Hellooo!!! I have a Spencer Reid request, but feel free to ignore it if you're not up for it hahaha! I was thinking about BAU!Reader and maybe her and Spencer starting to mimic each other because they've been together for a while and spend so much time together? Like the way they talk, etc! I think it could be so so cute, especially if they don't realize they're doing it and the team noticing it for them? Thank you so much, I love everything that you write 🤍
Thanks gorgeous!
cw: discussion of tongue preservation methods? sorry in advance
Spencer Reid x bau!reader ♡ 560 words
You gaze lovingly at your boyfriend as he goes into detail about how to preserve severed tongues.
“So the fact that this unsub is purchasing equipment actually shows a lack of medical expertise, since he seems to be going overboard with preservation measures.” Spencer’s nodding as he talks, a tiny scrunch between his brows. “It’s pretty silly actually. It’s probably only a matter of time until he figures out he just needs to keep them on ice.”
Rossi’s eyebrows raise, and Morgan chuckles quietly.
Spencer blinks, eyes refocusing as he comes out of his brain and back into the conference room. “What?”
“Did you just say the unsub was silly?” Prentiss asks, and his eyebrows refurrow.
“Did I?”
“Let’s stay on task.” Hotch is all business. “If he were as inexperienced as that would suggest, he probably wouldn’t make clean cuts. This skill level indicates some level of expertise.”
“Well, actually, I’m not sure it would necessarily be medical expertise,” you say, cringing at your own knowledge. “The process he’s using doesn’t sound dissimilar to how I think they preserve cow tongues. Maybe he’s preparing them to eat.”
You’re doing your best not to squirm, and Spencer can likely tell, placing a slender hand on your leg under the table. “That’s a good point,” he says, “he could have experience as a chef or in the meatpacking business.”
Prentiss frowns. “Yeah, but how many chefs know how to preserve tongues?”
“Maybe we could start by looking into restaurants that serve those kinds of delicacies,” JJ suggests.
“Good.” Hotch closes his binder, standing. “Garcia, you get started on that and we’ll touch base with you from Atlanta. Wheels up in two hours.”
“Yes sir.” Garcia looks a bit green—you sympathize—as she hurries out of the conference room.
Morgan’s giving you one of his knowing looks, collecting his things extra slow, until finally you sigh. “What?”
“Well, actually,” he mimics, lips curving into a grin. “You and pretty boy must be getting serious if you’re taking on his signature phrase.”
You roll your eyes, but Spencer smiles, looping his crossbody bag over his head. “Actually, language style matching is only one form of mirroring. If you’re paying attention, people who spend a lot of time together can mirror each other down to their breathing rhythms or how many times they blink within a minute.”
You look at him interestedly. “So what does that mean? Just that we’re spending too much time together?”
The look Spencer gives you threatens to liquefy you with its softness. “There’s never too much time.”
Morgan’s laughter is hooting, and you want to find that as cheesy as he does, you really do, but the place within yourself where you usually reach for sarcasm has gone mushy and useless. You rearrange some things in your bag unnecessarily, head down to hide your blush.
“Wow,” Morgan sighs happily, “I don’t know which one of you is more whipped.”
This would normally be your opportunity to think of a retort, but luckily you don’t have to. JJ pops back into the room, looking frowny.
“We just got a call from Atlanta. The unsub killed again overnight.”
Spencer grows serious. “He’s accelerating?”
“Yup.” She nods. “Hotch wants us there now, so it’s wheels up in twenty.”
You and Spencer nod in tandem. “Sick.”
Morgan’s eyes roll straight up to the ceiling.

