Elorcan decorating their house for Christmas and dancing to Christmas songs in their living room
A/N: it’s still Christmas until at least January 5…right? ; ) I hope you had a great holiday! Thank you for your prompt. x
*sorry, no “read more” link. I’m on mobile for this one!
Warnings: none
When Lorcan got home from work, their living room was covered in red and green totes that Lorcan knew were all labeled “Christmas”. Some of the totes were heavy - he knew, considering he was the one that had carried them downstairs at the end of last season - and he was surprised that Elide had brought them all up from the basement by herself.
Now, she was sitting in the living room, trying to untangle a string of lights with the cutest furrow between her brows.
With a huff of laughter, Lorcan walked down the stairs in his sweatpants, needing to get out of his damn work attire as quickly as possible. When he strode into the living room, he asked, “How long have you been at this?”
Elide blinked and said, hesitantly, “A couple of hours, at least.”
Lorcan chuckled and leaned down far enough to press a kiss to Elide’s head before disappearing into the kitchen. He came back with a glass full of wine. “If you’re going to punish yourself with untangling lights, at least get tipsy.”
Elide laughed as she thanked him and took the glass. After a hearty gulp, she went back to the lights.
Their tree had sat naked in the corner of their living room since they had gotten it two days before and Elide had been itching to decorate. Plopping himself down on the floor, Lorcan took the lights out of her hands and made himself comfortable. “I got this. You’re on ornament duty.”
Lorcan was a snob about Christmas decorations. They all had to match, all of them being black, white, or light blue. The only one that wasn’t was one that had their wedding anniversary date on it, that Elide had made for their first Christmas together at a pottery shop with her friends.
As Lorcan wrestled with the lights, Elide took the ornaments out of their packaging one by one and set them aside, ready to put on the tree once Lorcan was done untangling the lights.
Thirty minutes later, Lorcan nearly had them undone. For someone with gigantic fingers, he had always been pretty good at getting out knots and tangles. To Elide’s pleasure, the tree was strung with lights before the sun even began to set and the ornaments were being hung from the branches.
Their height difference pleased Elide for many reasons - one being that she just thought it was cute as hell, how much taller he was than her. But it also came in handy during tree decorating, when he could reach the top of the tree effortlessly. Elide only had one request, and that was that he lift her up to place the star on the top of the tree, which he did with no complaint.
Once the tree was complete, they hung their stockings over the fireplace and wrapped green and red ribbon up the bannister.
Elide, elated, fell onto the couch with a content sigh. She downed the last sip from her wine glass as she looked around, dwelling in the Christmas spirit. She opened her mouth to tell her husband to cuddle up with her on the cushions, but White Christmas started softly playing through the speakers. Elide looked over her shoulder at Lorcan, who was walking towards her with an outstretched hand.
“Who are you and what have you done with my husband?” She muttered, letting him pull her off the couch and into his arms.
“I’m feeling romantic,” he said, his hands sliding low on her back as he began to sway them along to the music. Elide fell into him, breathing him in, this big burly man that she married that was a complete grump with everyone but soft as hell around her.
Elide’s laughter filled the air as Lorcan spun her around and dipped her dangerously low to the ground. She yelped as she clung to him, but Lorcan’s grip on her was firm as he brought her back up. Wrapping her in his arms, he kissed her, slowly, gently.
Their dancing subsided as they got lost in that kiss. It was moments like this when it felt like no time had passed between them at all. Even though they had been together for nearly a decade, when he kissed her like this, it felt like the very first time.
She hoped that feeling never faded. She hoped that it would always feel like the first time, that they would never lose that spark, no matter how many Christmases passed.

Throne of Glass
The Assassin's Blade:
A 4 star read for me. It was good but from what I heard before reading it I expected it to be a 5 star read and was a little disappointed.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Throne of Glass:
A 4 star read for me. Usually every first book is kinda boring to me but I loved this one. I loved Celaena in this book and I loved Dorian. I loved the competition and the hidden passages. The mystery was fun.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Crown of Midnight:
A 4 star read for me. We see Celaena more in her assassin nature in this book and I really liked it. I'm a big fan of Celaena, she's fierce but she's also adorable.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Heir of Fire:
A 5 star read for me. But – what's her name? Ehat am I supposed to call her now? It was kind of confusing but I was so excited for Rowan to get introduced and how they went from hating to tolerating to liking each other. "Who did this you?" Hell yeah boy! And Manon got introduced, too. Queen.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Queen of Shadows:
Another 5 star read for me. More action for the witches and for Aelin and Rowan. Abraxos being a sweetheart. Valg. Aedion got introduced. Nesryn got introduced, my love.
⭐⭐🌟⭐⭐
Empire of Storms:
A 5 star read for me. We are seeing a bit of Terrasen and then we are in Skulls Bay again. More Manon. More Rowaelin. More heartwrenching plot. Amazing.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tower of Dawn:
A 3 star read. It's definitely not a bad book but it's also not the best in the series. It was necessary for the plot and I loved Nesryn chapters. AND WE MEET YRENE AGAIN YAS!
⭐⭐⭐
Kingdom of Ash:
A 5 star read. SJM ripped my heart straight out of my chest and asked me if I'm okay. I'm not. Loved it.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
TOG Series:
A solid 4 star series.
⭐⭐⭐⭐

I saw your Indiana Joe posts and raised you a Joe Wick. The legendary former assassin who got out of the business when he fell in love with Nicky and settled down to a life of sweet domesticity with the love of his life. But, instead of losing Nicky to a horrible illness, Nicky is still there when the past comes knocking, and being an incredibly supportive husband, just rolls with it. Turns out he's a sharpshooter savant after one try. Joe has to scrape braincells off the floor upon learning it.
I’m sorry to say that I know nothing about john wick except for the fact that keanu reeves is in it 😔 but I would read a thousand fics based on what you just wrote omg can somebody who knows more than me make it happen please?
