My two-weeks-old child has decided cluster feeding at night is the way to go. The chaped nipples, the sleep deprivation, the raging postpartum hormone storm - it's been immensely frustrating, to say the least.

Every wake-up, I genuinely consider handing my child to my obliviously sleeping spouse with a bottle of formula and calling it a night, but then- oh, and then - my Tiny Terror grabs hold of one of my fingers with all of his and looks up at me with cartoon-worthy doe eyes and then, there's literally nothing I wouldn't do for this tiny person.

Why, WHY, why do kittens think it's a good idea to start play time when they begin to hear the birds chirping before dawn?

Ok, I know biologically why, but they've been domesticated. And sadly that trait has stuck around.

Oh and kitten nails. They may be tiny, but they can do some damage. I'm gaining quite the collection.

This isn't my 1st time with kittens, however I've never adopted 2 kittens at once! "It'll be sweet" my spouse said. Guess whose able to sleep through the play time? My spouse. Guess who sleeps on the inside of the bed and isn't used as a piece of gymnastics equipment by kittens? My spouse.

We got them at 12 weeks, it's been 10 days. I DO love them, don't get it twisted. Sometimes ya just gotta vent about the not so cute parts. However, I will leave you with an adorable picture of the brothers. The darker one is named Odin Augustus and the lighter one is name Artemis Albus (Ari).
