It’s been a few months since you’ve become a part of Spider Society, and much to everyone’s disappointment, you and Hobie still hate each other. Even though on any given day the two of you will be seen around each other, you’re always arguing. Yelling. There have been multiple times where the two of you almost fought, but someone always breaks it up before it gets to that point. “Ready to go, Hobie?” Gwen asks, and he scoffs. “Can’t believe ‘m bein’ forced to go to that dickhead’s world by you of all people,” he grumbles, and she rolls her eyes. “C’mon man, we all know that you’ve both been way more irritable towards everyone because you haven’t seen each other in what? Like two days?”

“I’ll be a lot worse when I see them, I can promise ya that, mate,” he snaps and Miles shakes his head. “Yeah, sure. Whatever, Hobie,” he says as Gwen pulls up the portal to your world. “Are you excited to see them? I haven’t seen you two apart for this long ever, you’re always together,” Pavitr says, side-eying Hobie. He keeps trying to tell Gwen and Miles the two of you only hate each other because you have strong feelings for one another and don’t know how to face them.

“I’m telling you, they’re obsessed with each other,” Pavitr says as he, Gwen, and Miles sit in his home, sipping some chai. “Obsessed with wanting to kill each other maybe, but that’s about it,” Miles says, and Pavitr groans. “No! You’ve got it all wrong! Neither of them knows how to express their feelings and that’s the only reason they act the way they do!” he tries to convince them, but Gwen and Miles just glance at each other. “I don’t know, Pav,” Gwen says. “I picked up on the romantic tension between the two of you immediately, why are you doubting my genius social cue reading now?”

“You need to stop being such a romantic, Pav. The two of them would rather eat glass than be romantically involved in any way,” Gwen responded, but Pavitr was not convinced.

He still isn’t. Hobie laughs. “Excited? You must be mental to think I’d be chuffed to see them,” he responds, and Pavitr sighs. One day. One day he will get Hobie to admit he cares for you.

Gwen was honestly a little nervous for this little meet-up. The two of you had a really bad fight recently, and trying to get the two of you back to talking level seems a little ambitious.

“You what?” he yelled, causing you to roll your eyes. “I’m being mentored by Miguel.” Hobie stares at you, not saying anything, with his mouth slightly open before he shakes his head. He’s very angry, but you simply don’t care. “He’s helping me, Hobie. We both have the venomous bite thing, so he’s trying to help me out with it and helping me adjust to–”

“Don’t you dare say adjust to fuckin’ Spider Society like I ain’t been here the whole time.”

“You never necessarily helped, Hobie. Unless you count constantly insulting me and–”

“Nah, don’t gimme that fuckin’ rubbish, (Y/n),” he growls, and you cross your arms. “Why are you so mad about it anyway?” He laughs. “Why am I mad? Seriously?! You’re the right fuckin’ hand of the pitch and toss!”

“The what?” you ask and he groans. “The fuckin’ boss, (Y/n)! The man!”

“So what, Hobart?! In case you forgot you’re a part of this society, you listen to Miguel too!”

“I fuckin’ don’t!”

“You fucking do!” By this point, you’d pulled attention from several other spiders, not only because of the yelling but because their senses were going off. The two of you were too focused on each other to realize they were all ready to pounce on the two of you. “Fuckin’ piss off before I do somethin’ we both regret,” he growls, and you laugh. “Make me.”

The two of you were separated after that and haven’t talked to each other since. Granted, it’s only been two days, but that is long for the two of you, honestly. And it’s been making everyone a target of Hobie’s rude remarks and your cynicism. The two of you need to talk because clearly, not talking just makes the two of you feel worse.

Even though Hobie’s acting like this is the worst thing his friends could possibly do to him, he does kind of sort of miss you. Which he hates. It’s been two days and he’s already missing you? Disgusting. He can’t wait to yell at you about it. He’s able to keep his cool and pretend like he really doesn’t want to go, but in reality, he’s so anxious to see you. “Alright, come on,” Gwen says, motioning for Hobie to enter the portal. He glances around at them. “Makin’ me go first?”

“Can’t have you run off at the last minute,” Gwen says and he sighs. “Whatever,” he says, walking a little too fast into the portal. He only stops when he’s enveloped in a familiar darkness. He feels something brush up against his leg, and he lets go of a breath he didn’t even realize he was holding. “Good seein’ ya, Shadow,” he says, bending down to give your cat some attention. Shadow headbutts him and he scratches between his ears. Your cat loves Hobie, much to your disdain.

“You hurt him, I kill you,” you said to him the second time he was at your place. He picked up Shadow while you were in your room, and when you came out and saw him holding your baby, you were ready to fight. But you were ready to fight him at any given moment anyways. “I won’t hurt him. He’s much cooler than his owner anyways,” Hobie says, petting his head. You roll your eyes. “Yeah well– wait is he purring?” you say, and Hobie smirks at you. “Looks like he likes me better than his owner too.”

“Shut the fuck up. Shadow!” you call your cat, your voice going from a tone that screams ‘I hate you’ to one that screams ‘I love you.’ Of course, Shadow’s ears perk up and he hops out of Hobie’s arms and right over to yours. You stick your tongue out at Hobie, who rolls his eyes and looks away to cover up the dusting of a smile on his face. “What are you, 12?” he asks, and you scoff. “Can I hold Shadow?” Pavitr asks, and you hand him to him without a second thought. But no matter who you passed him to, he’d either end up in yours or Hobie’s lap.

He's so lost in the memory that he doesn’t even sense you approaching. “So, you decided to actually show up. I’m surprised,” he hears your voice and looks up at you. “Wasn’t exactly by choice, love. If I had it my way, I’d never be in this hellhole again,” he retorts, and you just shake your head and say nothing. That’s strange. You thought for sure you would mention something about him being forced to do something even though he always does what he wants. “What? Have you lost your spitfire after only two days of not talkin’ to me?” he asks, standing. You sigh. “I just… I don’t have the energy to fight today, Hobie. Okay?”

Don’t have the energy? You literally always have the energy to fight with him. Before he can say anything else, Pavitr comes through the portal.

“(Y/n)! How have you been?” he asks, excitedly, hugging you. Hobie doesn’t like that. But what he doesn’t like even more is the slight look of pain that spreads across your face for a split second. He observes silently as you play it off like nothing happened, and Pavitr is none the wiser to it. Gwen and Miles enter shortly after, and the dynamic you all had before yours and Hobie’s attempted murder of each other returns. Except for the constant bickering between you and Hobie. Instead, it’s just a lot of silent glaring, and subtle reactions. “Okay, hold on. What the hell is this?” Miles asks, and you both look at him. “What?” you say at the same time, ending in a side eye to each other. “That! That right there, why aren’t you two threatening to tear each other’s heads off because you said the same thing?” Miles asks, and Hobie shrugs. “I got nothin’ to say to them.”

“Ditto,” you say, and the three of them look at you two like your heads just got cut off. “Are you serious?”

“Do I look like I’m havin’ a laugh, mate?” Hobie snaps at Miles and he puts his hands up in surrender. “This… is odd. I can’t recall the last time it was quiet between you two.”

“Because it never was. They always went for each other’s throats like their own lives depended on it,” Pavitr says to Gwen, and you clear your throat. “We’re right here, you know,” you say with a forced grin. “Yeah, care to save the talkin’ bout us til we aren’t around?” Hobie grumbles and the three glance at each other before nodding. “Sorry, you two…” Gwen says, and you shrug. “It’s whatever. Dealt with worse,” you say, and Hobie nods. He glances over at you again. How is no one else noticing how weird you’re acting? Is he the only one who pays attention to you or some shit?

This isn’t the first time he’s picked up on your odd behaviors. Within the time he knew you, he was able to notice your behaviors unlike anyone else.

He wasn’t necessarily looking for you. He’d never go out of his way to look for you in a million years, yet here he was. In your world because you didn’t show up at the allotted time everyone was gonna meet up at in his world. He webbed up to the tallest building, the Ember Stake Building. It resembled that of a wooden stake, except all black and metal instead of wood. Sure enough, you were there. “You’re late.”

You turn and look at him, but don’t say anything. Instead, you just turn away. He frowns. “What’s that all about, then?” he asks, plopping next to you. You sigh. “I think I’m just gonna stay here tonight.”

“What? Why? Because you’re too borin’ to do anythin’ fun? Gotta work late tonight?”

“No. Personal reasons,” you say and he cocks his head to the side. “Such as?”

“Fuck off, Hobie. I’m not telling you.”

“Yes, you are. What’s goin’ on in that empty head of yours?” he asks and you give him an unamused look. “It’s the anniversary of my Uncle Belial’s death,” you mumble. He frowns. “Ah. I see.”

“...Yeah.” The two of you sit in silence, the wind the only noise happening before he sighs. “Well then, you’re definitely comin’ tonight.” He stands. You look at him. “I just said-”

“And I don’t give a shit. Come on, your friends are waitin’ for you. Besides, they can help ya get your mind off of it. Chop-chop.” You ended up going because you were forced to. But you did have a good time. Hobie was right, it helped you get your mind off of things. And maybe you were reading into it, but he seemed just a tad bit nicer to you that night than normal.

And you could tell his. 

“And what the hell is your problem today?” you appear behind Hobie who is angrily restringing his guitar in his common room at Spider Society. “Well now you’re a part of it,” he responds. You sit on the floor across from him. “As much as I’m happy just my presence can reduce you to a massive asshole, I don’t think I’m the only reason this time.”

“How could you even tell?”

You shrug. “You busy your mind and hands when you’ve got something on your mind,” you say, and he looks at you. He clicks his tongue and shakes his head. “Didn’t realize you were obsessed with me.”