cw: implied child abuse
Eddie's coming over for coffee. Not Eddie with Nancy and Robin or Eddie with the kids. Just Eddie.
They haven't been alone in 9 years and now Eddie is coming over for coffee.
They're friends, of course. After Vecna they didn't have much of a choice, but they've never talked about it--that they used to be something.
After Steve kissed Eddie goodbye for what turned out to be the last time, they didn't see each other again for months and months, except for a devastatingly fleeting moment in the Family Video parking lot. And the next time after that, Eddie's pinning him to the wall of a rickety boathouse, a broken bottle to his throat.
What's going through his mind, his body, at that moment is relief. For days, weeks, months, he ached for Eddie's touch again, and even though he was in danger, he relished in the push of their bodies together. Thought, if this is how he dies, he won't mind going.
But they don't talk about it, about them, because Eddie is on the run and Max is going to die, and they have to save the world, so there's no time. In the aftermath, it's the least of their worries, and now it's been almost a decade and Eddie is coming over for coffee.
The thing is, it's not like Steve has been pining away for a love long lost in the intervening years, and neither has Eddie. They've both had longterm, serious relationships; Steve almost got married. But for Steve...Eddie is the one that's lingered, the one that knocks around his ribcage on late sleepless nights, the one that makes him dream of what might have been. Because Steve truly loved his other partners, but Eddie--nobody will ever compare.
Someone is knocking a rhythm at his front door, and he can't stifle his smile even as his heart runs riot in his chest.
"Hey, man," he says, remarkably nonchalant as he takes Eddie in. Still beautiful, still brimming with energy; his smile wide and dimpled, bouncing on his toes.
"Harrington!" Eddie grabs him into a quick side hug, slapping his back. "Since when do you wear glasses?"
Steve chuckles, touching the horn-rimmed frames. "Oh, god, Robin forced me to get them back in '87? Too many concussions." He touches his forehead. "I usually just wear contacts."
"It's a good look," Eddie says. He's very much not looking at Steve, eyes roaming around the Chicago apartment he's been to many times before.
He watches as Eddie spots the display of his own books, index finger slowly slipping across the spines in a way that makes Steve remember when those same fingers would slide down his spine. He stifles a shiver, turns towards the kitchen.
"So, how's New York? How's the book coming?"
"Livin' the dream." It's not flippant, not like how most people mean it. Eddie leaks genuineness, always has. "The book though...it's a little rough."
Steve sets the coffee maker going, brings fresh pastries and a couple plates over to the table. "I can imagine. It doesn't--it doesn't have to be the same, you know?"
"Yeah, if only I hadn't written three other books leading up to the evil mind wizard," Eddie chuckles. He grabs a croissant and tears it in half. "It'll be alright, Harrington. I'll figure it out. I lived through it the first time, after all."
Steve doesn't remind him that he almost didn't, that they almost didn't. Instead, he pours coffee, listens as Eddie talks about how to fictionalize the worst month of their collective lives.
He splashes milk into Eddie's coffee, taps in three scoops of sugar. He carries it to where Eddie waits, still talking about the logistics of Vecna-slash-Henry-slash-One in his novel, but his words abruptly stop as his hands wrap around the porcelain.
"Steve?"
It's only then that Steve realizes what he's done--made Eddie's coffee like he took it back then, made it without thinking, totally on muscle memory, when the best of his mornings were spent in Eddie's arms.
His cheeks glow crimson and he grips at the back of his neck. "S-sorry." He says. "It--is this still how you take it?"
"Yeah." Eddie's eyes fall from Steve's face, his own cheeks pink. "It's--yeah. Still the same."
"I'm sorry--"
"--Steve, I--"
They don't laugh. They both stop speaking and look at each other, faces still red. Steve thinks there's nothing for it but to get it all out now.
"I'm sorry, Eddie." He takes a deep breath. "I'm sorry I never came back. I'm sorry I didn't explain why. I'm just--really, really sorry."
Eddie's eyes are hooked on the table top, fingers twisting and twisting his coffee mug. "Can I--why? I waited and you--why?"
Steve swallows, but it gets stuck in his throat, and now he's the one who can't look up from his hands.
"My parents got home early," he manages. "My dad, he was waiting for me. I guess one of the neighbors thought it best to tell them who I'd been spending my time with."
Silence falls over the table, and he chances a look up at the man across from him, the one whose knuckles bite into his lips, whose eyes shine with unshed tears.
"You should've called me. You should've--you could've stayed with us. We would've kept you safe."
"Eddie, I couldn't. I physically couldn't," the admission costs him so much.
"Steve," Eddie chokes on his name, voice nothing but anguish. "Did anyone--You could've--you were all alone."
He shakes his head. "Robin knew. She snuck through my window to take care of me, but my parents--I couldn't--" This time the words really won't come. "We made a plan. We started that job at Family Video, and we saved up our money."
Now, Eddie's face is creased with grief. "Sweetheart, I'm so sorry."
Steve shakes his head, smiles despite the wreckage around his heart. "You have nothing to be sorry for, baby. I left you with no explanation. I broke your heart. And--and--" He thinks, what does it hurt to say it at this point. "I love you. I love you so much. I convinced myself you were better off without me, that we could have a clean break and you could get over me."
Eddie's hands cover his face, muffle the sob that slips out. "Get over you?" He whispers. "There's never been one like you, sweetheart."
He slides around the table to kneel at Eddie's side. "Hey." Deep brown eyes stare back at him, Eddie's face wet with tears. "It's always you, Ed. Always. I didn't want to say anything, if you had moved on, but--"
There's not really any transition from them talking to them kissing; Steve slips into it like he did all those years ago, when he first asked for Eddie's kiss. Their mouths slot together, their bodies fit like they always used to, perfect puzzle pieces. Steve's knees give out at the first brush of Eddie's tongue, and they collapse into a heap on the kitchen floor. Even then, they don't part.
Eventually, Steve does break the embrace, face flushed and hair a disaster, glasses hanging off one ear. "Okay, trying to be responsible here. Should we take a pause, go on a date first? Slow down?"
"Nine years isn't slow enough?" Eddie's pupils are blown, hair frizzed around his head.
"When you put it that way," Steve can't help but laugh. "I just want to do right by you, Eddie. Make up for--everything."
Eddie grins down at him, that sunshine beam smile where his dimples pop. "Tell you what, how bout you take me to bed now, and I'll let you take me on a date tomorrow?"
"Oh, you'll let me?" Steve rakes a hand through Eddie's mane of hair. "I don't think you'll have any choice."
"You sure about that, Stevie?" Their lips are so close, the brush with every word.
"Uh-huh," Steve's having trouble keeping his eyes focused, overwhelmed by the sheer force of Eddie Munson. "Never letting you go again, Ed."
Surprise! Part 2! I genuinely had no intention on doing a follow-up, but so many of you asked so nicely that it gave me this idea. Anonymous Asks: "Here me out!
Elias possesing Taylor. It's like a treesome except the other is sharing a mind with the other so it could be less complicated about the blow job and who gets their dick in us."
Content: consensual possession, oral sex, penetrative sex
Tumblr media
Taylor is half nervous and half hard when you bring it up. On one hand, it takes a lot of trust to willingly give up partial control of his body to someone else. On the other hand, being possessed by a ghost is insanely hot...
Elias, however, is all for it! Provided Taylor is, of course. Taylor's comfort is of the utmost important to him. But he really does find great appeal in the idea of having a fully corporeal form once more, and sharing such an intimate experience with Taylor
Taylor does ask if it would be gay to let Elias possess him while he fucks you. Elias gently reminds him that they've kissed many a time and have been intimate with each other on more than one occasion. Taylor admits that that's already pretty gay
When you finally get around to it... well, half the foreplay is just watching Elias possess Taylor for the first time. It makes you want to get possessed next, with how much they both moan and whimper and how blissful Taylor's expression is
When they're finally situated, it takes a little bit for them to figure out who does what. Elias is mostly happy to sit back and let Taylor take control, only... Taylor gets sort of nervous when he's in control. So Elias ends up having to take over more than once
The first thing both of them want is to go down on you. It's one of the many things they have in common, they both love giving you head. And with both of them there... well, somehow it's even better. Elias knows what he's doing with Taylor's tongue, and Taylor makes the prettiest sounds of pleasure
When you go down on them, it's a different story. Elias is fully in charge of Taylor's body because it's the only way to stop him from squirming and bucking his hips and pulling your hair. Elias is much calmer about it, even though the sensation is much more intense when he's sharing it in a mortal body
And when they finally fuck you... It's perfect. Elias sets the rhythm of Taylor's hips, while Taylor focuses on kissing and marking up every inch of you. They fall into a great pattern, each controlling the things they're best at. Taylor's tongue is in your mouth while Elias drives his cock into you. Each gets a hand, one to grope you and the other to help tease you
Their voices finally synch up into one when Taylor cums inside of you. For Elias, it's the strongest orgasm he's ever had. And for Taylor... well, it's the strongest he's ever had too, if he's being honest. He's kinda sad and feels a bit empty when Elias finally leaves his body

But imagine established steddyhands. They've not been together long enough for it to be anything close to routine, but long enough that they know the lay of the land they're traversing.
Ed and Izzy have always been more to each other, though they'll both admit (Ed more willingly than Izzy, of course) that they've only come to understand it and voice it recently.
Ed and Stede, once they worked through their respective abandonment and abandoning issues, fell right back into an easy, passionate connection that has them both feeling young and reckless and alive.
Izzy and Stede, though, well-
That's a more difficult story. While Ed would argue that they both were more to each other from the beginning (Izzy rarely took an interest, positive or negative, in anyone outside of Ed and the crew and Stede was consummately polite to everyone save for Izzy and Ed always found it interesting), and Stede and Izzy disagree out of what Ed approximates is sheer stubbornness alone. They spent the first few months of Them, all together, saying they were there for Ed and comfortable sharing and Ed had to sit there and watch them throw furtive glances at each other, sometimes over Ed's actual fucking body, until they finally gave in and started reaching out for the other. Stopped trying to touch each other through Ed. Not that Ed minded the attention, though.
It took another month for them to kiss. Another three for them to be intimate without Ed.
But after that they started to fall into their own rhythms and Ed felt happiness on a scale he'd never imagined he could. He woke up tangled with his two favorite people and he got heaping loads of love and devotion thrown at him daily and fuck if it wasn't a dream come true. And now that Stede and Izzy were also realizing what they could be to each other, Ed's lucky enough to watch the two loves of his life fall a little in love with each other too.
Once they'd defined their whole, Thing, Izzy had become much more tactile with Ed. Openly seeking and providing cuddles, tucking Ed's hair behind an ear, and, implementing his morning ritual of dropping a kiss onto Ed's forehead before heading up on deck. Each morning, Izzy woke with the dawn, Ed following a short time later, and Stede resolutely refusing to wake up until he had no choice to. So when Izzy finished dressing he'd drop a kiss to Ed's forehead and that was the official start to the day. It had been that way for months and Ed came to look forward to it.
He also couldn't help to notice that he never did the same to Stede. Ed pushed it from his mind for the most part. A key strategy for loving the two most stubborn and downright bitchy men on the high seas was to know when to push and when to retreat. They seemed to be figuring it out, so Ed let it go. Well, maybe not let it go, but at least didn't bring it up.
Then there was a storm. Fun and loud and the type of thing Ed used to love. Now, he loves people and that's a far more dangerous game. Stede has learned to sail enough to be helpful, and as Co-Captain of the vessel resolutely refused to stay below deck. Ed was equal parts nervous and proud, but ultimately trusted Stede to know his limits. Izzy, though, seemed anxious and, Ed noticed, almost always had an eye turned toward Stede as the storm truly set in and the chaos started. As the rain and wind pelted against the hull and soaked the ship tip to stern, Izzy's laser focus turned to a look of horror and Ed almost missed it, focused as he was on the color draining from Izzy's face.
A strike of lightning illuminates the sky and there's a deafening crack and one of the lines breaks, looping the rope Stede is lashed too and sending both over the side of the ship.
Ed screams, but he barely hears it over the violence of the storm and his own pounding heart. He turns to Izzy to bark an order only to find Izzy stripping out of his vest and climbing over the side to grab Stede's rope and start hauling him up.
Ed sees Stede break the surface. He's still attached, thank something, but he's limp as Izzy, and a few of the crew, bring him back aboard and Ed's happy world starts to shatter around the edges. All he can think, desperately, is no.
Izzy's a flurry of movement as he tries to sit Stede up and get him to wake up, and Ed's crying so hard he can feel the tears even with the rain pouring down, and the crew is looking on, horrified, and Ed's about ready to fall to actual pieces when Stede's eyes open and he coughs up a worrisome amount of water. As soon as the worst of it passes, he looks over at Ed, smiles a little, then turns to Izzy and reaches a shaky hand up to his cheek before turning his head and coughing more water up onto the deck.
Ed remembers that he has arms, and legs, and a voice, and thirty years of experience sailing through storms, and gets the crew back to work getting them through this. Then he and Izzy get Stede back to their quarters, warm him up and put him in dry clothes before doing the same for each other and getting situated in bed. They'll address the damage, physical and emotional, tomorrow. Tonight is for rest and for Ed to cling to them both like a limpet.
He doesn't sleep a wink. Stede is out quickly, followed by Izzy, both exhausted he's sure, and Ed just stays up staring at Izzy, the fucking hero of the day and Stede, his love that he almost lost. He decides not to look away and if he sneakily checks a pulse here and there, or stokes blonde or salt and pepper locks occasionally, no one needs to know.
When Izzy wakes, early with the sun as always, he does something a little different. Before getting out of bed he kisses Ed twice, then takes a deep breath and brushes Stede's golden curls from his forehead. There's a complicated expression on his face, and it's raw and gorgeous but Ed doesn't want to ruin the moment so he keeps the thought to himself. Izzy drags his hand down Stede's cheek, gentle as can be, and leans forward to press a long, firm kiss right on his cheekbone.
Stede's eyes open but he says nothing. Just looks at Izzy for a long time before he turns his head and kisses Izzy's palm, soft and reverent. Izzy's eyes are bright when he pulls away, but he turns around quickly, resolute to begin the day, and Ed curls himself back around Stede knowing he won't be leaving his side today and basking in the overwhelming warmth of what he just saw.
Stede falls back to sleep quickly, especially with Ed's fingers running through his hair, but there's a soft smile on his face that Ed can't wait to see more of. He's also very interested for Izzy to see it and to know he put it there.
There's more love here, he thinks, than any of them thought possible and for once, he's very, very glad to have been wrong.

