One of my favourite brain rotting tcf ideas is Cale having some tremor disorder. Basically, he has hands that randomly tremble without any reason.
It may be genetic to him, or he developed it as Cale because of not eating his meals properly and inevitably developing some vitamin deficiency.
Now comes the best part.
Imagine Cale, perhaps in some really gruesome battle, with blood of enemies and allies mixed around him. Imagine his family seeing Cale's stoic face, wondering how a person so young can be so brave, and then they see his hands shaking under his raven coat, even as they're curled tightly into a fist.
Imagine Cale looking at Jour's portrait, admiring her beauty and her alike face with his own. But then his family sees him, his gaze fixated on his mother's image and his hands trembling slightly.
Imagine him, standing at the forefront of some battle with his shields raised, with his hands trembling uncontrollably, even though he is not straining himself. The people protected under him can only tear up at his selflessness.
Imagine Cale after attacking the enemies with a wave of firebolts, but his hands again started shaking badly, even if he has them covered under his sleeves. His family misunderstands that as Cale hiding his pain.
Imagine Cale, resting on a couch after some battle, and when Raon, On and Hong excitedly climb upon his lap, he only smiles slightly and pats them with his trembling hands. The kids then worriedly inform Ron of this and Cale recieves sweet lemon tea for a whole week.
Imagine Cale talking about territory matters with Alberu, and Alberu is once again amazed by his dongsaeng's witty and almost experienced approaches to problems like war. But then he sees Cale's hands shaking while holding the tea cup, and he realises how absolutely not normal it is to not be nervous in such a situation. (Alberu later pledges to himself to give Cale the slacker life he always wished for.)
Just imagine Cale in any situation with trembling hands and it literally creates the most hilarious misunderstandings with some really wonderful angst.

THE STAR - Forgiveness after destruction.
You have endured many challenges and yet... you are ready to love again.
---
After so long, I can finally show you this Tubbo inspired by the Star Tarot arcana that I drew for XDivination. This was freshly after Wilbur's A Year Later stream. I thought Star fit him the best -- he's endured so much, but he has the hope to move on.
If you want to own this physically, check out my RedBubble!

I have been so slow with art recently (stress + busy + etc) but I want to share some not-so-recent Hogaraka sketches because she's been on my brain a lot
Excuse the half-hearted attempt at colouring I literally never colour traditionally

One of the things I really love about Pat's character is the way that in both the episodes that centre him (1x3 - Happy Death Day and 4x7 - It's Behind You) focus on the way that Pat is honoured and loved through Daley and the rest of his family. We see a lot of instances throughout the show of that being a father is a core part of Pat's personality, and by putting an emphasis on the ways that Pat lives on through his family the show further highlights this. Daley seems to show this the most, which is not that surprising given Carol was cheating on Pat for most of the marriage. The fact that they all visit Button House on Pat's death day and the way Daley mimics his dad in the home video is genuinely so heartwrenchingly beautiful, and I love it so much. It is so fitting for the character, and a really beautiful way to explore Pat's past!

