Three Towers, Torres del Paine National Park, Chili: The Three Towers (Tres Torres), These granite monoliths act as a symbol for the entire park. The first sight, at the end of the Ascencio Valley, is the Cordillera del Paine mountain range after which the park is named. This portion of the trek involves an 2,625 ft. climb to reach the mountains' base, the highest point of the trek. The mountain range’s highest peak is Cerro Paine Grande, which measures 9,022 feet in height. The most famous part is the three peaks, which are nicknamed the "Dragon’s Backbone" or "Cleopatra’s Needles."

Classics-Line Mini-Comics, a Summary and Explanation: Issue # 2: "He-Ro Unleashed"

The follow-up to "the Legend Begins". Unlike "the Legend Begins" this one is not a remake of a Vintage comic because no Vintage follow up to the 1987 "the Legend Begins" was ever made. This is all new content with a never-before-seen story! ...that picks up where the before-seen story leaves off.

Adam is still in the past and still in disguise as "the Stranger", and he's still going around doing good deeds and helping people until he finds what he came to the past to fine.

Here he is protecting a Gar settlement from a villain from the Preternia Era:

Note the Gar warriors are all dressed as Sy-Klone, cementing Sy-Klone as a Gar, not a human in this continuity.

Another important character in this continuity is Gar, so the mention of the Gar people (and their suffering) was not just some casual random encounter they threw in the demonstrate Adam's nobility (although it does also serve that purpose). The decision to include the Gar in the second issue of this run of the comics was planned.

Adam saving the Gar is the noble act that proves the good of his character and, after having been watching Adam from concealment for some time, Ro Littlegray (henceforth referred to as "He-Ro") reveals himself to Adam.

And the first thing He-Ro does is bring Adam to meet King Grayskull and the rest of the Masters of the Universe of their time.

Adam joins the Masters in their battles on two fronts against the Snakemen and the Horde. (And Skeletor is also there.)

During the battle, Hordak proudly brandishes the tablet containing the Spell of Separation.

It is not explicitly explained in the comic, this is one of the things the audience just has to know, but the Spell of Separation is the thing that broke up the Preternia Continent and divided the planet into the Light Hemisphere and the Dark Hemisphere.

Upon seeing the tablet of Separation, Adam decides that's the thing he came to the past to find. The Spell of Separation is the key to defeating the Snakemen in his present.

Then a bunch of climactic things happen in quick succession.

Adam sees Skeletor among the battle and charges off to grapple with his arch nemesis.

Hordak kills He-Ro; and Grayskull and He-Ro have a very tender and heartfelt "goodbye" scene as He-Ro laying dying in Grayskull's arms.

Grayskull uses He-Ro's power sword and goes berserk on Hordak and chops off Hordak's arm

Eldor begins to sink the Three Towers.

Hordak retreats, maimed and defeated.

After He-Ro's funeral, Teela uses the power of Central Tower that once again stands in her and Adam's present to open a time portal for Adam to return to her, now that he knows what they need to defeat the Snakemen (and their other enemies, although no one actually made mention of them).

Since this is a follow-up to the previous issue, hopefully it needs less of an explanation. I feel most of the things that need explaining are details that will be explained as the comics progress. But, the Classics-Line comics can also feel more like an "abridged" version of a much larger series.

According to a comic from the Vintage line, Hordak actually built Central Tower. Because of this, he claims ownership of it. Viper Tower is attached to Snake Mountain and under the control of the Snakemen. Grayskull Tower is next to Castle Grayskull and under the protection of the Green Goddess and King Grayskull. The Three Towers are supposed to balance all the positive and negative magic on Eternia. With Grayskull Tower being the pole for all the positive energies, Viper Tower the pole for all the negative energies, and Central Tower is the fulcrum between.

The Three Towers were sunk when Eldor decided that the pursuit of power was the source of all the wars on Eternia. This comic is the first time that event is actually depicted.