“You wish,” you say. He sighs. “New group of fascist assholes showed up today,” he begrudgingly opens up and you nod. “Told you so.” He glares at you. “Had to say it,” you say, “But you’ll beat them. You always do.” He glances at you. “And if you can’t, I’ll just take care of it for you.” He laughs, unamused. “I’d like to see you try.”

He’s unsure why so many memories are flooding back to him at this moment in time. The answer is that he’s obsessed with you and Pavitr is right, but we don’t need to talk about that until he realizes it for himself. Maybe not seeing you has made him think about you more for some reason. He shakes his head, rejoining the conversation. Everything goes surprisingly well for the rest of the time you all are together. Unfortunately, Gwen gets a notice that something is happening in her world, and she has to go. Miles follows, and Pavitr is torn between going with them or staying with the two of you to make sure no one gets murdered. Or to see some romantic shit.

“We been behavin’, haven’t we?” Hobie says, a bit relieved they were leaving so he could find out what was up with you. You were close with the others, but even they’ve commented on you two only opening up with each other. “You actually have… and maybe it’d be good to leave them alone. Talk out whatever issues they’re having,” Miles says to Pavitr and Gwen, who look at each other but reluctantly agree. Miles and Pav rush into Gwen’s world before her. “I swear if you two kill each other I’m going to kill both of you,” Gwen says, walking backward into the portal to her world and pointing at the two of you. “We won’t.”

“Probably,” Hobie finishes, and Gwen rolls her eyes before disappearing. There’s a silent tension between the two of you before he speaks up. “What happened?”

“I don’t know what you’re–”

“Don’t play dumb with me, now. What happened?” he pushes, and you frown at him. Shadow leaps up into your lap and nuzzles you. You sigh and gently pet him. Hobie stays silent, watching and waiting. “Just… bad day,” you mumble. “Bad day, how?”

“Bad spider day.” He hums. “That why you looked like Pav stabbed ya after that hug?” You look at him, surprised. “You saw that?”

“Course I did. ‘m not fuckin’ daft,” he responds, and you look at Shadow. “Yeah… it’s nothing, though. Just a few scratches, typical Spider-Person shit,” you say, and he nods. “Let me see, then.”

“What?”

“Let me see.”

“Why?”

“Cause you’re lyin’,” he shrugs, and you glare at him. “Have I told you I hated you?”

“Not recently, but yeah.” You glare at him but sigh. “Fuck you, Hobie,” you mumble, but shrug off your oversized cardigan. His eyes widen as he sees deep lacerations and bruises spread across your shoulder and onto your back. He stands up and approaches you without even realizing it. You watch him as he studies your injuries. “Who did this?” His voice sounds darker than you’ve ever heard it. You look away from him. “Does it matter?”

“Yes,” he responds immediately. You turn your head to look at him again, only to have him staring directly into your eyes. “Prowler,” you mumble, and he frowns. “The worst of the worst in your world,” he whispers to himself, recalling a conversation the two of you had months ago. He glances around. “Where’s your first aid kit?” he asks, and you look at him with a side-eye. “Why?”

“Cause I wanna get high off the painkillers in it, why do you think, you dolt?” he snaps, and you point to your bathroom. “Under the sink.” He gets up and walks into your bathroom, grabs the first aid kit, and walks back out to you on your couch. “Turn round and move a bit,” he says, and you do. He sits behind you, starting to clean and stitch to your injuries up. You wince slightly and he frowns. “Why haven’t you done this yet?”

“I can’t reach back there myself.”

“Then ask someone else to do it.”

“I don’t have anyone to ask anymore.”

“Yes, you do,” he says without missing a beat. You turn your head to say something snarky to him, but he looks at you at the same time. Your faces are closer than the two of you expected, causing you both to quickly look away. You can feel your face burning, and you’re grateful the injuries are mainly on your back and not close to your heart because you don’t want to hear his comments about how fast it’s beating. On an equal note, Hobie’s happy you aren’t looking at him because he has his jaw clenched and swallows hard. His heart is beating just as fast, but he pretends like it’s nothing, just like you. He finishes the stitches, placing bandages over top of them. “Done,” he says, and you mutter a quick ‘thank you’ as he tosses the first aid kit onto your coffee table. “Should be healed by tomorrow,” you mumble, and he nods. “When did that happen?”

“A few hours before you all got here,” you admit, and he frowns. “And you were just gonna pretend nothing happened?”

“Yes. I told you earlier, I’m too tired to deal with any bullshit today, okay?” you confess, and he frowns.

“He get ya that good cause you’re tired?”

“I guess.”

“When’s the last time you slept?”

“Dunno.”

“Stop lyin’ love,” he says, and the nickname you hate oh so much sounds just a little sweeter to you than it should. “Couple days ago.”

“You haven’t slept in two days?” You shake your head, and he sighs. “Go the fuck to sleep. Now.”

“But–”

“Go,” he demands, pointing to your bedroom. You groan, “You’re so fucking annoying,” you mumble, getting up and dragging yourself to your room. “Yeah, yeah whatever,” he says, following you. You flop onto your bed as he leans against the doorframe, arms crossed. “Come to tuck me in?”

“You wish,” he watches as Shadow hops up onto your bed, curling up against you. You immediately put your hand on him and pet him. Hobie frowns as he feels a pang of annoyance toward your cat. “Gonna stand there and watch me sleep or something?” your voice pulls him out of his ridiculous thoughts, and he scoffs. “Gonna stand here and make sure you don’t try to get up as soon as I go,” he says, and you sigh. “Fine,” you mutter, rolling away from him. He stands there until he’s sure you’re asleep. He glances at Shadow, who is still awake and staring at him. He puts his finger to his lips to say “shh” as he pulls his mask over his head.

He and the Prowler of this world need to have a bit of a chat.

It’s so funny to see people on Twitter get so worked up over TCOAAL. It’s like they go out of their way to talk about how much they hate the game. They will literally go to the accounts of people who post fan art/content of the game and act like a dick in the replies 🤦🏻‍♀️. It’s like omg get a damn life, if you hate the game so much why are you going out of your way to interact with people who like it???

Also, people getting this angry over a fictional animated horror game is so incredibly unserious to me, mind you there’s literally nothing super graphic in the game either. This is a prime example of a 1st world problem. I remember hearing about the controversy through a YouTube video and I was like wtf? Let me see what’s going on lol. Then I watched a play through on YouTube and I thought to myself “This is what people are so upset over??” I’ve never seen such fake moral outrage in my life 💀.

That’s actually how I became a fan of the game, I’ve been a fan of horror stuff for quite some time now and I love weirdo horror computer games, so I was glad to find something new! After watching the play through I bought the game and played it myself. Andrew and Ashley Graves have now wormed their way into my heart 🙄✋🏻 lmao. Seriously though, once you look deeper into their characters you see how they weren’t born evil, they’re just a product of their god awful environment and how their parents failed them. I’ve talked about this before so I’ll keep it brief, but ESPECIALLY Ashley, that girl had a terrible childhood and Andrew was the only one she could rely on, so of course she’s terrified of losing him. Not making excuses for her, but that explains why she goes to extreme measures to keep him around, because she thinks that’s the only way he’ll stay with her, she doesn’t think that someone could love her without her doing all that. Even though we know he’s equally obsessed with her and would stay no matter what, Ashley doesn’t know that yet. That’s why it’s frustrating for me to see people completely ignore that Ashley is a victim too. She was quite literally treated as disposable by everyone except for Andrew.

I have such a soft spot for both Ashley and Andrew as characters, because even though they’re flawed individuals, they both had a shitty upbringing and the world they live in is trash + it hates them. That’s why I want them to have a happy ending, after everything, they deserve some happiness for once. 🥲 🥲

Anyway, I also think these people have a hard time differentiating fiction from reality and that’s actually concerning to me. I’ve seen this type of behavior before but now it seems worse than ever, not just with TCOAAL but other forms of fictional media too. An example I can think of is when people will ship two costars in real life because they played lovers in a movie or TV show, to the point where they even talk shit about the actors real life partners. It’s so embarrassing to see. I also would not be shocked if one day people started saying we can’t make slasher films anymore because they “glorify” murder. The way some of these people act, they make it sound like if anything bad is portrayed in media that means it’s automatically being glorified or encouraged. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Now don’t get it twisted, I understand if someone simply isn’t a fan of the game, it’s not for everyone and I get that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I respect that. I just think it’s stupid af to go and harass fans of the game just because YOU don’t like it. Not to mention people attempting to dox Nemlei causing her to nuke all of her social media presence. I don’t blame her though because doxxing is scary. I’ve seen people say she deserved the attempted dox just because she created the game, so.. you’re angry over a fictional psychological horror game with fictional characters because it portrays bad things, but you support the attempted doxxing of a real person? Which could have been really dangerous for them… Alright. Lmao, like ok, yeah, you’re soooo morally superior to everyone else 😍. I do not understand their thought process.

Let me just share what I saw someone post about TCOAAL on Twitter tonight. This is what they said:

“its literally ashley manipulating andrew into just agreeing with the incestuous relationship that shes forcing onto him. if i remember correctly they literally have sex in the game.”

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. If someone has a take which involves Ashley solely being the problem and that Andrew is just a softy who can do no wrong and was forced to do everything he’s done, I discard their opinion because they don’t know what they’re talking about and are just seeing what they want to see 🤷🏻‍♀️. Mind you, Andrew is the one who has sexual feelings for Ashley, not the other way around. We know Ashley loves Andrew, but sex isn’t a big deal to her and if they never slept together she wouldn’t care. The way they haven’t even had sex in the game either, people love to say that lmao, it’s a vision and we don’t even see anything explicit, we just know what happened.

