same person who said teehee(batfam related again xx)
so anyway!!!
you also mentioned that Selina likes y/n, and I seriously need a small drabble w their interactions! I bet that's why y/n likes cats so much! cause she was hanging out with Selina or with Selina in almost all her patrols hihihi
I hope you enjoy this anon. I just made them into HC, I hope you don't mind. Though if you aren't satisfied with it feel free to send another ask. 😊
Selina meets y/n when she takes the role of Batgirl. It's an average night for Gotham. Stealing jewels and whatever catches Selina's eyes. Then there's a little squabble with Batman.
She puts down her bag of stolen goods to fight. She is so focused on fighting with Batman that she almost doesn't notice the figure taking her bag and starts trifling though it. They take whatever they're looking for and place it back to where it belongs.
Batman and Selina are fighting while Batgirl! y/n is trying to put everything back to the way it was.
Oh, no there's some broken glass! Batgirl! y/n goes to the janitor's closet to grab a broom and sweeps up the glass. She might have pulled out the mop if she didn't notice an opening for her to strike.
The kick to the back didn't hurt Selina in the slightest, it just caught her off guard. Though Batgirl! y/n acts like she just stabbed Selina.
Blabbering about how she's sorry and hoped that it didn't hurt too much. But Selina fondly remembers how Batgirl! y/n admitted that she thought her cat ears looked cute.
After that they'll have little interactions every so often.
Maybe if they have a fight or something Selina will say, "You don't want to get hurt do you, Kitty?" Then young Batgirl! y/n smiles. Slightly puffs out her chest, "I'm no Kitty. I'm a Chickadee, that's what my Mama called me." Selina then just calls her Chickadee after that.
Young y/n finds out about Selina's real identity when at a Gala. She's probably goofing off with Tim or just sitting alone bored when she hears a familiar voice call her Chickadee.
She thinks it's a big secret knowing who Catwoman really is. Doesn't tell Bruce or even Tim even though they knew long before her. Thinks she hot shit with this information and believes she's just best friends with Selina than the other two. No, y/n you aren't supposed to befriend the criminals!
Honestly a few villains might hear about the little nickname y/n was giving and mock her. "What are you going to do about it, Chickadee?" She always pouts a little before saying, "You aren't allowed to call me that!"
If there was a big fight going on, Batgirl! y/n was severely injured Selina would jump in. Depending on how bad the injury is she'll either defend y/n from anymore harm or just kidnap her.
y/n wakes up in a cozy bed with some cats laying around her. She's convinced she's found haven. Spends the rest of the night with Selina as she introduces y/n to all her cats.
They just have a little soft spot for each.
y/n wants hugs. She's a touch starved goblin, but she's too scared to ask. Though if she just asked Selina, she'd gladly give her as many as she wanted.
At the start y/n isn't given too much "freedom" during patrols. She's still young, inexperienced, and not to mention she can be a bit innocent. Though when she has a few years under her belt, I could see Bruce begrudgingly letting her patrol on her own.
This isn't where the family neglect starts, so Bruce is pretty connected to her. Not to mention that Jason was probably still in the back of his mind.
I couldn't really see y/n being one to skip patrol duty. Too much of a goody-two-shoes to really do that. Though I could see Selina coming by to play around and distract her from her duty.
Selina could be doing this from boredom or wanting to see the girl relax. A kid shouldn't be so serious. They should be growing up and being care free. She'd also like for y/n to grow up and not become so brooding like her father. Though thankfully y/n is willing to entertain Selina from time to time.
If things are calm, they might sit in alleyways to pet stray cats while chatting. Their conversations are nothing serious and quiet mindless honesty, but it's nice.
They can both just take a breath and bask in the cuteness of the alley cats.

My Spider-Man & Batman Fanfic (WIP) #4:
Omg I just realized that since Aunt May is literally a nurse she could be the first link to the Batfam.
So I've been having trouble deciding on how the Parkers and Batfam would first meet. Like...how they would meet, why, where etc. What reasons would the Batfam would want to know more about them. I finally figured some of it out.
The first reason I feel like it would be mentions of Dick walking around the city. Then they would meet Richard Parker and just assume he's a doppelganger. (When two people who are unrelated look exactly alike.)
Then like 2 weeks later, there'll be evidence of 2 people breaking into Wayne Enterprises or something similar. 2 weeks after that they're seen again and they're inconsistently breaking into rich people's companies etc.
Now 2 months after the Parkers arrive in Gotham, one of the Batfam is incredibly hurt and can't communicate with the rest of the Batfam. They're hurt and are in need of medical assistance. That's where May comes in! And guess what she conveniently has a whole med room ready and prepared to help them. She helps them and while they're passed out or something and when they wake up, they're a little confused but they like May. (I don't know who gets hurt, either Tim, or Jason. I'm leaning towards Jason since May's gonna be in crime alley and all that but I also would not mind Tim.)
Now why does may have a whole med bay set up? And how? Well like a month after they arrived in Gotham, they all managed to find each other. Peter is discovered last and they all obviously know that he's Spider-Man. (they have some memory of Peter's life. Not a lot but they all know that he's Spider-Man. Should I keep it that way or change it?)
Peter wants to go back to being Spider-Man and they need to stock up on Items. Mary and Richard are in charge of gathering supplies (stealing) and Peter isn't allowed to join since it could jeopardize his identity before it's even revealed. They know that the Batfam is onto Richard and May.
Now whether or not Peter joins later on or does his own runs, idk. But that's for future me to decide on.
So because the supply runs May gets her own medical equipment, and decides that she's going to help the people of Crime Alley get the medical attention they deserve. Also she wants to bring back F.E.A.S.T.
So may is gonna be a Charity worker/organizer/founder of F.E.A.S.T. by day and the nurse of the fucking underworld by night! Ok I'm kinda exaggerating but what I mean is that she will be an illegal nurse during the night ( idk who will be on stand-by during the end of Peter's patrol, but I was thinking that the rest of the family would, maybe Ben.) She would help anyone in need, that includes the VILLAINS!! This would be interesting since she died in an explosion that was caused by one of the people she tried to help (green goblin). I feel like she'd have a bit of trouble with the villains. She'd help them but she'd be really scared while doing so and maybe a little angry. She died and I want to explore that part of her character. Peter would definitely object to her becoming like an illegal Nurse but gives in to her because he loves her very much and wants to support her. He's just constantly worried about her.
Anyways I was also wondering if there are any canonical "illegal nurses" that are in Gotham. I've read fics where there is a nurse that Jason, or the rest of the Batfam go to when things get rough on patrol and the nurse/doctor is a civilian. Maybe they can be friends with May!!
Anyways this will obviously get May investigated. And boom! She has documents and stuff! Now I feel like the Batfam won't realize that the info is fake for awhile. Since Peter's parents are literal spies and they're pretty damn good at making a whole new identity without getting caught (my head cannon) and Peter's intelligence is crazy. He's also like 20 here he's definitely smarter now than when he was a teenager. And he had Ned and Tony teaching him how to hack. Now I feel like Barbara is the better hacker but I need the plot to slow down sooo....
I need to think more on this later. Anyways yea! This is like a part of May's Story that I would want to write!
Hope you enjoyed it! If y'all have any questions you can ask me about it! Maybe even give me some ideas if ya want! This is all just a WIP and I honestly I am not gonna start this fic for a while...but Everytime I post the story gets more and more coherent. Lol.

