Hi I have a question I was curious what you thought about the episodes about Jack the Ripper episodes 3-6? And about the anime season 1 and 2 and the other series? Thank you for answering the question
Dear Anon,
In general I am not quite positive about any animated rendition of ‘Kuroshitsuji’, so if you’re interested in reading my mostly negative opinion, please proceed ^^
TL:DR
Season 1 - Ep. 3-6 - Personal rating: 2/10
Season 1 General - Personal rating: 3/10
Season 2 - Personal rating: N.A.
Book of Circus - Personal rating: 8/10
Book of Murder - Personal rating: 8/10
Book of the Atlantic - Personal rating 6.5/10
Season 1 - Episodes 3 - 6
Personal rating: 2/10
I personally despise the anime version of the Jack the Ripper arc because of multiple reasons.
1. The manga portrayal of Grell in that arc wasn’t great to begin with, but it was the anime that ultimately caused many people to believe Grell is a psychopathic gay, crossdressing man. The heavily gay-coded visuals (both manga and anime) alone of course were already pointing to Grell being a flamboyant male, but the additional gay-coded voice to her may have been what delivered the ultimate blow. Because anime is voiced, it often leaves a more lasting impression on people.
2. it’s not just for Grell’s portrayal. I also despised how the anime basically signal-boosted the corset scene that presented the sexualisation of a 12 year old as something that is part of a serious murder investigation. And when the sexual tension was later denied by showing ‘it was just a corset’, it was supposed to be ‘a comedic tease’ rather than a major sigh of relief.
Tumblr media
Yes, it was just the faithful portrayal of canon. I am not saying the manga is less guilty; I am saying that the anime signal-boosted these two very harmful things without explicit warning.
Season 1 in General
Personal rating: 3/10
The good things:
In general the first season did have some fairly nice parts, hence the marginally higher personal rating. I quite liked the scene where anime!Sebastian shoved the visitor into the oven (+1pt) , for example. And I also liked the adaptation of the mini arc where O!Ciel was kidnapped by the mafia. (+1pt)
The finale makes little sense, but I did like the charm and atmosphere it delivered. I understood that the 24 episode series had to deviate from the canon storyline in order to tell a whole story within so few episodes.
The season finale managed to bring an ending that befits the theme of ‘Kuroshtisuji’: a suitably dark, ominous conclusion of a demon receiving the payment for his part of the contract. The choice of only showing Sebastian closing in on his prey from 1st person perspective before the screen blacking out was fantastic. It really reminded me as a viewer that in the end, I am but a helpless human; that regardless of what we may think Sebastian is, the last we’ll see of him is him being a predator to his prey. (+1pt)
Tumblr media
The… not so good things.
Curry bread shuriken? (-1pt) The child king and prince arc? (-1pt) Pluto? (-1pt) **Angela/Ash!? (-2pt) The reaper library? (-1 pt. What was it even trying to achieve?). Ruining the most epic revelation of our protagonist’s arch enemy and spoiling the manga!?!?!?! (-1pt)
**They wanted to portray the genderlessness of angels, and so they decided to…. make this angel bi-gender in the loosest sense of the word? And then there is the EXPLICIT intention of giving Angela small breasts… because she can’t be “too much of a woman” (their actual words). PSA to women with small breasts!! Hear that!? You’re not too much of a woman!!
The rest is self explanatory.
Season 2 in General
Personal rating: N.A.
I deny its existence. If this season had existed, I would have said it took everything I hated about season 1, amplified them multi-fold, and… shoved all of those ingredients into a worse context. It ruined the significance of the S1 finale, and shoehorned ‘reasssssonsss’ to insert the new characters.
Also… apparently a contract now is as binding as a pinky swear between toddlers?
Tumblr media
Also, I’d like to add how even both voice actors of the two demons hated it.
Ono Daisuke (Sebastian) was asked for his opinion of season 2, and he said that: “even I, Sebastian, learned of new sides of this character that I never expected to see”. Sakurai Takahiro (Claude) in turn, was asked why he thought they cast him for this role, to which he replied: “because he wears glasses, just like me. I think it’s called the glasses-casting-method.”
Book of Circus
Personal rating: 8/10
The animation itself felt quite static, but it was nice to finally see something animated almost perfectly faithfully to canon. The voice actors poured in so much more life and passion, and the cinematic record of Joker was very powerful.
Book of Murder
Personal rating: 8/10
I liked it, and the soundtrack chosen for these OVAs were great and fitted the theme perfectly. The animation, just like BoC, was quite static, but otherwise it is faithful to canon and represented the atmosphere quite well. First when Jeremy was introduced in the manga, many people really had no clue that he was Sebastian; the result of theories flying around in the fandom was quite nice.
In the anime, because Jeremy’s eyes were red, and because Ono Daisuke has a rather distinct voice, it was almost an instant giveaway to people who didn’t read the manga. But it’s fine. Ono Daisuke pulled everything out of his sleeve, and it was charming.
The French. I loved hating it. I don’t think I could have done a better job, but I loved hating it. French speakers out there, what did you think? ( ´艸`)
Book of Atlantic
Personal rating: 6.5/10
I actually didn’t like it a lot, even though I went to the cinema for it THRICE!(σ^罒^)σ━━━!!
The good things:
Even though I didn’t really like the addition of the Double Charles, I did like love how they inserted a burn by Sebas at Grey’s expense. I think it was a wonderful re-introduction of Trash Demon™ being the salty prick he is, and how it tied back to the events of BoM.
The soundtrack designed for the movie was also great in my opinion, and the scene where Lizzie revealed herself was very touching. Me and many in the cinema were sobbing like babies, and the times that I went with people who don’t read the manga were also great, because they shock on their faces was ART.
Finally, I really liked how they concluded the story with everyone on the rescue ship. It really gave this very nice feeling of the survival of a big adventure.
The bad things:
The number 1 sin has to be how they trimmed Sebastian’s cinematic record, even though that is easily the biggest highlight of the Campania Arc. HOW COULD THEY!? ヽ(`Д´💢)ノ
The second thing is the ATROCIOUS animation. For the anime I understand why it would have limited budget, but the movie though? The movie was marketed SO big! some city buses in the city where I lived at the time wore the BotA skin! All Animates were PLASTERED with commercial for the movie… and then… this ⇊. I think EVERYONE agreed the CGI was jarring at least, and turned something so threatening into something nobody could take seriously.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This ⇊ was not necessarily bad animation, just a very dubious choice that I personally find quite tacky.
