In comes the continuation to that, with 2 anons deciding to venture out of the safe room. Lemanon, who while being guarded by Void and Medic, planned to spread the word of lemonade to Bobby, and anon Smith, who went out with Frankie, because although Frank believed Hoppy to be dead, Smith believed otherwise.
Things go downhill from there, Smith tries to check the "corpse", Hoppy wakes up screeching and squirming to two strangers (?? Unsure if she knew Frankie) above her (by then we didn't really know what Smith looked like, but it prolly felt threatening either way), and like, Frankie is mostly still ig, but the moment there is screaming Smith gets ready to strike. (Knowing that Bobby and Hoppy were together now, makes the situation far scarier for Hopster, because for them to be there, somehow they had to get through Bobs)
Now, this is the sight we're met with. Look at this million dollar smile! Isn't it full of terror? Girl is shaking like a leaf (the most movement those legs had in years lol), fearing for her life and she still goes ahead and asks for them to identify themselves and stay away from her. If she could use her legs, she would've ran away from there before Smith could even react.
(I don't know how Smith's “gloves'' actually work. Sure, they're supposed to be like the grabpack hands, but like, the grabpack had an entire mechanism where the green hand actually needed to get energy from somewhere to transfer it elsewhere and activate something, and that energy had a time-limit. And I guess that's what the power glove is? Except when he says he prepares to strike, and then disarms and takes off the glove, I don't know where the energy comes from, or where does it go, since things are happening very fast so the time-limit isn't over yet (if there's even a time-limit) maybe he'll go into detail later).