seeing some people's reaction to weird gamer men oversexualizing kiriko is "mauga is right there, half naked, with serveral pin-up sprays" and while i do agree to an extent, i do feel like alot of people are kind of ignoring like. the racial element of mauga's sexualization, like i like mauga, he's hot, but the second i saw him in the short story, i wasn't a big fan of the whole "big savage brown indigenious guy" and it feels like very few people are pointing that out.
RIGHT LIKE. we cannot fix "gamer men fixate on fictional asian girls to a violent degree, usually in a racist way or enabling racist tropes already present in the character" with "gamer girls fixate on fictional brown men to a violent degree in a racist way or enabling racist tropes present in the character" like you guys are part of the same problemmmmmmm youre doing the same thinggg its not better because youre doing it to men like.
i think some people only want to see the kiriko problem as misogyny and while im not going to even pretend that ISNT a massive part of it, theres still like. a reason kiriko and d.va and mei are fascinations for these dudes. there is a pointed difference between the way these three get spoken about compared to their white counterparts (and their dark-skinned counterparts too - look at the responses to illari for a really easy comparison to how kiriko is treated). their ~exoticism~ as asian women is part of the appeal. even if you dont just wanna take the way dudes online treat them (like making a joke that shes "obvious pornbait" for speaking japanese and using JSL) as evidence of that, look at their marketing. kirikos whole thing is atheleisure traditional, shes got her Mystical Japanese Spiritualism Ninja Powers and her magic doggy and they constantly put her in japanese and korean fashion, and dva has been constantly crossing over with korean merch companies. i cant help but notice theres no brazilian IP crossovers or merch launches for lucio, or any attempt to Sell Peru To Gamers for illari. they couldnt even pick a town in Samoa to name maugas map after. these people wouldn't buy that stuff because it's not fetishized in the same way asia is.
but like. a lot of the people trying to Gotcha these racist dudes with an asian fetish just whip out their favourite racist tropes instead and its a really bad look. like you guys dont wanna examine how your examples of The Characters Its Okay To Hypersexualize are all brown? even the people who wanna fuck cassidy dont talk about him like this. or like. fuck if you want a good comparison for mauga lets look at roadhog. big half-naked tank who theyve been playing up a sexual energy/comic relief duology on since day one with racially insensitive cosmetic options. nobody treats it like its completely normal to talk about him that way. the dev team isnt pushing pinups of him out. he isnt flexing his boobs in trailers. hes a white dude*, so he gets the bare minimum dignity of being treated normally. incidentially hot, maybe, but for the most part his character is sold on being cool , funny and scary. mauga is being sold 50% on being a Sexy Rogue Love Interest and 50% on. releasing late. they put in so little effort for him to be anything else despite hyping him up as suuuper significant to the lore and a major gamechanger its almost embarrassing to watch. (this is why that short annoyed me so much for anyone keeping track).

I've finished season 2 of 9-1-1 and watched the tsunami arc of season 3 (plus some more random episodes here and there). A thought:
This show is genuinely funny and I honestly love how much the writers lean into comedy throughout the episodes. Writing a show about first responders demands a balance that's a hard to achieve. Obviously in real life every single small fire and accident with no fatalities can constitute a trauma for a person. Every 9-1-1 call is significant for the caller's life and could alter their entire existence. But from the perspective of making an interesting show, you can't write a house fire every episode. You need drama and you need cliffhangers and you need big moments, one every season. This show features what is a essentially a mini disaster movie every season. I love disaster movies so that is extremely fun for me personally, but a show like this could get unhinged very fast. And it kind of does, but I find the comedic aspect of it balances out the dramatic moments and give it an air of unseriousness, surprisingly in a good way. Kind of like the writers saying "it's ok to laugh while watching this". It's supposed to be funny. It's ok to think this is ridiculous and wouldn't really happen like this in reality, but let's roll with it. Let's play pretend for a little while. Let's have fun.
And I think Angela Basset and Peter Krause are executing their assignments in this direction really well, between her deadpan delivery of lines and his facial expressions, they carry out the comedic scenes flawlessly. I would say these are sometimes even better than some of the more dramatic moments, which do sometimes fall into cheesiness and suffer from "no one talks like that in real life" disease.

did u know travie has twice reffered to fob as his "little big brothers" since they kinda took gch under their wing back in the day. bc I think about that and cry a little
YEAH GOD fun fact before i was even into fob i was sooo into gch, the quilt was my first ever owned physical album AND the first album i downloaded onto my little ipod so … having gch/travie and fob so intrinsically linked together and supportive of each other and you can see so much love and respect they have for each other is just. god it’s everything to me i’m gonna WEEP it’s also why when travie and patrick are on the same track together it makes me crazy or like when travie had patrick tag along to some shows during the hiatus so they could perform together like. yeah. yeah i get you anon