Tumblr media
The third thing is - like I said before - the insertion of Double Charles who didn’t seem to add anything to the story. The time that went to their screentime could much better be spent on Sebas’ cinematic record.
Welp, that was all! Thank you for reading my rant!!! What did you guys think of the animated adaptations?

Ok so maybe I shouldn’t call this Weekly Wednesday Reflections anymore since I’m terrible at writing it in time 🤷🏻‍♀️ granted it is Wednesday...just a week late 😅
I’m pretty sure this is my new favorite Ellick episode. After rewatching it, I’m just so- happy with it. From exploring Ellie’s range of emotions and character depth to the progress we saw in their relationship just 🥰
The opening scene already gives us SO MUCH. First, they jog as the cutest freaking married couple I’ve ever seen and this certainly is a routine because they knew to target him here. But Nick teasing her by sprinting, her struggling to keep up but giggling with each other because clearly it’s not the first time he does that little speed up thing & she’s working on getting faster because she used to hate training for marathons like- can you NOT. My heart can’t take the implications, ALSO Gibbs & McGee didn’t bat an eye that they just so happened to be jogging together in the early morning (everyone was only just leaving their house on their morning commute) so they know it’s their routine too and don’t even question it. GAH.
Flashforward to hospital scene with Ellie breaking my heart slowly. She’s clearly been crying by the red rimmed eyes, and yet also trying to hold it together to be strong for Nick & so she does the only thing she knows how to do since feelings scare her and the love of her life Nick just got hit. Ellie’s logical brain takes over as she does best (see 16x18 for reference) - when she’s dealing with emotions, all she can do is her job, it’s all that makes sense in the monsoon of feelings. She’s going to analyze every last bit of the hit & run and immediately parrot it back so that *something* can be done right away and she can find justice for Nick. She doesn’t care about her own health- just justice for Nick. And in that same vein, she doesn’t want to eat, she doesn’t want to rest, she doesn’t want to sit down until she knows Nick is okay (I’m sorry but to have a CODE NAME from the nurses because they feel the need to run from you- can you say “Crazy Worried Wife™️”??)
Kasie is our new captain, it has been decided. (I think this was already decided but I’m making an official decree) Her probing McGee to see his reaction because girl knows why Bishop is taking it harder, please. Then laughing it off for McGee, “we all gon need therapy if those two ever hook up” while thinking *boy you better stop denying because you KNOW they hooking up after this shit* is just 🙌🏼 the outright addressing of Ellick by the show- thank youuuuu.
Ok and now begins the Ellie show. Excuse me, the BADASS BISHOP SHOW. (Also why I’m partial to this being my fave ep). First- girl does not know how to holster her gun. Ellie: “you say there’s a tiny lead” *cocks gun* “let’s go” I’m herrrrrre for it. She’s blunt with everyone, she doesn’t care when Gibbs gives her the look, she don’t take no SHIT in interrogation. “You’d have to be [creative]” had me cry-ing 😭😭😭 AND THEN her equivalent of cursing out Vance over Nick, followed up by freaking out in the bullpen had me breaking on my couch. YES ELLIE GET IT is what I believe I chanted. The stare off, oh lordy. Y’all I was sweating I was pissed for her. Just the raw emotion in her eyes, the constant holding back tears and tears I just- 😭💔 and emojis don’t do it justice. I wanted soooo bad for her to land a sweet, sweet punch like she did with Victor, but knowing a second offense unprovoked wouldn’t go over too well, she held back. But aaaahh that scene was SO heartbreaking. And then, and THEN Ellie standing there gazing at his desk- oof. Her body language was key- her crossed arms, holding herself literally together so she doesn’t break?? She wants to break, y’all. She wants to break. Staying strong for Nick is the only thing getting her through.
When Gibbs sends her to be at the hospital because THE WHOLE DAMN TEAM KNOWS, I did a happy dance. McGee encouraging her but almost pulse-checking Gibbs after was very very intriguing. Gibbs’ “He’s a fighter” followed by McGee’s pulse-check, “so is Bishop...” and Gibbs’ exasperated look off towards the elevator and admission of agreement says SO MUCH. First- McGee is worried about not only Nick, but his sister, Ellie. He knows how much Qasim’s death hurt her, knows what she went through after- WHICH TIME OUT. For anyone saying this episode was OOC for Ellie? Sit the hell down and go watch 14x16. Then come back. Then continue reading. Ok resume WWR- McGee also knows how much more Torres means to her, he may try to deny it, but he knows. Implying Bishop is a fighter, obviously not about her health because *she’s fine* but more about what she’d do out of revenge. (And the man doesn’t even know Bishop is about to say she’s gonna kill him) Gibbs’ already sees himself a little in her, recognizing the same feeling he experienced with Shannon many years ago- hence the completive look on his face & heavy sigh. He knows he’ll have to revisit Rule 12 soon (but also in his mind he’s basically already burned it like Rule 10).
Speaking of Ellie saying she’s going to kill him, please see this excerpt from my notes during the ep: “FUCK YES BISHOP - the emotions!!!!!!!” That basically sums up how I felt the entire scene & commercial break afterward 🤷🏻‍♀️😂😂 My reaction when it came back? KILL HIM. But like in all seriousness, her face- holy shit going from on the verge of tears when they rolled Nick away to calculating her next move as McGee’s talking to her to making up her mind that she will be committing murder (please, girl already planned it & is just deciding which lipstick to wear during it at this point). Emily Wickersham is an amazing actress and I don’t care what you have to say. And yes, McGee trying to calm her down in a big brother way is adorable, but Ellie not having it is great. “Torres doesn’t get a say” is such a Nick thing to do of her 😭 Remember Luis going off on his own, yeah- this is Ellie’s version because she wants to & her husband is rubbing off on her. Oh also, the office she refers to? Totally means Ziva’s office at Odette’s - “if we missed something, I’ll find it there.” Hmmmm sounds eerily similar to *why* Ziva had that office in the first place, doesn’t it 🤔 also explains the lack of her on HQ’s logs and her “going home” excuse— which by the way, her shrugging them all off? Suspect Bishop, suspect. Her trying to play it all off with a wry laugh, not gonna lie, I love it. Her “too late” to Gibbs is quite interesting though- she sees herself going down that path any way, because she killed him? Or because she triggered a chain of events that will lead to it? Or because she may not have killed him, but lord knows she wanted to & planned it down to every last detail? Like I said, interesting.
