1, Skydiving is near the top of my bucket list.

2. I don't like to wear shorts outside of going to bed or working out. 😂 Skirts, dresses, pants, capris, leggings, I'll take any of them over shorts.

3. I LOVE jewelry, but hardly ever wear bracelets or a watch. My job involves a lot of typing and, this sounds funny, I have small wrists, so they tend to dangle and hit the keyboard or desk. Just better to avoid it. ❤️

I think I'll post some facts about my not-so-gentle giant, Lug. The story is really focused on the others' arcs, so he hasn't gotten a whole lot of pagetime yet.

Because of all the power he needs to expend, Lug's battery stores way more energy everyone else's. That's why he gets so antsy when he hasn't been in combat for a while--if he doesn't expend that energy in a playful way, his code prompts him to get it out regardless of how much harm it might cause. Being gentle is actively painful for him since it goes against his programming, but he knows he has no choice sometimes.

His love for games, songs, animals, and nice textures comes from... well, that's a spoiler, but it represents someone's last remnants of innocent curiosity about the world. The Engineer was very unhappy with his Tank Unit acting so childishly. Couldn't seem to get rid of it, though.

He didn't learn his space shanties from just overhearing them. Someone taught them to him, a person who kept their friendship a secret.

I'm typing this out on a Sunday and scheduling it to post on Friday, so the last 7 people in my notifications won't be the same haha. Leaving an Open Tag, but also tagging some people under the cut:

The Skinwalker was inspired by a dream, rather than by a specific cryptid legend.

Igazinyoka was inspired in part by something weird that happened to me while visiting Chicago, and in part by by the legend of the Inkanyamba.

While researching american lampreys for Igazinyoka, I discovered a new phobia of faceless worm things with lots and lots of sharp teeth GG me.

I'm a writer and I mostly write in English instead of Finnish. English 'sounds' better in my head. I have a so-said forever original story HIDDEN (Mirrored Souls) where I have used many characters from movies and games (mostly). But the characters just look like them. I love good bodyswap stories, movies etc. But with stupid humor is a no no and too much of sex humor also is a no. There has to be good plot.

(I won't tag anyone, but I WILL jump at any chance to talk about my OCs.)

Fact 1. Samantha Chandler, my Ninjago OC, was my first ever original character. (Having been created when I was 12. I thank her for being my spark to continue creating characters.). She was originally an adopted daughter of Garmadon, taking his last name, but when she came back to the forefront of my thoughts... I changed it. She no longer has any ties to Garmadon other than also having Oni blood.

Fact 2. The majority of my characters were created to interact with canon characters. There are times where I may take that character and put them into their own unique universe, which will then split into their own story. But still, the beginning of all of my stories can be traced back to a fandom in some way. For example, I had a TMNT OC named Violet. But I loved her biology and look so much, I ended up plucking her from TMNT and creating an alien world with her at the head of creation. I kept her general look and personality, but her story is completely different now.

The only OC that I would never be able to remove from their fandom is One-shot, my Borderlands OC. She is way too integrated into the world and the characters within, she is only allowed to ever be in that universe. I won't even create another character who is too like her... She is my special queen.

Fact 3. I get too emotionally attached to my OCs. Even if they are created to just be a pop up character in one scene, I have to know EVERYTHING about them. And of course, the more I develop them, the more attached I become. All my OCs, no matter their importance to the overall plot, are my beloved children.

Alexis Dalliance started out life as a TTRPG character, and lasted ~10 years of IRL game-play, despite dying ~3 times, becoming a temporarily disembodied spirit, and spending some time as an owl.

She was supposed to be a traditional thief, but I kept rolling terribly when pickpocketing people. Apparently my dice wanted me to be a good guy ^.^; I settled for her backstory including being light-fingered off market stalls, not people.

When I, the player, was introduced to wargs, the GM did such a good job of describing their terrifying mien, he scared me enough that I felt compelled to weave that terror into Alexis's background.

You really get a sense that she feels strongly attached to xxc during the pre-empathy scenes #and that she has a strong sense of loyalty and perseverance with strong survival instinct #but then you see her before all the tragedy and you *immediately* learn she is a clever trickster! #She follows xxc not out of gratitude but out of a sense that this guy is her meal ticket. #xxc is kind and strong but most importantly *noble* #she can smell the self-sacrificing bright eyed hope on this stranger. She knows the mere fact she's a young blind girl means #he will protect her. The fact he gives her a little money doesn't hurt her justification but tbh she would have followed all the same #a-qing is *the* catgirl of all time actually. Follows you for the fact you provide food and shelter. Opportunistic. May grow to be loyal. #That's not even getting into the parallels here between these two characters and wwx (who is seeing these events play out) #the yi city trio are arguably the three split aspects of wwx: who he feels like (a-qing the opportunist) who he wants to be (xxc the noble) #and who he feels seen as (xy the vengeful). #one day I'll write a more robust analysis on that. prob in the tags though #(His a-qing parallels are also tied with the fact they both were street rat orphans who learned how to code-switch to be whoever #they need to be to feel safe. I have a lot more thoughts to share but augh another time...another time)
