i just have to get this out of the way first. unfortunately some people see pigeons and doves as completely seperate birds, but this isnt true. pigeons are doves. anyway. headcanons now

we all know medic got his doves from stealing a van at a wedding. commonly the type of bird used for release at weddings, funurals, whatever, are rock doves or homing pigeons that are bred to be a smaller size and all white, meaning medics birds are all most likely pigeons of this kind :]

i think that a good handful of his doves would be bonded pairs, but not all of them! since he sort of lets them have free roam some of them turn up randomly with some other pigeon they found in the area and then sometimes he gets some new little birds that are not all white so i headcanon that even though his original flock is all white, hed get some more interesting color and pattern variations from time to time.

speaking of bonded pairs, archimedes is bonded to medic. thats HIS person. of course all the doves consider him to be part of the flock and they all like him and vice versa but archimedes specifically is HIS bird. archimedes will get jealous and throw a little bird tantrum if hes giving the others too much attention. if you ever need to figure out which one of the many birds is archimedes then its a pretty safe bet to assume that whichever bird is currently perched on him or always seems to be hovering around somewhere following him is archimedes. oh and he loves to get into trouble and dive headfirst into anything gorey so you could probably tell that way too ^^;

medic does have names for all the birds. he can always identify archimedes of course and then theres a handful of others he can pick out pretty easily, especially if theyre in a pair or have unique colors or some other defining feature about them, but even though he does name all of them and recignize most of them, he would be lying to you if he said he always knows which is which out of every single one of them at all times.

i mentioned in a previous post that engie would make an industrial grade air purifier for the lab and the workshop and the operating room in order to stay on top of all the dust. pigeons are very dusty.

with a couple of exceptions, a lot of the birds would stay outside most of the time, and theyve got nests all over base. maybe thered also be an aviary or something on the roof for them to stay in if they want, thats where medic would probably put most of their food anyway. archimedes would get his own personal cage in medics room even though hes got free roam as well. and much to the annoyance of some of the other mercs, medic insists on letting the whole flock inside during cold winter months or during the heat of summer.

he really does his best to take care of them all if he can. like i said, they would all have free roam, and a vast majority of them would just live outside around base, but he feeds all of them, he names all of them, he keeps track of where each and every nest around base is. theres not much he can do if some of them get swiped up by wild animals or whatever else but if theyre injured he'll patch them up. the only one he rarely ever has to worry about is archimedes, because that little guy is basically glued to him 90% of the time anyway

thats what ticked me off so bad about the monster high reboot. nb frankie was so cool and an asian draculaura was so fun but then they just... took away the black girl? and by extension, her sisters and thus ALL the black girls and like, dude not cool? nothing wrong with her being latina but being afrolatina is a different experience than being african american. afrolatinas deserve rep but that doesnt mean they shouldve taken clawdeen from african american girls. then there was some back and forth as to where specifically draculaura's family is from, and lagoona's origins vary from source to source dolls vs movie vs tv too and you just really feel the lack of effort and cohesion in the writing rooms. it really is just all just numbers on a chart, quotas to be filled there.

Like it's so fucking weird to me!!! And GOD I wanted to say something about gen3 Clawdeen but I wasn't sure if I was "right" or if it was my place to say but exactly!! Being afrolatina is wonderful and they deserve representation too but it is still ultimately a different experience from being black american and they shouldn't have taken that away from black girls! I'm glad that mixed kids have her as rep now but they shouldn't have taken her away!! They very easily could've made a new character to fill that role instead!

-the story is told through her perspective. we also get her narration sometimes, revealing that she is a three dimensional person, just cant express some parts outwardly.

(unless shes having a meltdown, or overstimulated. many people on the spectrum cant, and thats okay, but im glad she has agency, ok,it doesnt happen often in media) only needs support when things get unbearable. very nice.

-law isn´t her special interest, whales are! many shows make the persons special interest their whole personality, glad they branched out lol

-accurate representation of overstimulation and anxiety in public spaces

-connected to the last point, her coping mechanisms and stims are accurate to real life and relatable: noise cancel headphones with white noise, pacing when stressed to ground herself, finger stimming...

-stims actually dont look a caricature!! even though they´re basic and stereotypical, they are real and not overexaggerated

-represents sensory issues well, they arent basic, but personalized to her, which is great! for example: her dad removes all tags from her clothes bcs they bother her, she has a specific safe food (bibimbap)

-lack of empathy is handled well too. she uses logic to determine how others may feel, but it is shown that its something she had to learn! very good

-also!! she. has emotions, just doesnt express them the way other people would!!