33 for the kisses prompts.
"Mike."
"Hmm?"
"Mike."
Mike glances up distractedly, the end of his pencil pressed to his lower lip. "Yeah?"
Will looks at him imploringly from where he's sprawled out at the end of his bed, flipping idly through comic books while Mike attempts to do homework. "Pay attention to me," he whines, wriggling closer and making puppy eyes at him.
Despite his best efforts - he really does need to get the this homework done - Mike's mouth ticks up into a small smile. Will is rarely so needy - it's always Mike clinging to him, wrapping arms around him and standing probably a little too close when they're around people, acting generally incriminating despite the secrecy of their relationship. But in moments like these, when they're alone in comfort of Will's room and it's safe to be them, together, Will lets himself be a little bit more overbearing, a little more like the overly sappy, affectionate boyfriend Mike knows he'd be all the time if the world was just a little bit better.
Which is why Mike doesn't deny him when it happens. He grins, setting his homework aside and holding out an arm, which Will eagerly grabs hold of as he immediately scoots closer and climbs halfway on top of Mike.
Their noses bump, and Mike's arms come to settle around Will's waist, hugging him close. He hadn't thought of casual touch as being something terribly groundbreaking, before he started dating Will - it had been relatively normal for them anyway, but he hadn't factored in how much he would miss it, when they're around other people. How much he overthinks it, now, whenever he gets the urge to sling an arm around Will's shoulders or link their pinky fingers together or sit beside him on movie nights, close enough that their sides get all pressed up against each other in one fluid line. He hates having to second-guess whether it's abnormal to behave that way with an alleged friend, especially considering he and Will had never acted like normal friends to begin with. They've always been a little different. A little more.
"Hi," Will murmurs now, reaching up to drag a finger along Mike's jaw and smiling sweetly at him. He's beautiful, like this, sprawled across Mike with the spring sunlight filtering through the window and hitting his face at all the right angles.
Mike's a little bit in love with Will, as it turns out. "Hi," he murmurs, and he can feel Will's smile against his lips when he leans in to kiss him.
It's a sweet kiss, lazy and lingering and with nowhere near the same amount of frantic, nervous energy their first few kisses had held, in those hazy weeks where death seemed to be lurking around every corner and every conversation they had, every kiss exchanged, had the potential to be the last. Following that were the messy, complicated few months after the gates were closed and Vecna was gone and everyone was trying to figure out how to continue being alive, when for so long it had seemed that they wouldn't get another opportunity. That's when the two of them had to face the fact that they were still alive, and likely would be for a long while, and that meant figuring out what on earth was going on between them and, consequently, face the fact that, now that the population of Hawkins was no longer worried about being sucked into Hell's fiery gates, they now had more time and cause to ask questions about certain boys wanting to kiss other boys.
It's gotten better, since then, now that they've found a sort of rhythm and routine, though Mike still doesn't get to kiss Will nearly as much as he'd like to.
Will must be thinking something similar, if the soft sigh he releases into Mike's mouth is any indication, and Mike relaxes into him, pulling him closer by the shirt. He can do his homework later, he decides as Will presses him further back into the pillows, and sets down his pencil, still clutched in one hand, in favor of shoving both hands into Will's hair.
"Love you," Will murmurs into Mike's mouth, because he makes a point to say it every chance he gets, what with the limited amount of alone time they get. Mike's about to say it back, the words about the only coherent thought left in his brain at this point, when, from the other end of the house, there's the unmistakable sound of a key in the lock.
Will must hear it at the same time that Mike does, both of them conditioned to hide at the first sign of danger, because he pulls back, wide-eyed, and they both fall dead silent as they listen for more telltale sounds.
There's a creak of hinges, and then the clattering of keys hitting the dining room table, and Will's breath quickens, hot against Mike's face. "No one was supposed to be home," he whispers, still close enough that his lips brush Mike's when he talks. He should probably be moving away, right about now, creating a respectable amount of distance between them, but Mike's critical thinking tends to get a little addled when Will is this close to him, and he can only assume the same is true for Will.
"Maybe someone's breaking in," Mike whispers back, as footsteps thud through the house, distant but audible, and Will gives him a look.
"How is that better," he hisses, which hadn't really been what Mike was implying. He's about to say so when the footsteps suddenly grow louder, and Will's yelping and rolling off him, knocking him off balance in the process, and Mike goes tumbling to the floor beside Will's bed, hidden from the doorway just in time for the door to swing open.
"Will?" comes Hopper's voice, as Mike hurriedly wriggles into the back corner by Will's bedside table and tries to quiet his breathing.
"Hey, Hop," Will says, in a breathless sort of voice that makes Mike cringe, a little. It's a miracle they've pulled this secrecy thing off for so long. They're both terrible actors. "Home early?"
Mike can just make out Hopper's legs shifting further into the room, and he ducks his head lower just on the off chance Hopper can see him from across the room. "Yeah, your mom should be home in an hour or so. Everything okay?"
"Yeah, 'course," Will chirps like the liar he is, and Mike stifles a laugh as Hopper wanders out of the room. The second he's out of earshot, Will jumps up, swinging the door closed and locking it before appearing over Mike, face hanging over the edge of the bed.
Mike stares up at him, one eyebrow quirked and mouth twisted into a smirk. "You know I'm allowed to be here, right? You didn't have to hide my existence."
"I didn't do it on purpose!" Will yelps, and then immediately throws a glance in the direction of the door, afraid Hopper might have heard. "I- are you okay?"
Mike reaches up and grabs hold of Will's wrist, tugging him in closer, and Will slides easily off the bed to join him in the darkened corner. "I'm fine," he says, smirking as Will wriggles into the small space between the bed and the wall beside him. "Except now I'm gonna have to sneak out the window when I leave, because no one knows I'm here-"
"Okay, okay," Will says, leaning over and pressing a quick kiss to Mike's lips, effectively shutting him up. "I get it, I'm a shitty liar, whatever."
Mike grins all teeth. "Good kisser, though."
"Idiot," Will replies, but is pliant under Mike's hands as he draws him in for another kiss, a proper one this time. It's a little bit cramped, shoved into the small corner of the room, but Mike can't find it in himself to mind, not when the smallness of the space forces them into such delicious proximity like this, pressed up against each other and leaned back against the wall.
Outside the door, the floorboards creak, and they both freeze as Hopper's footsteps thud down the hallway, slowly fading into the recesses of the house.
"He's not gonna come in here again," Will murmurs, one arm still slung over Mike's neck as he watches the door warily, "Probably."
"It's locked," Mike points out in a low voice, which is probably more incriminating than any of the other things, but is worth it for the reaction time it will give them when inevitably someone else comes knocking.
Will nods, smiling as he refocuses on Mike, leaning in to press a gentle kiss to his lips. "We're safe," he agrees quietly, as Mike smiles and squeezes his arms gently.
I'm always safe, with you, Mike thinks, and Will catches him in a kiss.