Ok side note: Jack suggesting taking her off duty kinda pisses me off - with the spiraling comment too. She got to spiral when that guy from her past came & it screwed with her psyche, why the f can’t Bishop? It just rubbed me the wrong way, but I don’t hate Jack (don’t @ me, people.)
Back to Badass Bishop Show. She literally always has her gun out now. Just walking to the penthouse again where they didn’t try anything last time, *cocks gun.* When Gibbs comes up and tells her Nick is away 😩 Her relief though in the fact that he’s asking about her and he’s hungry (Ellie rubbing off on him, you can’t tell me I’m wrong) to go to the kicking down the door because that’s what her baby does so therefore she kicks down doors now- the parallels & the influence 😭😭
THE BATHROOM SCENE. McGee like seriously? You actually killed him?? And Gibbs like “oh fuck here we go again.” And then Jimmy had me dyinggggg. Theory alert: I really think Ellie (maybe Gibbs went with her & they’re helping each other with alibis/cover up??) went to kill him but got there after it had happened, that’s why she’s a little cagey about it- not that she *actually* killed the guy. BUT reference 14x16 again, I wouldn’t put it past her.
The final hospital bed scene has my heart. Ellie is so relieved and just so happy and open (but also a little nervous about what happens next so she hides a touch of her emotions, can’t let him see alllll of her heart now can we)- going back to their teasing ways, “worst pretend sleeper”, “next time jump out of the way” - UGH so cute. Side note, they use last names here almost similarly to the submarine episode. When shit gets scary real for them, it’s their way of grounding themselves almost, trying to hide just how much that incident actually affected them. They both do it & yes, it frustrates the hell out of me, but at the same time shows me just how much they care for the other 😭 BUT this time!! Nick made it take a serious turn, and I think Ziva finally got through to him- that sentence “cause you know I risked my life to save yours” is more him openly saying like oh shit I really did that 1. to himself and 2. to finally take that next baby step in their relationship. The emotion behind it showing her it wasn’t just because they’re partners- he wanted her to know that for sure, to make sure he didn’t just make light of it & glaze over it. He needed it out there in the universe that he Nicholas Torres, of sixteen different identities & no family, nothing to live for anymore, would rather DIE- than see Ellie in harms way. He needed it to be tangible for himself AND for her. Because this is growth, this is not what most people think of when they think of him.
And Ellie’s response: the look, hesitation building up courage, and making that first move of physical touch speaks VOLUMES about Ellie at this point. Not only does she take hold of his hand, but she rubs it in a soothing gesture. As if she needs to confirm for herself he’s really there, he’s really alive. The struggle she went through, the turmoil- wasn’t all for not. It’s her saying “I know” not just to the fact that she was joking earlier, she knows he risked his life & she’s grateful for that, but she knows it was more than because they’re just partners, more than just best friends even. That first move is her saying “I know” and “I might be ready to open up & let you in to the walls that surround my heart because the last time I was in a hospital staring at someone I loved, it didn’t turn out the same. Except this time, it took the hospital trip to really bring that into focus, and I know I can’t let that happen again.” Aaaaaaand catch me sobbing in the corner, it’s fine. I’m fine.
Nick’s reaction speaks volumes from him too, his slight shock to Ellie reciprocating & making that first move with his soft smile that is hinted at across his face to show he knows she’s letting him peak in, just a little, and that’s a start. A start people!!!
Last notes: Gibbs being such a dad and defending Nick liking his fireplace is the cutest. Vance was eager to get out of there at the end- his contacts are very very suspicious... And on that note, I really do not think it was Gibbs. I think Gibbs and Bishop may have gotten there after it happened with the purpose of doing something, so now they’re covering for each other, but I do not think it was either of them.
Pretty sure this is officially my longest review to date, WHOOPS. If you made it this far, congrats & thanks for staying with my inner ramblings 🙃 Like I said- my favorite episode so farrrrrr (now let’s see if we get anything AFTER this episode......lol I got jokes 😅).

Season 11: What’s worth watching
This is the second of 3 installments (season 10, season 11, season 12) because I think 13 and 14 are worth watching fully **I personally LOVED season 14, I haven’t loved one that much since season 5** && plus, this way you can watch the very final season of Supernatural without being confused!
Thanks to @longkissgoodnightbatmanandtwofac for asking me to do this. I actually really enjoyed it <3
Season 10 HERE
Season 11
Ep. 1 is… eh. I feel like you have to watch it, since it introduces you to ‘The Darkness.’
Ep. 2 isn’t worth watching in my opinion. The angels still have Cas/torturing him for info - they say he’s not their brother because he’s always picking the Winchesters over heaven (duh… you’re just now figuring this out??). We meet the new “Death” which is pretty important - her name is Billy, and she has it out for the boys. Promises that the next time they die, she’ll be the one to reap them, and they won’t be coming back. Baby Amara is going crazy/eating souls. They do the angel needle-in-the-head brain hacking thing to Cas, but then he escapes, kills them, goes to the bunker. And Crowley steals Amara to raise as his own.
Ep. 3 You don’t need to watch this either. Rowena is recruiting witches, Cas is at the bunker still dealing with his curse (boys helping him), they have to keep the poor guy chained up because they can’t control his curse/reactions yet. ** Cas is super adorable all cuddled up in his blanket that Dean’s always wrapping him up with. Amara is a kid now (like 9 or 10ish yo). Crowley is feeding her souls and giving her an education (basically watching hitler speeches and shit like that). Rowena cures Cas.
The last 5 minutes are worth watching. It’s Dean/Cas. You get some adorableness with Dean cupping sick Cas’ cheek, and some happy feelings with the boys at the bunker.
Ep. 4 is a MUST WATCH. Shot entirely from Baby’s perspective, and is just overall amazing.
Ep. 5 I didn’t like this ep. at all. In fact, I don’t even think I watched the entire thing when the season aired. There is a little Ghostfacers reference by the couple that gets killed at the beginning, though, which is cool. Shows at the very end of the episode Amara watching Dean the whole time and she says this creepy, “Bye, Dean. I’ll see you soon.”
Have I mentioned yet that I hate the darkness/amara? I do. I hate her.