Starbula Week Day 4: Parents
*~*Headcanon/photo dump of my Starbula kid*~*
I meant to share this during @starbulaweek 2023, but grad school has been insane...so I'm just spreading out the fun to a few weeks later! 😂 Also, this is unbelievably long. Read if you dare lol.
Basically since May, soon after watching GOTG3, I've been developing a headcanon of Nebula and Peter having a daughter together. The idea that both of their stories - filled with so much loss, trauma, and sorrow - not only end with an unexpected and beautiful romance with each other, but with the chance to raise a happy, safe, and cherished little girl, breaking the cycle of trauma...literally destroys me. I love the idea so much, and headcanons about this Starbula daughter have infected my brain for half a year. I figured I'd share some of them, accompanied by some photos of what I think she'd look/act like, in (belated) honor of Starbula Week!
Early on, I decided Peter and Nebula would have a kid via surrogate. (Sorry Nebula...I can't imagine Thanos NOT sterilizing her during all of his modifications... 😩) They could either use an anonymous surrogate, or - imo more meaningfully - Mantis might offer to do it. Somehow this seems right to me; she's such a sensitive and loving person, and could see Peter and Nebula's unspoken desires to have a family of their own (and their inability to do so) and want to help. Maybe after Nebula/Peter have been together for a while, Mantis is visiting Knowhere in between her solo adventures and overhears Nebula mentioning that she's one of the last Luphomoids, since her planet was destroyed by Galactus. [I know this isn't MCU canon but I read that it happened in the comics so I'm taking it, lol.]
This gets Mantis' gears turning and basically one day, she proposes the idea of carrying a baby to Peter and Nebula. Mantis might say that she doesn't want to have a kid of her own, but she knows that her brother and Nebula would be amazing parents if they wanted to do so. And that she wanted to do this for them, if they were interested. Nebula and Peter immediately turn down the offer, but after thinking it over for a while, they realize Mantis is giving them an incredible gift and actually wants to do this for them - and that they really do want to have a kid, they just didn't think it was possible. So they accept. And a year later, they end up with a healthy, light-blue-skinned baby girl: Meredith Anthony Quill. Her name would honor the most important parental figures in both Nebula and Peter's lives 🥺
Shortly after creating this scenario, my brainworms continued imagining this little girl and what she might act and look like. While doing so, I kept coming back to Millie Bobby Brown. MBB was/is a delightful kid - plus she shaved her head a la Karen Gillan lol - so I started looking up pictures of her to see if I could spot a resemblance with Nebula or Peter.
That initial search turned up a clear answer (yes!) and snowballed into an absolute beast of a Google Slides slideshow, constantly evolving and filled with headcanons and photos of Meredith (aka Millie) from age 0 to 19. I've never done anything like this for a ship before, but something about a Starbula kid has completely taken over my brain and I've had so much fun imagining her (and Nebula/Peter as parents) over the past few months.
So, in belated honor of Starbula Week and this crazy ship that has had a chokehold on me for half a year, I chose some of my favorite photos to share a peek into Meredith Anthony Quill's life and personality over the years. Just imagine she has blue skin because I have no photoshop skills 🙃 Most of the pictures are self-explanatory, but I explain any relevant headcanons below. I also thought there was a 10-photo limit on Tumblr but I guess not.... But I'm very much done done combing through my photos, so this is officially Good Enough 😆
Age 0-10
Meredith has basically the happiest childhood ever - mostly spent on Knowhere, surrounded by her doting family (Rocket is also her godfather and spoils her rotten), visiting earth often for holidays and to visit her grandpa/Pepper and Morgan.
From the top middle/left photos, Meredith clearly loves singing from an early age. 🥲 And regarding her cute little braid in the top right - I'm sure Nebula ends up loving to do Meredith's hair, since she never had the opportunity to do anything fun with her own before it was removed 😭 (And idk who the baby in the bottom corner is - maybe a fellow tiny Knowhere resident, now that Knowhere has become a safe and happy society thanks to Nebula's leadership)
Age 11
Key life moment: At age 11, Meredith spends her first week at an earth summer camp, shaves her head, and makes a group of human best friends! (aka it's Stranger Things time 😆)
So Meredith has grown up loving earth, since she visits it often and has grown up on earth movies, music, etc. And since she also loves singing, dancing, and movies (courtesy of her dad), when she turns 11, she asks her parents if she can go to some overnight theater/arts summer camp in Missouri. (She probably got the idea from watching Parent Trap or Camp Rock when it was on TV at grandpa Jason's house.) Nebula and Peter agree, and decide to hide her blue skin with some illusion technology. That way, she can blend in as a human at camp and experience an authentic earth summer camp, without any anti-alien discrimination.
The night before she leaves for camp, probably sleeping over at her grandpa's house, Meredith starts to get anxious about this whole thing - since it will be her first time being away from her parents on a different planet. Maybe she's calling her best friend on Knowhere and, while on the phone, the girls decide the best thing would be to channel Meredith's badass, brave mom by shaving her head. Meredith does it on a whim, to her parents' (mostly Nebula's) horror when they find out that night - but the damage is already done.
Fortunately, Peter helps Nebula work through the PTSD this triggers from the memories of her own hair being shaved when she was around Meredith's age. Basically, Peter helps Nebula remember that Thanos is gone, their daughter just shaved her head because she's a semi-dumb kid, and her hair will grow back. And by the time camp rolls around the next day, Meredith is excited for camp 🥰
Aaaaand surprise! She has literally the best time at camp and almost immediately becomes good friends with Mike, Will, Lucas, and Dustin (aka the main kids from Stranger Things)! I'm guessing the other campers steer clear of her at first because they think she has cancer, but the Party includes her right away. Fortunately, there's no Upside Down in this universe - just a group of adorable nerdy boys from Hawkins Middle School (who joined this summer camp because their parents made them) and their half-Luphomoid girl friend (even though they don’t find out until the end of camp, probably in some dramatic revelation right before the final performance lol).
At the end of camp, Meredith and the Party promise to stay in touch, and they stay close friends through middle/high school and beyond. 🥺 She visits them whenever she’s on earth to see her grandpa or Pepper and Morgan, and takes them to Knowhere for sleepovers. In that vein, imagining Dustin's reaction to going into space is adorable and hilarious.
Also, maybe the top right picture of Meredith hugging the older man is her with grandpa Jason (I'm so emotional at the thought of him getting to be a grandpa to a little kid again, who *isn't* stolen from him this time) and the bottom left one of her and the woman is maybe Meredith with one of her cool aunts (Gamora, Mantis, or Pepper).
Age 12
Top left photo: Meredith loves all animals (omg there are so many photos of MBB holding animals 😂), probably due to growing up with Rocket and Cosmo. Nebula could be the woman cuddling with Meredith on the top left photo, or kissing her in the bottom right. Just imagine her with no hair and blue skin lol.
Also, I think Morgan is in the matching pajamas picture (bottom row). I love the idea that Meredith and Morgan consider each other cousins (since neither have blood-related ones), and that Meredith grew up idolizing Morgan 😭 I'm so emotional about Tony and Nebula's relationship, as I imagine he was the first person outside of Gamora to show Nebula kindness and that he welcomed her into his family post-Snap. So Nebula has known and loved Morgan her whole life, and now the cycle gets to continue with Morgan loving Meredith her whole life 😭😭😭
Age 13
Continuing the Stranger Things vibes, in Meredith's third year at summer camp, she and Mike get together (as a Byler shipper, I assume they break up shortly after lol - but I'm happy Meredith gets a cute middle school romance) and she and Max become close friends. Millie and Sadie's friendship on and off-screen in ST season 3 is incredibly sweet and I love that Meredith gets to have a human girl bff in addition to all the boys.
Age 13

And of course she has a Bowie shirt!!! I assume the Bowie is reserved for GOTG business, but Rocket lets Meredith fly it around sometimes, as their little secret 🥰

Bottom left pic: One Christmas, Aunt Mantis and Uncle Drax take Meredith hunting for festive lawn decor and tell her about that one time they kidnapped Kevin Bacon for a present...

