Hemlock Abbey - 9 am
???: The wedding is going to be lovely!
???: I cannot thank you enough for the wedding planner you hired for us to plan the reception, ma'am
David: Yes, it was really nice of you, mama
Margaret: I'm glad you are happy. She did wonders with my wedding, and I'm pretty sure she'll know what to do with yours, honey
David: It's gonna be different, that's for sure!
Arthur: Of course it's gonna be different! There won't be a happy couple from the start!
???: Arthur! They're gonna hear you!
Arthur: Maybe they should!
Margaery: I wish aunt Bellie was here...
Arthur: She won't come, Margie
Margaery: I know... Once again, she and mama don't speak to each other
Arthur: And now we know why! I'm pretty sure she's against all this
Margaery: She must be... Just like papa. I just wish there was a way to stop all this... A miracle, perhaps
Margaret: Have you chosen a tiara for your wedding?
Louise: Not yet, but I do love the one you wore on your wedding, ma'am. It would be an honor if you allow me to wear it as well
Margaret: That tiara was a gift from my mother-in-law. It belong to Margaery now. But she may let you wear it for this special occasion
Louise: With all due respect, ma'am, if that tiara belonged to the Prince Consort's family, I don't think it would be wise to wear it on our wedding
Margaret: Why not, dear?
Louise: I- Well, I am aware of the fact that the Prince Consort is not happy with our engagement. I wouldn't like to upset him...
Margaret: You won't, Louise. Like I said it's up to Margaery if you can wear the tiara or not on your wedding day. And you shouldn't mind my husband, Louise
David: I told her already to ignore him... He's just upset because I don't do as he says anymore. I make my own decisions now
Margaret: He'll make peace with this, Davy... You just need to give him some time
David: I gave him enough time to digets it... He won't change his mind
Margaret: Lets hope he does, honey...
David: Whatever... I just need your support, not his
Margaret: And you'll always have my support. Both of you... And I'mm make sure nothing comes between you two anymore, you have my word!
Louise: Thank you, ma'am...
David: Thanks mama... Me and- Liv...
Louise: It's Louise, David...
David: No, I-
Olivia: Surprise!
Robert: Good morning, ma'am...
Margaret: Nice to see you, Rob...

I know the poll won't be done until another four days, but um
Is it okay if I ask some of y'all to be potential beta readers for the chapters I'm gonna write for the fic?
I'm not done writing the prologue, but once I'm done writing, proofreading, and editing, it'll be ready for beta reading 😭
(Context: This is for an Alisa Ortega/Nash Hawthorne dual POV fanfic written by me as a ‘what-if’ scenario if they had gotten together in the original Inheritance series.)

I will never understand why the author chose to have Avery end up with Jameson instead of Grayson. I just - the set-up? The angst? The trauma? I thought the first book set them up to be endgame but then the author completely pivoted?? And then Avery spent the third book thinking of and looking for Grayson while being in a relationship with Jameson. And Grayson, my baby, I’m sorry they didn’t even give you a chance?
It’s just - it feels like the reason why Avery is with Jameson and not Grayson isn’t because he is the best guy for her - it’s because Grayson won’t let himself even pursue her.
Well. At least it seems like The Grandest Game will be to The Inheritance Games what OUABH is to Caraval. Grayson is Jacks’ equivalent to the fans.

“I know that Jamie loves you.” Grayson looked at me the way you look at art in a glass case, like he wanted to reach out to touch me but couldn’t. “And I’ve seen the way that you look at him, the way the two of you are together. You’re in love with my brother, Avery.” He paused. “Tell me you’re not.”
Grayson Davenport Hawthorne on finally ending the love triangle debacle and breaking my fucking heart
