Torchwood AU

A new torchwood team pick up a weird alien signal to a recently found tomb as they explore they reach the end of this labyrinth which only leads them to a exit, fully uncertainty and having no idea to what it was they go back to their normal lives but as time goes by unusually events of bad luck and disaster take place but un expectedly they re awake back inside the tomb in random locations now trying to figure out what this mean they’re forced to find a way out of their entrapment, stopping what ever is happening to them before it cant ever be undone or something far worse.

Time Traveling Gwen:

1) Howl of Terror ability: by channeling the Core, (night of the Fendahl) Gwen can create vocalizations of various levels to strike mortal terror into the hearts of all organic/sentient beings in her immediate vicinity. Range depends on the strength of the vocalization as well as how active the Core is, but it also is indiscriminate and will also effect allies.

2) Superhuman: while channeling the Core, Gwen gains superhuman strength, stamina and defense, with no need to eat, drink or sleep. This comes at a cost though: channeling the Core comes with an altered state of consciousness where everything seems dreamlike, and once you stop channeling the Core.... You're going to crash, hard. It's not pretty.

3) Slowed/stopped aging: after briefly traveling with the First Doctor and company, Gwen, Rhys, Sarah-Jane, and the others all gained drastically reduced aging, the same as Ian and Barbara, "the immortal" professors at Cambridge.

(The Doctor never did figure out just what was leaking in the TARDIS back then to give his human companions Gallifreyan lifespans, but no matter how much he tries to replicate it, it just never sticks, and there's been thousands of slap-dash repairs done to the TARDIS since Barbara and Ian left-- narrowing down the options is impossible, and too dangerous to put the TARDIS and his companions through. )

4) universal translator: after *once again* traveling with the Doctor (a future regeneration, who crashed the TARDIS in their brand new bathroom), Gwen and Rhys both opted to get the advanced option of translator circuits wired to their brain so they can continue to communicate with alien life forms even when not traveling in the TARDIS. Even before they got the universal translator procedure, They'd both had a lot of time and practice picking up the more "common" alien languages.

5) Foreknowledge, of the usual Time Traveling Fix It Fic variety, and then some. Gwen knows of, and knows how to stop/prevent/mitigate a few hundred near doomsday events... And that only covers the next 5 years. For reference, she's been doing this for over 40 years at this point, earth-time wise.

Tracking time spent traveling with the Doctor became an effort in futility once that damn vortisaur ate the wall calendar...

6) Contacts, friends, and support networks, oh my!

Living next to Sarah-Jane Smith for years means you run into a lot of the Doctor's friends. Traveling with various incarnations of the Doctor means you run into even more; suddenly, you're not alone anymore, and you have someone to fall back on. Therapy helps, too. Gwen's gotten a lot better at coping with her reality, and the key to that is communication. She tells Rhys absolutely everything, immediately.

Oh, and she also calls up Billis Manger so she can punch him in the face.

literally!!!! like she's definitely incredibly traumatised don't get me wrong but unlike all the other companions who took their pain and made it so that nobody else would ever feel like that, clara oswald decided to use it to make herself worse. everything she does is half for the bit and half bc she thinks it makes her look hot (unfortunately it does)