I’m 😭 know I get the snake joke when they asked Apo about kissing Mile lmao (this whole thread) idk what todo with this info
https://twitter.com/jsaturfiles/status/1563481374228508679?s=21&t=AMC2YXZLS7DPz3QwKzzMaw
Nonnnyyy!! Thank you for giving me the chance to talk about something I've wanted to talk about for a while, which is how good MA's acted kisses are. And it's good acting too! But first,
I spent a bit of time trying to figure out who the person being translated was (apo_mytype), and it looks like they're just a fan. But their comments resonated so much with people the twitter translator (jsaturfiles) got asked to translate/share. I'll post it here so people don't have to go to the tweet:
ive seen #MileApo in kissing scene workshops since the filmania era, their kisses are so real. apo said before that p mile wasn’t yet good at controlling himself. so every time they kissed he wouldn’t stop until apo nearly fell on his back. but apo couldn’t even fall because p mile was gripping his arm.
back then p mile’s body was very thick (he’s still thicker than apo today) one of his arms could wrap around apo’s entire body like a snake wrapping around it’s prey. from kissing in filmania to kissing in boc. by the time kpts ended #MileApo probably kissed 100s of times. let me ask for real, have you guys ever felt anything for each other at all? even some little thing?
some couples have been together for their whole lives and don’t kiss as often as #MileApo (reffering to them in the series)
Now let us take a very necessary break to watch some Filmania era kissing

For anyone (no one) wondering "Kyuu, how the fuck do you know so many things about everything" the answer is 1) I don't know shit, 2) I have ADHD, and 3) I spend a lot of time just learning things about I find interesting. Like watching a lot of videos like the above.
The coach basically breaks down a list of things she's looking for in good/bad scenes, including 1. prelude (setup), 2. breath (pause before the kiss -- it's a moment of dramatic tension to set up the audience), 3. rhythm of the kiss, 4. dialogue/chemistry/moment/surrender (checking in with each other).
And she specifically compliments Jonathan Rhys Meyers' ability to create a private moment (13:39) of intimacy in a crowded place to establish the context for the kiss. So there is actual acting technique in how technically good on-screen kisses are, and also specifically how good Mile and Apo make KP's kisses.
I adore all of KP's kisses, but I specifically want to talk about how good their first kiss in episode 3 is.
The thing is, it's obviously not the first time MileApo have kissed, and certainly not even the first time they've kissed as Kinn and Porsche, but they have to sell to the audience the authenticity of it being their first kiss in the context of the events of the show -- the hesitancy, the heart in your throat jolt of tension, the tenderness and chasteness and longing and release of the first kiss.
Tumblr media
(cr smittenskitten for the gifs! here's another edit of this extended...tumblr glitched on let me add more pictures?)
And you know it's good acting because they can recreate this exact same tension, breath, longing, and relief of tension live in one take
tumblr_video
(video link for those suffering mobile like me)
It's so good in that the setup is both anticipatory and surprising at the same. Watch both happen...This youtuber's mom was even able to count down to their kiss.
Perth (Ken) has talked on his channel about how shows are filmed non-sequentially and it's up to the actors to know their characters well enough to know what's going on with them in that scene. Since the first kiss on the pier was physically in the same place as where they ended their first date in episode 8, they likely shot those on the same day or very close together. So MA had to know their characters' hearts very well. And their trust in each other, in taking each other's small cues, is what builds in the authenticity of watching Kinn and Porsche falling in love.
So yes, all the practice helped, but their kisses really do feel special. Mile and Apo constantly sell to us how special it is.
And that's what we call acting, baby. 😩💦
Let's just say it's probably good Mile had a whole year to get all of that hunger out of his system first because KPTS Episode 3 Kinn was way more respectful than Mile was haha.
(if you keep asking sending me anons, I will eventually run out of interesting things to talk about!!! 😅)

I present something completely self indulgent: So horses are associated with Poseidon, yeah? Greek God of the ocean (I say oceans because there's another god for rivers, Achelous, and then there's Oceanus, who's more the physical representation of the sea...).
Anyway, the idea here is that Rain, as a water ghoul, is really good at working with/handling horses, and the church decides to go to, like, some big meet up with all the church leaders etc, so the ghouls are at this, like, ranch completely bored out of their minds.
And Rain is like, "How much would I have to pay to ride one of these horses?"
And, of course, Dew is curious, too, because, well, he also has a sort of affinity for the animals, but he's not as good at reading them as Rain.
So Dew spends a looooong time watching Rain hang out with, maybe flirt with, the handlers/riders because he wants to get a chance to go riding before their trip ends.
And Dew is totatlly not getting jealous (he is, but it's mostly because he wants to spend time with Rain, too).
Well, Rain finally gets his chance, and the first person he asks to come along with him?
Dew.
So they have this really nice afternoon til' sunset ride together, and it's probably the most traditionally romantic/cheesy date they've ever gone on, and Dew feels like he should be embarrassed or think it's lame... but he absolutely loves it.
Everyone else wonders where they went, and what they did all day, because both of them are walking funny (Having ridden a horse before, it takes a damn toll on your thighs).
Anyway, something, something, Dew rides Rain later.
PLEASE.
The rest of the pack teases them good-naturedly. And Dew and Rain just let it go, laughing along with them. Because they know the truth about what happened. About the day they spent together that they will both be thinking about for years to come. They're trying to figure out how it's possible that they have come out of this experience more in love with each other. And yeah. Dew rides Rain later. It's a slow grind. Taking Rain as deep as he can and rolling his hips. His thighs are killing him too much for any vigorous bouncing. But first, Dew sucks a series of marks along Rain's collarbones, down his sternum. He digs his teeth into his hipbones just to hear Rain gasp.
And when Dew finally does sink down onto Rain, Rain's the one who controls the rhythm. His hands on Dew's boney hips. Dragging him back and forth, hitting spots that make Dew whine. It's a slow, indulgent thing. Drawn out until it's almost unbearable. A little like they're afternoon of horseback riding. Just them, enjoying the rhythm of each other. Dew can barely walk the next day.