Ep. 6 Not worth watching either. Amara is still walking around all barefoot and creepy, eating souls. Papa Crowley is mad. Sam wants to bring Cas in to help with the Amara hunt and Dean isn’t happy about it, wants him to get a break since it’s been rough for him lately (awww). Cas has been binge watching TV (he’s watching a show that’s the equivalent of Jerry Springer or Maury, one of those “the results are in and you are the father!” shows). Dean teases him for it and Cas gives him some sass. Dean’s super worried about him. Cas tries to get himself to leave the bunker and gets a huge anxiety attack/flash-backs to when he hurt Dean under the spell, when he killed the angels, then when Dean beat him up and almost killed him when under the influence of the mark of cain, breaks down and can’t leave the bunker. Cas eventually leaves, tracks down Metatron who has been videotaping crap to see to the news. He interrogates Metatron about the darkness. Metatron breaks and tells Cas that God had to give up the only thing he had ever known in order to create the world - his sister, which is Amara. Dean & Sam show up to Crowley’s to kill Amara, Crowley tries killing Dean, Amara stops him. Dean can’t get himself to kill Amara. Amara points it out to Dean. She cups his cheek and is all creepy talking about how linked they are/how neither of them can fight their connection and it’s weird because she’s in a teenaged girls body and just… ew. Ew. Ew. EW. She says she came there to settle a score “the oldest score,” which is obviously talking about god. Oh, and Sam is getting weird visions about Luci in the cage. I know that was a lot of info, but I’m serious, the episode just isn’t worth watching in my opinion.
Ep. 7 I have to say this is worth watching, because Donna is in it, and who doesn’t love Donna?!? Plus, it’s a good old fashioned hunt, which is so rare in this season.
Ep. 8 Is a good one too. It’s a flashback episode, which anyone who knows me knows those are some of my fav.’s. Plus, it’s a pretty funny hunting episode.
Ep. 9 Pretty important episode, so I’d suggest watching it. Big for plot. Amara is killing preachers left and right to piss God off. Sam is convinced talking to Lucifer will help because of his visions he’s been having, so he and Dean go to Crowley to see if they can talk with him somehow (Dean’s obvi not happy bout that). It is kind of entertaining watching Amara with the bible and trying to understand why all these people believe in him/think he’s great/yada yada.
Ep. 10 Isn’t terrible. A continuation of a lot of the same stuff going on in 9. There’s some great Dean/Cas in this ep. so I’ll give it that. Post whump hurt comfort between the two of them is always my fav. Kind of a cool ep. bcuz it’s Luci and Sam walking through memories. A huge thing happens at the end, too.
Ep. 11 Not that great of an ep. But it has a character that turns out to be a bit of a fan favorite, so I’d watch it for her (Eilene). Also, Lucifer/Cas is interesting. Misha does a great job there. There’s a bit of character development/insight with Dean, too.
Ep. 12 This is a MUST SEE. Ep with Jodi, Claire, and Alex. Great dynamic to see. Plus a nice classic hunting ep. And, of course, the awkward family dinner at Jodi’s where the sex talk comes up? That’s just fantastic. Probably the best of the whole damn season. I loved it.
Ep. 13 Honestly, this is boring as all hell. (in my opinion). I will say there’s a part where the monster shows people their deepest darkest desire, and it appears as Amara. Dean tells that to Sam and is very conflicted/hates it, and Sam points out that Amara is the sister of God, and it’s not Dean’s fault, because she picked him and now he feels these things because of her power. Says Dean can’t be blamed or judged. And he tells Dean that he believes him that Dean doesn’t actually want her, and that he wants her dead, but that Amara is controlling him. Which is like YEEEEEEEEEEEES. Because I hate Amara, AND I hate the whole Amara/Dean weird romance-esque type thing. This is literally the only plot, though. For the whole ep. They talk about this, and then Dean tells Sam Sam has to be the one to kill her when it comes to that because of the control Amara has over him, and Sam promises he’ll handle it. Save yourself 41 minutes and don’t watch it.
Ep 14 This one is interesting. It has some time travel/Dean sent back to WWII times. Badass woman of letters in this ep that Dean gets to meet. Plus, Lucifer as king of hell is hilarious. Some decent plot going on here too.
Ep 15 Honestly, I hated this ep. I also hate anything related to WWE and that shit too, though, so I dunno. Maybe you’d like it? It felt extremely pointless. Crowley escapes hell, goes to find a new weapon (Aaron’s rod), but Luci tricked him into thinking he escaped just so he could get ahold of the weapon. But then Crowley tricks Luci back, uses weapon against him. But then runs out of juice, and Luci is able to disappear. So. Basically. All that fucking happens is Crowley gets out of hell.
Ep 16 This is a cool one because it involves flashbacks from when Bobby and Rufus hunted the same thing. We find out why Rufus gave Bobby that battle of Jack with the note that Jodi and Sam found in that episode from way back when, when they fought the time god. (I wanna say that was s9, but I’m honestly too lazy to look atm)
Ep 17 This is a good one if you have time/feel like watching. Not really any plot, though. Dean takes some pills and overdoses in order to talk to Billy, and Billy mentions something called ‘The Empty’ that’s waiting for Dean when he dies. Tiny little thing mentioned there. BIG THING way later on in the series. Like… 3ish season from now? Other than that, though… eh.
Ep 18 This one should be watched. Very plot heavy. If you feel like skipping it, you can read the paragraph below, it’s not vital to watch. Rowena is alive, explains how she survived (a magic thingy). She’s helping heal Amara. Crowley went and got the horn of Joshua for the battle against Amara, says he’ll give it to the boys if they promise to help him exorcise Luci from Cas and put him back in the cage. Luci is up in heaven terrorizing the poor angels. Has decided to become the new ruler up there. Amara attacks heaven with her dark smoke crap. Luci just giggles. Rowena is afraid of Amara/starting to fear her/regretting working with her. Rowena sends the boys a message that she’s alive, they work together to trap Luci. There is a great scene in here (starts around 26 minutes into the ep.) where Dean uses a spell to try to talk to Cas inside Luci. It’s so sad :( && Luci mocks Dean for being so upset/sad. Crowley possesses Cas’ vessel, so then all three of them are in there. There is some adorableness there when Crowley tries to tell Cas to eject Luci and Cas tells him no, but then when Crowley explains that Dean wants him to do it, Cas is like ‘oh, maybe I should then.’ Luci gains control, tries killing Amara with the horn of Joshua, doesn’t work. Like at all. She takes Luci captive and tortures. Dean and Sam agree to go find Cas and bring him home.
