hey :) so im currently having what is likely psychotic episode, ive experienced various trauma both through childhood and with sexual abuse, and currently have struggles with eating, self harm and also have extremely severe anxiety, depression and then bpd and adhd too
i think more than anything i just want the validation that it is psychosis, that it likely isn't real but it's okay, and that getting help IS a good thing, bc ive been rejected from the public health system for it bc apparently im not psychotic and it wont get worse- as well as any advice on what to do about it all (im in australia if that helps)
uhm. so there's this guy called lamben that showed up about two months ago now, and since then hes explained stuff around me needing to help him take down the queen of the opposing nation, bc shes hurting his people and he brought me some of the victims and theyd had severe burns and everything and it's all more around magic
and so ive been asked to train with him to use the powers i have that are stronger than all of his peoples, which i can see it's like black smoke almost, and then also talking to this other guy called kesan whos the queens assistant thats against what's happening
and so there's been a plan made and everything of how to infiltrate the castle and im terrified rn of going through with it in case i get caught and stuck and i dont take her down i get taken captive
and idk if i sound dumb but like. either im able to connect with another world or its psychosis
and everyones saying it isnt real but i need help navigating it all if youre able to offer anything at all
tysm, know this was a bit of a dump but ty 🫶🫶
Hi there!!
I'm happy you reached out to me. It sounds like you got a lot of stressful stuff going on at the moment, both in shared reality and private reality.
To respond very simply, what you describe sounds like a flavour of psychosis to me, based on my understanding of reality, and I hope you can access some competent help with it. It sounds like a really stressful position you've been put in, where you are the only one who has the ability to save these people you feel have been contacting you.
I'm wondering how you experience your connection to this world? Is it as if reality around you changes, are they coming to you in dreams, or a third option?
I'm asking because I'm wondering what it might entail in "shared reality" to infiltrate the queen's castle? If you think about the actions you'd have to take, is this something that could put you in danger or trouble within the reality that we share with most people?
I'm not doubting your experience and that it's a type of psychosis, I'm asking to get a feeling of what the "real life" implications are of your beliefs and the actions you are being asked to perform. It sounds like you are aware that these beliefs and experiences are unusual, and at the very least aren't aligned with the reality other people are generally experiencing. So I am hoping you are able to think through how you've been interacting with this other world so far, to compare how your actions would appear in shared reality.
Because the first question to think about is whether this has the potential to be dangerous to you or others. Because if it does, you may need to escalate the asking for help. I don't know a lot about Australia, but in my country that would look like contacting emergency services if you feel that you are in danger of doing something that can be dangerous. But I would suggest trying to ask someone Australian, to confirm if what emergency services has to offer is actually helpful.
If the answer is no, it's not dangerous, that doesn't mean it isn't causing you significant distress. But it means you have more space to safely explore your options for help in your own pace.
It might also be that the distress it's causing you is in some ways a welcome distraction from other brain and life issues at the moment. Sometimes psychosis can be a type of escapism that the brain engages in. For example if you feel powerless, it can feel good to have special powers to save others, at least for a while, until the pressure might get to be too much.
It's not necessarily black and white, only good or bad.
As far as help goes, I wonder if you currently have anyone like a therapist or anyone like that, to work through trauma etc with? Or other types of support? Psychosis can definitely be heavily linked to stress, and lacking support to work through other difficulties you're facing can make it worse. The help offered for psychosis itself is unfortunately often somewhat lackluster, often it starts and ends with antipsychotics, even though psychotic people do benefit from therapy. There's at the same time a tendency for mh professionals to dismiss symptoms of psychosis, and to focus on them very single-mindedly. Many people experience either being dismissed, or to have the psychosis being acknowledged while everything else gets pushed to the side. So it can be complicated to navigate the system while having psychosis and other issues that tie in with it.
I hope some of this was helpful, feel free to return to my inbox. I wish you the best ❤️

the good news is that playing ace attorney seems real fun. exciteed to play it more tho i think thats what may have kicked off my headache today since i dont play handheld games that often lol. but also i think mainly it was cause i had a light breakfast and kinda stayed in bed for a long time. p depressing annoying day todayyyy idk what im gonna do abt. anything. like i love my cats and every1 in my family acts like theyre a nuisance and acts like its not on them if they escape rly genuinely awful especially coming after like half of the past year being spent watching all their pets when theyd go on vacation lol. my record store job is good but idk how long it will go on and when it will end and when it does i think ill be back at point one. since its under the counter work its not rly giving me any written experience that i can actually include on job applications and every1 in my family acts like i dont even have  a job. like its not even a conversation iwant to get in w/ them like anytime it comes up that im considered the stores buyer and that its expected of me to consistently bring stuff in they act surprised and ask me if im stilll looking for work. like fuuuck you 100 times lol. tho also dont wanna act like its all aimed at me specifically like my older sister is working two jobs shes working for my dad helping him w/ his work and then working another job and my dad still talks to her like she has all the free time in the world and is always lazing abt. but ya my record store job is great rn but it could rly end any second as that one time when it did end taught me. and if it does i wouldnt be surprised if awhile went by w/ me being in the dark abt it. just have to work rly hard constantly bring in great top notch stuff and then go back to college but its rly the cats that have me like so tied down. i love them and idk if id even be where i am today w/o them like they bring me so much happiness that has got me thru truly dark times but idk what im gonna do w/ them like cauase it feels like i always have to make sure that the rest of my family acknowledges that they need to be more careful when opening doors n stuff when theyre there. just hoping after dendy gets neutered he calms down moar.

hi ess <3
miss taylor: dancing with our hands tied, blank space, & treacherous <3
ty for the fic rec <3 i love texting fics sm i eat em up everytime. here's one for u, operation: toebeans by moonymoment (cute lil wolfstar fic, they fuck around with minnie and shes so tired of them)
chatting <3
id love to see a massive colonel sanders statue irl. it would definitely be significant enough for people to make pilgrimages to it & in fact i think id visit it myself.
fuck san francisco (im sure its lovely) i hate it there (it looks kinda cool tbh). sadly we've already broken best friend code cause she lives in a different city for uni 💔💔 havent seen that bitch since the beginning of january and im losing my mind. but its fine i think i get to see her this month🕺
ah yes the only two requirements to date someone: be hot and funny. (no but fr thats it. the bar is so low)
hozier <3333 (yes canadian money smells like maple syrup!!! just the notes though not the coins. i wish the coins were scented too)
now for the jesus/judas au..... i think peter simply has to be judas. but for jesus i wanna say james because judas revealed jesus' identity = peter revealing james & lily's location (although sirius as jesus would be funny too with his long jesus-like hair & the way he kinda came back to life via escaping azkaban)
american harry styles scares me fr.
fuck seagulls like actually. they always steal my food at the beach while im swimming and i cant swim back in time to stop them. theyre public enemies around these parts.
oh god. an eighteen year old dating a fourteen year old while he has another gf...... so fucking gross. (someone free both those girls rn. actual leonardo dicaprio behaviour)
i got anne carson's sappho fragments book for christmas & i was gonna go ahead and annotate it but now i feel like i should wait until i have someone to annotate it for. or maybe ill just annotate it and then i can give it to my person when they come along <3
ur def right im the opposite of final girl material but i am impulsive and stubborn so i will explore the church if its the last thing i do. (it will be the last thing i do cause im gonna end up getting myself killed)
six cans of monster can cure anything & i truly believe that. even a horrible hangover.
philosopher's stone>>>> sorcerer's stone sounds so bad anyways. im glad canada isnt quite dumb enough to get the sorcerer's stone treatment.
all of my halloween costumes are pretty lame tbh. i was a bee for my first bday (hence my nickname) but ive been a witch, vampire, zombie, ghost, etc. nothing special really
u should definitely tell harvard. theyd be too stunned to deny u entry its foolproof.
i loved blowing things up in chem. truly my only motivation to go to class.
using music apps based on our fav colours thats so real of us.
i may not have gotten wingstop but i did see florida (jumpscare)
joey in season one <3333
infinite bag of money thats a great idea how did i not think of that.
u will be banker one day. im manifesting this for u.
tumblr will forever be the superior social media idc. this website is untouchable.
oh god that guys a mummy's boy...... freud would absolutely lose his mind. a field day.
i understand u. like sometimes ur drunk self has a mind of its own and will do random shit. ive cut my hair drunk and woke up very confused but at least i managed to not botch it!!!
love in the dark is SUCH A JEGULUS SONGGG oh my god. adding to my jegulus playlist right this instant.
omg listening to music while looking at art>>>>>> perfection. makes u feel so peaceful and cool fr. (WENDYS!!! i love wendys so much.)
ur completely right id rather be having a horrible time with liv than be somewhere nice with someone i hate. doesnt matter what we're doing or whats happening it'll just be better if shes there.
i love that taylor likes 13 like yes girl me too. but 13 is actually a lucky number in italy so my family has always liked it!
oh god james and lily im so sorry......im just glad i wasnt born in 1981 or else id be highly suspicious that im the reincarnation of one of them.
american and canadian accents are super similar unless we're talking southern united states or far eastern canada. they literally sound irish over there no joke.
drarry <3 i just love the angst. so many possibilities for them.
jily & jegulus <33 ur right, jegulus for the fics (theres just SO many good ones) but jily for the ships theyre just so sweet.
after that guy i swore to never watch a movie for someone i like ever again. (also mainly because most of the time the movie is SO BAD!!!!) but yes its so cute when ur watching something with someone and they tell u all about it <333
we kinda did have a lot of paint lying around! it was mostly just lil kid art sets with crappy cheap markers and pencils but they were fun. if i was lucky i was allowed to use my parents fancy stuff.
it was genuinely so funny like i wish i couldve seen the sock fall from the audience's perspective i bet it was ridiculous.
literally ezra/aria. it was so gross but at least it wasnt real.
rude old people make me so mad like how have u lived so much of ur life and still carry so much hate in u......get a life old lady!!!!!!
hermione & harry <33
its true dramione fics are better. romione fics are usually just as bland as they are in canon. still cute tho.
tote bags!!!! love em. and omg a pride and prejudice tote thats so cool. i have one with constellations all over it i love it sm. (but also tote bags make my shoulders hurt so bad i swear im gonna get scoliosis one day)
wireless headphones till i die!!!!! how am i supposed to clean my room while watching netflix or something with wired headphones. how am i supposed to cook with wired headphones.
omg a 2! alexa play lover by taylor swift. (im a 5, apparently the investigators. i do love solving a good puzzle so ill take it)
red nail polish 4ever. looks good with anything i swear. my fav is a dark wine red and its just perfect.
wait thats so funny. it sounds straight out of an episode of friends or something. (glad everyones okay!!!!)
THATS SO CUTE!!!!! AHHHHH! top tier gift fr.
also a top tier gift. signed copies of ur fav books + unabridged podg + museums???? a flawless gift.
