— Kageyama normally wears loose fitting clothes or athletic-style clothing. His favorite go to outfits tends to be a loose tee, some loose pants with an obnoxious Nike logo he swears are super cool but look like two garbage bags sewed together, and running shoes. Throw a hoodie in there for colder weather, even then he still manages to look good.

— He takes very good care of his hair, like freaky good care, because of Miwa. Once she enrolled in cosmetology school and she saw Kageyama use the same baby shampoo from when they were kids she freaked out (if she’d been any later he’d start using 3-in-1) and chewed his ear off about hair care. His hair is super shiny and there’s literally no freeze, he uses nice smelling shampoo and conditioner too. Ugh, I love him.

— He has a very sensitive nose but it gets clogged easily so he doesn’t notice much unless it miraculously unclogs itself and he’s complaining about everything.

— “Eh! Hinata, why’d you smell like a fucking axe bottle?!” “Why does no one say anything about Tsukishima smelling like strawberries?” “Yamaguchi smells like... milk.” “Hah?! Sugawara smells bad-?!”

— He says he’s a picky eater to appear cool but as long as you don’t say what’s in the food he’ll down it. He’ll say he doesn’t like carrots but if you give him a salad with carrots he might even say “it’s the best salad he’s ever had”.

— He’s a hot sleeper, and not in the “oh he’s sexy” type of way. I’m talking, he’ll sweat buckets if he sleeps with anything other than a flimsy white t-shirt and his underwear.

— Might be me projecting my love for bunny teeth but he has bunny teeth, his front teeth are a bit bigger than average (not to the point it’s super noticeable but it’s still something Miwa teased him about), his aunties probably squeezed his cheeks and called him “baby bunny” when he was younger.

— His sister forced him to let her cut and style his hair which led to many questionable hairstyles. Tsukishima is genuinely so grateful to Miwa, especially when she was first starting - he’s got some pictures of Tobio with the shortest most embarrassing bangs ever saved in his phone in a file for blackmail if the need for it ever presented itself.

— Likes pissing people off on purpose sometimes, during one of the training camps he probably walked into the bath with socks on and was made fun of but out of spite he just… never took them off. Said he’d done it on purpose and all too. Tanaka cried out of fear for like a hot minute when he saw him standing under the shower with Iron Man socks on.

— He’s so petty too, if you make fun of him for messing up he’ll remember until you embarrass yourself to make fun of you. And when I say he remembers, I mean it - he can’t for his life remember when to use make and do in english but he remembers when Hinata made fun of him for wearing different socks back on their first year and yes he will bring it up on their second year when he did the same thing what are you going to do about it?

— Probably got scouted for a modeling agency once and began running away because he thought they were trying to kidnap him.

— If he had Tiktok… he would’ve gone viral after posting a video of him practicing, he posted for a while for fun and to flex on people that he was hot but then he saw a comment saying they wanted to drink his milk under a video of him drinking milk and he deleted his account, he can’t buy from that brand for a while.

— He’s got a video of a gorilla walking in two legs saved on his phone for when he’s feeling down and watches it whenever he’s not going well. People think he’s texting his S/O but no, he’s just watching a gorilla walk like minecraft Steve.

— He can’t pose for pictures to save his life, his default pose is an NPC stance with his arms stiffly hanging down and his eyes wide in surprise, don’t ask him to smile or else he will look like a serial killer.

— He’s got a bit of baby fat on his cheeks that won’t disappear no matter what. It’s become a pre-game ritual to pinch his cheeks. He’s also got dimples you can really only see when he smiles naturally but he doesn’t know and he’d get shy if he knew and try covering his face so don’t tell him, that’s a fact he told me so himself.

— Cannot dance to save his life. He’s so long (?) his limb control is non-existent, it appears in game and vanishes when he steps out of the court. He really just bounces on his heels and moves his arms like a t-rex, don’t ask more of him.

— Buys his clothes one size bigger just in case and Miwa teases him saying he’ll need them when he gets old and fat.

— Gets asked out often but always rejects, then has the audacity to complain he’s never dated anyone like he hasn’t turned down half of the school's population.

— Can’t sing. He’s got a nice speaking voice but ask him to sing and he’s out of tone, out of sync, out of breath, and out of the room in 5 seconds.

— Sugawara joked about having him singing as his alarm clock and Kageyama actually believed him, probably sent him a new recording as a gift after he annoyed him during practice.

— Surprisingly funny when he wants to but most jokes fly over people’s heads since he seems so serious most of the time, it annoys him to no end. Yachi still struggles differentiating when he is and isn’t joking because his tone literally doesn’t change at all and she doesn’t want to offend him.

— When he was younger he liked to collect rocks, not even the pretty ones he’d pick the most average, raggedy rocks off the ground and clean them up and tuck them to bed because he saw Miwa play with her barbies like that. Still owns his first rock, he named it “Johnson” after Dwayne Johnson, aka the rock (he’s had to explain it so many times he’s exhausted).

— Accidentally drank expired milk once and didn’t notice until his stomach began hurting and he thought he became lactose intolerant and he was inconsolable for days until he realized it had expired like a month ago - he went on a milk shopping spree and the milk sales that week saw a 20% rise from the last few months.

— Tobio had bad handwriting until he was in Junior High because his teachers couldn’t understand him and had him practice calligraphy, his handwriting is now one of the prettiest ones in the team and he’s the official inker of the VBC posters (as designated by Goddess Yachi Hitoka herself).

— His biggest fear for a long time was getting eaten by piranhas because he saw it happen so often in cartoon shows he genuinely thought it was going to be a bigger deal than it turned out to be but for like a solid 6 years of his life he avoided suspicions puddles just in case.

— Kageyama has a habit of rolling and unrolling his sleeves when he’s deep in thought, it soon made way to a habit of checking his wrist watch (he absolutely has a wrist watch, you cannot change my mind on that) but not actually reading it.

— His nails are very pretty, like most setters, he takes very good care of them. They’re filed down to a perfect length and he puts oils and creams, his hands in general are so nice. He takes a lot of pride in them, you know his cuticles are pushed back and trimmed and he could absolutely be a hand model. Kags’ hands are calloused, he’s a volleyball player of course they are, but it’s not to the extent of Ushijima or Daichi’s hands.

— Talking about hands, it’s probably one of his favorite features on people. He loves holding hands with his S/O and tracing the wrinkles in their palm, being able to interlock fingers with them and feel the bumps in them.

— Mumbles to himself when in thought too! Very nonsensical if you’re not informed on what he’s thinking about, if he’s thinking about you he’ll mumble your name or something like “pretty eyes”.

— Has a very healthy diet, like extremely healthy and thought out. He won’t eat anything too sugary or that could throw off his body, but he does have cheat days (which are rare but exist). He also doesn’t drink much soda or alcohol (once he’s of age).

— Things like smoking are a big no, he takes so much care of his body he wouldn’t even touch a cigarette or be near a smoking area, lowkey paranoid of ingesting the smoke too.

— When he’s older I can see him having a dog and a cat, the dog would be a big dog; if they stood on two paws it’d be the same height as you, he’d name or something like Tobias and think he was super clever and funny, the cat would probably a small cat he’d name Milk (it probably would be a black cat too but he does not care).

— Probably tried baby formula because he heard it was a substitute for breast milk. No further comments on this.

— I feel like he doesn’t listen to music, but if he had to choose something he’d pick instrumental music - not orchestral music or anything like that - but more of a chill, no deep meaning just guitar and piano track. I could see him listening to Shego Sekito or Joe Hisashi on occasion, he might even listen to some 2000’s pop if he wants something to pump him up during training (he works out to Brittney Spears’ “Womanizer”).

— A cuddle-bug when he’s sleepy, he’ll throw himself across his S/O and not move at all, he just wants to stay there and not move ever again (or at least until he’s not feeling like passing out). He’ll like to wrap himself around them and cuddle their neck, he’ll attach himself to their arm like it’s a lifeline.

On vacation in Rio, you get ditched by your “friends”. With nothing better to do, you watch the local beach volleyball tournament, and catch the eye of the best player there…

Hey, we went out to the club~ See you later tonight maybe? We might need a ride to the hotel!

“Fuck,” you groaned as you read the text that popped up on your phone. “Who goes clubbing at 11 am?” 

You had come on this trip with girls from school who thought you were your friends, but they had ditched you to go clubbing multiple times throughout the week.  Not wanting to babysit a bunch of drunk girls, you decided to ignore their text and explore the city.

It was another hot day in Rio, the beach was crowded of course, but you enjoyed people watching. Your eyes scanned the horizon before falling on a large crowd. Huh, beach volleyball? You watched as the crowd erupted in cheers. Curious, you made your way over to the commotion. 

The star of the show was a tan, orange haired boy. He was fast, even in the sand, and could both set and spike almost flawlessly. You were awestruck by his passion for the sport. He and his partner won that set, furthering in the competition. You stayed to watch the next game, unable to take your eyes off him. 

“Another win for Hinata Shoyo,” The announcer boomed as the crowd cheered loudly. Someone started chanting “Ninja! Shoyo! Ninja! Shoyo” which caught on quickly. Hinata beamed at the praise, waving his hands and bowing. He must be a local, you thought before locking eyes with him through the crowd. He shot you a huge smile and thumbs up, and just like that, you fell under the Shoyo love spell.

You stuck around for the remainder of the competition. Watching Hinata dominate the court was addicting. You loved seeing his smile when the crowd cheered for him. Entranced by the talented player, you didn’t realize you had 4 missed calls from your friends.

Walking away from the tournament, you called your friend back only to receive a drunken earful about how you needed to come pick them up. Begrudgingly, you left the beach. After an hour of trying to wrangle up the drunken group safely back to your hotel, you headed back to the beach.

“There's still a while before sunset,”  you mumbled to yourself, “I hope I didn’t miss the end of the competition.” But to your dismay, there was no longer a crowd, just a few groups playing around on the courts. You sighed, sad that you wouldn’t be getting another glimpse of the majestic Shoyo.

“Oh! There you are!” You heard an enthusiastic voice call out from behind you. Turning around, your heart fluttered as you saw the orange haired boy running towards you. 

“Hi! I’m Hinata Shoyo! I saw you in the crowd today, thanks for cheering me on!” He beamed at you, smile as bright as the sun.

“H-Hi I’m y/n.” You stuttered, surprised that he recognized you.

“Aah! Y/n! Are you here on vacation?” 

You explained your situation to an empathetic Hinata. He knew how lonely this city could be when you’re on your own. He took you for a walk down the beach as he listened to you vent about your ‘friends’.

“Well, if you want, I can show you around! I know all the best spots in town!” 

You smiled at him, “It’s okay! You really don’t have to just becau-”

“But I want to...” Hinata interrupted, “So let’s go, yeah?” He grabbed you by the hand, leading you to the best date of your life.

Everywhere Hinata took you, the locals were calling out to him, asking about his day and offering fruits or drinks. He had friends in every part of the city, even the stray dogs and cats adored him. He bought you your favorite ice cream, fresh from the local paleteria. 

