Whumpees and Hobbies

(Some) of my whumpees and their hobbies! Clyde is below the cut because bugs.

Nik - wire work. Mostly jewelry but other stuff as well.

Rudy - crafts! Just all crafts. He does all of them. Anything with color.

Brody - scrapbooking. Kayla encouraged it when he was really struggling with reading. He just really loves collecting ticket stubs and receipts and such.

Hilton - longboarding (and tattooing but that’s actually more of a bad coping mechanism). I highly suggest looking up longboard dancing cause it’s so cool.

JJ/Tool - cooking! A little baking because sourdough is just too interesting to him, but even then mostly savory flavor pallets.

Teddy - doodles and drawing. Mostly charcoal. He liked doodling before but during the attic he focused more on technique and charcoal.

And under the cut! Clyde!

He likes bugs. Specially beetles. Really fascinated by them. Mostly taxidermy thought because he travels so much for work (I don’t consider photography as a hobby because it’s literally his job.)

Hi ! I love your art and took inspiration from you to do the front page of my notebook for my theater lessons !

I unfortunately had to do it on the paper from the notebook directly instead of drawing paper so I'm a little disappointed with the results but I like what I did when I was figuring it out, on the drawing paper (and also on tracing paper for some reason ?)

Overall I'm so happy I could kind of replicate your technique for the light while using cheap wax pencils (stinginess wins 💪)

Anyway, thank you for posting your art it altered my brain chemistry 👍

Reading the Robin 1992 annual and Anarky and Robin’s dynamic is absolutely killing me, like Tim and Lonnie are both incredibly smart geniuses but also absolute losers and interacting with each other just turns the loser switch to yes and the genius switch to no. Any time something goes wrong they blame the other for fucking up then fuck up the exact same way.

Their dynamic is permanently old man shakes fist at cloud but directed at each other.

thinking of minos referring to v1 as "creature of steel", acknowledging its creation by mankind but how he may possibly view it as almost animalistic in nature now (he cannot judge its actions necessarily and does not blame it really for its imparted instincts, but it must be destroyed as it threatens what little is left of human souls) vs sisyphus calling it "child of man", a phrase used to either emphasize humanity's lesser status toward god/angels or as the title for the one who would usher in the end of days...and simply, purely, "weapon". it is an unthinking harbinger of destruction on any level - it will come, it will destroy, whether as an animal, as a tool, or as an entity. both a force of nature and the result of human hubris...ouughhaaa

Tickle vibration rod review illustrations were drawn for us. It is interesting to see how different people use and tickle in totally different places. As mentioned in the review, I think it is fun to find different ways to use it.