Ep 19 MUST. WATCH. This is the gay hunters ep that got everyone so excited. And for good cause. Who doesn’t love seeing two manly hunters in love with each other, and who doesn’t love seeing Dean’s reaction to that?!?
Ep 20 is a must watch as well. You meet God, which is - ya know - a big fucking deal. It’s also a very entertaining/well-done ep.
Ep 21 I’d say you have to watch this one too. Dean & Sam meeting God. Or, well, re-meeting him I suppose. There is SO. MUCH. EMOTION. In this ep too. Sam & Dean (even Luci) have so much to address when it comes to God. All of the things they’ve been put through. Their feelings of being betrayed. Abandoned. Especially Dean. Oh, my poor baby Dean. I just… he has such a hard time in this ep, but it’s a great ep. Much needed. Well done. Among other things. I could talk about this ep for a really long time, but I’ll just stop there. Oh, and a new prophet pops up, which is always great. He’s not my favorite (no one can replace Kevin) but he’s fucking hilarious, so that’s nice.
Ep 22 Have to watch this too. If not for ALL THE PLOT, then for Luci and God going at it. Oh my. Such a great situation (And Misha did so so so well at it). Luci locked in his room listening to loud music like a pouty teenanger. God cooking pancakes and drinking coffee from ‘World’s Greatest Dad’ mug. I mean, Dean and Sam have to do a family therapy session for the two. Who doesn’t want to watch that?!?
Ep 23 From there, ya might as well finish off the season.

His Dark Materials Season 2 Episode 1 Review (Spoiler-Free)
https://ift.tt/3mlMHs9
Next to the monumental pile of cultural loss caused by the current pandemic is a short stack of lucky escapes – the projects that just squeaked inside the line, or were able to retool in such a way that kept them mercifully on schedule. His Dark Materials is just such a one.
Filming on the second run had largely concluded by the end of 2019 (when it comes to child actors, you can’t afford to hang around for them to grow six inches and sprout a beard between seasons). And despite the extraordinarily heavy VFX burden on a show about talking creatures, flying witches and magical lands, production company Bad Wolf managed to pull it off. Season two has arrived right on time, and largely intact. Only one episode of eight – a planned Lord Asriel special inserting new material not in the books – had to be scrapped because of Covid-19 restrictions.
How season three (yet to be officially announced) might be affected is another question. For now, let’s just assume that the grown-ups are working it out, and cross that bridge when we come to it.
On the subject of bridge-crossing, last we saw Lyra and Pan they were trotting through a technicolour tunnel from one world to another. Asriel had just murdered Lyra’s best friend Roger in order to travel between parallel realms, and Lyra followed in her father’s wake to try to stop whatever he’d do next.
It’s no secret that what Asriel does next isn’t much covered by The Subtle Knife, the second book of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy, which forms the basis for season two (hence the thwarted plan for an additional Asriel-ep, just to keep James McAvoy’s hand in). Episode one finds Lyra on her own, though not for long.
Thanks to Philip Pullman’s canny daemon conceit, Lyra is never really alone. What a boon to screenwriter Jack Thorne that in her world, a character’s internal dialogue can be made external without any need for the awkward under-the-breath muttering or mirror-facing pep talks resorted to by other shows. The form-flitting animation of daemon Pan remains beautifully done and there’s a warm simplicity to his and Lyra’s solo scenes that disguises an awful lot of complicated VFX work.

His Dark Materials Season 2 Trailer Teases The Lyra & Will Team Up
By Kayti Burt
Less of a boon to these scripts is the existence of the all-knowing alethiometer, a mystery-killing device not unlike Game of Thrones’ Three Eyed Raven, which could hand Lyra answers to any of the questions she asks this episode, namely: what’s going on in this unfamiliar world, and can she trust her strange new companion? Keeping Lyra from flipping that golden compass open at every opportunity, or making its answers conveniently abstruse when she does, is key to keeping this story on the tracks. Writer Jack Thorne finds an emotional way to keep a grieving Lyra from taking that shortcut here, at least to begin with.
The episode is tonally split two ways, between warmth and light, and cold and darkness. The former come from Lyra’s scenes in a new, Italianate land, and the latter from Mrs Coulter and the Magisterium, which is reeling from Lord Asriel’s dogma-shattering tear in reality. Asriel has very publicly undermined the church’s teachings, and its scramble to hold onto power results in an intriguing new dynamic.
What makes it intriguing is, of course, Ruth Wilson as Mrs Coulter, who continues to fascinate and appal in equal measure. It’s fair to say that she hasn’t been thawed by the passionate kiss with Asriel and revelation of her love for Lyra in last year’s finale. The woman is just as cleverly manipulative and as reprehensible as ever. In this season opener, she goes full Gestapo, and it is shudder-inducing.
There’s a burst of exhilarating action too – even if the VFX make it seem a little weightless. We meet a new player, and learn more about the powers of the witches. There’s a new existential threat as well, one that’s stepped right out of a horror film and expertly rendered on screen.
Balancing out the darkness are Lyra’s scenes with her new ally as they cautiously get to know one another and work out how much they can share while still keeping their secrets. Dafne Keen’s likeable, forceful characterisation is the driving force, while her companion’s energy is gentler and more nurturing, but with a steely core that knows right from wrong. Together, they make an appealing pair who’ll be easy to root for on the long and perilous journey ahead.

His Dark Materials season 2 starts on BBC One on Sunday the 8th of November and on HBO on Sunday the 15th of November.

A Total Eclipse of the Heart: A Daniel Seavey Thing
A/n This is a true story except for the boys and the LURVE
August 21, 2017 The Solar Eclipse. Just Wow.
Today I’m hosting an eclipse party! (distant cheers) I have planned this out for 3 months, I have the food, glasses, friends, and everything else. Krispy Kreme has Chocolate covered donuts for $1.00 today and are calling them eclipse dounuts. So at 9am (eclipse is at 2:30p) I head to KK for 2 dozen donuts. When I got there the line is wrapped around the building. Twice. “wow” I think, “Im gonna be here a while”
A group of boys gets in line behind me, Wow all of them are cute.
“silence Y/n they’re probably jerks” I think to myself, but I’m shaken out of my thoughts by the oldest one in the group saying,
“Do you have a bandaid?” Wow such a douche.
“because I scraped my knee falling for you, yeah yeah I’ve heard them all” I snap back at him before he can finish.