-a big one: THE VISUAL REPRESENTATION OF HER INSIDE WORLD ISNT TRIGGERING TO ME. it still may be to some people, but, unlike the music movie (ew), it isnt bright, flashing and fast paced: its flowing, with neutral, soft colors and calm noises

-her and her best friend are the perfect adhd and autism solidarity

-her aversion to touch seems to be handled well so far: she learns to tolerate it, not like it (thank god), for the sake of comforting other people (not to please them, but only when needed)

-its a kdrama. shes getting a love interest. an autistic person being treated as an adult?? with a love interest?? DAMN (the bar is on the floor, huh)

sometimes its kind of upsetting to see like anti dsmp/anti mcyt stuff because i think its very easy for people to look at creators that get popular with bad rep and just like completely dehumanize them. do i think the creators make oversights and are often assholes? yeah. especially dream and god fucking knows i think schlatt is awful because he knows what hes doing and *doesnt care* but like. shitty people are people. ignoring that they should still be treated as people you dont actually know is just kinda fucked up

sometimes i see posts and i go "yep. fair assessment but also please just focus on what makes you happy instead of this. they dont care about you they dont care about your opinion" because of course theres going to be genuinely good assessments about how the popularity has inflated dreams ego or how people who are overly positive and protective about/of ccs that fuck up w/o apology are fucked up themselves.

and then sometimes i see people genuinely pissed off that tommy only recently learned about conversion therapy or that dsmp is popular or that theres a lot of white people involved w/e w/e and im just like.. you getting mad about popular people and the people who like the content they create isnt going to solve any problems. its not. youre just putting yourself in a negative feedback loop, over and over, getting more and more purist about what people can or cant consume and its. exhausting

-the outfit danny had to buy for dash's party. CLASSIC 2000S i cannot stop laughing. And also showing up to the party and everyone is dressed like the trio is hilarious. and further proof that everyone looks good dressed goth.

-the music in this show is super. its so funky. I looked it up and the guy who does it, guy moon (awesome name) also did music for other cartoons like fairly odd parents, barnyard, chalkzone, billy & mandy, AND some actual movies like FIGHT CLUB??? the whiplash I got from reading that)

-sam being rich explains a lot about her, actually.

-I know the moral of the episode was supposed to be 'dont ditch your friends for popular people/spend a lot of money on clothes that arent You to Fit In'. but tbh. it wouldve been easy for danny to have been like 'well, okay, ill come but only if my friends can!' but I get. that hes 14. so. not a lot to say there.

-sorta unrelated, but it just occurred to me in one of these eps they go to casper HIGH not casper middle school??? theyre 14?? dont highschools usually do ages 15-18? (I didnt go to hs so I might be wrong, if I am ignore this...) freshmen are usually 14-15, could just be a case of them not turning 15 yet but they will sometime in the school year (I say they because tucker said he was 14 too)? I know the show has 3 seasons, so by the end of it will they be older? thatd be neat but usually cartoon characters stay the same age...I love shows where you can see the characters age and grow up, though...three seasons seems like a long time to spend on like, 1 year...

I hope you don’t mind me asking. My friends are wanting to create Fauchereves for a good while, but they don’t know much about the lore. They would like to know as much as they can so they can accurately create the Fauchereves.

Sure thing! Uuuuh, not sure where to start, time to word vomit!

Their hairs always white, mostly because of the lack of pigmentation in it, however they CAN dye it with stuff they find. Mud, Berries, Blood, ya know whatever. For a hunter that can be common to color it for camouflages, but usually they like to keep their white hair showing so they can recognize each other from a distance

Theyre very much pack beasts, they always have a tribe and its kinda rare (and not good for them) to be out on their own. Very social beasts are they, so much so they dont mind having other creatures join their group or even adopt pups of other species if found abandoned.

