With that out of the way, all that's left for complete map completion is PoF (all maps), LS4 (all maps, but some half completed) and Seitung + Echovald.
That seems doable.

Yes I did finally finish totk and can finally watch all the theory videos
I've been seeing alot of the idea that, while you completely forget who you are when you become a dragon there's this idea that your last thoughts become like your core
Zelda wanted to help Link, she is the only dragon completely passive to Link and helps you during the final fight
Ganon wanted to kill Link, and well, boss fight ensues
Been thinking many thoughts about Farosh, Dinraal and Naydra and who became them
Do you think their last thoughts were to protect the land? Did Farosh live right by a lake? Living with a nomadic tribe that changed which shores they lived by as food or seasons moved? Did she ever see the Gerudo? Have trade with them in the tougher months that they spent in the highlands? Did Dinraal live on death mountain or around it? In fertile ground perfect for farming, was she an explorer? A pilgrim? Does her flight path to the forgotten temple mean she saw it in her lifetime? Or is something in her she can't remember her drawing her to the ancient temple? Was Nayra a spiritual person? Spending her time at the goddess touched springs and holy pilgrimage routes, was she born in Hateno and look down at the town tucked at the bottom of her mountain as she prayed? Or was she born further north? Close enough to the Zora to be under their royal laws? To know how sacred and important water was? To see first hand what happens when Hyrules main water source freezes over?
Did living under the Thunderhead Isles bring down an endless thunderstorm on Farosh's lakes? Electrifying the water and killing all the fish
Did the lake basin supplying Hyrules rivers freeze? Was Nayra asked to pray desperately to an unhearing goddess at the frozen mountains peak for salvation, answers, anything at all?
Did death mountain erupt endlessly? Scorching the farming lands and causing widespread famine?
Did these three, who had some power, and a sacred stone, did they make the ultimate sacrifice to save their lands? Immortalizing their last thoughts of protection forever in a dragon watching overhead for eternity?

Okay lotr/sil OCs I have two that are a package set, cousins sort of? (You don't have to do both ^__^ or, you know, either if they don't spark anything)
One is male, reasonably tall, tan skin, with wide eyes that are grey but just a bit lavender (the kind of color that doesn't really register as lavender unless he wears purple or blue kinda? If that makes sense?).
He has the kind of features people describe as cheerful and sunny. A really nice smile? He has a scar split through the far left side of his lower lip down nearly to his chin from a fight he got into (someone said something he couldn't let go)
His hair is rabbits fur tan-grey. Which I headcanon as a mostly Sindar hair color. (Which meikers and other doll sites never have *sad sigh*) Texture is wispy fine, the kind of hair that starts coming out of whatever style its been put in to immediately after its been put up unless massive amounts of fixture is used, so he only does fancy styles for special occasions. Mostly it goes up in a bun, or a tail, or braids at the temples and pulled back, always with bits flying free of the style. It's usually about waist length if he hasn't burned it off doing something inadvisable.
He wears several gold hoops and studs, with ruby and garnet stones, and bangles, because he likes the clinking sounds they make. He sometimes wears a few rings on each hand (Noldor and their sparkly things) but more often he needs his hands free of things that could catch, so he strings them on the gold chain he wears, along side a small pendant star of Feanor.
He dresses nicely! Except he is one of those people that can't keep away from things that cause messes ever so his clothes almost always end up rumpled or singed or torn.
His cousin is blatantly and unabashedly based, personality wise, on Joan Watson from Elementary. So like, adventurous lady who seems like she's calmer and more careful, but that's only compared to her very smart but somewhat unhinged bestie and partner.
She's a little bit taller than my guy OC, with a similar skin tone, and grey eyes. No lavender for her, her's are thunderhead grey. Her hair is dark reddish brown, and wavy when loose. She has a shallow widows peak. She mostly keeps it back in a tight braid that reaches about down to her tailbone, or up with (sharp) jeweled hair sticks. Style made fancier when she needs it to be.
She has sharp features, and a resting face that says she is Unimpressed. She's got no facial scars, but several slices across the sides of her arms and forearms. Most are faded to almost nothing. She's pretty careful.
She wears a single pair of gold and ruby studs, with a matching necklace and cuff bracelet. She's Noldor but doesn't really 'get' the jewelry thing. She has as much as any lady, but only wears it when she has to. She does quite like fancy clothing though! She very much appreciates lovely colors and fabrics and embroidery. She just often ends up following her cousin onto rooftops and through fens and up mountains so she mostly keeps to practical AND pretty, and saves the gowns for when they're actually in Mithlond or other gown appropriate venues.
Both are generally armed, him with a sword and a bow, her with a shield and a halberd.
If something is mysteriously on fire, and they're in the area, there is like an 80% chance they're involved.
You will notice I have mentioned no names! These two are being SO stubborn about that. No names yet. Just stand ins of Rabbit and Fox!
Tumblr media
The ask of not absolutely Drenching a noldo in jewellery was a big ask but I channeled the maximalism into the surcoat embroidery.
Fox is lovely, and I'm so glad you have me the chance to draw her!
I feel like they'd get along great with one of my ocs. same kind of chaos energy.

