i know it doesn’t make much sense in universe, but i think it would be very funny if , through some series of unfortunate events, at some point every single one of the sons of fëanor held the title of high king of the noldor for atleast a day

Rings of Power + Tolkien Fusion Meta
Elvish Love, Sex, and the Single Maia
“Elves only love and marry once.”
Yeah, the Laws and Customs of the Eldar (Elves) aren’t this clear-cut. Foremost, Elves reflect Tolkien’s devout Catholic ideal including his strongly held belief in the dangers of unbridled sexuality. Also, Tolkienverse runs on morality and mysticism, not science.
Update: After performing direct research and analysis on Tolkien’s LACE text, I’ve come to new conclusions. I’ve highlighted updates in this post in blue. Otherwise the rest remains aligns and unchanged.
For Elves love =/= marriage. Most unions are love matches but at . However, Tolkien did write about Elves who love yet never wed à la courtly love. Elves that love with our reciprocity, even when married. Moreover, of lusty Elf men who wed Elf maidens with dubious consent gained from questionable means.
But sex complicates things. Elves are monogamous. And it's not just culturally.
Elf sex = marriage = binding. Elf marriage = intent + sex or binding of hröa/body and fëa/spirit. Since Elves are inherently bound to Arda’s fate through their fëa/spirit, marriages are thus eternal.
Most couples have children early in marriage and with each child, their sex drive would diminish. It infers that sex (at least cultural) is viewed as being primarily purposed for begetting of children. Based on that, though not explicitly stated in text, it’s also inferred that “real” sex, that kind that led to bringing, would be was PIV (pen-in-vagina). Perhaps a consolation price strong incentive for eternal monogamy, Elf sex is intensely pleasurable.
For Elves, choosing the right partner critical. Divorce doesn’t exist. More accurately, divorce can’t exist because Elves can’t unfuck-bind themselves. But the Valar, spirit stewards of Arda who favor the Elves, are capable. Otherwise an unhappy Elf couple could lead separate lives, and maybe love others, but not remarry.
Can widowed Elves remarry? In the uncommon event an Elf dies, its spirit is summoned to the Halls of Mandos (aka purgatory). After an unspecified amount of time, the Valar will typically reincarnate them. During this Time of Waiting, both dead and living Elf spouse remain bonded. Upon reincarnation, the formerly dead spouse returns home like returning from a very long trip to the store for bread.
As it stands, the Valar will unbind a widowed Elf’s marriage in these rare events: the dead spouse refuses the summons to Mandos (usually evil Elves), eschews reincarnation like Míriel (Celebrimbor’s great-grandma), or denied the opportunity like Feanor aka “Mr. Fuck the Morgoth, Valar, and Teleri Elves.”
Therefore, in RoP, even if Celeborn were indeed dead, he and Galadriel are still bonded. But look, the way she said, “And you? My king?” sounded thisclose to RISKING IT ALL for power and sitting on Halbrand’s handsome face for eternity.
Asking for a friend: Can Maiar and Elves “marry”? Yes, with ample space for speculation and theory
The only canon union between a Maia and Child of Iluvatar (Elves and Men) was Melian and High-King Thingol. They begot Luthien, a powerful Elf and fairest Maiden ever. She even once beat Sauron in a duel.
Maiar are disembodied Eälar or spirits that contrasted with fëar/spirits of Elves and Men. Halbrand is Sauron’s fana/physical form he can change like clothes. But far as an Maia-Elf marriage aka sexy times goes, it’s unclear if it’s inferred binding is like Elven marriage because begetting children requires mutual intention to impart each parent’s spirit to the child. But either way, it doesn’t provoke any mystical moral cockblocking.
Well, one thing is clear: Melian literally fucked around, begot Luthien, and found out such activity had a side effect. She became permanently bonded to her fana. Donning a new fana requires the death of the bonded fana. To note, even though Melian bonded to an Elven fana, she retained her Maia spirit class.
