I need ToA fans, especially white ones, to remember that the Arcane Order are walking slurs. Not just transphobic-wise but also xenophobia & racism wise.

No, I'm not being too sensitive or whatever, this is a recurring problem in ToA. (Just round up the villains and their names, what imagery they borrow from, what magic they perform, what they look like).

Basically, tread carefully around these characters- how you interpret them, how you talk about them, or you might be just repeating the cycle. There is so much room for interpretation because they were developed / onscreen for so little. So hm, do consider what it says about you....

Bellroc and Sakrael have knowledge of technology. If u show them a fridge they'd go "Ah like people in the cold winter would do. A cold box for your food to stay fresh. Now it's convenient for any weather..."

However I think they'd be excited like to see idk dinosaur bones being shown in order to their accurate size, the documentaries about space and evolution that blew us away as kids, etc. They may know things well but the fact that humans care about learning the past with detail is super amusing to them.

Not to mention they'd be revisiting their own life, like a family photo book. I think the AO would feel appreciated by that. Humanity's good traits and wonder make them 🥺.

Hi, I noticed that you don’t have asks open on your art blog (which is totally fine!) so I’ve come here with a question that I have, if you don’t mind.

I love that you’ve posted about the Arcane Order and how misrepresented/appropriating they and their designs are, especially as an Indigequeer person myself.

I wanted to get a second native perspective on an aspect of an AU I’m developing- that being facial tattoos. Would it be acceptable if I were to use simple, almost universal symbols (a tree, the sun, and the north star) and provide an in-universe explanation of their meanings?

So, I think... I've made the impression in fandom that I'm an authority to consult about Bellroc and Skrael's misrepresentation, but I need to remind people here, that I'm not. (I'm not angry about it btw). You don't need to ask me what's acceptable and not! I'll be able to give you my opinion, sure, but I think people have the power to figure it out, too.

All I had said before about the topic with charged words, I might've said out of grief, which is valid too, but I was mostly directing it to privileged/colonizer appeasing ideas in fandom.

Most importantly, Bellroc and Sakrael aren't disrespectful just because of how they look. Really, I'd have no issue if they looked as they did, IF their cultures were explored and respected! If representation was genuine... (Doesn't help that the main characters are so whitewashed vs the villains always having a type of marginalization).

My recommendation: Go do it, especially if it gives you indigenous queer joy and connection!

Did I play with Nari's clothing and its design, or would I say that it evolved? I don't know but I had fun with it. Maybe I'll also do it with bellroc and skrael, a new outfit from the previous one? Maybe but for now it's an idea.

The air of superiority of the previous trollhunters in the series is hilarious.

Jim is the first human trollhunter who managed to defeat everyone he faced off in just 2-3 years and leading the forces that defeated Morgana and Bellroc’s arcane order. He killed Bular, Gunmar, Angor Rot and a freaking Demi God. He saved the world over and over again. On top of that he’s the only trollhunter who survived.

They really do judge Jim at every opportunity even as he continously does things they never could bruh

The other trollhunters (centuries of trollhunters) weren't even able to kill Bular lol

I played with the ideas I had in my head about order and I thought… many years of life, a lot of free time, have you ever tasted human blood out of curiosity? And that's where this drawing came from.

My style changes as much as I change my clothes guys, but I think this is definitely the latest style on them… I'm still not convinced by Nari though.

I'm tired of not uploading much, I'll get my batteries, I love these brothers and I want to draw them more.
