#tl;dr its less about the shape itself and more about the response #theres a level of coolness associated with the response #most people dont ever have an answer ready to go. most never thought of it before so theyll have to think it through. #if they think ur weird for asking and/or dismiss you entirely their vibes likely arent so good #many people will stop and think for a bit. and will likely give a reason WHY they picked theirs #if thats the case their vibes are p normal and youve now opened up a conversation starter congrats #possibly broke up some awkward tension by asking something so obscure and out of left field #then you have the people who had their answers READY TO GO. most of the time these people are cool as hell. #passing the vibe check with flying colors because you just gave them a reason to explain why trapezoids are underrated #or infodump abt a shape uve never heard of #OR you'll get the occasional 'what do you have a favorite shape' incredulous ask #and then you can quickly drop your own favorite shape (parallelograms my beloved) #which opens up the hidden SECOND VIBE CHECK #if they react positively to you having a shape ready to go their vibes are likely good #if they immediately think ur weird for having a favorite shape ready to go their vibes are probably not so good #its full-proof /hj #socializing is a science and i aint in STEM for nothing #<- totally neurotypical haha whaaaat im normal mhm totally normal #this is normal people things to think about

Ever since I learned that you had to actually teach your kids how to do stuff, it's been so much fun having them around. It's very cute to watch them play with something they've never seen before, or only do something after they see me do it first. Idk how much is code and how much is coincidence, but they're undoubtedly better at living now. And their personalities are so unique!

And they look pretty scary #So here's the situation: I pissed it off using the body of a lizard #And it reacted and grabbed the lizard #And also me #And also algae #They have three arms and each arm grabs things independently by STABBING THEM djvdjshfkifj #Anyways algae somehow grabs a spear and frees himself #Caramel throws a rock and frees me #Lizard body... Not so lucky #Later on I stupidly got myself eaten by it #And when you die the slugpups mourn you by laying down as close to your body or point of death was #Which was. Under the stowaway #But get this. As algae is being taken away- keep in mind you're basically stabbed by these tentacles-- he somehow manages to nail the thing #And save caramel from being eaten too #Auuughghgh #I have more interesting stories that aren't contrived via my irresponsible curiosity but I've run out of tags. #Doodles #Original #Another idea smol and I are working on together :D Been a bit! #She came up with the concept on this one and I fell in love with it <3 She's very cool hehe #If you're familiar with the game Minit it has Something of a similar premise - not the same strict time pressure but yes on the time loop #Y'ever notice how in some games it seems like the wandering trader or traveling shop seems to come upon you rather than the other way around #:3c Hm ♪ Wonder how they'd know where you were gonna be :3c #The crux is that you play as the weapons shop owner and you're responsible for supplying the hero and his team with weapons! #Except the BBEG has gotten wise to how the hero keeps defeating him and it sick of it - so the shop owner is cursed to be in a time loop! #I love the concept <3 It sounds so fun to play in and there's still plenty of room to think about the mechanics and how it would be played #As well as the art design! :D #We threw around some character concepts - she's really into Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment so of course they had some influence in hers hehe #Only got the starting party for the moment but there are plans for a full team of 4 plus the shopkeep >:3c And various other NPCs lol #A lot of the gameplay would basically boil down to being a bartering simulator hehe ♪ #Very RPG trade-this-for-that style quests - under a time limit! Hehe #Since it's the type of game that pretty much requires replaying sections time-loop-style it's all about how quickly you can trial and error #And then hightail it to where you need to be lol #I think we were also tossing around a nap mechanic to skip right to the time loop reset in case you mess up a run haha #I gotta get back to Majora's Mask at some point I swear #We still have a good bit of concept work to do on the art side of things - she's also been really into pixel art lately and I love pixel art #I also managed to pick up a full release of one of the RPGMakers :D So that's an exciting possibility! #I haven't learned most of its ins and outs yet but I do know About importing custom assets at the very least >:3c #Same with Novelty and I haven't done that yet either lol - all in due time! Oh my god I listened to Käärijä’s interview and aww he sounded so giddy and happy. And he did really well in English too! I think if they bring the friend he had with or someone similar who can help translate a question or who can help reminding him of some words he should do just fine at the event! He speaks with a lot of confidence! Also shout out to Steve for speaking slowly and concisely and generally keeping the questions simple!