Your oc pairings doing the tiktok couples paint each other trend? (It's what it sounds like, couples paint each other and film it to show their reactions) (unfortunately I've seen a lot of sad cishet ones where the guy paints his gf or wife really badly, like intentionally, where the gf/wife looks like a monster so I need some actual nice ones to feel better and thought I'd ask about your ocs)
Awww that sounds so cute! (though it really sucks about the sad cishet ones, I don't know why you'd want to paint your partner badly on purpose, that's just mean and awful :( )
I'm just gonna answer this for the couples you know I think, just for simplicity's sake
Rae: Isn't that much of an artist, but she'd do her best. It's not fantastic quality but it's really clear that she tried to get all the details (especially in his eyes because she loves his eyes). I think she'd either just stick to drawing a bust of him just to make sure it's manageable, or would try something ambitious like him with his wings wrapped around her. Warren: Refined upbringing... I'm sure he's taken some art classes, not to mention his mom liked to paint, so he knows how to paint. He hasn't done it in years so it's a bit of a slow start, but once he finds his rhythm he actually makes something really beautiful. It has Rae crying a little when he shows it to her (but happy tears of course)
Robin: She's more of a music person than a 2D art person, so her solution is to paint a bunch of wiggly stripes in shades of blue and silver and say "it's you at superspeed" - kinda cheating, but it makes Peter laugh. Peter: Tries his best... that's about all he can say. He tried to paint her singing onstage for Carmen since that's how they met, but it's a little lopsided and goofy since he's not the best painter. It's not intentionally bad, he's just not an art guy, so he and Robin just laugh together when he shows her.
Madison: Would probably opt to sketch him rather than painting him (she's better at sketching, it was one of her hobbies to pass the time out in the woods), and would actually draw a really accurate sketch of Alex. He's very impressed (and it makes him a little embarrassed about his own drawing, honestly) Alex: Isn't a great artist, so he kinda just stuck to the key details - plus, as we both know, she's kinda hard to draw. Madison thinks it's sweet no matter how it turns out though, he could have drawn a stick figure and she'd still think it was sweet that he tried.
Jasper: Tries to draw the time the two of them kissed across the railing at Jasper's derby bout... Kyle: Ends up, by total coincidence, drawing the same exact moment, since it's also his favorite kiss that they've had. Jasper's is more cartoony and Kyle's is stuck in that vague zone of "past the anime character stage but not quite the right proportions yet" but they were both so surprised to flip it and reveal the exact same moment that neither of them are really paying attention to the quality of the paintings.
Prometheus and Corinthian: I feel like as dreams they'd probably have some kind of like... photographic art thing? I mean, they are themselves artistic creations, in a way, and they're not exactly human.... I guess what I'm saying is they'd both make realistic paintings of the other, and though they'd both find it sweet they also wouldn't quite understand the point of it... it's more of a human trend, I think.
Indie: Also opts to draw him rather than paint him (maybe with pastels or colored pencils, and she'd play with a fun color scheme), since she already enjoys drawing. It comes out really clean and accurate, and Hux is both impressed and maybe a little overwhelmed because I can't imagine anyone's paid enough attention to draw him before he met Indie. Hux: I also feel like he knows how to sketch a bit (admittedly this is a headcanon I latched onto from a fic I read, but still), though he's probably rusty since he hasn't drawn since he was a teenager. Indie kinda tries to brush it aside when he shows her, saying he's biased and she definitely doesn't look as nice as what he drew, but he insists that it's how he sees her. I mean, we already knew he's completely smitten for her.

actually you know what would be so funny. Evan Eli 20. something something you (evan and eli) got jumped & you heard them say "take their asses to the polycule"
"i can't believe you're trying to convince me that venom 2 is a romantic classic," evan says, staring intently at the laptop screen as a giant church bell lands on top of one of the antagonists. "he just murdered his wife."
eli shifts the laptop a little on the bed as they huff—the fans get louder, for a moment, and then much quieter than before. evan hums in appreciation. "that's because they're meant to foil eddie and venom, obviously," they argue, "and you know what i'm talking about. you saw the rave scene. the classic, dramatic spurned lover, realising that he doesn't need his boyfriend but he still kind of wants his boyfriend... and it's really gay."
"it is pretty gay," evan concedes. "but doesn't venom, like, literally need eddie? because they're pacific rim style soulmates and he literally kills anyone else he symbiotes with?"
"i mean- yeah, but. c'mon." eli turns their attention from the laptop to him, mock-frown betrayed by the way their mouth twitches at the corners. "play in the romance space with me here, evan. they're got great chemistry. their neighbors probably wish they would being so loud during their weird—"
"lover's quarrels," evan interrupts dryly, and eli laughs so loud he can feel the feathers of their wing ruffle against his back, a strange weighted blanket he had almost forgotten was there.
"i was going to say weird gay sex, but that too."
"kind of rude to assume their sex is weird, don't you think?"
"you're telling me you think fucking the alien ooze is a vanilla affair?"
"you tell me." the retort is reflexive, and he only realises the double meaning of it for eli when they go bright red, staring at him incredulously. "i- you know i didn't mean it like that-"
they laugh, loud and wheezy, and put their head into their hands, the finale of the movie long forgotten. "oh my god. wouldn't you like to know, evan?"
"i would love to go my whole life not knowing, actually, and don't make me think about it!"
eli's laughter subsides into breathless little snickers, and evan rolls his eyes, settling back down and trying to figure out what he's missed on the screen. they lean over and whisper a synopsis as it goes, and he idly wonders just how many times they've seen it - but it's helpful, so. he brushes that aside.
when the credits roll, they close the laptop, easily putting it on the nightstand without moving an inch. evan doesn't move either, though he feels almost awkward about it, tapping out rhythms on the covers in front of him. they turn back to him and don't seem to question it, yawning as they stretch out and settle into a more languid position. "are you staying over tonight?"
"i think your wing, uh- might've decided that for me." eli glances at it, their expression turning sheepish. evan shrugs. "i'd- like to, though. if the offer's open. i just need to change."
"no sleep jeans?"
"not tonight, anyway."
eli's face scrunches, and he grins. they lift their wing to let him wiggle out, but not before leaning over and giving him a little kiss on the head. evan blinks.
"i'm- are we doing goodnight kisses now, too?"
"if you want," eli says, faux-casual though their cheeks are visibly pink, clearly embarassed. "sorry, uh- that was probably-"
"it's fine," evan decides quickly, leaning up to give them a kiss on the cheek back. he also feels- well. a little embarassed about it. but now they're both embarassed about it together, and none of the others are there to fondly poke fun at them about it, so the two look at each other before grinning and glancing away. "i'm gonna go get changed."
"don't die," they say, morbidly affectionate, and evan waves his hand at them as he rolls off the bed and ambles off to get his sweatpants.

