Aztec Revenge (2015)
Tumblr media
The 3rd in a series of English language lucha movies starring WWE Hall of Famer Mil Mascaras. After a number of Aztec artifacts are stolen from a university The Man of a Thousand Masks is called in to retrieve them but must fight a giant robot and mind controlled ninjas in order to do so.
At the time of filming the Lucha legend was was in his 70s and this shows in his slow paced fight scenes where he does include some wrestling moves like clotheslines and head locks. Most of the action in these scenes is by the ninjas who jump about menacingly before being easily swatted away by the masked hero.
Tumblr media
Mascaras is shown briefly in a wrestling match during an early scene and his opponent is played by Tony Kozina who has appeared on both TNA and WWE TV is small spots.
A number of other luchadores are shown in the movie but these are played by actors as opposed to wrestlers.
Featured Wrestlers:
Mil Mascaras as himself
Tony Kozina as Mil's Wrestling Opponent
Wrestle Rating:
4 out of 5 costume changes
Tumblr media
This movie is ridiculous, over the top, unrealistic and a whole lot of fun. While the former All Japan Pro Wrestling PWF US champion is past his prime in this film he still oozes cool and the obvious dubbing of his voice somehow adds to the fantasticness of the film.

The 5th team for King of Trios has been announced, and it’s a doozy! The Throwbacks team has been through many iterations over the years, and this year, Hatfield and Angelosetti find them paired with the former Simon Gotch, now known as Simon Grimm! In a previous life, Grimm competed as Ryan Drago and was a part of Team EPIC WAR in the 2009 King of Trios tournament where he fell in the first round match to The F1RST Family, put along with Tony Kozina pinned Hallowicked and Frightmare in the annual Gauntlet. Along with Icarus, Hatfield and Angelosetti made it to the finals in 2014, but fell to the Devastation Corporation. This will also be Dasher’s 7th consecutive King of Trios tournament. With Grimm by their side, will this be the year he and Mr. Touchdown finally win the whole thing?
King of Trios 2017 - September 1st - 3rd, 2017 - Wolverhampton, England
1. House SENDAI Girls: Meiko Satomura, DASH Chisako, & Cassandra Miyagi
2. House Rot: Hallowicked, Frightmare, & Kobald
3. House Xyberhawx: Sylverhawk, Razerhawk & Nytehawk
4. House Calamari: Chris Brookes, Kid Lykos, and Travis Banks
5. House Throwback: Dasher Hatfield, Mark Angelosetti & Simon Grimm

American Dragon [2001]
2001 was the year that Bryan Danielson began branching out as a professional wrestler. Wrestling as American Dragon, Danielson had just parted ways with the WWF after spending a year in their developmental system, during which time he learned from and wrestled the great William Regal. It was in 2001 that American Dragon wrestled in the ECWA Super 8 tournament in Wilmington, Delaware. Among the competitors in said tournament were Billy Fives, Mike Sullivan, Jayson Reign, fellow former WWF contracted talent Reckless Youth, and Tony Kozina. There was also Spanky (Brian Kendrick) whom Danielson had trained with and would later join Ring Of Honor with, as well as fellow future ROH star Low Ki, whom defeated American Dragon in the finals.

Grad Trogir
_
PRIKUPLJANJE PODRŠKI JE U TIJEKU. FINALNI POPIS BIT ĆE OBJAVLJEN POČETKOM TRAVNJA 2017.
UKOLIKO ŽELITE PODRŽATI OVU INCIJATIVU, JAVITE SE NA FACEBOOK PROFILU GAT-a.
UPDATE: PETICIJA JE PREDANA NA NADLEŽNE GRADSKE SLUŽBE 24. TRAVNJA 2017.
_