Shoyo had so many stories about his volleyball antics, things that happened during his delivery job, and just daily life, that you were convinced he was the most interesting person in the world. The way his eyes lit up when he remembered something funny or talked about his friends back in Japan was enamoring. I could listen to him for hours… you mused.

“Oh! It’s almost sunset, I know a really nice spot overlooking the ocean, if we hurry we can make it in time!” Hinata exclaimed, grabbing you by the hand again.He took you to a secluded hill with a panoramic view of the entire coastline.

“Hinata, will you take a picture of me please? I want to remember this view.” 

He took your phone as you posed with the sunset in the background. After taking a few pictures, you noticed him struggling to focus on the camera.

“Is something wrong?” You asked.

“N-No, I’m just having a hard time since the view is so beautiful…”

“Yes! I’ve never seen a sunset like this!”

“No,” Hinata looked up at you, “You’re the most beautiful view.”

As much as you wanted to giggle at the cheesy line, Hinata said it with so much genuine sincerity you couldn’t help but blush. He stood next to you, handing your phone back, also blushing deeply.

“W-Was that too much?” He stuttered nervously.

“Not at all,” You put a hand on his cheek, “It was really sweet...you’re really sweet. No one’s ever shown me such a fun day..” You felt Hinata’s breath hitch as you leaned in closer. 

“Shoyo, can I kiss you?” 

“You can do anything you want to me, y/n.”

With that, your lips gently pressed onto his. He tasted faintly of strawberries from the ice cream he had earlier. You felt Hinata’s hands slowly grasp your waist. Not wanting the moment to end, you deepened the kiss, slowly moving your lips in rhythm with his. You loved how he smelled like the faintest hint of sunscreen and sea breeze. 

Hinata squeezed your hips as you opened your eyes slightly just to look at the precious boy. His long lashes fluttered as you kissed him. He looks so cute even with his eyes closed. You put your arms around his neck, pulling him closer to you. The slightest gasp left your mouth as you felt his growing hard on press up against your stomach.

He finally got the door open and gently pulled you inside, pushing you up against the door after closing it.

“Hinata! OH! UH S-Sorry!” You hear a new voice yell as the silhouette of another man runs away.

You learned that the man was Pedro, Hinata’s roommate for the duration of his stay in Brazil. “Pedro! Take your studies more seriously!” Hinata chided. His roommate just waved him off and left towards his side of the apartment.

My curiosity got me, so here is my submission for a match up.  Sorry it’s so long!  I look forward to seeing your reasoning.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:

MOM FRIEND:  I’m the friend that is almost over prepared for any situation and is protective, usually keeping others out of too much trouble or danger, but not stopping them from doing that stupid thing.  Some people will only learn from doing it and so long as it won’t seriously injure or kill them, go for it.  And I mean I am seriously prepared for most situations:  I have fluffy throw blankets and pillows in my car for those who get cold, extra towels just in case we somehow get wet, umbrellas/ponchos for those who need one, snacks/water just in case someone gets hungry/thirsty, first aid kit for small injuries, etc. Ironically, I am the only one without a kid so far.  

Extension of this would be my habit to act as the friend “nurse.”  Willing to spend hours taking care of a friend who isn’t feeling well and give platonic cuddles if needed.

Another extension of this is my need to feed anyone who comes over.  I think my love language is acts of service after typing all this. 

I’M LISTENING:  Always willing to offer an ear, even if I don’t believe I can council you.  Plus, for some reason, people just end up splurging life stories or something that is bothering them to me.  My life is mostly spent as that Naruto meme: “I have no clue what is going on, but I’ll pretend that I do.”  But I’m responsible about it, I won’t offer advice I’m not sure about and will usually refer you to someone else I feel is up to the task.

I am told I am terrifying when I’m actually pissed.  Most times I don’t remember much when I actually snap, just that it happened, but details are fuzzy.  

CHILL:  My counselor once told me if I “Was any more laid back, I’d be on her floor.” And to a point, she is correct.  My house was on fire and my reaction wasn’t panic at the time, it was this odd calm that even when I reported the fire to my sister and authorities, they didn’t believe me until I showed them said fire.  I am reserved with those I don’t know well or are not comfortable around.  Once I trust you or you get me on a topic I love, I’m surprisingly passionate and animated.  

I feel this fits under here, but I also tend to do things at my own pace.  And not much can change that pace, but I will get what I set out to do done.

WHY ME?:  Too many people tell me I’m a natural leader, even got awards for it, but I never volunteer or want to be the leader in anything.  Usually, I just end up in that role somehow, some way.  Most times because I hate disorganized messes and those times the people I am with have trouble making concrete decisions and need some guidance to work out what they really want to do or the pressure to actually make a decision.  I may be an unwilling leader, but I will step up if needed.

WHIMSICAL:  Sarcasm, dry and sometimes cheesy humour, and an attitude to boot, but it’s rarely to be mean.  Most times it is me being playful and if I’m teasing you, that usually is a sign I like you and enjoy your company.  Plus, sometimes people need a little laugh or a spark of different emotion to get them out of a funk.  

INTEGRITY:  I could absolutely despise someone, but like hell I’m going watch them suffer.  In the same sense, if I take a job, I will do it right and not half ass it.  And far too many times I’ve had to step in and explain certain concepts in order to disperse negativity or help others see from another perspective to avoid adversity.  

CUDDLE BUG:  With people I am comfortable with, I am a cuddly person and do not mind a lot of skinship.  I am used to friends hanging all over me.  Plus, sometimes I just want to curl up someone as well.  

  STRENGTHS:

Full Size Human Heater.  I am ridiculously warm and always putting off heat.  Friends and coworkers alike use me as a portable heater.

Surprisingly good at being sly and collecting information if needed, like getting a shoe or ring size without tipping the person off it’s for a gift.  If they manage to call it, I always fess up and playfully make a fuss they ruined the surprise.

  WEAKNESSES:  

Terrible at lying, so I tend to simply keep my mouth shut instead

Willfully oblivious to flirting and absolute flustered mess once I am forced to recognize said flirting

Tendency to keep my troubles to myself and try to solve problems on my own (don’t want to be a burden)

  HOBBIES:

ART:  I’ve dabbled in several different medias, but my favorite is just a pencil or pen and any paper I can get my hands on.  I love drawing figures in dynamic poses.  Second favorite is sculptures built from wire.

COSTUMES:  I love Halloween, since it is the perfect excuse to make and wear my homemade costumes.  It also lets me challenge myself by making more complicated pieces like hooves, horns, and even chain mail.

BAKING/COOKING/CANDY MAKING:  I’m the cook in the house and I love it.  Seeing people enjoy my food is my favorite part.  Just don’t ask me for a recipe, I literally don’t have any and I won’t remember what I did.  

ORGANIZING/CLEANING:  I love puzzle games like Tetris and Catherine, and I love a challenge.  Combine the two by having me organize and rearrange a space to make it work and I am in heaven.

STORYTELLING:  When a story needs to be told, I am the one asked to tell it. Specifically I have such an entertaining way of telling it according to others.  Animated and colorful language, plus a few pit stops along the way with some side stories.  

  PET PEEVES:

CONTRARY:  Do not tell me to do something while I am doing it.  That will kill any motivation I had to do it.

BACKHANDED COMPLIMENTS:  It is possible to compliment someone without insulting them or others at the same time.  It just makes the compliment feel empty and negative.  And I tend to just hum and not reward that behaviour.  

TOO MUCH ATTENTION:  I don’t mind attention… from people I trust and are comfortable with.  Feel free to cuddle and coddle away.  But vast amounts of attention from those I feel are strangers or acquaintances will unnerve me (I have literally left functions immediately  where I walked in and was bombarded with shouts and attention aimed at me-sensory overload I guess).

  ODD HABITS:

NESTING:  No, I don’t think I have enough blankets and pillows.  Yes, the giant stuffed animal is needed and his name is Snuffie.  

CRUSH ME:  I’m serious, some days I need one of my friends or my bf to just lay all their dead weight on top of me.  It’s just oddly therapeutic.

NO, I’M NOT PREGNANT:  Just cause I ate that jar of olives in one sitting or suddenly was craving jalapeno juice and crushed ramen noodles.  There are never enough pickles and yes, I am determined to try every kind–I may have a vinegar addiction.

IRONY:  I bake some of the tastiest, sweetest desserts and make pralines and caramels, YET I myself do not favor sweet things. 

HANDS:  One thing I tended to do with nearly every boyfriend and guy friend I had was play with their hands and put their hands on my face/head.  I lived for being pet and having people play with my hair.    

NONVERBAL MOMENTS:  Sometimes words are just too much, so I instead make sounds.  Can be anywhere from a growl to a cat like noise, or the reliable “Nyeh.”

NO NOs:

I think I listed a few as I went through everything else, but ignoring boundaries is the main one.  If I tell you I’m not comfortable with something, do not make me repeat myself.  And usually that something is given a pass the first few times it is done before I say something and explain why I’m not comfortable with it.   

Example:  I have thick, curly hair, a product of my mixed heritage.  Well, sometimes I like to straighten it and I did just that one day.  Well, a coworker decided to make a backhanded compliment, stating I should stick to what works: straight hair over my natural hair.  I had gotten on him about it, but I decided to vent to a friend about what happened as well.  She proceeded to constantly repeat those hurtful words and while I knew she meant it playfully during those times, I had to stop her and sit her down, explain I don’t find it funny cause the words are linked to a hurtful, possibly racist memory that I didn’t want brought up again and again.   Thankfully she understood and stopped.  So, I don’t snap immediately and I understand sometimes a sit down needs to be done.

Ok first of all I gotta say that I absolutely loved reading your matchup!!! It’s so well organized, detailed, and the descriptions are pretty creative!!! Do you do any writing yourself, because you should!!! alright, geek out moment over.

Any funny story you give about your time together will be rewarded by star with a funny story from his and honey’s childhood, much to honey’s embarrassment

if you don't really like sweet things but love baking them, then honey and star will happily finish them for you. People are usually surprised about how just how much skeleton monsters can pack away.

A Devil’s Smile (Vegeta x OC)

Chapter 1

Here’s my first shot at a DBZ fanfic- obviously not canon. I haven’t written literally anything for fun since I was in early high school, so I’m sure I’m a little rusty. However, I hope some of those on Tumblr like it! I’m planning to make it a multi-chapter fic, but we’ll see!

Summary: Vegeta goes out with friends to a bar and finds interest (to his denial) in a girl that is performing that night. Milla, the girl performing, has a fearless, outspoken personality and a good sense of humor. Despite finding her attractive, Vegeta takes insult to her frankness and labels her as unpleasant. Regardless, he can’t fight his strange interest in her.

“Fuck, keep it going!” Milla exclaimed with one hand on her drink, the other on her microphone stand. “Y’all are one hell of a crowd.”