Ahh in one of your earlier tags about Mile Apos chemistry, you said 'there's things I want to say, but I'll keep them to myself' Seing as we'll miss the boys very soon, can you plse share your thoughts with us? 🥺
Whatever do you mean, anon?  🤣
I'm not saying I know anything about anything. I don't want anyone to say I'm feeding into the agenda of anything these days, because I'm a semi-normal adult and I understand boundaries, yes?
Now. I think whatever relationship these two have outside of this show is hella deep. I'm not putting any sort of title to what type of relationship they have; I'm just saying it's fairly deep. Their connection is deep. I don't think people realize how much trust and comfort you have to have with another individual to pull off the shit these two have pulled off in their scenes together. I've said this so many times and I stand by it - you can have two actors who are conventionally attractive but that still won't guarantee high heat and scorching chemistry between the two of them. It just won't. Talent and skill can only do so much if two actors just aren't comfortable doing what they need to do with each other. The level of trust these two have for each other to be able to just go for these scenes and deliver these scenes in a way where it seems so real is amazing.
I have never seen anything like it before. They play off each other really well and their acting sense is so finely tuned where every acting choice they make actually works. Acting is sort of like a conversation, right? When you meet certain people, the conversation just flows and there's not a single bout of awkward silence even though you just met each other. It feels like you've known them forever. With other people, the conversation can feel stilted, forced, and straight up uncomfortable because of how difficult it is for you and this other person to find the natural rhythm where the conversation flows.
Well, I believe MA has the former. Not every acting duo will give you the former scenario. In certain sex scenes, a lot of duos will give you the latter where they don't even seem to be on the same page let alone the same book. It's like they're fighting each other because they can't seem to agree on how they're going to do this scene, but on a subconscious, unspoken, nonverbal level. Actor A may want to slip Actor B tongue but Actor B refuses to open their mouth. Actor B may want to sensually caress Actor A's body while Actor A wants to play this scene in a more rough sex kind of way. Actor A may want to play up the physicality of the scene by ensuring every piece of their skin is pressed up against their acting partner's skin whereas Actor B may not want that at all and refuses to go along with it.
Essentially, some acting duos are figuratively fighting each other when they act out these scenes. They don't seem to be in agreement on what they're going to do and how they're going to play it. So, it often feels like they're in a stilted, painfully awkward conversation where they haven't found their rhythm with each other. Whereas MileApo seem like they've had multiple conversations about it and they've been open and honest enough with each other where they've agreed on what they're comfortable with and what they're not comfortable with. It seems like they've talked about what their character will and won't do, but they're okay with whatever the other one needs to do to convey whatever emotion/feeling their character is trying to convey. They're not fighting each other once the scene is being carried out on our screens.
If more acting duos were able to do that, we'd be better off as an audience. Unfortunately, I don't think you can teach this in an acting workshop. That's just something some actors will naturally have and others won't. However, if more actors had it, we wouldn't have so many damn cringeworthy sex/'love' scenes. There is a certain level of openness between MileApo that's fairly obvious and I think that's what some people fail to acknowledge and celebrate. Doing what they do, there has to be some openness between them if they're going to sell that their characters are in love. That's the whole point - getting the audience to believe and buy into this love story. Otherwise, what's the point?
(Also, I just want to drive home the point that this just doesn't apply to their sex scenes either. This applies to all of their scenes. )

tiny jemily prompt?
them getting ready for work together - like brushing teeth making breakfast n such
:)
It takes them a while to find a rhythm. At first, JJ tries to drag Emily out of bed at dawn for a run, which only makes Emily cranky. Then, Emily spends too long making breakfast, and JJ has to leave for work hungry. They're differently people on different schedules, but eventually they figure it out.
JJ always wakes up first for her morning jog. She drives out to Rock Creek Park and meets Morgan for a quick five mile jog (it's longer on weekends). Then, she heads home.
By the time she gets there, Emily has started a pot of coffee before dragging herself into the shower. She's halfway done when JJ joins her. Depending on their mood, they fool around a little or just focus on getting clean. Either way, they're done quickly and move to their separate sinks.
Emily's sink is messy. It's a disaster zone of make-up, skin products, and hair oils. Still, it's her area, so she knows how to navigate it.
As Emily works through her extensive routine, JJ brushes her hair at her own sink. She has an organizer for her make-up, and one for her tools. She blow drys her hair, twists it into a braid, and puts on her face.
Somehow, Emily finishes first. She moves, naked, into the bedroom to pick out her clothes and put them on. Usually, she wears her favorite bra, belt, and watch, with only her outer layers changing. Today, she chooses her grey suit and a dark blue shirt.
JJ always brings her underwear into the bathroom, so she walks past Emily (giving her a quick kiss) and goes to the kitchen, still only half-dressed. She makes them both cups of coffee before turning her attention to breakfast.
Emily always has a bagel (toasted) with cream cheese (and butter), along with a banana. JJ eats a mason jar of overnight oats that she hastily prepares before bed, and a banana, as well. As she's eating breakfast, Emily emerges from the bedroom, fully dressed, and takes her mug from JJ's out-stretched hand.
They barely talk in the mornings, choosing instead to stay in the warm cocoon of a quiet, peaceful home. By now, they move around each other easily. They've figured out how to be in love, and their love suits them perfectly.
Once they've eaten, JJ dresses. She's started wearing pantsuits, like Emily, but she enjoys a bit more color. So, she chooses a deep, midnight purple suit with a soft cream blouse. If it happens to be one of Emily's favorites, then that's just the cherry on top.
Emily, for her part, washes dishes. She's careful to stay clean. Finishing, she takes the lotion she keeps in the kitchen and moisturizes. It was JJ's idea, after Emily's hands started chapping one winter. The lotion smells like peaches.
Now, they're dressed and fed and ready to leave. They double check their bags (leather briefcases and duffels) and head out the door. JJ opens the driver's side door for Emily, who slides in and thanks her wife with a smile. She'll get them to Quantico while JJ starts answering emails on her phone.
They work well together.

[parasocial bestie] you still did progress anyhow and das really really good!!! focus on ur trip the attention might mess up da writing vibe and thought process tho i trust 10000000% on ur gigantic shiny brain what you do on ur writing <333333
ALSO WHAT BREAKUP THERES A??? NO YOU DID NOT TALK ABOUT IT HERE JUST ZHONGVEN RECENTLY 😭😭😭😭 pls elaborate please dump it all on me i am sitting i am preparing the Tea i am Sipping for the oncoming angst silly whatever i am expecting and the piping hot tea stays no matter what reaction LETS GOOOO 🍵🔥
SCREAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM OMG THANK GOSH I DIDNT TALK ABOUT IT OKAY OKAY SO.
im so excited omgggggg also good morning !!!!!!! :DDD <33333
okay SO. this is actually basically just an idea i initially had for a Different piece of media taken and recycled.
xiaolumi. modern au. lumine and aether move to xiao's town and start at his school when they're like 13 or 14.
aether befriends half of their year in half the day. lumine is quieter, sticks closer to those who are the same. scara, xiao <- im absolutely not biased in any way. aether is chatty but quiet once you get to know him, lumine is quiet but chatty once you get to know her.
she and xiao share loads of classes and work well together and very much want to be closer to each other but dont exactly know how, there's this sort of tension there that neither of them can figure out to save their lives. they're still very close, just. definitely not as much as they could be. and they endure CONSTANT teasing through their school years from friends and family alike about them liking each other/having crushes on each other/"so when's the wedding?" type stuff. people will try to get them together and they just kind of awkwardly laugh it off and dont really know what to do about it. they don't like each other like that. do they?
its never been a question of whether or not they love each other. never. of course they do. but in college they make new friends, and those new friends not ONLY assume they're together from the very start but also jump right in on the teasing after learning that they're not and they finally think okay. fuck it. lets just try dating.
it lasts... a week? two weeks? three? they've never, ever felt further apart from one another. it's strange and weird and they do not like it, even with all the congratulating and claps on the back and celebration that its "finally" happened.
they break up. they make it very clear to all of their friends that they've broken up. and they're scared !! they're scared. they've been each other's closest friend for years now. what they had worked so well for both of them and now they feel theyve ruined it and they're so scared that it's gone for good.
but the breakup is a huge weight off their shoulders. there's a little bit of distance until one day lumine makes a joke about it and suddenly they fall back into rhythm like nothing ever happened. more jokes about the breakup and about each other being shitty partners are integrated right into their vocubulary, and suddenly, somehow, they're closer than ever before. that tension that'd always been between them seems to vanish, they become so COMFORTABLE with each other in a way they weren't quite able to achieve beforehand
venti is probably a pretty big part of it. i am so ready to shove the aroace agenda onto everyone. they meet him in college and he's friendly and carefree and kind and he befriends them both pretty easily, is one of the few who never teases. he does ask, after the fact, about the breakup and how it felt-- but hes respectful and he doesnt come at it from a romantic standpoint and he helps one of them (i havent really decided but Probably xiao) work through a lot of those feelings and what they mean.
lumine and aether end up having a pretty serious conversation about it. lumine has always, always known that she loves xiao, that she's in love with xiao. that hasn't changed. its just... not that kind of love. aether listens. he helps her to better understand, and he starts to understand, too.
"lumine. all that matters to me is that youre happy. are you happy?" and she is. she really, really is.
lumine and xiao do talk about it eventually, too. lumine asks xiao if he loves her. not because she wants or expects to hear a yes, just because she wants to know. wants to understand his feelings, too. and he describes it-- the depth of his care, how important she is to him, describes exactly how he feels and does not once use the word love to do so. he doesnt really know if its love. he doesnt know if any of it is. and lumine tells him that that's okay. that it doesnt have to be love. they're on the same page, they understand, that's what matters.
the Biggest Focus if i were to write it would be that huge comfort and the weight off their shoulders afterwards. the characters i first had this thought for were slightly younger teenagers, one with a huge crush on the other thats so intense they barely manage to befriend them out of shyness, and the thought was that they'd finally date, it would suck, theyd break up, and suddenly without all the perceived romantic feelings in the way there'd be nothing stopping them from being besties. i do think it works a little better with that and in theory i could change this around so that xiao and lumine meet later on and both have ""crushes"" on each other and dont know each other super well before getting together? i actually do kind of like that thought now. fawk. erm. ill Probably end up doing that if i ever do this :sob:
BUT ANYWAYS yeah that's the whole idea/premise smile. breakup fic my <3333333

