I really like CM Ep 5x11 Retaliation. It's a great episode all around. The way the story picks up at the end of the case and continues to unfold is exciting and full of action, and more about the unraveling of a mystery rather than the psychology of a killer. The energy and pacing is on point, and the scenes with the bad guys don't bog the story down.

It's also a good Emily episode. She gets banged up but gets to be a badass & still manages to be exceptionally pretty even with a black eye (great job makeup!). There are several choice moments between her and Morgan ("I like pushing you around").

And these are some of my favorite guest stars! Lee Tergesen giving us his classic Evil Bastard. I can't watch him without thinking of his turn in the final season of Defiance. He does fucked up violent maniac so well! I love to hate him. I've had a soft spot for Tim Guinee for years since a little indie film he did in 2005 called Sweet Land. He was in Stargate SG-1 back in the day as well. Even the detective guy, Bunting, is good. He's played by A. Martinez who's done a ton of stuff but I know best from his work on Longmire.