What if Thingol had an Elven wife in the Halls of Mandos? Understand that Elves live on Middle-Earth to guide Men toward a righteous path. Elves and Maiar cucking dead Elf spouses certainly defies Tolkien’s “ideal devout Catholic” behavior. Assuredly he’d invent some mystical punishment to reenforce monogamy. Perhaps even Valar intervention but if they let Morgoth and Sauron run wild, I doubt it. But without precedence, it can only be speculated.
But renegade Maiar like Melian and Sauron do not give a FUCK nor need the Valar’s approval. If they want to fuck elves, THEY WILL FUCK ELVES.
Thus, irrespective of likelihood, conscience, or wisdom, no laws bar love and/or sex between Galadriel and Sauron. Platonic besties, chaste courtly love, or cucking Celeborn to the end of Arda - do you, you crazy kids. Since she is still married to, the closet thing to binding with Sauron would be with a 3rd party conduit and magic. Like a blood oath. Or rings of power (teehee).
Many challenges exist to a productive Galadriel and Sauron union beyond the metaphysical. And the most awkward would follow her spirit husband’s reincarnation. Imagine Celeborn discovering Morgoth’s first lieutenant has been railing his wife for centuries (now that’s a good fanfic prompt).
Thank you for reading! Your likes and reblogs are appreciated. Got feedback?
What did you like? Got theories or insights to share?
Disagree? I love good faith debate and sparring!
Something not quite making sense? Got feedback on readability?
Spot an inaccuracy? Hey, Tolkien's work is complex. Drop it in comments or DM.

please tell me about your dnd campaign, stranger
hi hi hi hi hi hi hi do you have any idea how happy i am to get this ask. you have activated my trap card this is going to be SO long i am sorry in advance but The People Need To Know About My D&D Campaign.
so we’re playing in Adventures in Middle Earth, which is. supposedly a Tolkienverse-specific 5e mod but frankly it’s robust enough to fully count as its own system if you ask me. like it has its own guidebooks, character sheets, premade adventures, and features mechanics that 5e just straight up doesn’t have. it’s like if 5e were actually good. anyway. may i present to you:
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ The Mirkwood Campaign 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
so what, exactly, happened in the intervening years between the events of the Hobbit and LOTR? we did, BAYBEEEEEE!!
we are:
Murdoc, a hobbitish warden (adventures in middle earth’s version of a bard), played by yours truly!! raised in the shire and eventually moved out to the middle of mirkwood by an eccentric uncle who idolizes bilbo baggins, murdoc is the heir apparent to the brandybuck family inn. unfortunately for murdoc, he has developed extremely nasty prophetic dreams and is now burdened with the ability to see the future! a skill that has definitely left him with a very normal relationship to his new day job of Being An Adventurer!! i am unhinged and have uh. Talked About Him A LOT If You Care To Read This, but he is full of murderous rage and also tea and loves his friends very much. he also, more recently, surrendered himself as bait to the great werewolf plaguing mirkwood, trusting completely that his friends would come and save him. he was right. they did. and he lost his right hand in the process. :)
Ríros, an elven warrior (aime version of a fighter), played by @jaz-the-bard. tall, buff, sunshiny, and an absolute himbo. ALSO loves his friends VERY much and this is KEY. unfortunately for ríros, he is a redhead, and that does cause problems in a world where maedhros feänorion once existed. (stranger, i am so sorry if you are not one of my silmarillion regulars and did not know what you were getting into by asking me, a silmarillion blog, to tell you about my d&d campaign, and now have no idea who or what the fuck i am talking about). ríros is notably not maedhros though! he isn't even noldorin!! maedhros is a ghost who lives in his sword (and who is also played by jaz)! and who also maybe kind of accidentally possessed him one time, if you wanna read this here for a better explanation of ríros mostly but also all of the above.