Not only do we have haters of the game blame Ashley for everything, but other fans of the game (Reddit community) do the exact same thing. It’s rough out here y’all. 😭 I need them to stop speaking about her immediately. 😂

Another reason I don’t take them seriously is because I can guarantee you they didn’t keep the same energy for Game of Thrones, House of the Dragons, or Flowers in the Attic. I’m sure there’s more, but those are the main examples I can think of. That’s another reason why I didn’t understand the controversy, they act like it’s the first time incest has ever been portrayed in fictional media??? Regardless though, I just don’t understand why people would get this worked up over something that’s not real. Andrew and Ashley are literally pixels on a screen, they aren’t real people. 💀

But the worst of all, I’ve seen people call TCOAAL pedophilic???????? Words used to mean things! I have no idea how someone could even get that from the game, Ashley is 20 and Andrew is 22, so? People just say anything.

Adding this in here even though this has been posted already, but now people are saying that Ashley groomed Andrew on Tik Tok….. I am tiredddd. 💀 These people will jump through literal hoops to try and prove that Andrew isn’t as bad as Ashley I cannot.

At the end of the day, anyone with common sense can differentiate fiction from reality and knows that what the game portrays is wrong in real life. I mean it’s a psychological horror game. Psychological horror focuses on mental, emotional, and psychological states to disturb and unsettle the viewers. I just feel like the hate for the game is so forced at this point.

hi! i wanted to ask u a question abt gwitch if that’s okay. during That episode 17, before miorine does the cruel/idiotic betrayal breakup she tells guel that she’s the same as him and also doesn’t want to lose her precious things. obviously she meant suletta but i was always confused, bc she’s still going thru with the backstabbing and pushing her away so she IS losing her precious thing unlike guel who with this deal is preserving his precious thing which is jeturk company by partnering w her. so they’re not the same in that sense OR did she mean 2 other ways: that she doesn’t want to lose the precious suletta she knows and loves to prospera’s manipulations that’ll turn her into a murderer, or that she means it like suletta will surely die on this path if it continues and she doesn’t want to lose her literally.

sorry this got long but i’m v curious how u interpreted that, like she said that and then goes and gives up her precious thing- unless it was the latter reasons i mentioned. also i’m realizing now it sounds like i hate miorine, i don’t, i get what she did and im nuetral/like her character but i never got the catharsis and resolution from that act bc of the rushed ending, and now i have this unresolved frustration and anger towards her that pops up sometimes when i think abt the 2nd cour.

i rly rly wish they’d gotten to talk abt this more during their reunion than just the one line “pulling u away from ur mom, it was all a mistake” like i desperately needed the words im sorry. i KNOW she probably said it offscreen but maaaan, i know u like this trope but break your heart to save them gets under my skin so badly i just want to shake the character!

To me it was both of the reasons you yourself mentioned: Miorine weighed her options, and ultimately decided that Suletta would be worse off if she didn't cut ties with her in the worst possible way. As a result, Suletta would be taken out of the most dangerous areas (re: Prospera also giving her up, as was the deal) and she wouldn't be further corrupted by Prospera either.

There just really wasn't any good decision to make. I love that episode because I think it's incredibly good character development for Miorine to be able to make that choice; she's always been somewhat of a selfish character and that's been shown alongside her protection of Suletta, so obviously this is a huge decision for her no matter what.

I would have also loved to see an apology, but unfortunately it's pretty clear that the tail end of the show was pretty rushed and while the scene we did get of their reunion was done incredibly well, there's a few things that they simply ran out of time for. In the end, I think I would have loved a true season 2 where they could flesh everything out more slowly and thoroughly, but I am happy with what we were ultimately given. You are absolutely valid to have some misgivings about how it all went down.

Saw someone point out that arguably the worst aspect of the finale is how much of Gabriel's victory depended on Marinette deciding to allow it. Like she COULD have told everyone he was Monarch, or even just refuse to back him up. But she doesn't tell anyone aside from Alya and maybe Su-Han, I think? She lets everyone believe that Gabriel died helping Ladybug, and even pulls another Queen Wasp but maybe worse? While she insisted on Chloe and Audrey being together and giving it a shot, she's actively gaslighting Adrien into thinking his dad wasn't abusive. Nathalie and Tomoe don't interfere. Its implied that Felix literally CAN'T tell Adrien- but he DOES seem to tell Kagami. Who does nothing with it. Felix is also the one who spells out Gabriel's identity to Maribug and encourages her to end him at any cost in the first place.

Honestly it just goes to show how far the show takes sympathy for horrible men and the lengths they go to to fulfill their dumb Marinette Mistake Quota. In the first place, they’ve never actually acknowledged any of the parents as unrepentant abusers, they just frame them as parents that take discipline too far (ffs there’s a difference between being strict and being abusive but the show doesn’t want to touch on that), in Gabriel’s case, because he “cares too much”. Therefore, since Gabriel acts out of his own trauma or whatever, we should feel sympathy towards him and understand that his treatment towards Adrien stems from love 🥹 (not to be confused for when female characters act out of trauma, those deserve to rot). Combine this mentality with how everything Marinette does, no matter how objective or logical, is a world-ending mistake and you get the finale. She can’t win. She can have small victories, sure, but she can never win in the big picture. She always has to bend to what the universe’s demands, and what it demands is an shock value ending where the sympathetic villain is remembered as a hero and Marinette has once again made a mistake. She’s doomed by the narrative but not even on purpose. The narrative wants to make a joke out of her and pander to it’s now dead male villain, who is sympathetic just in case you forgot, and make the whole thing her fault. And you can be damned sure it’s going to be her fault. Because she has to make a mistake. The narrative doesn’t know how to move its story along otherwise. Another detail I almost forgot to mention is that Adrien is set up so he never gets a true happy ending from the start. The crew didn’t seem to consider this before settling on the plot the show would take so now they’re left scrambling for a way that their poor little uwu golden boy remains untainted by the realities of his family situation and the plot in general. So they temporarily remove him from the picture so he doesn’t have to face the truth, have his mom brought back as if she never went missing so he doesn’t have to face the truth, and have his horrible father remembered as a hero so, you guessed it, he doesn’t have to face the truth. In a way, Adrien’s very existence as a character that must never change is to blame for all of this. Because he can’t make any hard choices, because he can’t take any initiative, because he can’t face the truth.

I’m sure it’ll all explode at some point down the line and it’ll be portrayed simply as another one of Marinette’s mistakes rather than what it really is: cowardly writing.

TL;DR: the mess that is the finale is most probably due to the crew feeling overly sympathetic towards the villain, wanting to meet their Marinette Mistake Quota, and wanting golden boy to stay ignorant of the situation surrounding his family.

Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Season 2 Episode 6 Review

- Suletta needs to learn proper coping techniques fast. Just ignoring the problem doesn’t make it go away. All that does is let it build up inside you until you snap. However, since the very beginning, Suletta has acted as a doormat, letting people walk all over her without speaking up for herself. She deserves to be sad, she deserves to be angry. Being a people-pleaser will only just tear her apart more. Luckily, both Chuchu and Eri realized this, and while Chuchu went about it the healthier way, it was good of Eri to finally cut off Suletta. She needs to establish a life outside of being Aerial’s pilot. It might have been what she was made for, but fuck destiny and parental expectations! Live your own life tanuki!

- Earth House claiming the best supporting character spots simply by recognizing what’s wrong with Suletta and actually acting on it, especially Chuchu. She pushes Suletta to express her true feelings and makes the plan to go see Miorine so she can explain herself. She’s grown up from the violent little doggy she was before. She uses her anger to push her forward, but she isn’t letting it take over her like Norea

- Poor Lauda is projecting his insecurities onto Suletta (though he isn’t really wrong.) He’s dedicated his life and self worth into supporting his brother, much like Suletta with Aerial, and now that Miorine’s the one by his side, he feels empty. He needs to come into his own as person and separate himself from his brother. I can only hope his adorable girlfriend Petra can help him through these times.

- Lauda and Felsi thanking Chuchu made me weak. They’re so honorable. But what shot me in the heart was Felsi’s smile and look back at Chuchu before she ran off. She loves that poofy girl so much. I’d love to see the two go to Earth and fight together

- I feel so bad for Martin. He did the right thing in reporting Nika because she never explained herself despite him giving her multiple chances, and he wanted to protect the rest of his friends. Dude’s carrying a heavy weight on his shoulders, but his little therapy session just made it worse.

- WHAT THE FUCK SECELIA!

- Girl created a whole catholic confession booth on the school to figure out the student’s dirty secrets. Interesting thing though, is that it’s Rouji’s Haro instead of the normal ones. The normal Haro’s are connected to the authorities and report everything but since Rouji’s is custom, it probably doesn’t have that feature. And is Secelia doing this just because she likes gossip or because she’s now taking her job seriously and wants to weed out any dangerous individuals? Or is the Burion House sort of like a secret police that monitors everyone?

- Shaddiq ONCE AGAIN is a total snake, but he’s definitely bit off more than he could chew by meeting with Prospera. If Shaddiq is two steps ahead of our main cast, Prospera is at the top of the stairs ready to push him down

- Peil House is the worst group of people I’ve ever seen in my life. They literally just let a computer decide the fates of orphaned children and pick out which ones they’ll experiment on. Elan Prime was lucky. He could have ended up another Enhanced Person if fate decided to be a dick. Which probably only makes El5n even more pissed. Like, he could have been the special one, but instead some computer decided he wasn’t important enough

- Speaking of El5n, my beloved, tight lips my ass. Bro just spilled the whole tea on Peil to two random fugitives. Shows just how much he hates them. But poor Nika wasn’t expecting to have to deal with all that and now she’s floundering. Maybe she’ll start working on Gundams that don’t kill people. Also El5n calling out Norea and pointing out the similarities between each other all while she’s trying to stab him is hot and I ship them so hard. Nika should ask Sabina for a separate room or she’ll be witness to their hatefucking

- Finally we see the Schwarzette! There’s been so much discussion about this suit, what it was or who would pilot it, and now we get to see it in all its glory. We’ll have to see if the AI will take on the Permet strain or if it’ll hurt the pilot.

