Remember when the whole ordeal with s2 was that Ed was so heartbroken that Stede left him that he tried to get himself and the whole crew killed and then they got reunited within like 2 episodes and never spoke about anything of interest together and then that same Ed decided to ditch Stede after a couple of days because he wanted to catch fishes and that lasted half an episode before they got reunited again and the show ended on them leaving everyone to live in a simultaneously doomed to fail/happy ending inn and everyone was like wow good writing I can’t believe this could get canceled $10k billboard in times square

BUT I NEED MONEY TO MOVE #on top of that my grandpa died and there’s so much family drama involving that it’s unreal #and weirdly the thing I’ve recently felt bad about is I’ve been neglecting my self imposed Fandom Duties #maybe not fandom specifically but like. creative duties #I want to write fic. I want to draw. have been trying not to get super mad over dream and mcc. i think he and sapnap should’ve been permabanned after they got massive amounts of hate sent H (and possible death threats then? you know when he did the space bar glitch) as well as constantly sent to scott and noxcrew (correct me if i’m wrong haven’t his fans called scott slurs?). and yet they still get to play and they still get to being down the mood and they still act like massive dicks. i generally try to ignore them and try to do my best to have fun with whoever i’m watching but it’s so difficult. Dream whining about the ace race redo was so stupid. he only got first because the people in front of him dc’ed. if he had the skill he should’ve been able to get first again it should’ve been no big deal. around 10 people dc’ed and he’s acting like it’s not a massive issue.

also. do any of the other competitors sans his friends even like him? because i swear so many people i’ve watched have shown open disdain for him. he’s an over competitive asshole who has a massive unchecked ego and his fanbase protects him from anything bad because they’re so fucking rabid. also i can’t even imagine it’s fun to play this way? I’ve had so much more fun watching mcc since I’ve watched people who’s content i like and also since i’ve stopped caring so much about winning. i can’t imagine what it’s like to get so hung up over a FOR FUN event. i think he’s fully tanked any popularity he has outside his fanbase so nice one on that.

i feel like people are forgetting nuance in these topic discussions. the guilt-trippy posts circulating are a . choice and lmao people can do whatever they want to feel comfortable in this shared space, but the message also? isn’t? wrong? idk i’m not gonna feel obligated to explain why i’m cutting off a mutual that’s just a mutual i wrote with once or twice, or even embarked in some conversations with on dash or via dms. it’s gonna suck being softblocked / hardblocked without notice and it might confuse or irritate us, but we’ll get over it, because there was no real connection, it doesn’t need to be a whole thing. on the other hand, it shows a complete lack of communication and empathy to cut off somebody we’ve been tight with for a minute without at least something. and it isn’t a violation of boundaries to reach out and ask for some explanation - and an explanation doesn’t need to be a whole ass essay nor does it mean it needs to be a conversation. it’s just better than nothing. this isn’t a job or a community where we gotta write formal apologies or farewell letters or whatever but minimal communication goes a long mf way and this website lacks it, and instead replaces it with hostile hyper-vigilance in the name of curating a safe space (again, nuance matters here lol). we don’t own anyone shit but it costs absolutely nothing to practice basic communication where it matters.
