Record of Justice: Wonder Woman! Reader HCs
Tumblr media
I am so gay for Diana.
- Brunhilde doesn't HESITAITE to choose you as one of her champions, seeing as you're both demi-gods who come from a warrior race of women, I can see you and her honestly having a lot in common together.
- But yeah, no, Diana's whole thing is that she wants to save the world of man so even of Brunhilde didn't choose her, you would have still chosen to fight because it was your duty.
- So Wonder Woman has multiple origins: Her original one being that she was born from clay by her mother but there are versions she has a dad which kinda switches between Hades and Zeus. Zeus will be your father in this case because I genuinely like the idea of him blowing his fucking gasket when he sees you enter in the side of humanity.
- "YOU KNOW HER, YOU LOVE HER: LADIES AND GENTLEGODS, GIVE IT UP FOR THE AMAZONIAN PRINCESS AND SAVIOR OF MAN: (Y/N)!!!"
- Ares and Wonder Woman have so much beef in the comics so you and him definetly don't see eye to eye now. In fact, Ares would fight you himself if he could but like, you're also kinda scary when you're mad.
- Zeus and Poseidon are literally about to blow a fucking gasket when they see you. Zeus is more subtle as usual as he's all: "Oh, well she's always been the black sheep of the family!" but in reality, he feels deeply betrayed. Poseidon isn't surprised honestly, he genuinely believes you should have grown up with the Olympians instead of on Themyscira because then maybe you'd learn to look down on those pathetic humans instead of protecting them.
- Tbh, Poseidon does have a bit of a soft spot for you as his niece because you're the only one whose ever DARED to back talk him despite knowing his power. He wishes your mother, Hippolyta, wasn't such a stubborn woman. I can totally see moments when you're absolutely destroying Gods and Poseidon just smiling proudly at you but then quickly scowling so no one can see him.
- However the Greek Gods who explicitly still care for you are definetly Hermes, Hercules, and Aphrodite.
- Aphrodite, being your big sister, absolutely adores you even if you two aren't on the same side. She smiles when she sees you and if she can, she will try to catch you in the hallways and pull you into a hug, meanwhile you're kinda suffocating in her bosom. She compliments you on what a strong and beautiful woman you've become, the only reason she isn't upset with you for "betraying" the family is because...well, you've always been like that. It's just nice to see you again♡
-As for Hercules, you both are Demi gods and while you acknowledge humanities faults, you welcomed him with open arms and appreciate his dedication. You two might not be bound by blood but the way you carry each other's ideals and respect and tease each other, its very clear you two have an unbreakable bond.
- Hermes adored you since you were born. Despite Themyscira's laws that men weren't allowed on the island, he was a God, and would happily come and see you to play with you. Taking on a big brother role in your life, he smiles softly as you glare at your father and he thinks you're just as cute as when you were a little toddler struggling to walk on the sandy beach coast of your island.
- As for the human side, they're all in literal wonder of you...which makes sense regarding your hero alias, but when they watched you at work: you impressed everyone while Brunhilde smiled at you and it pissed Zeus off even more when you both shook hands and sent him smug smirks on your faces.
Enemies/People Who Dislike You:
- Ares is a huge hater as I stated before, maybe you humiliated him in the past in front of Zeus, or maybe it was that one time you stole his helmet in a fight and became the New Goddess of War for a while but either way: you and him should never be in the same room together because not even the Gods can predict that disaster.
- Loki thought the rope thing was kinda hot but found out the hard way WHY it was called the Lasso of Truth. Even when he is shaped shifted, he will revert to his normal form if you ever catch him with it AND YOU ALWAYS FUCKING DO. He also can't even try and mislead you by telling you half truths because he just blurts out the truth right away. Everyone absolutely adores you for it, ngl since Loki doesn't even bother pulling tricks when you're around and when he sees you fight for humanity, he throws a huge tantrum...He still finds the rope thing hot tho...
- Zeus. He has conflicted feelings for you, he does love you but he wishes you wouldn't always go against his wishes...though he supposes thats what he gets for having your mother raise you instead of him. You show him respect but you clearly harbour bitter feelings for him betraying your trust and wanting to wipe out humanity and he understands that. It still doesn't give you the right to laugh about him with Brunhilde and he'll be sure to get you back for it.
Allies/Friends Who Trust You:
- Brunhilde is honestly a good friend of yours, I genuinely think she sees you the same way she sees Hercules but she relates to you a little more. (The Valkyries and Amazon's would have martinis on the beaches of Themyscira, fight me on that-)
- Shiva, honestly. He likes that you're strict but you can definetly be fun and silly in your own way. You honestly remind him of Rudra, who he totally tries to set you up with so because you two really have a lot in common!
- Obviously Hercules, Hermes, and Aphrodite but also: Poseidon, surprisingly...sometimes. Again, he does soften a bit when it comes to you and he wonders if you're simply stubborn and brave or stubborn and stupid. You are his favorite niece but also, the one that causes him to roll his eyes the most.
- Honestly, all of the Valkyries. When you heard about Brunhilde and her Völundr's, you knew that it was clever but also: that you couldn't just stand to let your fellow sisters in battle fall, the odds being against them. Also, the will all hug you and tackle you to the ground.
- Sasaki Kojiro is a human you take a liking too, he reminds you of a friend whose clad in all black...except he's more cheerful and happy and might have lost in life, but still: he never gives up. You admire those skills in a human and he gets all shy and flustered when you compliment him but I can totally see the both of you practicing sword fights and even moments where he beats you, which you're proud of him for doing, honestly.
- Adam. He genuinely just is the dad Zeus never was, even though you're not one of his own children, he'll fight like you are. Tbh, the only man that deserves to set foot in Themyscira and the other Amazon's would agree. Eve also gossiping with your Hippolyta in the crowd and complimenting her on raising such a wonderful daughter and they talk about mom things.
Admirers/Characters Who Have a Crush on You:
- Thor, just straight up. Since you're a fellow immortal, you two have somewhat known each other, you didn't really care much for the godly affairs so it wasn't often, but he's had the biggest crush on you. When he saw you fight so fearlessly in the crowd, those feelings came back 10 fold. Definetly wants to fight you because that's his way of flirting. Zeus and Odin 100% want to pair you two together to create an official alliance and while Thor wants you to choose him out of your own volition, he will suggest that it is a good idea.
- Jack the Ripper. HE HAS BISEXUAL PANIC BECAUSE HERCULES WAS ALREADY SOKIND TO HIM BUT YOU?? OH, YOU'RE TRULY DESERVING OF THE TITLE OF GODDESS, your color is so gorgeous; filled with such love and passion. After his battle, after he killed Hercules, he is ashamed to face you. But, amazingly, you do not look at him in disgust or shame. You kneel down and gently hold his face, you are in mourning, but you still kiss his head gently and tell him: "You fought well. Rest." and he just short circuits as you begin to carry him.
- BUDDHA, BABY. He loves how serious you are but also, that you can be pretty goofy honestly. Also loves how you stand up to Zeus constantly. Not to mention he certainly has a thing for strong women. But also, he finds your work inspiring, trying to guide humanity to a better life of enlightment. HIPPOLYTA ALSO TRYING TO SET YOU TWO UP BECAUSE SHE'S A COOL MOM AND SHE'S ALL: "You know, that Buddha has been staring at you~" and you have to be all: "MOTHER!" And he walks over to you and offers you a snack and you take it. Zeus hates him because he thinks Buddha would be a "bad influence" on you.