Fellow Travelers Rewatch Party | episode 2
Content warning: NSFW, strong language (maybe)
Let’s continue the weekly review / reaction session while watching episode 2 tonight!
First time seeing the title sequence and the composition of different LGBTQ+ and historical photographies as well as original sequences from the show - Hawk hanging Tim’s cross chain over the bedpost - merged in is spectacular. The intro has been composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan and he explains the build-up and musical structure as follows:
„The idea was to have this loop which kept on evolving and descending keys,as Hawk’s life descended into inner turmoil.Tim’s cello sound playing the pizz at the start and the end - I wanted to represent that Tim was the grounding force, keeping the steadiness in the relationship while Hawk’s life descended into chaos. Each character adding a layer to the arpeggios on the top - first the violin, then the piano, then the wind. Sticking to our rule of never resolving. It gets increasingly frenetic until the final reprise played on the cello. Also, it’s written in. Again, so we never settle, just like @MattBomer (Hawk) and Jonathan Bailey’s (Tim) complicated relationship in the show.“ (source: Paul Leonard-Morgan via X / twitter)
It’s incredibly beautiful, well-crafted and the meaning behind feels very palpable in the music, especially with the given explanation! You should check out the Fellow Traveler’s OST:
youtube
We’re in the 80s timeline with Maggie and Hawk meeting in the café!
I still wonder how that came about… Did Tim just tell Maggie to call Hawk? Did they have a discussion about that with Tim pondering whether or not he should go and meet Hawk and Maggie, the protective sister she is, intervening and shushing her brother off in a ‚no way, I’m gonna call and meet this douche who breaks your heart every decade‘ manner?!
Maggie: Although he swears no one else even came close. - Ouch. Tim never found happiness with someone else. That’s truly devastating. However, I’m actually curious to hear a conversation between Maggie and him on that. What did Tim tell her about Hawk and their past relationship? How did he justify his feelings for the man? I crave for more scenes focussing on Tim and his family.
Hawk is part of the Smith family. Leonard is rightfully salty at Hawk, seeing right through his scheme of settling himself a place in his family whilst masterfully playing a false game, while his standing with his own father is standing on wobbly feet.
Tim: Had I know there’d be pictures I would have worn my best tie. - Dawww.
I love seeing Tim and Mary socialising with the key political society and shielding each other. The supportive friendship between them is absolutely precious.
Roy Cohn looking Tim up and down suspiciously and then presenting his mom as his date, what a goblin. At first I thought he’d eye Tim up as a potential ‚interest‘ of McCarthy, but maybe he’s just extra cautious recognizing him from the State Department Bureau and the fact that he always seems to linger around when important meetings are held.
That change of scene from Mary/Tim sweetness to Tim full on blowing Hawk in a doorframe is just  so filthy, sinful and juicy - it nearly threw me off the couch the first time I’ve watched it, such an unexpected switch. Also, damn Tim, clutching the peachy cheeks! (I get it, I get it) Also, it’s Jonathan’s / Tim’s muffled moans while he’s at it, enjoying it just as much as Hawk and edging him on, that makes me feel like a sinner.
Tim figuring out that Mary is a lesbian and Hawk plans to encourage them to see each other, caring about both of them, their safety, because they aren’t bulletproof like he is. It’s his way of protecting the (vulnerable) people he cares for.
Hawk talking about his dreams of buying a villa for himself, living a life where no one is judging. He doesn’t explicitly mention Tim but it makes me think of the villa he buys on Fire Island, which comes as close to his dream as it gets, just under more tragic and depressing circumstances. Tim seems satisfied with every little glimpse he is allowed to have into Hawk’s perfectly guarded ‚inner world‘ and emotions. He doesn’t press further and ask what his own place in this dream of Hawk’s would be.
Them falling asleep together and Hawk waking up to the sight of Tim sleeping peacefully next to him, the sun and lightning in this scene - so beautiful and warming and at peace! That's how every morning for them should be.
Oh no, the neighbour seeing them together. Hawk, you can’t fool him. He’s got his own newspapers in his hand and these were definitely not handed over by a dorky looking man in glasses and a suit.
Marcus introducing us to Langston Hughes and a world where he struggles between racism and homophobia. He’s an outsider in the black community for being gay, which is why he can only handle and focus on one cause… This is far worse than living a fake life in a ‚white people‘ world.
Momma Fuller: Don’t tell me you’ve gotten some poor girl in trouble. Didn’t think so. - Oh, Momma Fuller knows everything. What a lady, ahead of her time. Like, she’s a Gilded Age woman and is more tolerant and accepting than most of society at the time, very fierce, knows what she wants and willing to marry for a wealthy entourage. She also reminds me of Lucy, because I think she indicated as well that she’d marry a man if he’s wealthy and even if he’s ugly (because then she wouldn’t have to try too hard to hold onto him).
Momma Fuller: And he’s had a change of heart.
Hawk: Doesn’t seem likely in the absence of one. - Hawk can cut super sharp, especially when standing up to homophobes and his father. Love it.
Mary’s party is honestly my favorite scene of this episode! The pure joy, the music, the playfulness during the charade game, seeing Tim happy / smiling and dancing with Luis. Mary insisting that Tim shouldn’t mention her relationship with Caroline to Hawk… well, she knows very well that Hawk wouldn’t approve at all, that he’d consider it dangerous, not only for them but also a threat for him. AND Mary might be worried for her job as well, she's his employee after all.
Hawk preferring to stand up for his past actions, talking down to his father’s homophobic bullshit and thus refusing to gain the heritage. Wow. Delicious, superb cinema. Wonderful. Perfect. Love to see it!
Hawk (to Tim): I’m home now. - Remember the echo in episode 8 and hold back your tears till then.
Hawk is the big spoon! Awww. Again, such a beautifully staged scene.
Hawk dictating the love letter, formally addressed to Mary with words actually aimed at Tim - my heart.
Again, Hawk’s attempt to protect both of them, Mary and Tim, with ethically questionable but effective means. Mary does as Hawk predicts - they know each other very well. Also, can we please recognize that Mary and Marcus as well are just as willing to throw people under the bus as Hawk is?
Back in the 80s timeline!
80’s Hawk refusing to go and have fun with the young guy in the gay bar, instead warns him to be more cautious.
When Hawk enters Tim’s apartment and Tim notices who it is… then just traces his lips with his fingers, reminiscent. Also, I just love that Hawk still calls him ‚Skippy‘ (affectionately) and Tim doesn’t protest, although he would have every right to claim that he doesn’t call him by this pet name, a name that arose from their first sexual encounter. But he doesn’t. Because he still loves his Hawk.
Sen. Smith: But someone asks me the other day why one of the most eligible bachelors in town hasn’t married yet and I couldn’t think of an answer. - Here’s the pressure for Hawk to start courting Lucy, to protect is mentor and not be his Achille’s heel.
Hawk (to Lucy): You’ll make a wonderful mother. You’ll teach them to have principles.
Lucy: You always found my principles annoying, silly even.
Hawk: Come on, you know I’m too smart for my own good.
Their whole conversation, looking ahead. Ouch.
The whole Marcus and Frankie scene is so effin’ sweet. The way they talk about their poetry and Frankie opening up on his first drag experience and what that entailed… Such natural chemistry between them. The poem Marcus recites is flows so well with the scenes!
Seeing 80s Tim all overjoyed and happy and smiling when they sit down together for Chinese Takeaway food is such a treasure (His ‚thank you thank you thank you!‘ is so sweet)! I’m pretty sure a great part of his delight must derive from the fact that Hawk is there with him, spending this evening with them, eating together. They NEVER had that, not even in the 70s, Tim and Hawk eating with a family member of either of them.
That’s it for episode 2!

