MEET MY CURRENT POKEMON TEAM!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like this should be a proper introduction for them, so hear me out, folks!!! My team would also stay like this from now on.
Jersey is my mew, and my first pokemon! Let's say his mom left him and now I took care of the mew. He has a stubborn head, and a hasty personality too. He's very clingy to me ever since he was so little.
Vinny is a snivy I got from professor Juniper around 2 years ago, also my first starter. I believe she's some sort of unusual shiny variant??? Either way she's beautiful! What a serious looking fella. Such a perfectionist, and somehow always proud of her powers.
Bagelmon is the first pokemon I caught. He's from Johto by the way. Better be careful around him, cuz he got a strong and big ass jaw. He's a bold totodile, also the one behind the raspy noises heard in my house. I'm pretty sure he's that type of a strongly defiant guy.
Nollene is my first hatched pokemon. She's still young, maybe the equivalent of a 4 - 5 year old. Her zoroark mom is from the wild but now lives under my mom's ownership. She's a quiet gal, but naturally still a trickster, like most zoruas. One thing that represents her the most is the high curiosity she has of her surroundings.
Redwheel is a shiny cyclizar I caught from my trip to Paldea. He's also the first mount pokemon I have. Don't get me wrong, he's super fast! He has a jolly personality, and as an impetuous and silly guy, he keeps trying his best to make his loved ones happy.
I think.... that's all! I guess! They're all not perfect, but that's what makes them want to accept and love each other. Me? Yes! I love them all dearly! They always knew how to make my days better!

Humans | Lowblood Trolls | Midblood Trolls | Highblood Trolls | Cherubs
Happy belated 4/13 everybody!
So it’s clearly no secret that Homestuck and Pokemon are two of my favorite fandoms. This of course means I had to combine them somehow, and the best way to do that was to turn the Homestuck kids into Pokemon trainers, right?
Originally, I was gonna go the lazy route and do the Pokemon Team Planner to make up their (and the Trolls’ and Cherubs’) teams, and I’m still going to do that later, but the problem is I can’t do that until the Gen 9 dex is added to Pokemon HOME.
So instead, I just drew the Beta and Alpha Kids with what I personally think their signature Pokemon would be!
For an explanation:
John Egbert: John’s ace is Quagsire, also known as Casey! This should have obvious reasons behind it lol. He also has a Mimikyu, to represent the stuffed bunny from Con Air. I like to think John found that Mimikyu and mistook it for a ratty old Pikachu doll, only for Rose to reveal to him what it really is like a week or so later.
Rose Lalonde: Rose of course needed a Psychic-type cat and I could think of no better Pokemon to fit that description than Meowstic (Espeon could also count, but we don’t know for sure if it’s really a cat). Since the cat is obviously supposed to be Jaspers, I used the male Meowstic. He communicates with Rose telepathically sometimes, and once shared a secret with her that she never decoded until years later.
Dave Strider: Now many of you probably expected him to have Corviknight, and I’m sure he has one on his team, but I think Archeops works better as his ace, and no not just because it’s my personal favorite Pokemon. Archeops not only works for Dave’s bird motif, but it also fits with his love of preserved dead things and paleontology. He probably got it as a Plume Fossil that he added to his collection and then Jade was like “You should try getting it revived” and Dave was like “You can revive them!?!?”
Jade Harley: Jade was actually surprisingly tough to pick a Pokemon for, since there are so many dog Pokemon out there who could play Becquerel’s part. I decided on Houndstone -- it’s “the most loyal of dog Pokemon” for starters, it’s white and it has access to Phantom Force so it can teleport. Also it has no eyes. Like in canon, Bec used to belong to Jade’s Grandpa, but in this AU, I like to think Bec is the ghost of Halley, Grandpa Harley’s old dog.
Jane Crocker: Jane was trickier, as she doesn’t technically have an animal motif like the others, but I ultimately decided on Stoutland, because it both fits with her love of detectives and has an absolutely fantastic mustache! Of course Jane would like this one XD Being the most normal of the Alphas, Jane most likely got Stoutland as a gift from her Dad.
Roxy Lalonde: Roxy ran into the same problem as Jade in that there were so many cat Pokemon to choose from. Ultimately, I went with Sneasler (and yes, Sneasler is a cat) because it fits with Roxy’s Fistkind strife specibus and honestly I just like the vibes these two have together. Two sassy queens XD If you’re wondering how Roxy got a Hisuian Sneasel, I like to think she appearified her by accident and decided to keep her. Also they’re both trans. Deal with it.
Dirk Strider: Dirk got Ceruledge because it’s one of the few Pokemon that’s explicitly a swordsman, but more importantly, it also very clearly looks like Derse. I imagine that Dirk’s Bro left him a Charcadet with the appropriate armor to evolve it into a Ceruledge, and the two often spar with each other.
Jake English: Contrasting with Dirk, Jake gets an Armarouge. Whereas Dirk has a sword-wielding Pokemon resembling Derse, Jake gets a cannon-wielding Pokemon resembling Prospit! It fit so perfectly, honestly. I think that Jake would’ve found his Charcadet while exploring his island and eventually dug up some armor for it in an ancient ruin of some sort.
I would’ve done the Trolls, Cherubs and maybe even some of the Carapacians too, but this was exhausting enough to work on so maybe later. I still definitely wanna do those Team Planner things though, so I’ll try to get around to that when the site makes the right updates!
EDIT: Fixed a portion of Jane’s Stoutland that I forgot to color.