The Bearer, a human slayer (aime barbarian), played by @thymo-leonta. grumpy old man. unwilling father to all these young and stupid adventurers he’s been stuck with. are they all adults? yeah sure. they’re still Children. we are making him go grey. also full of murderous rage. looks like he's running from his perfectly normal, happy, loving family. is actually acutely aware of the fact that he has been doomed to die. killed the werewolf that took murdoc's hand. as a consequence, became the werewolf that took murdoc's hand. has two dogs, both named Dog <3
Déorwyn, a human wanderer (aime ranger), played by @shadowkat2000. resident party Horse Girl. a fellow sufferer of The Bad Prophetic Dreams^TM. because this is not quite unfortunate enough for her, déorwyn Hears Dead People. apparently our GM gives her extra secret bonus ghosts that the rest of us do not hear or know about! this being the source of her foresight makes her pretty distinct from murdoc, despite them both seemingly suffering from the same thing, in ways that i have LOTS of emotions about. her horse is named windrider and Their Bond Is Unbreakable uwu
and @potatoobsessed999, our obligatorily Extremely Ominous GM!
(we are also occasionally joined by Ioreth, a human treasure hunter (aime rogue), whose player is unfortunately not on tumblr. a founding member of the party, has earned the epithet The Feral, mostly loves to hang out in the woods by herself, look for shiny things, and cause chaos. as a beorning, she CAN astral-project herself as a bear. it rules. once got possessed by a ringwraith, probably holds the most compassion for characters who have been through similar out of any of us. is usually covered in mud.)
initially in the employ of radagast the brown, a tenure that did not last due to murdoc's insistence that saruman is evil (i mean. yeah lol.), we're a group of adventurers traveling mirkwood with the aim to defend it as sauron slowly gathers power. we are
very
successful at the Fighting And Killing Things part of this
we specialize in:
lugging unconscious bodies through the woods!
lugging DEAD bodies through the woods!
lugging EACH OTHER'S bodies through the woods!
lugging things through the woods in general!
setting things on fire (usually murdoc's fault)!
making fun of our enemies so bad they just give up!
INCLUDING the ringwraiths (shoutout to ríros)!
serving annoying politicians subpoenas!
murdering them like the one time it was totally justified we promise!
accidentally convincing the council of mirkwood that murdoc's inn is a small fiefdom!
being generally cursed (except for ríros) (he just looks that way)!
HIRE US to take care of whatever problems are happening in YOUR local cursed forest! wights? patricidal politicians? generally awful politicians? sauron? the same fucking werewolf again? it's definitely just tuesday to us!
you can count on
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ the union of murdoc 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
anyhow, jaz is absolutely wonderful and has written several fics of our party, including (but not limited to):
Cooking Contest for the Free Peoples, based on an in-game conversation about beating sauron at competitive cooking,
In Which There Are More Ghosts, which is not canon to game but is in fact Extremely Representative of the exact kind of nonsense we get up to (campaign's haunted),
A Stranger With a Friend's Face, a canon to game horror story of how ríros got slightly possessed, the party acquired maedhros, and neither murdoc nor déorwyn managed to explain the presence of the vengeful ghost residing in murdoc's scepter and bullying him in his dreams to any of the rest of the party right up until this very moment,
and this wonderful drabble from the horror arc in which we were isolated inside of a haunted longhouse. complete with party memes here.
there's more, and i am going to a.) pick on jaz to add them if they can find them, and b.) pick on my beloved friends in general to Please Help Me Infodump About our Game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, I’m Poet, I’m 20 years old, and this is my (updated) intro / pinned post! I’m an English major (so, longwinded), and enjoy history (WW2 & Civil War history specifically), TTRPGs, animanga, and somehow tying everything back to a Taylor Swift song. I am afrolatina, queer, and go by he/she pronouns (equal preference). We love female friendship and burning, arduous pining around these parts. Chances are if you have an OFC I will be declaring her as my wife upon first meeting. Do not be fooled by my interests, this blog is like 60% Ronald Speirs loveposting /hj. Also the notorious unhinged tagger which I wear like a badge of honor.
Current Fandoms: Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Tolkienverse, Riordanverse, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, The Hunger Games, Dungeons & Dragons, The Walking Dead, 1883, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Yellowjackets, and much more.