The sound of people whooping and hollering after the end of the song echoed through the small, dimly lit bar. Milla grinned and crinkled her nose with excitement. She was truly in her element.

She set her drink on the floor beside her and swiped her thick, dark brown hair behind her ear. It shone with highlights of red under the bright stage lights.

“This next one is a long time favorite,” Milla said. She leaned against a tall, wooden barstool with one tall Doc Marten on the stage and the other on the foot rest. “Go ahead, Joey.” She nodded towards her drum player and he kicked off the first few beats to ‘The Seed’ by The Roots. Milla closed her eyes with her head back and swayed to the music, tapping her heavy boot to the rhythm of the drums. Meanwhile, Goku, Vegeta and Bulma filed into the small crowded bar. Bulma headed straight to the bar to grab drinks for everyone while the two guys took a moment to get adjusted to how cramped the space was.

“I fail to understand why puny humans have no concept of personal space,” spat Vegeta. He hated when people touched him and it was almost impossible to file through the crowd without bumping shoulders with every other person.

“Come on, Vegeta! We came here to have a good time and enjoy the music. I thought you would like this kind of stuff,” Goku said, shrugging.

“Foolish Kakarot, what makes you think I would enjoy anything about this wretched-”

“Hey, guys! Over here! I found us a place to sit!” Bulma yelled over the music, hopping and waving her hand at an attempt to be seen. They took a seat closer to the stage than any of them expected to be and Bulma distributed drinks. They clinked their glasses together and did small cheers before taking heavy sips.

“Hey, Bulma- how’d you manage to get us a table all the way up here?” Goku grinned, happy to be close to the action.

“You should know by now that I have my ways, Goku,” Bulma beamed. She was obviously proud of her tactics. With just a few flirtatious looks and some compelling words Bulma was able to convince a group of college boys to basically offer her the table, no questions asked. Vegeta kept a heavy scowl on his face as he looked around at the environment. His eyes finally found his way to the stage to watch the performance. He convinced himself that if maybe he focused on the music, it would keep him from snapping the neck of the next person who barged into him.

“Whatcha lookin’ at?” Goku said from behind Vegeta. He had scooted closer to Vegeta to see if he could match his eyeline and catch what he was staring at.

“What the hell?” Vegeta recoiled away from Goku both out of surprise and anger.

“You just seem to be staring in one direction and I can’t tell what you're looking at,” Goku said, confused and determined. “If I didn’t know any better, I would think he was staring at the singer,” Bulma laughed.

Vegeta froze. How dare she claim that he was participating in silly games? He realized once she said it, his eyes were, infact, on the singer. He questioned himself on why he was even looking at her, especially for as long as he had been. He gritted his teeth.

“Silence, woman. I will not have you insinuate such things.”

“Whatever,” shrugged Bulma. “You’re still looking at her.”

Milla was walking across the stage towards the group’s table, starting her part after the first chorus.

“I don’t beg- for no rich man. And I don’t scream and kick, when his shit don’t fall in my hands man. And I know how to still.”

For a split second she looked up and caught Vegeta’s gaze. He was still scowling, but the look in his eyes led onto more. Milla caught onto this and gave him a mischievous, sideways grin while she sang. She winked at him before turning around and Vegeta ripped his eyes to the ground.

Goku laughed and grinned his typical goofy smile. “It looks like she likes you! She’s kinda scary for a lady- but in a cool way, I guess.”

Blood rushed to Vegeta’s face and he shot Goku a death glare. “Kakarot-”

Vegeta then realized that Goku and Bulma were both looking past him with big grins plastered to their faces.

“What are you fools smiling about?” Vegeta scowled and snapped his head around to see behind him. His eyes widened as he realized Milla was sitting at the edge of the stage, less than a few feet away, body facing towards him but her eyes temporarily focused on her band mate.

She posed herself at the edge of the stage, legs crossed. One hand held her red gem bedazzled microphone as she sang and the other curled the cord around her well-manicured finger.

Milla was short, but her body structure and thin, toned legs made her seem tall. She wore an oversized Dead Milkmen t-shirt as a dress that draped over fishnet leggings. Tattoos scattered her pale, olive-toned skin up and down her arms.

Vegeta, stuck in his tracks for a moment, looked right at her face as she continued to sing. She was actually attractive for a human, he thought. He looked at her deep brown, almond shaped eyes. They were almost cat-like- and her red lips that surrounded a glaringly white smile was definitely alluring.

No matter. This was starting to become an unpleasant situation for Vegeta. He realized that she was teasing him and almost mocking him in a way that was completely unacceptable. He was the Prince, ruler of all Saiyans, and one of the most powerful fighters in the universe! Just as Vegeta was getting ready to leave, Milla caught his angry gaze and smiled. She cocked her head and continued to sing, leaning forward towards him.

“Oooh-ooh-ooh, no dear, you’ll be keeping my legend alive.”

Goku and Bulma’s eyes widened out of both fear and shock as Milla tickled her finger under Vegeta’s chin. Before any of them could even react, she turned around and hopped back onto the stage to finish her performance.

“Enough,” Vegeta growled. He stood up, teeth gritted and palms clenched. He took his fist and knocked his chair over before storming out.

Goku and Bulma looked at each other, exchanged a small laugh and shrugged.

“Well, he didn’t stay long- but at least it was entertaining,” Bulma said.

**About an hour later** “Thank you guys for coming out tonight and for being such an awesome crowd. It really is such an honor to perform for you guys and be here every week. I hope everyone who comes out knows how much their support means to me,” Mila said. She held up her glass to cheers her audience, and the crowd lifted their drinks in return. People clapped and whooped as Milla walked backstage and the lights dimmed. Other bandmates started to pack away their instruments and tear down the set-up.

The bulk of the crowd filed out of the building, including Bulma and Goku. Others stayed and sat at the bar.

“Should we look around and wait for Vegeta?” Goku asked.

“Ha! Do I look like I have all night to hunt that jerk down? He’s perfectly capable of finding his own ride home, if he hasn’t already.” Bulma said. “I guess, if you say so,” Goku said, scratching the back of his neck, clearly feeling guilty. “You’re too nice,” Bulma said, dragging Goku out.

Backstage, Milla brushed her short hair into a ponytail and grabbed a makeup wipe from her duffle bag.

“Hey, Milla. That guy you were messing with earlier seemed pretty riled up,” Joey said.

Mila laughed as she swiped at her eyelids with the makeup wipe. “Oh, did he?” she replied.

“Yea, he even knocked over his chair before running out. Guess it was just too much for him.” Joey chuckled.

Milla tossed her makeup wipe in the bin by the door and slung her duffle bag over her shoulder.

“Alright boys, I’m heading out for the night. We kicked ass today. See you on Wednesday night for practice,” Milla said, heading out the back door of the building.

The guys waved their goodbyes and she exited. Outside it was cold, but the air felt nice after a long night of running around on stage. She walked to her car, which was parked the street over from the bar. Milla hated crowded parking lots and she wasn’t the best at parking. As she got to her car, she fumbled for her keys in the pocket of her cardigan.

“Who the hell do you think you are?” a voice said.

“Huh?” Milla whipped around to see the guy that her and her bandmates had been talking about. The one she caught staring at her while she sang. She laughed at the sight of him- brows furrowed and his mouth in a deep frown. His arms were crossed tightly against his chest as he leaned against her car.

“What is so funny?” Vegeta growled.  “You would not be laughing if you knew who you were dealing with.”

“Oh,” Milla said, raising her eyebrows, feigning confusion. “Let me offer my deepest apologies.” She bowed sarcastically and then rolled her eyes, dropping her smile.

Vegeta scoffed and started to walk away. “Foul woman.”

“Excuse me, who the hell do you THINK that you are?” Milla asked, walking towards Vegeta. He stopped walking and turned to face her. “You think you can just come and harass me after the show because of what? Because I flirted with you? Grow the fuck up, I saw the way you looked at me.” Milla continued.

Vegeta stared at her, silently. Still scowling. They were less than a foot away from each other at this point, just battling through glares. Milla rolled her eyes again and her long lashes fluttered.

Vegeta noticed her face looked slightly different. He realized her red lips were now a warm shade of pink and her eyes seemed brighter. He thought maybe that she had taken her makeup off, but he still thought her face was nice.

“Pathetic.” Milla said at Vegeta, squinting her eyes. She got into her car and started the engine.

“What a fucking weirdo,” Milla said to herself. She thought he was cute when she had flirted with him, but now she couldn’t tell if he was just strange or a serial killer.

She pulled out onto the road and he was still standing where he was before, glaring. Vegeta stood where she had left him, steaming mad, but also wanting her to come back.

“Get the fuck out of here, dude. Go home.” Milla said before driving away.

“Some people,” Milla laughed, shaking her head. “Too bad shit’s not entertaining like this all of the time.”

After seeing her drive off, Vegeta headed back over to the bar. He bought himself a drink and made plans with himself to return the following Friday.

caleb and nas actually started dating early on in college ! nothing crazy happened uwu that yall know of lol, but yeah. spent 4 years as dorm roommates. around year 4 morgyn came to visit caleb a couple of times and hung out with the boys ^^ Nas and Caleb stayed in-dorm for the last winterfest (and other holidays) of college. caleb graduated a bit before nas did lol

the boys moved to strangerville shortly after graduation!! caleb lowkey isnt a fan of the neighbors but he knows how they get lol. morgyn moved in with them not too long afterwards ^^

morgyn was in a kinda-relationship with caleb before he went to college, btw. kinda meaning they knew each other and and might have had feelings. well, with the feelings still present and the three of them having some type of chemistry, it was agreed for the three of them to date together ^^ Caleb hasn’t decided how he feels about drinking human blood but, he’s trying lol. His plasma trees are bountiful but Nas is being a good bf and just wants to help his bro out. Also, Lilith came to beat up Caleb for ignoring her texts and calls and invites all the damn time (she lowkey harassed him but she just wanted to check on him lol)

Caleb’s been leveling up his vampire abilities basically; he’s already a grandmaster but he still had shit to learn tbh. Morgyn developed a garden in the back and decided it was a good idea to have a cowplant. The cowplant was adorable (but it ate morgyn and nas twice lol). Also, Morgyn and Nas got closer and decided to become boyfriends as well rather than sharing Caleb uwu ~

speaking of trying human blood out, Morgyn started volunteering to help Caleb out with that. Turns out he temporarily borrows their magic lol.

the boys have jobs btw! Nasier is a marine biologist (using his college degree for good use), Caleb went into acting, and Morgyn is a scientist! (still cant believe Caleb’s very first acting gig [shown] was him being Mario. Its funny bc Caleb’s italian lol, but the gig was the vlad straud handyman gig lmao)

caleb’s early acting gigs were lowkey lame but my favorites were the handyman and pirate gigs tbh o: but here’s a few of his early parts lol. (He started straightening his hair again by the time he was in the apocalyptic movie!)

they also adopted some pets! Tod is a fox, Sparky is the cat—you can see more of Sparky here c: He’s Morgyn’s familiar hehe. [casually inserts “Fox & the Hound” ref for Tod and Nas lol]

Morgyn literally is best friends with the damn aliens. These pics are 3 different occasions, and they got abducted six times so far u.u thankfully morgyn is unable to bring any aliens back with them fjhgjhff

Nasier had leveled up to 10 in his career already and basically was making bank at this point. Caleb won his first award for the apocalypse movie!! and Morgyn was hard at work and building all of the things o:

After winning his award, Caleb hit career level 10 as an actor and had his acting skill leveled up as well, so he stepped away and went into the medical career (thanks to Mav for the suggestion lmfao). Before starting his new job, the boys went on vacation to Granite Falls. Caleb was moody one day, it thunderstormed the next day (caleb and nas got spooked but morgyn deadass stayed outside to watch the weather). Overall they had fun hehe.

some time had past, caleb and morgyn bumped up in their careers (while Nas just chills out with his job but uses some of his vacay time to stay home lol).