Who is Hesperiah Kinslayer?
Tumblr media
Behemoth. Mountain. A Bastion.
Those are just some of the words used to describe the Pact Lieutenant Hesperiah Kinslayer. While nowhere near as famous as the storied Commander, or their guild. Hesperiah has carved a name for herself among the ranks of both the Vigil, and The Pact.
Tumblr media
Despite being a hulking 9 foot 11 inches. (302.26cm). Hesperiah is often described as sociable, yet reserved by her peers. An 11 year veteran of the Vigil, and the Pact means that she has taken part in every campaign waged by The Pact during the Dragon crisis. And carries the stories and scars to prove it.
Having joined The Vigil in 1325 at just the age of 18. Hesperiah was wild, snappy, and difficult to work it. Reclusive during her training, Hesperiah spoke nothing of her past before being recruited, often giving other recruits the cold shoulder. For most of the Zhaitan crisis, she remained a lowly foot soldier in The Vigil, and much the same during the formation of the The Pact.
It wasn't until the assault on Orr where her shell began to crack, as Hesperiah made friends with a group of Gladium that comprised the squad she was attached to. Although she still she kept much to herself, Hesperiah explained that she, too, was a Gladium. and had been since she was 15.
Hesperiah's original warband had been wiped out in an ambush set up by Flame Legion posing defectors seeking asylum. It was supposed to be a simple training exercise that quickly spiraled out of control, with even her Primus being injured in the ensuing battle. At the time, Hesperiah, still too young to properly cope, was deeply scarred by the experience.
This trauma manifested in her unstoppability during battle. Cleaving through hordes, and in some cases shrugging off wounds if it meant claiming one more dragon minion head. Her sheer size, and tenacity growing into a beacon that others could rally around. After all, it was difficult not to be inspired watching her shatter her greatsword slaying an enemy, only to cast it aside and continue the fight with her bare hands.
Due to this, Hesperiah earned her promotion to Lieutenant after the defeat of Zhaitan. Having grown into a leadership role during her time in Orr, she signed on for officer training. Further cracking the shell she surrounded herself with, as she grew comfortable with the members of her order, and the Pact. Forming deeper connections with the gladia she'd come to know, as well as members of the other orders.
In 1328, The Pact suffered a cataclysmic ambush from the Jungle Dragon, Mordermoth, while confronting him over Maguuma. This being Hesperiah's second brush with death, as she became lost in the Tangled Depths following the utter chaos and confusion. Surviving for days against Chak before eventually reuniting with The Pact at Dragon's Stand. The ordeal leaving much of her armor in tatters, causing her to fashion replacements using Leystone. Although during her time in Maguuma, Hesperiah discovered her knack for Longbows, embracing her role as a Dragonhunter.
Not much is known about what Hesperiah was up to between 1328 and 1332. As she took leave during that time, along with her Squadmates. Although before she left, she had a custom Greatsword and Longbow made for her. Much larger than the standard, and made from much stronger materials. These weapons wouldn't break under the strain of her powerful swings, and could channel her magic much more effectively.
However, after she returned from her absence in early 1332, Hesperiah was now the leader of the newly formed Kin Warband, having taken the surname of Kinslayer. Comprised of the Gladia she'd grown close to over the years. Not a single one of them speaks of the events that transpired, often stating that it is not their story to tell when asked about it.
Later that year, The Pact suffered a defeat at the hands of Kralkatorrik, after they failed to slay him at Thunderhead Peak. Again, Hesperiah showed her fierce tenacity, surviving being buried alive in the aftermath of the Elder dragon fleeing. After her third brush with death, Hesperiah developed a dark sense of humor, as well as solidifying herself among her peers as truly hard to kill...
Later still, when the Charr Civil war began. Hesperiah and her War Band of course participated on behalf of the United Legions. Although they officially had no loyalty to society that discarded them, they still felt that it was a right thing to do. Especially so, after the learning the circumstances of General Almorra's death, which infuriated Hesperiah to no end.
When The Dragon Storm happened in 1334, Hesperiah once again threw herself into the fray. Wanting to witness the end of the Twin Elder Dragons for herself, and as a quiet, personal tribute to Soulkeeper, someone she looked up to fondly in her early years in the Vigil. Once Primordus and Jormag destroyed each other, Hesperiah bid farewell to Almorra, promising to carry on her legacy, just like the rest of the order.
Which meant throwing herself headlong into the Void crisis in Cantha. The Last Elder dragon. One last fight. For Almorra...
Although she didn't take part in the direct assault on Soo-Won atop the Harvest Temple, Hesperiah did what she did best: Slay Dragon minions, and be an unshakable beacon for her allies on the battlefield.
Now a well, and truly seasoned veteran Lieutenant. While she has considered applying for a high position, as some have put in recommendations for her. But for the time being, she is content with staying where she's at. Especially now that The Pact finally has a moment to rest and breathe. Hesperiah taking an extended leave of absence to travel the world, and experience life away from the battlefields of Tyria.
Maybe one day, you will cross paths with the Kinslayer herself.