That said theyre very nomadic, they got that wanderlust and the want to experience new things. So usually theres at least one big travel in a fauchereves life before they decide where they want to settle down if they want to. They usually head to a new place, establish a community, then when its fully figured out, whoever wants to keep going can keep going and those who want to stay behind can

Their tails have a glowy fur fiber on them, but when they have a mate for life, its a mating ritual to comb/pull out those fibers (something about the other being their light in their life) its more tradition than anything, but held very sacred. so if theres a fauchereve with still a tail glowing but has a pup, mmm theres gonna be some discrimination of them being very irresponsible. UNLESS they adopted the kid cuz parents are gone, then its like ‘oh dang that sounds hard lets help you with that-’. Not even these beasts are immune from discrimination

Their eyecolor gambit runs usually  from grey to blue, theyre not the most colorful things out there. Which is where their clothes can usually show that off instead, known for being very heavily patterned

All of them have cheek marks with different symbols on them. Thats their name as it were. Fauchereves tend not to have names, usually if you talk to a crowd and be like ‘HEY YOU’ the one youre talking to’s ears will twitch and be like ‘what me?’ but if youre talking about them while theyre away from you, youd usually call them by their cheek from left to right, like Diamond-Star or Circle-Tear. Saying their ‘name’ to them to their face is the same effect of your mom calling you by your full name when youre in trouble. Doesnt feel very good.

That said about the symbols, theyre inherited from your parents. Your left from your mother and your right from your father. Yea sometimes that means some people have the same combos but hey, so do normal names sometimes. But another difference is they have different color tints as well, again running the gambit from black to blue. So while two people might have Diamond-Circle, one could have a grey diamond and a white circle while the other has a white diamond and a blue circle. When you have a mate, there’s a chance of the marks altering (people think its due to the mating ritual of tearing out the fur fibers does something to them) where they equal out to each other. Such as, one black symbol and one white symbol, post mating ritual theyre both grey. It’s a strange phenomenon that they dont entirely understand, but some of them see as like, physical evidence like a wedding ring that theyre the same color. Course sometimes ya just have the same color, that happens sometimes, but still.

Their hair are like horses in that it grows from the spine, like a mane, however the difference is it goes aaaallll the way from their head, down their spine and down their tail. Usually the tail hair doesnt grow as fast but it can if you dont cut it for like 100 years. So if you want you want a nice haircut, best groom wisely. You can still shave your head and yet still have a long spine mane since its not all connected to the head. Common practice in hunters is to keep the spine mane very short or shaved down so predators cant have something to grab on to, but leave short hair on top to still show themselves fellow fauchereves to their group

All of them have sharp black claws they can grow out willingly, for a normal fauchereve its not much, but for hunters theyre trained to grow them very fast. One of the signs as a pup they have a good chance to be a hunter.

Ah yes, tribe functions speaking of. There’s usually an Elder (despite the name, sometimes the elder can be younger than a lot of the others, just means leader) who’s the leader, duh, the Hunters who go out and get the food along with keeping the peace amongst the tribe (so kinda the police should need be), the caretakers who watch over the pups and the sick, the tailors who go find stuff around to make clothes, furniture, whatever supplies (their most popular and important job is the clothes though so thats why their title is tailor and not seamstress, also guys can have it too), and while those are the most important roles, there can be other roles depending on the tribe such as cooks, beast tamers, general sales, magic users, so on and so forth. Magic users is a rare role, but one that is very good. Not all fauchereves are equal, some have more talent than others in some categories. Take Reve, he has a huge gift in shapeshifting, something that cant be so easily done with normal fauchereves, so hed be considered a magic user. Some other magic user traits can be learning an element, being SUPER smart like, hyper intelligence, portal making, and so on. 

That said, if Reve was in a tribe and never was abandoned, he would have been a caretaker in his tribe. His dad was a hunter and his mom was a tailor. that’s where his hats from, from his mom and from her mom and her mom and so on. A family heirloom of tailors as it were. I guess he broke the cycle in more way than one.

okay, okay okay, okay. so here i go, idk if there will be a point in this but im gonna write it up anyways. so follow me down this weird half thought thur path or whatever

okay, so we know that tfatws takes place 6 months after endgame, long enough for things to no longer be new and the problems with what the avengers did (or undid if you prefer) are really setting in, not even a full year. the people who came back from the blip have only had 6 months to figure out whats going on, where their families were if they still had them, ect, ect and only 6 months for the people who were left behind to “adjust” to having everything ripped away from them. i do wonder about a lot of things from this time, but i doubt that we’ll get a ton of concrete answers about it.

anyways.

when we see sam in the opening action scene hes very confident and self-assured. hes in his element so to speak. hes strong, smart on his feet, and we see sam use his new wings as a shield multiple times which to me feels like either a kind of statement that sam doesnt need the shield or to show that he would be really good with the shield, it feels important somehow considering who important the shield becomes in the show.

