you know sometimes scarlet/violet really does just break my heart because as i sit here and rework a bunch of plot elements to write a story i'll be satisfied with, i can't help but think it genuinely was an ambitious plot they were going for, and it could have been so good!

the game just suffers in so many areas due to the company forcing them to keep the game on schedule even though it was being developed during the start of covid and u g h it just breaks my heart.

if they had just given the game an extra year or two of polish, i think it could have been a complete standout game, instead of just being another entry in the pokemon franchise's flop era :(
