Sonia and Komaeda getting along well enough to room together is so good honestly. Even if its mostly bc she takes no shit, Komaeda was still like the only person to stand up for her when Teruteru was trying to get frisky about her naiveté in the prologue/ch1.

I kind of suspect she was acting more unknowing than she really was then, to suit her role as a princess, but he had no way of knowing that then. Plus, if she was aware then, it might be easier for her to recognize the side of him that isn't all hope n murder? Since outside of the killing game he's pretty polite (if self effacing) and generally not down for creepy behavior.

If you've got any more thoughts on these two's interactions postgame, I'd love to hear.

thinking about doing a month-long event for the homestuck tumblr community to encourage people to make + post fanworks as well as reblog other people's fanworks.... where people can opt-in by being randomly assigned one of two teams (probably red and blue) so that each team has roughly the same amount of members. teams get points for making fanworks and having their posts reblogged, which encourages people to make posts and also reblog the posts made by their team members. and the top 3 people in each team to get the most points get some kind of reward... hmmmm

My room is full of birds again; every year I forgot what raising birds is like.

9 baby button quail hatched this morning! they are super cute! but they are babies and loud. Since its cold and rainy out, they will probably grow up inside. So 5 more weeks of them.

My dominant gambels rooster tried to off himself today being stupid. I found him, brought him inside to sleep in a box, which he did for about 4 hours. Then he woke up, hopped out of the box looking for food, I gave him food/water which he accepted, now he's roosting on my bookcase 🙄 Thank goodness he's one of my tamest birds; gambels are not house pets. I'm hoping he just went into shock/got chilled and can go back outside tomorrow. Also acquired 6 valley quail this evening which are in a dog crate for the night, and my canaries are all hatching their eggs right now, so the dining room is also full of birds.