When Caleb and Morgyn had a few days off together, Nas used his vacay time and spent the days with them...and in those days, the three decided to get married. The three visited in three different places and collectively proposed; Nas asked Morgyn in Sulani; Nas asked Caleb on Sixam when Morgyn had finally built the wormhole generator; and Caleb asked Morgyn in the realm ♥

After having 3 beautiful weddings with their close friends and family as the guests, they are honeymooning in Selvadorada—and that’s where I’m at in my game now c:

I have a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot of pictures from this save oml. Most of them are taken with some flare and reshade, some are just screenshots of dumbassery, some are posed with ship aesthetics, some are [ahem] taken with ww lol. But overall, I have spent a solid in-game year in this save 👀👀👀 and i’m nowhere near finished with it hehe. Caleb, Morgyn and Nas have had quite an adventure of bs that I’ve mentioned and PLENTY more that i didn’t wanna ramble on about, but they’ve got a whole life of marriage and more for them :] and I’m excited.

I’m sorry that I keep forgetting to like, actually post shit lol, and I’m sorry this is a halfass attempt to catch everyone up. Only my friends know what’s all been happening through screenshot spam and streaming lol. But it’s been fun. 

I’m gonna go play some more, but I wanted to finally sit and share what’s been up with my game since putting Bloodborn on a hiatus lol. I’ll probably post more once the boys are out of their honeymoon phase uwu ~

At the request of my friend, I made a little “Halloween Special” with my FE:3H Sims. As a fair warning, things get a little weird... 

So! My main file with Garreg Mach is having some issues with NPCs and for a certain mod, I need NPCs to spawn. So, instead of the whole 20+ Sims group, it’s just a small party that went to stay at a strange mansion. The house leaders, their retainers, the professor and Flayn are ready for Halloween!

Edelgard is a festive witch, while Hubert is a Jacoban priest (which is from The Sims: Medieval) and/or cult leader. He would have been the vampire that he quite obviously is meant to be if I had the proper game packs, but sadly I do not.

Dimitri and Dedue are a pirate and a navy captain. Yes, I did this entirely because I thought it would be funny to have Dimitri wearing an eyepatch on the “wrong” eye. No, I don’t regret it at all.

Hilda is a kitty cat, and Claude... is cursed. I’m so sorry.

Originally I was going to go with Seteth as the Church representative, but I ran out of male costumes. I almost made him a cowboy, but I really wanted to use that cute dress.

Literally the first thing Dimitri does is make Mac and a Cheese in the cauldron. Some things never change.

As per usual, it turned out very popular. 

… All the while ignoring poor Dedue diligently making French toast for everyone.

Claude decides to take a stance against beds and sleep on the ottoman instead of the $7k bed that was specifically registered to him. 

And Hilda decides that the best place to brush her teeth is the kitchen sink and not one of the 4 bathrooms. 

Anyway, it wouldn't be Halloween without some... horror, right? So I downloaded a little mod... 

Suddenly, zombies! Or... risen? Idk. 

Dimitri was the first one to investigate the zombie problem. 

...It didn’t go very well. 

Professor to the rescue, I suppose.

I gave Byleth a single dezombification cure and she had to use it within the first 10 minutes of the zombie apocalypse because Dimitri is a dumbass who charged into the zombies without a weapon. 

And now... Byleth has a gun. 

She then proceeded to go on a murder spree and do sit ups in the blood of her freshly dead enemies. Also I love how she’s doing her favorite pose in that first pic. 

And while that bloodbath going on, everyone at home is not comprehending the concept of bathrooms. Edelgard literally walked in on Hubert trying to use the toilet... twice. And guys... y’all know there is more than one mirror in the house, right? 

So after Byleth killed all the zombies in the vicinity of the mansion, the apocalypse seemed to die down. I realized that to get more spooky Halloween occurences, I’d have to get more creative...

Flayn seems to have found something suspicious about the bookcase...

Turns out its the classic Scooby Doo-esque secret door!

TWILIGHT SPARKLE from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: i love all of the ponies in their own way and despite how much i abhor tara strong’s VA work twilight remains a top favorite. her anxiety and perfectionism show the downsides of her ardent studiousness, but dont portray her erudition in a negative light. a lot of cartoons i saw growing up always had an “egghead” nerdy character who was unpopular for doing well in school or caring about academia. while i know as an adult that it’s all essentially worthless it’s really affirming to see that pressure candidly portrayed while also not being totally dismissive of it. school was one of the only things i was ever good at, and twilight’s character shows both its heavy downsides and the ways in which it actually can be applied to the real world.

WASHU HAKUBI from Tenchi Muyo!: one of my longtime faves! washu is a genius scientist, but with tenchi muyo being a mythological sci-fi series, that points her closer to witch/mad scientist/alchemist. i also liked the gimmick of her being thousands of years old but insisting on portraying herself as a short snarky teenager. plus i love her crab motif and her little wooden cheerleader puppets

JOHN SILVER from Treasure Planet: bear cyborg dad. super huggable, great voice, and has a lil irish jig follow him around in the soundtrack. neck rolls + tooth gap = hell fuckkin yeah babey

PEPPER ANN from Disney’s Pepper Ann: this show made me excited to attend middle school LMFAO because i related to pepper ann so much as a kid. much like twilight sparkle, PA is super neurotic but has an explosive, if not borderline delusional, imagination. she dressed and behaved like an actual kid, and plus she looked like me too. even in the 90s it was rare to see a kid with glasses that wasn’t shafted to the poindexter stereotype, especially a girl (e.g. Gretchen from the fellow Disney show Recess). i liked that she wasn’t feminine but also wasn’t a hard tomboy; she gave me space to feel like i was allowed to exist outside of that kind of gender binary (and especially her younger sister Moose blows all gender expectations out of the water). 

ASUKA LANGLEY SORYU from Neon Genesis Evangelion: foundation of my childhood identity along with all the trauma and posturing therein. think garrosh if he were a 12 year old girl who piloted a mech

HELLBOY from Hellboy: mike mignola’s art style has influenced a lot of my own. he’s a demon who chooses to be the good guy and that’s everything to me. he loves kitty cats and pancakes and punches nazis, and hellboy ii: the golden army is one of the best movies of all time.

BLACKARACHNIA from Beast Wars (Transformers): LOVE this bitch. she got to hang out with tarantulas and also expressed that moral grayness i totally love, chillin with rattrap and makin jokes. spider motif is v good also

NAILS from Cool World: this movie fucking blows LMFAO it’s absolutely awful but it has the most banger rave soundtrack next to hackers and ralph bakshi’s animation as always is a spectacle. Nails is a hapless anxious cop-spider who can barely load his own gun and looks like a predecessor to a Cuphead reject. plus he’s voiced by charlie adler so he’s got huge personality. funny spider guy

AU Disney Heroines # 2: A causal Day with your Cutie (no worries dates will happen)

Before I go, yes I am going to attempt to make this open to anyone, but this creator wants more LGBTQ+ AUs, so this one just if you and x character went and the character’s thoughts. Please share your thoughts if this good or not in my ask box? :D Here are the rules too.

P.s. Like mentioned in the first AU on Disney Heroines, I can not promise all featured like in the first one, but I try to list the ones that are fan favorites and please feel free to give kindly worded feedback. Lastly, I do edits with (non)Disney hand-drawn characters, so feel free to request. :D I kinda did the “what family thinks of you” here too. XD So two in one. I am aware some of these are borderline dates, but I do hope for date AU just list the character’s respected dream date.

Snow White (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs): 

*When hanging out, Snowy likes to learn how to cook a few things together. She not a perfectionist, but if you do tease her and try flavors without asking, she would be nervous. (kinda like Jenna Marbles with her cutie, I swear them cooking together is so cute).

*If not cooking then (very inspired 500 Days of Summer, down below) run around a houseware store and act like a married couple already, even though she acts bashful about it at first.

*At first a Grumpy (it is not you, it is him), Sneezy (you accidentally brought flowers once to Snow, that he was allergic too), and Sleepy (he felt you hanging out once with her, that laughing too much woke him) were not sure of you, but luckily Dopey, Doc, Happy, Bashful all liked you.

Cinderella (Cinderella):

*Cinderella favorite thing to hear your favorite little pins, designs, etc on various sites and saves up to make you something and even teach how to do a few sown tips. You act like you do not care, but you secretly make tiny projects.

*You give her letters that her animal friends (like her dog Bruno fetches it and gives to her) to the other and explaining how much you look forward to meeting “the secret admirer” who wrote this. Her (step*)sisters kinda like you, but her (step)mother does not, but you still happy to see your strawberry^^ blonde cutie.

Aurora (Sleeping Beauty):

*Aurora favorite thing to dance together, like walking down the street she hears a nearby song and dance a bit to it, but be she shy about it.

* She loves to go in tiny shops on healing stones and thinks of her aunts.

* Aurora enjoys the evening or sunset walks, the only downside she gets sleepy.

*Her aunts and parents all like you, especially when being aware she gets tired easily and take her home instead drag on the hangout.

Jessica Rabbit (Who Framed Roger Rabbit):

*Jessica likes to dance like a dork, nothing sexy because she feels so comfortable with you. 

*Just get away the public eye and be just with you, so you both wear outrageous outfits. Her favorite when you wore a pair of rabbit ears and a colorful bowtie combo.

Ariel (The Little Mermaid):

*Swimming or even (yes an ex I had was like this, the first point here) run in sprinklers, while you stand watching and smile. The downside is holding her hand it is so wet and the respect side of your gets a bit wet too, and you try to not feel concerned about her catching a cold.

* Ariel loves more than anything to hold her breath in and see how it feels when inhaling.

* On clear days after rain, she loves to comment how clear it feels in the air.