If you’re here for the writing, check me out on AO3 or at the tag #poet’s notepad. If you’d like to peruse the cast of characters we have going on around these parts, check out the OC DIRECTORY CARRD. WRITING PROJECTS: Sad, Beautiful, Tragic [ongoing] | AO3 , Tumblr | fic tag
Losing someone is one thing. Losing someone you don't think you ever had is another thing. But losing someone never had, only to see them again two years deep into a war tearing the world apart? It’s the worst luck of the most terrible draw. And it’s the only lot that Ronald Speirs seemed to pull.
In December of 1942, Daisy Clarke made herself a promise — she would not pen another letter to Ronald Speirs, no matter how many he sent to her.
Apparently, she needn't write one anyway — because the universe would deliver her directly to him after she becomes a nurse to do her part in a war felt on both sides on the Atlantic. It’s June, 1944 — now forced to face what she left behind head-on, one has to wonder if she can upkeep the promise she made all those years ago, or if her resolve will crumble when facing the man who once lived right across the street.
And one also has to wonder why she would take such a vow to begin with.

I'm sorry if this is rude, and you totally don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but i'm curious - why in the world are you using the name "flower of Laurelin" for a as far as i can tell 100% mcyt art blog? Like, no judgement or anything, but it just genuinely throws me for a loop every single time lmao
Hahahaha!
So I made this blog back in 2018? I think? And I had every intention of making it a Silmarillion blog. I made a lot of Silm art just for me while I was a teenager and I actually still make Silm art for school projects! I called myself Flower of Laurelin because Arien, the Maia who carries the sun, is my favourite character in the whole Tolkienverse. (She has one whole paragraph talking about her.)
Also in 2018, both The Dragon Prince and She Ra and the Princesses of Power started airing on Netflix and took over my whole brain and I instead started painting fanart for those two shows and posting it here, and they were all fairly popular paintings. This was during the gap year I took before heading to university in 2019 and it really helped me develop my art style! I realized that since my style is more like realism I could adapt cartoons in a really fun and fresh way. And I was always like oh well I’ll get to the Silmarillion stuff soon… And then I went to university and did Illustration projects on the Silmarillion, as I’d always planned to do, and I completely forgot my Tumblr art blog, which was very infrequently posted to until 2021.
Then when I was in university I started getting excited about Minecraft’s updates because I hadn’t played since 1.13 and cool things were coming up and so I typed “Minecraft” into YouTube and found Pixlriffs’ Survival Guide. And then I got into Hermitcraft bc Mumbo and Iskall would show up in the recommended. And then Pix joined Empires I got into the whole Empires crew, and by then I was getting burnt out of never making art just for me and only for assignments and I took an hour out to sketch the Copper King during class, which I posted, and people liked it! And Pixlriffs himself emailed me that same day to say how much he liked it! And then I was like okay well there’s a niche here—there’s little more cartoony than a Minecraft skin so my style would work great here, and wow it turns out there are a lot of people into this too! A lot of other awesome artists! And my work got more and more attention until I got to work with the CCs on their series and now I’m a mcyt blog.
TLDR; I was supposed to be a Silmarillion blog because I used to make a lot of Silmarillion art, but in the time since making my URL I ended up getting into other fandoms instead by accident! And now I’m a mcyt blog even though I’ve kept my original URL because I like it a lot 😋

okay so i love how you've engaged with this fandom and all of its lovely, crazy fans, so i'll probably keep coming back to ask you questions :)
anyways, in light of a lot of recent interviews with charlie and the writers where they've said that there were no romantic intentions with gal and sauron, do you think they may change their minds after seeing the reaction from the fans? i know fan service is a dangerous thing to engage with as a creator in such a big franchise, but it seems like the best path forward imo, but i'd love to hear your thoughts!