Bottom left: Maybe grandpa Jason teaches Meredith to drive an earth car! I'm assuming he is quite old at this point and will probably die soon, but at least he gets some quality time teaching his great granddaughter to drive :')
Age 17
Top left corner: Okkkkkkk when I discovered that Millie and Lexie Rabe (Morgan Stark) did a movie together and have these adorable red carpet photos together, I just about died. Look at themmmmmm 😭😭😭😭 Tony and Nebula's little girls, together 😭😭😭
Also, the Enola Holmes photos in the bottom right corner are maybe from the same summer theater camp (since I assume she continues going every year), but a high school version of it, so the costumes and sets are nicer.
Age 18-19
And that brings us to today! After she turns 18, Meredith goes through some hair color experimentation, going from dark brown to blonde. And of course, I had to include the photos with MBB and Chris Pratt together over the years (?????!!!!!) on the bottom row. When I started this insane Meredith-headcanon journey, I had no idea they're actually doing a movie together - and am now stupidly excited for The Electric State and any promo Chris and Millie will hopefully do together for it next year 😍
I think 18-year-old Meredith decides to go to college on earth and become a vet or something, due to her love for animals. So she basically decides to permanently live on earth - though she has a ship, so she can easily travel around space whenever she wants. She dates Jake in college (MBB's actual fiance) but unlike Millie, she does not get engaged at age 19. 🙃 Sorry Millie lol.
And when Nebula and Peter eventually retire, they end up splitting their time between earth, Knowhere, and traveling around space. That's because Meredith eventually gets married and has some kids on earth, and I can't think of anything sweeter than an older Peter and Nebula getting to enjoy a chill retirement and being grandparents. Like omfg, I think it's truly the best. And something neither of them, especially Nebula, could have ever imagined during the first 30+ years of her life.

Soooooo there's my headcanon-dump about Meredith Anthony Quill! It has brought me so much joy over the past few months to imagine this funny, sweet, adorable part-human/Luphomoid's life and how much she means to so many people, both on Knowhere and on earth. She grows up surrounded by family who have all lost so much throughout their lives, who will never take her for granted and will cherish every moment with her. Meredith's very existence is a sign of hope, love, and resilience overcoming loss, tragedy, and evil in the end. I honestly find it so profound to think about. 🥺
Anyway, if you got this far, congrats 😂 and I hope these peeks into my headcanons have brought you a little joy, too!

supernatural s13e23 let the good times roll (w. andrew dabb)
well, carry on my wayward son has lost pretty all of its emotional punch that it once had for me back in the early seasons.
the moment we see sam in front of the corkboard and "the ice caps are melting" i felt like i was going to combust. what is this nonsense. our-earth 101 catching them up to speed even though we're just here to regroup and arm up before a showdown with michael? and how long was the apocalypse apocalypsing over there? longer than it would have without the boys to stop it in 2010 or whatever? mortifying. i fast forwarded. i don't need the spn cliffs notes on awful things here too
you want to hear some nonsense? i was sort of looking forward to yesterday's episode. i don't know why. well, it disabused me of that notion right quick.

in a way i wish pellegrino had a different role so i could like the character he's playing. i want to believe this thing with jack because he's just so good at being sincere and horrible. like, some fucking random play at getting jack on his side is making me cry??? because the idea of starting over and him actually leaving everyone alone is just so... i wish.

ok. i'm rewatching 911 and am in season 2 currently SO for reasons (aka i'm writing and why would i actually write the story when i can do weird research stuff instead). tommy timeline thoughts.
lou was 33-34 in 2018 when season 2 was being filmed/aired, portraying tommy in 2010 (hen begins) and 2005 (chimney begins). assuming the show is mostly present day at this point (lol) that would put tommy (if he was lou's age at the start) between 47-52 now. i guess with some fudging he could be like anywhere in the 42-50 range but any younger than that and his backstory wouldn't really make sense if he was in the 118 by 2005, had presumably gone through training, been at the firehouse for a while, and been in the army prior to all that. i think. i don't know how long "being in the army" takes.
ALSO facts i've picked back up on so far that i will probably want to reference at some point
chimney begins (2005) they reference tommy having a girlfriend (gerrard going "so when's your girlfriend coming to make us dinner" or something similar). also his favourite movie is love actually which i have never seen but it's adorable that he likes romcoms
hen begins (2010) they have the conversation about twilight and that other guy makes the joke about tommy being "team jacob" and he reacts with the jokey kiss instead of being weird about it. i am trying SO HARD not to read into the way he pauses for a second before reacting because there's no way they had this planned back then 😂
i haven't gotten back up to bobby begins again but that's when he leaves the 118, will add to this when i get there

In UK love island, there was a dumping last year where the couple voted least compatible by the public would have to decide between themselves of who would stay and who would go (or they could go together, obviously). I want to see that discussion between an MC and her partner where they're already falling in love and making that type of decision (and hopefully, deciding to leave together). I was thinking Bruno, Jake or Bobby would be good for this since they'd straight up tell her she's staying and they're going, but entirely the writer's choice as I'm curious about how this would go with all the characters, official LIs or not.
Okay, so the team really loved this ask, and it has given us plenty to talk about ... maybe more than we bargained for lol
So, we're doing a couple of different characters for this one, but Suzi had a great idea where we also go through the LI's and make a post about what they would do in this scenario. WHAT a night of talking this lead too 🤣