Let me just be a mythology geek for a minute...
So... Persephone...
Tumblr media
So, Stray Gods establishes that the gods for the most part do not remember their pasts too well. Because some knowledge gets lost each time the eidolon passes on.
To me this kinda makes for a fun option, though. Because... I am too much of a mythology geek not to look at this from the perspective of the development of the mythology. ESPECIALLY when it comes to Persephone.
You see, Persephone as a goddess is older than Hades. As in: Myths about her have been around for a much longer time than myths about Hades. Originally Persephone and Demeter were worshiped as "the two queens" by some old cults. We do not know much in detail what that worship entailed, but we know that for some people in the very, very early days of these gods, the two in their duality were very, very important.
You also might know that Persephone has the alternative name of Kore. Well, Persephone translated means Bringer Of Destruction, while Kore just means "the girl". And given that there is power in names and what not it is believed that the name Persephone was not spoken because people were afraid of summoning her. (Just as later on the name Hades was not spoken, with him being referred to as Ago, Aner or Laos.)
Now, the name Hades translates to "the Unseen". And... that brings me to one big thing.
Mythologically speaking Hades was originally not the god of the underworld or the dead. Again, he as a god came on fairly late and originally he was probably just an aspect of Poseidon, that after a while became worshiped as an individual deity. But even as such... If we look at the "three godly brothers" they are in fact God of the Sky, God of the Sea, and God of the Earth. Hades as a god is fairly new, but his association with the underworld and him being the king of the dead is even newer...
What I am getting at: There is a good chance that it was in fact Persephone who originally was the Goddess of Dead and Queen of the Underworld - with her and Demeter as the "two Queens" taking a kinda Yin-Yang theme of Demeter as a goddess of life and Persephone as a goddess of death.
Because let me make one thing clear: Persephone (you know, BRINGER OF MOTHERFUCKING DISTRUCTION) was never a goddess of spring. She just became associated with spring through the entire Hades and Persephone myth, with her returning to Demeter being the reason for spring. But she, as a goddess, is not a bringer of spring.
So, why am I rambling about this here?
Well, because if we took in this information... There is a good chance that at some point too long ago for them to remember Hades and Zeus usurped the throne of the underworld from Persephone, who was originally the queen.
God darn it, I need to write a fic about this, don't I?
EDIT: I started writing it. Here you go.

How I would’ve constructed the 10 year time skip
✨Brought to you by my deep loathing for Lore Olympus✨
•warnings: super long post (I’m not joking), death, kidnapping, violence•
What The Fuck Happened
There was so much potential for the punishment arc. We could’ve seen a lot of character development, fleshed out storylines, reconciliation between certain people. We could’ve seen both Hades and Persephone going to therapy instead of claiming that one therapy session has fixed all their problems and then never going again.
Instead we got horny Persephone, pretty much no clue about what happened to Demeter OR Persephone during that time, and an easy plot device (sorry Cerberus) for Persephone to be like “I’m a big girl now harrumph harrumph, time for me to go reunite with my crusty ass bf who I’ve only know for a month”.
I hate the way she reunited with Ares. Ares is just a bonafide creep throughout the whole comic (although I liked when he attacked Zeus lol). I guess what I mostly hate about Ares and Persephone’s interaction is, yet again, it’s another example of every guy in the comic going AWOOGA over Persephone. Also Athena’s design is so fugly. I guess Rachel is completely incapable of drawing masculine presenting women as actual women.
The whole Kronos plot line is stupid. I hate it so much. Imo the whole “the titans are trying to escape so they can rule Olympus again” is overdone and not particularly done well. The fight between Kronos and Persephone is lame as shit. Like what, she gets big for all of 20 minutes, burps out a bunch of bees (which aren’t even aggressive creatures), and then does her version of the Wuxi Finger Hold from Kung Fu Panda and has Tartarus spirit Kronos away, magically fixing all of their problems (except it doesn’t and nothing is actually fixed).
Also I might get a lot of flack for this, but I don’t think the addition of Morpheus’ character was necessary. I like Morpheus. I think she’s cute. But she’s a) slowly turning into another version of Hecate and b) not really vital to the narrative imo. We already have so many other characters and plot lines that take away from the central “romance” the story is SUPPOSED to be focused on. I just don’t think we need ANOTHER character whose arc is probably not going to go anywhere.
So yeah, overall very L writing, L plot, and L characters.
What I would do differently
The first thing I would change is that the whole punishment arc would be an entire season unto itself. You’ll see why it has to be a separate season.
The second thing is (and this literally pains me to say) in order for me to rewrite this portion of LO without rewriting the entire comic, I kinda sorta have to throw the entire timeline of Greece out the window. If I try to follow a timeline based on the history of Greece, the entire timeline of LO has to shift massively. I’m already getting a migraine trying to think about how I could possibly make it work.
I do know this: Instead of 10 years I’d do somewhere between 1,000-3,000 years. 10 years is a joke. When you’re a god, 10 years is a trip to the time out corner
For now, let’s just say (assuming LO takes place in the Ancient Greece era) and Ancient Greece spanned ~1500 years, Persephone’s punishment would’ve needed to have been established near the very end of the collapse of the Late Bronze Age, spanned the entirety of Ancient Greece as we know it today, and ended some time in the very early Byzantine era. So like what, 1500-2000 years? Fine. I can work with this.
The Famine
You know how the first 400 years of Ancient Greece was deemed the “Dark Ages” and it was a time of war, famine, and loss? I want to start the punishment there. It would make sense for what we know about the characters thus far:
Demeter has had complete control over the growth of the flora and fauna on earth. She’s the goddess of the harvest after all. But we also find out that while Persephone has been in Olympus, Demeter has also been carrying out her duties as the goddess of spring. Plus Demeter has been around for forever and a day. She knows what she’s doing
Persephone doesn’t (at this point in the comic) really have control over her powers. Even in her fits of rage, she ends up doing more harm than good (i.e. her act of wrath, turning Minthe into a plant, etc.). In comparison with everyone around her, she is a literal infant. I mean shit, she’s only been alive for 20 years compared to the fact that everyone else has most likely been around for a minimum of 500 years.
If Demeter is stripped of her status as a goddess (and thus her powers) it would make sense that there would be a lot of death and famine and war over territory/food. Persephone would be left with nothing: no guidebook, no how-to. Of course a lot of people would die while she’s trying to figure her shit out. It could also be a very interesting tactic for psychological warfare on Zeus’ part. Zeus KNOWS Persephone doesn’t know what she’s doing. He knows people will die. And he knows that since life is precious to Persephone (or at least that’s what she claims), it would punish her further.
We can see episodes of Persephone struggling to provide for humanity. We could have real world examples of the affect of famine and depopulation. We would see her struggling with her powers, her mental health. We could get an episode that explains how her hands got destroyed from trying to mimic her mother’s powers. We can see what the fuck happened to Demeter in Attica.
Now obviously things will eventually go on the up and up for Persephone and her compatriots. The whole 1500-2000 years isn’t just going to be one big clusterfuck. As time progresses and chapters pass, we could see real character growth for Persephone not just mentally, but in almost every aspect. Since she will have been alive at that point for over 1000 years, the readers would be able to see her newfound maturity. We could also see her build strong female support systems and strengthen her friendships, something we NEVER saw in the OG comic (or at least they never happened without Hades somehow being involved). You get the point.
What’s Old Man Hades up to?
I have big plans for Hades and none of them involve him going into a 1000+ year coma or getting possessed by his creepy-ass dad. He is an asshole though. I kinda wanted to portray him in this the way he is in the original myths (which for those who don’t know or haven’t read it, it’s not good).
So in Greek mythology, Hades actually had a wife before he even met Persephone or Minthe. Can you take a wild guess as to who?
Bingo! It’s Leuce. Contrary to popular belief, Leuce is actually NOT a home-wrecking POC version of Persephone (don’t @ me we all know the nymphs represent the lower class and POC). In mythology, Leuce was Hades’ first wife/lover and she died sometime long ago and I believe was turned into a white poplar tree. No she is not a cousin of Thetis and Amphitrite. She is not even remotely related to them. And Thetis and Amphitrite are sisters, not cousins. Do your fucking research Rachel.
Unfortunately, Greek Mythology doesn’t really mention all that much about Leuce outside of the fact that she was a daughter of Oceanus, she was kidnapped by Hades, and when she died (for unspecified reasons) she turned into a tree. Which means I’m going to be taking a lot of creative liberties for this portion of the post. Sorry to all you diehard fans of Greek myths out there. I shall try to do her justice.
In my head-cannon Hades and Leuce had been in an arranged marriage for thousands of years. Leuce was offered by Oceanus as a peace offering after the War and Hades, not really having any other viable options for a wife, agreed to take her to the underworld (much to her dismay). Over time, they grew to have a mutually loving/caring relationship. Unlike LO Persephone, Leuce was a good queen and she worked hard to make sure the denizens of the underworld respected her and that they were well cared for. Unfortunately, they got divorced because Hades starting having an affair with Minthe. Even though she loved her kingdom and the people of the underworld, she divorced Hades because she couldn’t stand to be around him, which, y’know. Fair.
A few notes: in my head-cannon, Leuce is still around leading up the the trial and punishment. Her portrait would still be up, we would see signs that Hades and Leuce still interact (more in terms of business, not romance), etc.
Also, unlike Persephone, Leuce would not take her anger out on Minthe or turn her into a plant or destroy her apartment. She would simply wish her good luck. She would be mad at Hades for cheating and for taking advantage of Minthe while she’s at her lowest. But I’m going to be straight up: even though Leuce is meant to be the better Persephone, she still has her flaws. She’s not going to feel inclined to help Minthe in any way. Would you want to help out the person who your partner is cheating on you with? The answer is no and if you say yes, you’re lying.
Anyways, during the Punishment, Hades and Leuce reconnect and Hades finds out Leuce is dying. He tries to convince her to leave the underworld and return to her father, but she insists that she is going to stay, even if it means she dies away from everyone she loved. She won’t abandon her kingdom, her people, or her ex-husband (although that’s much better than he deserves). They move in together and Hades begins to take care of her, even as she begins to deteriorate. They also begin to rekindle their past relationship and (with the help of a therapist) work through some of their past problems together.
Note: their relationship rekindles a couple hundred years into the punishment so by the time the punishment ends, they’ve been back together for a minimum of 1200 years
The aftermath and the Rape of Persephone
Before any of you go gaga over me for the title used above, the original title used for the myth is The Rape of Persephone (or if you want to be really original, The Rape of Proserpina). In the context of the title, the term “rape” means to be taken/kidnapped rather than having sexual violence inflicted upon you. Rape stemmed from the traditional Latin word “raptus” which means “to be seized” or “carried off”. Okay? Okay.
So after the Punishment ends and Persephone feels like she has thoroughly improved herself, she goes to find Hades and talk with him about their relationship. Mainly that she feels they rushed into it, and even though she does like him she wants to take things really slow (kind of like how she wanted before getting married 3 episodes later).
Upon arriving to the underworld/Hades house, her worst fears are realized: not only has Hades (seemingly) moved on, he has found someone else. Or rather, he got back together with his ex-wife.
Persephone freaks out (“who is she?”/“I’m his wife!”)
Persephone, throughly upset for getting her hopes up, flees back to mortal realm. Hades goes to leave Leuce, but not before she tells him that if he leaves her for Persephone, she will never forgive him. Hades leaves anyways, much to the absolute despair of Leuce, who is left wailing as he runs off.
Persephone returns home and finds Demeter and they hug. Demeter is initially horrified to see what happened to her hands, but is proud of the work she did during the punishment. Persephone cries to her mother about Hades, and Demeter tries to comfort her but it inadvertently comes off more as “I told you so” rather than “I’m sorry you had to experience that” (although Demeter is sorry that Persephone’s heart is broken). Persephone, already feeling incredibly emotionally distressed, lashes out at Demeter and they start to argue. This is when Hades arrives.
Hades sees Demeter and Persephone arguing and inserts himself into the situation. Persephone becomes more upset after seeing him and Hades (assuming that Persephone is upset about the fact that Demeter is getting in the way of their “relationship” and not the fact that Persephone discovered Hades went back to his ex-wife after saying he loved her) whips out the the “one personal question, no exceptions” card and proposes to Persephone. He insists that he loves her and only her and that they should spend the rest of their immortal lives together.
Persephone says no.
Hades, not taking no for an answer and not wanting to leave the mortal realm empty handed, kidnaps Persephone, much to the dismay of Demeter, Artemis, and the nymphs. Hades returns with a traumatized Persephone to the underworld to find that Leuce has died and turned into a white poplar tree. While Persephone is sobbing on the floor, Hades weaves a mock crown from the branches and leaves of the tree, places it upon Persephone’s head, and tells her she better get used to their life together.
Thus ends the season and the punishment arc.
Afterthoughts
Thank you for sitting through my ramblings. I officially joined the anti-LO community about the time the trial happened and had been wanting to make a post like this for a reaaaaally long time. Besides the fact that the trial in of itself was completely unethical (@genericpuff made a whole post about that) the punishment arc just really pissed me off. Like go girl, give us nothing!
Anyways, I may or may not do a whole timeline reconstruction of LO depending on how much I feel like offing my sanity with the amount of research that would have to go into that. Until then, I hope you like this post and look out for other anti LO posts coming your way :)