Pokemon Emerald: Ralts Only
The Wally challenge. AKA Why Would Anyone Do This, Please Love Yourself!
I've been watching frankly too much solo Pokemon content and decided to try my own run. But rather than anything remotely sensible I decided to start with Ralts. Oh. Ralts. We're going to get extremely acquainted with one another aren't we.
Ralts is quite bad and honestly a baffling choice for a solo only run.
Tumblr media
It's base stats are really low, honestly lower than you would think they should be. It's BST is lower than every other Pokemon you can catch in the area, that's how little they want you to use this Pokemon. But even worse is...
Tumblr media
the movepool. There's good moves on here and getting Psychic at the brisk level of 26 is really nice! But we are going to have to gatekeep gaslight girlboss our way past a lot of the early game Pokemon in Emerald. Every Poochyena is an Avengers-level threat.
Tumblr media
Let's get started (and the last time I use an emulator's screenshot function again, holy shit).
You might be wondering if the run is even possible at all. After all, the very first thing you do in Pokemon Emerald is defeat a Level 2 Zigzagoon, and you might notice that we don't have any damage dealing moves. Only Growl. Surely the run is just dead?
Tumblr media
Nope! It turns out that if the Zigzagoon would KO your Pokemon, it will actually run away instead! Which is both really funny, and depressing. There's no way out for us. We're Sisyphus, and we're assumed happy.
Tumblr media
It is at this point that the realization dawns on myself. We cannot actually get to Route 102 without first defeating Brendan, and his Level 5 starter. Eagle eyed readers might notice we replaced Treecko, so Brendan is going to have Mudkip. (Edit from the future: what the fuck are you talking about how did you mess this up?) How, exactly, are we going to succeed in actually defeating him? Well, I have a plan.
It's not a good one, but it exists.
Now this isn't exactly a speedrun. I'm not exactly confident enough in my ability to play through these games quickly enough to make time feel like a relevant metric. I will eventually win, no matter how long it takes. ;w;
But for now, I do the most important part of the run. I save the game and open up PKHex. I'm using a Ralts, so I need as much help as I can get here, and besides, it wouldn't be fair if this Ralts wasn't as good as possible, right?
Tumblr media
We actually got really lucky on the nature, as Naive nature is exactly what I was hoping for. 45 base Speed is going to need all the help it can get, so I'm happy for the 10% bonus. Sp.Def is probably our least important stat as well. Now you might wonder why I'm not going for Timid or Modest and...the answer is, unfortunately, we're going to need our Attack stat for a lot of early game fights and throughout the run.
The choice of ability for this run was Trace. Neither Trace or Synchronize are really that good in all honesty, but Trace gives us a bit of information and can potentially be good depending on the situation. Synchronize is neat as a status punisher, but it comes up too infrequently and isn't that good to boot.
Tumblr media
Now it isn't immediately obvious, but this actually isn't a perfect Ralts. This Ralts is 31/30/31/30/31/30. This is because this run is going to be using Hidden Power. I'm personally going to be locking in Hidden Power Fire for this run for two reasons. The first is that I think the coverage on Steel-types is going to prove critical for one fight in particular, and the second is, I don't actually think Hidden Power Fighting is good. It sounds like a good answer for Steel and Dark-types, but in Generation III, Hidden Power Fighting is Physical and that means we can't boost it, and it's impacted by Intimidate, which is surely not remotely relevant.
Also for those who don't know, Caitlin is the name of one of my girlfriends, @juci-luci . It felt fitting to make her a Ralts. Love you <3
So let's talk about my plan for Rival 1. Brendan 1. The Mudkiperino. If we had access to Route 102, this would actually be nothing worth talking about. We would mull about in the grass until we got a Ralts or a Seedot encounter, and then use all of our Growl PP until we could use Struggle. But...
Tumblr media
Like I said, we actually cannot go to Route 102 yet. So we have to find a way to deplete our Growl PP...and not go to the Pokecenter to heal our HP at all. Let's look at our options here.
Tumblr media
Route 101 has three available encounters: Poochyena is definitely the worst, because it's only move at Levels 2-3 is Tackle, so it will constantly attack us. Zigzagoon is also pretty bad though since its a Normal-type, and will do a lot of damage to us as it rams into our face. Wurmple isn't a very strong Pokemon thankfully, so it could work as long as we keep trying for a Level 2 Wurmple.
Tumblr media
If you're curious about Route 103, don't worry, it's even worse. Wingull doesn't even care about Growl and will blast us with its special STAB Water Gun. This ain't it.
Tumblr media
We actually get pretty lucky and find a Level 2 Wurmple on our first attempt! Now begins...the pain. At -6, this Wurmple is only doing 2 damage to us but what's actually kind of weird here is that the Growls don't actually impact the damage. Wurmple's Attack stat and Level are already so low that the rounding evens out everything anyways. Just an incredibly weird quirk of how the damage formula works. But as an additional quirk, no matter what Wurmple's Attack stat can be, a critical hit will always deal 5 damage. This has a couple of interesting knock-on effects.
The first is we don't need to heal in battle. Once we get to a low enough HP total, we can just run away a use a Potion out of battle. This might seem odd, but it's actually beneficial to do so, since Wurmple's damage isn't affected by anything we do, but String Shot does meaningfully impact our Speed. Outspeeding the Wurmple will give us at least one additional guaranteed Growl, plus it means I can avoid using items in battle entirely. :D
The second is that, ignoring the possibility of crits, we always can waste a minimum of 9 Growls with each Wurmple we fight, and Wurmple has 50/50 odds of using Tackle or String Shot, so we'll likely waste even more. Despite my initial concerns about Potion rationing, we might be able to get away without having to use many Potions!
Tumblr media
I'm not going to labor the point too much, but we do manage to waste a whopping 23 Growls during our first encounter. That's what I call progress!
A few short encounters later and we've finally used all 40 PP for Growl, and now have access to Struggle. Generation III is the last generation before Gamefreak decided to bust the kneecaps on this move to prevent shenanigans with infinitely long fights (see: why Wobbuffet was banned in competitive Pokemon for so long), so we won't be taking too much recoil.
Tumblr media
It is precisely this moment where I realized I needed to replace Torchic and not Treecko in order to get my rival to pick Mudkip. Honestly I have no excuses for this, I started this at about 1 in the morning. We're just going to live with this embarrassment and move on.
Tumblr media
I'm not really convinced this fight is doable at this level, but that is actually a fairly decent amount for Struggle to do. Ultimately it's very close but I needed Brendan to be slightly less aggressive with his attacks.
Tumblr media
I've actually never whited out at this fight so I didn't even know respawning here was a thing that happened. It might also be because I didn't visit the Pokemon Center. The things you learn! Unfortunately this is going to be a reset, so let's just add this here...
Reset Counter: 1
There we go.
Tumblr media
I want to make it clear how thin the margins are here. I think this is doable, but it is probably going to require some above average luck.
Tumblr media
Growl is a blessing and a curse in this battle. On one hand, if Torchic uses Growl, it's a turn where it's not hitting you with Scratch, which deals 4-5 damage without a critical hit. But, Ralts is already doing 1 recoil damage to itself, so Growl reducing our damage output also, paradoxically, means we are going to deal more damage to ourselves with Struggle.
Tumblr media
On the 4th attempt, Caitlin just decides she's had enough and scores a critical hit on her 3rd Struggle, not only knocking out the Torchic but doing it without taking a single hit. I knew she could do it. :3 We get a nice 69 EXP for our troubles and...oh. Well that's unfortunate.
Tumblr media
Oh they REALLY did not want you using this Pokemon. Ralts being in either the worst or the second worst leveling group (depending on how you view Erratic honestly) is truly tragic. We didn't even come close to leveling up after the Torchic fight. Which means we're going to need EXP to help us out. Before I forget...
Reset Counter: 3
Tumblr media
Oh boy do the hits just keep on coming. Emerald in particular REALLY hates Ralts with every fiber of its being. If this were Ruby or Sapphire, this Poochyena would actually be a Zigzagoon, and we could grind up to Level 6, learn Confusion, and push past it. But Poochyena is a Dark-type, meaning its immune to Confusion. So while we could get Confusion...there's no point. We might as well try and see if this fight is doable at this level.
Tumblr media
Fortunately the answer is yes. We even got a little lucky with a Turn 3 Howl, but even if the Poochyena just used Tackle all three turns, it wouldn't have mattered. Keep in mind...for most of the early game, Every Single Poochyena has to be dealt with this way. The first available damage dealing move Ralts will have to deal with Dark-types is Thief. From the Slateport Museum. We're dealing with a special kind of bad here.
I'm gonna stop here because this post is already long as fuck, but the next one will include the first gym leader, and the Poochyena that will make us want to use literally any other Pokemon.