Omg thank you for the ask and the opportunity to rant about my all time favorite daydream fic!
I have been daydreaming about this one forever, it's gone through so many iterations and morphed so much since the first time the idea "omg but what if Willow and Tara had a gay little farm" popped into my head, but it still is The Gay Little Farm fic in my mind until I hopefully come up with a better title lol.
The Gay Little Farm is a gothic horror-y story set in a canon-divergent AU where Willow doesn't go back to Sunnydale after season 6. The fic itself is set several years down the line, after Sunnydale has been destroyed, when-- after spending some time learning more about herself through traveling, living with various covens, going to community college in San Francisco, and eventually getting a degree in computer science and working for a robotics lab-- Willow has recently bought a small farm in New England (I was missing Massachusetts when the idea was first conceived, don't judge lmao. Plus you can't really beat the ambient horror vibes of rural New England).
By the time the fic starts, Giles is the only one of the group that still talks to her. Buffy and Xander were pretty pissed about her decision to not come back, but Giles supported it ultimately because he felt all her emotions in Grave, so he understands the depths of her anguish and understands that she really doesn't know herself anymore, and supports her trying to figure out who she is on her own terms. (Also, he supports her because I asked the very essential question: "what if the btvs writers had decided to leverage how similar Willow's trajectory is to Giles's backstory even the teeniest tiniest bit?" lmao).
Throughout this time, they've emailed each other extensively, like nearly every day, but when Willow's emails start to become less and less frequent after buying the farm, Giles doesn't really think much of it; he knows she's busy trying to get everything set up to be an operational growing season, and that she doesn't have an internet connection at her new house yet so she has to go into town to email him.
It's explicable, so he doesn't worry about it until one day he gets several increasingly bizarre, almost unintelligible, concerning emails in very quick succession.
(lol I'm gonna put a read more because this got long lol. But if anyone else wants to send me one of these ask games : Put “📓” or some other version of a book emoji into my inbox and I’ll explain the plot of a fanfiction that I haven’t written but daydream about.)
She doesn't reply to any of his emails, doesn't answer the phone so he gets on the first flight across the Atlantic to go check on her (it's partly panic, but partly because he's not really pleased with where his life is at the moment anyway, but I won't get into that, this is already getting too long lol, just let it suffice to say he's glad for the excuse to just pack off to somewhere else suddenly). But when Giles gets there, Willow seems perfectly fine. She says she doesn't even have any clue what he's talking about when he tries to bring up the emails, and he figures she must just be embarrassed or something and not want to talk about it, so he drops it.
He decides to stay at the farm for a bit to keep an eye on her and make sure she's okay, but the longer he's there, the more and more weird things start happening. Even as he falls into the rhythms of life on her little farm and gets comfortable there, he can't shake the feeling that something is very wrong. He's having bizarre dreams that are becoming increasingly prophetic, even though there's absolutely no way he should be having prophetic dreams. He starts remembering things-- or at least they feel like memories, but they're certainly not things that ever happened to him. One night, he catches Willow in the middle of what looks like a blood magic ritual, but when he stops her, it's like she wakes up from sleepwalking and has absolutely no recollection of what happened. He's suspicious of Willow and what she might be doing, but also increasingly convinced the house is working some kind of dark magic on them both, so he sets out to research the place. But the nearby town clerk's office, the town's historical society, everywhere he can think to check has absolutely no record of this house existing.
Anyway, I won't spoil what is actually going on with the house because I am for real going to write this (I sort of started a while ago, but as I watched more of the show, my plot and ideas changed SO much). But really, at its core, everything that's going on with the house is about processing their grief, about building a life, about them repairing their relationships, and about the two of them having to come together to do all that by working together to figure out what's going on (although, Willow already suspects what's going on long before Giles even arrives, she just doesn't want to accept it...). The whole story is just like, what if Willow and Giles reconnected in adulthood and finally worked through some of their immense baggage about each other but also just their baggage in general? :) And also there was a farm. :)
#myfic#thank you so much for sending this i had so much fun answering!! love to share my stories about my little guys#once i finish the current big fic im working on#this is the next one i want to write so. keep an eye out.#literally i was actually so so close to entirely abandoning the idea about willow having a farm.#bc originally it was a willow and tara have a farm together and then giles comes to stay on the gay little farm with them :)#i literally probably thought of that watching s4 and then i remembered that tara was going to die and i was like :) idc :) farm :)#but I think the further i got the more like... idk it just didnt really feel genuine to the spirit of the farm and what i wanted to tell#for her to just be inexplicably alive? it just wasnt the story i wanted to tell#so then i was like okay :) Tara's spirit is on the farm :) and then Giles and Willow bring her back to life :)#and then I watched s6 and was like WOW. So apparently !! being resurrected !! fucking SUCKS!!!!!!!#and like. i couldn't do that to my girl I just COULDNT!!#and then i was thinking about it more the timeline made no sense it was like why is willow on this farm why is she on the farm alone#and by this point i had like. a considerable amount of Giles coming to visit her on the farm written lmao#but even tho i was like these are all good scenes and good writing like WHAT is the context WHAT is going on#and apparently backpacking is the best time to have fic ideas ever#bc i remember the exact moment where it came to me like a fucking epiphany just. oh. its canon divergent. its an s7 au.#i was out in the hammock watching the moon and scrambled back into the tent to get my notebook (almost woke my friend up in the process)#and was like frantically scribbling down how it all finally came together by moonlight in the hammock#so im glad i didn't abandon the idea and let it keep puttering around until the hammock worked its magic#I’ll also add. there’s an accompanying playlist. that I play while I daydream about it lmao.