THE EMMA QUOTE OHHHH MY GOD!! i love that quote so fucking much. those are all so good. quotes that make u feel completely unzipped are the best always.
that poem is so good wtf. "i fear no fate (for you are my fate my sweet)" WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!! IM UNWELL.
i wanna visit the lake district so bad ohhh my god. it looks so nice. the air looks so crisp there.
the locket that is so cute im crying!!!!!! i have a pic of liv and i from when were like 3/4 grinning at each other and ive wanted to put it in a locket forever so u have inspired me thatll be her bday gift.
tigers are so cool thats an excellent choice. king of the jungle fr.
horror movies & romcoms thats so real of u. the duality of man. & horror movie adrenaline rushes are unlike anything i swear.
not picking between jily and jegulus REAL!!! theyre both so perfect.
answering qs!
im not allergic to anything! (that i know of. so far so good.)
i totally believe in fate, at least to the "everything happens for a reason" degree. i think people need to just live their lives and let things happen cause we cant control everything and it would be impossible to even try. if its meant to be then itll be.
i accidentally fucked up a really good friendship a while ago by not being there for someone when they needed it (to be fair we were both going THRU it so i didnt realize) but we both moved on & they had moved to a different school so we drifted apart eventually. shit happens but theyre happier now so thats good.
i wake up bright and early (its 12pm.) i gracefully get out of bed (i sit on my phone for half an hour before dragging myself out of bed) i go brush my teeth and do skincare (i do brush my teeth but i definitely dont feel like doing skincare) i go make a nice nutritious meal (i make a coffee and some toast if its a good day) i do a wakeup workout (i sit in bed and drink my coffee) i get dressed for the day (im not changing out of my pjs) i do my makeup (im not doing my makeup) i head to campus for my class (my class is online. i stay in bed.)
spiderman or thor!!! ive never read any of the comics so this is purely based on their movies but peter parker i love that man. and thor is a dumb idiot i love him.
i think id switch lives with either elon musk or jeff bezos so i can give away all their money to charity or to pay for important things that they can afford like solving world hunger. i think id also love to switch lives with timothee chalamet like what goes on in that boy's head hes so funny sometimes.
(like which pre-existing fic do i wish i was the author of?) i wish i had written just lovers by zar (also intermission by zar) just because that fic is a masterpiece and to be the author of such a work of art would be an honour.
i wish i had written the iliad and the odyssey cause it would be cool as fuck to be as iconic as homer. (also since homer mightve not actually existed id love to be that much of an enigma too. keep em guessing)
ive never been in love! ive liked people but it never gets past that. i guess im just waiting for the right person to come along. but also, in a way i think i fall in love with everyone i meet. some people are just so cool and ill carry that memory of them forever.
i dance and sing a lot when im drunk. i get loud in general but i will karaoke the shit out of whatever is playing. also i get giggly cause everything becomes funny for no reason.
the worst fight liv and i have had is so dumb, she called me telling me that she was having people over at her place for her bday. i said i wasnt sure if i could make it bc i had 4 papers due that same weekend but i would try bc i obviously wanted to be there for her bday. she called me back a bit later sobbing saying she wanted me to be there and that she was mad i might miss it, i started sobbing because i felt bad and because i was overwhelmed, i told her okay, id be there no matter what, she said okay. we hung up and then she called me back 10 mins later completely fine and we both apologized for the dramatics & everything was fine and i managed to write my 4 papers in time so i could go. (uni and exams were kicking both our asses & we both had a breakdown cause neither of us had slept in like 2 days at that point lmfao)
probably either stargazing and seeing sirius & regulus & that comet, or when i last saw liv in january - we got coffee and walked around a lake for like 3 hours and talked shit abt the bitchy people from high school. it was lovely.
jegulily yes! ive never read any jegulily but i wouldnt mind reading some at some point. again, james has two hands!!! plus i think their dynamic is so fun.
i actually dont watch a whole lot of romcoms so i had to look up which movies would be considered romcoms and from that search my favs that ive seen are: enchanted, easy A, mamma mia, & 10 things i hate about you!
i also dont watch a lot of horror movies but i was fucking OBSESSED with IT in 2017 like fully obsessed. my entire personality was from that goddamn movie.
qs for u!
piercings vs tattoos?
whats your fatal flaw?
if u were any emoji which would u be?
whats ur love language?
fav superhero?
fav fic of all time
fav disney/pixar movie?
whats ur preferred method of annotating books? (like do u add random commentary or do u add deep analysis & thoughts?
what do u think ur animagus would be?
fav aesthetic?
do u prefer to stay in to watch a movie or go to the theatres?
fav day of the week and why
whats your literary archetype? (fun lil quiz, i got the ruler)
thats all for now <3
-bee
bee my darling <333
(first apologies for replying late.I seem to have a knack with doing those kind of things. but now I'm on half-term break , exams are over, so I'm mostly a free bird !!!)
miss Taylor -
dancing with our hands tied - JEGULUS - 'I loved u in secret'. that's all. secret love is theirs , they own it . also also , this is so regulus's line - 'I loved you in spite of Deep fears that the world would divide us'. HIM HIM HIMMMM.
blank space - all the women - I simply couldn't choose between them and since this song is very very female rage to me , I'll say all of them. especially Marlene , because if she's one to sleep around , you just know she was shamed for it.
treacherous - WOLFSTAR - I just really feel the vibe of sirius being like 'I'll follow you home' and remus thinking that the love he feels for sirius is treacherous !!!
chatting ----->
nah imagine being under that statue and you see boxes of free kfc just hanging around . colonel the redeemer would be gods child fr.
everything in the us looks either cool or dangerous. SHE BROKE THE BFF CODE. yta divorce immediately. lu lives like five minutes away from me and it's to and fro from there like everyday. I see him all the time and I haven't even thought about the possibility that one day I might not see him everyday. like that's not happening. peace to u bee , u brave for not tearing the fuck up.
nah fr where are my hot and funny little bitches/bastards. like bro come here and kiss me on the mouth and take me out and we can get married in like an hour.
hosier is bae baeeee. (that's so fucking cool. and I think the coins should so smell like maple syrup. it's fucking unjust that they don't. sue Trudeau.)
Peter = judas and James = Jesus (and I so see ur point with the sirius looking like Jesus parallel. like James (if he was alive) would've so made some jokes about that.
TALKING ABOUT HARRY STYLES - please tell me you saw him at the brit awards yesterday. please. I was in fucking tears when I saw. like broooo he mentioned Zayn??? my boy Zayn ???? my directioner heart is healing for real. (and lewis Capaldi is probably the only person in the world who can among to get the band back together. he has the power.)
I get chased by them whenever I'm at the beach and they've stolen chips from my fish and chips before and it's so fucking annoying like genuinely I wish they'd go fuck themselves.
no genuinely someone should arrest that guy. fucking hate him. piss bag.
ahhhhh annotate it and then buy a new copy for your person and annotate with shit like 'made me think of u' and everything I would cry my fucking eyes out if someone gave me that.
nah bee a nun gonna fly in and drop kick u in the face (now laughing at this image)
it did not cure my hangover ! it made it worse !!! and the worst part was that lu was also hungover so he couldn't work his magic with his hangover potion. and he also emptied his insides out (he threw up) and I was his sick nurse and made him soup and everything. (he was so out of it it was funny as fuck)
canada is smarter than the use for sure (free healthcare and gun control for one.)
bee as a bee oh my god that's so cute (and those costumes aren't lame they're classics)
fr Harvard is so calling.
blowing things up is so so fun. I used ethanol in class recently (there was a big boom) and it was very funnn.
yes pink and green stay winning always >>>
ew not florida ewwwwww.
joey is just bae. I love him so so much. (his funeral fit stays banging.)
I'm just smarter than u bee , let's face it.
update on the banking thing - he said no. he just doesn't like powerful women.
tumblr is so bae , like vanilla extract is so funny to me now
freud would love to dissect that boy fr.
cutting your hair drunk ??? and not botching it ??? you are the chosen one. I bow down to your brilliance.
THE MOST JEGULUS SONG TO EVER JEGULUS. yes yes u must add it. can't believe it wasn't already there in the first place.
it is so perfect. such a vibe honestly. (Wendy's slaps hard. but it wasn't square so I feel betrayed.)
bad times with your best friend so that ten years in the future you can look back and laugh on how stupid and dumb you were.
ahhh no my family has always considered 13 bad luck. but I don't believe it so 13 stays winning <333
can't tell the difference fr (Irish ??? never knew that that's fucking weird (in a good way))
DRARRRRRRYYYYYY the angst is unmatched. unmatched I tell you.
jegulus fics are so so so good I eat them up like soup. and jily is just - perfect. I love them. I love it so so much.
no because those kind of movies are so weird. it annoys me so much. (but watching stuff with someone who's obsessed with the thing you're watching ??? like whatttt. it's so sweet. eg Lu's fucking obsessed with sports and shit and he knows I'm just not - so he always always explains shit to me like when to cheer which team we support and everything.)
I would feel so proud if it was me and I was allowed to use the fancy paints. like so so important and everything I would love it so so much.
I can imagine it now. sock falling in slow motion.
yes thank fuck for that.
get a life of their own frrrr. high time considering their lives are just about to end.
herm and harry are my darlings honestlyyy
yes yes romione is so cute and awesome but I don't personally like fics about them fr.
OH MY GOD A CONSTELLATION TOTE ???? honestly you're so fucking awesome it's fucking coooolllll.
WIRELESS HEADPHONES 5ever fr fr. could never deal with the wires when I'm doing stuff.
LOVVVVERRRRR. ( a 5 ??? that's awesome !!!)
mine's that kind of red or a classic bright red. love them classics and everything I love it <33
it really really really was. (we're all good but we have matching scars now ! hey - tattoos right there ???)
no I loved it so so much I love it so fucking much it's cool as fuck. prize present <33
I'm literally the best friend ever he should bow down to me and my excellence. (no but I just got him all his favourite things and bro got super emotional and everything. )
YES I FEEL SO UNZIPPED WHEN I READ THAT SHIT I FUCKING LOVE IT SOOTHES ME. those kind of confession quotes will always be so dear to me.
YES YES U GET IT. favourite poem ever <33
the air is super crisp and everything feels mega real up there. like I am hyper-aware of the fact that I exist.
yes yes a locket like that is so so cute. she will keep it close to her heart trust <333
YES TIGERS. GO TIGERS.
horror movies & romcoms have my whole heart. rom-coms come first , but horror movies are a close second. (and horror-coms are lovely too !!!)
jily and jegulus are amazing. top-tier always.
reviewing your q's -
god bless u and ur immune system. the chosen 1 fr.
fate fate fate. I believe in destiny and fate and I love it because I really truly believe that I could bump into someone and fall in love. like it could so so happen. It will happen. manifesting the fuck out of it.
friendship break ups make me so so sad. like damn you don't want me anymore???? sad as fuck. (glad you both are doing good now !!!!)
WHAT A FUCING MOOD. same though. I think it's something in the air when I'm getting ready for school. like I get ten times more slugger in the morning I'm getting up for school like I really curse the fuck out of everyone and their mothers.i do it so often.
Peter Parker always <33333. I love them so so so much.(tom and toby and ANDREWWWWW)
(yes yes that's what I meant !!!) I so so need to fucking read it I swear I'll do it. I'm going to do it as soon as I have time honest.
homer is iconic you're so right. keep them guessing always and forever for reals.
I fall in love every time I look in the mirror. no but if we're being honest - me neither. I feel like it's coming though. I love love and I want to be in love too. (meeting the best people and carrying the memory of them forever >>>)
NO HONESTLY. man wearing hat ???? funny as fuckkkk.
not being able to go places because you have exams is so so so fucking annoying. like exams can go to hell (she cried for u ??? that's so sad and honest and sweet honestly best friend GOALS.)
talking shit about bitchy people with your best friend >>>> especially because it's always the darnedest things too and the best friends we have would never expect it and it's always so funny to shock them.
I honestly don't really mind jegulily. I think it's fun , and I might read a couple fics here and there but they'll never be my OTP. I love them , but jegulus and jily stay winning alwayssss.