Welp my dumbass decided to make Wednesday pokemon trainer cards instead of updating my WIPs. Which I'm going to do after I post this🤣
I'm not fully happy about Tyler, eugene, and the xaviers teams. Those may change.
Almost everyone always gets a legendary/mythical.
I know literally no one will read this or care. But I figured I could post it anyway.
Tumblr media
I gave her Skorupi because of Nero, so he's her partner.
Gliscor because he's just a beast of a mon and reminds me of a scorpion/bat that fits Wednesday's dark theme. Tyler had given this to her as a present. On their first anniversary, it immediately became a favorite.
Corviknight because Wednesday is referred to as the Raven, and he just seems like the most raven mon (even though he's a crow). Wednesday found this pokemon back when it was a Rookiedee. It had fallen out of its nest. Instead of feeding it to her mother's Pyroar, she kept it.
Hydreigon because he's just a dark dragon, and I feel like he fits Wednesday's style. Wednesday had found him as a deino, the poor blind Dino had injured himself. She decided to take him in and raise him to become a terrifying dragon.
Dusknoir because he's a big scary ghost that eats souls in his chest. Out of all the ghost types, i feel like this one fits Wednesday the most. This mon snuck up on Wednesday and followed her throughout a haunted graveyard, not giving up until she caught him.
It was between Giratina (the underworld/antimatter legend) or Yveltal. Her legend I chose is Yveltal, He's the legendary of Death, basically destroying everything in sight.
(I feel bad for doing this to Tyler)
Tumblr media
His partner - Cubone - because they both lost their moms. Cubone wears his mothers dead skull on his head. Tyler's mother had given this to him just before she passed.
(Might replace.) Bewear - literally because Tyler is sweet & adorable on the outside, but on the inside, he's hiding a dangerous monster, just like bewear.
Mimikyu - because the creature inside the suit just wants to be loved, just like Tyler. So he hides behind a suit made up of a beloved pokemon. But everytime it's trainer looks underneath the suit, they die.
Scovillian - because it's a funny play on Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Two faces, two different personalities.
Garchomp - Because this mon is anger filled and very hard to tame also very powerful. Kinda reminds me of the hyde.
His legend is Mewtwo. A legend made by humans and hates humanity. Reminds me of Tyler's tragic past, hating others who don't understand what he's been through.
Tumblr media
Her partner is a shiny Spheal - Honestly, I just feel like Enid would love every single pokemon that's adorable.
Shiny) Politoad because he's just a very happy frog, and I feel like it matches. It Enids a very bubbly personality.
Arcanine - i feel like even though it's a big scary dog, she loves it because it's Fluffy and loyal. Just like Enid.
Lycanroc (Day form) just a little nod to her wolf form.
Dragonair - Honestly, it's just a beautiful mid evo that I feel like Enid would love
And her legend is Mew. It's just a cute, sweet cat that has all the DNA of each pokemon. Something I think Enid would take care of and love.
Tumblr media
So Ajax's starter is Ivysaur - because the bulbasaur line is famous for smoking grass
Ekans because of Ajax being a Gorgon and his little snakes poke their heads out sometimes.
Slowbro because it seems like a good pokemon to get high with.
Hisuian Typhlosion because he just looks like a depressed cool boy like my baby Ajax.
Noivern - because I just see Ajax being the chill guy at parties and noiverns ears remind me of speakers.
His legend is a shiny Rayquaza just because he's a giant space snek noodle🤣
Tumblr media
Eugene's starter is a shiny caterpie, figured he'd just be a bug type trainee.
Beedrill - because of his powers to control bees.
Heracross- same as the caterpie. Just figured he'd have a bug army.
Dewpider because he's just an adorable bean like Eugene.
Appletun because I just feel like he'd love chunky pokemon. Because chunky pokemon are the best.
wobbuffet because its a psychic pokemon and it's insane ability to use counter and I feel like Eugene would need a happy mon to keep him company.
Yes Eugene doesn't get a legend. Just couldn't find one that fit.
Tumblr media
Her partner being Primarina - has to do with her being a siren outcast. Her partner looks like a mermaid and sings like sirens and mermaids are known for.
Being the popular girl at school, I'd imagine she'd have tons of beautiful pokemon. A florges. Being a bouquet of flowers fits that perfectly
Again, Hatterene fits the popular girl status perfectly. Another beautiful fairy type to add to Bianca's team
Bianca would also have a shiny Altaria, it being her pride since it's a rare golden color.
Beautifly - a rare evolution of Wurmple, being very beautiful & every time it flaps its wings, sparkly pollen falls with each flap.
I chose Meloetta fighting form for her mythical pokemon. It has unique singing abilities, and being strong but beautiful would fit Bianca perfectly.
Tumblr media
Xavier surprisingly got a card. I didn't want to download a picture of him into my phone so he gets no picture.
He gets a shiny muk as his partner. Because he looks like throw up. Just like how I feel about Xaviers character.
He gets an Exeggutor because it's derpy in a stupid way🤣
Grafaiai because he's an artist.
Garbordor - because it's a pokemon made of trash.
Xavier does get a legend. But it's the worst one. He gets regice because it's a trash legend.🤣

Ooo when does Akari’s hair start growing in white? Does it happen after everything, while they’re on the run, or while they’re still in hisui? All of them have really interesting ways they could be taken…
Omg That is verrrrry true…
Ok, so if it starts to happen before the time travel in Hisui then her choosing to dye her hair would be less a spur of the moment choice and more a cautious necessity. In this case her hair wouldn’t grow in entirely white all at once but instead it starts small. At first she thinks it could be a result of stress but it keeps spreading. She wears her bandanna constantly to hide her roots because she’s afraid how the people of Hisui would view this strange phenomenon. Arezu thankfully just thinks she’s going grey early and is happy to dye and style it for her every few weeks.
But gossip does get around and whispers of ‘cursed’ and ‘claimed by the baneful fox’ spreads. Those peoples behavior towards her is largely that of pity than hostility though, as if they expect her to one day travel out to the Icelands and not return. A few warn their children to avoid her out of fear but never say anything to her face. They all do still hold a respect for her after saving all of Hisui.
She shows what’s happening to her hair to professor Laventon to see if he can make anything of it. At first he hypothisize to could be a side effect of exposure to the rift. He insist on calling in Ingo for questioning as by this point they’ve discovers the arc-transceiver and know he comes from the future too. But when asked if his hair has always been silver he can indeed confirm that it has. His memory may be damaged but knows that’s true. After all, the vague memory of the smiling man who looks like him also has silver hair.
After this the Professor starts to consider other possibilities. Her repeated exposure to frenzied nobles is one. Or maybe it could honestly be a genetic trait from her family. Rei is the one to suggest that the rumors arn’t that far off and it’s because of all her ghostly companions. No one else in Hisui has had so many before.
This suggestion sparks a memory in Ingo, a snippet of a conversation of a person explaining ghost pokemon’s effect on children. ‘Your nephews eyes are just fine, sir. This commonly can happen with ghost starters.’
Akari is honestly relived that this is just a thing that can happen while Professor Laventon is intrigued. He tries to question Ingo further on the mater but he can’t recall much beyond that small bit. He needs something to actively jog his memory to access it. Laventon quietly laments the loss of such fascinating knowledge his lost memory’s could hold, but sincerely thanks Ingo for what he could remember.
Much later, after they spend nearly a month on the run, the roots of her hair have grown to show only 50% of her hair is still dark slate. Elesa comments on how, if she were to let it grow out now, she would look like a Zebstika!