“I’m sorry! He dared me to!” He said whilst pointing to a boy with blonde hair with a smirk painted across his face.
“Anyway, I’m Jonah, the boy who dared me to do this is Corbyn, the boy that has hair that looks like noodle is Jack, the one with permanent red cheeks is Zach, and the remaining person is Daniel.”
“Hey! I am not to be forgotten” The one who I think is Daniel teases.
I laugh and introduce myself,
“Hi, Jack, Zach, Daniel, Corbyn, and Jonah, I’m Y/n. Soooooo what brings you here?”
“welp We WERE trying to get donuts, but they might run out, so we are probably going to be in line for a few hours.” explained Corbyn.
“WAIT I NEED TO TWEET THIS” Daniel said while putting his fist in the air heroically, and pulling out his phone.
Zach whispered to me, “We’re kinda famoose on the internet”
“Yea so am I me and my Silver Play Button.” I wink at him.
We laugh, and thennnnnnn the power goes out. (THIS IS TRU)
“OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS SORCEREY?” Daniel shrieks.
“Deep breathes young Dani, the world couldn’t handle the awesomeness”
Then an almost miracle happened, The boys started to sing, and Damn, they are good. They sang Total Eclipse of the Heart.
Turnaround, every now and then I get a little bit lonely And you’re never coming round Turnaround, every now and then I get a little bit tired Of listening to the sound of my tears Turnaround, every now and then I get a little bit nervous That the best of all the years have gone by Turnaround, every now and then I get a little bit terrified And then I see the look in your eyes Turnaround bright eyes, but every now and then I fall apart Turnaround bright eyes, every now and then I fall apartAnd I need you now tonight And I need you more than ever And if you only hold me tight We’ll be holding on forever And we’ll only be making it right ‘Cause we’ll never be wrong together We can take it to the end of the line Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time (all of the time) I don’t know what to do and I’m always in the dark We’re living in a powder keg and giving off sparks I really need you tonight Forever’s gonna start tonight Forever’s gonna start tonightOnce upon a time I was falling in love But now I’m only falling apart And there’s nothing I can do A total eclipse of the heart Once upon a time there was light in my life But now there’s only love in the dark Nothing I can say A total eclipse of the heartTurnaround bright eyes, every now and then I fall apart Turnaround bright eyes, every now and then I fall apartAnd I need you now tonight (and I need you now) And I need you more than ever And if you only hold me tight (and if you only) We’ll be holding on forever And we’ll only be making it right ('cause we’ll never be wrong) 'Cause we’ll never be wrong together We can take it to the end of the line Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time (all of the time) I don’t know what to do and I’m always in the dark We’re living in a powder keg and giving off sparks I really need you tonight Forever’s gonna start tonight Forever’s gonna start tonightOnce upon a time I was falling in love But now I’m only falling apart And there’s nothing I can say A total eclipse of the heart A total eclipse of the heart A total eclipse of the heart Turn around bright eyes
Then they started to sing a song that I had never heard before but whatever it was it was amazing
Tell me your name Where are you from? How do you do? What do you like? Tell me your type Can we be cool? Everything about you I want to know Everything I gotta do I want to do I’m just being honest I’m not here to waste your time You could hold my promise I don’t give it away too often I’m listenin’ I’m listenin’ Tell me a way Tell me a way I’m listenin’ What is it? Tell me a way Tell me a way What do I gotta do to be down with you-you-you? What do I gotta do to be down with you-you-you? Show me your sign How do I find My way to you? Show me I’m right Nothing to hide when I’m with you Everything about you I want to know Everything I gotta do I want to do I’m just being honest I’m not here to waste your time You could hold my promise I don’t give it away too often I’m listenin’ I’m listenin’ Tell me a way Tell me a way I’m listenin’ What is it? Tell me a way Tell me a way What do I gotta do to be down with you-you-you? What do I gotta do to be down with you-you-you? I’m listenin’ I’m listenin’ Tell me a way Tell me a way I’m listenin’ What is it? Tell me a way Tell me a way What do I gotta do to be down with you-you-you? What do I gotta do to be down with you-you-you?
Of course me being the tech savvy person I am, I Shazam it. Because I would listen to this on replay every single day. I know it will only come up if they actually recorded it but they said they were kinda famous so what though? Wow, just wow, this song is called tell me by Why Don’t We (A/N My neck just popped and now it hurts). I look more into Why Don’t We. Turns out they have released 3 eps (WE NEED A 4TH). and, Daniel is my age hehehe. “what is wrong with me?” I think.
I of course follow them on twitter Insta and all that jazz.
“Thank You thank you. We are why don’t we *cough* buy our music *cough*” Jonah says as they finish singing. The Line laughs at him and of course on cue, The lights turn back on and the Donut line starts moving again.
“Got a little sassy there did ya Jonah?”I poke at him.
He just laughed.
“So I see you followed us” Daniel said raising his eyebrows
“yea I mean, you have talent kid.”
“k” Daniel laughed
 11:30pm
After 3 HOLY FUCKING hours, we have finally gotten in first in line.
“FINALLY” Zach whispered/yelled. Which to be honest kinda scared me. Daniel let me go first because he can, and I ordered my donuts. "Why are you ordering so many donuts?" Corbyn asked. "Well, if you must know, I am having a Solar Eclipse party." I say in some kind of weird voice I made up on the spot. The boys just laughed. "Ok, here are your donuts!" Said the cashier as I paid for them. Daniel DMed me on insta like the stud he is, "Can we come????????????????????" He asked. "Ok sunshiney human, and all your friends can come too🤘🏼" what was that last emoji for? I don't know. I also don't know why I invited a boy band that, is REALLY talented, at the same time I just met. Although Daniel is pretty cute. I waited out in the parking lot for my uber, the boys and I decided to split an uber. I already have everything set up for the party so when people get there, at noon, everything you be ready to go. Since I live pretty close we got there in like 5 minutes. "Wow I love your house just wow." Jonah said while staring at my lavender craftsWOMAN(EQUAL GENDER RIGHTS) (tf) house with its huge patio. "Yeah, most of my friends live in tiny apartments so we decided on here for the viewing spot. I showed them the inside and set my donuts out and poured drinks. Daniel comes over and helps me. At noon, the rest of my guests arrive. Turns out one of my friends, Grace, is actually a fan of them. So the boys take pictures with her and all that jazz. We sit around and I stare at Daniel. Wait what? Shut up Y/N's brain I say to myself. We all sat on my porch with the reclining porch chairs. Daniel made sure he sat next to me. Jack ended up sitting in the only pink chair, so of course he does social media stuff with that. I tell the world I am hanging out with them and stuff, and all of us just chill and eat food until the eclipse. *insert line thing bc I'm on a phone and can't do that right now that I know of* We are finally counting down the time until the eclipse. "3 2 1" everybody counts down and just wat. So much happened at the same time I just can't. I saw the eclipse for a split second and just wow. But then the best part of the day happens. The Daniel Seavey kisses me. On the lips. Daniel Seavey folks. I kiss back and just fucking fireworks.