also, the military guy tells sam that once the LAF get across the tunisia boarder its supposed to be a no-fly zone so to speak which is why it was important for sam to get him before which hints that not everywhere got rid of boarders. like, tunisia is in northern africa and when we meet the flag smashers later theyre mostly in eastern eurpoe and also torres makes a comment about things not being better during the blip and his american (im pretty sure) so again where these things are happening in relation to boarders and the like it still makes me think about how the world worked through the blip, but again probably wont get concrete answers.

also in this episode we see the first instance of sam being recognized for who he is by a man from tunisia (who im going to consider a character of color tho im not sure if this is considered accurate in the real world) and not recognized by white american men, this happens in episode two as well.

while the shield sort of becomes the super important symbol, we are also shown in this episode that steve has been kind put on a pseudo god-like position. yes, its a joke to ask if hes the moon of all places, but the whole “looking down on us”/”watching over us” feels a lot like the christian capital-G God. he has been put on this kind of pedestal by the people who really didnt know anything about him and also bucky (but hes been hanging by a thread for a while it seems so its a little different) in contrast to sam.

sam has a lot of respect for steve. he calls him courageous, righteous, and hopeful. the best in us because these emotions are supposed to inspire “good works” as it were. sam then states that the world needs new heroes for the current times and that symbols only have meaning because of the people who give them meaning. and upon my rewatch this feels sam want to preserve the meaning that steve, his friend, imbued into the shield but also wants to move forward. i do think that the fact that sam is a black man who is not treated very well by america plays into his decision as well, i also think the fact that we hear the lines from endgame:

- it feels like it belongs to someone else.

-it doesnt.

is important. right now im thinking that the shield is essentially meaningless because steve is gone for all intents and purposes and he dropped it without a second thought. like i get it, in terms of what the show is doing and like i said, how people who dont know steve would probably react but even so many weeks later it sits weird. even the dora milige left the shield behind even though its made of stolen vibranium, cause its just a thing. anyways...

rhodey, after the speech, parrots back at sam that they do live in a different time, but he thinks that this different time does require someone to carry the shield.

then we meet sams sister and his nephews. sam and his sisters relationship does hold a lot of tension between them but theres still so much love there as well. its very normal, reminds me of tension that i feel between myself and some of my family members and that i see between different family members as well.

sarah wilson is a black woman who, like many black women I know, have been holding things together the best she can with (seemingly) not much help. we know that sam left after their father died (i dont remember if their mother is also dead), he couldnt handle it as stated, so he went off and fought. but in being gone he sarah ran the business the best she could. shes also a widow, not sure when that happened but y'know thats there too.

but ii think that how sam feels about his familys home and boat in contrast with how he treated the shield kind of. sam references the boat as their familys legacy (sarah also calls their dad a 'giant' and that not mattering to the bank and probably others) and he doesnt want to let that go no matter what. however both of these are acts of preservation on sams part, just in different ways. he tried to let one go while desperately trying to hold on to the other, one to be put in stasis and one to move forward, grow, passed down ect, ect.

now sam really only tries to get involved with the flag smashers because he theyre super soldiers. and i guess youd call this the inciting incident part of act one.

now the next three episodes are very intertwinded in the plot and what kind of world sam would be becoming captain america in. sam makes an off handed comment that sharon, zemo, and bucky are more worldly than him but thats true. and he does have to...learn, is the best word i have. i mean, the most he can do right now is “make a call” as he puts it which really isnt a lot considering whats been going on.

and to backtrack (sorry if this is all over the place) we do see sam constantly empathizing with the flag smashers and more specifically karli consistently throughout the show. if they werent super soldiers hed not have crossed their path the way that he did. throughout the show, well before episode 4, sam is really focused on like where exactly the super soldiers are coming from, the fact that the flag smashers are stealing money, and food, and medicine he doesnt really care.

when he has his heart to heart with karli the main problem that he has honestly, is the murders (and i do wish that there was distinction made cause that is important, but i know that in show sam probably doesnt know that karli blew up a building with people tied up in it like we do but its important that we know that), when he says that the killings wouldnt make the world better just different along with karli saying “theyre roadblocks on my journey and id kill them again if i had to” (which is 1. very dehumanizing, 2. she says 'my' and not 'our', and 3. she didnt have to kill these low level workers) is more  a restructuring of power instead of dismantling it.

like theres a lot here but my minds not connecting fully.

i know the show isnt over so ii dont really have a conclusion (i honestly havent even said half of what I took notes about) but its like 4 am here and I gotta go to bed. And I dont want this ti be multiple parts right now I just needed to get this outta my system lol.