Pokemon starters
Quotes from the games, movies, anime, manga and just about everything else represented.  Feel free to change pronounces as needed.  Send one for my muse’s reaction.

“I didn't know Vikings still existed...”
"That's okay.  You'll find lots of other girls to reject you."
“There are bad ways to win and good ways to lose. What’s interesting and troubling is that it’s not always clear which is which. A flipped coin doesn’t always land on heads or tails. Sometimes it may never land at all.”
“Develop amnesia conveniently and forget everything you heard!”
"All of you... Lend me your power! The power... To protect the world!"
“Mostly I breathe fire, but want to exchange numbers?”
“Getting wrapped up in worries is bad for your body and spirit. That’s when you must short out your logic circuits and reboot your heart.”
"I hate water, especially WET water."
"I like shorts! They're comfy and easy to wear!"
"Well, if you just try hard enough, things will work out. Won't they?"
"Sorry! I was just swearing on my dreams to the sun, the skies and the sea!! Please wait till I'm done!"
"Nah...he probably started a rock band! He's got the hairdo for it!"
“Living is using time given to you. You cannot recall lost time.”
"This is perfect. That cliff is the perfect spot for our first meeting."
"That's progress..at least his mouth is working."
"There’s no sense in going out of your way just to get somebody to like you. "
"Everybody makes a wrong turn once in a while."
"Oh, I left my motorcycle at the front desk."
“I’ll use my trusty frying pan… as a drying pan!”
"Perhaps you are unique, a unique human. One of a kind."
"Reality can really bum you out..."
“So, this is my power… but what is my purpose?”
"You haven't even won yet!  I won't let such fun end so easily."
“You see, sometimes friends have to go away, but a part of them stays behind with you.”
“If there is someone in this world who understands you, it feels like that person is right beside you. Even if you’re as far apart as the end of the land and top of the sky.”
“Living is using time given to you. You cannot recall lost time.”
“You gotta keep smiling, no matter how tough things are getting”
"We don't have any money, but we'd be happy to work to pay for any damages."
“Do you always need a reason to help somebody?”
“The important thing is not how long you live. It’s what you accomplish with your life.”
“Me, give up? No way!”
"The circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant, but it’s what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are. "
"I'm too young for math!"
"I'm too weak to work...I haven't eaten since breakfast."
"It's you and me. I know it's my destiny."
"A good friend left me and I miss her everyday. But I know we’ll always be friends forever."
"When I think about it, you, too, are all alone in the world."
"Make your wonderful dream a reality, it will become your truth. If anyone can, it’s you.”
"Why would I do something as silly as that? Escaping is just your opinion, right? I chose the course of action I thought is correct, you're always pushing me around, I wanted to say this before...You're not the boss of me!"
"We hope to see you again!"
"My favorite hard work. I believe there is nothing that replaces the discipline that is required to achieve our goals. I don’t think reflection I don’t think books, I don’t think guidance or any other thing for places the fact that we have to take action."
"I don’t like to say I’m great but that’s what people tell me."
"Change your perspective, and the reality changes."
“When you have lemons, you make lemonade; and when you have rice, you make rice balls.”
"Ha ha! This gym is great! It is full of women!"
"Y'all are Stupid!"
"By the way, that'll be a two-dollar charge for resting on my rock."
"My body is ready."
“We do have a lot in common. The same earth, the same air, the same sky. Maybe if we started looking at what’s the same, instead of looking at what’s different, well, who knows?”
“I’m totally unprepared to deal with life’s realities.”
"This brat’s tough. Tougher than I can put into words, and I know a lot of words."
"Hey, how can we breathe underwater?"
“If anybody’s out there, you can come out. And if you’re a monster or a ghost, you can stay where you are.”
“Don’t worry that pretty blue head of yours, I’ve got a plan.”
"Children are not just things that belong to their parents."
"Oh our experiment isn't over yet, it's just beginning. Now the serious testing begins."
"My face is reflected in the water. It's a shining grin full of hope, or maybe it's a look of somber silence struggling with fear…"
"The strength to protect, huh? But what are you really protecting? A tomorrow that will only end up being worse than today?"
"Even If we don’t understand each other, that’s not a reason to reject each other. There are two sides to any argument. Is there one point of view that has all the answers? Give it some thought."
“I don’t want to miss anything you do from now on!”
“The more wonderful the meeting, the sadder the parting.”
"whatever happens from here on, my heart is already set."
“It’s more important to master the cards you’re holding than to complain about the ones your opponent was dealt.”
"Well, if you just try hard enough, things will work out. Won't they?"
“These are not shorts! These are half-pants!”
"The lats time you cooked, you wiped out eight of my nine lives."
"What is this pressure I feel...? Something... is enraged?"
"They’re not here. Let’s ride the ferris wheel and see if we can spot them. I love ferris wheels… the circular motion… the mechanics… they’re like collections of elegant formulas."
“Please make sure the bed is empty before getting in it!”
“A wildfire destroys everything in its path. It will be the same with your powers unless you learn to control them.”
"We're standing here for no reason, and one day we'll be gone for no reason."
“Take charge of your destiny.”
“I will show you that my love for my friends permeates every cell in my body.”
"Let's Go! Kneecaps!"
“Physical wounds can be treated without much difficulty, but emotional wounds are not so easy to heal.”
"With enemies like that, who needs friends?"
"Our lucky star is shining today!"
“Don’t you know that love is the most important thing in the whole world?”
"If I were to make bad puns when I’m supposed to be telling a joke, doesn’t it give people even more of an opportunity to tease me and start a funny back-and-forth?"