Would you ever really love me
Would you ever truly be soft
Would I ever really get in
Past the skin
Would you let us sink in
Or am I just dreaming again
That I could be the one
You’d finally open yourself to
Like seeing the picture in my head
Of open vistas
Spilling forth with golden frond dreams
Waving in wind flung ecstasies
Thunderheads above
Soft grays and peaks of bunched white
Skies with soft sunlight
Bleeding in
Washing over
the planes of your existence
Filling my heart
In the spaces I’ve always torn apart

Meet Gravewatcher Siobhan. Shiv, to her friends.
Shiv is a paranormal investigator and archaeologist, fascinated with the ancient origins of life on Tyria and the intricacies and interplay of the material world and the Mists. A fast friend to the Deldrimor and a committed Priory scholar, she got her "Dark Souls"-esque name from her habits- rather literally, she watches graves.
During the Risen incursions following Zhaitan's rise to power, she served the Pact in her own grim but highly necessary way- walking between fresh graves with lamp and censer, driving off corruption in the soil, diverting Zhaitan's influence away from fallen soldiers in times where the magic was too rampant to purify.
She remained with the Pact for some time following the showdown in Orr- when news of Zhaitan's fall reached Fort Trinity, she was already on a ship heading toward Siren's Landing for continued investigations.
It wasn't until long after the events that shook Maguuma- she thought it best to sit Mordremoth out, given her already-malleable state of mind- that she left her little patch of Orr to serve the world's best interests again.
The Thunderhead Peaks were calling.
Between Ogden Stonehealer's observations recorded at the Priory, the various ruins she'd explored, and the numerous conspiracy theories she'd entertained herself with while digging up Orr's beaches, she was ready to involve herself in history and get some answers.
Some distinguish themselves with acts of great valor or daring. Shiv rose through the ranks as if steadily walking, one at a time, at a pace she set- an explorer until it served better to be a magister, a magister until her studies called for the access afforded to Priory archons.
It was from this position of magical affluence that she investigated the Great Dwarf- and began to seek linkages between the Eternal Alchemy and rituals of collective consciousness. Her theory held that all things were conscious- and that by mapping that consciousness with techniques similar to those used by Omadd's machine, an individual could- in essence- get a message out to all creation.
More practical means won out- before long the soldiers were beating Kralkatorrik's crystallized blood into spears and swords, and that was a good deal more straightforward than trying to map his brain and then solve it like a Rubik's cube.
But somehow she knew she wasn't done playing with the Eternal Alchemy. Some might've taken Scarlet Briar's dangerous foibles as an object lesson in not playing with cosmology, but when Cantha opened up to the world, she was quick to hop a ship and race to Echovald Forest.
She had heard a thing or two about Wardens, and needed very much to prove a point.
Their unity with Urgoz was a little too similar to the Rite of the Great Dwarf. Were they another inroad to map the way minds could connect?
If there was any hope of finding out, it was swallowed by the crisis in the Jade Sea. She, like everyone else, had to rush east and put her magic to good use to keep the continent- and so much beyond it- from being consumed by dragonvoid.
But now?
Now there's wizards. Wizards explicitly keeping secrets in their flying castle high above Tyria, watching the world churn below.
Shiv wants in. It's time to connect all the red twine on her corkboard and crack the case on whether consciousness in Tyria is all linked, and whether the will of one is the same as the will of the world.
If she can prove this, it has the potential to change everything. Change how Tyrians at large understand each other.
If it takes looking a little crazy to get to that point, she can live with that!

