Ragnarök Is Coming (Part One)

Kratos was grabbing the reigns of the sled that Speki and Svanna were trudging through in the snow, the great Spartan General has already made enemies within the nine realms; starting with Odin, Thor, and the rest of the Aesir -- for the death of Baldur.

Which? was Odin's favorite son, his closer. It wasn't gonna be an easy journey for the retired and esteemed God of War and his son; which told by prophecy, that he'll betray his father and go into servitude to Odin & to Asgard as it's prince.

The demigod would slide the sled into their protection stave, as he saw Atreus standing outside with the deer that they scavenged for along with the other kills that Kratos got for the two.

"Boy, I have returned with our hunt. Ready the fire. Then? We feast, and then to bed."

Atreus nodded in his father's direction, jotting what he said; as he was journaling about the events that transpired pre-Ragnarok.

"Yes, sir. Let me just go check on Fen and the wolves."

Atreus would make his rounds to Speki & Svanna's kennel to drop them off some juicy tendered venison that was gutted from the deer they captured on the way back to the stave.

"Eat up, Speki. Eat up Svanna. Gotta keep your strength."

Atreus would then head over to Fenrir, as the wolf was laying half livingly; as he plopped down aside to the wolf with it's body resting upon his lap.

actually i think one of the things i loved most about love and thunder was thor’s character journey and the healthy representation it is for young boys that are watching this movie. how thor shows that it’s okay to show emotions and to feel things even if it hurts. how thor fights alongside two women the entire movie and it seems like the greatest honor of his life. how thor outwardly loves and shares his feelings with jane and wants her to know how much he actually loves her instead of shying away from it. how thor showed that it’s a role of a lifetime to cook and clean and get your kid dressed and take care of them because that’s what a dad should be doing too. how thor didn’t clean off mjolnir after love put makeup on it despite being a traditionally feminine thing. how thor isn’t serious and closed off all of the time but silly and goofy and just wants to live life. he is such a positive role model for young boys growing up right now, and the movie even showed us that by showing how much the kids in new asgard admire him. idk it just makes me really soft and chris hemsworth truly should be very proud of what he has done to thor over the years and how he has become that role model for so many kids across the world. ily god of thunder

people who did not watch vikings s1 through 3 do Not understand the enormity of ragnar and athelstan, the viking earl who kidnapped the christian monk and the two of them spent the rest of their lives falling harder and harder in love with each other to the point that when the christian monk died the viking earl (now king) had the bishop of paris baptize him so they could be reunited in heaven and later tried to kill himself but didnt manage to and spent the followong 10 years away from everything and everyone and only came back to die at the hands of the other king who was psychosexually obsessed with the monk

I can’t stop thinking about the fight scene in the Shadow Realm. That scene ate so much up.

The black and white only ever briefly interrupted by the lightning from Stormbreaker, Mjolnir, and Thunderbolt. Gorr using EVERY BIT OF HIS POWER to fight three of the greatest warriors in the universe. His prior monologue which had me on the edge of my seat, terrified. THOR ODINSON. KING VALKYRIE.

Y/n looking around the common room, with all of the Avengers talking, playing board games, and watching movies.

They sigh in content, finally feeling relaxed and safe.

Sam: What are you so smiley about L/n?

Y/n hums: Just happy is all

The others glance around at each other and smile. Y/n had been pretty new. Coming from a bad background like most of them. This was the first time they said something like that.

Tony: I think this calls for an Avengers pile.

Y/n's eyes widen in horror.

Y/n: Dude, I said I was happy, not wanting death.

Thor: To late!

All of the Avengers pile onto the couch with Y/n effectively trapping them.

Y/n struggles and tries to get away.

Y/n: Guuuuuuysssss! Get offah me! This sucks!

Nat hums: Bull

The others murmur agreements.

Not too long after Y/n gives up and just lets it happen.

Y/n: ..... okay, maybe this is okay

Peter: I knew you loved us!

Y/n half asleep but still sarcastic as ever: Don't tell my teammates. It'll go to their heads.

They chuckle, and after a while, they all drift off to sleep.

It was a sight to see for Maria the next morning. The Earth's Mightest Heros and most skilled people in a giant pile on the couch happily sleeping.

i’m usually not a fan of the “love conquers all”trope ngl. i think it can be really corny, and writers frequently take it as an easy way out when they’ve written the good guy into an otherwise inescapable corner. but i really, really loved the way it was executed in thor: love and thunder. because “love” wasn’t some mystical and otherworldly force that vanquished the evil whether the villain liked it or not. love conquered all in the end because everyone chose love. thor chose his love for jane over what would have been a futile attempt to save his own life. gorr chose his love for his daughter over his hatred of the gods. jane and thor chose to love gorr’s daughter rather than hate her for who she descended from. love is a choice, not an unstoppable force, and yet it’s genuinely more powerful that way

I haven’t even seen it yet but Thor: Love & Thunder might be the most comic accurate marvel movie yet. you know why? because it’s ridiculous.

I will never shut up about the fact that comics are just…absolutely ridiculous! they’re colourful and weird and imaginative and so so random. your favourite character has almost definitely been gay and/or a woman at some point in time. and if they haven’t, they’ve at least slept with an alien. they are stories told through silly little drawings that have been adapted by hundreds of different authors and artists, each with their own interpretations and agendas. they are supposed to fun and unrealistic and weird as fuck, and their film adaptations should be too.

edit: I saw it. just as weird and random and colourful and fun and funny as I’d hoped. Valkyrie pls step on me