The pokémon team anon has returned. I read the Hound Nights demo and got creative.
Starling:
- Starly. The names match! Also, that is Starling's starter, they left the cult together.
- Rufflet. Another cult buddy that escaped with Starling. Rufflet's evolution, Braviary, has this dex entry "For the sake of its friends, this brave warrior of the sky will not stop battling, even if injured." Starling shows similar tendencies towards her family, but much like Rufflet, she still has some growing to do before fully fitting the role.
- Togekiss. A pokémon that enjoys the company of kindhearted people. Starling insists Togekiss stays around for their parents, but it is clear Togekiss really cares for her.
- Drampa. A friendly pokémon that loves children and protects them from danger? Yeah, of course a traumatized cult survivor would end up with one looking after them. MC's family probably gave it to her to help her feel safe.
- Bagon. Just a little baby that wants to fly free and is willing to jump off cliffs to reach its dream.
- Shiftry. Its body is wood, so the nose can serve as an improvised stake. It knows the move Sunny Day, which turns the wheater sunny. It can even read minds. Shiftry is Starling's anti-vampire buddy.
Marian:
- Meowscarada. Green magician cat, that's all.
- Perrserker. Bushy tail, black and grey face, cat. Knows Pay Day (a move that generates free money).
- Male Meowstic. Green-eyed cat with psychic powers. It has the Prankster ability.
- Electabuzz. A pokémon that loves storms just seems fitting. Marian has been raising this one since it was an Elekid.
- Castform. It changes type based on the weather and helps Marian with practical effects, since it can make rain, hail, and even sunshine.
- Female Basculegion. Its dex entry states that females "can afflict a target with terrifying illusions that are under its control. The deeper the sadness in its friends' souls, the paler Basculegion becomes." Marian deserves a fish filled with ghosts.
Theo:
- Mightyena. A pack hunter that values teamwork and is obedient to skilled trainers.
- Mabosstiff. A gentle dog that loves children, but that will take on an intimidating look to protect its family. Theo's Mabosstiff has the Guard Dog ability, which "Boosts the Pokémon’s Attack stat if intimidated. Moves and items that would force the Pokémon to switch out also fail to work."
- Dusknoir. A ghost that guides lost spirits home. Of course the cemetery keeper would end up with one on his team.
- Cubone. Theo saw a little orphan baby and adopted it, no wonder he was ready to take MC in.
- Gyarados. Do not forget what Theo is.
Chrétien/Florence:
- Swoobat. As always, a bat for the vampire. A friendship evolution that gives others positive mood shifts? Very fitting for a vampire who is happy to be someone's best friend... as long as they are of use.
- Skeledirge. Matching its trainer's interests, Skeledirge is both an excellent singer and capable of producing flames at a temperature of 3000 ℃, perfect for burning up a body.
- Drifloon. A pokémon that likes kidnapping children.
- Gorebyss. To quote the dex, "Although Gorebyss is the very picture of elegance and beauty while swimming, it is also cruel. When it spots prey, this Pokémon inserts its thin mouth into the prey's body and drains the prey of its body fluids."
- Vespiqueen. Uses pheromones to control those around it (and make them fight for its sake), much like a vampire does with a hound.
- Hypno. Is it a weird yellow humanoid? Yes. Is it good for getting food in a pinch since it can put people to sleep and drag them away? Also yes.
Welcome back! Glad to see my work can inspire you even more x3
Tbh I would kill for that Pokemon AU...
Also "Shiftry is Starling's anti-vampire buddy." sounds so damn cute!!

Marian.
I love how its just "cat!" and I see they are something... however he and Chase wouldnt get along very well. And the fish looks so tired :(

Opinions on each of the starter Pokemon, Kari.
Tumblr media
I'll preface this post by saying that 1) I'm kinda biased towards water types and 2) I haven't actually played a Pokemon game since HG/SS, so my opinions have more to do with how I like them just from a design/lore perspective and their appearances in other media (like the anime) than their competitive viability
With that out of the way... let's go~
Bulbasaur - Still one of the most underrated starters I think. I loved Ash's Bulbasaur in the anime, he was one sassy bitch lol
Charmander - A touch overexposed, but for good reason. Who doesn't love a fire breathing dragon buddy
Squirtle - I love the concept, but honestly most of my fondness for it comes from Ash's Squirtle. The one with the glasses
Pikachu - I mean, it's the mascot of the series. I don't think I can hate it even if I tried. It's cute and we all know it
Eevee - I'm kinda meh on the whole line tbh... and the Eevee you get as a starter can't evolve anyways...
Chikorita - Honestly probably the most forgettable of the starters. I don't really think much of it
Cyndaquil - It's a cute little shrew thing that evolves into a honey badger. Okay I guess? Hisuian Typholosion was needed badly
Totodile - Look, Ash's Totodile being a happy dancy lil guy was all they needed to make me love it
Treecko - A bunch of Poketubers I watch regularly are fond of it, and although I see the appeal, I'm just okay on it
Torchic - I love the whole line tbh, but I still haven't gotten over my cousin's kid saying Combusken looks like a dick.
Mudkip - My answer to the "Do you like Mudkips?" meme is "No, I absolutely adore Mudkips and will die for them"
Turtwig - Probably the most underrated of the Sinnoh starters and I kinda see why people struggle to use it
Chimchar - I see the appeal, even if I never used it as a starter myself. I also got attached to it because of Ash's Chimchar
Piplup - Piplup was my first starter so I adore it a lot... It's just so full of personality whenever I see it. Project Pochama was lit
Snivy - All I know about it is the infamous episode where Ash's Pikachu lost to one at the start of B/W
Pignite - Kinda went overboard with the Fire/Fighting combi at this point... also it's not really appealing in anyway lol
Oshawott - I think it has the most likeable personality of the starters? The scalchop thing is really cute
Chespin - Chespin's evolutions are... something. Poor guy got the short end of the design stick
Fennekin - I think it has the best concept of the three Kalos starters. Yes, even more than ninja frogman
Froakie - I think they were trying to turn it into Charizard 2.0 and... I guess it worked for a while? I like it well enough I guess
Rowlet - The cutest borb (birb+orb) turning into a badass ghost archer? Yes please! Also, Ash's Rowlet was hilarious in S&M
Litten - I guess I was just thankful they didn't make it Fighting type again lol
Popplio - It's a cute little thing, I don't understand why people didn't like it when it was first revealed
Grookey - I may have compared it to one Banjou Ryuuga when it was revealed lol. Ryuuga's my fave 2nd Rider though...
Scorbunny - It's a cute lil bunny, how could I hate it? It also seemed to have the most personality out of the Galar starters
Sobble - *gathers him into my arms* I will protect this one with my life even if it evolves into lizard James Bond
Sprigatito - Do I want a cat that can knead me and make me kinda high? ...Maybe
Fuecoco - It's a happy lil fire croc! It looks so wholesome! Its head is empty but I don't care!
Quaxly - I would like to shake the hand of the god who thought gaylord samba peacock-duck thing would make for a great starter