"See, I told you a little water will cool her off." Other kids began to laugh at me. I sat in a puddle soaked with a cut knee. "Ooo, looks like she's going to cry now. I didn't know she can do that, with her quirk and all."

More kids began to laugh at me. I balled my fists up tight, trying to hold it in. But I couldn't, not this time. I looked back to her, long tongue and all, and I felt the rage. I was a walking inferno, the water under me sizzling before it turned to steam, then it was gone.

The fire around me turned black, its never done that before. "He-hey Tsukihi, just chill out." She said to me like it was nothing.

"Fire doesn't chill" I said, gritting my teeth, I yelled "I'm sick of you treating me like I'm nothing! Well I'm done holding back." And there was a wave of five.

Most of the other kids backed away enough, but not her. She yelled out in pain as her hand and arm was in front of her, as if to stop me. "Let me see you use that quirk now, whats a long tongue good for anyways?" I said walking up to her.

I blinked away the memory. That seemed like such a long time ago, being only six the time. My name is Tenshi Tsukihi (Angel Moonfire) and my quirk is holy fire, and another one. Holy fire is white, and turns black at its hottest. In the age of Heroes everyone wanted one thing, to be famous. Heroes with flashy quirks made the big money, and I was determined to be one of those future heroes.

But where there are heroes there will always be villains.  My quirk would be good for that, turning over to the dark side. The thought about it turned my stomach, I didn't want to hurt people. Sometimes it just happened.

I got off of the bus, having to walk a block to get to my Junior High. I don't have many friends. Any friends actually, just one, but he's more like a brother to me. An outcast just like I am, in his own mind. My actual, older brother is Father's favorite.

I hear them, other students, whisper things, about me, and him. About my hair, because grey like fire smoke. Or his because its two colors. I sat at my desk, looking out the window waiting for it to be over already.

We'll be leaving soon, headed off to High School, and anyone worth fighting for with a quirk will be trying to get into UA. Hero Track.

"I will be passing out the curser altitude test, third year students are required to take it." Our teacher said passing them out. There were groans and whines, every one here was out to try and be a hero.

Others began to write and scribble on it, but not me. "Tsukihi? Not interested." Our teacher said looking over.

"No. Im going to be in UA."

"Bit cocky for someone who doesn't ever use her quirk." A boy said, I looked over to him, grabbing the paper on my dest. Burning it.

"You were saying?" I said brushing my hands off from the ash. "You don't have the discipline it takes to get into a national league school like that. I've aced every practice test there is. And I have a glowing recommendation. Can you say the same?" I leaned back into my chair, as other kids laughed.

"You only got that recommendation because your boyfriends father is a pro hero!" He spat out, my hand was then engulfed in flames.

"He's not my boyfriend. I got that recommendation because I'm powerful. I can use my powers to my advantage, and if i wanted to, I can be his sidekick." my arm became inflamed, "You think you can take me on? I'd like to see you try." I grunted standing up.

Everyone knows he was the stupid one, yet somehow I'm the bad guy. They muttered at me, whispering at my temper, funny think is, I wasn't even yelling. "Miss Tsukihi, please reframe from using your powers in school you know the rules."

I groaned but put my hand out, arms crossed and looking out the window. Shouto would be getting into the same school. We do have the same person who gave us their recommendation after all. His father.

I was put out with a fire extinguisher, full of foam looking up to one of the teachers. Angry but out. They rushed to her, looking at the burn I gave her, concern on their faces while she cried out. She started it, and I finished it. Sort of. Yet I was the bad guy in this?

I can tell by the look on their faces, the fear, the smug look of knowing what I'd become. They always said it. 'She'll be a villain, just like her uncle.' And I hated it.

No one bothered to ask me about my side of the story. All the other kids took her side, saying it was my fault. They just took me strait to the office and called my dad. I was sticky from the foam suds that had long bubbled out. 'Fire demon.'

My uncle used to call me that, before he was put away. I gritted my teeth holding back tears. I wasn't going to end up like him. I wasn't. I wanted to be a hero to prove to everyone I can be good.