“I plunge to my death” Percy Jackson Au
Ok first, if you somehow came up with this exact thing already, i wouldn’t know, I don’t even follow the Percy Jackson tag yet, but just tell me and I’ll take it down or tag it as an alt universe of your au and credit it, but I have like three other ones I’ll be posting so we’ll see.
- This au is connected to both the tv show and the book because I like what both did in terms of the arch episode.
- This mostly goes how the tv show episode goes, Percy gets poisoned, they get to the top of the arch, he sacrifices himself. But this time, he does pray to his dad as he falls over 100 ft to his death.
- His dad doesn’t answer. He’s the one who somehow last second, controls the water to save himself. He sinks to the bottom of the lake and gets stuck. He feels the poison and his wounds get slightly better.
-In this au, the nereid doesn’t actually help him get out of the water, because in this version it’s inspired by how in the books, when he left the water the wounds came back. If he leaves the lake, he could die.
- So he stays stuck there for almost three days while the nereids bring him seaweed and shit to eat, but eventually he gets sick of it.
- he learns that Poseidon didn’t really want him to leave, at least not yet, mainly because he knew if he left he would continue to be chased by monsters or die in some way and believed a war would come either way. Basically, if the Poseidon that said “heroes always end badly, I regret getting your mom pregnant” actually did something about it
- but of course, he can’t keep Perseus ‘I don’t listen to anybody but myself’ Jackson down in a lake without him going a lil crazy and he breaks the root holding him down and swims to shore, but the poison instantly kicks back in, and gets back in the water
- his father gifts him a hydrai (a large vase/urn basically that carry’s water) that holds basically a portal to the ocean in it. GUYS LISTEN, I HEARD THIS MYTH SOMEWHERE BUT WHEN I TRIED TO FIND THE SOURCE IT DISAPPEARED. I was positive I heard that there was a vase that held the ocean in it somewhere so just take my word 😭
- the mist makes it look like a water bottle with no label 😭💀💀💀
- Percy accepts the gift because he wants to get out of there, but he suddenly does not have a very good idea of the gods or specifically his father. I don’t think the nereid actually told him that his father really did care, at least a little bit, all he saw it as was his dad not thinking he would succeed/ he saw it as Zeus turning Thalia into a tree because he didn’t want to idk disprespect the other gods? Cause it was easier than defending her? That’s how Percy sees it anyways
- Meanwhile, Grover and annabeth are convinced he died. They looked and called for him, but there was no proof of his survival, so instead annabeth took his place in a lot of missions to fulfill the quest cause she’s a girl boss like that.
- I think her main theory of what happened to him is straight up “I saw him fall and didn’t see him land, so maybe he turned into the lake or a tree or something too” 💀😭
- anyways Percy gets chased by another monster but has no more fucks to give. He’s scary. He’s pale, has dark eyes and a taste for vengeance.
- he tries to find annabeth and Grover but they’re pretty ahead of him.
- my main idea is that they meet again in the underworld with hades and they are little wary honestly.
- also omg I didn’t think of this before but what if they thought, hey, he’s in the underworld, guess he did die 💀.
-But anyways what I thought would happen was annabeth and Grover get there first and annabeth has the backpack with the bolt in it. Hades asks if they wanted a trade and that’s why they came. He bluffs and tells them if they give him the bolt and the helmet he’d let go Percy’s mom or “bring back” percy. (Hades knows percy is not dead and is kinda pissed that Percy is constantly on the edge of death but making it because of his dad technically, and he can’t take him to punishment field or whatever he calls it idk)
- I think annabeth chooses percy and is about to give the bag over, but realizes he was tricked and he was never dead. But idk. There are so many diff ways this could go and I’d love to hear how you guys would write it. I’d love some reblog a that add to this idea.
Also I need unhinged percy content
(Sorry if the art or wording is bad, it’s late and I’m tired)