in my latest video i said i would post the full pokemon creepypasta i wrote if someone guessed correctly which one was the fake one, and a few people did so here we go! happy halloween 🎃
Lumiose City Ghost Girl
There are many instances of supposed ghosts appearing in the Pokemon games. From the ghosts of Pokemon Tower in RBY, to the specters haunting the Old Chateau in DPPt, the makers of the Pokemon games clearly had an affinity for the supernatural. This was no different when Pokemon X and Y hit store shelves. Players quickly discovered yet another ghost appearance. Upon entering the second floor of the Fighting Dojo in Lumiose City, the lights will flicker and a girl with the sprite of a Hex Maniac will appear, floating forward before saying “No, you’re not the one,” and disappearing. Many theories arose as to what this could possibly mean. Was it just an easter egg or something more? Could it possibly allude to the existence of a ghost type legendary Pokemon? Eventually, one theory arose that the ghost girl was searching for a trainer with a particular trainer ID number. As to what would happen once she found the trainer she was looking for, no one knew. I played through my copy of X several times, wondering if one day I would get the trainer ID the ghost girl was searching for. However, every time I would first enter the second floor of the Fighting Dojo, her dialogue never changed. I was never the “one.” I never heard about it changing for anyone else either. Eventually, I wrote this theory off as being untrue. Years later, I decided to revisit the game for the first time in a while. I had completely forgotten all about the trainer ID ghost girl theory by this point. I always like to check my trainer ID when starting a new save file; this time, I saw that my ID number was 66666. Interesting, I’d never seen it be five of the same number before. I usually picked Froakie as my starter just as most people did, but for some reason, I felt compelled to choose Fennekin this time. I began to play through the game as normal, but odd things kept happening. The first thing I noticed was that Fennekin’s sprite seemed to be glitched–its eyes were missing pupils, so they just looked blank and creepy. This persisted when it evolved into Braixen and, eventually, Delphox. I also seemed to be encountering a lot more Ghost-type Pokemon than usual, even in areas that I didn’t think normally had any Ghost-types. I was a bit weirded out but didn’t think too much of it–games can break a bit sometimes. Finally, I reached the part of the game where you’re able to fully explore Lumiose City. I entered the second floor of the Fighting Dojo as I always did, fully expecting the ghost girl to appear and give her usual spiel. That isn’t quite what happened, though. As always, the lights flickered and she appeared, gliding up beside me. But the dialogue was different this time.
“It’s you…At long last, I have found you.” For a moment, I was confused, but then I remembered the old trainer ID theory. I thought back to my ID number, 66666, and all the weird things that had been happening as I played the game. The theory was right after all! I was admittedly a little freaked out, but excited to finally find out what this ghost girl thing was all about. She floated to face me, and a battle began. Her battle sprite had creepy, blank eyes, just like my Delphox. I sent out Delphox, and she sent out a Gengar. I knew it wouldn’t be hard to take down since it’s weak to Psychic. Sure enough, one Psyshock was enough to knock it out. “You will…regret that,” the ghost girl said. She sent out another Gengar. I was starting to feel a little underwhelmed by the less than challenging battle. I hit Psyshock again, but this time, her Gengar moved first. It used Destiny Bond. Shit, I thought. The Gengar went down, and my Delphox went with it. Delphox was the ace of my team. While I did have a couple other Pokemon with me, I didn’t use them as much as my starter, so they weren’t nearly as good. However, I figured I still had a shot at winning since the ghost girl only had three Pokemon left. She sent out yet another Gengar. I sent out Furfrou–a Normal type, which would resist Gengar’s Ghost-type attacks. I selected Bite. Once again, the Gengar moved first and used Destiny Bond. I wasn't worried this time because my Furfrou was pretty underleveled, so I didn’t expect it to knock Gengar out in one hit. To my surprise, however, it did, and Furfrou went with it. The same thing happened with my next Pokemon; she sent out another Gengar, it used Destiny Bond, I used a move that shouldn’t have been a one hit KO, but somehow it was, and my Pokemon went down. With my last Pokemon and her last Gengar, I even tried using a non-damaging move, but it still knocked the Gengar out and my Pokemon as well. I was thoroughly annoyed at this point. They had made this battle purposely unwinnable. Pretty lame easter egg…I waited for my character to black out and be transported back to the Pokemon Center. But it never happened. The battle continued. The ghost girl’s sprite appeared on the screen, her eyes now glowing red and her smile more deranged looking than ever. What the hell is going on? I thought. Text came up that said “Ghost Girl used Destiny Bond!” Her sprite slowly faded away and my 3DS abruptly shut off. “What the fuck?” I whispered aloud. I had been playing at night with all the lights off and by this point was more than a little creeped out. I got up to turn the lights on when a sound came from my closet. Immediately, my heart leaped into my throat. I tried to convince myself that it was just a shoebox falling over or something. Slowly, I crept towards the closet door and reached out a shaking hand to grab the handle. I flung it open, and what I saw made me stumble backwards, tripping over something on the ground. I looked up at a pair of glowing red eyes staring out at me from the darkness. I sat on the ground frozen in shock and fear, unable even to scream. The eyes started growing larger, as though whoever or whatever they belonged to was coming towards me. They grew larger and larger until they were right in front of me, and then, nothing… I woke up hours later in a cold sweat laying flat on my back on the bed, my 3DS beside me. My heart started pounding as I remembered what had happened. Had it all been a dream? I scrambled to start up my game, praying that everything would be normal. A sick feeling spread over me when I saw that my save file had been completely erased, with “New Game” the only option on the start screen. I quickly turned off the game, popped it out of my 3DS, and stuffed it away at the back of a drawer. To this day, I have never picked it up again. Thankfully, the glowing red eyes have yet to reappear in my closet, but sometimes, when I’m alone in my room at night, I can’t quite shake the feeling that I’m being watched…

It just occurred to me that Kubo still hasn’t gotten a starter Pokemon.
The twins are obviously gonna get him that Wigglytuff, but isn’t it ADORABLE that they’ll be teaching their baby brother how to battle? They’ll be teaching him so many things!
It WOULD be adorable. Ingo and Emmet jump through hoops trying to get an Igglybuff egg, and jump through even MORE hoops trying to get one with perfect IVs. Because of course they’re going to get only the best for their brother? Who do you think they are?
They teach him how to take care of an egg, what signs to look out for, show him how they know when it’s close to hatching. Then they teach him how to take care of baby Pokémon, how to groom them, how to mix pokéchow and other tasty treats.
Igglybuff is bombarded with so much love and affection that they evolve into a Jigglypuff pretty quickly. And then the battle training commences!
Emmet is EXTREMELY happy that Kubo has more interest in double battles than singles. (He gets a little smug about it and nearly invokes an ass-whooping from Ingo.)
Both Ingo and Emmet are even happier to learn that Kubo is more interested in Triple and Rotation Battles. Because, well...
Now they have a couple new lines to set up for the Battle Subway in the future. Kubo is his own person and is showing off his own interests. They’re incredibly supportive of this and want him to succeed in whatever path in life he chooses.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Nemona
You know how it recent games, Pokémon rivals would choose the starter Pokémon that was weaker against your starter, when before, it would be they would choose the one stronger to yours?
I think it makes a lot of sense that Nemona would choose the starter weaker to our choices. I think Nemona would deliberately choose the starter that weak against ours
By the time we meet Nemona, she is already a Champion-ranked trainer, considered one of the strongest trainers in Paldea, even Geeta, the considered Top Trainer, doesn't match to her strength.
But in post-game, we learn a lot more about this battle loving trainer.
Post game, she seems to struggle to find people to battle with since other students seemed to be intimated by her battle prowess and it is mentioned that in battles, she had to hold herself back when she did battle others. She wasn't able to use her full strength because no one would battle her if she did, since there is a high chance that she would easily win, taking away the fun of battling for the other person.
This holding herself back is highlighted throughout our gym challenge. Even before doing the challenge, despite already being a champion-ranked trainer and most likely having strong Pokémon already, she chooses the starter weaker to ours as a way to restrain herself from using her full strength. She also slips a few times, such as terastallizing her Pokémon before we get a Tera Orb, and after we complete our first battle with her, she wants to battle again and use different Pokémon, before Clavell reminds her to restrain herself since we are still beginner trainers.
And as we do our gym challenge, she seems to start over her own gym journey, using new Pokémon and being at our level.
Its only after we've reached the Champion-Rank that we see her use her full strength. And even after she loses, she's happy for the battle and pretty much stops holding back, which is probably like having a weight lifted off her, she can fully her express her skills.
It's even stated that having a rival that makes her use her full strength is her greatest treasure.
So overall, while people might not be fond of recent rivals having starters weak to ours, it makes sense for Nemona to do so as I think it goes well with her character.