"What you did was wrong. I don't ever want you to use your powers unless I'm here. You've hurt that little girl very bad. She'll have a scar there. A burn mark you put on her. You're turning out to be just like my brother." My father said as he picked me up. "Fire demon."

It broke me to hear him say that. But thats not the worst of it. I gripped my hands balling them into fists. Tears ran down my face as I looked away so he wouldn't see me cry. I never wanted to give him that satisfaction.

I was walking with Shouto, the only person who knows my story. My full story. He's the only person I trust. And normally when we walk home theres never anything going on, we live in a fairly controlled city. Small villains, with your normal big bad guy here and there.

Per tradition we get food from our favorite street vender, then a drink from our local store. We made it a point to try everything on the menu at least once.

"I heard about what happened in class, sorry I wasn't there to see it." He chuckled taking a sip of his drink, making it cold. Chilling mine next.

"He's just being mean. Im over it." I said taking a sip smiling to him as my thanks. "Besides, its not like he'll make it in."

He shoved me, making me laugh. "Come on, we have homework to finish."

hp update: its been a long time, boys. ud think that with this plague outbreak id have more time for shitty phone games, and ud be right! however, the time i normally might use to make tumblr posts has been taken up by reading lotr orc fanfiction non-stop for at least 1 full month. id still be in the thick of that obsession even now if only the fics would update. that is how i find you today folks, for the first time in many weeks i am staring at a screen with nothing to do. so come with me friends, theres no better way to fill the soulless void we are all in than reading a nice long tumbler post. 

disclaimer, first of all, a lot has happened, i prefer to keep these updates as plot spoiler free as possible but do to extenuating circumstances i feel like it is necessary to say, [SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER BELOW]

that rowan fucking died,

i wont say exactly how, but i will say that her death was animated as were animations of myself and a few others reacting to our friend fresh corpse. obviously meant to be serious moments but the animations made it seem almost comical. 

i saw at least one post going around right after this update that was like ‘how could the game devs do this to us..... how could they hate rowan so.... this is punishment from on high’ and its like.... u guys do know what a story is right? the events of  a story are not typically done to punish less faithful fans, im pretty sure they were planning to kill rowan off from the beginning. this isnt disney im pretty sure the writers are not writing each chapter the night before its released by popular vote. 

that little “are we drifting away..?” scene with rowan makes more sense now. there was a bit in one of the scenes where the kids all reminisce on rowans life and the mc talks about it being the last real one on one time they had with rowan. a nice bitter sweet moment. i dont hate this turn of events. its a good reminder that actions have consequences and we are way past they days of “should i wear a hat or scarf?” its YA time now. 

i did manage to take 1 screenshot from this time, i had commented that before that when rowan said she didnt have many friedns that barnaby seemed to be hanging out with her without be there as a friend buffer and here was his reaction to her death:

the funniest part in all of this however, was of course cedericks reaction to rowans death “but she was so young....” LOL fuckin RIP.

lets see... what else.... i forget a lot of what happened but i think there was a time sensitive quidditch event in there somewhere? if so i  dont remember it. what i do remember of the quidditch pals is that im gonna play beater now, skye is being weird and cagey about it, andre is involved.... the others are there.....

sidenote, i love the shitty b characters they throw in to be like yes you know this person but no they are not cool enough for u to even think about befriending. the first one of those is face paint kid, and now we have another, who is a former beater girl with horrible bangs named bean who didnt go to any classes for a whole season so she could just play ball 24/7 and got kicked off the team.  this is a character who only exists to provide an explanation as to why there would be a beater position open but i love them on principle. 

right now im in the midst of another time sensitive event, this one is a bother-your-brother-at-work-day event where recent hogwarts graduate bill weasley is bullied by myself and his younger brother charlie into letting us go with him on one of his curse breaking jobs. 

so for those unfamiliar, bill works for the magical bank of england.... and his job seems to be “retrieving treasure” for said bank. in the books, there is a bit where he takes his family on one of his trips to egypt, where his job seemed to have been tomb plundering indiana jones style for the posterity of the english bank :X. i wont explain here why thats bad but its bad. 

the game devs however in this instance, at least SEEM to be doing what jkr couldnt do by attempting to salvage what is left of gringotts bank and form it into not a super shitty implications factory run by horrible jewish caricatures. bills mission is to retrieve a goblin made artifact that was taken by dragons, so no going to foreign countries to steal things from other people! only going to a dragon reserve to rifle through animal nests. they even appear to be providing us with a likable goblin character, egad!  