Jake - Insists she stays. If she insists he stay, he says, “Well then, I suppose we have reached an impasse.” With that, he takes her hand, and they will happily leave with her.
Levi - After much, much back and forth, there is still disagreement. The third most hotly debated Islander, the final verdict is: fuckboi. He's not leaving and when MC is out of the Villa, he's cracking on to Cherry.
Mason - "Well, I guess this is bye. I'll see you at the after party when I get out, yeah?"
Talia - unconditionally, they are going together. It barely needs discussed.
💜 SEASON TWO 💜
Bobby - All in agreement, he's going hand in hand with MC.
Gary - Sorry, lads, but Gary is staying. And MC is going to sit at home watching him cracking on with Lottie after she's left.
Henrik - He's offering himself up to go, allowing her to stay.
Ibrahim - You know it. You know it. Not a chance he would offer to leave. He doesn't hesitate to drop MC for Shannon, and doesn't hesitate to drop Shannon for Jo, and then doesn't hesitate to drop Jo for MC again. MC will be on that flight home first thing while he's cosying up to the next girl in line back at the Villa.
Lucas - If he liked her, he would go. Chivalrous and gentlemanly, if Lucas liked her, there would be no discussion, he would leave. He would gage her reaction as a test, if she were to follow him out, he would be ecstatic, but he wouldn't suggest it.
Noah - It's in agreement that Noah would go just to avoid having to make the choice between MC and Hope. If one girl left to go after him, he would see that as a sign to stay with her, especially if the other girl stayed behind in the Villa. However, he would be willing to wait for either of them on the outside, but mostly, this is about him avoiding having to make a choice at all. If he leaves, that choice is made for him.
Marisol - After everything, when Marisol decides that MC is the one she wants, she is sure, she is certain. If it came down to it, Marisol would walk out with MC. She wouldn't want to stay and she would be heartbroken if MC stayed, so it's a leaving together situation.
Bonus: Rocco - You're gone. You're gone. No discussion needed.
Arjun - This sweetheart would leave with MC.
Carl - Would offer to go.
Elijah - Would try and talk her into going.
Elisa - She would make the biggest case for herself to stay in existence.
Felix - Leaving together.
Jakub - Do you really think? Do you really think? This boy is staying, no ifs, ands, or buts.
Kassam - The second most hotly debated character here. We will say, in the off chance that MC has managed to bring him round, yes, this man would offer to go. He would not try to convince her to come with him, but would simply be content with letting her stay if that's what she wanted.
Bonus: Graham - Oh, yah, MC is leaving. This man is staying behind in the Villa.

AJ - Leaving with MC.
Bill - If he finds something he likes, he's treasuring it forever.
Camilo - Mamacita said that he's got the fuckboi energy. He would convince MC to leave and crack on with Iona without a doubt.
Harry - Absolutely livid at being put up, like an actual tantrum is happening with this kid. Would not leave.
Ciaran - Leaving hand in hand with her.
Tai - Like above, he's not going anywhere without her.
Yasmin - She would offer to go. She wouldn't want to be there without MC, and would never suggest staying in her place.
Lily - I mean, it's canon, right? It is canon that if she's on MC's route and can't be with her, she would rather go.
Rafi - Like Lily, canon that this guy would rather leave than be there without MC if on her route.

Angie - Leaving together.
Bruno - Hand in hand.
James - No doubts.
Najuma - No hesitation.

Youcef - He would walk. Like Lucas, he would view it as a test of his and MC's relationship. He's pretty insecure about his feelings for her/
Bonus: Kobi - Leaving with her. Yes, yes, I hear you - Lexi. He let her go, but the situation was vastly different, and if it had been one of the two of them offered up, he would offer to go, and you know Lexi would make him take it. BUT. If he was with MC, that's a whole different relationship, and he would be mostly likely to walk with her.
Bonus: Hazeem - He would leave with her if he liked her. He wouldn't think about it.
Bonus: Dylan - It doesn't need to be said.
Bonus: Kelly - She's walking with MC into the sunset, off to make some cakes for them.