Awww, thank you! I have so much fun talking to all of you! I am just 150% obsessed, and this has taken over my life. I have never, in two decades of being a Tolkienverse fan, ever shipped anybody in this universe. Never. Never. With that out of the way, so you understand how obsessed I am, for them to finally find SOMETHING after two decades to turn ME INTO A SHIPPER??!?!?!
. . . They can say that all they want, especially while they sit here and use this stylized portrait of Galadriel and Sauron together as the promo pic on their main page for the past THREE WEEKS NOW.
Tumblr media
THEY KNOW WHO THEIR FANS ARE. LISTEN, AMAZON, YOU'VE ALREADY RE-WRITTEN THIS MUCH. WHAT YOU GOT TO LOSE?
YOU BETTER KEEP RE-WRITES UP, OR I'M COMING FOR YOU.
In all seriousness, I don't think they'll ever make it a full shipper thing, but I do see them continuing the ambiguity of these two across the course of the show. They made the whole balance between Galadriel and Sauron the focal point. They will revisit it over and over. Trust me on that. And I'll be honest, I'll take it.

hiiii! 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, and 22 for Sigrid for the fandom ask game please! :D
1) OTP?
Barduil, shocking absolutely no one.
2) OT3?
Answered here!
3) NoTP?
I'm about to get myself in trouble. For Tolkienverse: Thranduil/Finrod, Thorinduil, and almost all the Silmarillion ships. For BNHA: E*********, S********, S*********, B******, and whatever the ship name for Re-Destro/Shigaraki is.
4) Is there a popular pairing you don't necessarily dislike but aren't too invested in?
Gigolas, as evidenced by the fact that I've written approximately zero fics where it's a major thing but hooked Legolas up with Sigrid and with Ori at least once each.
12) What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with?
Answered here!
22) Give us a headcanon for [character]!
My premier Sigrid headcanon is that of the Bardlets she's the one who's most willing to pick a fight, but also (in movie!canon) the one who's least likely to go through with it. I think that she most likely inherited her temper from her mom, only to be mostly raised by Bard, who rarely if ever loses his cool officially. She would have learned early on that hiding her temper is the way to go, and as the pressure to be a good example for her siblings grew, she'd become more and more likely to suppress it and blow up later. The combination of older-sibling need to be responsible, parent-child temperament mismatch, and strong sense of justice creates kind of a perfect storm.
Thank you for the ask!

Something I find fascinating about Melkor's character as a villain and how he fits as the satan-figure of the Tolkienverse is that he's ridiculously powerful and strong, he's brought kingdoms to their knees and marred the earth and yet...he's totally pathetic.
This guy is second in power only to God Himself and yet he's a complete coward and a loser. It's almost laughable, the sheer levels of pure lameness Melkor is able to reach. This is the dude who once went to the ocean just to scream curses at it in one draft; who was practically peeing his pants at the thought of having to fight Fingolfin; who put the largest bounties on the heads of thieves despite Melkor being a thief himself, with the evidence of it burned into his very flesh. He wanted to rule the world but then the moment he realized it could never be his and only his in its entirety, instead of admitting defeat he decided that throwing an eternally long temper tantrum about it all the while destroying everything and everyone around him was a much better idea.
And its so, so different compared to other fictional depictions of demonic/satan-esque characters I often see in the media, where they make him into this cool, attractive noble suave guy. It's honestly kind of refreshing, finding a fictional depiction of a Satanic figure who is none of those things whatsoever.
Can I see Melkor as an attractive, charming guy at the beginning? Sure. But at the end of the war of wrath, when he has wasted so much of his power and fallen so incredibly low? When he's in constant pain all the time? When he's just so incredibly awful that even his most devoted servant comes to hate his guts? No way.
Especially when Evil in the Tolkienverse is often associated with physical and mental deterioration(think Gollum), Melkor was bound to be a complete and utter wreck, a sad pitiful shell of the once great ainu he used to be, by the end of it all. Because that's what evil does to a person. It destroys them from the inside out until there's practically nothing left.

As I'm trying to re-organize my tumblr blog, I've figured that I should re-introduce myself for any future followers!