If we were to get Tears of the Kingdom dlc it most definitely won't be this, it would probably be like a Master Trials + Champion's Ballad like thing similar to BotW, but I think it would be great if it was a large-scale story dlc set during the peak of Zonai civilization prior to their disappearance where we play as Rauru, Mineru, or some other Zonai. Think like Xenoblade 2's Torna, Xenoblade 3's Future Redeemed, or BioShock 2's Minerva's Den.
There are so many small details about the Zonai and their culture that I'm just fascinated by and I'd love to know more about.
Especially with how the Zonai Ruins in Faron around Dracozu Lake link to the rest of the ruins in the sky. I think it was one of the researchers in Kakariko who said that the Faron surface ruins predate the ruins in the Sky? If true, then that would also place the labyrinths as before the Sky Island ruins, they have the same style as the Dracozu lake ruins. But that's kind of odd considering how it is said that the Zonai descended from the sky/heavens, although I guess not completely unreasonable.
It's known that The Great Sky Island and the twelve stone tablets originated from the surface and was risen into the sky after the Imprisoning War, so that at least makes sense to be built after the Faron Ruins in a vacuum I guess. But what of Thunderhead Isles? Dragonhead Island? Those share the same architectural style as the Great Sky Island all the other sky-based Zonai ruins but did those too originate from the surface? Were those islands lifted into the sky as well? If so, then when? Logically they had to have been built around the same time (same with the structures in the depths). They all have the exact same style and seemed to have aged similarly. So that would suggest that they did, but the actual layout of the isle's infrastructure make it clear that these were floating when Zonai lived on them. There are rails connecting islands, locations to ascend (which I'll talk about later), and platforms to launch Wings from.
And what of the barbarian's set? It makes reference to an "ancient tribe located in Faron". How does that fit? The red hair reminds me of the Hero's Aspect. Could this Hero be a member of this tribe? The Hero's Aspect Hero doesn't seem to be fully Zonai. They have shorter ears, a tail, red hair. But they're definitely linked to the Zonai somehow. They're covered in Zonai clothing and imagery. Plus you only get the Hero's Aspect after clearing all 152 Zonai-made shrines. (I just realized while typing this that their body paint is similar to the barbarian set. So there's definitely something there between the Hero's Aspect and the barbarian's set)
A dlc set during this time would be perfect for answering these questions, or at least perfect for giving us more information to generate ideas.
Back to the Thunderhead Isles, when exploring I noticed a bunch of spots that are clearly places that Ascend is meant to be utilized. I'm of the opinion that Ascend, Fuse, Ultrahand, and Autobuild were just common abilities that the Zonai possessed. It just makes sense to be a common thing given the many Zonai Device Dispensers around as well as, again, the many spots used for Ascend. Rauru also didn't make the abilities seem special at all, rather just as natural things that the arm should have, and the Construct Factory and how it operates revolve around ultrahand. Thus it makes the most sense that those four abilities would be relatively common among Zonai. Anyway, seeing those Ascend spots in Thunderhead Isles and Dragonhead island just makes me imagine the Zonai walking around these islands utilizing their abilities in normal everyday life; Ascending through the ground to reach higher levels of the island, using ultrahand to fix a damaged rail, etc. It would be really cool to see this "in person" in the game.
And how was Zonai civilization structured? Did they have a monarch? Were they a theocracy? Maybe, given their relationship to the gods.
I need to know, Nintendo. Give it to me. This would be such a good dlc.