Rewatching Good God, Y'All
Welcome to “But Does One Simply Drive an Impala into Mordor?: A Supernatural Rewatch Blog” with Lor and Mace!
Up today, s5e2: Good God, Y’All.
The boys are worried about Bobby, who has lost the use of his legs and won’t speak. Dean shows off an x-ray of their very pretty carved ribs just before Cas calls Sam to find out where they are because, oh right, the pretty ribs mean they’re hidden from *all* angels, even pocket angel. Cas reveals that he’s cut off from Heaven and thus can’t heal Bobby (who has something to say about that—yay! He’s talking!) because then they couldn’t save healing him for some more dramatic time later on. Cas wants Dean’s samulet because it supposedly glows hot in the presence of orcs God. Dean doesn’t want to give it up, but Cas Dom-Voices him into it. Rufus calls Bobby for help in a town overrun by demons. The boys go to check it out, running into Ellen and Jo, who are hunting together now. Seems like everyone in this town thinks everyone else is a demon. Turns out no one is. The first of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, War, has arrived, and he’s making different groups of townsfolk think the other groups are possessed. Sam and Dean each figure this out independently because they are both smarties. They cut War’s ring from his finger, vanquishing him and gaining a piece of jewelry that, huh, seems like maybe it might be important later. At the end of the episode, Dean confesses that he's not sure he can trust Sam anymore, and they decide to go their separate ways. Uh-huh.

same anon as before but thank u for the interesting response! and i’m sorry in advance for this long venting lol, but honestly i’m just really frustrated because i think fence could be as popular and mainstream as projects like check please or heartstopper if 1) there was good marketing for it, 2) if the releasing of the issues wasn’t so puzzling, and 3) if the storyline was progressing in a natural way.
rise makes no sense in context of the novels at all and im just? if they were going to have tie-in novels they should have been used to progress character and relationship development, not create an alternate world that’s never going to be addressed. even putting aside gross mischaracterization the novels literally cannot be canon so they’re just published for? no good reason i can see? they could have prequels (seiji and jesse or harvard and aiden pre-series) or been about the team bonding/getting better at fencing, or focused on side characters that won’t get as much focus in the comics (eugene! if he’s mostly being side-lined in the comics the novels could have been his time to shine instead of him being even more sidelined. or even bobby and dante or kally and tanner). there’s definitely a lot of characters in the comics and if it was getting overwhelming the novels could have picked up that slack but they didn’t so their purpose mystifies me — there was also clearly no reason to have nicholas and seiji as pov characters in those books because srb (and i do adore all srb’s other work so this is hard for me to say) was terrible at writing them. when she was good she was good (which makes me think if there had been more editing the novels could have been better) but when she was bad she was very very bad. since she was even worse at writing eugene i guess i should be glad eugene didn’t have a pov. but seriously if the novels were mainly just haiden it could have just been haiden pov.
idk i just used to love fence so much and always noticed there was never a huge following for it, which is okay because the small fence fandom is great!! but i’ve always thought it could have had a bigger audience. there is so much promise in the first issues of fence — kings row competing against exton, the revelation of the truth about nicholas, the reactions and results from that, character development for all the main characters, relationship development for nichoji & haiden, the team actually Becoming a team & the idea of seiji nicholas and eugene being the fencing team after aiden and harvard graduate. but i feel like we’re never going to see any of that. page time is spent on things that aren’t as important instead, and then it takes ages for the next issue/volume and like you said it doesn’t feel coherent or connected to the other issues anymore. it confuses me that all the edges in fence r being sanded down and that the interesting promises in it are constantly being put off.
i’m sorry for talking about this sm i have not been successful in getting anyone into fence irl 😭 i hadn’t read rise or the novels until this month and i reread vol 1-4 before i read the new stuff and it made me very nostalgic
Hi again! lmfao dude no need to ever apologize to me for vents about Fence because I am forever pontificating about it. I agree that Fence has (or, rather, had) the potential to be really popular to a wide audience and I think you hit the nail on the head. And so much of it is just such easy fixes--like putting any effort into marketing lol or when releasing the compiled issues as volumes, giving them all distinct covers and names would have been SO helpful. Reusing the issue covers for the volumes was a mistake (and again, that's something marketing should have been all over!!). and the storyline. oh man. yeah. that ship has sailed and I've had mental breakdowns about it--but if we'd stayed true to the original concept of Fence and BOOM and Pacat put more effort into reaching a wider audience, it could have been big. Another consideration here, of course, is the content-to-hiatus ratio, which loses a ton of fans, but I maintain that if BOOM had their shit together, they could have fixed that problem too! and it's so frustrating
GOD RIGHT??? The novels came in, ruined Fence, and then aren't even actually canon because they don't actually fit in the universe??? My theory is that since Pacat is a SRB superfan, he kind of let her go overboard and realized after the novels were published and he had to move his story forward post-Disarmed that he'd fucked up giving so much freedom to her. Because they called it canon--and he still says it's '80% canon' but it couldn't have happened. So the point of the novels was basically for Pacat to read fanfiction from his favorite author of his OCs--it did nothing positive for the story, the characters, the franchise, or the fans. and LITERALLY!!! I've always thought doing a prequel for the tie-ins made more sense. Like following the fencing team with Harvard, Aiden, Kally, and Tanner would have been so fun, or focusing on Kally and Tanner or Bobby and Dante would have been fun and would have left room for actual plot progression!! It was pure selfishness on the authors' part to do the novels how they did them. And if Pacat would father fangirl over SRB than write a meaningful story, that's his right, but it still bugs me that there was clearly no thought given to the consequences of the novels. So instead of dealing with them, we ignore them and pretend that they're still '80% canon' to make ourselves feel better for our oopsie. hahaaa I have nothing nice to say about SRB or her writing. I don't think she got anything right in Fence--except for hinting Eugesse, which you know she only did because she knew it was popular in the fandom and she wanted the hype and baited us with it lmfao But! I've always had issues with her even before she touched Fence--her blatant sexism in In Other Lands was disturbing to me when I read it (shaming and looking down on feminine traits isn't Woke or Revolutionary just because you assigned those traits to men in your "badass feminist society" and had all the women be grossly sexist and predatory) so it's not just me being an asshole because she ruined my favorite thing in the world <3 But I know she's very beloved among her fans and I'm sorry that she failed you in Fence when you love her other works so much. If there was one mercy from the novels, it was the lack of a Eugene POV even if it further proves he's not really part of the team/a main character...unfortunately that's a fair trade jkdfah
I always thought Fence deserved a bigger following than it ever got--and maybe having a bigger fanbase and more money being thrown at it would have helped BOOM commit to buying enough ahead to let Pacat and Jo actually work on it consistently and put out content more regularly. It really was setting itself up to be so fun and full of tropes the gays LOVE. i mean, sports 'manga' that's actually queer? All the fun tropes with rivals and 'becoming a team'? The classic character archetypes used smartly and effectively? I genuinely think it would have appealed to all the people who love Check Please and Heartstopper and Yuri on Ice. And it still does, I guess, but I feel like if Fence gets popular now, I'd be a bit sad to see all that love centered around a version of Fence I don't like (but that is pure selfishness lmfao I fully admit it). I just so love/d all the edges and conflicts in Fence and it's sad to see them sanded down in canon and resolved of screen.

