Prompt 113
“I seem to have been taken hostage.”
Batman’s words almost had Superman panic if not for the wry tone, a tone which the others didn’t know if their freaking out was to go by. Clark sighed through the comms, tired after battle and honestly wanting to go to bed now.
“I’ll be right over, what child has latched onto you now?” He asked while switching to a more private channel.
“I can already hear you making fun of me…” Wha- Oh. Clark bit his lip to keep himself from laughing as he took to the air. “They appear to be a pair of twins with…”
“You gotta’ say it Bruce, you gotta’,” Clark couldn’t stop the chuckle when he saw his friend on the top of a building, cape curled around his form in a way usually reserved for the robins.
“... with dark hair… and blue eyes…” That was it. Clark absolutely lost it in laughter.

Here's a thought...what if Martin Kartin Blackwood looked like super fucking scary. What if you go into the institute and you see like a 6"4 huge man bustling around with sparkly nail polish and a pride pin and he's scowling and then he offers you tea and comforts you after you have your statement and you're like oh ok I'm not gonna get beaten up by a massive gay man.
A second thought (I know shocking)...an amiable enough looking Jonathan Sims, you look at him and you sort of think yeah I'd tell that guy one of my deepest secrets, he looks kinda decent and then you sit down in the chair opposite and his features sort of sharpen and stand rigid against his face and his eyes narrow dangerously and it happened so quickly that you cant even imagine how you ever thought you could trust him but the words are flowing out and you can't seem to stop them.

Okey I want to ramble about The Country under cut
Obviously we don’t know much about anything, but thing we do have is the saying “The universe leads, you follow,” which is interesting to say the least.
For one it seems to be connected to Wish Craft, specifically an effort to not try to break wishes, an example being trying to say The Country’s name can straight up kill you if you try hard enough. A smaller case of this can be seen when trying to regift Mirabelle the bow from the pretty lady. Since she already has the bow, the logic of the loop starts to break and it begins to hurt her. It only stops when Siffrin grabs the bow and gives it to her so that it can continue as normal. Don’t go against the flow of what’s happening or else you can accidentally break a wish and get hurt.
There’s another example of them taking precautions with Wish Craft with the book in the room with the orrery. If you look at it in act 5 you find out it’s a children’s cautionary tale about wishing certain wishes. This is really telling, Wish Craft is essential for the society of The Country but they also had cultural habits to try to minimize its danger. They teach their kids to not wish too big and let things happen without challenge, or else it might get messy.
This kinda highlights the flipped side of all this, which is that this isn’t the greatest mentality to teach people. The Universe saying can essentially be translated to mean “just let things happen and don’t challenge them.” A lot of Siffrin’s problems are reinforced by him making sure to not ‘interrupt anything’, in fact it inadvertently worked against his wish. They can’t ask if the rest of the party wants to continue traveling, it will happen if it does. In my mind it’s kinda like the ends justify the means, the culture makes it so Wish Craft is less likely to backfire, but at the expense of the citizens’ mental health.
Which is really funny considering it did not work

Prompt 191
So. Apparently immortality does in fact exist. And is apparently very easily accidentally achieved, if the fact an entire city has it now.
The GIW will be waiting a very long time to be able to drop that ghost shield, because the city doesn’t seem to be dying out anytime soon. Or at all actually. It’s been several generations now.
They might need to request assistance. Maybe before others start to investigate now that vigilantes are becoming a semi-common thing.
