So, one of my favorite AU ideas is what if Sakura was born an Uzumaki, that her parents were also from the village hidden in the whirlpools and came to konoha as “back up” for kushina. Most events would remain the same, Sakura would however be far more talented and capable. Having the minds eye technique at her direct disposal and a lot more chakra. She’d also be a bit more kind, sympathizing with sasuke over the loss of a clan. She’d become what little family sasuke had left. Inviting him over for dinner occasionally. They trained together. Sasuke for revenge and sakura to spend time with sasuke.

The three sannin would all be capable of incomplete sage transformations, slug snake and toad. And in this edited picture, sakura is using slug sage mode!

BTW that “frog sage” is Gama Sennin, the Toad Immortal; here is another woodblock print (actually a triptych) by the same artist of the same legend:

Kuniyoshi has outdone himself with the cave of Gama Sennin, as all the rocklike outcroppings are comprised of frogs, and a giant frog spectre hovers over the magician. In the center panel, Yoshikado has been consulting a scroll of some sort, and looks up in surprise, his hands in the ‘astonished’ gesture that Kuniyoshi favored. The motivation of the two young people is of course vengeance for a murdered loved one. A scarce design.”

i get pissed off everytime I think about the fact that jiraiya spent two and a half years on the road with naruto because the man taught him NOTHING. I get that he couldn't teach him sage mode or the rasenshuriken because of the plot in shippuden. but there was still so much he could have!!

like fuuinjutsu! jiraiya was literally a specialist he could have taught him something. help him connect more with his parents when he does eventually find out about them.

his chakra nature! that was not something that only kakashi could have taught him.

it just feels like such a waste because on the other hand we see all the other characters doing something new and getting stronger for it while the mc just gets stronger in theory and when the plot specifically calls for it.