Heyo! Can you do a story of the kids (Leo, Emma, Cass, Haoyu and Yuri) hanging out with each other?
I definitely can!
"Hey, Leo," Haoyu called to the blonde haired boy that was in the park. Standing next to Haoyu was Cass who, like usual, was holding her kitten. "Cass and I figured that we could watch you dance! We heard that you're one of the best dancers around here!"
"Sure," Leo said. "I wouldn't mind if you guys watched. Say, have you two seen Emma around? She said that she was coming by to also see me dance."
"Hey, sorry if I'm late," Emma said as she arrived into the park with Yuri next to her. "I met up with Yuri who wanted to come along with."
"It's alright, Emma," Cass said with a smile. "Now that we're all here, we can watch Leo show off his best dance moves."
"Okay, here goes nothing," Leo said as he walked over to the boombox and switched it on. Rock music began to play as Leo began to dance. Yuri, Haoyu, Emma, and Cass watched in awe. Leo moved gracefully to the rhythm, dancing along with the flow. The background dancers joined Leo in dancing.
Then, as the music kept on playing, Leo and the background dancers performed one of the acrobatic moves. Leo spun gracefully and did a backflip. He landed onto his right hand, spinning some more before he landed right back onto his feet. The background dancers made multiple backflips to the beat.
"I never knew that Leo was so talented," Yuri said with a smile. "He has such good dancing skills."
"I agree with you, Yuri," Haoyu said with a grin. "Leo can definitely dance."
"I wonder how long Leo's been dancing for," Emma said. "He must have danced for quite some time in order to get this good."
The music ended and Leo and the background dancers did their poses. Emma, Yuri, Cass, and Haoyu applauded for the performance.
"Wow, that was amazing, Leo," Cass said. "I loved every bit of it."
"So did I," Yuri said. "You're an awesome dancer."
"Gee, thanks," Leo said, scratching the back of his head. "I'm happy that you four love my performance."
"Say, why don't we all get something to drink?" Haoyu suggested. "There's a small store nearby. That, and I'm a bit thirsty."
"I could go for something to drink," Leo said. "Dancing really does make me thirsty. Lead the way, Haoyu."
Haoyu nodded and led the others to the store. Everyone grabbed a drink and after paying for it, decided to go for a walk. They all catched up on what they've been doing after leaving the theater. Haoyu had been flying for quite some time. On occasion, he would see Fiona out in the middle of the ocean.
Yuri still looked out for the bugs. Recently, her class had brought in ladybugs. And Yuri had no problem taking care of them. In fact, some of her classmates even offered to help Yuri care for them. Not that Yuri minded, of course.
As for Cass? She looked out for her kitten whom she named Daisy. Cass would always carry Daisy with her wherever she went with the exception of school. Not that Daisy minded being held. The grey and white kitten would purr up a storm.
"I can't believe that so much happened since we left," Emma said. "Though, I do wonder how the others are doing."
"I know that Fiona's doing just fine," Haoyu said. "She's swimming with the dolphins again."
"Why don't we go check up on the others to see how they're doing?" Yuri asked.
"Sounds good to me," Leo said. "Let's get going, then."
And the four of them went, ready to reunite with their friends from Wonderworld.

[HAIKYUU!!] Season 2 episode 7
I thought they were trying to sneak out for a moment there lol. This reminds me of when I had to wake up at an ungodly hour to get ready for a school field trip
Sugamama concerned for the couple lmao
Hmm? Wat was that bout tsuki huh? What's with the look?
Pft- at least the tower actually kinda looks like tokyo tower, with the colors and all. HSKSHSK kageyama looks so disappointed that its not tokyo tower
LEV MY GUY 😭
Did karasuno ever tried practicing together as a team after they all did their individual practice? If not then I don't see how this will go well...
COME ON!— AH FUCK, so they didn't practice as a team to see how their individual training pays off as a whole group
OMG HINATA YES!! LET'S GO
Now, are you two gonna talk shit out now?? Ya two dumbasses cant keep giving each other the silent treatment
EYO ASAHI! OOF it's ok you'll get the next one!
Ah- well that's embarrassing... it is their first time trying that out
DON'T WORRY NOYA YA AIN'T USED TO SETTING
I have to say tho, it's nice that we get see karasuno trying- and failing- out their new skills, it makes sense that they wont be able to do them perfectly on the court. That's what happens when you're trying something new, but the fact is they're trying and working to be better. Once they've figured out their new rhythm, they'll be crushing it i bet
Awww lil hinata and yama getting hyped just watching the other teams
HSKSHSKS LMAO KUROO
Hhhh oh boy, first the tension between kageyama and hinata, now tsuki and yama. I sort of know why tsuki is being like this (thanks to spoilers oop-) but it interesting to watch it happen
Kuroo, bokuto (i think that's his name?) he's very not interested... LMAO POOR LEV
Ah yes, provoking tsuki to get him to do whatcha want lmao
YES YACHI, WE KAGEHINA SHIPPERS THANK YOU
Finally tsuki is actually putting the effort, ya don't see that every day
LMAO POOR LEV 😭
Oh~ now that's what a blocker who practices is like! Tsuki take notes
Kuroo knooows, he knows tsuki has potential, its just that he's not putting any effort to care and help grow that potential
OH SHIT TSUKI BACKSTORY!! Ah, that's one of the scary possibilities that could happen to anyone who works hard in something they're passionate about; putting so much effort, trying so hard, but then never getting the chance to actually succeed in your passion or just failing miserably, which ends up making you feel like all that time and effort was wasted
"look at you, you are such a fat ass" LMAO yeah we needed that to break the ice HSKHSJS
Damn karasuno be getting their asses kicked
WATERMELON BREAK
Oh right i forgot tsuki said that; him being the moon while hinata is the sun imagery shit... IS THAT WHY THIS EPISODE IS CALLED MOONRISE?? OMG I GET NOW
Karasuno is slowly learning bout tsuki's past, YOU CAN'T ESCAPE IT GLASSES BOY
Tsuki i have no idea why you started talking to asahi bout how hinata might surpass him, but asahi didn't come back to be replaced just like that
Coach ya better intervene and push tsuki to trying more, cuz he will end up falling behind
OH SHIT- hinata sensed a greater presence than he and let the ball go
Tsuki getting left behind on the uphill run with only yama staying behind to wait up for tsuki, but keeps running once tsuki tells him to go, THE SYMBOLISM
YEAH YAMA, what would tell him, cuz its bout time ya knock some sense into ye boyfriend

Name: Sheila Nickname(s): Lady Sheila(more of a title, really) Age: ??? [seems to be similar to Rhythm] Affiliations: Zora Crown, Hylian Crown (limited) Race: Zora
While Rhythm may have fallen for Prince Reti, and the Prince have fallen for Rhythm in return, the Zora royal bloodline cannot go on with those two alone. Sheila had already been close friends with the prince before Rhythm came into the picture, and there had already been discussion about having her rule alongside Reti as Queen. Needless to say, the lake freezing over for a while and the appearance of the Hylian... complicated matters.
Sheila is more of a warrior than Reti. She's adept at fighting with a spear but is no stranger to resorting to her teeth and claws when necessary.
She's always been more aggressive and abrasive than many of the lake Zora, but she's more at ease when drifting along the current. Surfing brings out a more competitive streak in her, whether it be against an old friend or against Prince Reti himself. Not a rude sort of competitive, but more of a playful rivalry that sparks up each and every time she's on the waves with someone else. Sometimes it's more like she's trying to show off or impress the other party rather than actually compete with them.
Sheila is liked well enough by the Zora people, but the initial tension between her and Rhythm was cause for concern in many. In time, tensions eased and the two got along, but it's still frustrating sometimes. They're both doing their best for the sake of Reti, who in turn is doing what he can to help them communicate better. Spending more time alone together to get to know one another has helped, at least, and they've started to find more common ground. Sparring has been more beneficial than expected.
[designer's notes: her name's Sheila because it was the first one to come to mind when I tried to think of a temporary name for her. because it was the name of one of the characters on the old Dungeons and Dragons radio show-turned-cartoon. They have basically nothing in common with each other but the name stuck. Sheila's colors also took forever to get settled on cause i never actually established colors for her in my head, but I'm happy with where they ended up.]
[yes, Rhythm, Reti, and Sheila are all together. They're still figuring things out to a degree (and so am I with how to best describe their relationship) but it's all gonna work out in the end.]