'I hate the way I don't hate u. not even a little bit , not even at all.' my heartttt. and also Cameron is amazing and needs to be appreciated more.
q's -
now I love piercings (want at least 3 in each ear) but tattoos because to me they can hold much more meaning than a piercing. like it would be amazing and they just .... do stuff piercings can't. piercings still slap though.
loyalty to the people I love. like I've said this before , but I'd absolutely go feral if anything untoward happened to the people I love. i would genuinely fuck the aggressor up. like I genuinely feel like I saw a ten foot tall hunky muscle guy slap lu once , and I was there , I'd get so mad I'm pretty sure my sheer anger would scare him the fuck away. but I'd do it even if they were wrong. like if he says the sky is purple in front of people he doesn't like , then the sky is mf purple until we get home then I ask him what the fuck is going on.
the raising a single eyebrow one. I'm always making that facial expression. (I used to hang out with some pretty sus people and the things they used to say ..... shiver.) and of course the love heart ( where is my pink love heart , apple ?????? where is it ????) simply because I am a hopeless romantic.
acts of service !!! I will always do something like that for someone I love. like you need the groceries ??? not a single word more I'm going rn. also also love love giving gifts. like I really think them out .
SPIDERMANNNN. I love all 3 of them so so much I love the fuck out of them they're my favourites always always.
oh my god I couldn't possibly. but I could. (for each ship I have 1 or 2)
drarry - mental , temptation on the warfront.
jegulus - absentmindedly making me want you
dramione - wait & hope , isolation
wolfstar - of memories and milk thievery , lessen my load
nottpott (harry x theo nott) - rendevouz receipts , lethal combination
btw lethal combination is by the same author as the one who wrote the atlas six !!!! I love it so so much !!1 (nottpott is a guilty pleasure ship)
7. my favourite Disney movie is tangled always always <33333 unmatched. Pixar - UP (I fucking love it. it made me cry so so hard, I love it so so much)
8.i do both. like I have clear post-its , and sometimes I jot my notes down there , other times I have annotated the fuck out of them on the pages. in my copy of Gatsby , I have the word 'gay' written next to a lot of the times nick talks about Gatsby (maybe I'm biased but he was so in love with Gatsby.)
9.i'd love to be a black cat. mostly because I hate how they're said to be bad luck. like they're so sweet and cute and I just love them always. they're amazing. (plus being lazy and thinking they're better than everyone ??? so me honestly.)
10. dark academia !!! I so so so wanna live like that like it's the dream I love it so much. everything about it. the outfits , the scene , the vibes , the feel , the feeling that if I fall in love with someone , it'd kill me to be without them. I just LOVE it.
11. cinemas !!!! I love cinemas so much the vibes , the popcorn , the snacks I've snuck in , the way people clap when famous actors come onto screen >>>>
12. friday !!! end of the week , game night , no alarm to wake upto the next day . Friday has it all always. very dear and near to me <333
13.the lover !!!! no one was surprised by this honestly. it's very literally me. I am very much an idealist always looking for love wherever I can find it !!!

So, Anxceit but make it a human au and a rivals to lovers speedrun, these are my notes, lets go:
Virgil and Janus have a past from their parents trying to pit them against eachother despite trying to be bestfriends when they were kids and it translated into Virgil growing Taller and eventually intimidating the fuck out of Janus and Janus just never backing down as their short genuine friendship as kids turned into a toxic rivalry very quickly.
They never get full on violent but it's a very close thing, where Virgil has had instances of pushing past Janus and pinning Janus to walls when he says something scathing that hits too close to home(because he Knows they both know Both of their weaknesses so well, and is convinced Virgil will use them against Janus and does it first to avoid being hurt first)
It all comes to a head when theyre in senior year and finally starting to come to terms that they both fucking hate their parents for what they did to them and dont want the future their parents want for them, and realizing theyre gay and knowing their parents wont accept that just tops it all off.
(continued under the cut)
Well, maybe Janus is coping with is worse than Virgil is, still having some internalized homophobia left thats directed at Janus himself even if hes trained the rest of it out of himself, bc Virgil has a network of friends and support now and Janus doesnt, bc he forcibly isolated himself, and lashes out at Virgil possibly being gay too(which mightve hit /him/ too close to home as just Another Thing to compete with Virgil with)
And Virgil, not immediately understanding the situation but for once theyre alone with no one to pull him away from Jan so he just pins him to a wall with a threat about being real sick of Jans shit, being gay isn't wrong and he sure as he'll isnt going to take shit from /Janus/ about it, of all people
And Janus is caught tongue tied bc its the exact moment he realizes he Really Loves Virgil for being stronger than him (physically and mentally through all the shit theyve both gone through) and never knew how to cope with it, and their adrenaline is high, and it's the exact moment Janus realizes he doesn't give a shit about what his Parents think anymore and does something he hopes his future self won't regret.
"Fuck it, I'm already a disappointment to them," Is all Janus says to himself, not giving Virgil enough time to process it before grabbing Virge's jacket and pulling him down into a kiss.
Cue extremely heated mutual making out because Virgil is just Done trying to parce anything out at the moment and finally doing what he'd wanted to do for /years/. Despite the jabs and mutual toxicity, Virgil was able to see through the outside in just how much worse Janus had it as they grew up, understood his lashing out as a trapped animal that was never going to know safety until he escaped, and they other reason they had turned on eachother was because of their parents mutual effort to pit them against one another. He may not have loved Janus in that exact moment, but he was damn well ready to.
Eventually Virgil moves down Janus's neck, and bites down hard enough to mark and suck a noticable bruise into Janus's neck, because they both know Janus's parents are going to flip about it, "That's for all the years you were a dick,"
And then he oh so gently cups Janus's lost face and presses a much softer much sweeter kiss to Janus's lips, "and thats for all the same years that /I/ was a dick right back."
And then they stand there, tucked up against eachother against the wall, clinging to eachother in a desprate attempt to keep the fragile peace.
"Our parents are fucking awful." Jan says
"I could've told you that, but yeah. Welcome to club a la shitty parents, population: us." Virgil agrees.
"..I'm sorry. For all of it."
"I know you are. We'll figure it out. In the mean time, your coming with me to Pat's house, no choice in the matter. Its a safe space and we're gonna use it to talk about our.. ugh, *feelings.*" Virgil fakes an exaggerated look of disgust, but it falls away to a softer, indecernable look.
"Gross. But I wouldnt dream of fighting you on that even if i could," Janus snarks, tucking his head against the others chest.
"..Yes you would." Virgil smirks, leaning his head on Janus's.
"..Yes, I would. But only because I seem to *love* riling you up." Janus agrees, feeling lighter than he ever had in his life.
Virgil was going to have trouble explaining exactly Why his childhood rival was tucked into his lap, dressed in his favorite hoodie, and not snarking and cursing him out to Virgil's friends; but nothing was gonna compare to the absolute chaos that erupted when Virgil and Janus had glanced at eachother somepoint later down the timeline and leaned in to kiss eachother as casually and naturally as if theyd already been doing it for months.
It was certainly going to be a very long afternoon, but. It was also the day everything changed for the better, and they wouldnt have had it any other way.

Will you talk more about Lisa?? Lisa the character specifically but also your feelings on his feelings about Buddy? I just thought your analysis was so good and I want to hear other thoughts you have on her.
yall are honestly spoiling me rn sdhkfdjfks this is like a dream come true
i already got into the stuff with buddy in this ask here but i have a LOT to say about lisa and the connection between her and buddy so u better settle in!
ok so firstly ill start with lisa. i played the original lisa game (lisa the first) not long after it first dropped in 2012, and im not even kidding when i said it changed me LMAO.... seeing a story about a girl suffering is nothing new, but austin jorgensens approach to it was so fucking unique. you dont just witness it, you get to EXPERIENCE it right along with her. many stories that involve sexual abuse/rape show or otherwise depict it explicitly for the shock value, which is both disgusting and, in my opinion, extremely fucking exploitative. i feel that it is horrific to dignify an act so deeply evil with screentime. but lisa stood out to me immediately because, even though you know exactly whats going on, the game NEVER shows anything explicit. everything is layered in subtext and symbolism, and austin is fantastic with indirect storytelling, so you learn so much from just a little drop of information. this applies not just to the game proper, but to the character as well.
in case its not clear: i absolutely ADORE lisa. she is my favorite character in all of the games, bar none. its going to sound kind of fucked up, but as a kid around her age going through some fucked up shit, her committing suicide at the end felt like a sort of victory to me. she knew she could never escape from marty or what he was doing to her. he leaks into every single part of her psyche, everything she ever cared about or loved is ruined because of him, and even the vague memory of her mother is completely corrupted, and turned into a muddled version of him. lisa the first also had the added benefit of some religious commentary, as there are crosses all over their home and marty is characterized as an extremely religious man, which i fucking LOVE and wish had come back in the painful, but its an acceptable loss. anyway, lisa committing suicide at the end was an act of defiance against not just marty, but martys god, as suicide is considered a mortal sin in catholicism. lisa knew she’d never be free of marty in life, so she escaped the only way she could; she was defiant to the end.
ive seen people complain that the painful has a bit of a “lost lenore” thing going on, since lisas death seems to fuel the Manpain of both brad and buzzo, but i actually disagree. on the contrary, its just like austin himself said - lisa will never be gone. lisa is ALWAYS there, with brad, and buzzo, and buddy, and marty, and yado, and the ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD. i dont necessarily think that there is something paranormal going on in the game, but i AM going to say that, unlike other cases of a girl/woman dying for a mans backstory, lisa isnt just a bittersweet memory they can reflect on and then put away when its convenient for them. she is a presence that is felt throughout the entire game. brad sees her more than once, sometimes watching, sometimes reprimanding him. buzzo is clearly haunted by her, as he cries out to her a few times in the joyful. every character who was directly touched by lisa - brad, marty, and buzzo - calls out to lisa as they die. call it their guilt or call it her actions, but in either case, it is clear that lisa just as significant of a character in the painful as she was in the first, even if she cant always be seen. even in a meta-sense, every game in the series - even the joyful, whose protagonist doesnt even know who she is - is named after her. she is at the center of everything that happens in them.
that actually brings me to buddy, because i find the dynamic between her and lisa fucking fascinating. as i previously mentioned, brad never talked about his past with buddy, and snaps at her for bringing up his adoptive son dusty (rando), so it goes without saying that she definitely doesnt know who lisa is. in spite of that, though, lisa is a fucking massive part of buddys life, and while she may not know the person herself, i think she is aware that when people (and brad especially) look at her, they arent seeing HER.
i mentioned it in another post, but even though brad takes it upon himself to raise and “protect” buddy, he seems to almost unwittingly recreate lisas appearance, primarily by allowing her hair to grow long even though he knows what a risk that is to her safety. he also treats buddy in a manner thats incredibly similar to how marty treated lisa (sans sexual abuse, of course) - he insults her, does not let her leave the house at all, and forces her to do unsavory things that no one should ever have to do (in buddys case, this means killing at least two innocent people because brad doesnt want a “weak” daughter). the most literal comparison between buddy and lisa is the fact that they are both very young girls being essentially held captive by their father figures, albeit for different reasons, and both long for freedom from their captors.
theres also the fact that both buddy and lisa have to deal with misogyny and the effects of rape culture firsthand; they both battle against men who feel entitled to do with them whatever they please, and the threat of ongoing sexual abuse looms heavy over both of their heads. neither one can seek help from anyone; the neighbors in brad and lisas town seem complacent at best, if they even know what is happening to lisa at all, and buddys only allies (sans rando) are long dead by the start of the joyful. this is not just a hypothetical or a distant possibility. this is the real, tangible fate that will befall them if they cant somehow secure their safety.