1944 07 Thunderheads Over Ridgewell - Robert Taylor
In the early days of the USAAF daylight bombing campaign, before the arrival of long-range fighter escorts, rarely was a mission flown without Luftwaffe interception and the ever-present barrage of anti-aircraft fire. The Eighth Air Force crews literally fought their way through swarms of enemy fighters and thick flak to hit their targets, then fought their way home again. Seldom a formation returned without losses and casualties, but inexorably the American bomb groups struck deeper and deeper into enemy territory. Bomber crews lucky enough to survive a complete tour were few and far between. They knew this when they arrived in England at the start of their tour, and the awesome task they faced banded the flyers together like brothers. They flew and fought for each other, their country and liberty with determination and a camaraderie that only those who went through the experience could fully appreciate. In his tribute to the USAAF bomber crews, Robert Taylor has selected the 381st Bomb Group to represent, and pay tribute to all those who flew the perilous daylight raids out of bases in England into the heavily defended skies above enemy occupied Europe. Robert's emotive painting shows 381st Bomb Group B-17 Flying Fortresses returning to Ridgewell on a summer afternoon in 1944 during a period when the Group reached the peak of it effectiveness. For several months it was the top ranked outfit in the Eighth. Between June 1943 and the end of hostilities the 381st completed 297 combat missions, hit almost every important target in German hands and was credited with the destruction of 223 enemy aircraft. One aircraft, more than any other, came to symbolize the great bombing campaign of the USAAF in Europe during World War Two, and in his spectacular new painting Robert Taylor captures the magnificence of Boeing's legendary B-17 Flying Fortress. In his inimitable style the artist brings to life an exact wartime scene, a battle-damaged aircraft making apparent the fearsome task tackled daily by those who flew the hazardous missions to occupied Europe during the greatest air war ever fought.

Hey Naz, what have you experienced so far that absolutely terrified you the most?
(LWS4 content) Nastazya's gaze lowers, a small grimace as she recalls a key moment. "...When I thought Aurene and I had finally taken down Kralkatorrik at Thunderhead Peaks. All the struggle, gone, just silence. And then he got back up."
Her tail fur spikes up slightly, curling a slight. "I saw that dragon's open maw, the magic forming in its throat. After all my fighting, I was going to end up like my mother. A piece of crystal, forced to kill those I knew, my cubs weren't even in fahrar yet and they were about to lose me... For the first time, I'd crawled backwards in fear until I felt the rock wall behind me. I couldn't do a thing but watch in horror... Felt like my heart was going to burst."
She sighs. "And then Aurene got in front of me, saved me. Got branded herself, any fear I had then turned into despair. I am... Just so thankful that it wasn't her end after those months of despair."

Can't get over this
Tumblr media
This is a (rough) estimate of the path Miyani and Zommoros traveled ON FOOT when escaping from Elona.
For some sense of scale, that brown circle in the top left corner with a bright dot in the middle? That's Divinity's Reach, a whole god dagn city.
What with Zommoros being a fairly powerful djinn, it's difficult to know how much of the travel he was able to just magically skip. But we've seen how djinn move around via at least one escort, so they're obviously not on the same level as most mesmers in terms of teleportation. So maybe about a third of the travel time was reduced thanks to Zommoros' knowledge of sand portals, which are limited to the desert, and any speed boosting abilities he could offer (we can assume he's technically similar to an elementalist, just one that's only attuned to water.) So instead of the roughly 6 months it might have initially taken, it might have been reduced to 4.
For extra context, we know for sure that Miyani was heading east from Amnoon when she encountered Zommoros. We can assume that her goal was to get to the Temple of Kormir. Course we also know she eventually gets to Lion's Arch, so what path would be the best option?
Normally traveling by boat would be easiest in medieval-ish times, but you've got the Risen coming from Orr, so that's not an option in this case. There's a good chance Miyani didn't leave Amnoon with a mount, so the path of least resistance takes priority.
It's hard to know exactly how much of the mountains from the southern Shiverpeaks are impassable on foot, but for the sake of simplicity, let's assume that somewhere along the southern part there's a path people could travel through. Once they've reached Thunderhead Peaks it's quite easy in terms of guestimating where they might go.
Basically the entire path can be summarized as "they avoided any water with a known Risen population and didn't climb mountains as much as possible." Disclaimer we have no expertise on irl map geography stuff so feel free to offer insights.
