“We need to change our way of thinking and seeing things. We need to realise that the Earth is not just our environment. The Earth is not something outside of us. Breathing with mindfulness and contemplating your body, you realise that you are the Earth. You realise that your consciousness is also the consciousness of the Earth. Look around you–what you see is not your environment, it is you.”
- Thich Nhat Hahn, excerpt from his statement on climate change for the United Nations

The seed of suffering in you may be strong, but don't wait until you have no more suffering before allowing yourself to be happy.

There is no absolute truth
The resurrection of Jesus sealed Christian identity (religion) as possessors of the truth. Instead, his death brought awareness that even as humans we are capable of loving, fighting and even perishing for our own truths. This transcends all religions.
If great acts are defined as "divine," then you and I can be too.

Waking up this morning, I smile
24 brand new hours are before me
I want to live fully in each moment
and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion

"When we look into our cells as a human being, we see that the human being is made only of non-human elements. We have the mineral elements in us. We have the element of vegetable in us and we have the element of animal in us. We not only have human ancestors, but we also have animal ancestors, and vegetable ancestors and also mineral ancestors and our ancestors do not belong in the past. They belong to the present. They are fully present in us. Without them we cannot see the way we see, we cannot think the way we think, we cannot live the way we live and the electron is also in us. So when I produce a thought, all the ancestors in me, including the mineral and animal ancestors collaborate with me to produce that thought. It's like when you see. You look at the tree. That is the job not only of your eyes. You know very well. " - Thích Nhất Hạnh