my hope for this event is that we get a plotline about how maybe, goblins arent shifty human haters for no reason, and in fact they hate magic humans for very understandable reasons, like being forced to go into hiding with the rest of the magical world even though only the humans wanted to do that, and maybe despite running the bank in england they still dont have a lot of political sway in the world of wizards and witches, and have to rely on the faith that said wizards and witches wont fuck them over at every turn, even as they see how they treat other non-humans, such as house elves, which they desperately dont want to end up like. and maybe they DONT only care about gold... maybe thats a human stereotype based on the fact that theres a long history of humans not respecting goblin ownership customs.... which i could get into..... but i wont.... i just....... very badly dont want them to suck ;__________;

i know i said its ok to still like a piece of media as long as you recognize the problems with it, and i do, but once this game is done im gonna stop hp posting all together. ive been feeling more and more uncomfortable making these posts lately.  

GENERAL GAME NOTES; theres been some new layout changes and such. 

most notably the stairs screen has been changed from a bulleted list of all locations to a screen with tiles picturing an image of each location along with the name + icons of all classes at each place. there is one additional location that is new and yet to be unlocked, and the dragon reservation is appearing temporarily as its own tile as well. i prefer this method of getting in and out of a temporary location to how they did it with car during the last christmas special. the stairs icon also now stays in the corner when you scroll through locations, allowing you to open the stairs menu without scrolling all the way back to the left. 

they also moved a few of the buttons down into the lower left corner rather than the left side & combined the story button and sidequest button. they added a little camera button as well, just like in the dormitory, that makes all the icons in a location disappear and look better for screenshots. 

the daily special add offer thing now has its own button in the top right corner of the screen, and idk if i mentioned it before but now there are daily challenges that appear in the sidequest screen that offer small rewards for completing 3 tasks per day + a better one if u get all 3. the prizes are things like 4 energy, 75 coins, 3 monster food. the better rewards are usually either more coins, 8 energy, 3 gems, or 1 notebook. i think that it does all the different color notebooks but i cant remember for sure if i ever saw the gold one up as a reward. i like this addition in any case. if you dont pick up ur reward by the end of the day, the next time u log on it will force u to stop and accept them, and if one of the rewards is energy and ur energy bar is full, it does not seem to stack beyond the bar so watch out.

 the character stats page is now more zoomed out so you can see your full character instead of just from the waist up. no change to the leaderboard. rowans face in the friendship roster is now a still black and white image that says ur friend may be gone but friendship is forever u-u. 

rowan has been removed from all classes. in the classes where the minigames involved her, those minigames have passed the mantle onto other friends in the class. in potions that person is now liz helping u find stuff off the shelves and in tranfiguration that person is badeea. bless these girls for helping mc get through it. touched my heart. 

theres been a few fun little “i know u have more free time now so uhhhh have some energy” prizes like they do sometimes when they dont update on schedule so thats been nice. just a few days ago they gifted us 3 gold notebooks the same way. :O. 

theres also been a few instances of a energy happy hour where for a limited time energy takes less time to refresh. normally it takes 4 mins for 1 energy to do this but during happy hour its like 2:30 mins. :U its all very interesting.

and that will have to do it for tonight my friends, ill do a post for the dragon event when its done because i do like it so far and i do like getting to bully bill with charlie.

favorite book 2 get lost in: not to steal cam's answer but pjo books ... that's where the magic is at. another one is sophie's world by jostein gaarder.

favorite chill out tv show: i dont have any tbh but i will say i love period dramas films so that can range to pride and prejudice (2005) or the mummy (1999) i dont discriminate hfnng.

best advice you've ever had: i think it's a recollection between my grandma always telling me "cada casa es un mundo" (roughly: each house is it's own world) and "treat people the way you want to be treated". i want to believe it makes me more understanding abt ppl's feelings cause u dont know what someone is going through, so i try to treat ppl kindly. and to never forget to take a step aside when its necessary. you dont need to be anyone's savior; just be there for them and support them when you can.

-lmao, freakshow is in actual prison. I didn't expect a follow up, or for him to show back up! in the finale of this season, too!

-THE SICK TATTOO GHOST IS NAMED LYDIA!!! more Lore On her. freakshow seemed genuinely concerned about her. also, is she mute? I don't think she talked the first time we saw her, either. and we didn't know freakshow 'envied' ghosts, either, the first time, we just knew he was controlling them. interesting!