Hi! I’m hope my request won’t be a bother and welcome back (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Can i have an angst scenario about Poseidon falling in love for the first time with a goddess of light reader who is just the most kindest and caring goddess who is also so beautiful and smart. In Poseidon’s view she’s the only perfect queen and wife for him but in the end she choose to marry Hades? Bonus if Poseidon meets Hades and the reader’s daughter being the exact carbon copy of reader. Kinda win sided love on Poseidon side. Thank you (^▽^)
-Poseidon could barely stand to watch, watching the light of his life, you, a literal goddess of light, getting married to another man, his older brother of all people.
-Poseidon had seen you first, arguing with himself like a child in his mind, doing anything that would make him feel less guilty.
-You were a beautiful woman, graceful, elegant, a heart of gold, kind to all you came across, you were perfect in his eyes.
-However, despite being perfect, he never once approached you, choosing to admire you from a distance, as if he thought his love would project to you and make you fall in love with him.
-He had no one to blame but himself when Hades approached you first and began to court you. Poseidon did nothing to stop it, he didn’t try to go after you, or try to woo you before his brother.
-He was forced to watch you fall in love with another man, losing you.
-Poseidon couldn’t go after you now, not going to do that to you or his brother, out of respect for both, but his heart still ached, watching you smiling at his brother, wishing with all his heart that he wanted to be the one you were smiling at.
-You were stunning in your wedding dress, you were glowing, and not because you were a light goddess, you just oozed radiance.
-Poseidon felt his throat clench when everyone in attendance was asked if anyone had any objections. He had a list of why he wanted to object but remained sitting next to Zeus.
-He couldn’t bear to stay at the reception, showing his face for a short while then leaving, furious at his own arrogance that kept him from approaching you.
-Five years later, Poseidon showed himself at the first public event in years, surprising everyone, showing up to your daughter’s fifth birthday, after refusing everything between then and now.
-Hades was happy to see his brother again as the two embraced warmly, Poseidon giving him a small smile, but he froze, seeing you there, dancing with your daughter, who was an exact carbon copy of you.
-Poseidon couldn’t help but chuckle, “Did you do anything in making your child?” which got him a playful shove from his brother, as many had said the same thing.
-You greeted Poseidon warmly, like he was an old friend, his heart still ached for you, but after spending year pining the loss of you to another, he had time to heal.
-Your daughter smiled shyly up at him as you introduced Poseidon to her as her uncle and Poseidon felt an adoration at the word, adoring being called Uncle by your cute little daughter.
-When she asked him why he hadn’t been around, he just gave her a smile, one that hid his pain, telling her that he runs his own kingdom, overseeing the oceans, and it keeps him busy.
-Your daughter came to adore Poseidon as he waltzed with her, holding her up in his arms, making her giggle and she was quickly laughing when Hades tried to cut in and you came and took her, cutting him off, leaving the two brothers dancing together, which caused laughter all around, but your daughter’s smile was all worth it.
-Poseidon knew he would never forget his love for you and his regret for not going after you sooner but seeing you so happy with your daughter and your husband, your happiness was all that really mattered to him.

okay! so you know how I'm a desperate bitch for poly rep... guess I needed to add the word good in front of that cause this shit isn't it.
So one thing that I just need to say.. is I'm confused where the fuck rs is doing her research, cause a polyamorous 'pod' isn't a very common term and has the exact same meaning as polycule. Cause rs has proven to not be one to actually do alot of research, so it feels weird that she used a term like that.
Tumblr media
Now another thing is that Poseidon wasn't polyamorous before... I could only really find two thing that point towards that. The first being a joke about him looking a second wife.. which in context is clearly just him using it to edge on hades... and it's never mentioned again.
Tumblr media
That and the end of season 2, with the one panel of a bunch of people including Amphitrite hugging Poseidon... I assumed this was just his children. I really don't dislike Poseidon being poly I think it could've been really good rep but rs either did have him being poly since the beginning and just never actually put any thought or time into saying it... or added it after the fact to lampshade and earn more points for being inclusive.
Tumblr media
You know what.. it may be the first... but given that we have Persephone saying the identical line as leuce.. and Hades just.. didn't correct her? like come on hades I know your a horny fucker but also Poseidon is now someone whos being actively bigoted against whenever someone saying he's a cheater.. and you don't stand up for him if the person is making you horny? Also it just retroactively makes all the bitching that hades does about his brother cheating gross... cause hades is now basically blaming Poseidon for how OTHER people wrongfully view his poly relationships.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now something that just really piss me off.. is that this is being confirmed by hades just saying he's poly.. besides one panel of him hugging his partners, we haven't actually seen him being polyamorous. Why was does he still only have one wife, why haven't we seen any of these other partners... and why aren't we learning this from Poseidon himself.
It just... annoys me, am I supposed to applaud at the fact that hades said the word polyamous? We just have Poseidon, Amphitrite and then bunch of nameless and basically faceless people... it just feels so half assed. You just had a wedding scenes.. have Poseidon and his partners be together during that.. have him mention his partners while they did the dumb best man bit. Like have us learn that Poseidon picked hades as his best man over zeus multiple times.. that would be a sort of funny way to learn about it.
Just a little bit more... it wouldn't be that difficult. It really fucking hurt when you have like four separate hetero-normative monogamous relationships that you give so much time and thought into but any level of queer relationship is completely fucking ignored. It's so fucking clear that these are just here to make this comic look more progressive when it just fucking isn't.
Like rs you went out of your way to make Athena and Hestia gay and then just never actually did anything with it... And now Poseidon is the same. You have multiple kinda unnecessary chapters learning about how Aphrodite and Hephaestus got together just so we can have the name drop of Kassandra really... But you don't have at least one chapter actually about either of the queer relationships in this comic.
Also I just think it's important to talk about Zeus with this. I've seen alot of fans say that Zeus is polyamorous because hes a serial cheater.. which is just a wonderful unproblematic stereotype/s. While I don't see as much of that directed at poseiden... he's very much repeatedly labeled as a cheater by the story, so again either rs planned for him to be a poly character and decided it would be... funny? if he was unchallengedly called a cheater repeatedly.. or again Rs retroactively made all the characters that call him a cheater just assholes and also decided it would be best to pick a cheater to be the polyam character.
This really just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, cause polyamorous people have so little representation and most of it is pretty shitty or stereotypical and lore olympus a story so focused on monogamous romances had a great chance to actually make something good... christ one chapter of just Poseiden and his relationship could be enough to make it good. Instead we have a character repeatedly labeled a cheater and then have someone else tell us he's actually poly.

Omg please hades son Oscar is what I need. He’s friends with Lando and they are the duo that everyone is scared of in camp cause they are children of the big three but in reality Oscar is really calm and very self-aware when it comes to his powers. Well Lando not so much because he likes the fact he’s so powerful, unlike Oscar. But Oscar always tries to control him as much as he can and it works. I can so see Max coming into camp later and he’s super insecure and guarded because of that. But the two warm their way into his heart eventually and now kids worry not only about Hades’ and Poseidon’s sons but also Zeus’. They are the new big three however their father don’t like it.
Oscar would date Demeter’s daughter and they are the perfect balance to each other. She’s life and he’s death and it’s just the way it was always supposed to be. I can see Lando dating Hades’ daughter so well basically Oscar’ sister and when Oscar finds out it’s the only time he looses control and maybe they have this epic fight that ends in half of the camp destroyed and them hugging each other in the end because it’s stupid to fight they can just talk it out (they can’t. Oscar just has to deal with it). Who would Max date??? I can maybe see Athena’s daughter? It fits I think.
Or well Charles. Charles is always a good idea
tbh i kinda want the big 3 kids to be only children like in the percy jackson series bc it adds a lil extra drama to be forbidden children, plus w lando as a poseidon kid i kinda want him w an athena daughter to keep up w the stupid boy/smart girl dynamic that percy and annabeth have because its sooo cute. my fav
if oscar had a sister, and lando dated her, there wouldn't even be a chance a fight, oscar would open the ground up and send him straight down to daddy. gf standing off to the side like 😦 did you just- did you just send my bf to hell? and oscar’s like oops sorry, i passively thought that i wished the ground would swallow him whole when i saw you holding hands but i didn’t expect it to happen? everyone in camp is staring down the ravine going through camp and then looking to oscar with fear in their eyes and he’s just like ): dont look at me like that im sure he’ll be back soon. my dad will get sick of him real quick.
lando’s in hades's realm playing fetch with cerebus and chatting up old spirits. hades pissed because some idiot is distracting his guard dog again. few hours goes by and lando appears in the middle of camp, a little dirty from his impromptu dive underground, but okay. gf doting on him and oscar's sick of it but doesn't make the world eat him again.
could also work w a lil love triangle/thrupple moment where oscar and her are best friends and he's hopelessly in love w her but thinks he has no shot and then he sees her and lando flirting and next thing you know a hole is opening under lando's feet and he's got a one way ticket to visit hades.
i could see max with a daughter of aphrodite, he’s normally very confident bc he’s so strong, once he settles into the camp all the girls are crushing on him and he flirts w them all so easily except for her. any other child of aphrodite yea sure pretty or whatever. but he sees her like picking berries with oscar’s gf from demeter and just stops and stares and oscar is like “y’know my girl can put in a good word for you!” and max gets all flustered and is like “im a son of zues, i don’t need help picking up girls.” oscar daring him to go talk to her if he doesn’t need help, and max doesn’t back down from any challenge so he goes to talk to her. he gets a few steps away and forgets how to speak, the rehearsed lines fade away and he’s turning around just before he gets to them. he rushes back to oscar like, okay yeah. maybe ask her to put in a good word. he goes so stupid around her and all he can think ab is how pretty she is, how nice the sound of her voice is, how pillowy her lips look.
or we talked about a nemesis child, max could date a child of nemesis and she’s sooo protective over him and will fuck w anyone who bothers him. someone makes an offhand remark about him and they have bad luck for a week. injures him sparring and they get hurt twice as bad by their next opponent. her and him flying together, holding hands and zipping through the clouds, her with actual wings and him just using the wind.