The Sun was wrong about Hamille tho, they said they broke up in late July, and then a week later they had a story about Camille dating Alexander Skarsgard. In actuality, Harry and Camille broke up much earlier and stayed friends~ (I guess that’s what TBSL is about). She went to a couple of his shows after they broke up, so The Sun didn’t really add up that they were over until after his tour. Camille did date Alexander, but in May-June (the pics The Sun claimed confirmed the relationship were from May for instance). And by July Camille was very obviously dating Theo already, all her fan accounts knew about it, she wasn’t exactly subtle.
Like, yeah, they broke the story and made it official, but they’d BEEN broken up for like two months by the time they published that, EVERYONE had speculated with them breaking up, she had a new man and everything. And to top they were very slowpoke about Alex too (I remember Alexa Chung even unfollowed Camille when she dated Alex).
I don’t think Harry’s team sent anything about Camille (or about any of his relationships). I think The Sun just added stuff up.
The Sun doesn’t have an in with Harry. They’ve consistently been wrong about him. When he was with Taylor, they published stories about him dating Candice Swanepoel, who hadn’t been in the same continent as him in months. They continue to call Kiko Mizuhara his ex, even though she denied dating him twice and Bobby Berk even told the story of what happened, calling The Sun out. They speculated about Harry and Emily having an ongoing casual thing, which I really don’t think happened at all. They had an article about the recording of the Late Night Talking music video being “for the lead single of his third album,” and had a whole fluffy story about the directors and the concept, as if they knew anything when they clearly had no clue. They said his third album had been mainly recorded in London (nope! Mostly recorded in LA, with some in Oxford, and only a tiny bit in Angelic, in London). They claimed in September 2021 that his third album was “imminent” (I think 8 months later is not imminent… at all).
They recently had an article claiming he was renovating his house, joining two houses together, that he’d been staying at a hotel and that the whole thing might take up to two years. A couple of issues with that:
1. He’s not joining two houses together. The two houses are across the street from the white Hampstead house he’s owned since 2012. If he was joining those two houses together he wouldn’t need to stay in a hotel. He has… his usual house lol.
2. Not to mention that there was a tik tok posted a few months ago about Harry renovating his White House. It’s still up. It’s not the two houses The Sun mentions and the information was out months before The Sun posted it… wrongly.
3. How is he “holed up in his north London house” three weeks after they claim he’s “staying in a hotel because he’s renovating his house which might take two years”
Like… choose one narrative?
Also what the anon posted. Taylor was in London the 19th, so how did she “fly to London” if she’s been in London all along?
My friend said she thinks Taylor had a shoot at the hotel, and The Sun got a tip about her being there without Harry and ran with it.
Deuxmoi has a sighting of them together at the movies this past week. Whether that’s true or not, without pics idk! But the sighting was sent to deuxmoi prior to The Sun posting that, and it’s not like Harries have been sending fake sightings of them. this question made me kinda 🥹 idk why.
n e wayz - i look at ciwyw so fondly. still. every now and then, i’ll go back and read a chapter. i had so much fun writing that stupid story with my closest fandom friend at the time, hannah. and we worked so hard together in those early months when it was still all being planned. i was flying mostly solo on the end parts, but only because hannah had already done her end of the work, the heavy lifting - crafting the story. i just had to write out what we had come up with together. sure, i came up with filler bits on my own. but that story never would’ve been what it was without her and i wouldn’t have chosen anyone else. i love her sm still. we’re still friends.
you wanna hear something SO funny about my interests changing? right now as we speak, there are FOUR fully finished chapters of a bobby fic that were written in the last three months currently saved to my computer. whole new story, whole new MC. her name is shawn. i was writing that bitch literally just for baylee (john redporn) and hannah. i’ll finish it eventually but i’m taking my time lmao. hmu if you want them lol i’ll share idc. i haven’t played litg in YEARS. i just still love bobby himself that much. also hilariously it includes a partial villa rewrite when my last scandal was “shitting” on villa rewrites LMFAO.
but yeah genuinely i’m so goddamn proud of that story still. and i’m so proud of the numbers i achieved with it. when i meet new people and they eventually get to earn the lore of my fanfic glory days - i mention those numbers first. i’m woman enough to admit it. i won’t admit what fandom it was at first, but i sure as hell will tell them it’s second most popular to this day. and thank y’all again for that. and for keeping me there. it may be a micro fandom, but that accomplishment is one i’ll always be a lil proud of, even if it’s dumb.
sure, my writing has improved objectively. i’m sure i could do a better version today (ciwyw (presley’s version)) but i stand by that story. i will forever i think. i love bobby and i love liv and i love the world we built them. they were such a source of light for me during the darkest time of most of our lives.