Red Hood, other Anti-Heroes/Villians and the issue with killing in comics.
First here's the thing before you read this, I just wanna say this isn't a post complaining about if killing is good or not, far from it so don't worry.
Tumblr media
I also wanna say really like Jason Todd. One of my favorite Robins though I like him more as Red Hood. My only issue with him is that DC is stuck with his direction as a character(Not as much as Tim at least). For a lot of reasons
One of those things is that anti-Heroes don't work in main superhero universes at least in DC, in Marvel killing isn't looked down on much unless you do it like the Punisher(Consistently, no exceptions and extreme)
When I'm talking about Anti-Heroes I mean who don't hesitate to kill, because the definition of Anti-Heroes even include guys like Batman, Spider-Man, Iron man and Daredevil (Classical Anti-Heroes,Disney Anti Hero,) talking about the types like Huntress and Red Hood(Unscrupulous Hero) and Punisher (Nominal Hero).
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Analysis/AntiHero if you wanna know what I'm talking about.
Tumblr media
An issue they have is that they kill criminals consistently, and those criminals include supervillains but in comic books, villians in comics are kinda a commodity. Villians are what makes the heroes. So DC obviously will never let Jason kill the Joker or Riddler or Poison Ivy or Bane, or let Frank Castle kill Green Goblin or Kingpin. That's getting rid of a commodity that writers need for stories.
It's why I laugh when people say why doesn't Batman kill the Joker or something, they won't let him guys. Joker is too popular to kill same with the rest of his rouges, the writers need the villians to continue writing more stories and if time has taught us anything is that new villians don't even catch on most of the time to replenish the old popular ones.
So Frank and Jason and left to keep offing mooks, looking stupid and incompetent for not taking out the actual threats or just offing D-listers, it then brings up the question of why doesn't JASON kill the Joker since he's always talking about how willing to kill he is. yeah sure they'll write Batman like the biggest dick to fight him not too but there has been times when nothing has been stopping Jason to do it, see what I mean?
There's also another thing that DC and Marvel just won't let chracters less popular than the big no kill rule big heroes be more effective (and this is coming from a guy whofor the most part is anti killing). You really think Marvel is gonna let Red Hood have the moral high ground with Batman or Punisher with Spider-Man or Captain America?
But yeah I don't wanna get into the whole 'should heroes kill debate' here just making a point.
This is why they honestly work in outside comic universes like the games or movies. See the 'Superhero Movie Villains Die' trope
Tumblr media
Basically they just don't mesh well with the status quo nature of comics.
So now we have heroes/villians(yes I consider frank a borderline villian) who are known for killing but can't kill anyone significant for multiple reasons, like how Red Hood by the New 52 had like 83 kills but no one in there was anyone actually important.
This is why Punishers best run was in an entire different universe where heroes didn't exist so he could kill Kingpin without issues. With Punisher they can always stick with that or just do what they usually do and make him take out mooks and barely developed rouges. They recently made him the head of the hand and gave him superpowers, it's actually interesting in my opinion.
With Jason it's more complicated. There's two sides, he drops guns and killing and joins up with the bat family as a kind of character development or he unrepentantly leaves the bat family behind and starts killing people and using guns then runs into all the issues I mentioned above. The latter side believes that hum dropping killing and guns removes everything that makes him interesting while the former believes it's good character progression for him to drop it. I think both have good points.
Personally I think they should lean into the supernatural side of him, like go all in and make him the dude in the Batfamily that handles supernatural threats, his the only one in the family that has straight up superpowers (Edit: forgot Duke, forgive me but he got them before him so point stands I guess) with his All blades so take those and have him to team up with Zatanna or Constantine, fighting vampires and zombies. (Happy to see they are doing this with Cass kinda I haven't read Spirit World)
Or they lean into the Task Force Z/Outlaws/DCeased aspect of him leading other Mistfits, Anti-Heroes and Villians into becoming better people like with the thunderbolts from Marvel. Maybe hook him up with some kinda of government connection so people he kills aren't illegal during this redemption quests or something.
Well I've got nothing else to ramble about.