Solangelo had a bitter break up and all of a sudden Nico is eating a lot of apples whenever he has to be around Will. (An apple a day keeps the doctor away) (Nico tries to avoid him but it’s a small camp)
Then Nico starts dating Apollo and he stops eating them as much because he’s throwing a lot of them at Apollo (at one point in Ancient Greece throwing an apple at someone was like a marriage proposal).
Nipollo date for so many years (Nico’s 30 something now) that eventually Apollo and Hades decide to make him immortal so he can update his underworld status and also so he can marry Apollo like he’s been asking to for so many years.
And because Will is somehow still Apollos favorite child he is invited to his fathers and ex boyfriends wedding. Nico kinda didn’t want to invite him but he decided to be the bigger person and be mature about it.
Will is not as big of an asshole as he used to be at that point and he ends up getting along ok with Nico and they still had a friendly rivalry and made jokes about how they dated for five minutes when they were kids. Apollo was happy they got along.
Apollo was not happy that Nicos stepmother Persephone kept jokingly threatening to turn his husband into a flower again. Too many of his loved ones had been turned into flowers. He promised he wouldn’t let that happen with Nico.
Hades was just happy that he got to see not one but two of his children have real happy endings when in the past that had been incomprehensible. He’s so proud and happy for his kids.
Hazel was elated for him and Frank was kinda just there along for the ride with Hazel. Nico jokes about being the flower boy at Frazels wedding a couple years prior. Frank seemed slightly uncomfortable about that but laughed it off. Hazel thinks their friendship is hilarious.
Zeus showed up for 10 minutes. He said he was happy that Apollo found someone to settle down with even tho he wasn’t too happy with whom that someone is. Hades glared at him and was prepared to put a shadow forcefield over his children and their spouses just in case. But Zeus decided he didn’t care enough to fight about it just congratulated Apollo and ate a bunch of cake and wine and left.
As soon as he’s gone everybody breathes a sigh of relief and the party resumes as if he was never there and all is good in the world.
Persephone does actually turn Nico into a flower for a few moments while Apollo cries and begs her to turn him back. Everyone laughs at him for moment but decides they don’t want to be too cruel to him on his wedding day so Persephone turns Nico back into his godly form. Apollo rejoices and Nico comforts him and explains that he was in on the flower joke. Apollo feels betrayed. How dare he. His own husband. On their wedding day. How dare he. (Apollo gets revenge later that night lol).
Happily ever after.

I really wish Lore Olympus would hold any of the characters accountable for how they treated Demeter.
Zeus ate her mother alive, shoved his nymph-flings onto her, basically making her an accomplice in his frequent cheating on Hera and when she finally had enough and told him off, he burned down her home. Nothing comes of this, except for Demeter kinda calling him out once in Persephone’s trial.
Poseidon fathered a child with her, then proceeded to dump her and never once made an attempt to get in contact with his son or provide any sort of child support. Again, the most Demeter gets here is being allowed to roast his ass a bit in one scene during the trial.
Hades sabotaged her attempt to become Queen of the Mortal Realm, a title she had well earned through her contributions in the Titanomachy, by not only voting against her when everyone else approved but also bribing Zeus into changing his vote into a negative one as well. For literally no reason aside from implied greed on his part. Because the big man-baby wanted to keep his volcanoes for himself. When Demeter is rightfully pissed about this and comes to him to ask what his fucking deal is, he patronizes her and offers no explanation whatsoever, let alone an apology. Then years later he makes a move on her underage daughter and basically grooms her into becoming his girlfriend, all the while keeping it a secret from her. And when Demeter is obviously not pleased about this, she’s framed as a spiteful, overprotective tiger mom who should just lay off and leave the happy couple alone.
Hera and Hestia, her sisters, the ones who should know best how traumatized the events of the war have left her, actively avoid her. Hestia because she’s so flakey that her allegiance apparently changes with the wind and Hera because she’s so self-absorbed she can’t see how much her sister is hurting.
Hera also helps set Demeter’s, again, underaged daughter up with her former boy-toy Hades because Hades is lonely and Hera’s classist ass doesn’t like that he’s dating Minthe, a nymph (Yes, I know Minthe is abusive, doesn’t change the fact that Hera’s main problem with Minthe wasn’t the abusiveness but that Minthe is a river-nymph and not a goddess like herself). She then intentionally keeps this a secret from Demeter, helps hide Persephone’s disappearance from Demeter without a hint of guilt and when Demeter later calls her out on basically shooing her daughter into the hands of a predator, Hera, again, shows zero remorse or guilt. It’s again framed as Demeter just being clingy and overprotective with Persephone and to add insult to injury, Hera is portrayed as in the right for what she did because Persephone didn’t want the exclusive scholarship Demeter acquired for her anyway.
Oh, and let’s talk about Persephone.
Demeter, as she herself points out, literally gave Persephone paradise on Earth in the Mortal Realm. A peaceful green land were Persephone grew up with no fucking worries whatsoever and dozens of friends in the form of the flower nymphs. But because the narrative can’t leave Demeter alone, this is framed as her smothering Persephone and keeping her from developing her powers. The latter is revealed to be because of Persephone being a fertility goddess and Demeter being afraid of others fidning out because fertility goddessess tend to get eaten alive for their powers by other gods. Persephone, like the spoiled brat she is, dismisses everything Demeter does for her and all of Demeter’s trauma in favor of snuggling up to hot blue chunk of man-meat Hades. Persephone never asks about Demeter’s time as a mortal, hell, she fucking forgets about Demeter, her own mother, as soon as Kronos is dead and she gets to snuggle with rich boy Hades again.
In conclusion, this webcomic has way too much fun invalidating and shitting on Demeter and excusing it by villainizing her. Unfortunately this is something a lot of modern interpretations of the abduction of Persephone have in common. Demeter, my girl, I’m so sorry that everyone is doing you so fucking dirty in your own story, you deserved better.