So after several play throughs I’ve discovered the things about The Quarry that bug me the most and things I wish could have happened. Don’t get me wrong, I love the game for sure. It’s the only game of theirs I’ve really liked since Until Dawn. So don’t take this to mean I don’t like it.
First, the plot holes that bug me because they make no sense.
First...if the power has been cut why is it still conveniently working for certain things? Like...why does the camps PA system still have power? If it was never designed to contact anyone outside of the camp then it wouldn’t make sense for it to have any backups as it’s useless in an emergency anyway. Also...why are the freezers still functioning? Considering anyone locked inside who isn’t a were-wolf freezes to death that implies the freezer is still getting power which...why...and like yeah it would still be cold inside without power but I don’t think it would be cold enough to kill anyone if it hadn’t had power all night and it’s close enough to morning that Kaitlyn doesn’t even have long enough to transform if she’s infected. This is a minor thing mostly though because I guess the argument can still be made that Chris had backup power supplies for these things in the case of a power outage...I just feel it’s unlikely.
Second, and my biggest gripe really, why is it that Ryan is the only one who doesn’t gain immunity to were-wolf attack upon being infected? Regardless of whether he’s infected or not if he doesn’t shoot Chris, Chris will still kill him. At literally any other time in the game a character that’s been infected can’t be killed by a were-wolf. It would have been nice to have a true “everyone lives” ending but this makes that impossible because even if you save everyone else, Chris still has to die.
Third...if the Hackett’s designed the electrified cages specifically to hold Chris, Caleb, and Kaylee...then...why weren’t they in them? Why was Chris chained up in the attic and Caleb and Kaylee just...completely free? The argument can’t even be made that they needed the space for the councilors because the only reason they’d need to worry about were-wolves is Silas who they didn’t even know was in the area...and leaving everyone free would be a good way to draw Silas out anyway. Make it make sense. It would have made more sense to have Silas and Max be the only threats up until Nick turns and when Laura cuts the power opening the cages at which point Chris could have gone into the house and the others could attack the survivors at the Lodge.
Last...upon learning that they won’t cross water...why not just everyone get in a boat and sit out on the lake until morning. Seriously...you don’t have to swim...there were boats literally everywhere. Like Dylan touches on it at one point and Kailtin dismisses it like their only option had been to just swim in the lake and not sit in boats.
Beyond that there’s just some areas of the game that I wish hadn’t been so bottle necked in their choices. I think it would have been better to give the player the choice of who goes with Laura and who goes to the scrapyard instead of just telling you who goes where. Not just because I would have proffered more Dylan/Ryan lol but like if you send the wrong people to do certain jobs then that could have had other consequences. Like...can you imagine sending Dylan and Abi to the scrapyard? Or Kaitlyn with Laura? Heck...maybe let Jacob do something other then being naked and sad in the woods if you let him out of the cage by having Laura go alone and taking him with her.
I also would have loved if they hadn’t had Abi’s only chance of infection being from Kaylee so both she and Nick would be at the same point of infection at the same time. You kind of get a hint of it with the encounter with Bobby if you fail the QTE which is the only time you get to see her showing symptoms before she’s inevitably cured. It just would have been interesting to see a less uneven dynamic between Abi and Nick if you get Abi infected too. Have them both being equally over the top towards each other. Both transform in the same scene and then Nick doesn’t end up in the cage with Jacob because Abi would be there to attack the hunters when Nick gets caught in the trap.
Also, my inner jokester thinks it would have been hilarious if there was the actual option to have Jacob just...not break the van. Everyone just packs up and goes home. Game over lol