- If this anime wasn’t political already, then we’re about to get sooooo political. Miorine is gonna have a hard time connecting with the rioters considering her position and personality. Maybe Guel will be able to help her navigate, and maybe even use his Dawn of Fold connections. Personally, if they want to help, I think setting up field hospitals would be the first best step but that’s just me

- The swole chad Kenanji has now joined the group and I’m so excited. Bro was hyped up in the prologue and then dropped off the face of the earth. But considering he’s on the same spaceship as Prospera, I don’t think he’ll be getting out of it alive

- Eri’s a savage. She allowed Suletta to come to her just to tell her she’s ditching her. Like, I know she’s trying to help, but she could have been gentler. And activating the Permet really didn’t help either.

- Prospera actually does something nice and stops using Suletta for her revenge. But she still doesn’t explain anything and this leaves Suletta a sobbing broken mess out in space. Truly the mother of the year. But the way she defers to Eri shows that ultimately, she’s a broken woman who just wants her daughter back. Everything she’s done is all so she can be with Eri again, ignoring the thousands of people she’s trampled

Next episode is gonna be painful as well. I don’t expect good things to happen on Earth, especially not since karma magnet Guel and warcrime MILF Prospera are there. Also since Shaddiq was the title vocalist, maybe we’ll get more of his backstory?

mike, will & el: lies vs truth

*these are my own personal opinions based on what i’ve observed. it’s fine if you disagree!! i’m tagging byler, mike and will so it shows up in their tags only, so if you happen to come across this and you don’t like byler, don’t bother reading because this heavily focuses on how close they are and how strong their relationship is ☺️

mike and el

el has always known mike doesn't like being lied to and it’s one of the first things he teaches her (see screenshot above), but after they start dating, she lies to him a lot (including in all her letters in season 4) because she doesn't feel comfortable telling the truth or being herself around him. mike also lies to el a lot, and even when confronted, continues to lie, because he also can't be himself around her either. lying has only hurt both of them and the people around them, and although they may find it difficult to open up because they have their own struggles, it just shows that they don’t understand each other and being in a romantic relationship (that was extremely rushed for two children) isn’t helping them.

also, none of the other characters have fully approved or said anything positive about their relationship, and it’s not really surprising considering mike and el force themselves to act a certain way around each other and exclude everyone around them when they’re trying to be lovey dovey (which isn’t romantic or healthy). obviously they’re not intentionally trying to hurt people but they just get blinded by their relationship and it’s not good. it’s like they’re trying so hard to compensate for the lack of important things in their relationship (trust, honesty, proper communication, shared interests, understanding) with things that they just think are expected in a typical romantic relationship (making out, shoving everyone else to the side just to be with each other, basically just cheesy things that they see every other couple do and what romantic movies show).

the other characters have only encouraged them to break up and/or called them out for lying and being unfair which says a lot, and i think it’s also very interesting to note that the general audience and casual viewers started hating mike the moment he started dating el, because that’s when his character changed. if a character becomes worse after getting into a relationship and his own friends call him out for it more than once AND most of the audience starts hating him (there are literally polls that show he’s the least favourite main character now), isn’t that telling you that this relationship just simply isn’t good? couples are supposed to bring out the best in each other, not make each other become worse.

"they're just kids" and "couples always have issues" may have worked as an excuse at one point, and it would’ve been understandable since it was their first relationship (especially for el who was only just starting to learn about these things), but that excuse just simply doesn’t work anymore after season 4, and it’s really weird when people STILL try to say it and force them to stay together when it’s clearly hurting them (and others around them). and if they’re “just kids” that are immature, make mistakes, lie, argue, make each other feel insecure (even if it’s unintentional) and don’t even understand each other, why are they in a relationship at all? like you said, they’re just kids. why would anyone want to watch kids with unresolved trauma and their own personal struggles stuck in a relationship like this where they’re not even helping each other? do people even care about the characters?

they’ve been dating for years and they've had plenty of time to grow and develop as a couple throughout the series, but they haven't. they’ve only made each other feel worse and more insecure (not intentionally but still). they've shown that they can be mature and honest and they can be themselves with other characters, so why can't they be like that in their own relationship? it's because they just simply don't understand each other and don't work as a couple. everything was so rushed for them, and that's okay to admit.

there is no honest communication, no trust, no understanding, and even when they try to comfort each other, it just doesn't seem to work. they lie a lot and pretend like everything is okay when it isn't, and they never actually end up resolving any issues. there’s not a single scene where they have a proper heart-to-heart conversation where they're being completely honest and understanding of each other. there’s not a single scene where they’re doing something they actually enjoy together (because they don't really having anything in common) while being their true selves instead of acting fake and forcing themselves to be people they're not. they’ve only had make out scenes and scenes where they ignore their friends and exclude them. i’ve never seen a scene where mike is with el AND their other friends, where mike is actually being kind and paying attention to the others. it’s like he can't balance his relationships and he completely switches his personality to “obsessed with el” mode and forces himself to only focus on her and it’s not cute, romantic or healthy at all. there was absolutely no reason for both of them to completely ignore will and exclude him at the roller rink, especially when all three of them know what it's like to be outcasted and left out. and when mike and el fight, they’re both pretty stubborn and don’t immediately apologise or check up on each other. mike waited until the next morning before seeing if el was okay after being bullied and making her feel worse, and then he kept denying things that she confronted him about.

i understand that they both have their own trauma and struggles. their feelings are valid and i can see why they might struggle to open up sometimes. but the point i’m trying to make is that they simply don’t work together as a romantic couple because they just don’t understand each other at all. if you can’t be yourself with your partner or feel comfortable enough to communicate with them, that means you shouldn’t be in a relationship with them OR at least take a break from dating for a while instead of forcing the relationship to continue. people always seem to ignore the fact that mike and el met as CHILDREN and kissed when they were 12 years old and knew each other for 6 days. el didn’t even know what romance was and she couldn’t communicate at the same level as mike. he literally had to teach her the word “friend” a few days earlier so the last thing she needed was a boyfriend. they rushed into romance so quickly, and even now, they’re only 15 years old and still struggling with so much unresolved trauma. even though they love and care for each other so much, they are still KIDS that they don’t understand each other or work as a couple. how can anyone think this relationship is romantic or healthy for them??

and no, being forced into saying a monologue where you tell someone things that you know they want to hear (because of a previous fight) because you're under pressure and trying to save them is not actually solving any of your relationship problems, especially when you lie in the process. you should be able to tell your partner you love them without them begging and crying in front of you. you should be able to tell your partner you love them when they don't have their powers. you should be able to tell your partner you love them without being pushed into it because of your best friend's feelings for you. you should be able to tell your partner you love them when they're not in danger and fighting for their life. you should not have to be forced into telling your partner you love them. and the excuse that mike was insecure and afraid of losing el will never make sense from a writing standpoint, because he knew exactly what she wanted to hear when she was crying in front of him. he knew she left with owens and didn't take him with her because he didn't tell her he loved her ("maybe i should've said something. and if i would've said that thing, then maybe she'd want me there with her"). he knew the entire time, so it just doesn't make sense why he couldn't comfort her or say 3 simple words. she was crying in front of him, practically begging to hear it. if he loved her so much and his fear was losing her, not only should he have said it during all the years they were dating WITHOUT her asking him to, but he should've said it the moment she started crying and confronted him about it. but he still didn't. he couldn't.

a forced monologue full of exaggerated lies that were said in an attempt to sound "romantic" doesn't suddenly fix all of that. it would've been more genuine and romantic if he at least tried to be honest. even if it was something like "i know things didn't start out easy for us at the beginning, and i'm sorry for that. but honestly... i realised how special you were the moment i saw your selflessness. how determined you were to help find will, a boy you didn't even know, even if it meant risking your life. and how you saved me that day, as well as so many other people... that'll be something i won't ever forget. there are so many people that love and care for you, and we believe in you". that's just a rough idea, but literally ANYTHING other than lies would've been so much better and more genuine than what we actually got. and it would've been nice to see him appreciate el as a person and mention all her good qualities. her kindness, her selflessness, the way she's willing to risk her life to save others. but instead, he idolised her for her powers and spoke about her abilities. he just lied and made things up that we know aren't true.

how could a 12 year old who was traumatised about his missing best friend and was so focused on finding him fall in love with a stranger in the woods who he looked at for two seconds and hadn't even spoken a word to? how could someone who doesn't believe in love at first sight ("it's not fate, it's not destiny, it's just simple dumb luck") or forming an opinion on someone before actually getting to know them ("awesome? you haven't even spoken a word to her" and "hate you? how can i hate you? i don't even know you") suddenly act like he believes in love at first sight to try and sound romantic? el would've understood if he told the truth because she knows it wasn't love at first sight either. it just made the scene look cheesy and it felt way less genuine. it also felt extremely invalidating and hurtful to will too considering that's the time he went missing and was fighting for his life in an alternate dimension. mike could've picked anything else to say to el and he chose that? really?

meanwhile…

it's also ironic that they both have a scene where they say the word "trust", when their relationship barely has any trust or honesty, and el proceeds to lie two seconds later, like she's been doing for months in her letters. also, they don't share any similar interests and seem to think the other's hobbies and interests are weird. not necessarily in a bad way, but they just don't understand each other.