Hello fellow nerd, Og stories anon here,
Poor Riddle taking the story to heart. Rook being the only one not upset over the story. But i was thinking what better way for Idia to find out about our version of mythology than through the game Hades. Finds it a work plays it and starts asking Yuu questions about mythology
Book anon! Good to see you! Yeah so I bought the game and played a bit of it because I’ve heard good reviews and also because I honestly had no idea what was in this game/how it related to irl mythology so sorry for the delay but that’s why! Also Idia would love/hate this game
The Black Parade
Characters: Idia Shroud, Yuu, Ortho (mentioned)
CW// talk about death, kidnapping(?), Mythology, spoilers for the game Hades and potentially for twisted wonderland and Hercules by extent?
Tumblr media
Idia has been playing this game intently for two hours. His face hasn’t moved a muscle in several minutes as he beats at a brimstone, only to get stabbed in the back again and respawn back in the lobby.
He groans and leans back, throwing his hands up, “I don’t get it. There’s no winning this game! It’s rigged.”
Yuu held in a laugh, being his personal life audience.
Ortho chirps from his phone, “Big Brother, search results for Hades ending indicate-“
“No!” He yelps, turning off his phone, “No, thank you, Ortho. I want to get there myself.”
Yuu stopped trying to hide their amusement, giggling wholeheartedly at Idia.
He turned and pouted comically, “Why are you laughing? A-am I doing it wrong?” Fear managed to worm its way into his expression, eyes going wide, “Wh-what is it?”
Yuu shrugged, shaking their head, “It’s just kinda funny, that’s all! And-“ they stifled down a giggle, “You’re so worried about min-maxing that you’re missing the conversations with the side characters. How else will you activate god mode?”
He stared at them, “You’re joking, right?”
“No, God mode really is a mechanic of this game.” They hummed, leaning forward, “You gotta talk to Skelly to get it, though. You’re just running around fighting the monsters.”
Idia huffed and nudged them away from his laptop, “Yeah, yeah, okay smarty pants. Well what else do you know?”
They leaned on his shoulder, earning a bright pink blush as he stiffened under their touch. He leaned away, hands shaking.
“Well, Zagreus is pretty interesting. There’s some early mentions of him as the ‘highest god’, on equal footing as Gaia herself. Then some say he’s the Orphic Dionysus, or like, the OG version of him. Then later, some suggested that he might be the son of Hades and Persephone, or possibly just another version of Hades? It’s not super clear.” They watched as Idia finally went toward Hypnos, clicking on him for text.
“Okay,” he said, eyes flicking to Yuu for a second, “And what about this guy?”
“Hypnos? He’s not mentioned a lot,” they replied, “But he is mentioned a few times. Once, his son Morpheus saved him from the clutches of Zeus after he defied him. I think it had to do with the Trojan war. That’s where the story of Achilles comes from, by the way.”
Idia stopped what he was doing, staring at them with wide eyes, “Kay, I was joking before, but you actually know all this stuff? You might as well be a walkthrough for this stuff.”
Yuu smiled at him with pride, still watching his game, “This Hades must be pretty different from your world’s Hades, huh?”
Idia shrugged, “I dunno, ‘s not like he’s around to ask. But our Hades definitely wasn’t this…” He trailed off, mumbling something to himself before finishing with, “this much of a drag.”
Yuu smiled and nodded, “He’s honestly kinda different from the myths too. And I still haven’t seen Persephone, which makes me wonder.”
“Hmm? What about Perseph-who’s it?”
Yuu went wide eyed, “Wait, you don’t know about Persephone?”
Idia shook his head, and after a moment of silence turned from the screen to look at Yuu. They were staring at him in shock, and not really the good kind either.
“What’s so important about her?”
Yuu gulped and huffed out a sigh, “Well…” they racked their brain to think about how to explain it. “Okay, just pause the game, there’s some videos we need to watch.”
After watching all of these videos, Yuu was finally satisfied.
“So your guys’ Hades is just like, a chill dude with a dog? Sounds kinda lame.”
Outside, a moment after Idia’s statement s finished, rumbled thunder. Low and dark and long, as a sudden thunderstorm overtook the building. What’s worse? It caused a power bump that ended up crashing Idia’s game.
Yuu started to giggle again, “Sorry, Hades.” They said to the open air as Idia stared.
“He isn’t dead?!” He asked incredulously, “This world’s Hades is still alive?!”
“Why wouldn’t he be?” Yuu asked innocently.
“Hercules drowned him in the Styx! Everyone knows that!” Idia cried, pacing around the room before beginning to pray to Hades in apology because oh god oh fuck.
Yuu didn’t have the heart to tell him that they couldn’t be sure if the gods were alive or not, but they simply found the immediate thunderstorm funny and we’re cracking a joke. But who knows?

What’s your opinion on the titans designs in lo
i swear to christ i was watching attack on titan when i read this question and did a double take like holy shit am i gonna get to gush about AOT????
okay but to answer the ACTUAL question, I actually have um... some interesting takes on them.
First off, for starters. Helios. Pretty neat. I know he's just yellow Zeus but he's big and he's sassy and I wish we could see more of him.
Kronos was cool until RS turned him into an MCU villain.
Gaia I'm sort of indifferent on... she really doesn't have any sort of real role in the story beyond being some Avatar McGuffin. Her original design was badass but then ofc, as all things go in LO, RS dumbed her design down and now she looks just like another Persephone clone.
Rhea was great when she first appeared but, again, Persephone clone. I don't like the recent retcon/establishment that the fertility goddesses need to experience love to have their powers used because it casts some fucked up implications (beyond the obvious) when she begged Zeus to find Metis and "use her powers no matter the cost". If I had known at the time that was gonna turn into "Zeus had a relationship with Metis" I would have been a bit more like... yikes, Rhea.
And then there's Metis... oh boy, do I have some takes about Metis. Very personal ones.
So here's the thing. Metis is the name of the Greek god, yes. But it's... it's not what comes up when you search "Metis" on its own. Because there ALSO exists an Indigenous group of people in Canada called 'Métis'. And LO Metis' design is-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
sigh yeah.
Now I know I'm gonna get people who are saying I'm "reading too much into it" but y'all. I'm Mi'kmaq. The Métis people come from the same regions my own ancestors do, my own family pretty much shares blood and land with them. I promise you, I'm not pulling any of this out of my ass, Metis' design stood out to me as soon as I saw it because her outfit really resembles the fringe that you find EVERYWHERE in Indigenous clothing, like we fucking LOVE FRINGE LOL (I've got a cape/poncho thing with loads of fringe that I whip out for special occasions) And the wings resemble a lot of the 'finger feathers' you see in Mi'kmaq, Maliseet, Cree, and yes, Métis art.
phew sorry I know Hephaestus is also drawn with a similar skin tone and Metis starts to veer off into flanderized colors with the bright orange like every other character in this comic, but it's just like... not a great combination.)
Tumblr media
(*edit because I forgot to add: it also REALLY REALLY REALLY DOESN'T HELP that Metis is the ONLY TITAN designed with non-neon colors. Like, she's been explicitly drawn with darker orange/reddish tones that are OFTEN AFFILIATED WITH INDIGENOUS PEOPLE. THE SLUR 'REDSKIN' EXISTS FOR A REASON-
phew sorry I know Hephaestus is also drawn with a similar skin tone and Metis starts to veer off into flanderized colors with the bright orange like every other character in this comic, but it's just like... not a great combination. The more human-like skin tone is sorta just the cherry on top.)
So... yeah. Take that with what you will. I'm not necessarily accusing RS of anything (because Metis being drawn like a Métis woman is like, the least of LO's problems) but at BEST she's just got some REAL shit Googling skills or like... didn't think anyone would notice? 😂
Either way that's... that's my (*probably biased) take on Metis. At the very least it does result in her having a way more interesting design than the others (who are basically just big color-swapped versions of Hades and Persephone) but IDK if that's a good thing when that design is in the hands of RS. She ruined Metis in the most recent episodes which is kinda lowkey even more insulting LMAO

Lore Olympus is an unmitigated disaster this week, so let's get to it....
Tumblr media
Oh, how we wish it was....
As we learned last time, there has been a hostile takeover of Olympus by Apollo with Ouranos's help, and Persephone seems to have gone from Goddess of Spring to Goddess of Winter. She tries to fix what she damaged, only to wear herself out in the process.
Tumblr media
Ok, now I feel really bad. All of Persephone's friends planned a party for her, but when she and Hades come in, it's not the welcome they were expecting.
On the other hand, it IS kinda nice to see that Persephone's friends and allies are willing and eager to throw her a surprise party!
Tumblr media
I appreciate that they are on the same thought process as to how this happened. I am open to the chance that it wasn't the deal with Erebos, but I honestly don't see it as likely.
Hecate isn't entirely sold that it was the Erebos deal that turned Persephone into Di*ney's Elsa, but she is willing to help Persephone ask Erebos herself on the matter.
Tumblr media
....And then this asshole has the fucking audacity to call...
Even though this [expletives not fit for sailors] has taken over, I don't think he has everything he needs to keep it. He very well might still need a fertility goddess's powers to actively STAY in power.
Just because Zeus is down, it doesn't mean he is out. Even with Ouranos backing him, Apollo doesn't have the pull or authority that he thinks he does so long as Zeus lives. Hades sure as shit isn't bringing his wife to her r*pist, nor is Persephone going to go willingly. I suspect blackmail and hostages will be involved, and it will NOT be pretty.
Or, I speculate, Persephone may be forced by other means. Is Ouranos capable of pulling her from the Underworld? In the shots of furious!Hades on the phone with [purple asshole], Persephone seems to be fading in and out where she stands beside Hades. Is it just Hades' robes due to being so pissed off? Or is Persephone being teleported slowly?
Tumblr media
As for this fucking meeting, I can only assume he plans to merc any dissenting deities at the table. He's already got 2 in his mother's dungeon, so what's a few more?
And Persephone's wrathfully red eyes have materialized once again!
Part of me is like "Yeah, girl! Mess this motherfucker up!"....
....
.....but,
...on the other hand, that might be a bad idea. It might even be what Apollo needs and is counting on to try getting a hold of her powers.
There are so many variables right now that we're not entirely sure how this is going to play out. Let's also not forget that with Achilles in existence now, the Trojan War is pretty much right around the corner. How will THAT play into all of this as well?
Anyway, thanks for coming to my LO post!