I’m glad you mentioned about Sean viewing Randgrid differently after his bad ending because I have definitely thought about how he’d be around his fellow Merry Men after his bad ending. Bad ending Sean would be very hateful towards anyone who doesn’t agree with him or anyone who even ever had a past of selfishness and greediness. He’d take low shots at people’s background “Zarek wasn’t your mother so consumed by greed they turned you into one of those statue actors on the street?” Stuff like that. Him hating Randgrid because she is the spawn of a dragon would also show how far he’s fallen because I always imagined him believing that there are no naturally evil races. “All goblins are evil? Nonsense those guys just suck.” He’d turn on the companions too even if they had their good ending, Astarion and Gale for being power hungry, Wyll just for having a noble background, hell maybe even Karlach for fighting for a devil and working with Gortash even if it was against her will. If Sol was a companion he’d probably turn on her for her dragon heritage.
But enough about that the last Merry Men kid is Alfred Nikolas a goblin Artificer nicknamed Fun-Sized Fred. He is based on Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol. He was taken in by Lord Marion (genderbent Lady Marian) as more of a protégée than an adopted child given his parents are still alive and still on good terms unlike the rest of the kids. He became a well-known artificer using the money of his version of Scrooge after he gave all his money to Fred’s family when he passed. Fred uses modified crutches to get around but they double as his weapons. Really wish they had Goblins as a race in bg3 so I could make him in it. I’ll just have to make him in Hero Forge at some point.
Okay, wait, I'm obsessed with the potential for Sean and Sol interactions. Let's play barbies with our OCs for a hot second.
Let's say by some miracle the two of them end up kinda friends in act 3. Maybe a series of failed bullying attempts from Sol that just strengthened their bond instead.
Now bad endings! Sean gets hyper-vigilant and vindictive with his judgment. Everyone is put under the microscope and all their hearts are weighted on a scale against a feather just so they wouldn't end up on his list of enemies.
What if, Sol gets their bad ending too. But since Sean bothered to befriend them, they think "oh. Maybe he belongs to my hoard."
It's basically about 2-5 years of life before they die. Might as well make the most out of it yk? So eventually after amassing all the gold and gems they want, they think it's time to round up the people they care about.
Romanced Tav tied up in gold chains in their chambers? Check.
That one druid who was nice to them and restored their flower? Check.
That dog who didn't bite them too hard when they tried to pet it after he smelled dragon on them? Check.
Now, time to get the friends.
Ascended Astarion and God Gale would be too hard for Sol to manage with their short lifespan so they'd skip them. Sharran Shadowheart would hide too well for them to find and Lae'zel is on another plane of existence serving Vlaakith.
Halsin is there, free to grab. They pass by his village and don't look back. He can stay, he's not on the list.
Minthara IS on the list however. Although they have no idea where she is in the underdark or how to get to her. Did she get killed? They'll pay some drows to search for news about her and wait.
Now Sean, he would be fun because Sol is on the list of his enemies. He would seek them out himself. Afterall it is his fault for being kind to them to the past, now they see him as a part of their hoard.
And oh they'd be so delighted, he spared them the trouble of hunting him down, how kind of him, now off to the cage.
But he just keeps escaping, it's driving them crazy how time after time he comes trying to steal from them or kill them, and they throw him in a pure gold cell and the next day he's gone.
Do they have to pin him down with magic? Curse him with a tracker? How does he keep managing it? They follow him in their dragon form and take back their gold, pick him up with their claws and return him to the hoard.
It's a constant cycle of playing tag, except it is murder and steal tag.
-
If it's their good ending they'd just be confused, there is as much dragon in them as there are wings in a fish, even their scales fell of buddy. They're fully human.
If he brings up their past, it would anger them. After all, they sacrificed? After all the effort they've put in to change? Now he brings it up? Sol would call him a hypocrite for befriending their awful self before and coming to hold them accountable now.
I doubt it would work or convince him but honestly words is all Sol has at that point. They're a low level human fighter who lost all their powerful magic, not even a family left to hide behind. They're weak and defenceless and an experienced rogue could easily take them down.
So they'd keep attempting to use their high charisma to convince him or at least distract him from their trail. They might be able to overpower him with strength, but he'd be too tricky and slippery.
Him coming after them even after their half-frienship would hurt them but they'd never show it. It wouldn't anger them.
But him going after his own family? That'd infuriate them so much because he definitely talked the whole camp's ears off before about his family and moms and how much he loves them. They'd take more offence to that than him betraying them
At least Sol knows themselves, they were shitty and deserved it, but his family weren't shitty to him. Especially if he brings up Sol's greedy family after condemning his own. They'll dig at him for being just as rotten and greedy as the rest of them.
But also, that is all hypothetical bc I'm not even sure if Sol would bother kidnapping anyone but romanced Tav, yk? Like platonic Tav wouldn't interest them and they'll just increase their security against Sean instead of putting him in their hoard.
Man Jaheira has her work cut out for her, first Ascended Astarion neighbour, then vigilante Sean lurking the streets and now a dragon-human mutant flying over the city and stealing everything.
Not mentioning corrupted Arch-Duke Wyll and the Shar cult just below the city with Justicier Shadowheart.
-
Anyway goblin guy let's goo!! When I read fun-sized-Fred, I thought of scooby doo Fred ngl. And omfg modfied crutches that actually shoot bullets? It's like that one meme with "call the hospital call the hospital...but not for me" and Fred lifts his crutches and starts firing and it's glorious.
The only one on good terms with his parents, if he is adopted I wonder if he ever thinks about his bio parents. Sol would probably encourage him to, because they feel a special connection to their kin, be it another draconic being or their actual family and would think that Alfred needs to experience it too.

TIL Gretl's (from Iron Man #182) kid, Tim Anders, goes to school with Normie Osborn, saved him from bullies & is on a Stark scholarship. 🥹

(Red Goblin #2)
I've always wondered why no one even mentioned the kid who kind of helped Tony Stark realise his life was worth saving when he had lost all hope but I think Alex Paknadel was the right person to have brought him back to the Marvel Universe & this made me so happy.
I especially love that Tim seems to be someone who wants to protect people, even ones he barely knows. And I love that Tony sort of took care of him this whole time and that Tim is probably unaware of their shared near-death experience.
I love it when comic book writers are passionate about the same stories that we, as readers, are passionate about - it's nice to see the upside of comic book fans growing up to become comic book writers since a lot of times, we only see the downside of it, unfortunately.

(Iron Man #182)
Anyway, everyone read Dennis O'Neil's Iron Man run & Red Goblin by Alex Paknadel :)

Have we ever had any explicit clarification of the source of income for characters other than Martin and Georgie? As far as I can tell Jon has the most economic power out of the main recurring cast but Tim was once mentioned if I remember right playing certain types of sports that require a certain amount of money so he's most likely fine too. Melanie had a roommate until she went full goblin mode and Basira mentioned in some of her statements that her house wasn't "fancy" and that's all I can remember so far.
So as far as Tim is concerned, Jon remarks at some point during one of his supplementals in season two (don’t remember which off the top of my head) that after getting his anthropology degree, he spent a bit of time successfully climbing the latter at a publisher before he did his 180 (because Danny died) and becoming a researcher at The Magnus Institute. I imagine if he was successful and being a single guy who doesn’t have to provide for anyone else — Tim probably has a decent amount of money left over from that and is actually probably the most wealthy of the original archives gang.
That said — I don’t think any of them are extraordinarily wealthy and all come from working class backgrounds.
Jon does probably have the highest salary out of the starting four for sure simply because he’s the head archivist but he’s still probably not making bank. Once again, considering he’s a single man, he’s probably comfortable.
I assume because the way TMI seems to work, being an archival assistant probably comes with a bigger pay check than being a researcher at the institute. That’s said, again, they’re not making a ton and are probably making comfortable wages. Academia, especially in the humanities doesn’t pay a lot typically but TMI does has a lot of donors and generational wealth behind it so I imagine the assistants are doing okay.
As for Melanie, it all depends on how much Ghost Hunt UK was making and how much production cost. She could also just not be a super lavish person and her having a roommate doesn’t meant much as far as her wealth because it’s entirely possible that she didn’t want to live alone or something. That said, she is probably objectively the most wealthy of the archival gang overall. She owns a house (unless she rents it but I have no way of knowing whether or not that’s the case), which even if it’s not lavish, being able to afford that whereas the others just have flats indicates to me that she at least has a decent amount of savings.
Before the institute, Daisy and Basira are making cop salaries which is simply not a lot.