*Her sisters' all different feelings of you, but secretly they all notice a trait about you that is complimentary. Attina felt you have a “good crown” or brain for how witty you are. Alama tries to socialize, yet a bit shy yet does say how romantic Ariel acts around you makes her happy. Aquata tries to make up for Alama and interact with you and encourages everyone to talk to you, while oddly enough by accident embarrasses everyone. Arista likes how much you think of Ariel and even her family, for when Ariel taking forever or late to an event (sadly common) she shows off her music skills. Adelle feels so touched you include, even not make mean (sibling teasing) on her weight. Andrina clearly being close to youngest goes through a lot of questioning and even has a girlfriend, she not ready to introduce to the family, but you overhear Ariel give words of comfort. **

*Ariel’s dad seems a bit standoff, like say little to nothing.

Belle (Beauty and the Beast): 

*Belle likes to find books on your passions and if not that, then a book she feels like you would enjoy. This, of course, includes comics, graphic novels, and more.

*She may not be a huge talker, but if you talk about what she loves or her recent book, she is happy to fill your time in her enthusiasm on either.

*Sometimes you ride her horse, Philippe and whoever in front, likes to hold the other closely. You have a soft spot when she in front, for how much she reads her horse’s mini responses so well.

*Her dad likes to be playful with you, but if drunk, be ready for him to list of all facts he knows relating to a machine and try to arm wrestle you while laughing a lot.

Jasmine (Aladdin):

*Jasmine is outgoing, yet she is an ambivert, so after a nice walk around the market, she wants to relax in her home.

*Her cat loves you, but will play off as if hates you, but if you rub the right spot, this huge kitty is purring for you.

*Jasmine’s dad wants to get to know your family and traditions too.

Pocahontas (Pocahontas):

*Besides walks and talking (what can I say her love language is quality time and words of affirmation) she likes to go to dog parks and see all the different animals.

* She looks up what flowers are in the season and always plays with the idea of creating a garden or not.

* Her best friend Nakoma sometimes hangs out with you two, because of thanks to Nakoma you met Pocahontas and of Pocahontas’ exes (John Smith and John Rolfe, and even her semi-ex Kocoum), Nakoma thinks you are the most wonderful. 

*Pocahontas’ dad appreciates your consideration and respect to his child.

Esmeralda (The Hunchback of Notre Dame): 

*Esmeralda’s friends and you all hang out together and you quickly get along with Quasimodo and you joke one of his three dogs, Hugo, (the gargoyles) are cute with her dog, Djali (her goat^* and yes I am aware in the first AU I misspelled XD) and are couple and older happy men (I am sorry, not clear in the first AU). You even jokingly make a wedding for the two, while Victor the best man and Laverne the maid-of-honor.

*With her, Phoebus, and you all play sword fighting, while Quasi’s cheer on whoever currently loosing, typically you sorry to say, but hey underdog you do make Esmeralda play easier when just you two because how much Esmeralda’s find you cute.

*Sometimes you go to Church events with Esmeralda and not she pushes you to convert to her faith. However, if you are Christian, she respects that she likes you for so much more then just that. 

Megara (Hercules): 

*She may not have the most friends, but the ones she cares about, she is loyal to, as much she denies she cares about anything. So when hanging out she may at first seem distant, but gradually she opens up.

*A tip you get from friends is complimenting her and she does like to be a flirty tease, but this fun game of seeing who can out cute the other. Once you both jokingly teased of how each of you can name 97 cute things of each other to see who would win but got so each other face, you almost ended up kissing, Phil though put you on blast of you two to stop.

*She though likes showing up to your place of work or something and make you flustered as she gives you “the look”. Oh yes, that is your Achilles’ heel. 

Mulan (Mulan):

*She likes to just relax, her family can have plans back to back, so do not feel her literal eyebrows be pulled it nice just hang out, drink tea and catch up.

*Sometimes her friends give you a hard time, especially when asking you do you like Mulan when more feminine, natural, or masculine. You do not know till later inside joke how one of Mulan’s friends was a former significant other, but luckily both are on good terms.

*Funny enough for a such a friend group of guys, all enjoy a good tear-jerking movie, while Mulan offers them all hugs.

*Mulan and you enjoy walking her dog, Little Brother and you jokingly call him all types of words like Dude, Kind Sir, etc.

*Her family, at first find you bit odd, but seeing you like Mulan, they warm up to you, especially her grandmother who loves to embarrass you both.

Jane Porter (Tarzan):

*You and her love to find little cute spots, like a turtle pond, and she draws away.

*When extra flirty and alone, you joke and pose and she too gigglingly to focus.

*Sometimes she brings a book full of haikus and it shocks you how such simple words strung together make such beautiful writing, that or you love hearing her British accented voice speak.

*Jane does get busy sometimes, so you have to visit her when she waits for her. Her father a professor, so when she waits for him you chat a bit.

Kida (Atlantis: The Lost Empire):

*You both hangout often at this cute little good well store, where she finds all types of goodies. Her favorite finding something and giving a fake history to it.

*Kida may act immature, but she seems so beyond her and your age.

*She loves to teach you self defense, even though sometimes she overpowers you even.

*If you have (sun)glasses she likes to take them and wear them to show off.

*She oddly can find any animal cute, even spiders she jokes are beautiful for their ability to make tapestries.

Audrey (Atlantis: The Lost Empire): 

*Audrey may joke her dad wanted sons for boxing and wrestling, but she knows a fair share of both; her recent passion is rollaring derby.

*Every once in a while when looking around her home town, you are shocked how much she can recognize about cars by just looking at certain types. She even offers to help with any car related trouble you have or friends and/or family.

Helga (Atlantis: The Lost Empire):

*Helga takes you back when you realize this femme fatal loves to go fashion.

*She is oddly though careful with her purchases to not waste money all at once.

*However when a good deal, she buys beautiful dresses, that either compliment her shoulders and slender neck, that sexy leg slit, or both. She also has a huge collection of racerback tank tops and a few designs too.

Nani (Lilo and Stich):

*Outside of being busy with work, Lilo, and even the once in a while Stich, you two go to the beach. She tries to teach you how to surf, but not much luck, but oddly body surfing you grow to love. The feeling of being pushed gently over a wave to shore is fun.

*If she does have Lilo with her, plus their dog Stich, you all enjoy hanging out at a dog park and have a picnic.

*You love hearing the stories of Stich, for you joke he is more Alien then dog.

Tiana (The Princess and the Frog): 

*When hanging out she excited make you try her new meals and even you learn a thing or two and she gives you feedback.

*Her few pets are frogs and she thanks you actually because you feel like a pet would be a cute surprise for her when hanging out by a pond.

*Her mother finds you so respectful and even already jokes how much hear the wedding bells.

Charlotte or Lottie (The Princess and the Frog): 

*Lottie first favorite thing to go shopping and does not mind spoiling herself and loved ones.

*Her favorite place to go outside shopping malls, is seeing puppies and kittens. She would tell you about her “Big Daddy” give her pets.

*Speaking of “Big Daddy” you try to not laugh at his nickname from her, luckily he takes it well, and already happy someone makes Lottie so that is his approval.

Rapunzel (Tangled):

*Rapunzel favorite hang out just hang out in your place or hers, yet she sometimes does like to go out. Bonus if a good clear and cool she draws with chalk, yet if not then paint inside to the rain.

*She can be hesitant at first if a fun new drive, yet after a bit of encouragement she has so much fun.

*Her parents she was unsure how they react meeting you, yes her parents were missing her for 18 years and clearly show a type of love that kept their bond intact for so long, but she still understandable not too sure. However, her mother was excited to meet you, while the father was distant yet in an “I have respect for you and over time like you” view.

Merida (Brave): 

*If the hangout has a competition or competitive element Merida is happy.

*Her own brothers, help her win and sometimes shock you in how they help you. However, you enjoy letting the triplets winning and do a dog or should I say, bear pile on you. They are still young kids, so not too heavy.

*Her mother took time to give her approval for you but seeing how much a positive effect you on Merida helped her warm up to you. The father was so happy to someone who takes his jabs and sure awkward smiles ensue, Merida secretly appreciates you go with it.

Anna (Frozen):

*If it involves new foods, especially sweets, Anna so excited.

*She also appreciates you asking her on if tiny things are alright like it can hold her hand, hug, and more. You are aware you could just do it, but her various smiles are so adorable you can not help but ask, it is like each tiny thing is a tiny gift for her. She also asks you too and the most adorable one is when there one piece of food left and she asks in a tiny voice if can have, you typically say yes.

*Actually anything new and bonus can do with Elsa sometimes just as to the two alone, she is more excited. Or in other words, likes you find events or ideas for the two siblings to bond over.

*Speaking of Elsa, she actually did not like you at first. She worries Anna see too much good in people and not enough bad to be realistic. However the fact you would check on things that could be so simple, she wished someone did for her, but to see you care for Anna like this, makes Elsa happy.

*She loves the daytime for walks, seems more energetic by it.

Elsa (Frozen): 

*Very distant, she mistook your awkwardness as bad and luckily Anna helped her see good in you.

*You two just do tiny night walks (for some reason Elsa feels her powers more and therefore can show off).

*However she did struggle to open that side of herself to you, but when noticing things, she asked Anna to actually makeshift break up with you. Luckily when confused Anna said “it is not you, it is her” and accidentally implied too much. However luckily seeing you did not react poorly, with tiny steps to Elsa she opened up.

*Even though these hangouts are not quite dates, she does like how much you stayed by her side, even though she knows she can be hard to work with. No worries keyword above, makeshift, she does want to date you but gives it some time.

Moana (Moana):

*Swimming, dancing, singing, are her top three hangout ideas.

*However she loves adventure, so if you can suggest something new, she almost every time says yes.

*So much her family, minus grandmother, were getting worried but saw you always had each other back and were safe.

*Her grandmother actually loved how much you two would plan something impulsively, well Moana would do a tiny bit of research, but enough she understood what to pack.

*Your favorite aspect of Moana how much she loved her pets, yes simple, but she has such respect for the pig and rooster, you smile as they walk to you excited each time you visit.

*Her friend, Māui, he bit in competition to “prove yourself”, yet after a simple “quest” of certain rocks, leaves, and more to give him, he gives his approval. His quest was a leaf with you writing on why you like Moana, which after blushing, he liked what you wrote.

*=I have older step-siblings and I do not like how stepfamily is seen as evil, I may be lucky, but I love them as siblings. ^_^

Theme Song

Analysis One:

When I first started watching this show it was to find something my oldest daughter [who was three at the time] and I could watch together. We had been watching Gravity Falls but I knew it was coming to an end and I was pretty tired of Shimmer and Shine and Daniel Tiger and whatnot [not that there’s anything wrong with them and in fact I like them, just was over it lol]. Disney movies over and over I can do but I wanted something new that I could really get into. My sister loved it and I saw screenshots and stuff all over Tumblr so I was curious. I sought my sisters referral and she told me it was beautiful but might contain content that Andrea was too young to understand/comprehend, but even so it was made so it would still entertain her and contained a lot of themes that would reinforce the type of things I was trying to teach her as a mother. Now my youngest who was a babe-in-arms when we started has reached about the same age as Andrea was when we started watching and it's all of our big thing that we watch together and love so much. It met and exceeded all of my expectations in every way. The artwork and music is beautiful, I've added several of the songs to my "playlist" of lullaby's that the children request for me to sing to them. The girls adore the characters, Andrea even named "her” dog after Pearl [she’s even got the sharp nose true to form, but as a counterpoint likes to eat trash and roll in the mud]. They play games set to the story, talk about it all the time, cheer them on as we watch and even cry. It keeps us engaged and guessing and even my husband doesn't mind it and will occasionally watch the new episodes with us. We love how excited the kids get about them lol.