Do you mind writing about Artemis's relationship with the Olympians?
haHA!! fine. only because you asked nicely :)
ZEUS
i'm aware of interpretations where Artemis is considered to be one of Zeus' favourite children,, but personally, i don't really see this as being the case.
i think Zeus loves Artemis (and Apollo) the way he loves all of his children, and maybe he gives Artemis a little extra as tribute to Leto-- this is related to my hc that Leto breaks things off with Zeus because she knows that Hera is meant to be with Zeus, not her. so like, its compensation kinda.
one thing about Zeus is that he respects all the decisions of his children; so like, Artemis choosing to go chaste and solo is not something he ever questions about, or tries to get her to change her mind about-- he's just like, "yep ok sweetie, that's cool with me", and i think he actively tells the rest of the gods, "my daughter is off limits".
i think Zeus is probably one of the first people Artemis runs to when she's in trouble.. i guess she's a bit of a daddy's girl.
HERA
they hate each other.
Hera hates how "not like other girls" Artemis tends to come across, and Artemis hates Hera because of how she dislikes Leto and sent Python to attack them.
after Zeus brought Artemis and Apollo to Olympus as Olympians, Hera kinda isn't really able to actively pursue them, but she still glares at them a lot.
Apollo, at least, isn't actively rude to Hera, so she kinda tolerates him.. but Artemis will straight up ignore Hera or just be incredibly curt.
it's always awkward.
DEMETER
ah. you'd think that since both women choose to live outside Olympus on their own, they'd have a lot more in common.
but honestly? i don't think they do. this is probably partly because Demeter and Hera are so close.. i can't imagine that Demeter is over the moon about Artemis, or Leto for that matter.
they're not rude to each other, but i don't think they interact much.
HESTIA
a mother-type of figure to everyone. i think Hestia is just a supportive goddess on the side that everyone can kinda trust i guess.
of course, Artemis already has Leto for a mother, so yeah.
POSEIDON
they DON'T get along.
Poseidon has a baddd track record with women. i think everyone knows this. i can see Artemis keeping WELL away.
Poseidon doesn't really care about Artemis. she's just another one of Zeus' many kids... i don't think she sticks out too much to him.
HADES
again. they're civil. but not much interaction.
they actually do have a similar personality; particularly in that they can be silent and brooding and cold.
PERSEPHONE
a little hc i have is that, when Persephone comes to Olympus for the first time, and everyone's all excited that there's finally another young goddess BESIDES Artemis (Athena isn't born yet), Artemis immediately is like "you should join me and my hunters".
i think she's a little disappointed when Persephone very politely declines, but they remain very good friends.
ATHENA
like i said in the previous post, they get along well.
they have a similar personality, and i can't think of any myths where they're rivals.
APOLLO
WELL.
obviously they're tight as siblings. maybe a little too tight.
i like the idea that Apollo and Artemis keep each other in check.
Apollo knows how important it is that Artemis keeps true to her oaths of chastity and remain with her hunters.
things get complicated when Artemis meets Orion-- and Apollo is very aware of the danger he presents to the hunters.
so, i actually do like the idea that Apollo is the one who tricks Artemis into killing Orion.. or he sends the scorpion to kill Orion.. i can't decide.. but Apollo was definitely the instrument behind Orion's death.
and for the longest time, Artemis hates Apollo's guts for doing this. they don't talk, she doesn't even look in his direction.
but eventually, she comes to terms with it. she knows it was the wrong thing.
Artemis is also the one who kills Coronis when she cheats on Apollo... and i think Apollo would've been pretty distraught about that, but yeah. that's what they do.
so i think they "look out" for each other in that way-- it's always a bit dangerous when you love someone so much you'd kill for them, but i think that's the way their sibling-relationship is (do NOT read into that as romance please!!!!!!!!!!!).
HERMES
they get along nicely.
they have a pretty regular sibling relationship.. not to the extent that it is with Apollo, but you know.. they make fun of each other, they pull pranks on other people together. the usual.
ARES
many gods push Ares to the side. but i like the idea of Ares and Artemis being especially close.
she has a completely different fighting style to Ares- she's long range, he's short range. and i think this makes them a good fit.
i like the idea of Artemis and Ares going hunting together. even though Ares has a pretty lengthy list of lovers, his stories are never like Zeus' or Poseidon's or Dionysus'.. there's no trickery or deceit. and i think that makes Ares a little easier to trust.
he wouldn't hang out with Artemis' hunters, but i can see him participating in her hunt on occasion.
HEPHAESTUS
not much of a relationship. they're very cordial and polite, but most importantly- Hephaestus makes Artemis' hunting equipment.
i think there's also a version of Hephaestus' myth where Leto is one of the goddesses to help raise Hephaestus? i don't agree with that version, but in tribute to that relationship, i can see Hephaestus and Artemis getting along.
DIONYSUS
hm. i think it would be the same as with Hermes.
APHRODITE
surprisingly, i think they actually get along decently well.
i think this is because Ares and Artemis are close, so since Aphrodite is Ares' wife, they get along well.
i have a hc that when Aphrodite first came to Olympus, before she gets a grip on her domain and her role, she sees all the other young Olympians and how they can fight really well, and wants to learn to fight as well- and Artemis, at Apollo's recommendation, is the one who trains her.
so yeah, all in all, they get along well.

Girl I have like an entire storyline here lmao, I have a lot of imagination…too bad I’m not a writer lol. I’m not a native speaker so I apologize in advance if something is written in the wrong way❤️.
So that was my idea for the Poseidon X Goddess! Reader:
I imagine her as a Norse goddess ( my favorite mythology) and this is kind of a crossover with marvel, but not really (everyone’s alive, but not mentioned and they live separately living each of them their own life, so no avengers, the members singularly exist but they are living at peace, just the occasionally battle, no war, no blip, no things like that, they are in the same universe but they don’t know each other tho) I hope this was clear 😫.
I imagine her as Thor and Loki’s younger sister (she is like 1000 years old or something)I don’t know what kind of goddess she could be, I was thinking love and war maybe, I love the goddess Freyja sooo…
I imagine her as the scarlet witch but with blue colors, even blue hair maybe lol, she is different from other gods and goddesses, maybe even considered weird from some of them.
They met when she was 800 or so, because before that olympians and asgardians did not like each other for centuries, so Loki, Thor and y/n have never seen Olympia.
Once Kronos dies, Zeus and Odin decide to make an agreement, both parties could live at peace without risking any war, a friendly pact.
Then they celebrate and everyone meet at Olympia, first meeting for y/n and Poseidon.
Y/n is a beautiful goddess, her blue hair are iconic and unique and she has the power of love and war, so I would say that everyone were watching her, some were envious, others jealous, someone was even afraid maybe, they don’t really know how her powers works, she is kind of strange with her blue hair.
But of course, Poseidon was very intrigued already. They all take a seat in this very long table, and while Poseidon was watching her, for the first time that night, she was staring back at him, she could feel that he was not judging her like everyone else was doing, so she smiled.
In the meantime I imagine the situation being a little bit chaotic of course, while y/n and Poseidon were just occasionally eying each other and EVERYONE could see that. Then they also dance together and  talk a little (other gods were already feeling the sexual tension lmao😏) . From that moment, they of course are very interested in each other, and in many occasions they talk, they fight together, and one day they kiss.
He is the only one that believes in her powers and is not afraid of her strength (beyond her family and her people of course). He would definitely kneel for his woman and admit that she is more powerful than him any day.
But they can’t stay together, because yes to peace, no to relationships between olympians and asgardians (forbidden love trope 👀).
They keep their relationship hidden for a very long time (with her powers, they could keep the secret from Zeus, Hades knew but he was fine with it and never ever said anything, hades is a Poseidon and Y/n fan in this), but one day Olympia declares war to Asgard because the lightning bolt is stolen and y/n is the one being accused…but guess who was it actually ? Hermes, the motherfucker found out why y/n didn’t want him, at first he thought it was because of the rule but then he caught y/n and Poseidon in the lake and let’s say they were not swimming 👀…yes they were practicing so they could have Percy a century later lol ( I don’t know if you write smut, this scene would need al lot of spicy details)
So Hermes is the og Luke of course, the war doesn’t happen because they find the lighting bolt, everyone finds out about Poseidon and Y/n and another agreement is made, after a 100 or so peace, olympians and asgardians will never ever again have another interaction…
This was part 1, in the other Percy will be in it. I really hope you like it🦋🩵💙!
WAIT WHY DO I KINDA SORTA RLLY LOVE THIS???? OK OK IM MAKING THE MASTERLIST RN SO GIMME A MIN AND ILL PUT IT ON THERE!!!