sadly, because lisa wasnt playable in either of the rpgs, we dont know if she was able to fight as brad was, but it is highly probable that she had the innate skill but was never able to learn it (as marty highly discouraged them from learning “their grandfathers karate,” and seemed disgusted whenever brad did so). however, she did have ONE weapon she could make use of, and this is a weapon buddy ends up using, as well - her femininity. she became close to bernard (aka buzzo), made him fall in love with her, and then used him as a last ditch effort to stop martys abuse by having him mutilate her face. im not saying lisa never cared about bernard - in fact, i think she DID really love and care for him - but her own fucked up experiences with “love” meant she really couldnt understand what it was supposed to be like, or that it was wrong to manipulate the people you care about. lisa did very few things wrong - it pretty much just stops at the maiming of the cat and her manipulation of bernard - but she knew that she would never get away from marty without some kind of drastic action being taken, and scarring herself was her last ditch effort before ultimately committing suicide.
buddy ends up taking a somewhat similar tack in the joyful, and like in lisas case, its simultaneously resourceful and horrific. one of buddys key moves in the joyful is to flash the enemy (which the player obviously doesnt see) in order to distract them long enough to get the kill. its fucking horrible and disgusting and makes you feel so dirty, but then, how must buddy feel having to do something like that just to survive? shes just a child, but in a world where almost every man is out to get you, she knows this has to be done to save herself, very much like lisa. unlike in lisas case, though, buddy is successful in securing her safety in this way - lisas effort is for naught, and leads to her committing suicide not very long after.
in a way, i sort of attribute buddys brutality to lisas omnipresence; all of the men pursuing buddy are just like marty, monsters who would harm a fucking child for their own disgusting ends, and i think that when buzzo said that lisa wouldve loved olathe, what he means is that she would have loved seeing so many horrible men being punished for what theyd done. so in my opinion, buddy carving out a place for herself in olathe by killing all those who would subjugate her seems very much in the mentality lisa would have had. sure, there are some innocents who sadly get roped into it, but that would definitely not be her intention; for example, if buzzo could have practiced amputation without harming a living thing, i dont think lisa would have asked him to practice on the cat. note the LACK of brutality at the beehive and the swamp bar, two of the few peaceful places in the painful and both devoid of predatory men hunting for buddy - lisa has no qualm with any of them. but marty? brad could hardly even get a full sentence out before killing him on the spot. i dont doubt that that has a great deal to do with lisas presence.
ok i talked for a while LMAO but basically i think that, in a more metatextual sense, lisa and buddys relationship really strikes me as an accurate depiction of generational trauma. of course it was intentional with the more obvious trauma chain (marty to brad to buddy), but the trauma chain of marty to lisa to buddy is rarely ever addressed due to lisa not physically appearing in the painful. however, i believe it may inform buddys actions a great deal more than people realize - after all, buddys experience is unique, but who could understand it better than lisa? who knows that sort of pain, of being alone on an island, the lone woman trapped with a man (or men) who want nothing more than to cause you harm? even without her realizing it, lisa is guiding buddy, encouraging her to take back what is hers no matter the cost, to punish those who would try to take what they want from her. lisa might be dead, but she is a vengeful presence throughout every game, and buddys actions feel like theyre meant not only to save herself, but to avenge lisa, even if she doesnt realize it. at the end of the day, buddy and lisa both get to exact revenge against all the men who have wronged them, and they succeed. they are aggressive, and violent, and selfish, and ANGRY - and they have every fucking right to be.

For my request, can you write a one-shot featuring Yasuhiro Hagakure reenacting the drowning scene from Disney's Aladdin please? For context, the yakuza finally caught and decide to punish him by sending him to the ocean. So theyd strip him to his briefs, shackle his hands and feet, and cloth gag him. You can decide if he survives or dies. What do you think?
mod kyoko here, thanks for my very first request! it was unique and fun to write :) i sincerely hope it satisfies you <3
trigger warnings: cloth gagging, nonse*ual bondage (honestly don't know if that's what i can call it but someone gets tied up in a nonse*ual context), drowning
⚠️⚠️⚠️ caution, the picture below may strain your eyes!
Tumblr media
♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧
this is a one shot about:
Tumblr media
running from the yakuza was not yasuhiro hagakure's talent. he may be tall, but he sure as hell is not athletic. maybe that's why he was stuck in this situation right now. or maybe it's because he sold a fake "rare" crystal to a group of buff men with weapons. whatever he did, he was not prepared to run.
"get him!" shouted a gruff voice from behind hiro. he didn't dare glance behind his shoulder to see where they were, but he knew they were on his tail. there were roughly six men chasing him, all covered in tattoos, piercings, the works.
hiro's heart pounded in his chest as he leaped forward as fast as he could, desperate to escape his fate. it was no use, the yakuza had caught up to him. the full moon shone brightly on his target, the ocean. he figured if he could make it to the water he could hide himself. as the light bounced off of each wave, hiro closed the distance between himself and the serene waters. he was almost there. he was almost safe...
almost.
suddenly, a large hand enclosed around one of his dreads. a grunt barely escaped hiro's lips as he was yanked backwards.
"got him!" bellowed the grisly man from behind. while the other yakuza members caught up, hiro's hands were forced behind his back and tied with a scratchy rope. he screamed and squirmed as the rope was pulled taut against his wrists, so tight that it began to cut off his circulation.
"what do we do with him, boss?" the yakuza spit, tossing hiro to the ground. his first instinct was to beg for his life.
"please! please, let me go, i'll do anything, i'll give you your money back! just please, let me go, let me go!" unfortunately his pleas held no ground in the cold hearts of the yakuza. The boss finally spoke up, his voice cold and low.
"kill him."
as soon as he heard the words, yasuhiro screamed, tears falling from his eyes, kicking his legs as his fate was sealed. two men stepped forward and tore off his shirt, and began unbuckling his pants. hiro thrashed around, and managed to kick someone in the eye. next thing he knew, a fist was flying towards his face.
the sheer impact of the punch sent him into unconsciousness, but only for a little while. when he came to, his mouth had been stuffed with a cloth and he was completely naked except for his boxer briefs. as the weight of the situation sank in, he began to panic again. his chest heaved up and down as he stared up in fear at the six men standing above him. they all wore sadistic grins while hiro moaned and cried through the gag, his body trembling in fear.
however, they didn't give him much more time to cry before he was heaved, and eventually dropped, into the ocean.
his wrists, his throat, his lungs. everything was burning and aching. the first stage of drowning is surprise. is this real? denial. no, this is not happening. someone would come save him. hiro continued to struggle even after he noticed he was sinking way faster than he should have been. had they tied a weight to his ankles? well, he couldn't check to make sure. the moonlight did not penetrate this deep into the water.
maybe, if he stopped struggling so much, he could think. surely he could do something. well, that was impossible now. in a wild, struggling frenzy, hiro took in salty water through his nostril. the water forced it's way into his lungs, but he couldn't cough, the gag made sure of that. instead, the air he had been holding in forced it's way out back through his nose.
the next stage of drowning is unconsciousness, then hypoxia, then death.
as he continued to sink down to the deepest depths of the ocean, his eyes slowly drooped, his limbs went limp, and the already dark waters became even darker. finally, the burning subsided, but so did his consciousness. by the time he finally reached the sandy bottom, his lips and cheeks were blue and purple from hypoxia. there is no coming back from this.
and then, he was gone.
♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧♤♧
this concludes the one-shot. hope you enjoyed it, and feel free to request to your heart's desire.

another kind of goodbye
for @carry-the-sky. happy birthday, my friend! have a little post-cancellation kastle fic.
It’s three months, give or take, when Frank lets himself think about her again. Really think about her. Not in the passing kind of way, where he’s walking down some street and sees a bouquet of gardenias, like the kind he’d almost gotten her instead of the roses that day. Or when he’s sipping on coffee, and Karen’s face flashes like a mirage at him across the cheap Formica table – blonde hair almost white under the shit diner lighting, but those eyes still so blue as she told him he would never lie to her.
So – okay, so he thinks about her. He thinks about her.
(He wonders if she—)
Frank eventually makes his way back to the city again, after. Another day, another job. Madani thinks he’s meant for something greater than this – than picking off these scum-of-the-earth kinds of assholes that litter the streets of a place like New York.
He can’t believe that he was meant for greater, but. Sometimes, he does wonder. If a part of him – whatever part of him that’s not still buried deep down in the ground with his family – was meant to come back here. To walk these streets and feel the pull of her, always, even when that’s all he can afford to feel.
He tells himself that has to be enough.
He’s been laying low, since his return. Coughed up some cash for a three-hundred-square-footer in Brooklyn, but he crosses the bridge to the city most days, maybe even finds his way to Hell’s Kitchen from time to time too. It’s risky, he knows. If Murdock catches wind of him, they’d be lucky to walk away from each other in one piece. And Karen…
There’d be a different kind of hell to pay, if Karen ever found out.
His phone gives a single buzz in his pocket as he’s hunkering his way down 47th, and he stops in his tracks, nearly colliding with an elderly woman in the middle of the sidewalk.
“Excuse me!” she says in a shrill voice, bag clutched tight to her chest.
“Apologies, ma’am,” he nods as she makes a show of putting as much distance between them as possible, and then he fishes his phone out, hesitating for one absurd moment before glancing down at the screen.
Back in town yet, Castle?
He barks out a laugh. Chrissakes, Madani.
His phone buzzes again.
I have a job for you, if you’re still interested.
“Still,” mutters Frank, with a scoffing shake of his head. He thinks he admires her perseverance, but Madani’s gotta know she’s only wasting her breath.
He cuts south down 10th, toward Lincoln Tunnel. It’s a brisk day, and the wind on his face feels sharper than usual, considering he hasn’t bled much there in a while. He jams his hands deeper into his pockets, ignoring the insistent drone of Madani’s follow-up call.
He’s got a date with a park bench on the wrong side of town, and if he closes his eyes, he can pretend it’s the same bridge overlooking the water, and when he opens them again Karen’ll be there, waiting for him.
His closest call comes with, of all people, the lawyer. Not Red – the other one. Franklin Nelson.
Frank’s emerging with coffee two storefronts down just as another door opens, and he’s cursing himself for not seeing the signs when out tumbles Nelson with his back turned, adjusting his tie against the wind.
“Foggy bear, wait!” someone else is laughing, and a blonde lady steps out to chase after him, slinging a purse over her shoulder and reaching with her other hand to link around his elbow.
“I told him this was gonna make me late for work,” grumbles Nelson, but without any heat to the words. “Dad’s surprise party isn’t until tomorrow, don’t know why this couldn’t have waited – oh, crap, I forgot I told Karen I’d pick up some coffee—”
Nelson’s about-facing sharply, girlfriend following closely behind. He doesn’t appear to notice Frank crouched down in a corner by the 7-Eleven, hood obscuring half his face as he trains his eyes on the ground by their feet. The girl unearths some coins from her bag as they pass, clinking them onto the lid of Frank’s coffee cup without seeming to hear his low mutter of thanks.
He’s leapt up the moment he hears the door latch shut, brushing the coins into his palm as he goes.
He leaves them with a guy camped out by the train stop, a dog lifting her head from their blankets to blink sleepy eyes up at Frank, and he walks away harder, takes the steps two at a time and wishes – God he wishes—
Another text from Madani.
He shuts his phone off. Goes back to retrieve it ten seconds later from the trash can that he’d dumped it in, wiping it down and scowling as her message pops up on the screen.
Castle – offer still stands, FYI.