Greetings, my name is Michael but you can also call me Mike or Emrys (the latter would be my artist name as well as my middle name, one that some people know me best by)
My current age is 17, I go by He/Him pronouns, and I've been on tumblr eversince 2021, at which time I mostly posted and interacted with blogs about classical literature, Dostoevsky specificly! As such, you might find this a re-occuring interest of mine on this blog, coupled with whatever else I'm fixating on!
My interests tend to be all over the place, and as such, decided to divide them into 4 main categories:
History
Classical literature
Fantasy
Current specific interests
History;
This can include any of my historically based interests I had from 2020-2022 and the ones I recently developed from 2023-2024 (now). This is a huge category as it ties into mostly all my interests, especially the longer lasting ones. Relating to this category would be things such as:
• 2020-2022, 18th-19th century
(Fashion, historical events, culture, literature, art-history, music, shows related, movies related)
• 2023-2024 (now), the 80s/20th century
(Subcultures, punk-rock, heavy metal, sub-genres, historical events, fashion, (fantasy) literature at the time, shows related, movies related)
Classical Literature (2020-2022);
This is a big one! Reading classical literature has defined parts of me since I was 13 years old. Though it includes various stand-alone works here and there, the two I most interact with on here would be:
• Dostoevsky (more specificly, the brothers karamazov)
• Frankenstein
This is due to the fanbases being rather large, although there's some wonderful works on dorian gray, shakespeare, any russian literature, horror fiction (E.A.Poe), greek mythology, dracula, moby dick, etc.
I have never found this site lacking on my favorite books! And it always feels like there is space enough for your own contribution :)
Fantasy;
This one is recent. It ties strongly into my 80s hyperfixation(s), though it's more of a pattern which makes me like the 80s so much! I've been interested in fantasy when I was very young, but at the age of 13 classical literature took up all my time for the next 5 years or so. I look forward to reading more literature on the subject! Some main ones would be:
• tolkienverse (lord of the rings, the hobbit)
• dungeons & dragons (I'm planning a campaign)
• anything related such as fashion, events, oc's, diy
• sci-fi (typically fiction, like the mechanisms, doctor who or star wars)
...the eldritch horror vibes I love are also somewhat related to this category! Fantasy horror if I had to put a name to it. Artistic horror. Guts and gore and a tragic story.
Current specific interests;
This list keeps updating, since I tend to hyperfocus on shows for weeks if not months, untill I find something else. Still, they always linger and re-occur, so I've decided to list the ones current. It'll be necessary to put them in an order from most to least interested;
The Magnus Archives (tma) (might actually develop into a longstanding interest)
The Mechanisms
Original Characters
On this blog, I tend to mostly reblog fanart and awareness posts (rarely), but in the future I'm hoping to solely post my own art and reblog fanart of my interests! As well as posts relating to them. It's what I usually do really, but my goal is to interact with this site more, through my own art!
I do not post any nsfw content, though I might reblog or post slightly suggestive content, if I find the artwork aestheticly appeasing. I'm ace so it's not a regular thing. I will also not tolerate any bigotry on my blog, for obvious reasons.
You can find me on insta under the same user name! DM's are usually open, asks too, although I tend to answer very late. I also can't promise to post regularly, but I will be trying my best!
Asks and art requests are open!!

Book asks 1, 2, 5, 14?
Book you've reread the most times:
I think the technical correct answer is actually the NIV Bible but only because I went to a Mennonite school and read the thing in full at minimum once per year, plus sections for various classes and Bible memorization etc.
HOWEVER if we're talking books I read because I actually wanted to read them, the answer is that I reread my big Lord of the Rings trilogy copy so many times that it literally fell apart. And then I did it again. So now I have a copy for display and a copy for reading because I got tired of having to replace it on my bookshelf.
Top five books of all time:
Woof okay. Well obviously I am going to just group literally all of Tolkien's works together as Tolkienverse because otherwise that list will be all Tolkien and nothing else.