DP X DC crossover prompt

Sam and Tucker, thanks to living in Amity Park and being overshadowed and controlled by ghosts so many time, had become very liminal. Until an accident while trying to stop the newest ghost enemy led to the two of them becoming halfa’s. Sam’s ghost form looks like what she looked like during the whole Undergrowth thing. And Tucker’s ghost form looks like his King Tuck design.

After a reveal gone wrong, Danny, Sam, and Tucker flee Amity Park. The trio run away to Gotham, and using money Sam managed to snag from her account before they left, they buy a nice sized building right in the middle of Crime Alley. They decide to turn it into a bookshop and cafe. There’s a garden/greenhouse attached to the back end of the building where Sam grows all her plants and herbs. Tucker has his own tech room in the basement alongside Danny’s tiny lab space. They live together in the apartment above the bookshop/cafe.

One day while out on a walk, Danny stumbles across two tiny twin half formed baby ghost cores. They’re nothing more than tiny little balls of glowing light at the moment. Baby ghosts that are just starting to form but are nothing more than cores at the moment. But they seem to be slowly fading. Danny refuses to let them fade away into nothing. He scoops them up, infuses them with some of his ectoplasm to get them going, and then shoved them into his chest for safe keeping and so that they can be close to his own core which starts slowly feeding them energy.

Danny rushes back to the shop and drags Sam and Tucker to the upstairs apartment and shows him the baby ghost cores he’s found. The three all agree that they’re going to help these cores develop into actual ghosts. They switch off on who carry’s the ghost cores around. Some days it’s Danny. Some days it’s Tucker. And some days it’s Sam. Each of them feeding the cores a little bit of their ectoplasm to help them grow.

One of the cores feels distinctly female and has a purplish blue glow to it. The three start jokingly calling her violet. The other core has a distinctly male feel to it. It’s an orangish red and has a small crack along one side of it. Danny jokingly said one time how he (the baby core) kind of looked like Nemo’s egg at the beginning of Finding Nemo and ever since they’ve been calling him Nemo.

The two cores have been developing very slowly, both seemingly unable to absorb the needed ectoplasm, to form into full ghosts, quickly. The trio is fine with this, they can be patient, and wait to meet their twins.

Then one day there’s some kind of massive ghost attack. Maybe a cult or something attempted to summon the ghost king but messed up the summoning and accidentally summoned something else. The Justice League try and fight the thing, but they’re no match for this ghost monstrosity. And the JLD aren’t available to help for whatever reason. The trio decides to step in and help. They kick the crap out of the ghost pretty easily and send it back to the ghost zone. Then Danny, in his King Phantom garb (crown of fire, whispy white fire like hair, a regal looking version of his hazmat suit, the ring of rage on one finger, and a cape around his shoulders, the outside being pure white but the inside looking like the vastness of space) approaches the cult and rebukes them, telling them how even if they had managed to summon him he never would have helped them take over the world.

After that the trio become members of the Justice League. Thanks to some of Danny’s previous time travel shenanigans, and Danny being the ghost king, and Sam and Tucker his consorts/mates(?) the Justice League all think that the trio are ancient eldritch ghost gods.

And then one day when the trio are in the Watch Tower with the rest of the League their twin baby ghost cores come up. Maybe it was time to switch out who was carrying them, and mid meeting or lunch or whatever, Danny just reaches into his chest, pulls out two small glowing orbs. He cradles them close to his chest for a moment, looking at them lovingly, and whispering something soft to them in ghost speak. Then hands them over to Sam, who does the whole cradle them close and whisper softly in ghost speak before shoving them right into her chest.

They look up from this to see the whole League staring at them wide eyed and confused. Danny just casually explains that those are their children but they’re still forming so the trio needs to keep them close to their cores to help them grow, but they like to switch up everyday who carry’s them. Every member of the Justice League becomes super protective of the trio after this. They see it as the three essentially being pregnant (sort of), and they don’t always know which one of them is carrying the baby ghost. So best to just be protective of all three. The trio finds this kind of amusing and a touch bit sweet.