“You should call her back,” advises a man huddled down by the newsstands next to him. His face is like leather, worn down and weathered with age, with living. “Apologize for whatever it is that you did, so you don’t end up out here like me.”
“Already there,” Frank tells him, turning the phone over and over in his hand. Madani’s message lights up again each time, flashing and flashing until he sees it like a burn through his retinas even when the phone’s no longer facing him.
“Damn. That’s a damn shame.” The guy shifts, scratching at a spot on his back. “Maybe shouldn’t’ve stayed away from her for so long.”
Frank shakes his head, uttering a short, incredulous laugh. “Well, maybe I got my reasons, yeah? You think about that?”
“Doesn’t matter what I think,” shrugs the guy. “Does she think they’re any good? These reasons of yours?”
Frank turns away, jaw working furiously.
“Yeah.” The guy shouldn’t have any right to sound as smug as he does, and yet. “Yeah, I didn’t think so.”
He’s got no place in coming here. He knows it. He knows it, but he thinks it was always meant to be this way, him circling back around to her, even after everything that he’s done to push her away. Maybe a part of him had never left. And the rest is just – there, hovering right at the edge of some sharp realization, that he could try to be whole again if he simply took that first step. And a part of Karen must at least sense that. It’s why she’d never really given up on him, before.
It doesn’t change how I feel about you.
Frank wonders if she’d forgive him this time. If he’d even want her to.
It wouldn’t be anything close to what he deserves, that’s for goddamn sure.
He gazes up at her fire escape, counts the number of steps it would take just to be able to reach that bottom rung from his vantage point across the street. Her shades are drawn, the lines of them blurred out in the dim orange light. On one corner of the windowsill, wedged up against the glass, there’s a small stack of books. On the other, a vase. From this angle, the shadows folded into the fabric of her curtains look almost like flower stems.
Frank squints, and the stems disappear.
There’s about a week in between, where he feels himself inching closer to something, each time he drops by her block. He never goes farther than the patch of sidewalk across from her building, but it’s getting harder not to just careen over the ledge.
More than anything, he wishes he knew, in those moments obscured in half-darkness, whether he’s come to look for that after she’d spoke of, or if he’s come to say goodbye.
Then, one day he spots flowers in her window, for the first time since—
(They’re pale white against the cream of her curtains, their stems dark slivers of green, and he imagines them pricking the pad of his thumb, drawing up a spot of blood.)
Frank takes a deep breath.
She doesn’t look surprised to see him when she opens the door, swinging it back two-thirds of the way before stopping. Her lips are pressed tightly together, like there’s too much to say, or maybe there’s things that she can’t, either way he can’t read her and he thinks she’s never terrified him more.
Frank drops his gaze, mouth moving soundlessly until the words grind their way out. “How’d you know I was here, Karen?”
He’s not sure what kind of answer he’s expecting. That Nelson had grown a real pair of eyes, or that Red had managed to ferret him out of his lurking somehow. Or maybe Karen really just hadn’t known at all, and those flowers were never for him.
What Karen says instead is, “Dinah and I grab a beer together, sometimes.”
“That right?” he asks, trying to lay out an image of this in his mind. It sits strangely there, stumping him for a moment, and some of his bewilderment must show on his face because Karen’s mouth almost turns up in a smile before flattening again.
She leans away from the doorjamb, waving her hand in a worn-looking gesture before letting it drop to her side. “Besides, you…haven’t exactly been subtle, in your haunting of Hell’s Kitchen.”
He doesn’t know what to say to that, other than a gruff, “’S’what dead men do, Karen,” as she folds her arms and sighs at him.
“You sure you’re not just losing your touch, Frank?” She steps into the doorway, whether to move closer to him or to block him out of her apartment, he can’t tell. “Or was it because you wanted me to know but couldn’t tell me to my face?”
His eyes snap up to hers, twitching slightly under the sharp weight of her gaze. He shakes his head, wishing he could just ask her, What do you want from me, Karen? but they’re long past that now, and if he can’t find his own way to answer her, then.
God, he really doesn’t deserve this woman.
“I think I—” He shifts his body and tries again. “I think I needed to figure some things out. Karen. I was waiting 'til I felt like I was ready, and I don’t think I’ll ever be that.” But I’m here, he wants to say, but I’m here.
“Yeah.” Karen’s nodding, hair falling into her face, and she brushes it back, resting her chin in her palm for a moment. “I know that, Frank.” All of the fight in her seems to have ebbed slowly back, and he resists the urge to reach out and shake the storm back into motion, to make her understand she doesn’t get to let him off the hook so easy.
The look she gives him now is softer, but he knows. Fight’s not done. May never be done. And he knows this because he knows he’ll never stop fighting for her.
She’s stepped back into the door, letting it swing open further. She doesn’t invite him in, but she’s quirked an eyebrow up at him, biting her lip with another deep sigh and a shake of her head.
“You, uh.” Frank glances back and forth at their surroundings, doesn’t quite meet her eye. Tries to lighten his tone through the gruffness as he asks her, “So, you wanted to see me?”
Her voice is soft, forbearing, with a hint of gentle knowing behind it. “You didn’t?”
She’s holding back the clear start of a smile from him this time, and Frank. Christ. It’s taking everything in him not to step toward her, to—
Karen tilts her chin at him, the motion loosening another wave of blonde hair, and he can’t remember anymore why he was trying so hard to stand back from all this. He’s moving, swaying forward until she’s just an arm’s length away, and there’s something almost teasing about the way she relaxes her shoulder into the door as she watches him.
“You back to kill some people, Frank?”
He feels a corner of his mouth turn up. This girl. He licks his lips, lets out a quiet sort of laugh. “That was the plan, yeah.”
Karen gazes up at him, unblinking. “Have you?”
“I was—” Frank has to look away for a moment, finally turning back when he can. His eyes are steady, boring into hers, voice low and full with meaning. “I was. Working on it.”
Karen nods. Doesn’t speak for long seconds, and he measures them out in heartbeats, chest tightening hard enough it feels like it might break when she asks him, very carefully, “Still?”
Frank steps closer, close enough to feel the way her breath shakes with a small sigh, how her body moves away from the door to meet him.
His hand is inches from hers, but he doesn’t reach for her. Not yet.
She waits, gaze searching. He gives the barest shake of his head, and a single word, gravel-filled, a promise. “No.”
Something cracks open in her expression, and it means everything to him, her head ducking away as though she can’t have him looking too closely at the way she's biting back that smile of hers, and he thinks – he thinks he wants to make her do it again, and again, for as long as she will have him.
“Would you like to come in, Frank?”
He takes her hand in his this time, feeling the pull of her as he steps across the threshold, door shutting firmly behind them, and it feels like coming home.

Hey! I couldn't find the au you were talking abt(prince!levi n king!erwin) could you please give me the name if you still remember it?
omg sorry anon i wasn’t talking about anything that exists (yet), although i’d be surprised if there wasnt something similar out there that i don’t know about. it was just an au that i elaborated on in like, may of 2016 according to gdocs (jesusfuckingchrist) and i think some art did get drawn of levi but my memory is failing me, so i can only offer you a summary and a snippet of the wip that i found >:
basically erwin’s dad was king and he got assassinated by rod reiss in a coup and he took over and became a tyrant and kidwin escaped cus the few left in his father’s army helped him and he grew up with them plotting to take the throne back and he eventually did and killed rod but lost his arm doing so. and then after that he started renegotiating alliances and stuff with other countries and one of them is ruled by QUEEN KUCHEL who brings her son levi with her (their country basically got shit on by rod and there was a famine there b/c of him and blah blah etc but erwin wants to make up for all of that b/c he thinks theyd been a good ally to have) to erwin’s place to talk about shit and right away erwin is like wow prince levi is sexy but levi’s attitude is basically erwin is another asshole tyrant until proven otherwise which means he’s probably going to try to charm/fuck kuchel to get what he wants and is so convinced of this that when erwin tries to flirt with him by talking about ~a betrothal~ levi thinks he means kuchel and gets pissed:
“Yes.” Erwin said, smiling slightly. “If the alliance goes through. If it does, perhaps we can celebrate with a betrothal.”
It was meant to be a joke. A teasing word with romantic undertones, because Erwin felt encouraged by the small agreement they’d just reached. He also felt his heart flutter when Levi looked in his direction with a less than hostile expression and softened eyes, and...well, he was only trying to flirt with him. He wasn’t foolish enough to think that there was a chance Levi wouldn’t get offended, but he didn’t expect him to immediately tense up, either, his face twisting into something between anger and disgust as he cursed, stood up quickly enough to cause his chair to scrape across the ground, and clenched his fists at his sides so tightly that Erwin thought for half a moment he might lash out at him.
“And here I thought maybe you weren’t as much of a piece of shit bastard as you seemed.” He all but snarled.
Then, he twisted on his booted heel, turned to stride out of the room in a muted fury, and left Erwin sitting in his chair, thinking that since Levi seemed to find the thought of marrying him that offensive, he must truly, actually be as much of a ‘piece of shit bastard’ as Levi seemed to think.
The next morning, Levi wasn't any less hostile. In fact, he seemed more so than he had been before, before Erwin had managed to butter him up a bit after days of harsh glares and clipped speech, pleasing him enough so that he'd let his guard down for a moment until Erwin had managed to ruin it in an instant with one poorly executed, ill-timed word. It had been magnificent, really, how much he'd offended Levi with just a single flirtatious joke, but he'd been foolish. Just because Levi had, for a moment, appeared to not want to run him through with a sword didn't mean that he would be receptive to Erwin saying things like that, and he didn't blame him for getting angry.
It had been inappropriate, and although a part of Erwin might have mourned the fact that he'd failed to charm the prickly prince, his true worry was that it had done something to ruin what progress he'd made in brokering the alliance. Thankfully, Levi's hatred had not seemed to transfer to his mother. She still wasn't completely trustful of him, of course - he could still see it in her eyes - but Queen Kuchel was all smiles when she arrived at breakfast that morning, dressed in her usually finery with her scowling son at her side. He was escorting her as was appropriate and wearing a short, waist length cape that matched her gown, the perfect picture of a well-dressed, dutiful prince while he led her into the room.
It was only after Erwin glimpsed his face did the illusion crack, because his expression when he looked at Erwin was filled with so much disdain that it seemed to be palpable, wafting off of him and causing Erwin to feel a fresh wave of guilt for offending him so greatly. His fist was clenched at his side, too, as he and Kuchel approached and Erwin stood up, forced to take the last few steps to greet them because Levi had stopped short. That he didn't think much of, because he was too busy fending off the glare Levi was giving him while he politely took Kuchel’s hand and kissed it, so heated that Erwin didn't doubt it could almost melt iron.
Clearly, he was still fuming, and the thought was what prompted Erwin to then turn to him after he'd let Kuchel go, bowing low before him and even tipping his head so far down that he had to hold his crown lest it topple onto the floor. It was meant to be an apology, a silent gesture of respect and acquiescence and an acknowledgment that he'd done wrong. He didn't much care for all the strict social rules and double meanings behind everything that came with being royalty, but he was a king, and surely him bowing to Levi, a prince, was meaningful enough so that it would be recognized and Levi would understand.
If Erwin had been hoping for an acknowledgment, though, he wouldn't get one, as when he stood up back up Levi was still scowling. In fact, it almost seemed deeper now, and the only real difference in his demeanor was the fact that his face was now bright red. Kuchel, on the other hand, was smiling widely, looking more pleased at Erwin's display than she had anything else all week. Before Erwin could ponder that particular development, however, Levi was scoffing under his breath and leading his mother off in a hurry, helping her into her seat so that he could sit down hard in his own chair, crossing his arms and legs and turning his head in the opposite direction to glare at the wall.”

