I really didn't think people would want to read canon stanford dean and cas (lie)

#i get it tbh #I started writing it with the intention of castiel being an angel all along #there is just something about him being a celestial being. about him falling but not because of the literal fall but because of humanity #because 'too much heart was always Castiel's problem' #because the crack in his chassis didn’t make him broken but whole #because he met dean #and stanford dean. he's in his early 20s he's alone and lost and longing for a home he never really had #but then he meets cas and suddenly everything seems just a little less dark #yeah....i think I'm gonna keep the angel <3 #txt.

In 13x7 Duma stated that no new angels have been made since the beginning of Creation, making Cas around 13.8 billion years old.

To put that into perspective; if Cas was 30, the birth of the solar system and earth would have been around a decade ago, the dinosaurs about a month. Humanity popped up 6 hours ago (along with the first demons and presumably most monsters). The Exodus was about 3 min back, Jesus less than 2. His entire time with the Winchesters would have lasted half a second.

Dad!Spencer Headcanons

(requested by anon for my New Year's Celebration)

Spencer could not be happier when you tell him that you're ready to have kids. He always wanted to be a father.

When the baby is born he goes on parental leave to be able to spend as much time with his family as possible. He might even decide to take time off from the BAU and take on a teaching position so he can be there more.

He is so excited to finally be a dad and reads every book about parenting he can find.

He proves to be a great dad from day one. You can always rely on him to be there for you and your child.

He is used to an irregular sleeping schedule due to his job so it doesn't bother him to get up at night to take care of his kid.

It doesn't take too long until you decide you want to have another child and Spencer is just as excited as the first time to start this journey again.

He loves to read or recite children's books to his kids and they love listening to his voice. Soon they start sharing his love for books.

Spencer loves to watch them grow up and learn new things. His eyes are always filled with wonder and adoration when he sees their unique way of discovering the world.

He is really involved in his children's lives. They feel very safe with him and always tell him when something is on their mind. It warms your heart to see how much they trust him.

He keeps every single drawing and art piece they make. He would never throw away anything his kids created.

He loves to spoil his kids and he has a hard time saying no when they ask for something while looking at him with their big eyes. Sometimes you have to remind him to not overdo it.

Spending quality time with his family is really important to Spencer. It quickly becomes a family tradition to do some fun activities on weekends.

He makes sure that his children can explore different kinds of activities to find out what they like and what talents they have. It doesn't matter if it's art, music or sports, he will be there to support them.

Other kids from the neighbourhood or from school are always welcome at your house. Spencer really likes to entertain his kids' friends with little magic shows. He wants his children to have everything he missed out on as a kid.

Spencer has a hard time letting his children go when they grow older and need him less. He accepts it of course but sometimes he wishes that they would stay little forever.

i wish cas was able to remember everything naomi and heaven stole from him. i feel like i've said it before, but i think an absolutely insane batshit reveal they could have done was cas remembering every time he rebelled against heaven, was for all the humans he loved throughout history. a little girl he'd pick flowers for, a man who's smile he couldn't help but notice was the only one he noticed. just cas loving humanity and humans all throughout existence and every single time heaven stole them from him, reset him.

this would have been a beautiful storyline for cas in season 15, especially building up to the confession. too much heart was always castiel's problem and he loves, and he loves, and loves, and dean is the one thing loves so much that he wants, which made all the difference. because no matter what was written by chuck or stolen by naomi, castiel could not be controlled when it came to dean winchester because the second he laid a hand on the righteous man in hell castiel was lost to heaven; the very touch of dean freed cas from them.

tldr; we deserved to see cas remember the memories that were mind wiped and realize that everything he has ever done, the good and the bad, he has done for love.

Everything uses radio waves these days. All wireless broadcasts and communication. Radio, TV, phones, the internet. Cas is wifi enabled.

Dean has always thought that was pure and utter bullshit. Since the very moment Alfie told him. Maybe he was never what an angel should have been like. But in Dean's book that doesn't mean that is meant to be a bad thing. Heaven, the angels and everyone else who thinks it is can go to Hell. He himself was never what he was supposed to be either.

Too much heart... was always Castiel's virtue.

Yeah, that sounds better. It makes him who he is, different, unique, special, a rebel. The one that doubted, the one that believed and fought for what he thought was right. He makes mistakes, all of them do, he loves immensely, too. He wouldn't be able to do that without his heart.

He stares at Cas, still sleepy, hair a mess, except for that one side that was pressed against his pillow and looks flat now, he has a soft smile on his lips as he stares back. He wonders if they ever told him, to humiliate him, to taunt him, just in case they did he tells him, "you have such a bright heart," that's what Cas always says about Dean's soul even if he hasn't been able to see it for years now, he is conviced it's still as bright. Dean likes to believe him. It's comes out kind of out of the blue, he reaches to press his fingertips against Cas' heartbeat. Castiel seems to see behind his words. His smile grows brighter.

"It's all yours."

And Dean will do all he can to keep it safe.