closed starter for @tapuhauko -- 🏖️
It all started with an article. Her tendency to scroll on her phone before bed lead her to a piece of news that caught her eye unlike any other. Poachers - but in Alola. A region on the opposite end of the globe. Most wouldn't even have such a thing on their radar, but Serena having dealt with poachers personally, felt a sinking feeling in her stomach as her eyes skimmed over the text.
There was no way she could get to sleep after reading such a thing. It was spontaneous of her, and she knew it, but within the next couple of hours, she was on a plane to the sunny, tropical region. Alola wasn't her region - she had no stake in it, however she felt she needed to do something. The problem spiraling out of control, and potentially bleeding into other regions, was heavy on her mind. Perhaps some would think she was overstepping. Serena wouldn't disagree with that.
On the plane ride over, she had utilized the plane's internet to do a bit of light research on the various Kahunas of each island. Melemele, from what she read in the article, seemed to be the biggest problem area. The island's Kahuna, Hau, was new to the position from what she had gathered. There had to be something she could do to help him, assuming he was aware of the problem. She'd have to find that out whenever they landed.
The flight felt like it took ages. Serena was incredibly antsy, unable to keep herself from tapping her fingers and messing with her Mega Ring. Finally, finally, the plane had landed. Alola's time was the exact opposite of Kalos'. Where it was nightfall in her own region, the sun hung high in the sky here. Serena was quick to grab her things from the overhead bin, doing a final, quick sweep to ensure nothing was left behind.
There was no time to enjoy the pleasantly warm weather, or to take in the fresh sea breeze. Every moment she took could mean more pokemon were in danger. Her pace to Iki Town was quick, Serena pulling up a map of the island on her phone as she borderline ran to the town. Her heart was pounding out of her chest, not because of the physical exertion, but from adrenaline. As much as she wanted to go straight to the problem, she was still an outsider. Going through the proper channels would be more beneficial, and perhaps Hau would have more information for her than even the article did. After all, there was strength in numbers as well.
Her head whipped around as she entered the small town, her pace slowing just a tad. C'mon... C'mon, he had to be around somewhere- Ah!
Tumblr media
"Excuse me, I'm... so sorry to bother you. This is going to be totally out of the blue, but... you're Hau, the Kahuna of this island?" Serena knew it was a bit bold to be so upfront, but she couldn't be passive in a moment like this. "I- My name is Serena. I'm from the Kalos region, and I saw a recent article about a poaching problem happening here. I know it's not my place to meddle in the affairs of another region," a hand lift to her chest, "but if you would allow me, I would be more than happy to help solve this issue in any way I possibly can. I work in a pokemon conservation in my region as a volunteer - so dealing with poachers is something I'm unfortunately familiar with. I didn't want to overstep my boundaries as an outsider, so I thought it would be better to go through the proper channels instead and speak with someone familiar with the island."
She takes a pause, letting him digest everything. The last thing she wanted to do was let her rambling get the best of her. "I apologize again, I know this is probably really sudden. It's just... something I'm really passionate about putting a stop to. Keeping pokemon and their habitats safe is important to me, so I'd like to help however I can, if you'll allow me."

Hello, Nico! I hope you had a safe trip home! I’ve always been curious, but how did you get into Dark-type care?
hey Beau! thanks again for all your help Squire's been getting along great with Ban and he can't wait to meet the rest of my guys (he's nervous but Ban's been helping him a lot)
as for how I got into dark type care! it's a bit of a long story but i'm always happy to talk about it!
for those that dont wanna read the long ass story, tldr; i came across a half frozen absol on mt lanakila and i had no idea on how to care for him. i got him unfrozen but he Did Not trust me. my houndoom got him to at least have faith that i wouldnt harm him and got him off the mountain. nanu was called by the pokemon center and i thought he was the coolest person id ever seen and i begged asked him to teach me what he knew. he did and i brought that back to Johto when i moved and now im using it to teach others through Moonlight Rescue!
when I was little dark type pokemon had just about been discovered and there... wasn't really a whole lot of discussion on how to care for them.
i had lived in Johto for a little bit before my family moved to Alola. i had my starter Astro (a cyndaquil) and i grew up there, eventually getting to partake in the island challenge and it was up until i caught Temis (houndour). I knew how to take care of fire types between Astro and Ban but when it came to Temis it was just... harder.
i wasn't doing things that i could've easily been doing to help provide her needs but i literally couldn't because the research wasn't as wildly available because she was half dark type. i couldn't even really rely on the pokedex for a lot of it (burned by a houndoom and itll hurt forever get out of here, it hurts for a while but certainly not forever like any other burn)
things thankfully went well and it wasn't actually until i was a lot older and came across an injured absol up on Mount Lanakila. Astro (now a typhlosion) took him to a cave we found and took shelter and he was half frozen. thankfully my fire types helped warm him up but he was rightfully wary about me, nothing i did could help him and i felt... helpless. i had a typhlosion, a salandit and a houndoom but he would not come near me in the small cave. he didn't eat, didn't sleep, wouldn't take his eyes off me.
through Temis i got him to at least have some faith that I wouldn't hurt him and that i just wanted get him off this freezing mountain. i took him to Tapu Village and the pokemon center there got him stabilized with... a lot of difficulty.
they called the kahuna, Nanu, and he knew exactly what to do to help the absol relax, got him comfortable and just did everything I couldn't do.
im not gonna lie, i still think that was the coolest shit id ever seen and, well after a lot of persistent asking, Nanu taught me what he knew about caring for dark type pokemon. i retired from being a trainer and, eventually, moved back to Johto (which unfortunately was still a little behind the times in terms of dark type care)
i opened up Moonlight Shadows and im hoping that through it, not only can i care for dark types but also teach younger trainers (or older) how to care for them properly.

