Weird noises while you’re working: is hyper focusing so hard that they don’t notice Cabinets and door mysteriously open: Fuck, I always leave these open 🙄 Lightbulbs flickering even though they just got put in last week: ugh, time for new lightbulbs? I can’t even remember the last time I changed them. Weird drafts: a vent has been broken for years since I’ve moved in, but I keep forgetting to figure out which one and fix it. Weird smells: I probably forgot to throw something away. I always do that haha Bruises and marks appearing on body: I wonder how I got this. I probably did something and forgot lmao

Thinking about how "Timeless (From the Vault)" and "History of Man" are both closing tracks looking back at romantic relationships throughout history except the perspectives differ based on the kind of relationship the narrator is in. The narrator in "Timeless" is in a happy relationship so she sees love in the old photographs, but the narrator in "History of Man" has just endured the loss of someone she loved so much and who stopped valuing her so she looks back at the men who have broken women's hearts in the past.

Mewtwo is the saddest pokemon because its' suffering is one of a kind and its' existence is by nature unnatural even for the pokemon world. We have a million dead children ghost type pokemon. There's plenty of pokemon who can see the darkness in their future. Mewtwo is one pokemon created in a lab and in 90% of canon afaik the first interaction with humans was being used/experimented on. The first movie it appeared in (I only recently got to see it) centered around it trying to find a purpose in life. But there is no greater purpose for Mewtwo. Mewtwo is an experiment escaped from its tank and utterly alone. Mewtwo is alone. Probably will be alone forever, at least there will never be another creature like it. Mewtwo, like Frankensteins monster, has no place in this world and knows it. No ghost pokemon can match that level of angst. No legendary or psuedo legendary or mythical pokemon can say their creation was unnatural or that they don't at least somewhat belong in this world. Mewtwo is alone.

The Duffers being huge Stephen King fans, them referencing his works multiple times in the show, like with Bob's story about the scary clown in Maine in s2... got me thinking how cute it would be to have a scene of Mike carving M + W on wood, as a nod to R + E in IT, but with Will there with him, instead of him being alone and having to hide it like Richie. Another Finn Wolfhard character engraving his initial with the one of his gay lover, with the difference that Mike and Will get to have a happy ending, unlike Richie and Eddie (💔). I think it would be really cute and on brand too, seeing how ST is full of references to other pieces of media

Don't know if anyone else has pointed this out, but in the description of Vega’s latest video there’s this quote: "lips that would kiss form prayers to broken stone" and it’s from T.S. Elliot's 'The Hollow Men' poem, which I’ve realised has been referenced MANY TIMES in Vega's videos (and videos concerning him) which is very exciting for my pattern-loving-theory-scrambling brain!

Off the top of my head alone, I believe that in Caelum's reverse comfort audio (the very first mention of Vega) the desc says: "not with a bang but a whimper"

And in Vega's first video (with Freelancer) the desc reads: "between the emotion and the response falls the shadow"

In his first video with him in department custody, the desc is: "between the essence and the descent falls the shadow"

And in the next: "between the motion and the act falls the shadow".

All of these are lines from the same poem and the poem itself is full of references to death and fading stars and eyes and kingdoms and the world ending and all fun theory things that suddenly all seem VERY important and familiar!!!!