I was going to just jump into the first episode, but I thought I should do a little breakdown of the theme songs first,the old one from the first season and the one we've been using since the beginning of season two until presumably we'll get a new one at the start of season six. Also forgive me for not having pictures, but I don’t want to be stealing pictures even with references or tags and I have two children so I don’t have the time or patience to be going and getting my own screengrabs.

First I think it's interesting that in the old theme Pearl and Amethyst [Amethyst pulling out/down her shirt] both show off their glowing gems but you can only see one of Garnet’s as she adjusts her shades. Steven's can be seen glowing until he finishes his little somersault and his shirt settles. I like how the next few flashes show his youth [and immaturity] in comparison to the Gems as well. After seeing the theme we've had the last couple of years so many times I really love the parallels and changes. How when the warp pad goes off Steven just passively floats upside down, he makes a face when Garnet ruffles his hair [which is one of my favorite of their earlier interactions], running to catch up to them and then leaping to get in the lead. It gives us a real feel for their relationship but in an abstract way. Steven is the kid brother, to be protected and sheltered, maybe even a little annoying. They love him, but he isn't really a member of the team, he's just a tag-along. Then it evolves, they start in the temple but it appears that they're at the galaxy warp in the second theme. They focus on the Gems faces now and not their gems. He is now the one who activates the warp, with a hint of the Diamond Salute, everyone ruffles his hair while he smiles [with star eyes no less] because he knows how much they love him. Then the running with Steven trying to catch up turning to all of them just posing one by one with their weapons, but still as a team. We get a nice shot of Connie as the van drives through Beach City, she is front and foremost from our point of view. Lars and Sadie, Mr. Smiley, the Cool kids, Kiki and Nanefua are all there but Connie is the most important. Lots of people have pointed out the change in her appearance in the theme, and it's certainly the most obvious but I like how subtly everyone else changed too. Lars goes from throwing himself against the window to leaning comfortably, Sadie even looks more comfortable. The Cool Kids are now hanging out in front of The Big Donut instead of on the curb across the street. Onion is on top of it when originally it seemed that Mr. Smiley was about to toss him out. Looking back he was probably just handing him off to Sour Cream, but we didn't know he was his big brother back then. Jamie has been added, although off to the side sulking [of course]. Also added are Mayor Dewey, Kofi, and the Frymans. As funny as it is to see Ronaldo being flustered at the van driving by instead of Lars, my heart is warmed by PeeDee hanging out smiling on his father's shoulders and waving at Steven. It might be more symbolism that Ronaldo is trying to gather up his papers but pauses to watch the van go by. He has a tendency to let his theories run away with him, but Steven has consistently set him straight.

All that being said, Connie's transformation is arguably the most important other than Steven himself, although in light of Pink Lars and Rock Star Sadie not necessarily the most drastic in appearance. She is still on the outskirts, but it's no longer because she's an outsider as evidenced by her running after the van instead of just holding her hat in place due to the wind made by it passing her. I love the contrast in her traditionally feminine skirt to her more utilitarian shorts and clutching her book and holding onto her hat turning into still holding the book but loosely by her side instead of tightly to her chest and resting her sword comfortably on her shoulder. I really identified with early Connie and her escape into books. As a Navy brat I moved a lot, and being the oldest I had a lot of responsibility I didn't really want. When we first meet her in Bubble Buddies and she doesn't even notice Steven because she was so into her reading, I felt that on a very visceral level. I wish I could have found real magic like she did lol. Her books are still a part of her, but she’s grown so much, trained to be strong and skillful, earning her place on the team. I don’t think we ever actually see her wear a hat in show, and she loses her literal rose tinted lenses and adds in her glow bracelet showing off her and Steven’s friendship.

Greg is finally shown at the end, representing Steven's human needs with a grill haha, then in a final bit of symbolism in the first theme we see each of the Gems get their own frame with their name superimposed above them. They each get a slightly different time of day and a signature little move to show us who they are without saying a word. Garnet reclining in her lawn chair and only moving her foot at sunset. Amethyst flipping her hair at twilight with the moon behind her. Pearl adjusting her skirt as she sits in front of the fully night sky filled with diamond shaped stars. Steven eating a hot dog with the temple at sunrise behind him. In the new theme however they gather around Steven after a casual shot of the temple. Connie runs to join them, Greg relaxes up against a napping Lion. He strums his guitar as Connie turns smiling. Garnet lowers herself to sit behind Steven, Amethyst in her enthusiasm slides to be beside him, Pearl kneels down neatly They all belong there, as a team. They are all still individuals with their own personalities, strengths and weaknesses, but they communicate and fit together so much better now. The title is over all four of them instead of just Steven.

Steven says his powers allow him to connect to people, and sure that's a big part of his gem powers but I think his human half has a really great power too. He has the ability to make people connect to each other. His empathy brings all the people he cares about together and over the course of the series he's been able to dissect and help them solve the issues keeping them apart as well as deal with their own self images and trauma.

There's been a lot of speculation about a new theme, and although initially I was unhappy with the idea and content with the current theme I am coming around. I was firmly against the idea of Rose being Pink and that turned out better than I ever could have hoped so I'm fully trusting in Rebecca Sugar now. Especially with those scenes at the very end of Change Your Mind. The pan over the Crystal Gems, Off Colors and the humans mingling on the beach with the Diamonds looking over them. The change in lyrics about peace instead of fighting while all of the newly uncorrupted gems reunite in the fountain, and the fact that Steven leaves out his own name to make sure he mentions that there's more of them. And then the Crystal Gems in front of the temple, all of them. Lapis and Peridot have officially joined all in, Bismuth is back for good, Connie, Lion and Greg still in their rightful places, even Pumpkin and Cat Steven. It's all just so wonderful, if we do get an updated theme I'm sure it will be just as lovely, I'm trying not to have expectations although the parallels seem to indicate that at least that last bit in front of the temple will be integrated.

You sat perfectly still on your stool as you watched over the group of Avengers posing in front of you. You almost chuckled to yourself as you heard Tony Stark mutter at least a thousand complaints under his breath about not wanting to keep still. For a moment you thought you were being more patient than him.

There was another stroke of the brush as they all continued to pose for you. You leaned over your canvas from time to time to get a look at their individual faces.  You felt your stomach rumble and were suddenly pulled out of concentration. Man, you must have been hungry…when was the last time you ate? Breakfast? Yeah, you thought so. You had toast and egg whites, man that was delicious. You should add maybe a little bit more pepper to your eggs next time. Wait, you remembered to give your cats breakfast too right? Oh of course you did, you did it right before your walk with Motte. You hoped she’d be alright alone right now but then again your brother was supposed to be home so surely he was watching her for you. Oh man, remember when he came up to you the day before and showed you that hilarious vine of-

“S’cuse me, Anna was it?” Tony asked tapping his foot slightly while still standing stiffly in his pose. You felt your posture straighten up as he mentioned you. “Uh yes?” You asked softly.

“Are you almost done because I think if I stand still for a minute longer I will literally pass out,” he said through tight lips.

“I’m sorry everyone, why don’t we all take a break for an hour or so? That way you have enough time to recover?” You suggested. You saw the group of heroes relax visibly dropping their shoulders and expressions. They started to pile out together walking out of the doors of the large studio. Little did you know that two pairs of eyes were focused more on you rather than getting out of the room with the rest of their avenger coworkers.

Bucky Barnes and King T’challa both approached you from two different sides of the room eyes fixated on your crouching figure that hid behind your canvas and easel taking small gentle strokes as you began to work on some of the background.

“Excuse me,” they both surprisingly said at the same time causing you to look up slightly your brown eyes glancing between the two of them in shock. You didn’t think anyone would actually try to talk to you after all this was just a job. 

They looked at each other and both instantly knew. T’challa straightened his posture and held his hands politely behind himself while Bucky folded his arms over his chest tightly. Wait, was he trying to show off his pecks???

“Yes?” You asked wiping your face smudging a bit of green paint on your cheek. 

“I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to paint all of us,” Bucky said right after T’challa had opened up his mouth to speak. His eyes darted at the winter soldier and his expression scrunched slightly. He didn’t want to be petty in front of you but boy was the temptation there.

“I must say I am quite the fan of your work,” T’challa said sweetly. You blushed in embarrassment at the recognition of your work.

“Ah thank you!! That’s very kind of you to say!” You said setting your paintbrush on the easel to give both men your attention. “Painting is such a passion of-”

“Yeah, I’ve got to say sitting here and painting all this time must be really tiring, I’ve gotta give you credit,” Bucky agreed though shot a glare at T’challa. He, on the other hand, was not afraid to be petty.

“Well, you see the thing about painting is-”

“Well, I must say I admire her endurance to continue to paint even though people might rudely interrupt her,” T’challa said simply trying to keep his tone down.  Oh, this bitch was really trying to start something wasn’t he?

“Well your highness, as much as I’m sure you’d like to continue to admire Anna’s work I had something I needed to ask her.”

“That’s funny white wolf, because I also had something I needed to ask Miss Anna,” T’challa said his smirk showing now. 

“I’m sorry but I just wanted to say-” You tried to at least get more than half of a sentence in before you were cut off again.

“Anna, are you doing anything right now?” Bucky asked tilting his head to the side as he flashed you a charming smile.

“I’d love to take you out for a quick lunch,” T’challa suggested.  

Oh god, you finally knew what these two were playing at. You put your hands up to try and stop them before the poor men ended up dead on the floor. “wait, wait! I think you might have a misunderstanding!! You see I-”

“Anna darling, are you ready?” The voice of your boyfriend made your heart skip a beat.  T’challa and Bucky both exchanged another look but this time it was one of shame. 

Loki took you by your hands lifting them to his lips as he graced you with a kiss your cheeks flushing red as he did. 

“I must say I like the new look your sporting,” he smirked letting a finger trace over your cheek letting the green paint stain his finger. “How did you know green was my favorite color?” He joked.

You tried to hide your smile from him but to no avail. “I was wondering when you’d come along for lunch, what were you doing out here for so long?” he asked before his eyes suddenly looked over to T’challa and Bucky looking uninterested and unimpressed.

“I got a little distracted,” You said honestly letting one of your hands interlock your fingers with his. 

“Well my love, why don’t we get going so that I can finally spend time with you,” He leaned into your cheek kissing it before whispering softly in your ear. “Only being able to see you from so far away on that platform honestly was driving me mad,” he continued. 