general thoughts and notes on vld s7
yeah im no expert man, i aint no storyteller either. im just writing down the thoughts and fix-it notes me and my friend thought up after watching everything within 5 hours.
some episodes are untouched tho, mostly from ep 6 onwards, but you can see for yourself under keep reading.
okay sO,
EPISODE 1: a little adventure
we can probably agree it was a mess? shiro was on the verge of possibly dying again, and we got this weird and unnecessary side skit with coran, hunk, lance, romelle and pidge looking for,,, whatever it was actually. them having this thumbelina like adventure was so out of place???? i mean, we got a dying man here folks, why was that a thing. the flashbacks from keith were appreciated though. i just really got a lot of whiplash from the conflicting story of side a and b in this ep.
EPISODE 2: the road home
i dont have much of an impression of this ep, which is better than a bad one i guess? the whole passenger bit was a little funny, and we got to see these odd dynamics. when things got more serious the transition didnt give me a headache either, so thats a bonus. (theres a little ‘chekhovs gun’ scene i liked where lance mentions elephants to the alteans and, lo and behold, you see elephants in episode 8 when galran fleets enter earths atmosphere) (im sure there were more things like this that i spotted, but im too tired to look for them)
EPISODE 3: the way forward
coran, coran, my gorgeous man, what the fuck did they do to you? you went from eccentric but seemingly capable to,,,, whatever the fuck you were in this ep. what happened to s1 coran that defended the princess with a fucking ladle and food goo, or the coran from s6 where he was able to temporarily fix the castles issue with a fuckin alien molotov cocktail. whatever happened, it ended up fucking over coran and made him into this, which is a huge shame honestly.
ezor and zethrid serving up unexpected sapphic vibes came from left field though. i love it. keep going, you funky evil lesbians. on the other hand, axca also got to serve something content-wise, and pointing out the fact she seemed to unconsciously orbit keith after he saved her was something i wanted pinned out and solved but not like this, honestly. i mean, the whole ‘true love’ joke was a step to far, really. either way, at least she explained her motives. but where did she go afterwards? (another note: its kinda weird that, with the time skip, in a sense keith was the least affected, since hes 20 and all that. its not a bad thing though, personally.)
EPISODE 4: the feud!
yeah, uhhhhhhh, fuck this episode????
almost absolutely nothing spared me from hating this episode besides keiths drawing efforts, and maybe the final round confessions, but good GOD thats all it had for itself. the only joy i felt in this episode besides that too was seeing pidge pull a front and murk bob from his bootleg scooby-doo doughnut floatie.
fuck bob in particular
i mean, i know it was a filler episode, but dammit it couldve been something else entirely if it ended with pidges scene. you can call me biased with this idea since i avoid shows like family feud for the sake of saving myself from second-hand embarrassment, or maybe from the fact that i used to relate to an aspect of lance (that personally think got too blown up), but maybe if they got out sooner (possibly as a result of katie decking shitstain floaty-pants off his high ground) theyd follow the linear part of waking up in their lions and finding out, with courtesy from coran, that instead of some omnipotent asshole judge of ancient heroes, it was some deep-space intergalactic sentient-miasma or something that does weird mind games with heroic prey, and chose the paladins specifically for one reason or another. better than making him seem like an ally when all i wanna do when i see is face is shank him.
and with the time thats left in the ep after, our non-paladin passengers are updated by the team of this weird ass incident , before keith notices lance seems less responsive. (i was personally thinking shiro at first but then i realized hes in pidges lion, and it might not work for this next sequence) after opening a private connection to the red lion and asking whats the sitch, lance reluctantly admits to being a bit more hurt with that whole ”idiot” shtick in the feud sequence than he let on. recalling the moment from s3 with lance willing to step down for the sake of the team, keith, (albeit awkwardly, remember his and hunks talk this season) assures lance of his place and value in the team as a paladin and friend, which gets further bolstered by hunk, pidge and allura dragging both of them back into the conversation, maybe with light teasing and an (seemingly unnecessary) apology from allura for her ’rudeness’ from earlier. seems like a sweeter deal right? idk.
i just really hate bob dont mind me.
EPISODE 5: the ruins
[ill be breaking my streak of complaints for this small section of compliments so here it is.]
oh man, i actually enjoyed the beginning part of this ep, for once. i forget how big the lions actually are, so this was a pleasant reminder. the training sequence krolia made had, in a way, also eased me into the more battle driven part of the episode too so, while most likely unintentional, i liked it. hunk and kosmo interacting was really cool too and im so glad that was a thing, holy shit. and finding out kosmo wasnt even kosmo until now, and that keith didnt name him until the others did it for him seemed, pretty in character, actually.
now, the whole planet sequence wasnt as bad either i guess. kosmo couldve zapped away with more than one person (as shown before) , so why only keith? why not krolia too, if i recall, since she seemed to be next to him too, but i can be sure. side-boss diversion trope was a thing here with that druid ngl. allura’s deus-ex-machina powers dont get explained, just like a lot of other things she does, which im sad over, and think its too convenient sometimes. actually, now that i think of it, maybe im forgetting crucial info about her powers that have been stated before, cant be sure. (but hey it saved shiro and the other many times though, so i try not to be fed up with it much.)
yes, i did in fact cry over krolia and keith separating, with the hefty L word, even, thank you for asking.
and thats about it. the rest of the episodes speak for themselves, though i do have to pick on the whole adam situation before ending this since, honestly im rather upset at that. a lot of people are. hell, i guess almost a good chunk of the fandom just done and dropped the series after that. i mean. it was so.... empty?we didnt learn jack shit about him, or his relationship to shiro. he just up and went.
 so. how about another restructure?