I haven’t been able to really vent out in a proper way how I’m dealing with a loss recently. It’s built and festered into a weird transparent stress, one that’s always there but possible to ignore when necessary. I tried to find ways to escape it and to find other stressors and problems to distract me. I found myself craving oppurtunities to ruin myself, physically or emotionally. Running into problems I knew I would regret if I went far enough, but just needing something other than the guilt regret grief confusion anger and sorrow to distract me. Using problems to cover problems isn’t healthy or smart. Music is fine but I’m too frustrated with myself on viola to be able to use it to properly cope. So this is the alternative. I don’t know what I was wanting from this. I just wrote shit about it. Its long and I don’t intend to bombard my few active followers with a semi sob story with no coherent wording. Feel free to read, because I guess somehow sharing it and being vulnerable is part of the process I personally have to go through to deal with shit.
Thanks for dealing with this stuff, whether scrolling past it or sending messages or just being friendly recently I appreciate it. I won’t make this part much longer. But.. yeah. Okay.
What I would give to go back. Take it all back. Do things the right way this time. December. Do the holiday season right, because saying that there was always the next year, that she would be in good health then wasn’t enough. Because saying that we’d do traditions and be happy and celebrate the new year as a family, next year of course can’t keep a heart beating. January. Do the big crafts we had been postponing for years. Make the house more accessible so she could have had a chance. Take care of the backyard so she could enjoy the only real view of the outside she had. Spend more time with her, watch those shows and share moments with her because soon those moments shared between two would become nothing but memories only dear to one. February. Call her back a few more times. Spend more time with her on the phone instead of being busy with friends. Be there for her, because she was struggling in a way I couldn’t accept, so I pretended it wasn’t there. March. Spend time with her during spring break. Go ahead and play my repertoire for her, because she kept asking and I kept saying “it’s not good enough yet, I promise in May I will though.” But I didn’t realize it didn’t matter how good it was. It just mattered that she would get to play an active role in something she made possible. I didn’t realize she didn’t have another May. Hug her when I left instead of being in a hurry, because little did I know that was the last time either of us would see each other, that I would never see her smile again. Stay on the phone with her a while longer instead of saying “I’ll call you back in the morning”, only to wake up late and postpone it to a later date that wouldn’t exist. To not have the last time she heard my voice be “Sorry I have to go I’m grabbing dinner with some friends, I’ll call you back tomorrow morning, love you.” To beg harder for my dad to hand the phone to her when we realized she was incredibly ill. To not waste my time saying “I swear to god I don’t want to have to pick up the phone to hear she’s gone because she couldn’t get to a hospital / refused to go” and instead call her because I was too damn correct with those predictions, and little did I know I had less than 24 hours. To call her during that 5 min break before class even for some small thing just to hear her voice. I would give anything. Anything for even an hour with her. An hour to tell her I was sorry, that she meant so much to me, to tell her that I’ve continued to do well and that she wouldn’t have to be disappointed in me for giving up. To tell her all the dumb stories that I was holding until my 21st birthday. To tell her about all the dumb mistakes I’ve made and get some last words of wisdom. Losing a parent you were close to carves a hole in your heart. You’re left indescribably in pieces that you can glue back together and make it appear as if it was never broken to everyone around you, only for you to forever notice the crack and the small pieces that you couldn’t find or put back together. Left forever changed. Thinking maybe the glue worked this time, all seems well and you’ve gotten used to the chips and missing pieces. Then you find another one, you notice the crack you’ve been avoiding. And it all falls apart again. Nothing will ever be the same. Nothing will ever carry the same innocent brightness that came with a world in which no one close to you could pass away, one where you knew for a fact loss is inevitable but the inability to conceive of a world without them was enough to keep you afloat. The world will always feel a little heavier. A little darker. A little more empty. Everyone say’s it gets better. The truth? It gets worse, at least it did in my case. The only thing that gets better is your ability to outwardly cope and say their name without wincing. But the more time passes the more pieces you find missing. The more things you find that break you. The more time that passes the more of your story that is left unshared and unknown to them. The more ‘milestones’ they promised theyd be there for pass. Of course, life as a whole becomes easier to cope with. “Things get better” has truth to it. Memories stop being guilt filled and tragic and rather become bittersweet. You regain the ability to think about stuff like before. But everything always is a touch heavier, darker, and emptier.
#personal#grief#loss#tw: death#tw: grief#tw: loss#losing a parent#big yikes#i wont lie im struggling way more than i should#im struggling in a way that doesnt need help its just idk#im struggling at my own cause#im torturing myself and im not sure why#at some point i guess i decided i deserve to suffer and be in a shitty situation#that ive been doing reckless shit#grasping at any oppurtunity to escape my own head or at least distract myself enough with some other problem#ill be okay#i just need more time healing than i expected#im not good at coping with shit clearly#by now this shouldnt be a problem but whoops there it is#i mean at some point ive started to directly blame myself for her death#i guess i finally put together that if in these past few years i got over myself and spent more time making our house more accessible than#watching youtube or spending a lot of time with friends#then maybe shed still be alive#maybe shed make it to my graduation or be able to experience the last few years of her life at the very fucking least#i mean hell i blame myself for not taking a video of the streets and buildings around our house#she told me how excited she was to see how the neighborhood looks compared to 4 years ago#she knew she wouldnt get to#she knew she wasnt going to get better and she knew she was lying to us saying she had doctors and was getting consultations.#her death gave her more freedom than her life ever could these past four years#its just a god damn fucking shame the first time she was in any way outside these last years was in a body bag

12/8/17; paris (again)
HE SAID IM DONE BABE IM OUT OF THE SCENE
And he had been. I remember he swore everything off the second he thought we actually stood a chance.
I remember our first real date like yesterday. Part of me doesn't know why I remember it so well -- I'd tried so hard to conceal every detail of it from everyone I knew, at first, considering I was ashamed of liking a mediocre-looking college boy I'd met in person just once who'd taken my picture. I remember the way I told stumbling stories punctuated with random Japanese phrases in a last-ditch effort to impress him, and how when I asked him about his major he clicked the pen he always carried in his pocket and sketched out a nuclear core on a napkin. I remember the burst of anxiety in my chest, nagging, tugging, the million thoughts running through my head and how he said he could feel me fidgeting whenever our knees touched under the table.
The waitress got so tired of bussing Diet Coke refills back and forth from the fountain to the table, as I kept sucking them down, in part to calm my nervousness and in part because of the exhaustion I suffered, so she started just cracking open cans at the table and pouring them in empty glasses ahead of time. Saved all three of us time, and her the shared awkwardness of me seeing his face for myself.
If I wasn't born Mormon, I'd be dependent on something. Whether it was sex, or drugs, or alcohol, I know by now it's so much better to feel numb as opposed to feeling everything and nothing at the same time. And he was dependent -- on all three, if we were being exact, but laughed when I asked what he was doing that night. "There's a party at home," referring with a wave of his pale hand to the booming metropolis of 200> from which he'd hailed, less in his whole town than my graduating class, "but I don't think I'll go. It's not my place anymore."
BUT HE WAS PICKING UP
And now I'm sure he does.
People feel either very past-tense or present-tense to me. And somehow, after months of not speaking to one another and me barely recognizing him the last time I saw him at my local coffee shop, he remains present-tense.
Maybe it's because your first love is the one that lasts until you discover your true love. Maybe it's because I keep trying to make peace with my pieces, and leaving cookies at the doorsteps of people who have egregiously wronged me, but am too scared to even text him to see how he's been doing. Whether or not his mom still forces him to sit through documentaries about polygamy, and if he ever figured out how to play that one song on the guitar (probably not since the express purpose in playing it was to play it in my presence). I want to know, out of curiosity and strangely not from a place of envy, of new sparks in his life. I want to know if he's genuinely better. I can't tell if I feel love for him past-tense or present-tense, but I know now that it's a different type of love. The love I feel for him is the same fondness and affection I look at my friends with, or videos documenting my previous dance career, or writing projects eventually scrapped, but it's still there. I think I may love him, in some form, forever. It won't be the same experimental, sensual, clumsy first-love type-love I once shared with him, however, I left a piece of me with him when he won me over last spring.
I know he's returned to his old habits and I honestly couldn't blame him for it either way. It was just another thing that separated us, another star in the galaxies between us. Even though Mormonville Idaho reeled at my filthy language and short shorts, it did nothing about the fact that he hotboxed his car in both empty and full parking lots or got drunk in the comfort of his own home or brought home lots of girls all of the time. You know what they say about guys who play the guitar -- fast fingers. And I think he left a piece of himself with me, too. The piece of him that never really learned how to cope with what was going on around him, or maybe the piece of him that made ill-advised choices at high school overnight functions, considering I would never consider one-night stands at a debate tournament appealing before I'd met him, and now I try to convince freshman girls sleeping in the bathtub wouldn't be THAT bad and DO NOT TELL COACH ANYTHING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
All of this has me thinking about pieces, and the way that feelings evolve, and the idea that emotions change but what was once there still lives on somewhere.
Rebounds aren't as fun. Boys my age kiss with either too much tongue or too much agressiveness or too much in general. On the other hand, I am too much in general, and boys are turned off by the plain truth that theyd be obligated to love me through it all. Guess what? So am I. Imagine living with a mind constantly looking for fire escape routes. Try living in a body that wants to die. I'm bored by the idea that I'll never be loved because he proved it to me, that it's possible, however I don't think now is the proper time for me to experience that. There are things I must go through completely on my own, of my own volition, because my Lord knows I would devote myself to someone I loved in a heartbeat even if it meant giving up myself.
ID LOVE TO GO TO PARIS AGAIN
Sometimes, I drive the stretch of Old Town I used to when I'd drive home from his place just to try to soak in what little memory I have of this time in my life. I've found it doesn't elicit the same religious excitement within me, rather, it just makes me question where I'm going next. What my next Paris will be. When I'll look up from doing whatever, whether it's getting my picture taken or eating a stack of chocolate-caramel pancakes or doing my math homework, and notice someone staring at me. Where is the next geographical location I'll add to the proverbial map of my heart? When will I stick a pin in an infinite layout of streetlights and brick businesses and remember it as somewhere, or someone, significant?
Because these roads really do mean nothing. The Paris isn't even really the Paris, if that all makes sense. These places and people are all just perceptions of who I want them to be, as is my ex and the intrusive thoughts about him that somehow grow clearer as the year wanes on.
It's not like I want him back. I quit seeing his sweet apparition in my dreams in September, for starters, and this ongoing phase of Singledom has made me realize I have so much love to give that wasn't ever exclusively his. It's never been about wanting him back.
It's always been about this idea and this town and Parises. This is psychobabble and I recognize it as such as I type it out but I can't stop now. Pieces of me are everywhere here and that's why I need to leave. In this town and everyone I meet only see a reflection of my own face, and it terrifies me, because like I said things will die out but the flame continues to slowly burn.
I'm not making sense. I need to go to bed. I guess I get why he drinks now. Maybe one day he'll understand why I write.

Steven Caulker:’ I’ve sat here for years hating myself … This year was almost the end’
The QPR defender talks powerfully about his strives with mental illness, his addictions to gamble and drinking and why “he il be” thankful still to be alive
Steven Caulker has a fable to tell and, as hard as it is to hear, it is best plainly to listen. His stream of consciousness veers from scoring on his England debut less than five years ago and the excite at potential being realised to the frightening mental health issues a matter that have almost terminated it all in the period since. A actor who, from the outside, emerged consecrated with endowment and opportunity speaks of frantic nervousnes and self-loathing.