“How I longed to have my arms around you again Anna,”  

You could have melted as you started to make your way out of the studio again. “Oh and gentlemen, I may be a reformed trickster but that doesn’t mean I won’t ‘accidentally’ slip a snake into your chambers for flirting with the love of my life,” He said slyly.

Your cheeks were on fire now. “Loki!!!” You whispered harshly. “Be nice!” you told him squeezing his hand. 

“I’m sorry my love,” he whispered back to you quietly planting a quick kiss on your cheek again. “I will try,”

T’challa and Bucky watched the two of you leave hand in hand and sighed together.

“I guess this is game over eh white wolf?”

“Shut up.”

Of course, this was a lot of fun! I got to research some cats, and I learnt things I never knew before!

Before reading, to clarify any confusion when I switch from the terms “their owner” and “you,” I made you the “owner.” I realise that I switch the terms around a lot, and therefore it could be a little confusing. I hope this clarifies anything. :) I hope you enjoy, darling! Thank you for your patience!

Siamese Cat

Like the siamese cat, Yoosung is very affectionate, intelligent - that is when he is attending his classes and not staying home to play LOLOL - and vocal,

And as well as those characteristics, can become depressed when left alone or are away from the owner. “Meow~ Rik– I-I mean MC, please, don’t leave me home alone!~ Meow!” Will definitely sulk watching you leave.

Kitty Yoosung loves to play games no surprise with his owner; he especially enjoys chasing a laser point, playing with balls of yarn, etc.

Type of cat that can literally sleep anywhere and in any position too, for that matter. You can find him in the sink, in the shower, dangling a bit off the couch, in the food bowl, anywhere you can imagine. Though he is a playful cat, he also has a lazy streak.

Not a very good climber or jumper. Sometimes falls when trying to get on the couch, and it’s really funny because he flops on his back and lays there for a minute before getting himself up.

Very messy cat too, especially when it comes to his litterbox. You are constantly having to clean up all the litter that he kicks out the box,

And I mean, it’s heap loads of it. “Oops, I’m sorry, Meow~ I won’t do it again– Oops! I did it again! Meow~”

♪ Zen ♪

Maine Coon Cat

Also known as the “gentle giant”, maine coons are large, sociable sweethearts, just like Zenny~ Along with that, playful, gentle, with “dog like” traits, and most importantly, a flirtatious cat.

With his graceful struts, rolls on the ground, purrs and rubs against your leg will have anyone cooing at his gentleness.

A very gorgeous cat; super fluffy, big tail, and big ears. Walks rather pridefully and likes to be taken outside on a leash to show himself off - and frankly, if he’s your cat you want to show him off too since he’s so beautiful.

“All these people want to pet me! Ah, well I can’t blame them. I’m just so fluffy and beautiful. Meow~”

Zen sleeps on your bed, and since he’s so big, he takes up a huge amount of space. If it’s a small bed, you’re practically dangling off the edge while Zen is comfortable laying on his side or curled up smack bang in the middle of the bed.

Persian Cat

Jaehee shares in common with the persian cat a placid and adaptive personality, quiet and keeps to themselves,

And very affectionate to their owner. Especially when the owner is respectful of their space and boundaries.

As a cat, she hardly makes any noise, even when she wants food. She’ll be very subtle about it just by approaching you or sitting in front of the cat bowl.

Jaehee is a very sweet cat, and very sweet to their owner. She likes to be around you, a good distance away, but close enough so you can hear her gentles purrs and feel the warmth radiating off of her body.

“Please be close to me, Meow~ but not that close. Please respect my boundaries…oh, you did. Thank you! Meow~”

She is the best cat to have whenever you are upset, because she senses it, and to cheer you up she will sit on your lap and rub her head against your chest.

Does not care about the quality of the food - eats whatever is given to her and put in her bowl.

Does not like when doors are closed and you are on the other side. Doesn’t matter if it’s the door to the bathroom, she doesn’t like it, and she’ll start pawing on the wooden door and pushing her paws beneath the cracks in the door.

☂ Jumin ☂

Ragdoll Cat

Jumin is a docile, calm, and gentle cat like the ragdoll. He is affectionate to his owner and owner only. Not entirely like the ragdoll cat, but more adjacent to his personality and a very intelligent cat.

Jumin is a very beautiful cat, with golden eyes that have a glimmer in them - you’re pretty sure that his eyes have the power to seep into your soul, considering how intense his eyes are, and more importantly, how intense his stare is.

The type of cat that is up at odd hours, and if he’s up, that means you’re up. He will not let you sleep. “Meow~ I really hope you are not trying to sleep.” Oh, he knows you are trying to sleep, but he does not care.

He will walk on your chest, and his claws will be practically digging into you because like as said, zero cares, and he will rub his head all over your face, neck and chest.

Basically, practically think’s he’s royalty. The saying that, “when you feed a dog they think you’re a god, but when you feed a cat they think they’re a god,” has never been so true with Jumin. Oh yes, in this household, he is the god, and he will not move a muscle. Unless absolutely necessary.

With that being said, he sits on your clothes with literally no fucks, and when you give him a glare as he lays on a pile of clothes that needs to be put away, he’s unfazed.

“Apologies. Would you like me to move? I don’t think so. Meow~”

☺ Seven/Saeyoung ☺

Exotic Shorthair Cat

Exotic Shorthairs are fun cats, just like Seven! They are playful, energetic, affectionate, intelligent, loyal and affectionate.

Unfortunately, the other quality that the exotic shorthair and Seven share is they can become depressed, especially when they are left alone. But besides that, they are the perfect “meme” cat and a loyal friend to till the end.

So don’t leave this poor baby alone.

Seven is not like any ordinary cat; for one, he really likes water. He loves to get in bubble baths with you, though all the water clings to his red fur, and it can be a hassle to dry him.

Totally scratches up the furniture, even after numerous times of having been told not to, and even though he has a scratching post! The couch is scratched up the most - you determine it’s his favorite “scratching post.”

Cat does not know what personal space is. He is all over you at all times, all up in your face, fur in your mouth, arms and legs spread.

This cat will eat anything you give him. Even if he is not hungry, if you are eating dinner, lunch, or just have a snack in your hand, and he will sniff it then bite it out of your hand, then run away at the speed of light!

“Catch me if you can! Meow~ Haha, you can’t, you can-” Bangs into a nearby wall and hurts his little head.

British Shorthair Cat

The British Shorthair is a good natured cat, devoted to their owner as a loyal companion, who truly sticks to the end, which is perfect for V who sports the same characteristics as a warm hearted and good natured person, who too, is loyal and devoted.

The two share a calm temperament, tolerance, and are easy going. V is not the most active or playful, but every once and while will humor his owner by playing with a little ball of yarn, patting it around with it’s paws.

V will kiss his owners face, sometimes licking on their cheek. His whiskers always tickle your face, and you can’t help but giggle and run your hand through his short fur.

He is a very photogenic cat, and never shies away from the camera, though it may seem like that when he does his traditional pose covering his face with his paws. It’s in mainly to enhance his adorableness. Your phone is flooded with old and new pictures of V being overall adorable and sweet.

Like Jaehee, his is a very good cat when it comes to comforting. He can sense when you are sad, and will immediately jump on your lap, nestling his head in your stomach and leaning up to kiss your face. “Don’t be sad, meow~ Let me help you. Please, I’ll lick away your tears.”

V is also a cat that really loves bags. Wherever you go grocery shopping and the second the food and other what nots are removed, he’s jumping into the bag and curling into it. Many cute pictures of him in a brown bag, adorable as ever.

☻ Saeran/Unknown ☻

Russian Blue Cat

Saeran is someone who is very reserved, quiet, and tranquil, like the Russian Blue cat. Saeran does not like to go out of his comfort zone, especially after everything he went through in his early childhood, up until being rescued from Mint Eye – that doesn’t change as a cat.

The Russian Blue is a very intelligent cat with an acute sense, which is great for someone like Saeran who has many talents with the computer, more, an quick learner.

Another particular trait that Saeran shares with the Russian Blue is that they are both sensitive to human emotions. Saeran can sense when someone is depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, considering he felt those three emotions for most of his life.

As a cat, when he sees that his owner is getting stressed, he’ll go up to them and nestle his head against their shin, his gentle purrs are relaxing sound to their owners ears.

He can also, of course, tell when someone is happy or excited, and therefore when his owner is happy, he is happy too.

Saeran is the type of cat that when lying down, they like to cover their face with their paws, sort of hiding themselves from the world, but allowing themselves to be open to, and willing for gentle pets to their stomach or head.

Unfortunately though, he is also the type of cat who will push things off a surfaces purposely to get your attention if he feels like you’re ignoring him, or you’re going to leave him alone.

“Meow~ Please, MC, don’t leave me. Meow~”

He is a very cuddly cat, and does not like to be left alone for too long. He’ll follow you around, stick by you, jump on your lap and groan if you move. But he is a very lovable cat, and a loyal one too.

✌ Vanderwood ✌

Grumpy Cat.

Though he may look grumpy on the outside, he is a sweet, adorable, lovable cat that just wants your love and attention,

So don’t be fooled by the frown on his face. He just wants your love and a clean house.

Vanderwood is the type of cat that judges you for every little thing that you do. And you can just tell he is judging you by the look of displeasure on his face and the intense glare - his eyes are very intense, and sometimes you feel a chill go up your spine looking into his eyes.

He’s a tsundere even as a cat. Though he may act like he doesn’t like it when you pet him, the moment you’re removing your hand he’s meowing and pawing at you to continue, therefore resuming to his, “I don’t care” attitude.

If you don’t like things being pushed on the ground from off a table or counter, Vanderwood is the cat for you. Clean. Freak. Even. As. A. Cat.

He doesn’t like a mess. He doesn’t like to be messy, he doesn’t like to be in a mess, therefore, he doesn’t like to make mess, which is the beauty of him as a cat.

He hates baths, since he doesn’t like the water or soap in his fur, and if he’s having a bath, he knows it’s because he is dirty, and just the look of the dirt seeping off of him in the water is enough to make him meow a really high pitch moan of distaste.

“me-OW~~ Get me out! I swear, I will bite you!”

But again, he is a very gentle cat. He likes to sit in your lap if you don’t force him, since he is a very independent cat. He likes to be surrounded by your warmth, and he likes to rub up against you when you’re still.

What do you aspire to do in 2018? I'll put all my strength into accomplish everything that falls onto my plate!

What would you do if you won 100 million yen in the lottery? I've been saving up to buy a house. If I had 100 million yen, I'd just buy one (laughs).

What would you do if you had a time machine? I'd go back to the past and practice my jump rope skills.

What would you do with your last day on Earth? I would be with my family.

What would you eat on your last day on Earth? Salted beef tongue, of course! I want to eat the things I like!

If you went to an uninhabited island and could only bring one thing, what would you bring? Everything you need for camping (laughs).

If you were reborn in another world, what would you want to become? A final boss. I want to be strong.

Art Growth Compilation

I really enjoy doing posts about improvement in art.