Good morning Alice!! Happy Hanukkah! I hope you are having a lovely holiday and a break from work? Do you guys put up a Christmas tree? I don't know if you watch The Goldbergs, but their Hanukkah episodes were always great, especially this last one.
I feel bad because I think I am one of the few that doesn't believe Buck will be in a coma or, honestly, even injured. But.. I do believe that when the next scare/injury does occur, it will be him. For various reasons but the main one was his initial problem was he felt like his life was stale. I picture him more going on a road trip or going home to visit Daniel's grave. We never got resolution really about that.
And in Eddie begins, we got the helicopter crash, his breakdown was when he realized they all had died. Buck Begins was the introduction of how Conor got him to LA but also the reason he was born. I just feel like we will have a pattern
In addition, I don't know if Eddie will be part of the journey, but I do believe he will be part of the resolution. Mostly because again patterns. Now we do need to see Eddie maybe date to see what he really needs in a partner. AKA Bucks journey last season. Again though it all serves the purpose to bring them together.
And now, just for fun, indulge me. I don't think this will happen, but can you imagine. While Buck is confronting his past. He runs into an old boyfriend and his husband! Bi Buck confirmed. At the same time, Chim is asking Eddie about his date. He's like she wasn't my type, I mean, women in general aren't my type anymore." Said all bashful like. Queer Eddie confirmed!! Then the finale is Eddie shyly being like Hey Buck want to go to dinner Friday night . Correcting Buck, he means just them and Buck a blushing yes, but the alarm rings, and at the scene, that's when Buck gets hurt . 2 cliffhangers for the price of one. I know it won't happen, but I can dream, lol.

Hi darling! Good morning to you! And thank you so much for the Hanukkah wishes! ^u^ But Hanukkah is actually the busiest time of the year at my job, so no rest for this shipper. And as you could probably figure out by now, we don't do anything related to Xmas. Thank you for the rec regarding The Goldbergs! I wasn't really familiar with this show. Should I watch it? Is it about a Jewish family? (it sounds like it, but one never knows for sure...)
You have nothing to feel bad about! Neither an injury, nor a coma are a certainty, and everyone's guess is equally as valid. TBH, having Buck resolve some things without an injury would be refreshing. But we are watching a firefighters show (with an added bit of police), so having injuries is a bit more "routine" than on other shows. So yeah, I do think the next serious injury would be Buck just in terms of how long it's been since his last one (we saw Hen and Chim in the hospital during 517, Bobby was in it during 414 and 516, Eddie had a whole arc that started with being shot in 413, but Buck has been free of serious injury since 303), and in giving it greater meaning, it makes sense to employ that injury precisely when he goes through a crisis around the sperm donor thing. But they def could surprise us all and give us a more original way for Buck to realize some stuff and get closure when it comes to the things he learned about Daniel and his parents in 405. I would welcome that!
I always try not to get too invested in any speculation, but either way, I def agree that Eddie is likely to be a part of the resolution. It is the natural parallel, but also, it very much feels like that's what they're building towards with the Buddie distance in 6a, and especially with moments like Eddie being annoyed and hanging up on the group call in 609 without ever talking on screen to Buck about what's going on...
LOL I do love that scenario, thank you for sharing it! XD A double cliffhanger would be some amazing angst. I think it is possible once 911 gets them to the point where there is nothing else standing in their way, so we finally have a moment where it seems like it all may be mutual and slotting into place, only for a physical danger to tear them apart... But TBH, our show so far has made it clear that it's less interested in this type of cliffhanger, so... we'll see. Everything is wait an dsee at this point.

Two men with commitment problems attempt a relationship. One of them is more of an intellectual type, while the other one is more of a jock, so it’s an unusual combination at the first glance, but I’d say it has its charms, too. Despite the characters seeming to come from two different worlds and not having many shared interests, somehow their relationship manages to hold up and for the most part I would say it was a fun ride.
I found the quirky main character of Bobby to be a refreshing touch to bring into a mostly generic atmosphere of a rom-com movie, although his grumpiness can get too intense at times. I think the actor embodied the character great - it seemed very natural on him, to be honest. On the other hand, Aaron (the jock guy) is more of a bland character, he doesn’t stick out too much, rather it seemed like he’s there mostly to emphasize the quirkiness of the main character, and in that way it worked good, but if you’re to look at Aaron as a separate character, then I guess he doesn’t make too much of a presence in my opinion (other than the fact that he’s smoking hot ofc, LOL). If I’m gonna be shallow here, I have to be honest and say I really liked the pairing of Aaron and his high school crush Josh because they just seemed to me like a very natural couple physically speaking.
On the downside, although there were some funny moments throughout the movie, it wasn’t as funny as I think it could’ve been based on the premise. I guess there can also be some political overtones found, especially since the main character is pretty opinionated about basically everything xD. Not too many downsides here for me, though. It’s not the greatest movie I watched, and I probably won’t remember it as anything too special, but it was okay for the most part and I'm always up for another gay rom-com. :D