el also spies on mike in season 3 without him knowing, looking a little disgusted and weirded out when he's just being himself (and fine, to be fair, he wasn't really behaving nicely in this scene and he was being whiny lol, but it just shows how mike is when he's with the boys, being his true self and not faking his personality or trying to appear cool). el isn't used to seeing him like that because he always acts like someone he's not when he's around her, so she was surprised. when mike finds out about this, he's understandably upset and embarrassed because she took advantage of her abilities and invaded his privacy. this shows the lack of trust and communication in their relationship. it's also weird how after they break up, they don't even go to each other. mike whines and feels sorry for himself instead of thinking about el's feelings, and el spies on mike instead of talking to him properly. they only talk days later when they have no choice and have to work together again with the others.

mike and will

will has always known that mike doesn't like being lied to and he doesn't like when other people lie to him either. he knows him very well and wants to look out for him so he doesn't get upset. he also knows that lies can eventually turn messy and he was definitely right in this case. if el hadn't lied to mike about her life in california, the bullying incident may have been avoided entirely, as well as el hitting angela with the rollerskate and mike and el's big fight (that mike claims they can't come back from) the next day. and no, it wasn’t will’s job to tell mike. he can’t do everything for them or they’ll never grow and develop as a couple (and clearly they’re not, we see their relationship getting worse each season) and it only ends up hurting both of them. if mike and el are the ones that are dating, they should know how to communicate and be honest with each other. if they can’t do that and someone always has to intervene and help them manage their own relationship, they shouldn’t be dating at all.

something i also find really beautiful is that in mike and will's very first one-on-one conversation in the first episode, will tells mike the truth about the roll. this is the introduction to their relationship and we can already see that there is trust and honesty; something very important to both of them.

mike and will continue to tell each other the truth and confide in each other throughout the show. in season 2, will only talks to mike about the mindflayer and everything he’s struggling with. mike also opens up to will when he talks about how guilty he feels for not being able to save el. they both feel safe and comfortable with each other, and they don’t leave each other’s side all season. although they’re more distant in season 3, will is still very honest, especially during their fight scene where he lets everything out and doesn’t deny that he wants to spend the rest of his life playing games with mike in his basement. he even makes sarcastic little comments in other episodes when mike annoys him. he doesn’t hold back or pretend to be fake. he can always be himself with mike and mike knows that. it’s something that has always made them so much more genuine compared to other couples and it shows how close they are.

the only time will lies to mike is when he gives him the painting and confesses his own feelings for him, but uses el's name as a disguise. but it's very important to remember that this is completely different to when el lies to mike and when mike lies to el. mike and el lie to each other because they don't feel like equals or understand each other. they don't feel comfortable with each other and they can't be themselves. they lie to each other so that they can make themselves look cool to impress each other. that's not the case with mike and will. we know that they understand each other better than anyone else and they feel comfortable with each other. they love each other for exactly who they are (and they know that!) and they don't have to hide or pretend to be people they're not to impress each other. will only lied here because he wanted to make mike feel better since he saw that he was upset, and because he obviously couldn't tell the full truth since it wasn't right and he also wasn’t ready to come out. will would never try to get in the way of mike's relationship. he wasn't trying to take him away from el, he was only trying to help because he saw that he was upset and struggling with his insecurities. he was half lying to him (by using el as a disguise), but also telling the truth, because what he described is how he truly feels about mike. will only had good intentions as well. he was thinking about mike the entire time, not himself. he was trying to do what he thought was best for him in that moment. he could've kept silent and let mike stay upset, but he chose to give him the painting and sacrifice his own feelings for him to make him feel better. i'm not sure how mike will react to that, but it's a completely different thing from when mike and el lie to each other. i know some people think mike will get mad, but i actually think he'll understand and appreciate it, even if it takes time.

the relief and happiness on will's face when he sees that mike is happy after seeing the painting is the cutest thing ever 💛

and look at mike's little smile after he hears about how will feels about him :') he just doesn't know it yet!!

and finally, another important thing. mike and will always resolve their issues after they argue (which, by the way, they've only had two small arguments. and both times it was because they weren't paying attention to each other lol. also notice how mike and will never argued with each other until mike started dating el? they didn’t start arguing because of their own relationship, because we know their relationship is strong and healthy and they’ve always been close and understand each other so well. they started arguing because of mike and el’s relationship because it’s unhealthy and mike started changing and forcing himself to act a certain way. i think this is very important to note). anyways, mike immediately went to will both times to apologise and we know mike is usually stubborn when it comes to apologising, but not with will. no one had to pressure him to do it. after their first argument in 3x03, he rode his bike during a storm to apologise and check if will was okay. after their second argument in 4x02, he went to will's room to say apologise again and check if will was okay. mike took full responsibility for how he acted and didn't let will blame himself because he knew it wasn't his fault at all and he understood why he was hurt. mike showed his vulnerable side, something he can only do with will, and admitted he wasn't acting great and was probably focusing too much on el. then he admits he was scared that he lost will and that hawkins wasn't the same without him. he tells will that he thinks it'll be better if they're a team. friends. best friends. this makes will feel better because he said "i thought we were best friends" the previous day during their fight, and he felt like they were growing apart. mike reassured him that wasn't the case, and they ended up even closer by the end of the conversation, with smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes.

mike and el on the other hand didn't resolve any of their issues. in fact, they never do (also remember how i mentioned above that mike and will have never argued because of their own relationship? well mike and el do argue because of their own relationship. it’s not about other people, it’s about them. their relationship is always the issue and they always start fighting because they just don’t work together as a couple). even back in season 3, they didn't properly apologise to each other or admit to anything that they did behind the other's back. they just... moved on like nothing happened? and then in season 4, people act like the monologue solved all their relationship issues, when it didn't. not even close. for starters, el never apologised to mike for lying in her letters. mike never had a good excuse for not comforting el or telling her he loved her when she was sobbing. el went with owens even though she was warned she might never see mike again, and left him a letter saying "from, el". mike crumpled it up and threw it in the trash, before saying it was like a fight they can't come back from. mike wasn't going to say his monologue if it weren’t for will. it was will's painting and monologue that made mike feel loved and gave him strength and motivation. mike thought will was talking about el when he wasn't. even when el was choking on the table, mike wasn't saying anything. he only said it when will pushed him to. then he proceeded to make up lies that made absolutely no sense and contradicted things we've literally seen in the show. and i understand he was under pressure and trying to save her so he had to tell her what she wanted to hear, but he was still lying regardless. that's why it makes no sense when people act like it's a genuine love confession. also, mike didn't even know if she could hear him. they weren't face-to-face. it wasn't private or intimate. he didn't mention anything about her other than her powers because that's all he really knows about her. he didn't say it because he was ready to or wanted to, he said it because she was literally choking and he was under pressure and had no other choice. obviously he loves her so much and cares for her, but that monologue was not a genuine love confession. it was more like a motivational speech that happened during a stressful moment and it only happened because it was forced. it was also insulting that will was used as a plot device to make it happen in the first place AND that mike was lying to el, but anyways. afterwards, we don't even see mike and el interact, and after the time skip, el isn't talking to mike. it's like they started off close at the beginning of the season and ended up further apart by the end, which is the opposite to mike and will.

🌺Ever the confident and arrogant lady she is, you could say that Daki feels like she is entitled to own her darling which puts her into the case of the possessive Yandere. Mix that in with her controlling behavior and you get a rather unpleasant event unfolding in front of you. The demon demands all of her darling’s attention and affection and it should go unsaid that you only give her what she wants from you. Why would you give your attention anyone else, humans are utterly pathetic and weak, she’s above them and for that the best. Wants you to worship her like the goddess she wants you to see her as, her expectations for you are high and she is willing to force them on you as often as it is needed. If you don’t do as she wants you to do, you’re in dangers of being exposed to her rants and anger. Daki has some sort of twisted and adoring love, it doesn’t stop her from lashing out and throwing childish and bratty tantrums in front of you when you don’t do as she says though.

🌺Monopolizes all of her darling’s time to the point where she drags them to her workplace. She can’t stand the thought of her s/o being without her supervision, whether that is because she doesn’t trust them now and then or other people is up for discussion. You’ll be in either case with her and even the house owner doesn’t get a say in it, not without risking another of Daki’s feared fits of anger. It’s strictly forbidden to interact with you much, you’re isolated in a house full of people because all of them are terrified of Daki’s punishment if she catches someone doing as much as looking at you. The Oiran ends up forcing you to tell her everything about you, no matter how uncomfortable or private the information may be. It is her right and only she gets to know all of those things, you are forbidden to tell it anyone else. Daki is a very touchy person and you’ll soon get to notice that she literally seduces you all of the time with her experience as an Oiran. After her darling knows what she really is, she only seems to become worse in regards of all the above names traits because now you should really be aware of her superiority.

🌺Daki wouldn’t be a jealous type simply because she thinks too low and little of humans and because of her belief that she is better and stronger anyways. Once you are stuck with her in her human disguise all the time, every sane and insane person will automatically stay away because they know how the Oiran is. Sadistic and cruel to everyone who does as much as glancing at you and you get exposed to her punishing and tormenting everyone who takes your attention away from her and it might lead them to avoid others just as much for the sake of keeping them away from the menace that is known as Warabihime. If we’re talking about post-time kidnapping, her s/o never gets to interact with others since they’re stuck in one place with only her and Gyutaro around.