so base defenses are getting culled, not looking great. we know adam was the last one to die, so maybe in an attempt to save his own skin, he retreats. (maybe he does it in remembering the fact that shiro is alive and somewhere out there, that makes him change his mind. in the end he wants to see him again.) whether he gets back to the base, but gets seized for defying admirals orders, or whether he hides out and somehow survives long enough to be part of the small resistance, i have yet to think through. but either way, he doesnt get chewed out as badly thanks to commander holt, whos aware of his relationship to our (re)tired space dad. this is where sam and adam talk about the situation, then shiro. (this would be an opportune time to do flashbacks of them, from adams view.)
then shiro comes back with the others, and things play out the same with the exception that they both are alive and talking, instead of shiro facing a slap of wall dedicated to those who've passed. this is where the end results in them either breaking up amicably or reconciling their relationship, and they part either permanently or not, since shiro joins the debriefing and adam would do other things depending on him either being part of the resistance or a part of the garrison.
see? not perfect, but better than  being dead, id imagine.
i guess that about as much thoughts as i can regurgitate tonight. if you read everything, ill give you kudos for reading a strangers ramblings over a show.
but, honestly i wouldnt give too much grief to dreamworks for this. they tried, and it wasnt a purposeful offense, i hope, not to mention we’re a season away from closing this story. and im losing my train of thought so ill stop it here, but feel free to keep talking to me abt anything i missed either here, my ask or privately.

The Best Songs of 2017 (So far)
Right, so although I find it difficult to imagine 2017 will top last year in terms of music releases given that it’s only April, it’s fair to say some absolute 10/10′s have been released so far. Which is promising.
10. Total Entertainment Forever - Father John Misty
youtube
Despite the song being relatively short compared to the majority of his discography, it is amazingly progressive, political and will probably make you wish you were on a road trip somewhere in the late 60′s/early 70s. The whole track gives off a summery pop rock kind of vibe as Tillman addresses the ways in which we consume entertainment today and how technology is slowly degrading us.
But yeah, the song is incredible really.
9. Won’t Look Back - Geowulf
youtube
Dream-pop really is the best sub-genre to exist, isn’t it?
The duo have only released three singles to this date; Saltwater, Don’t Talk About You, and Won’t Look Back, however judging by the quality of these three tracks alone, their album is definitely going to be one to look out for this year. This song effortlessly captures feelings of nostalgia with it’s beachy vocals creating an ethereal atmosphere, similar to the likes of Beach House.
8. Don’t Take The Money - Bleachers
youtube
Jack Antonoff has written and produced for artists like Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Lorde so it’s no surprise that Don’t Take The Money is a pop infused anthem. In terms of production and lyrical content it doesn’t steer too far away from Strange Desire but at the same time sounds completely fresh (despite it being nearly a year old). It’s not until the pace changes at the pre-chorus that you realise it’s probably going to be one of the best pop songs 2017 is going to give us. Oh, and then the chorus kicks in, which is the moment you kind of accept that the song is going to be queued every time you’re about to shower.
The track was co-written by Lorde so it’s only right that she adds a shimmer to this track with her backing vocals towards the very end of the song.
A feel good banger, basically.
7. Enough (feat. Pusha T) - Flume
youtube
Following his second LP, Skin, Australian producer Flume (aka Harley Steten) chose to release companion EPs for the tracks that didn’t make the cut for his record. Enough is featured on the second companion EP and is an absolute banger however it’s not surprising the track didn’t make the record as it does somewhat sound different to any other track on Skin. It’s more abrasive and experimental (which I can’t help but think is SOPHIE-influenced) with heavy trap influence. But it works. Skin was one of my favourite albums of 2016, with Numb and Getting Colder being in my top tracks overall, so this whole EP idea that Flume has going on is great really.
6. Best Behaviour - Louisa Johnson
youtube
The key change............??????
5. Plastic - Will Joseph Cook
youtube
Taken from his debut album Sweet Dreamer, this track is beachy/tropical/fruity and gets better with every listen. The steel drums and pop tones blended with his vocals make this song a summer anthem which is quite frankly going to be impossible to top.
4. 1 Night (feat. Charli XCX) - Mura Masa
youtube
It’s the steel drums again.
Taken from his self-titled debut album, 1 Night features singer Charli XCX whose eloquent vocals perfectly compliment the bubbly and beachy production from Mura Masa. I mean the song’s only been out 40 days and I’ve already streamed it 47 times so it can’t be that bad can it.
3. Spun - Ängie
youtube
(The song that restored my faith in music)
From Sweden, Ängie only has three songs in her discography, all released through Death Team’s label Rich Parents who were drawn to Ängie after she wrote her debut single “Smoke Weed Eat Pussy” (unsurprisingly).
Spun is genuinely going to be in my top songs of 2017 overall. The chorus is incredible. The melodies are perfection. While the production completely opens her up to a new demographic making it a track that could potentially be huge on the radio and the charts (if you know people stopped thinking The Chainsmokers is good music).
2. Roll With Me - Charli XCX
youtube
I mean if this wasn’t on the top half of this list I would seriously be questioning my hearing ability. Finally she releases the brilliance that is Roll With Me produced by SOPHIE (hence why it’s so good) along with the rest of her mixtape titled “Number 1 Angel” (which could have easily just been this entire top 10).
The energetic and sharp production by SOPHIE contrasted with the laid back and more relaxed vocals from Charli create a nostalgic vibe that will literally make you want to be in a club but crying at the same time. The only frustrating thing about this song is that SOPHIE uses the Burn Rubber stems within his production which is an absolute tease (but whatever just release the song already)
1. 9 (After Coachella) featuring MØ and SOPHIE - Cashmere Cat
youtube
Now this song has been floating around for a very long time. Since Cashmere Cat first premiered it at Lollapalooza last year it was rumoured that the vocal feature on the song was actually Starrah, but no. Also it was completely obvious SOPHIE had contributed an enormous amount to this production on this track since well the entire song is full of classic SOPHIE sounds. To be quite honest I’m not actually sure what Cashmere Cat did but I’m not complaining.
MØ sings “I know, I know.. You’ll never be mine / I like the way your body moving / I like the way you spread confusion / I like the way my heart is blooming on and on” which was written with Cashmere Cat after they both met at Coachella (given the track title). But yeah, the verses are nice but the SOPHIE choruses are much better. The hyperkinetic, harsh and elastic production completely change the tone of the song, making the juxtaposition between the verses and chorus one that feels like you’re on a journey throughout the entire track.
To sum it up, the song is phenomenal.
