Fushi from To Your Eternity feels something in his bones. Had this idea in my head for a bit. Maybe a bit Spoiler character wise.
It's not really G/t unless you count the bear. But i just really wanted to make this. Happy how it came out!
It’s 3am where I live and I just finished To Your Eternity season 2 and mAN I’M SAD.
⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD⚠️
🗣️KAHAKU DESERVED BETTER‼️
Upset is an understatement for how I feel 😭
How does the author have the AUDACITY to give us this perfectly fleshed out character and then treat him that way 😭
During that entire arc, he was the only one that genuinely cared and worried about Fushi’s wellbeing while everyone else just took his abilities for granted and misused them 😭
And he was constantly pushed to the side or brushed off 😭
I know he is a descendent of Hayase, but you could see a genuine difference in Kahaku when compared to the other generations 😭
His love for Fushi grew organically even after he claimed he was only interested in women 😭
Yeah he went a little psycho at the end but that’s the unfortunate burden he had to carry in the form of a Nokker in his arm and Hayase’s soul 😭
It’s only been ten minutes since I finished it and I already miss him 😭
After watching this week's episode of To Your Eternity, I checked the fan wiki. I didn't know that the manga volumes had so many extra bits of lore.
Like religious legends, diary entries, recipes for Nokker meat, excerpts to the in-universe romance novel "Love lives in the Hypothetical". Even an in-universe board game!
The 2nd Opening theme also makes references to the cover art and extra illustrations
The opening also makes reference to this little symbol that accompanies the extra lore material.
AUNTIE!!!?? 😭 YALL I AM CORRECT, IM NEVER SHUTTING UP ABOUT THEM —IM FERAL PLEASE THEY ARE AUNTIE-NIECE BUT ALSO SISTERS PLEASE THEY ARE ALL FAMILY THE BONDS ARE REAL 😭🤍
I’m on the floor sobbing my heart out,, I’m crying for days, I’m well fed for this week and am going to cry harder when it’s over (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)
Okay but genuinely Fur.ina gives a lot of thought for Solita.
Just. Being a liar and a performer to the very end, someone stretched well beyond their means trying their hardest to keep up the show.
Just like Fur.ina, Solita still has a human mind. She's forced to play along in some sadistic play for Deity, and the responsibility of a good portion of the multiverse on her shoulders.
Having to be someone else in front of an audience, being exhausted with playing up a mask. Being so lonely because of having to continually lie, and hide what's really going on. Silently begging for a moment of release. A moment to not have to be what isn't herself.
But I can imagine Solita's inner mind being a stage too. As a theatre kid and someone who already likes performing, but also just. Feeling like her life's a stage and needing to cater to what people expect from her.
Heck, even these lines are pretty in-line with Solita and Deity's dynamic. Solita is flawed, emotional, and painfully human. And those flaws are exactly what make Sol perfect to Deity? Just like another series i take inspo from:
But even if Deity loves her, they still bound her to them. She's trapped to live as long as they have a need for her.
Even when someone tries to get past her guarded secrets and see what it's like when the spotlights aren't on her anymore, she still fights back.
A song without a voice.
Idk the vibes of Fu.rina and Foc.alors gives Sol and Deity in some ways. Not exactly the same, but it's certainly enough to make me think.
Deity and Solita's relationship is much more close. Like Fur.ina only knows Foc.alors as "mirror-me" vs Sol viewing Deity as a parent and all that.
