i am a fan of initially one-sided love stories not to excuse or encourage some idea of entitlement to another or on the other hand something akin to self-debasement, but because there is some tenderness in recognition. here is this one person who has taken the time to understand you without recompense without reprieve and all your life you go on thinking no one can hear you but they can hear you. they understand. they know. it may take you years to realize it but they have been here the whole time waiting for you to hear and understand and know yourself. waiting for you to be as kind to yourself as they hope they are to you. wading through the wreckage and saving of it what they can bc every piece is precious and worth holding onto. a curator's love. there's something weighty about it

Do you want to hear a funny story?

So you know that I was drawing spiderverse comics lately. Because they are fun to do. And I think people like them. I mean the most popular one has like 4K notes? That's lot for me when I usually dwell in tiny fandoms made out of like 3 people and their dog. So it's nice, everybody is having fun and I'm grateful.

but

BUT

I just found out that somebody took few of that comics. Cut them up and run the text through ai reading voice and posted it as reels on fucking youtube.

And it's not even that I'm stumped why even turn 4 pictures into video. First time I see such a time wasting thing but ok. People do like different things.

And even lke some effort was done to erase text from speech bubbles so it appears as the ai spews it aloud but it's not even about it

I had pictures taken and posted somewhere else. Usually without credit. At least this time it was credited? I guess I should be grateful.

What fucking gets me is that those comics have several hundred thousand views and few hundred comments each.

Short Update!

I'd like to thank everyone for the support!

I haven't posted in a bit because I was planning a snippet from The Gypsum Maw after recieving some asks about it, but it's accidentally ballooned beyond 30 pages! I have a sort of reverse artist's block going on where I have too many ideas all at once. I even have people in my inbox managing to anticpiate story beats I have on the backburner.

I'm going to try and pace myself so I don't burn myself out, I am pretty excited about what I have coming up and it would be a shame for me to lose interest. Thanks for your patience!

There was a time people complained how solely the pop-rock genre was monopolizing the charts. Nowadays, it's (1) f*cking artist who monopolizes charts and awards alike, and no one bats an eye. I wanna go to a time again, in which multiple sounds, voices, themes, ARTISTS were appreciated. No matter how good you think she is, she alone cannot cover everyone's likes. Besides, there should be more space for artists/creators out there who also pour their souls into music. She isn't the only living artist on this planet.