🌺Death is a dismissive thing for her, as a demon she doesn’t know it any other way than killing those in her way. Worst is that she gets rid of anyone who gets on her nerves even a little bit. Her Blood Demon Art is perfect when she is in her human disguise since it acts on her wishes and is able to sneak in spaces people with a normal body wouldn’t be able to fit in. She’s already known as a demise under other people since many people have committed suicide or fled because of her constant bullying. This tradition expands with you in the picture since she is even more sadistic to those who she caught with you. They’ll either get killed from her, end their own life to escape her torture or, if they’re deemed as pretty by her, they’ll get eaten whilst she mocks them and laughs at them for their stupidity.

🌺It is a fate sealed the moment she becomes aware of her growing interest in you, though she struggled through all seven stages of denial at first. A human is nothing more than a toy for her, finding out that you are more than that to her is something she can’t digest properly at first. Daki even tried to end your life, was unable to do so and so her brother was left to endure her crying and the fits she threw about how you were bullying her simply because you lit something inside of her. She’s delusional in her own entitled way. You have to make it up to her by adoring her and dedicate your life to her. Little minx, make up for her feelings by becoming her possession she’ll keep and treat well for all eternity. Away from all eyes where you can only worship and see her. It’ll happen soon, you’ll just wait. She expects you to quickly adjust to the new situation.

🌺You are being degraded to her favorite and precious doll of some sort. Her mania to control your entire life runs deeply, you’ll find yourself out in a position where she picks your clothes, what accessories you wear and what meals you’ll eat for the time you are still a human. It’s only a question of time before she’ll turn you into a demon since she wants to keep you with her for all of her life, secretly enjoys your human weakness for now though. Daki can be a very spoiling individual with the money she earns, though that only counts for the times you actually behave the way she wants you to behave in which case she suddenly becomes very joyful. Beware of her punishment though. She locks you away, doesn’t give you any way to eat, drink or clean yourself and litters your body with harsh bite marks. Her brother is tolerated next to you, even if Daki consumes most of your life for herself. She manipulates her darling on top of that if they blame her for killing people and being a monster, deflecting the guilt from her and accusing her s/o to be the one who didn’t behave.

Gyutaro

🟢He rests inside of his sister most of the time which is somehow funny and creepy to imagine since his sister becomes like this aware of his interest in you. When Daki sees you, she feels her brother suddenly becoming more active and reacting oddly intense and focused. It’s a nuisance to her, especially when her brother demands her to interrupt conversations between you and other people. He should do it himself, she has better things to do and so Gyutaro is left to do exactly that. He’s possessive as pretty much most demons are, though it’s born from different motives. Daki is used to getting what she wants and sees herself as better than others. Gyutaro knows that he looks bizarre and ugly in the eyes of a human and he has never gotten what he wanted. He has only his sister and even if he is irritated by his own feelings at first, as soon as he discovers that he is in love, he decides to never let go. And even if darling will call him a monster and view him as a hideous creature, if he slaughters everyone until only he is left they don’t have much of a choice but to accept him, don’t they?

🟢There is this brief period where he stalks his darling, begrudgingly admitting that they’re in a way rather cute, even if they’re also incredibly dumb and naive here and there. Gyutaro can’t mix in with the humans which is why he has to resort to Daki sooner than later. She refuses and both end up in an argument, in the end she ends up doing him the favor with lots of anger and mocking words being spewed out. She provides him with information Gyutaro is unable to retrieve himself and Gyutaro finds his obsession only growing because of it, he doesn’t understand it himself. The demon turns out to be interesting case of clingy and touchy himself once he has his s/o successfully in his grip. Affection is something he is not used to receive or give anyone besides his sister, his skills to interact with his darling need some serious practice and yet he seemingly can’t keep his hands away. Maybe because he thinks by forcing his affection on you, you’ll just stop resisting him or maybe because he finds himself enjoying it more than he would like to admit.

🟢Gyutaro is petty and jealous because he’s aware that he looks quite ugly and unnatural. Honestly, he finds himself envying his sister because she at least looks like a human, a beautiful one on top of that. In a way he really is just insecure about his looks because he suspects that it would be a little bit easier to have you adjust to him and the situation if he would look at least normal. There are humans who are good-looking and he loathes it when he sees you turning flustered or bashful when someone attractive gives you a compliment or smile, left to inflict self-harm on himself out of pure frustration. Aren’t you just incredibly superficial? Well, it doesn’t matter anyways. He’ll force you to accept him.

🟢I literally called him the removal type so there isn’t much to say. Every person he sees with his s/o is dead soon after by his own hands. Humans and their death have no meaning to him, he despises humans and that hatred only grows when his s/o becomes involved. You don’t have the right to cry though since it is your fault. Why do you have to be so difficult? Why do you have to be so eager to constantly annoy him by spending time with others? Are you mocking him on purpose or what? The problem is solved a bit when he abducts you since he can’t get mad over you spending time with others and smiling at them. You are still aware of the people he kills because differently than Daki he doesn’t intend to look pretty when with you, he comes sometimes back covered in blood and even eats his meals in front of you.

🟢It happens even quicker than with his sister because he doesn’t have the luxury to rely on his charms and looks. Gyutaro is aware of his ugly appearance all too much and is probably even paranoid whenever you are around handsome and attractive citizens. He tries to be gentle, can become annoyed very easily and you’ll most likely end up with a few scratches and a prominent goose egg on your head due to him not being able to regulate his strength. It’s such a spontaneous act as well and his sister was left flabbergasted when he told her what he did. She has to go along with him though, Gyutaro is stubborn and dense and even ready to threaten and scare his sister if she insults you.

🟢At his core, Gyutaro really just wants to be accepted by his darling. The way he expresses it is questionable though due to his creepy and disturbing behavior. Whenever you hurt yourself and bleed, he licks the blood and he seems to have a thing for sniffing you. His temper is not to be underestimated either and similar to Daki, he isn’t above spewing hurtful words and insults at you if you got on his nerves too much or scratched his self-confidence. He calls you stupid, dumb, weak and helpless and it might happen that he bruises you when he turns violent. Most of the time he disappears for a while to let off some steam before he can seriously harm you since he doesn’t want to damage you. Gyutaro is sadistic as well so he will have his pleasure when he resorts to the punishments where he sinks his teeth deep into your skin and leaves scars for a lifetime. He actually is sort of cautious when his darling starts being kind to him since he doesn’t believe it to be genuine and instead views it as a way to trick him, due to his sour personality darling needs a good amount of time before he would start to trust them.

10 Years Ticket rant:

I’m really not surprised a certain fandom is shitting on Tu and her character Kongkwan in 10 years ticket. Another fandom did the same thing with Tu and her character in F4.

We’ve have seen Kongkwan and her family’s reputation get ruined over a lie for the past 10 years. They have had to move, lose their jobs, switch schools, etc. Not to mention Kongkwan has been getting harassed and bullied by faculty, students, and parents at this new school and trying to force her to leave. People claiming Kongkwan is just a cry baby and acting like none of this things listed above is a reason not to be depressed and cry. Kongkwan isn’t even a cry baby she literally stands up for herself and is stern on people not bullying her out of school this time but no one seems to talk about that for some reason.

What makes this lack of empathy for Kongkwan worse is that people’s dislike for the character is now shifting to Tu herself (just like what happened in f4). People claiming Tu can’t act and that she and her character are bland which is just simply not true and just a made up excuse.

This story is about a murder, the events that led up to it, and how it’s aftermath effected several characters, their families, and their relationships with each other. The core characters are adolescent so it’s obvious their emotions/actions are gonna be more nuanced especially considering their current family dysfunctions and the trauma of a brother/best friend being murdered by another close family friend (which is a lie).

People seem to get this nuance with Phukao’s character by why isn’t this nuance and empathy extending to Kongkwan? We have seen people project their feelings about a murder on a 16 year-old girl like she’s the criminal. Having to move and switch schools constantly for 10 years because people assume you’re gonna murder them and don’t want you in their vicinity. Is that not also trauma?

Of course Phukao is understandably angry, ostracized, lonely, confused, depressed, lost, etc. He has every right to feel the way he does but some of his actions towards Kongkwan are just wrong. Phukao even knows he’s wrong because he feels sorry for how is treats and talks to Kongkwan and tries to apologize after.

Phukao chooses to engage with Kongkwan when he gets into his emotions in the spur of the moment. Like in ep6 going to her house after finding the book or in ep4 snatching brother uncle from her. If Phukao wanted he could simply pretend like Kongkwan doesn’t exist, not engage her, ignore her, not speak, or look at her. Clearly he gets angry when he sees her so why even give her his energy. Kongkwan hasn’t approached Phukao first cause she understands he’s not fond of her presence at school and doesn’t want to further upset him.

It’s obvious Phukao’s anger is misplaced on Kongkwan. She has personally not done anything to hurt him or his brother. Her family was just as blindsided by the murder as was his. Both families have been reaping the repercussions of the murder but is different ways. Phukao is angry Kongkwan’s familial bonds have been less detrimental than his. It’s clear Phukao wishes he and Kongkwan were like they used to but that’s clouded by her connection to his familial trauma. It also doesn’t help Plu and Zo family’s chose not to choose sides and remain friends with both after the murder.

I think most of peoples’s problem with this show is it’s style and genre. 10 Years Ticket is at its core a typical melodramatic Thai soap/lakorn. All the archetypes, tropes, drama, plot devices, etc are relatively standard. What the show has done well so far is portraying the complexities and nuances of a group of adolescent friends with various family dysfunctions cope after a tragedy. None of these four friends are terrible human beings. They’re teenagers still trying to figure out life, school, romance and friendship while simultaneously suffering from shared trauma and familial dysfunction. Their emotions are often times intense and unregulated which leads to poor and unfavorably decisions. These teens aren’t black/white or good/bad. They’re way more complex, deep and interesting than that.