-...they literally stole the infinity gauntlet from marvel and called it the reality gauntlet. is that legal. what the fuck. even with the gems in the lil slots, having different powers...they had freakshow in jail, but didnt check his pockets??! hes just still in his lil outfit??? what kind of ...oh, its in amity park. yeah, all of the adults are idiots, okay, sure.

-'freakshow!' 'in the anemic flesh!' dude take some iron pills then. also, sure, the red eyes could be contacts for his aesthetic, but the whites of his eyes are yellow! does he have jaundice?! he severely needs more...like, every kind of vitamin. (this is what im worried about as freakshow attacks danny with giant robots)

-again, goth circus is a sick theme, and I love his goth train.

-oh FUCK every single person saw danny transform. on a stage. including his parents via TV. oh god. the guys in white and immediately like 'youre coming in for experiments!' SCARY. at least the crowd is willing to help him to escape...perks of now being a local celeb! even the kids at school are accepting :) this is what, the third time his family has found out? its always been an alt timeline tho. and danny fully intending to just rewrite things again instead of...I dunno, trying to roll with it this time? hes really worried his family won't accept him, huh...

-side note (another one about voice actors...) freakshow's voice actor, Jon Cryer, was lex luthor in pretty much every DC tv show, which is why I recognized his voice, because my dad loves those shows so I've seen a good bit of them without seeking them out...)

-the old man saying 'hey, i still had minutes left!' and danny saying 'you gotta watch those roaming charges!' about danny destroying the people in the diner's phones so no one could report seeing him...would kids today understand these things. can you even BUY minutes anymore...I remember my first phone being a flip phone, and the fact I always had minutes when my sister ran out super fast, because I didnt have friends calling or texting me like she did...:/

-the fentons being genuinely like 'why didnt danny trust us and tell us this, we love him :(' and JAZZ LAYING INTO THEM WITH THE 'DISSECTION/MOLECULE BY MOLECULE' LINES. LITERALLLLY. they need to apologize

-technically, lydias stronger than you! -jazz lesbianism moments! when did you even learn her name!!! but also get freakshows ass. lydia is also cooler looking. looove her design sm still.

-jazz psychoanalyzing freakshow... (also, her also having ghost envy? au where jazz is a ghost!! id like to see it)

-im glad the kids still got to go to their respective vacation things, even if they cant really stick around and enjoy them much...

-furry: confirmed. (also tucker calling her hot. tucker is a furry confirmed)

-danny being mad someone at the comic con is selling comics of him without permission, lmfao. give him his royalties!

-freakshow > thanos because hes a drama clown and does use his gauntlet to be FLASHY AND DRAMATIC.

-jazz's 'USE PYSCOLOGY' to danny about freakshow LMAOO. AND THEN IT WORKING. but, oh, freakshow's ghost form sucks. I like him as a clown better tbh. good thing danny took away his ghost powers!

-his parents hugging him and saying theyre proud :"( and saying 'of course you lied to us, we never gave you a reason not to!' and saying they were in the wrong basically for always talking about hurting ghosts aaaa :""(

-then he WIPED THEIR MEMORIES AGAIN!!! FUCK. I can understand him wiping the goverments/student bodies' memories, but why his parents?? they were being accepting!! ARGHHH. season 3 couldve been them all trying to adjust to them knowing!

-I know, on a meta level the showrunners probably wanted to just reset things to the status quo of him having a secret identity. But. We've been doing that for (2) seasons, I'd love if season 3 could be like, his parents adjusting to this and trying way harder to learn more and accept it (and the shenanigans that could come from that) and for fun, if he didn't wipe the students memories, it could be him being popular for a while, then everyone slowly realizing, oh, he's still Danny. Like. he might have ghost powers but hes Just The Same Guy instead of putting him on a pedestal (and seeing them all try and help him hide it from the giw/people who don't know!!)

-fuck they didn't even explain WHY he wiped everyone except sam, tucker and jazz's memories. he just Did It right when his parents were saying they loved/accepted him!! and sam and tucker didnt question it at all!!! HELLO??? very annoyed about this turn of events.

-anyway. onto season 3! I know its shorter than the first two seasons, and is the last season... I might just do it in 2 bursts if I can... :3c depends on the episodes' content and how much I want to say about each!