I think music ties into the way I experience the world in general -- and that includes the people I love, yes! I definitely have at least one song/singer/even genre I associate to each important person in my life -- and sometimes even to recent friends or acquaintances. I also do this with characters and stories I love, but that's a bit more common, I believe 😂 oh, if someone were to burn a CD especially for me I'd propose marriage right then and there, ngl :')

I think you're spot on about the second assumption too, although it feels like something that should be confirmed from an outside source. I know I tend to pick up on accents very quickly -- whenever I spend even half an hour with someone who has a different accent than mine, I end up speaking just like them for a quite a while! 😂 it's not an intentional thing, just a thing I do, and it has been pointed out to me several times! Speech patterns and quirks fall into the same umbrella for me -- I pick them up easily and remember them well. And whenever I think about it, I have a lot of fun picking them apart and figuring out which phrases and cadences make someone sound like themselves :)

#rat rambles #oc posting #warriors posting #spiraling upwards #long story short they had a shitty awful terrible leader who sucked absolutely ass and they tore him to shreds #I mean that literally they pinned him onto the mountain side and slashed and mauled the shit out of him so hard that his lives evaporated #and several of the cats involved in that scene are sill alive and major parts of the story and I love them #oh also the cat that pinned him through a stab through the throat was his own daughter btw everyone hated his ass so much #and for good reason get his ass #alas in the main story I dont rly get to go too deep into how he harmed everyone involved mostly just three main ones #aka bristlestar because shes murtlepaw's ghost mom dawncrackle because hes also haunting murtle and gullspot because shes bristle's kit #so basically all the flashbacks we get involve those three in some form or another #honeystar was also there and involved but Im not currently planning on having her rly talk abt that #most of her more modern angst is the fact that she was forced into leadership against her will #and shes been alive long enough that shes been leading birchclan far longer than she ever lived in her old clan #but she did go through a lot of shit before birchclan was founded and it definitely shaped her a lot #she used to be a very determined and high spirited lil kitty cat who tried to be optimistic #but her family began to slowly be picked off one by one by both the old leader and the one whod later get evicerated #some of the older cats around her hoped it make her back down from her revelutionary ideas but she noticed that and it backfired on them #instead of being worn down to submission she became absolutely Furious and began to lash out more and become more demanding #it got to the point that she really only had two friends in the entire clan and one of them was her aunt whod later also die after coming #out abt having witnessed the leader killing his own kits #that was the final fucking straw for her and she was fully on board when bristle and dawn started looking for cats to join their rebellion #she did get rly frustrated with them as they waited patiently for the right moment but her remaining bestie kept her from going apeshit #so once the big fight finally broke out she was more than eager to join the hoard of cats chasing the bastard upwards #now unlike some of the other cats involved this legitimately actually made her feel a lot better for a while #for the first time in ages she finally felt like she could be optimistic abt smth again and was excited abt the idea of leaving this place #she had lost so much in this damn place since she was an apprentice and just wanted to finally be able to rest easy #but once they got to their new territory and set up camp things went south real fast as a flood fucked everything up #and after losing the only cat she had left in her life and losing her tail and being made deputy on top of that she deteriorated quickly

Honestly one of the biggest problems I have with Makoto is the way they make her look smarter... Is to make everyone else dumber and it really irritates me.

Like she joins and is like "They'll pounce on us immediately if we use the front entrance again, let's find another way into the bank." And everyone's like "Wow that's genius! You're the best, Queen!" And I'm just sat there like... You mean the thing we did for the previous two palaces???

It's a tiny thing, but it bugs me.

Yeah that's my beef with Makoto's writing. You can make a smart character without putting down the intelligence of the other characters to make the smart character seem smarter you know.