Well, now that I've updated my favorite Christmas songs list. Here is my list of favorite Halloween songs. Note, this list is subject to change based on my mood.
Bonus: Locked Within the Crystal Ball by Black Moore's Night. It's not actually Halloween related but it has a very elemental magick feel to it so I felt it was worth a mention.
Also bonus mention for Queen's A Kind of Magic.
25. Witch's brew by Omnia. The lyrics are directly taken from Shakespeare's MacBeth but because the play is considered to be cursed the song may be cursed. The story goes that the scene with he three witches was based on an encounter Shakespeare had with some actual witches and as punishment for making them characters in his play, the play was cursed. Now actors and theatre crew consider it bad luck to say the name of the play. It's often referred to as "The Scottish Play" and the only time its name can be said is when you are talking specifically about the character. So because it might be cursed, I put it very low on the list.
24. Lost in the Shadows from the Lost Boys soundtrack. This is an old favorite as I used to watch that movie every summer but I associate it more with summer than Halloween which is why I put it so low on the list.
23. The Master's song, sung by Renfield in Dracula the musical by Frank Wildhorn.
22. Life after Life from Dracula the musical by Frank Wildhorn and sung by Dracula and Lucy.
21. Anything can happen on Halloween sung by Tim Curry for the TV movie version of The Worst Witch.
20. Hex Girl from The Hex Girls for Scooby Doo and The Witch's Ghost. From the Wiccan Eco Goth equivalent of The Spice Girls.
19. Touching old Magic AKA The Halloween song from the Halloween door episode of The Real Ghostbusters animated series. Surprisingly good for a song from an animated series from the 80s.
18. Halloween by John McCutchen. This was a pain to track down. I heard it on Halloween radio and liked it and it took me a while to find a decent recording of it.
17. Halloween by J. P. Ashkar. This song was a Tiktok hit last Halloween and the full (longer) version of the audio can be found on Youtube. It's really very catchy.
16. Creepy Crawlies by Scary Bitches. This song was (for many years) the unofficial theme song to the Spirit Halloween store. The first time I heard it was on the radio in a Spirit Halloween store.
15. Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps) by David Bowie. Not quite Halloween related but it plays on Halloween radio and so does Magic Dance (which is listed under this one). The album Scary Monsters (and super Creeps) inspired Danny Elfman during his Oingo Boingo days.
14. Magic Dance by David Bowie for the movie Labyrinth. Sung by Jareth, The Goblin King, and his goblin minion, to entertain a human baby.
13. The Witches are back to the tune of the similarly named Elton John song, from Hocus Pocus 2.
12. One way or Another. The Hocus Pocus 2 version sung by Bette Midler.
11. I put a spell on you. Bette Midler's cover from Hocus Pocus.
10. Horror in Action by Kayak. For some reason this song makes me think of Cain and The House of Mystery horror anthology comics by DC.
9. You won't survive by Count Crow. A parody version of "I will Survive" sung by Dracula to his victims. I just think it's darkly funny.
8. Fright Night from J. Geils Band. This is the title track for the movie Fright Night from 1985 starring the late Roddy McDowall as a hasbeen horror actor who is dragged into the world of the supernatural when teenager, Charlie Brewster, believes his neighbor to be a real vampire. Peter Vincent must overcome his fears and becomes the hero he always pretended to be. Roddy McDowall's voice is even sampled briefly in the song.
7. Monster Mash by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. How can I not love this classic? But my favorite version of it is a recording I actually only heard relatively recently. Vincent Price's cover from the 1970s.
6. Thriller by Michael Jackson and Vincent Price. I mostly love it for the iconic dance but most especially for Vincent Price's poem / "Rap" and of course his iconic cackle at the end of the song. My friend Sarah used Vincent Price's cackle from the song as my ringtone on her cellphone for many years.
5. Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr. This one is a childhood favorite. The title track to the original Ghostbusters movie and the theme song for The Real Ghostbusters animated series. The animated series inspired me to study parapsychology and made me want to be a parapsychologist when I was thirteen.
A recent interview with Ray Parker Jr. revealed that he loves the song because it always makes people smile. No one is ever crying when the Ghostbusters song is playing. He said how even little kids will answer "Who you gonna call?" with "Ghostbusters!" And that's what he likes about the song, it brings people joy. There's no negative emotion attached to the song. And I realized he's right. It's just a fun song.
4. Pet Sematary by The Ramones. Deliberately misspelt, this song was the title track for the movie of the same name, based on the novel by Stephen King. I actually like the song more than the movie. The song is from the point of view of someone who doesn't want to be raised from the dead. In role playing games I always made this the favorite song of my original character, Shelley.
A cover of the song was performed by Plain White Ts for the soundtrack of Tim Burton's remake of Frankenweenie (he was remaking his own short film but as stop motion). I actually prefer the original Ramones version. Though I do love it's use for a Frankenstein story.
3. Weird Science by Danny Elfman / Oingo Boingo. I love the song for it's bouncy nature. Yes, it's "Mainstream' but so what? Oingo Boingo fans who refuse to like any of their "mainstream" songs are (in my opinion) kind of pretentious. Yes, it was written for a cheesy teen comedy that later became a 90s teen sitcom on USA Network. But so what? The song is from the point of view of a scientist / sorcerer or alchemist attempting to create life. It's heavily inspired by Bride of Frankenstein and the version used in the opening of the Weird Science TV series samples clips from Bride of Frankenstein.
In role playing games I often made this the favorite song of my "therapist for monsters" character Percy Van Helsing.
2. Dead Man's Party. This song will now always remind me of a wonderful time I had with my cousin and soul sister, Jessica Louise Conroy and her son, Joey, at Six Flags last Halloween season. It played a lot over the speakers there and was already a Halloween favorite of mine. It's by Danny Elfman from when he was the lead singer of the rock band Oingo Boingo. And it makes reference to the scary story "Room for One More." Today Danny Elfman uses it as his encore performance at the end of his Nightmare before Christmas concerts but between 1996 until 2015 he did not perform it live. Now it's tradition that he adds it to his annual Nightmare before Christmas concerts. And the song became the basis for Six Flag's Halloween stage show of the same name, "Dead Man's Party."
1. This is Halloween. Written by Danny Elfman for Nightmare before Christmas it finally reached the Billboard Top 100 for the first time this year. My favorite recording of it is the demo version sung by Danny Elfman himself because it sounds like Jack Skellington is giving you a tour of his home town.
Another Bonus: I also love Halloween Bash by Irving Fink. I didn't put it on the list before because I couldn't remember who recorded it. I knew it as "Monster Bash" from Halloween Radio, a song I heavily associate with my dearest friend Lorie Pringle