Storm Thief and The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray I will group together as one despite being very different books by the same author, if only because I read them back-to-back and both times went "WOW, I REALLY like this".
In Viriconium I read for a concept art class back when I was in college and again was left with a "WOW what a BOOK" by the end of it.
Similar to the Wooding books above; Forests of the Heart and Yarrow I also read back-to-back and similarly went "WOW this is AMAZING"
Moreta Dragonlady of Pern gets a mention because very rarely does a book move me to have a physical emotional reaction like this, but I was so caught up in Moreta's ride that I forgot the previous books in the series had told me how this story was going to end, and I hit that ending like a brick wall and literally had to put the book down for a little while because I couldn't see through my tears to continue reading. Only a small handful of books have made me cry like this and I knew the ending but it didn't matter and I sobbed for her anyway.
Where do you buy your books?
Recently I purchased my copies of the Wolf series by Jane Lindskold through thriftbooks. I have really no complaints about the service so once I'm done reading through the series I'll probably buy through them again. Usually I buy through secondhand shops and local owned places if I can, but for newly released or out of print books that can be difficult.
Do you ever mark/dog ear books you own?
Incredibly infrequently and usually with a copy that is in bad shape, for research purposes. I spent a long time teaching myself Elvish from Tolkien's works so I bought a secondary copy of various books in order to make the notes required to learn. Pretty sure I did the same to my aforementioned Bible but I've long since tossed that shit in the trash so I can't check it to verify.

Feanor & Finwe
Anyone else just find their relationship so intriguing?
Their bond is one of the strongest in the Tolkienverse and probably the #1 strongest familial one but it is so unhealthy despite being so beautiful.
The reason being they cause each other's problems but they can never blame the other.
Feanor was so hurt by Finwe’s remarriage, the thing that separated him from his mother forever, but could never be angry at Finwe for it and instead pushed his resentment onto Indis and his half-brothers.
Finwe loved Feanor so dearly, he literally forgave Feanor for threatening Fingolfin, who is also his son. And he also abandoned his duties as king to follow Feanor into exile, which got him killed.
And in the end, as fate has it they’ll both be in the halls Mandos for eternity with each other.
The person dearest to them in life at their side forever in death.

If it’s permissible to send Terrible Haladriel Prompts: Celeborn returns! …and he has a cuckolding fetish. (Forgive me, Professor Tolkien…)
I shouldn't have let this sit in my inbox for so long! Someone beat me to it!!
Unless y'all want another one! I admit this one had me howling, but I got distracted by other things! That was a Modern setting, but I was gonna write it in the original Tolkienverse setting. Anybody still want this? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

9) Have you ever collaborated with anyone on a fic?
I have! My collaborators include @corndog-patrol and @dogblessyoutascha, and I've worked with them on fics for both BNHA and the Tolkienverse. They're both insanely talented artists as well as writers. I've felt really lucky to get to be part of their creative process.
19) What's the most unusual or unique setting you've used?
I write a lot of AUs, so I find myself with these a lot. I think the most unusual (unusually specific) setting I've used is northern New Hampshire in 1977, and the most unique setting is the postapocalyptic void known as the Night Land, inspired by William Hope Hodgson's novel The Night Land. As a concept, it's terrifying to ponder, and I wish I'd been the one who came up with it.
28) What's the most ambitious or challenging fic you've ever written?
I try to challenge myself a little bit with all the fics, but the most challenging to date has been Enough to Go By, which is a canon-divergent Shigaraki x reader fic. Part of the reason I like AUs so much is because I'm not tied to the message of the original work as tightly, and with canon-adjacent or canon-divergent fics I feel more pressure to justify the existence of the fic. I can't just say, "I want to add this and so I'm going to." I feel like I have to somehow make it fit into the original, which is...not possible. So in addition to recontextualizing/reinterpreting the messages of the original, I also have to remind myself that it's my fic and I can do whatever I want with it. It makes things more complicated than they need to be for sure.
Thank you for the asks!