I’ll end this saying that if you’re dogpiling and relentlessly shitting on any of the core teen characters (Phukao, Kongkwan, Plu, or Zo) then I fear you’ve really missed the point of the show. These complex teens are riddled with trauma and dysfunction so they ALL deserve grace and empathy.

P.S.: Some (a lot) of the hate Kongkwan (Tu) and Zo (View) get is just misogyny and unhealthy Parasocial relationships with bl actors

Favorite Characters:

Wei Wuxian: he’s smart, quick on his feet, a genius in his field, charming, a good person, innocent in love, strong in his morals, willing to fight for what he believes in and what is right even if it makes him enemy to all, has faith in himself, doesn’t shrink away from his emotions, unwilling to delude himself to reality even if it looks bleak, etc etc; he is literally the perfect protagonist in every single way

Lan Wangji: perfect compliment to wwx; they match each other so well in most of the things I listed for wwx but replace the “charming” with “takes no shit” and we got a winner

3, 4, and 5 (in no particular order). Wen Qing, Jiang Yanli, and a-Qing: I know people like to call mxtx misogynistic because “she kills off women!” and “they’re not main characters!” but I would argue that 1) that’s dumb because most of the characters we are introduced to in mdzs are already dead and 2) mxtx writes her female characters as people rather than props. I was enamored with these characters at their every appearance, however short, because they felt so real and expressive. I could get personality and motives, tell what they’d like and what would piss them off, come to enjoy them so much that I felt pain knowing they were already gone. This is the skill of mxtx’s writing.

hi yes this is incredibly late b/c work is shit tm but better late than never amirite

anyway, something about this chapter that leapt out at me immediately was Maki’s “uh, we are kids.” because i’m pretty sure something similar was said a couple chapters back (i can’t remember the exact instance though) and it seems to be a recurring theme in tpg: people being put into roles they don’t quite fill, not through any fault of their own, but simply because they cannot. gojo’s deification by jujutsu society is one such example, but it wasn’t something he had a say in, while nobara by comparison appears to have voluntarily taken on the task of acting(!) like an adult. she does, thankfully, end up joining maki & gang on the playground, but her conversation with higuruma undoes some of that progress:

“You treat me like a kid!”

“You are a kid!”

“And that’s enough reason to shut me out?!”

oh, higuruma… your intentions are kind, but your lack of tact is almost cruel. i think nobara’s response, coupled with the next line (“…brought a cannon and she’s not afraid to swim”) are very telling of her true feelings: even though she hates the fact that higuruma’s a murderer excluding the fact that his boss is worse, she is aware that he’s her parental figure now, and seeks (as all children do, especially those who were denied of it) emotional validation from him. higuruma really tried to pull the “being a child is not a sin” card but nobara didn’t hear the ‘not’ part lol. i find it depressingly ironic that his attempt at shielding her from the ugly truth of humanity & the entire mess with the sheriff end up widening the rift between them—it’s not… a terrible idea, in theory, but their circumstances are unique: nobara’s trying to understand & rationalise why the person she’s stuck with as a father did what he did, but she can’t do that if she’s missing some of the puzzle pieces. more accurately, higuruma won’t give them to her because the picture they complete is bleak, but she doesn’t know that!!!!

“I don’t know, Nobara. You deserve better than this.”

“You’re right, I do! But you won’t even try!”

… yeah sure kugisaki “you’re not my dad” nobara. and then, as if on cue, her phone rings with a call from her actual dad. the way she has to fight the urge to answer the call is nothing short of heartbreaking. she has to quash her own hopes, before her dad does it for her.

AAANDD THEN THEY HUGGED. THANK YOU FOR THIS. the part where higuruma wonders whether he’s about to be socked in the face reminded me of toji and maki’s hug in ch4 (yes i remembered), cus toji thought the exact same question. is this intentional please say yes. nevermind your answer is irrelevant i’m gonna start drawing parallels anyway /lh. toji & higuruma both start out extremely rough around the edges and knowing fuck all about parenting; maki & nobara both grew up with parents that didn’t love them. at least maki & toji had something to bond over (beating the shit out of other people. uh, curses. i mean curses.) nobara and higuruma on the other hand…….. lol

Also I didn’t miss the way Nobara was saved from a curse!!!! again!!!!! but the group shrugs it off, you know, as kids who literally just exorcised a curse by themselves do, and nobara’s too preoccupied with her crush on maki to feel all that offended. okay all jokes aside i think it really helps that they’re her age + she’s already interacted with them prior to this; she’s in a much better mental state than when higuruma first found her. i think it’s really cool that nobara has even more people fighting for her, which is exactly what she wants; she just hasn’t realised it, and i hope she does someday. (on an unrelated note: gotta love how maki takes centre stage and cleaves the curse in half though… her using yuuji’s sword as a platform to power herself thru the air is just 👌)

Does Nobara have anyone like that?

Chi you’re drawing so many parallels here and I’m gonna throttle you. please don’t pit higuruma against a special grade…unless it’s toji, that’d be funny. who lets their kid bring a sword to school anyway?? tbf, it’s Phantom Guardian; i adore the idea that yuki’s cursed energy is with her, at all times…

btw yuuji is my fave if the pfp wasn’t obvious enough, and i cherish every crumb of his characterisation i get. i love the way he’s able to de-escalate any social situation because of how emotionally perceptive he is. kinda want to put him in a room with yuuta and maki and see what happens lmfao 💀💀

you're totally right that "uh, we are kids" was said in an earlier chapter! maki says it to megumi when toji gives the kiddos the stuffed animals he got for them at the zoo, and maki suggests they play with them:

megumi is another child who had to grow up way too fast before gojo took him in, and now has to make up for lost time that he doesn't know quite yet how to reclaim. it's so cool you noticed this parallel between them, because it's gonna be super important in the upcoming chapter!!

it's so true that all of the tpg kids (and initial teenagers that are now in their low twenties) had some aspect of childhood taken away from them. isolated from the villagers, nobara tried to shed her own childlike qualities because she thought she had no choice but to take care of herself, especially because of the yet-to-be-revealed circumstances of her parents' disappearance.

and god....yeah, higuruma really has no idea how to handle that. i've said it before and i'll say it again: it's so, so important to me that he's genuinely terrible at this. he's the pinnacle of right idea, wrong execution: he wants to fix the ills of society but does it in the worst possible way, and he wants to shield nobara from how dark and terrible the world is by telling her she's just incapable of understanding it altogether. he doesn't want her to know all the pointless cruelty in the world. he doesn't want her to know he killed the sheriff to free her from the countryside. higuruma shutting her out is his way of protecting her, but the way he carries out his protection almost does more harm than good. almost.

PLEASE THEIR HUG....you're not delusional to draw that parallel between nobara & higuruma and maki & toji!! nobara and maki are the two tpg kids that have the most on-screen clashes with their parents, yet despite their initial doubts towards their parental figures, they still crave that emotional validation. after a lifetime of being shunned, finally, someone cares about them -- only nobara is half-convinced higuruma doesn't. i think some part of her does know he cares, but it's a part she refuses to acknowledge because she doesn't want to be let down by her father. not again.

nobara's confrontation with the curse was so!!!!! i really wanted to follow up with yuuta telling maki that nobara cares more about actions than words, so maki demonstrates her sorcery abilities rather than just saying it. maki's words post-fight, however, do end up having an impact on nobara: she's able to correct any misconceptions before nobara even has the chance to draw them. this will also be important as nobara's character develops!!

maki carrying the phantom guardian with her stems a lot from toji's desire for her to be able to protect herself, even in his absence. especially after the kids meet mahito in shibuya back in ch12, both nanami and toji don't want their kiddos to be unarmed, hence why yuuji also has playful cloud stuffed into his backpack.

YUUJI MY CHILD. MY SON. his emotional intelligence + crumbs that he blames himself for his family's doom even though it hasn't even happened yet. the first yuuji angst moment of many, many, MANY more

as for higuruma vs some special grade where he'd have to hurt himself in order to protect nobara...huh. yeah. sure would be interesting if that happened someday

[The Moment That You Knew :: What CNN’s disastrous town hall showed us.]

Even the folks at CNN seemed to recognize how bad it was. “It’s hard to see how America was served by the spectacle of lies that aired on CNN Wednesday evening,” Oliver Darcy, the network’s senior media reporter wrote in CNN’s Reliable Sources newsletter. “It felt like 2016 all over again. It was Trump’s unhinged social media feed brought to life on stage.”

But let’s be clear about this: last night was not Kaitlan Collins’s fault. The decision to amplify Trump’s firehose of disinformation on live television doomed the whole thing from start. As Mehdi Hasan writes today, the “ridiculous town hall format and an audience seemingly recruited ‘from the Mar-a-Lago parking lot’, put its own anchor in a position to fail.”

Her bosses at CNN should have known that, but they made it clear last night that they had learned nothing. Or simply didn’t care.

Increasingly, Chris Licht is to CNN what Elon Musk is to Twitter.

The network’s defenses for all of this are bullsh*t on the surface. Of course, CNN needs to “cover” and report on the frontrunning GOP candidate. He’s news.

But this was not journalism we saw on CNN last night: this was entertainment programming, the kind of reality television show that did so much to foist Trump onto the body politic. He owned last night’s format.

In a different format, Collins could have performed a flagrant act of journalism. She could have done an in-depth taped interview with the former president, the sort that Jonathan Swan has done. She could have been given the chance to ask detailed follow-up questions, like Mehdi Hasan might do. CNN could have edited the responses, rather than simply air one lie after another.

Instead, well, you saw it… (via Rex Hupke):

Sexual abuse, like the kind a jury just found Trump liable of? That’s a laugh line for these folks. Literally. They laughed during CNN’s town hall as Trump continued to likely defame E. Jean Carroll, the woman he was just found liable of defaming.