Joker: Mental Health and Subversion of Expectations
By: scarlet-spider7
If you asked me who my favorite villain of all time, I wouldn’t be able to give you ONE answer, my answer would be, Green Goblin, Cruella De Vill, and of course, The Joker. The Joker is arguably the most iconic superhero villain, and arguably, the best. The Joker is an agent of chaos and in my opinion has helped tell some of the best Bat Man stories, and has also been the main character in one of my favorite super hero movies, (or super villain movies) Joker, this is an essay about why, it is such an amazing movie, and a bit of a lesson on how to use the Joker character.
Spoilers From This Point On.
The movie opens on a perfect note, Joker starring in a mirror with clown makeup on, frowning. He puts his fingers in his mouth, and positions his lips into a smiling position, and then a single tear falls from his eye. It’s immediately obvious, that this man, has mental problems...
Mental Health: This is THE central aspect of the film, it’s the Jokers struggle with mental health and decent into madness. We don’t actually know WHAT his mental problem is, but I can describe to you three of his mental problems shown in the movie and how they tie into the plot.
The first one is laughing uncontrollably, which is said to have been caused by head trauma. Though it SEEMS uncontrollable it may be caused by elevated levels of stress, as he laughs in most stressful moments. Second, he learns by seeing, but, like, to an extreme. At one point, he saw three men on the subway harassing a woman, al laughing, so, Joker, laughs, right along with them. We also see him at a standup comedy bar, taking notes on how to tell jokes, so we can better understand why he laughed along with those scum on the subway, he is learning, and really doesn't know right from wrong. And finally, seeing things that aren’t real, which I'll get into in a moment. but first, I want to talk about-
Adapting The Joker: This is one of the two best adaptations of the Joker; I won’t talk about the other (but I bet you could guess) but why? Throughout the movie you may have noticed that this maniacal tyrant who is known for being a killer, only has a body count of seven. If you haven’t seen the movie and you're reading this as an entry point to the film, you must be shocked! But it works so damn well. The Joker only kills if it is necessary for his plan, not if it’s absolutely necessary, because he loves making wiggle room in his plans. His laughter causing him physical pain, also seems so perfect for the character, in such an odd way. Comparing this origin movie to his origin in the first Tim Burton Bat Man movie, this movie takes the cake. Even though Tim Burton's Joker origin is much more well known, the one presented in this movie is better. Instead of seeming like an evil demon emerging from the acid, he is a person, and because he is just a person now, it seems scarier. And when watching a movie with Joker, you should be scared
Subversion of Expectations: At the end of the Mental Health segment, I mentioned that Aurther saw things that weren’t real, let me explain one. At the beginning of the movie, Joker meets a woman in an elevator named Sophie. Throughout the movie, she supports Joker in everything he does, and even begins a relationship with Joker. And then, in one scene, he walks into her apartment, and sits on the couch. Sophie walks up from behind him and, she is shocked, and then the audience is shocked, when she says “Your name is Aurthur right? Can I call your mom is she home” Nobody was expecting this, I can guarantee you, this is obviously is subversions of expectations. As Joker begins his descent into madness, you expect Sophie to leave Joker eventually, not being able to stay with a madman, so you expect Sophie to make the Joker sad, and you’d be right, but you didn’t expect it to be done in the way it was. Other big shockers in the movie were Jokers adoption, and that he was abused as a child, Tomas and Martha Wayne being inadvertently killed by the Joker, and plenty more. Circling back to Sophie, Joker losing her hurts him, which makes sense! And to become Joker, you’d have to endure-
Losing Everything: The first thing Joker lost was his job, all because of one of his fellow workers spinning a web of circumstances and lies so he could fire his co-workers. Next, he lost his therapist and psychiatrist prescribed medicine due to budget cuts in the city, and someone so mentally ill can’t benefit from lack of help. He lost his parentage, he found out he was adopted and abused by his mother! He lost his mentor, who humiliated him on TV. And through all that, at least he had his girlfriend Sophie, after all of this, literally minutes later he found out he made Sophie up. Obviously, this could break anyone to insanity, but Joker was already insane, no, the reason that this man became a killer is that, he has to deal with-
Being a Product of Your Environment: This whole movie has a central theme of Gotham being a bad, bad place. At one point in this move the Joker says, “If one of you were dead on the ground there would be swarms of people surrounding you, but if it were me, you’d just step over me” Gotham neglects someone who can’t fit in, someone who doesn't already know how to survive. Tomas Wayne perfectly embodies this, in fact he embodies the whole city, IN UNIVERSE when characters think of Gotham, they think of Tomas Wayne. And Tomas Wayne offers no sympathy for people like Joker, and though he says he does, he cares nothing for the lower class, so it makes sense why the lower-class sides with Joker, and Gotham, becomes a house divided against itself, upper class versus lower class. This war actually ends in a loss for the upper class, by Tomas Wayne being killed. Tomas Wayne being killed, inevitably leads to Bat Man, and Bat Man inevitably leads to-
Joker VS Bat Man:
There isn’t a single Bat Man vs Joker fight, hell, Bat Man isn’t even in the movie! But in the Jokers actions, it’s easy to draw parallels. Infact, on the surface level, Bat Man and The Joker are the same, straight down to the supposed Tomas Wayne parentage, so why IS it that every time the Joker does something, it draws parallels from Bat Man? Again, we circle back to that upper class VS lower class struggle, Gotham's lower class bread the perfect killer, and its upper class bread the perfect hero.
The Differences Between a Joker Movie, and A Bat Man Movie:
This movie easily could have been a re-hash of any given Bat Man movie, just with extra Joker footage, but it was nothing AT ALL like a Bat Man movie! Bat Man movies portray Tomas Wayne as a saint, while this movie portrays his as a scumbag. Bat Man movies portray Joker as a scumbag, and this movie portrays Joker as, an innocent exploited by the system. Yet the similarities are still uncanny, both show how messed up the system is, how the “villains” are just people who need help, and are all still really enjoyable.
The closing scene of the movie shows Joker in an interrogation room, that is inside a mental hospital where he laughs at the therapist questioning him. The next shot is of him walking down a hallway, leaving a trail of bloody footprints behind him.
Initially, while watching this movie, I thought it was a tragedy, but now I realize... It’s a fucking comedy.

Ten Characters, Ten Fandoms, Ten Tags
Thanks for tagging @chrisoels ! At first I thought I don't have that many fandoms but then I found out that I actually have way too many😅 (why do I always have to overthink stuff like this?) So as there's no clear rules given here - I split it into the list of 10 characters and the list of 10 fandoms because why not:
TEN CHARACTERS - lets start with something normal...
John "Jack" Robinson (from Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries series) - for making all the most minimalistic reactions feel sooo intense with his voice, his face, his appearence and the way he can blink... He's the coolest quiet guy!❤
Amelie (from Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, 2001, dir. Jean-Pierre Jeunet) - nice, quiet girl who is not best at socialising and doesn't enjoy sex (greysexual?) yet loves to make other people happy. Doing good things without being noticed makes her feel powerful and make her feel like Zorro. I love that she eventually gets some kind of reward for all that and the kissing scene in the end is sooo very sweet❤
Pollyanna (from Pollyanna, 1913 novel written by Eleanor H. Porter) [books counts too I guess?] - for looking at the positive side of every situation, what's more to say? Best way to live your life when you're too empathetic👍
Benton Fraser (from Due South series) - a guy from other realm: elegant, polite and humble, obeying all the rules and still be the smartest and most effective police officer around. Not to mention how handsome and cute he is! (take it for ace version of "hot") and scenes like when he falls into the snow in end credits I could watch forever❤ (so bad his asexual smart-ass potential has been wasted by producers in every next season...)
Young Bilbo Baggins (from The Hobbit, or There and Back Again written by J.R.R. Tolkien) - the book character once more: the guy, who starts up as the classical loser, the smallest in the group, knowing nothing, understanding nothing and being scared of his own shadow - when given a chance proves his potential for the greatest deeds, smartest solving problems and bravest of actions💪And the talking to the dragon on the top of that, OMG!!!🤯 (sorry, but Peter Jackson version packed with CGI and unnecessary stuff for me was emotionally flat as a pancake😩)
Zorro (from Zorro, 1957 Walt Disney series) - ZORRO!!! if that's not self-explanatory I don't know what to say😂
Z (from Ant Z , 1998dir. Eric Darnell and Tim Johnson) - for: "Why does everybody have to dance the same way?"
Sherlock Holmes (from Sherlock BBC series) and Gregory House (from House M.D. series) - well it is technically the same character (like Doctor Who or like James Bond - played by multiple actors): brilliant antisocial detective no matter if he is played by Benedict Cumberbatch or Hugh Laurie. And if not for his stunning personality (you may love him, you may hate him but you can't stay indifferent) - all the undefined interactions, dialogs and puns between Sherlock and John or between Greg House and Lisa Cuddy are just pure gold❤️‍🔥
Howard Brackett (from In & Out, 1997 dir. Frank Oz) - sooo sweet, I consider him my favorite ace movie character💜💚 (the 1990's movie tells him to be "gay" but I'd say it's an obvious misrecognition and I'd need another post to tell more about that guy...😋)
Jareth the Goblin King (from Labyrinth 1986, dir. Jim Henson) - well... that's another guy that I sooo much need another post to talk about😆 Starred by David Bowie, nuff said😎
.
TEN FANDOMS (don't worry, this part is much shorter):
Labyrinth (1986, dir. Jim Henson) and its fancomic Girls Next Door (I love that in the fancomic Jareth gets muuuch more good time teasing and flirting Sarah!😋) - what to say? Everything is magical and fancy here but never too naive
X-men - a talent that makes you special also makes you an outcast (which is not any different from the real world actually...) Also cool looking action scenes and young Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine.
Collateral (2004, dir. Michael Mann) - I watched it for the first time in 2021 and it became my biggest obsession, hyperfixation and life perspective changing experience❤️‍🔥 (again - most definitely some other post to talk about it) But apart from my madness it's also is just a very good action movie with nice soundtrack. And ppl saying they hate Tom Cruise but loved Collateral says a lot about it!👍
Terminator 2: The Judgement Day. It's like Zorro to me - obssesed since my childhood and never get over it
Fiddler on The Roof - pure perfection
M.A.S.H. series - classic
House M.D. - apart from everything else it was also a great help during medical studies - nice thing when you can memorise weird disease symptoms with an episode😉
Toy Story - fascinating thing to watch every next movie growing up with you - from your childhood problems to middle age issues...
Matrix - hyperfixation of 13 years old me (but the first movie I choose to treat as a whole story)
Garfield - 😁
Oh, that was kind of refreshing. Turns out I actually needed that.
Now I'm afraid I do not know enough people to tag but lets try it: @the-malfunctioning-somnambulist , @vampiiriic , @blackhoodedfigur , @lireb-librarian , @voidofsky , @sharp-lines-in-charcoal , @dragodina , @sbmranger , @tamisdava2 , @notasapleasure
Have fun if you feel like it or just have a good day anyway!❤