When the twin baby cores finally develop into actual baby ghosts, the two kind of look like a mixture between Danny, Sam, and Tucker’s ghost forms. Though Violet has dark purple hair and eyes and Nemo has bright orangish red hair and eyes.

Flash messes with time, in doing so Danny ends up in a bad position.Danny was totally by coincidence summoned to clockworks towers. He gets back to see His parents way are now way big mad scientist. Like on the leagues watch list mad scientist. Like villainous mad scientist. But the two do hide there identities shockingly well.

Danny in this never had his accident. So his parents had enlisted his rouges to help cause chaos and mayhem. The world is now constantly pestered by ghost from the zone.

Phantom does not exist. No one is friends with jazz or Danny out of fear.

Jazz is the one to realize something is wrong, followed by the parents who want to forcibly make Danny help them, even if it means breaking him. Jazz helps Danny escape.

Danny had it and knows it has to be flashes fault. Clockwork has told him stories about flash, mainly to make fun of him. But it has to be his fault.

Cue Danny dragging jazz along to go yell at flash for messing with time. Flash has no idea who Danny is (he was small time Danny had avoided them). Danny is not having it at all just screaming at him about his parents being crazy, none of his friends being his friends and blames him for the ghost problem now facing the world.

Classics-Line Mini-Comics, a Summary and Explanation: Issue # 1 "The Legend Begins"

This is the first issue of the Classic-Line comics, but the title is misleading. The story picks up in the middle of an on-going crisis with very little explanation and the assumption that the reader already just "knows" what's going on.

The title "the Legend Begins" does not refer to the beginning of He-Man, but instead the beginning of King Grayskull's legend.

The Classics-Line "the Legend Begins" is actually a retelling of an older Masters of the Universe mini-comic from the Vintage era of the franchise.

There are minor and inconsequential differences, but the main plot is the same:

He-Man must travel back in time and seek out the answers to his struggles in the present, in the past.

Specifically, our protagonists (He-Man, Teela, She-Ra, etc.) are losing ground on on the defensive against the multiple fronts of the Snakemen, the Horde, and Skeletor. The Sorceress is dead, Man-at-Arms has been transformed into a Snakeman, and our heroes are forced underground and living in caves.

Teela uses her newfound power as the New Sorceress in combination with the power of the newly risen Central Tower to send Adam back in time to the Preternia Era, the time of King Grayskull.

But Skeletor was also skulking around Central Tower (as one does) and saw Teela send Adam to the past. Before the portal closes, Skeletor sneaks through and follows Adam to the Preternia Era.

While in the past, Adam must disguise his identity to avoid causing a paradox.

Immediately after arriving in the past, Adam starts performing good deeds and saves a dinosaur that was being attacked by Snakemen. This dinosaur then becomes his steed for the reminder of time Adam is in the past.

Meanwhile, Skeletor looks up his ex-boyfriend former roommate, King Hiss.

Note how King Hiss makes mention of "the Unnamed One" on both. Even in 1987 Mattel had already planned for the concept that would eventually become Gorpo the Unnamed even back then.

The original Vintage version of this issue ends with the Sorceress (which is Teela-Na, not Teela in that version) telling Adam that he needs to find a wizard to help him.

The Classics-Line version of this comic ends with He-Ro (a wizard) helping Adam out then promptly vanishing.

Both endings set up for the next issue, but the 1987 issue never got a follow-up, while the 2012 version was just the first of a short run of comics that would be companion pieces for Mattel's 2010s collectors toy line.

Explanation:

The Classics-Line comics were packaged with Classics-Line action figures, which were marketed and priced for adults and toy collectors. The assumption was that the people buying the Classics-Line were the same children that had played with the toys in the 80s and were already familiar with Masters of the Universe characters and lore.

The audience was just supposed to already know what the Three Towers are, who Adam|He-Man, Teela, Skeletor, and King Hiss are, and so on. Any exposition given is the bare minimum and only when absolutely necessary.

I love that the Star (Marvel) Masters of the Universe comic showed Central Tower right next to the Royal Palace and the monorail running all the way from Snake Mountain to Castle Grayskull.