He entertained killing himself in his darkest instants with his path one of self-destruction. Endeavors at escapism rate him hundreds of thousands of pounds, compensations frittered away in casinoes. Then came the drinking is targeted at numbing the sting. The 25 -year-old notes himself recalling the times spent in custody watching CCTV footage of his misdemeanours, his lawyer at his slope, and not recognising the infamous being on the screen.
Football is still coming to terms with mental illness and Caulker, an international and a last-place linger remember at Queens Park Rangers of financially misguided dates as a Premier League club, has been an easy target. He is not was striving to make excuses or acquire sympathy. These are details he knows unpleasant to narrate. Ive sat here for years hating myself and never understand why it is I couldnt only be like everybody else, he says. This time was almost the end. I seemed for large spans there was no light-footed at the end of the passageway. And yet “hes not” residence a gambling since December, or stroked alcohol since early March. The healing process that can rehabilitate him to the top level is well under way, with this interview, one he attempted out, potentially another step on the road to recovery.
A little under a year ago Caulker had spoken to the Guardian about a life-changing week spent in Sierra Leone, of humbling yet invigorating benevolence work with ActionAid that had rendered him with a sense of view. He returned to be galvanised under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at Loftus Road and, having invested the previous season on loan at Southampton and Liverpool unfulfilling stints which fuelled his latent dangers was ready to give his all. Early season recitals against Leeds and Cardiff indicated confidence had been rebuilt, reward for a summer of incessant fitness work.
The trigger that they are able to mail him spiralling to rock bottom would be injury. He snapped his groin at Barnsley and played in pain for weeks, dreading a incantation back in rehabilitation, before succumbing to an accompanied hip objection. I owed it to QPR to try, he says, but I was naive thinking I could still perform with the weeping. He has not played since last-place October, with the period celebrated by personal ferment and, simply of late, resurgence. Talking publicly, he advocated, may place younger participates towards seeking assist if they find themselves trampling the same itinerary, or knowing the same gumption of desertion, in a merciless industry. The real hope is the activity, as gallant as it is, may eventually prove more cathartic for Caulker himself.
He recognises his football ability as a gift but likewise a swear. It took him from Sunday League at 15 into the Premier League four years later, to the 2012 Olympics with Great Britain and into Roy Hodgsons England side for a friendly in Sweden later that year. His talent has persuaded some of the most respected directors he is worth engaging. Yet, while he could still get away with it on the pitch, he lived in denial. It was more than six years into his busines before he admitted he necessitated assist. You always think you can rein it back in again and the money plies a inaccurate sense of security. But at Southampton I realised, mentally, I was extend. I wasnt playing, my job was going nowhere and I had to reach out to someone. Medical doctors there tried to help me but others were just telling me got to go on the tone and express myself.
There was no understanding as to what was happening in my leader. I know theyd returned me in to do a job and they werent there to be babysitters. Just like at QPR, I needed to justify the money they were paying me but I was in a state and, at some place, there has to be a duty of care. Football does not deal well with mental illness. Maybe its changing but the support mechanisms are so often not there. Ive spoken to so many actors who have been told to go to the Sporting Chance clinic and theyve accepted because they know, if they take time off, theyll “losing ones” neighbourhood in the team. Someone gradations in and does well, so youre departed. That dissuades parties from getting improve. You feel obliged to get on with things.
I would urge cubs to speak to the PFA, to speak to their director, and not be scared about being stopped if they are experiencing like I did. Be brave enough to say you need improve before its too late. The feeling Id ever involved something to take the edge off. Football was my flee as a kid but that changed when I was chucked into the first team as a adolescent and abruptly football came with distres. My behavior of to address it, even in the early stages of my career, was gambling. Im an addict. Im addicted to triumphing, which people say is a positive in football but certainly not when it extends to gambling. I was addicted to trying to beat the system, because you reassure yourself there is a plan to it and you can beat it. You can never get your brain around why you arent.

He has played 123 ages in the Premier League and for eight teams with the same, horribly familiar hertz of insecurity and self-destruction seeking him to each. There is always a catalyst to the nosedive. The sleepless darkness, sat up till 5am replaying every bad decision Ive ever became in my life, perturbing what will be next Tottenham moved me to Bristol City on loan at 18 and they set me in a flat in the city centre surrounded by nightclubs, two casinos opposite, the various kinds of coin Id never seen in my life, and no counseling whatsoever. I was plucked formerly by a member of staff and told Id been recognized in the casino at 3am but their posture was: What you do in your free time is your business. Just dont gave it affect your acts out on the pitch.
At Swansea a year later it was an injury which created it all to the surface, and Spurs communicated me to Boasting Chance to sort myself out while I was recovering from my knee but I wasnt ready. I hadnt experienced enough agony to form me want to stop. I was gambling heavily when I went back to Tottenham, biding up to crazy hours of the darknes in casinos. I guess never feeling good enough played a big part in that. I never appeared I was on the same degree as any of the first-teamers but a big win in the casino and fund in my back pocket might change that. Being stopped sounds me even more because football was what I had relied on to make me feel better. So then the gambling was every single day. The pain of forgetting all my fund, combined with the pity and guilt, ingest away at me. So Id drink myself into oblivion so I wouldnt have to feel anything. I was numb but I was out of control.
The chairman, Daniel Levy, eventually attempted him out on a post-season trip-up to the Bahamas. He just said: The room you act is phenomenal. You either sort yourself out or lead but I can assure you, if you leave, youll be going down , not up. I was young, stupid. I took it as a challenge, a chance to prove him wrong. I was so immature. So I went to Cardiff and, for six months, everything was amazing. I was chieftain, the manager, Malky Mackay, knew I had some issues but offered to be there for me. I experienced wanted, so there was no gambling , no heavy binges but the second largest he was sacked, all the beasts came back. Thats all it took. Even before we played the next game, Id persuasion myself good-for-nothing would be the same. Thats the kind of cataclysmic envisioning Ive had to address.
Steven Caulker, here playing for Tottenham against Arsenal in 2010, says he made a big mistake leaving Spurs. Photo: Tom Jenkins for the Guardian
I pointed up at QPR that summertime, 2014, trying to hold it together, but the prompt there came in the second largest recreation when we were pummelled 4-0 at Tottenham. That detecting coming off the tone at White Hart Lane, knowing marriage been humiliated and that Levy was sitting up in the stand thinking: I told you so There was no disclaiming it any more. Id made a big mistake leaving Spurs. I should have stayed and sorted myself out. I required the ground to swallow me up. It just pounded in my psyche: dejection, unhappines, bitternes. From that instant I was run, even if I never wanted to accept it, and there is nothing that intensified. Id go for days without sleeping. I dont known better I endured it. That time was an absolute nightmare.
It was a vicious circle. Wed lose at the weekend and the love would get at me, and Id be interrupting. I really wanted to help us get results but we werent good enough and Id walk away taking responsibility in my head for the whole crews flunks. I couldnt sleep, are concerned about what had happened. The only comfort I acquired was in booze. It would silence the tones of indecision and self-hate, temporarily regardless, but Id be too intoxicated to go into teach, and the blackouts Id have no remember of anything. It could be Monday and Id have no remembrance of what had happened since Saturday night. Id wake up, roll over and look at my phone, and thered be texts from people saying: Did you really do this last-place darknes? The director want to talk to you. It was petrifying because I didnt know what had happened.
There were occasions where reference is would wake up in a police cell. He pouts when asked how often he has been arrested, upset to admit the above figures, but the drunk and disorderly offences would flare up from London to Southampton to Merseyside. Sometimes Id be sat there with law enforcement agencies and my solicitor, watching the CCTV footage of what Id done, and I didnt recognise myself. I couldnt conceive the person or persons I was. Its so hard to accept I could be like that. In Liverpool I was waking up in the middle of the nighttime throwing up, people were blackmailing me, association proprietors and bouncers: Offer money or well sell this story on you. And I had no meaning what Id even done on those blackouts. I eventually told the sorority I couldnt function and needed to go back into rehab.
Things might have improved last-place season under Hasselbaink had the hip hurt, diagnosed as a week-long edition that became a complaint which induced five different diagnosis , not interpret him powerless is again. Id expensed the organization 8m, was one of the top earners and one of the few left from the Premier League, and beings had no explanation why I wasnt acting. Why I was absent. It ended up as my toughest year ever. I couldnt learn. My girlfriend lost her mother and was grieving while living with someone struggling with craving. My son, who lives with his mother in Somerset, is still in academy so Id go months without recognizing him. He had always been my safe place. There was no release.
QPR and my agent tried to push me towards Lokomotiv Moscow in January, saying it would be a fresh start. Portion of me contemplated the money they were offering could solve all my difficulties but why would being on my own out in Russia help? I had no feeling how to separate the cycle and is available on Moscow while still disabled only appeared a recipe for disaster. The director, Ian Holloway, was actually tell people to stand. Id been in his office close to rips, so he said: How anyone could feel sending you there would be a good theme is beyond me. You need to get yourself right. I realized him for that but, for the sorority, I can see why it was appealing to be shot of me but I was in no fit district to move and eventually pulled the plug on it.
Id had one last-place gamble and lost a blaze of a lot of money in December. A last blowout. It was at that point I lastly countenanced I could not win; that there was no quick fix , no more fantasizing I could save the world through one good nighttime on the roulette wheel. It was all a fantasize that took me away from having to feel anything. I entertained suicide a lot in that stage. A dark era. Everything Id gone through in football, where had it taken me? All the remorse, the shame, the shame, the public humiliation in the working paper and for what? I could cling to my son, to what Id done in Africa, or the dimensions Id bought their own families, but Id blown everything else. I calculate Ive lost 70% what Ive payed. When “were losing” that amount of money, the guilt thats so many lives you could have changed. There was no flee , no way out, other than to leave.
Steven Caulker says: In Liverpool I was waking up in the middle of the darknes throwing up, parties were extorting me, club owneds and bouncers. Picture: Sarah Lee for the Guardian
But, in the moments of clarity, I knew I couldnt do that because of my son. I havent gambled since but the drink crowded the void for a while. I was frightened and didnt feel like there was anywhere else to transform. Rehab didnt production before so why would it work now? I stupidly took convenience in the alcohol but it objective up deepening the depression. It was relentless from every slant. Until 12 March. Thats the day I lost my “drivers licence”. Thats when I realised my life had now become unmanageable.
Caulker was ordered to pay 12,755 in penalties and costs at Slough magistrates court at the end of March and was banned from driving for 18 months, having refused to blow into a breathalyser after police were called to a parking lot near Windsor Castle. I knew I was over the limit, I knew Id get the ban but I didnt want to tell my parents Id fucked up again. What if I had driven the car out of the car park and killed someone? No, that was it. Ive been up before a adjudicate four or five times. No more second probabilities. Its a incarcerate sentence next. I was still injured and unable to play, so I signed off sick. I went to see a specialist who diagnosed me with depression and nervousnes. He prescribed me medication and we put together a design where I would take some time away to sort myself out.
He and his lover travelled to Africa and India, is contributing to orphanages, homeless shelters and academies where the bear was exposed and obvious. He has attended countless Gamblers Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous gathers, and has reached out to support works in video games such as Clarke Carlisle for advice. He has not touched alcohol since his arrest in March. He takes medication, a feeling stabiliser is striving to match my high-priceds and lows, and address that substance inequality which draws my practices so cataclysmic, twice a day. Golf is a new, most constructive vice.