The Jan. 6 domestic terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol? Trump said he’ll swiftly pardon most of the now-imprisoned attackers, possibly even some of the Proud Boys who were convicted of seditious conspiracy, because they’re “great people.” And that brought applause from the crowd.

A rat-a-tat-tat string of lies about the “rigged election”? The crowd chuckled.

A lie about “finishing” the border wall he barely started? You know, the one Mexico didn’t pay for. The crowd applauded.

Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie. Laugh, applaud, chuckle, clap, cheer.

This was the moment we knew.

We knew who Trump was of course. But last night showed us who we are and what’s about to happen. This is the GOP frontrunner.

He is still the star who can do anything. And it will get worse.

“Listen,” wrote author Jared Yates Sexton, “if this town hall is any indication, and I think it is, the Trump Campaign of 2024 is going to be infinitely more disturbing and upsetting. I've spent a lot of time studying this man and his movement. I'm stunned by the depths here. This is . . . awful.”

Kaia Gerber has her Bottoms movie coming out and here feels like a safe space to vent.

1. She’s the worst working actress in Hollywood.

2. Her insane fans ::cough:: Mollie ::cough:: have been defending that “maybe she will get better.” Nobody who isn’t a nepo baby gets to literally destroy a tv show and do the worst work ever in every other project they’re cast in only to keep getting chances. It’s an insult to injury for all of the out of work actors Kaia keeps taking roles from who can’t pay bills DESPITE THAT THEY ARE GOOD ACTORS. It’s like defending a doctor who killed people on their first day on the job bc they didn’t understand medicine and rooting for them to improve over not being meant to do that job. And it’s classist AF to take Kaia’s side over the more blue collar actors who don’t have the connections. 🙄

3. Kaia has yet to join the picket lines. So many famous people have bc they actually care. Instead she’s has having a grand old summer going to Taylor Swift, traveling, and so forth bc she isn’t hurting bc of the strike. She can pay bills still; others can’t. The only thing worse than a nepo baby who can’t act taking jobs away from talented actors who keeps getting more chances is a nepo baby who does not give an eff that other people are out of work bc of the strikes and genuinely struggling. It’s beyond out of touch and lacks so much empathy and self awareness.

4. Kaia Gerber is too rich to hang out with the peasants who need to picket, but is calling the paparazzi and going to Nobu. Coincidentally these dumb hike and pap walk/Nobu pics are all the week before the Bottoms release. Hmmmmm. Can’t do promo without being a scab, but suddenly after laying low for weeks Kaia suddenly is in the UK Daily mail every day for literally doing nothing but walking. Hmm. Can’t drum up press by striking? Would rather look glamorous at a celebrity hot spot instead? 5. I’m ALL for lesbian representation movies. I would support Bottoms. But a) I’m not a fan of crass/blue/bloody humor after having my fill of those kinds of movies from the decade or so prior. So…pass. B) I could overlook that to support gay women but…Kaia. I’m not supporting her 10 millionth chance to attempt something that resembles a human while acting and the only way to vote is to vote with your dollars. I’m not voting for Kaia and I encourage others who feel the same to stay home and not even hate watch this movie. This airplane reads book club reading, clout chasing, talentless woman needs to be humbled.

Do not watch Bottoms. Blame Kaia for it. Thank you.

Anon I salute you, this was awesome. The girl cannot act, she refuses to acknowledge that she has privilege from nepotism and thinks it doesn't apply to her, she steals these jobs away from hardworking actors that want a job, she doesn't give a hoot about the strike in reality because she can simply go back to modeling whenever it suits her and she can pay her bills, and i will never watch Bottoms so all is good :)

Not even with just Jonathan. El violently reacts to her abuser the same way Billy fights when he feels cornered or threatened by anyone other than Neil and literally how Max acts the same exact way, reacting physically and verbally threatening with a promise of violence if he didn’t comply. Literally the only reason people hate Billy so much is because they latched on to a line that implied “racism” and instead of understanding that Billy and Max both repeat Neil’s abusive language and behaviors, they just warp that perception and make it Billy’s entire personality that he was just a racist bigot. They are all victims and at some points they are all responding to it in unhealthy ways, they are children with no resources to heal that trauma because it’s literally set in the 80s and that wasn’t something that was talked about and there weren’t the kind of resources there are in todays time.

Billy was screwed from the beginning because he went after a main character. Period. Someone said it before but no matter who in the party he went after, the fandom would’ve found a way to blow it out of proportion and make it so that it was coming from some bigoted place (and maybe y’all should reflect on why the writers need to take it to such a dark place when there’s literally a million reasons to want to beat up these kids. Live action little mermaid was Good 7/10 yeah! I feel like it was probably one of the better live action Disney remakes. For Sure.

Sebastian was like a weird half baked cheezit that you find at the bottom of the box and they didn’t go all in with his voice or his design. It left so much to be desired. I desire him carnally. He’s like a 6/10 sebastion. How do you make Sebastian mid. ITS FINE.

They turned Scuttle into Amethyst Steven Universe . (👍) In her introduction she dived and ate a fish which is Messed Up. What if Flounder KNEW that fish personally and she just fucking killed it. That’s literally the equivalent of eating a person to him

She also had like a rap battle with Sebastian for some reason like they Really wanted to push that they’re sooo silly and you should like them . Okay

Under the sea song. Sebastian’s voice left a lot to be desired but it’s ok I guess.. I do not remember seeing so many invertebrates and strange sea animals in the original. like they had feather starfish and sea slugs and ribbon worms and jellyfish dancing around. It was Totally Awesome and I Loved it but not many fish?? LOL but yes this was my favorite sequence :) visually.

THINGS I LIKED.

I haven’t watched the original little mermaid in years or maybe not At All but I still knew the main plot points. They made prince Eric better. He no longer simply exists. We got prince Eric lore. His dog was also a perfect cast. Great dog. Good boy. Very cute dog. Really good dog & the dog was great. Wish there was more of the dog.

URSULA WAS AWESOME AS EXPECTED. Hard to mess her up. I wish I could’ve seen more of her giant form at the end they kind of shrouded her in darkness and CGI sad face. Great acting though and her song was SO good. Kinda sexo but don’t tell anyone I sa

CONCLUSION. they did a couple things right! (And it could’ve been worse!) but I enjoyed it more than I expected :) I will not give every live action remake this benefit of the doubt.

👁️ 🤥 😭 😨 🍓 and 💐 for Tipha!

👁️ EYE - what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical…)?

Tipha has brown eyes with reddish undertones! They’re pretty similar in color to Hilbert’s, who inherited his eyes from his father (though with how his mother never talked about the man, it’s not like he’d know that). I don’t think people usually notice her eyes as standing out for their appearance, but she does have a mean glare and people definitely notice that. Tipha has the type of eyes you can feel looking at you even if you can’t see them. Because of her dragon heritage, she has preternatural night vision and so her eyes reflect light off of them in the dark, which is definitely spooky for most people who don’t expect it. Otherwise, they don’t glow or anything like that even when she’s using magic (which she rarely does anyways).

🤥 LYING - are they good liars? do they have tells to show they’re lying?

Tipha is a horrible liar. She can bs her way through half truths and misdirection easily enough, but when it comes to outright lying she’s very obvious about it, the most obvious tell being that the only time she fidgets is when lying. She avoids it whenever she can since she finds lying morally objectionable, so when she does lie it literally makes her squirm.

😭 CRYING - what makes them cry? do they cry easily?

Tipha doesn’t cry easily and when she does, it’s usually restrained to silent tears and heavy breathing rather than full on sobs. She usually cries most easily when extremely angry or frustrated, but this was mostly when she was a child. Things like homework or being treated unfairly by Euphie or her peers that worked her up would often result in tears accompanied by raising her voice and escalating instability (and when she was even younger, a full on tantrum). Once she’s a teenager, she tries to avoid getting to that point or furiously holding back tears when she feels them building since she finds it childish and embarrassing for her to cry out of anger. Of course, this also makes her temper a bit scarier, since anger without tears implies more fury than the frustration she showed with angry tears. (She is also not immune to crying from reading sad moments in books, though she denies this.)

😨 FEARFUL - when scared, do they go into “flight” or “fight”?

Instant “fight”. Hands down. Tipha is a “throw a punch first, apologize later” when caught off guard type of person. She wants to go down fighting if it comes to it, especially if it means protecting others. But this instinct comes at the cost of her own self-preservation a lot of the time. She’ll push aside all of her fear to act in dangerous situations, but can sometimes make things worse in the process, especially since she’s usually not thinking straight when cornered and simply reacting. (In that sense, she and Gavin are very similar, I’m picturing that meme of the person trying to block a bullet for another, but then the other person wraps around them to block instead and it just keeps going like that haha). 

🍓 STRAWBERRY - do they eat their fruit & veg? what is their favourite fruit or vegetable?

Tipha comes from a mostly vegetarian family, so she loves her fruit and veg! It’s also very important for her to eat healthily to keep up with her exercise regime, so she takes her diet very seriously, planning out her meals to be all balanced. She has a preference for crunchy fruits and vegetables, with strong flavors finding them satisfying to eat - her favorite fruits are melons and melon-like berries (especially Spelon berries!), and her favorite vegetables are radishes!

💐 BOUQUET - create a bouquet for them! what do those flowers mean? are any of the flowers their particular favourite?

Chamomile for energy in adversity.

Laurel for ambition and renown. (Her favorite!)

Goldenrod for encouragement.

Gorse for anger.

Angelica for inspiration.

And for some filler between the flowers: Foxtail Grass for sporting.