It makes me feel better about my work, especially with how busy I am these days.

I wanted to compile all the comparisons I’ve made over the years and kinda discuss the posts, for myself or others.

I thought it’d be funny to start with comparing how I first drew on a tablet, using dodge and burn tools, to how I do now which is using layers and actually painting. It’s funny to look back on that, you know?

I linked the post I made, compiling all the month to month memes from 2003-2017 that I try and do yearly. And everything else is under a cut ;w;’‘/

Most artists have done a drawing of themselves and a few Pokemon, or their team. I did that in 2010, and was dissatisfied with my work...

I took a crack again in 2013 after I’d learned to draw more animals and not be so Edgy(tm) I really liked the results. I still didn’t use references though, because I was lazy. I just didn’t want to. I still was on that boat feeling like I was CHEATING. I wasn’t being CREATIVE if I looked at references.

Artists get stuck on using reference and it’s AWFUL. USE THEM. USE TWENTY. LEARN!! It’s so HELPFUL, I wish I had started sooner.

In 2014 though -

I tried again.

I had gotten better at anatomy, but most of all, I started to work off references more. I started to really focus on not stylizing so much, but to work on actually making things look like things. I started to work on caring about COMPARISON sizes. Composition!!

While Pokemon reference sizes are -wiggle hands- and while my team changed up, I was satisfied that I could draw Arbok ACTUALLY like a cobra now, Meowth is easy given it’s just a noseless cat so to speak, Haunter is literally a triangle cloud - I was satisfied having drawn that team.

My secondary team in the new games? I was excited to draw them. It was fresh and new and FUN and it turned out PRECIOUS.

I learned better how to proportion things in an image for layout, and just... making characters feel COHESIVE in the same space.

It was a nice thing to keep visiting. I have a sketch in the works for an update even hopefully.

These pieces are kind of interesting to me too, because they’re towards the end of my era of THIN lineart?

My lineart has gone from this, and THIS,  to this.

Literally I use to not believe in line weight, I can still do thin work of course, but I’m not a fan of trying to FORCE it like I use to? Even the second link, I went from the SMALLEST brush in Sai, to using a marker brush that had barely ANY give, to a custom brush on Sai that acts like a Paint Chat brush I use to use with friends online!

That’s what I mean about style too, like you may reserve yourself about things - like not coloring black in and outlining with white, or certain ways you do things. But the growth and changing and figuring FUN ways to color that black etc is where the fun of art comes in, to me??

Learn. EXPERIMENT. PUSH!

A few months ago, I did my first redraw. Of this piece from 2012.

Six years difference.

This was interesting for a number of reasons. There’s aspects I like more in the old one, but not many. I really like the pose a bit better, but I like the casual closeness that I did in the new one because that’s more my Shepard.

But technically speaking, it’s worlds better because I took time. I paid attention to details. I did fun things instead of rushing. I took time with my coloring and didn’t SMEAR it around. I had a friend who use to complain I drew so fast and they felt so SLOW, but I love what that taught me. I started taking more time on my art, and enjoying it more since I caught more mistakes and vastly improved. By leaps and bounds.

It’s amazing what a difference six years makes in not only style, which is often a FOCUS of these things? My style has come awkwardly and naturally to me over the years of critically picking certain things apart? but I really love where it’s gotten.

I have things I want to get back to, but I love... where it is, and CAN be?

But it’s wild to me how much change happens in technical handling? It’s a hand in hand thing, you can’t focus on one or the other only, or the other suffers.

Honestly this has been my favorite improvement to notice though?

Kisame was a character I felt I should be able to draw EASILY? Not so much. Itachi? ALSO EASY. Not so much??

Kisame has weird eyes to grasp how to draw? Thus focusing on them kept making them wonky to me!! On top of that, he’s everything I’ve been use to drawing for AGES because he has a muscular body, with a smaller waist? ... that was something I was use to drawing? I still was awkward getting back into the swing of that... Drawing HIS HAIR though? NOT SO EASY....

But like, Itachi should have been easy, but I have a thing about him appearing too feminine as he gets drawn because his eyelashes, and I’ve really found a nice... medium at this point?

But even still like my face styles and eye styles are finally to a comfortable point for me? I have stopped focusing on some weird things with Itachi’s hair and just... DO IT? But even still like...

The improvement here is literally just if I don’t know how to do something, or I’m not satisfied with how I do it? I just keep at it.

It’s a theme of this post honestly... repetition, persistence.

Keep drawing it. Keep trying to figure out what it is that’s catching you off about how you do it. Don’t like how you do eyes or how they fit on the face? Look at facial structures and references and figure it out. Draw them separate and figure out how to apply them to what you are.

Remember there’s a skull in there. I draw the holes in the skull like the eye sockets, and the nose area to help my proportions for SURE.

I’ve also gotten to a nice marriage in my lineart? The piece before the recent one, those lines feel HARDER or HEAVIER? The newest piece seems...softer? Like I’m lighter handed again?

I really like critiquing my own growth on what is good or working better for me? Older pieces it looks like I’m putting lineweight for SAKE of it versus where it goes now?

My style shifts so RAPIDLY, it still is noticeably MY style to people, but parts shift so VIOLENTLY because I’m constantly picking at what I don’t LIKE.

It’s funny too in the case of Kisame and Itachi because consistently I’m drawing the SAME character over and over - can make you REALIZE how you’re doing something wrong?

Like, here’s a difference of eight years, and it’s all the brush I use now, and it REALLY shows how my style has changed - in the aspect of one point of reference?

I have a childhood favorite character too, of Daisuke, and I use to be bad at drawing boys, and I use to be SUPER bad at drawing fluffy hair?

It was something I specifically started to learn to do? And I started to draw Daisuke every few months or years for a while. Especially when I started to first REALIZE I didn’t like my style that much?

But the middle one was July 2009, top left is less than 6 months later, and the last one is about a year later. DRASTIC DIFFERENCE. But next -

This one was in 2012, when I started to do more with teeth, or first dipping my toes into anatomy. I started to focus more on HANDS too, I was super bad at them. Overall I started to focus more on making my art have...ages? Like a boy versus a man. Facial features being DIFFERENT.

I can look at this boring little bust and see that he comes off more of a teenage boy to me now. I need to work more on figuring how to draw asian features especially the eyes. Sometimes I hit the mark, other times I don’t.

but between this and 2012? Not too much has changed. I do hair fluffier now, and I angle the eyes better. The teeth not being outlined doesn’t give that weird effect where I might give him TOO MANY TEETH....

People do that and it’s easy but whoof.

So there’s still learning and adapting to do in QUICK drawings, you know? but I can still see there’s good things. That took me like 5 minutes to draw? Not bad honestly.

In it’s own bracket is original characters though too?? But also divergent of STYLE shifts because like...

OKAY. Nightmare Syndicate’s story.. started for me in 7th or 8th grade, that was when I was...14? 15? I’ve been fleshing it out for like 13 years, that’s wild haha!! I love my kids and all.

But okay so SIALI. She’s still fairly similar but I restructured her face for SURE. She’s gotten less edgy, she’s.... a teenage girl.

FELIX?? CHRIST. He’s been such a long journey!! More on that later?

Rot and even Cor?? Rot and Cor are a shorter span of development, but Rot started in Highschool so almost 10 years ago, and Cor has been fairly solid - but even just DRAWING him over three years? Go look at how much he changes.. I’m not married to concepts easily. haha!

People act like making a character you’re STUCK with it. Like Oh boy, I better make this character good, from the get go!!

I only worry about that with small potatoes like my Pillar(Gods) designs I just made for the comic?? Even still, small things will change with them I’m sure.

But not only has Felix and Siali changed, but they’ve GROWN with my style and DEFINED it even. I’ve had to adjust my style to support Felix’s look honestly a LOT. Bend my rules. Break my anatomy stickler attitude - and honestly, that’s the thing.

You have to learn the rules and anatomy BEFORE you can break them. A style built upon broken anatomy will fail you down the road if you just excuse everything with style.

Learn to draw the hands. Learn to draw the feet. Figure out the face. Bones exist. You can break the FUCK out of it once you learn how to do it, you know? Like I’ve seen so many styles I LOVE who are cartoony and BROKEN AS FUCK, but there’s still some STRUCTURE to it. Most of those people can still structure a face just fine, and the reason exaggeration works so well is because there’s like unwritten rules for what works and doesn’t based on that?

Idk.

Felix has a very elongated torso, he’s like 7′ or 8′ tall so I mean?? He’s... broken anatomy, but he’s... lanky - but his muscle is LITHE and stretched. It makes contextual sense. That’s the important part.

But even designs, it’s important to understand designs YOU make, or like... to understand they’ll CHANGE and that’s growth within your art too?

Like okay, example. Felix has a millipede inspired monster form. But with designing that? I still have to know how millipedes and SNAKES work because there's bones and vertebrae in there??

But there’s also the difference of like... CONCEPT, versus execution. You can design a fucking badass character, but understanding your own concept is SOMETHING.

I had no idea how this would play out, until I was mapping out his ‘midsection’ spikes? and man. MY STYLE WAS MADE FOR THIS CHALLENGE NOW. Which is so interesting how smooth my style has always been? Felix has defined ANGLES in it, and it’s hilarious tbh?

But even too, I’ve had to work with Felix’s monster form FACE, to break the rules to make it WORK the way I need it too?

On the anatomy subject too, like when I first got into Marvel comics 6 years ago or so? I had no idea how to do muscle structures?? I was so BAD at it.

I can look at this left image and CRINGE so badly at how NONE of those are muscles?? THOSE ARE THINGS I PERCEIVE AS MUSCLES. Like...

A course I took taught me to draw what I see, not what I know. That’s the whole point of that post that goes around about drawing a shrimp. Look it up. It’s hilarious and cute.

But it’s like, asking an artist to draw a bike, you can tell who uses reference and who WINGS it. It’s funny, but like it’s what you know versus what you see.

I started to study anatomy like crazy and was seeing improvements days at a time. The right image was done like... a month later? already I can see the muscles under the pectorals? those look normal now. the abs aren’t dough lumps under the skin in a perfect 6 pack, they’re the actual plane shapes.

I was trying to find a good reference for myself of learning to make men ‘thicker’ too in terms of the waist etc since the left is really...thin.... but...

A bit better, but even still, comparing these two - they’re 2 months apart? and I can see understanding more about arms and how they connect to the body, where the planes ACTUALLY lay for the chest and obliques and such?

I can see improvements from July 2012 up there, to - WHOOPS. I FORGOT TO CHANGE THE YEAR LMAO... TO FEBRUARY 2013...omg

I mean, I could go on and on about improvements I see, when I go through my art though? Gosh.

Like I’m seeing so SO many bad hands and feet in my old stuff, and just CRINGING because tricks I learned for myself by now?

I give so many pointers and streams and screenshares on discord still to help people with art and it cracks me up?? Like...

I dunno. I’m pretty mediocre tbh, but god damn.