People say Ive done all this because Ive had too much money shed at me but I know teenagers without a penny who have the same addictive characters as me. Whether I played football or not I would still be suffering from this illness, precisely without the public pressure and mortification. Addiction does not care. I am a man of extremes. Parties dont find me doing the additional training, feeing right, going to the reserve every night to get fit, were represented at the anonymous convenes, doing the donation make. That is still me. That is who I am. But I get fucked by these other demons and I desperately necessary something in the middle. I feel like Im getting there now, that things have finally changed.
Im doing interesting thing merely to prompt me to stay on track. I could be relying on taxis to get me everywhere while Im banned but Im exploiting public transport. Im living in one of the owneds I own in Feltham, back where I grew up, to stir me recollect how hard I had to work to get out of here aged 15. Its a remember that, if I continue to unravel, I wont improve my statu again. Money considers the fissures. It can be evil. It prolongs the agony.
QPRs musicians reported for pre-season last-place Friday but Caulker, who has one year to run on his contract and has been improving all summertime with the former conference player Drewe Broughton at Goals centre in Hayes, had been signed off until July. Life at the golf-club had degenerated into an incessant flow of internal disciplinary hearings and, despite Holloway having become clear his desire to retain the centre-halfs business, his future will not is currently under Loftus Road. What happens next is all a bit perplexed, all a bit uncertain, he says. The manager has texted me several times offering his support and “says hes” misses me at the club but my brand-new representative has been informed by the owners Im not welcome back.
For too long Ive disliked everything about myself and I needed to learn to affection myself again. I miss video games like crazy. I dont detect as if Ive experienced playing football since Cardiff. I dont want to type my identify into Google and just see a roster of humbling narrations. I want people to remember I am a footballer who was good enough to represent his country at 20 and still has 10 years left in the game. At 40% of my ability, I was playing at the highest level. Now I feel good mentally and I want the chance to show people, including my son, what I am absolutely capable of. Wherever the opportunity starts, Im exactly appreciative still to be alive.

Lance and Catherine Summer siblings
Disclaimer I do not own One piece. Lance Summers One Piece OC :Messy dark hair an bright green eyes like his father.Thought to be dead by his sister, which was the only other survivor of the house fire so long ago. Lance Is a few years older than Catherine. He was taken by one of the staff members who conspired against his father. The staff member was going to do the same with catherine but she had fled the mansion long before he could get to her. Seeing it being the best choice.  He knocked out Lance and escaped the fire . Promptly dropping him off at a Marine base with a note that his family had died in a fire and he aspired to be a marine.  All this time Lance trained and fought on the side he believed good. The shock of his life came a few years later when he saw his younger and very much alive sister on a wanted poster, with a high bounty serving as the captain/navigator of a small pirate crew.   Lance sighed and ran a hand through his messy black hair. He was thinking over what his commander had said about all pirates. HE was alittle disqusted. To him not everything had a black and white view. Not all of them were bad. He knew for a fact where his sister beliefs lied. When sent to aphrend pirates he always desired to bring them into justice of the marines alive. Lighting another cigarrette sighing into it. Being a marine hadn't been what he'd thought it was. They only thing it did was hone skills and make him strong. An gave him a chance to find his sister.  He was gonna have to find her first. Her safety was of upmost importance. He went out on a huge limb to convince the his superiors she'd be a asset. Make her a warlord he pleaded. She may be a free spirit but she's not a bad person. Fairly reasonable. They said theyd look into it for his sake. Finally after much pleading he made some head way. He set sail to the new world where Catherine and her crew had been spotted. She just had to go an pick a dangerous profession. He had taken his time to read upon his sister, her crew, her conquest. Catherine he smiled. If she'd denied his request he'd leave the marines and join her crew. They'd spent so long apart. An he owed it to her. Looking at her poster if given the choice between his career/life and his sister he throw it all away for her happiness. He remebered bits of his life with her before the fire. He had always a soft spot for the girl. He knew if she'd lived her life would be a great one. As a child she was smart, pretty, possesed charm, was ambitious, wanted to see the world more than anything and had a bubbly personailty. She was younger than him, had so much to live for. He'd catch up, offer the request wait for her answer. Go from there, he just hoped she knew what she was doing. Trying to catch her was something in itself. She was like the wind itself. Here and then gone just like that. Calm/gentle and violent and angry. Her skills and powers had got her very far indeed. -------- Great his fellow marines  just had to complicate things. It was gonna be hard to convince her to join now.  The reaction to fire fist ace's death caused her activity spike. He'd heard rumors about the two pirates meeting up frequently as good friends. While she had refused to harm civillians an wreck towns. She had gone out on a limb to just cause unnecessary conflicts within the world government itself. Finally he'd finally reached her. Sending a messenger bird he'd waited to recieve word back. Boarding her ship they'd hugged. She was fairly cautious of him. He asked where everyone was. SHe'd alway had a hard time lying t him at least. They left its only me, Ray, and Issac now don't worry though we do just fine on our own. They discussed everything from the fire up until now. He extended the offer. But warned her to decide quick. She confided in him her fear of dying but vocalized that she couldn't fight along the side of people who had taken the life of someone dear to her heart. Thats when he asked who exactly is/was fire fist Ace to you Cathy. Smiling at the nickname for her long ago. "Ace, He was a friend, albeit an attractive and captivating person. He was someone who looked at me.  We'd grown to respect each other in brief passing. She hadn't known about his father or anything else. I just knew who he was as a person and he helped me out more than once. "I told him a few things while we were sharing drinks. "It wasn't romantic feeling that I felt for him, at one time it might've been. But we both had to many issues and responsibilities to indulge in that. I don't believe he deserved what happened to him, the real reason behind it, how the whole thing went down. Everything went too far. I don't wanna die but I can't exactly side with them now. I'm sure you understand that. I could always wait for another oppurtunity. What will you do now brother? Don't think I'd wanna fight you." You came onto my ship under the pretense of truce and cooperation. Sighing he'd figured it'd come to this. Her eyes were averted waiting for him to say he'd already chose which side he'd wanted to be on long ago. Eyes widen when he decalred. "Guess I'll join you, Cathy, you could use my help right. My dream wasn't all I thoughted it'd be so. Don't think you'd mind my new one. Goes without saying I wanna stick with you. Make sure your happy and you reach your goals. I'll report back to headquarters say I'll be staying with you undercover while you think it over. An I'll stop you from doing anything too crazy.I'm sure they'll figure me out soon enough though. So what about it sis?  A journey with your big brother won't be so bad right?" Sighing but trying to fight the smile." Yeah, just don't try an take over though or interfere into things to much. I don't want the marines on a immediate manhunt for your head. So reckless. Just decding to for go everything you worked for just to..to." Her green eyes had began to water and her voice stating to crack before she could get it out. "To protect my lovely little sister. What kinda of brother would I be if I chose the little things over someone as important as you." He finished and hugged her, she had dissolved into a sobbing mess, the marine part of his mind told him it was a dumb decision and now would be a good time to strike. But the brother part of him knew he'd never hurt her, or betray the trust she'd placed in him. He noticed two guys emerging on deck and were regarding him with narrowed eyes. Seems they were protective of her. He took his eyes off them, and went back to soothing his sister, finally her cries subsided and exhaustion took over. Going lax in his arms, he swept her off her feet. "Care to direct me to my sisters room?" At that the mens eyes widen, and while they still seemed weary, looking at Catherine, they begrudgingly showed him the way. The second he placed her in bed with a kiss on the forehead and tucked her in like him and his mom used to. He noticed the smile in her sleep as she turned over. As he exited the room he was met by Issac and Ray. "Lets go have a chat." Following them upstairs to the dining hall/kitchen. Ray fixed some coffee, and set down three cups. That surprised him. He didn't expect that but he didn't trust them completely not to posion it. Noticing his reluctance Issac grinned and switched all three drinks. Ray I trust you didn't do anything to our guest drink but if you did, your going to be the one drinking it. Nodding they all took a drink at once. "Whats your business here marine?" He had to hand it to them, they got straight to the point, he didn't dislike it. He answered the reason, and then that when she denied the offer he decided he join her." They shifted in their seats  "Why now?" Ray spoke up. "I've actually been trying to find her since her wanted poster came out, I was told everyone died in that fire. But when I saw the poster there wasn't the smallest bit of doubt. She may have grown up, but the thing that never changed about her would be that smile.  She looks like mom. But that smile has always been her own. Its always reached her eyes, its always been an assurance that its going to be okay. No matter what she'd seen or whats happened. I always told her to never lose that smile."  He smiled sadly. "I was worried that the events of marineford would take that away so I wanted to hurry. I don't plan on leaving her sight. Her recent activty has caught the attention of marines, bounty hunters, and pirates alike. Just three of you isn't gonna cut it anymore. We actually need alot more than for people to operate." Issac cut him off. "I know that, her decision though, I was going to ask her if we gather a whole new crew or find another stronger one to join. She'd wanna ally herself with Ace's little brother if she had the chance but I doubt she could do that right now." Ray went to strike a cigarette but Lance had already held out a lighter. "Thanks." It was gonna be a long night. When their captain awoke she was surpised to find them at the table talking civily. Her laugh brought them out of their conversation. "Don't suppose you have room at that table for one more?" Moving out of a chair Issac stood and went to reheat the breakfast he'd made that was starting to go alittle cold placing it and her orange juice at the table she'd got the message. Sitting down she bega to eat, noticing the stares of the man around her after taking a drink. "Not going to kill me are you, the silence and the fact im the only one eating as you stare holes in my head is a tad bit unnerving. Anyone wanna speak up and tell me whats going on?" What came out as a bright scarcasting remark turned into a grumble toward the end.  Ray glanced at the other two who had averted their gazes. Son of a b..."Ray?" Gulping he knew since he'd automatically been volunteered to talk to her by the older guys in the room he'd have to address the matter the best we could. " Well actually the guys and I were discussing what you'd do next. Things are getting to dangerous for just the four of us to take on everyone and everything at once. I was wondering if you had a plan for our nex course of action." Her intense and caculated gaze turned into a beaming smile that had him and the others wondering if he'd finally said something tactfully when talking to her. "I do indeed have a plan, but I was hoping to discussing it with everyone last night however everyone decided to go to bed early and Lance showed up. I recieved a letter a few days ago and I've thought it over, you noticed our ship changed course correct?" Waiting for the nods to go around. "A very well known pirate in need of a navigator. Has extended an offer to me to become part of his crew, you've been made an offer as well but I will not speak for you." Her voice seemed firm, but unsure. "Whos the pirate?" Ray asked. Noticing her unsure gaze. "I believe we are well informed of him, Its captain Eutass Kidd." After finally choking out the words she noticed the wide eyed stares. " Thats why I said you'll have to answer for yourselves. A supernova made me a offer I couldn't refuse, I've already decided to ignore the marines offer." She looked around the room. "Can't change your mind I'm down" Ray looked to Issac. "To think I was gonna retire soon, Marie would kill me if i let you do something so reckless alone." Issac and Ray glanced at Lance. The former marine actually stood against everything the Kidd pirates did. Noticing Catherine didn't even look his direction he watched her, she knew how he felt, She actually disapproved of the unnecessary bloodshed as well. If she thought she could stomach it, he'd join her. "Already told you Hope, not leaving your side. Lets go meet him. If he goes back on his word or does anything you don't like. You could become a warlord by taking his head." Issac and Ray definetly liked that idea. After that discussion they branched off to their jobs at the ship. WIthin a day they'd be meeting the infamous captain Kidd. Catherines last thought as she docked the ship was. "I hope this meeting goes well."