Okay so if you had to assign a pokemon for the twisted wonderland characters which one would it be? I would definitely give Jade any of the mushroom pokemon.
a singular mon? damn making my life hard (lh nm) thankfully i already have set teams for most of the characters and done (a little too much) research on which pokemon i think would go best w them so without further ado,,,, (also this will be minor spoilers for their future team comps when i finally get to writing so if anyones waiting for that to come out for the surprise then maybe don’t read) apologies in advance, this is gonna be a long one
Ace, zorua! i believe him and zorua would make a good pair, the illusion ability would be a nasty thing to go against but ace would definitely make the most of it
Deuce, lucario/riolu. this pair i believe goes together especially well because of how in the games/shows lucario characters are typically these noble protector pokemon. having a lucario around i think would mesh well with deuce’s personality while also fitting well with his habit of jumping into fights (whether it be joining said fights or preventing them)
Riddle, hard to pick one for him but hmmm i think i’ll go with rapidash! member of the equestrian club, after all, and fire types suit him for reasons i don’t think i have to explain lol
Cater, another hard one but… i think either cinccino or panpour for no particular reason other than vibes
Trey, there r so many i picked for his team that i really like but,,, mmmmm i think i’ll pick slurpuff for him? trey’s team comp represents him more as a whole that one pokemon does so it’s hard to pick but i’ll keep my final answer as slurpuff <3
Jack, maractus or cacnea/cacturne bc cactuses
Ruggie, i told myself i wasn’t going to reveal starters but since i have t’ pick what i think is the most fitting, scorbunny for sure. the two would be mischief makers and i love it
Leona, tyranatar. that sandstorm ability would definitely b a bitch to go against in battle plus it’s super fitting with his magic
Azul, i’m going to pick one of the unconventional members of his team, but wobbuffet. i really can’t give much of a reason for it other than, vibes. wobbuffet’s a lot less serious than azul is but i think that’s kinda the point lol
Floyd, scrafty/scraggy. i was tempted to pick a water type pokemon but it has to be the scraggy line. fighting spirit vibes ! they’d get along well w each other me thinks
Jade, w jade i think ur absolutely right and all the mushroom pokemon fit him very well but if i had to pick one that’s not like breeloom, vileplume, shiinotic, foongus, etc thennn i think i’ll have to go with.. i’ll pick another unconventional and go with mawile. i think it fits jade and floyd rly well as a pokemon but the fairy typing plus it leaning more towards the more deceptively cute side (if you ignore the giant mouth on the back of its head) i think it fits jade a little more. ALSO IMAGINE MAWILE PICKING UP ON JADE’S HABIT OF THE HAND ON HIS CHEST THING AND HIS CLOSED EYES SMILES ITD BE ADORABLE
Kalim, when picking a team for kalim i struggled so much bc so many pokemon felt fitting for him which makes picking one all the mor difficult but i think i have to go with chatot. colorful little talkative bird, need i say more?
Jamil, arbok. not much competition rly, giant poison cobra snake. though i definitely still must admit, jamils another character im rly happy w his full team comp for :>
Epel, espurr because hair and because i said so! i think an epel espurr combo would b really cute and although it’s not a “tough strong looking pokemon” like epel is probably seeking i think having an espurr/meowstic on his team could really help him destigmatize the idea that strong people and pokemon have to be big w huge muscles and be able to lift a lotta stuff with their arms. they’re gonna have a great dynamic and arc <3
Vil, so many good picks again but gotta go with mienshao i think. elegant looking but strong fighting type pokemon, need i say more?
Rook, decidueye. another one i didn’t wanna name starters for but can’t help itttt rook w a decidueye was like half the reason i even started thinking abt everything in depth in the first placeee it’s just a perfect match
Ortho, i have no idea for ortho honestly but.. hmmmm i think ortho with a magneton would be neat!
Idia, hydreigon bc like,,, Cerberus. three headed dog, three headed dragon y’ feel me?
Sebek, Sirfetchekd. Just-sirfetche’d.
Silver, Aegislash. I was torn between putting Aegislash on Sebek or Silver’s team but i think it fits Silver a little more, though i’m not entirely set on the choice yet,,,
Malleus, Haxorus. I think most dragon type would fit him for again obvious reasons lol but haxorus more than the others
ANDDD FINALLY, Lilia, who i gift drampa bc. Drampa. (altho the bat pokemon would fit him too, but drampa)
hope my answer’s satisfied u, this took me awhile haha (but was still fun to type out <3) ty for the ask!

Hi I just binged the entire wanted au tag and I adore it!!! (Would love to do fanart when school stops kicking my ass dhdjjd)
I happen to have twin ocs that I've inserted into Pokémon thanks to my recent submas hyperfixation and one of them has adopted a joltik from Emmet lol so when I read about joltik basically being the Nimbasa starter(TM) I immediately thought of that XD
Which brings up my question; since the crew might run into Unovans that have moved to Sinnoh, do you think any of them might have a joltik or galvantua and if that would ring a bell in Ingo's head?
Hope you don't mind the long ask dhdhdh ~Aqua
Thank you so much! Your Oc’s sound so cute, I love when fan ideas overlap. And don’t worry, your ask is lovely!
Yes, they would run into a trainer with a Joltik! The trainer would be a kiddo, likely getting her Joltik from her parents Gavantua. She would be out to start her pokemon journey! And runs right into a pair of over powered criminals.
I feel like to make the battles they face against kids more fair Ingo and Akari would use some of the lower level Hisui Pokémon from the Arc phone PC. this gives the Pokémon experience with modern battles, and give their opponents a chance to win, or at least to not feel steam rolled.
But anyhow, after seeing her pokemon in action Ingo recalls so much about that particular type that he has list of tips for her and her little Joltik. He is so enamored by the little bug he asks her if he can hold it. The girl agrees, having long forgotten that these people are alleged pokemon thieves as she rubs a young Growlithe s belly.
Ingo is so gentle as he holds the tiny Pokémon, not even minding the near constant little shocks it causes. It’s stares curiously as him as he pets it’s head. The tiny mon recalling the stories their mama Galvantua told them of the wonderful humans who raised her from an egg before releasing her to go off and find her own trainer. The Joltik can’t help but think that this person oddly looks like the ones their mama would describe.
Ingo is almost sad when he returns to Joltik to there trainer, but is happy to see the clear bond between the two. He can tell this duo has a bright future ahead of them!
Later, as Akari sits, adding more notes into her Pokédex on all the new pokemon she saw, Ingo finds himself suggesting details on the Joltik they saw. Realizing the little electric bug must have sparked a memory, she asks if he thinks he had one on his team. Ingo has to think for a moment before answering. He decides on both yes and no. He can recall battling along side a Joltik, or at least something very similar to a Joltik, but he doesn’t think the pokemon was actually his. Perhaps a double battle?
Akari notes that he and the other trainer must have been close if they double battled enough for him to remember the Joltik so well. Ingo thinks that’s sound right.