hi, I have a question 'cause I saw it in your tags about the "Persephone lied" post you reblogged.
You mentioned how the tale symbolizes arranged marriages and the separation mother/daughter had to go through.
The more I thought about it the more it makes sense 'cause I’ve heard this is how mothers reacted to marriage in the Ancient World,' cause they would lose their own daughters, with little hope of seeing them again, so that death and marraige seem like almost the same thing from the mother’s perspective. (not to mention Zeus agreed to let Hades to his thing and only "warned" him about Demeter’s reaction. <-I think that can be interpretated as two men agreeing on a marriage without the consent of the mother or the daughter).
On the other hand, I used to think the myth was only relevant to the lives of the worshippers due to Demeter’s grief; it explained the seasons, and it also explained the need for agriculture, which Demeter then taught to mortals to help them survive her periods of sorrow.
Then again I’ve seen ppl theorizing Persephone’s disappearance to be a metaphor for death, (Y'know, how it snatches people away suddenly and leaves grief in its wake) but I think that's a stretch.
Anyways, is there an actual answer or is the myth up to the interpretation when it comes to what it symbolizes/stands for?
thank you in advance! 💕
Hello! Just a small disclaimer: When dealing with a foreign religious tale it doesn't make sense to project our own experiences there since the locals have certain things in place to symbolise specific meanings, and express a certain message. So really, what one "thinks" of the myth is irrelevant. I mean, sure we can all think stuff, don't get me wrong! But I mean, we cannot just base our thoughts on vibes. We should look at the history and tradition of that country first. I'm happy to see people reading examinations of myths more carefully 😄
For example, arranged marriages in Greece were a regular phenomenon 3-4 generations back, and even today that they are not, we still have mournful songs for when her mother grieves losing her daughter in marriage. Our two most famous traditional songs speak of that. One is so bleak that it's downright depressing for a marriage ("Σήμερα μαύρος ουρανός, σήμερα μαύρη μέρα"). @wordsmithic has an extensive video series about the relationship of marriage and death in Greek folklore through the ages. I suggest this for starters (But better see the whole series if you can! It's short!):
Greeks see the tale of Persephone as an explanation for why winter exists, and we also recognise the parallels between Demeter and Persephone's situation with what our mothers and daughters have been going through for thousands of years. The abduction of Persephone is also part of a long-lasting motif of the Greek "Death and the Maiden" stories, so it wouldn't be a stretch to consider it in the broader imagery of "a Death force taking a young woman".
The abduction of Persephone wasn't a story that people related to death and death rituals, so it's probably not a metaphor in the sense you mean, but the story kinda connects death and marriage, again, by being a part of a bigger cultural viewpoint. In Greek tradition since antiquity, young unmarried people (usually teens, not kids) are buried with their (woud be) wedding clothes and sometimes their graves had/have wedding symbols and offerings. Today this is done to give "happiness" to the dead and simulate the marriage rite they never got to have. Also some consider these dead "marry Christ". Before Christianity there was also a motif the dead young women marrying Death (?) but I can't find the info now. I distinctly remember reading many posts about it with sources but I am very sorry I can't procure them now. As soon as I find it, I'll add it here! But you can consider Antigone, how she describes her tomb as a wedding bed, for starters.
Another video of @wordsmithic talks about that motif! (I watched all the videos as you can tell and although I knew most of the stuff, wordsmithic made very good connections there!)
Hopefully, now my initial disclaimer makes sense. There are telling signs of what each myth means, and we take the signs from the culture these myths came from. It's very cool when you can observe the culture's evolution and see hints of that in the present to make more connections.

Hey!
I've seen a few another asks about MC and honestly, it's so interesting to see others characters. I guess that's one of the reasons why I love Obey, you can create OC, who's can be anyone, well maybe except a God?? I just don't know how that would be work lol
I have two angels, Gabriel and Agrael. Gabriel, Lucy and Michael I hc as triplet. Agrael his younger sister, who was the one who killed Lilith, and well, Gabe do everything he can to keep it as secret. He's loves Lucifer and Michael with Agrael more than others brothers, and was against the war, but at the end decided to let Lucy go, bc he doesn't have a choice, but trying to be neutral as much as he can. Agrael was just obedient soldier and wasn't bothered by brothers rebellion and just fight. Asmo fell in love with her, but she's didn't love him and attacked without resist, which hurt him a lot lol
Her only friend was Mammon, but it's didn't stop her from fight. But also she's didn't saw brothers as enemy. Has a human lover, but nobody knows who is it. She's usually disappears in human world, and Gabe cover for her, bc he's soft for his sister too much lol
Also there's two sorcerers. Crowley, who's father of my MC, famous merchant of the three worlds, who can find anything you want, except knowledge that he has a daughter lol
He's funny guy and tried very hard to reconnect with his daughter, but Anders prefer to punch him and not talking. He's not old as Sol, but still old and keep himself from aging with magic artefacts. He's probably slept with Asmo and I always laughed when thinking about it
And Alastair, who's wanted to be Solomon's apprentice, but well, Anders was the chosen one. He's taking that as insult, bc he's more knowledgeable and powerful, and now hate Anders and wished to kill her, and tried a few times lol
Do you have another characters? I would like to read about them too!
Hello again!
Yes, I really love to hear about everybody's MCs and OCs!! They're so interesting, it's so fun to see what people have come up with! Especially since I feel like there is so much space for such things in Obey Me. They really left a lot of stuff unexplained and there are three whole worlds that we can fill in with our own characters!
Okay, I kinda feel like the only way you could have a character who was a god would be if it was like somehow a rival to the "Father" character from the Celestial Realm. I kinda think it'd be interesting if the Greek gods existed, for instance. Since we have Cerberus, it kinda stands to reason that we'd also have Hades and Zeus and the rest. But you know, maybe they're retired? LOL.
Anyway...
Now that is an interesting concept! I never once thought about who killed Lilith. What a burden to bear! I love Agrael already she sounds amazing! I love that she's now the one with a human lover, even after the war and everything that happened with Lilith! Man love can make you do crazy things! And Gabriel is just trying to be a good big brother!
Crowley and Alastair omg I love them. Crowley sounds great, but I do feel bad for Anders lol. Let her punch him! It would probably be very therapeutic! Alastair is crazy if he thinks Solomon would ever let anyone kill his apprentice, but I'm impressed that he still tried. I get the impression that Anders would be difficult to kill, but he's still gonna try it seems!
Ah well I do have my demon OC Arsenios. And I have some other OCs that show up in his story, but I can't talk about them too much without giving away spoilers for his story. There are a couple of angels and a reaper.
I have a couple more human characters that are related to Ciaran and their story. There's their older sister Fiadh who I am quite fond of. She gets help from both a witch and a sorcerer when Ciaran goes missing and they help her get to the Devildom to find Ciaran.
I do have another demon OC, but I've never talked about her... Her name is Liviana and she's the librarian at RAD. She knows Arrie, but I just created her because I wanted to lol. I really love libraries and I was thinking about demon professors/RAD staff members and I just sorta daydreamed her into existence.
I do have one other reaper OC but she doesn't have a name yet. And she's too involved with one of the other characters from Arrie's story for me to talk about her too much...
OOPS now I have revealed my secret which is that I have a whole STASH of OCs that I never talk about lol.
Anyway, I love hearing about all your characters! Thank you for sharing them with me! 💕