Angry
That's the word of the day.  Angry.  Angry because 1) It too me so long to see this story and Angry because 2) this involved two men I respected a hell of a lot.  Respected, meaning past tense.
For those of you who don't know, Team Ambition (Davey Richards, Kyle O'Reily and a few others) were booked to work some matches in Iowa this past weekend.
Essentially and in Kyle O'Reily's own words, they decided amongst themselves that they weren't going to wrestle in their separate one on one's but instead decided (because Kyle had an owie on his back) that they were going to tell the promoter that they wanted to do an 8 man instead.  .....and these are men who claim to know all about the business.  Men who claim that they LOVE and RESPECT the business, yet in two separate incidents back to back, they prove this theory to be a flat out, fucking, lie.
So back to this part of the story.  Kyle claims that after calling the promoter and telling him that they wanted the change, it was met with hesitance (according to the promoter, it was due to them not wanting to take a pay cut because he was getting less out of them than originally thought and I'm sure the events of the night before weighted on his mind, again that part comes later.).  Eventually after they refused less money, to do less work, he told them to go home.  And as we all know, unless you're salaried, you don't work, you don't get paid.
Not according to Davey Richards.  Davey and Kyle thought that they were still owed the money than, even if they weren't wrestling.  Because apparently being booked and already on the road (despite it just being 2 hours away from where they were) is grounds for getting paid.  So after being told they weren't going to be needed, they still showed up.  An hour after bell time, mind you.  Somehow they got lost, in a world with GPS's, Google Maps and cell phones, they got lost.  Right.  I believe that.
So they get there, and the promoter, despite having unwelcomed and uninvited performers show up, demanding money they didn't deserve, he was able to work out an agreement.  Kyle O'Reily and Davey Richards (the two most well known of the bunch) would work a tag team main event.  The Promoter even agreed to pay upfront, at a discounted price, to help resolve the issue.
Davey, Kyle and the rest of the group then leave.
That's right folks, they pulled a move that Sid Vicious and Scott Hall have yet to do.  Kyle then takes to the internet, calling themselves #TeamBandit on twitter, because now they're the cool rebels of the wrestling world.  I'd be remissed if I didn't mention that the money has been allegedly returned via Paypal.  Allegedly, I have no proof to confirm that.
This was all over respect mind you, that they claim to have.
However, the night before, Tony Kozina, who I will refer to from now on as Douchebag, decided to take a kid to task.  Douchebag was scheduled to wrestle a 16 year old named, Ryan Kidd, but apparently Kidd had said something or did something that Douchebag deemed "disrespectful".  What this is however has yet to really be explained.  Some claim it was a joke he cracked on twitter or his twitter bio offended DB.
So Douchebag takes the mic and tells the kid, the audience and everyone listening that he's going to shoot on this kid.  This poor kid tries his hardest but Douchebag takes every advantage he can with him, it becomes clear that Douchebag is trying to hurt the kid and that no semblance of a match is ever going to happen.
Douchebag locks on numerous submission holds, chokes, all kinds of MMA styled holds, in an attempt to make the kid look pathetic.  Along the way, he throws the kid around with some Sambo styled suplexes, very stiff clotheslines (Douchebag throws Kidd so hard across the ring, he actually breaks the ring), and the worst, two unprotected and unnecessary piledrivers.  The match ends when Douchebag locks in a choke hold on Kidd and he passes out.
Kyle O'Reily then goes on his blog and proclaims that what happened was between Kidd and Douchebag and nobody else.  Except, that it happened in front of a life crowd, on tape and he cut a promo about it.  So yeah, it's no longer just their business.
The only one advocating what went down is BJ Whitmer, a relative nobody from ROH's glory days, who couldn't crack anything past mid card status.  He's going around telling people that this is how people police themselves in pro wrestling.  I don't know what he's looking at, but this was not policing, this was assault and battery.  Tony Kozina bullied a 16 year old kid.
Some people are saying "well the kid was 16!", like that makes it ok.  Because every 16 year old needs an ass beating apparently.  People, who are to busy idol worshiping, claim "the real issue is that we have a 16 year old wrestling grown men!"
Sean Waltman, Jeff Hardy, T.J. Perkins, Teddy Hart, Harry Smith (DH Smith), Jay Lethal and many others, started as young, if not younger.  So don't play that card.  That's a bullshit card in this matter.
When it comes to BJ Whitmer, Davey Richards and even a former guest on our show like Kyle O'Reily, I have lost all respect for these men.  Defending and essentially advocating what happened to Kidd is bullshit.  And it shows me that they're not fit to be in this business.  Rule Number 1 everyone should always hear; protect the person you're working with.  If you can't do that, you don't deserve to work.  Apparently that's not in Team Ambitions Bible.

Great Night
That was a fun and interesting night with the CWE boys.  On the plus side I met Tony Kozina, DDT star Shigehiro Irie, Bullet Club's Chase Owen, and ACH!  I got to drive Irie and Shane Sabre where they needed to go!  Crazy fun night.

A summary of Team Ambition Gate
Kozina beat up a kid, Richards was shifty and shitty all weekend, Team Ambition kept showing up later and later, they tried to get matches changed and lied about shit, they outright threatened a promoter into getting their money, then they ran.
Also Davey being proud labelling them #teambandits online and liking anything to do with any mention of them being robbing bastards.

Tony Kozina Vs. Ryan Kidd Magnum Pro - July 28th, 2012
Have you ever seen a match that was just so intense that it made you feel dirty? Like not so brutal, or so violent, or so wild, but just so intense that you just sat back, furrowed your brow, and said "Man... That sucked."
This is one of those matches. The story here is that 16 year old Ryan Kidd was slated to take on the challenge of Tony Kozina in Magnum Pro's So Cal Young Boy Trial Series. Why this match is slated as a "So Cal" series is beyond me, considering it took place in Iowa. Anyway, apparently, prior to the day of the show, Ryan Kidd had been talking trash online about Kozina, leading to this beatdown. One of the worst things about this match is the consecutive piledrivers delivered by Kozina, who looked like he was legitimately attempting to injure Ryan Kidd and end his career before it began.
Seriously, I know the name of the promotion is Magnum Pro, but just because the name is Magnum doesn't mean you have to be a dick to get into it.
Brutal joke. I know.