Reasons to watch Justice League Action
Joker, voiced by Mark Hamill, and Trickster, also voiced by Mark Hamill, kidnap Mark Hamill (also voiced by Mark Hamill).
A giant cat attacks (long story). Everyone is struggling with it, and Batman just casually uses a laser pointer to distract it. Did I mention the laser pointer beam was bat-shaped?
Batman attempts to be the “good cop” and Superman attempts to be the “bad cop” when they interrogate Deadshot. As you can imagine, Batman offering coffee and a chocolate doughnut is absolutely terrifying.
Villains fear Batman and heroes are afraid to mess up in front of him, but he still has some really sweet moments.
Batman knows what a videogame called “Boulevard Brawler 2” is because “Robin plays it all the time on the batcomputer.”
Same episode, Batman’s trapped in the game and Toyman uses Wonder Woman to beat the hell out of him. Batman is lying on the ground, likely in pain, and he just glares at Toyman and says “Robin’s better [at playing the game].” This man is so proud of everything his children do.
Same episode, we get a peek into the Batcave. Along with some other costumes there is a Robin one, likely Jason’s (*cri*), which means the aforementioned Robin is Tim.
We get to see Batman on his first case (wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey), in which he watches his past self try and fail to use a grappling hook.
The Joker is such an icon in this. In most media I despise him (mostly the character, not the characterization) (except for in Suicide Squad, no more of that characterization please), but in JLA he’s hysterical. Goes to the watchtower to genuinely appreciate a tour.
Martian Man Hunter, turning to Batman after making a pun: [It was] my attempt at humor. How did I do?
Batman, deadpan: I’m the wrong one to ask.
Djinn, with a creepy and triumphant grin: I am Uthool!
Batman, ready to fight: I don’t care.
Zatanna, to Batman: Don’t underestimate yourself. Little secret: when goblins want to scare themselves, they tell Batman stories.
Green Arrow, to Batman: *sigh* I know it’s generous, but we’re both in the billionaire masked vigilante “making the world a better place game,” so I figure—
Batman: *ejects him from the batmobile*
Solomon Grundy: That’s how servants treat their king!
Batman, with narrowed eyes: You’ll forgive me if I don’t curtsy.
Superman: *briefly loses his powers, breaks his leg*
Batman, with absolutely no sympathy: Hurts, doesn’t it?
“I…. AM…. BATMAN!”
Wonder Woman. Just Wonder Woman being an absolute icon.
Booster gold wearing this:
Tumblr media
And there are so many more hilarious interactions like this. If I had a week this post would be longer than the “color of the sky” post.

More batfamily headcanons because I have so so many:
Duke has a lisp
He also has deadpan humor which his siblings love especially when their in masks and civilians can’t tell whether he’s joking or not
Duke has managed to hide exactly how chaotic he is from Bruce
Nobody told the league what dukes power is
It took them 2 years to figure it out
All they were told is that he was a meta and the all the bat kids had the time of their lives messing with them
He managed to convince a chunk of them that he could communicate with bats
He and tim together are a nightmare
Duke and Tim are the same age
Therefore they really love playing around with the twin stereotypes (twin telepathy, sharing all the same things so forth so on)
(“Oh you two are related” “yeah we’re identical twins”) (“I mean obviously I was born first” “were not” “yes I was I remember kicking you out of the way”) (“yeah Bruce couldn’t tell us apart so we were color coded” “I was red he was yellow” “I’m still not sure he didn’t get us mixed up”)
Tim gets all of his bad habits from dick
The not sleeping, not taking care of himself ,becoming obsessive over cases, holding himself to an impossible standard then hating himself when he fumbles along the way. blaming himself for things he can’t control so on and so on
No one has pointed it out because no one thinks either of them would handle the news well
Tim shattered the knee cap of Gotham academy’s quarter back in school when he overheard him call Damian a slur promptly ending his very promising football career
Dick has a playlist for each original titan member full of songs that remind him of them
Kori proposed to Dick
He cried
When angry, and I mean really angry, there are very very very few people who aren’t afraid of Dick
The people include: Alfred, Wally, kori, Roy, Barbara Tim and WonderWoman
Superman has backed away from Dick before
Dick has also made the justice league stop and take a step back because they didn’t want to get in his way
The bats are the only heroes who tend to get immediate respect because of their symbol
They hate it and tend to go out of their way to prove that they can earn the respect
Tim is one of the few people who can trick kryptonians, telepaths, and bats
There’s no special reason he just got really good at lying trying to get out of schoolwork when he was a kid
Nobody can maneuver and manipulate Bruce like Tim can and it frightens a lot of the hero community
His siblings however think it’s hilarious
If all in a good mood the Wayne kids are nightmares at galas
One time Bruce was accidentally shoved into a food table by one of his goblins
Which started a food fight
It was all over the front pages and everyone thought it was adorable, him humoring his children
The contact photos for all of them on Stephanies phone are strawberry shortcake characters she thinks each are
There’s a gold star chart in the bat cave no one knows how it got there or who started it
They also have no idea how they get a star added to their names each one has spent more time then willing to admit trying to figure it
Also trying to figure out if Bruce is doing it or Alfred
It’s Bruce
And he just randomly puts them on
He finds it entertaining how competitive they get over it
Dick gets cold really easily so in Gotham he’s practically always cold
So there are giant incredibly soft blankets on every single couch or chair in the manor
Mainly because the manor stays fairly cold because Jason runs hot
Bruce always keeps it cold even after Jason died
Since coming back Jason stays cold and nothing helps
He doesn’t mention it to Bruce
Jason’s blood glows
Not neon like a glow stick but it has a shine to it
It’s also jet black
When he gets really bad flashbacks he feels all of the injuries that caused his death which leaves him on the ground writhing until he passes out from the pain
He also tends to bleed when he gets to worked up.
He will bleed from his eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and fingernails
Its mainly his eyes tho
Pride doesn’t happen in Gotham. At least not parades because while you have all of the bats and even certain rogues protecting it the city ‘doesn’t want to take that chance’
While Gotham is a lot of things homophobic is not one of them (there are homophobes but they are are few and far between and it’s extremely risky for them to say anything hateful out loud)
So during pride month a lot and I mean a lot of people hang pride flags. Typically never the same one twice. It’s the most color Gotham sees during the year
And the big event is a gala at the manor open to everyone
Harley, ivy and Selina are the guards for it.
It’s free admission but has donation stations and all proceeds go to multiple LGBT+ charities and organizations
It’s a huge event and has been going on since Dick suggested it when he was 12
They have held it every year since and never once has it gone poorly
Barbara has punched Bruce after he told her one night when she was batgirl that she couldn’t have any more coffee
Cassandra is a very tactile person and will cling on to whichever family member is closest to her
Her and Harper are really close and it terrifies the rest of her siblings
Stephanie and Harper started a club called the ‘honoraries’ for the kids that aren’t legally Bruce’s but still live in the manor
Stephs mom travels a lot for work so when her mom is out of town she lives at the manor
She’s there often enough that she has her own room
However she is always out of the house before the sun even rises on the days her mom comes home because of how excited she is to see her mom
Cassandra is scared of dogs

The Maul Continues! While I listen to the audio version of the Bromeliad Trilogy.
Tumblr media
Shatta/Madam Sharn’s is finishing up. Lighting continues to be the thorn in my side, so enjoy the battery-operated tea lights. Signage is forthcoming.
On to Boffo’s…
Tumblr media
The mini brands I’ve received will be repurposed as the various hag necessities mentioned in Wintersmith. Also…you’ll notice this will be number 4 on my little version of Tenth Egg Street. I have a mini brands pickle jar that is in the process of being converted into a donation jar for the Sunshine Sanctuary for Swamp Dragons that will sit on the counter…once the counter is finished. There will be a second floor for a millinery at some point. A lot of Boffo will be completed as Halloween items become available. Plus Tim Holtz - lots of Tim Holtz is on its way for next week’s update.
Tumblr media
Crowley’s Toy Store is assembling pieces complete with a dollhouse. I’m most excited for Hogswatch with this store.
Pseudo Pots a store of fake Unggue pots run by goblins is being mapped out…
Tumblr media
Still working on this. I want a space for the goblin clerks but also big enough for human-size.

Top 10 Scooby-Doo Movies
Scooby-Doo is an American animated franchise. It comprises many animated television series produced from the year 1969 to the present. The franchise is also composed of several derivative media. One of these includes a direct-to-video film series with over thirty titles. Due to the long list of videos, the best Scooby-Doo movies will be presented. Disclaimer: This article contains spoilers to the following Scooby-Doo movies.
1. Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island
Although the Scooby franchise has always been about cracking urban legends and myths to reveal the truth in solving mysteries, this is one of the movies which breaks the tradition. However, unlike the other films, this video undoes the tradition in more ways than one. Apparently, an ancient cat god is the true religion in this universe. It’s also the start of everything in this dark and twisted tale.

2. Scooby-Doo & the Loch Ness Monster
Firstly, this movie has the best soundtrack out of all the Scooby-Doo films. Secondly, this movie mostly revolves around Daphne. It provides some background and creates a bit of family for her character too. Despite this, Scooby and Shaggy’s comedy steals the show whenever they’re on screen. Plus, the Loch Ness Monster also looks cool, even if a glimpse of the creature is only truly seen at the end.

3. Scooby-Doo & the Witch’s Ghost
This movie has a lot of classic Halloween vibes. It’s the perfect film to watch around the spookiest time of the year. The villain is voiced by none other than Tim Curry and his acting is always a treat. Regardless of this, the film is really only remembered by the introduction of the eco-goth band members, the Hex Girls. However, the idea magic, ghosts and witches are real is fun as well.

4. Scooby-Doo & the Alien Invaders
Shaggy and Scooby are the best characters from the franchise. Because of this, the movie made the list since it mostly revolves around these two individuals. The film may have a few corny scenes, but the desert artwork in this video is breath-taking. Plus, the different take on supernatural aliens is also rather refreshing.

5. Scooby-Doo & the Cyber Chase
Despite the ending-feel vibes this film has, there are a lot of creative moments. The montage of different levels is fun and interesting to watch. Also, like the previous movie mentioned, the animation in this film is great too. The “monster” in this is weird yet creepy in its own way. How this thing also came into being is something new to the franchise as well.

6. Scooby-Doo & the Goblin King
For a movie which is supposed to be all about Halloween, it takes a while to present all the fun visuals of the holiday. However, when the spirit of the holiday does come around it doesn’t disappoint. The Halloween creatures are a joy to watch. This video's only real downfall is not seeing Fred, Daphne and Velma remain monsters for a little while to witness what chaos they do. However, despite the corny scenes and weird moments, the film does focus on Shaggy and Scooby for the most part.

7. Scooby-Doo in Where’s My Mummy?
Even though Daphne takes over the film towards the end, this movie mostly centers around Velma. This is also another film in the franchise where yet another creature turns out to be real. The story is also nice too as this is the only movie without any of the typical corny scenes.

8. Scooby-Doo Pirates Ahoy
In this movie, Fred is the center of focus. Like what Scooby-Doo and the Loch Ness Monster did for Daphne, Fred’s character is gains some background and family too. Although there are many corny moments, the introduction to the ghosts is rather creepy. The beginning scene does a good job at setting up these monsters too.

9. Scooby-Doo & the Monster of Mexico
The villain in this film is a savage. It’s also kind of crazy for a Scooby movie to feature a demon as the main monster. Having the characters speak Spanish whenever they are referring to the beast may hide this detail from kid viewers, but some adults could pick up on this fact. Although there isn’t anything special to this film, its still fun to watch.

10. Aloha, Scooby-Doo
Out of all the Scooby-Doo movies featured in this list, this film is perhaps the goofiest. There are several silly scenes with the tiki monsters one losses track. Unlike certain movies, all the characters seem to have an equal part in this film too. Overall, this movie is fun to watch like all the other Scooby films.
