atsushi has a strong desire to live sure but also thinks that itd just be better (and that he deserves to) if he went and died in a ditch

becuz of this, so close to death, atsushi has little will to fight

mayhaps he's been feeling not good for a while but didnt realize how not good

anyway thats not important whats important is as per the ability he can still observe the world and the ppl he might leave as a ghost of sorts

he's floating around the hospital or following his friends, observing

he watches as kyouka cries holding his body's hand, begging him to fight, begging him to not leave and leave her alone - refusing to leave his side until someone has to take her away

he watches kenji try to pretend every things fine - reassuring anyone who'll listen that atsushi is strong - and talk to atsushi as if he's simply closing his eyes for a bit - seemingly in denial about everything

he watches junichiro alternate between trying to comfort everybody, trying to process everything and having fits of rage and hurt where he screams and yells and completely breaks down

he watches kunikida be there for anyone and everyone and try to continue as normally as he can but always being a little off - a little too slow, a little too tired - but still putting up a front until its just him and atsushi's body and he's apologizing for letting this happen begging atsushi to wake up

he watches dazai's face stay blank the entire time he's there only to drink more and more and get scarier and scarier - visit oda and ask the stone what to do - curse his own ability for not stopping the ability thats hurting atsushi - being too scared to go anywhere near atsushi in the fear that atsushi's regenerational abilities will stop working and he'll hurt even more

he watches ranpo put up a strong face - take on more cases - find the ability user quickly but be unable to find any other way for atsushi to get better other than just getting better - he knows theres no way but still he pushes it becuz there has to be but even the ability user breaks down in a session w/ him and dazai and admits there isnt but there has to be

he watches yosano try and heal him over and over - through her ability and her actual knowledge in being a doctor - watches her stay by his side through everything - there to fix any small inconvenience he may have like a too bright room or a non fluffy pillow, waiting, obsessively checking his vitals

he watches the president hold everyone together - keep the ada floating and offering support to anyone who wants it - watches his face grow more and more tired as he waits - as they all wait - watches him visit atsushi's body and give him updates on whats happening, waiting

he watches naomi fill his room with gifts, keeping a bright smile on her face whenever she enters only for it to drop the second she's far away enough so that when he wakes up he cant see it

watches the clerks take turns visiting him w/ gifts and encouragement, helping the president hold down the agency, while trying to be strong

watches lucy spill hot tea on her hands because she's worrying about him again - watches her get upset and angry when anyone so as much hints that atsushi won't get up - watches her talk to him and try to convince him to wake up

and atsushi grieves becuz of his own lack of understanding on how loved he has become

akutagawa doesn't falter when he learns about atsushi and atsushi kind of wishes he did - when he sees atsushi he doesn't blink or react, simply nods and leaves - and atsushi feels strange at having confirmation that he does not matter much to him - sometimes akutagawa visits - not always and never in a pattern - random and quick visits where he only watches atsushi for a moment before leaving - in the end, atsushi follows him becuz watching the ada and lucy gets too hard - he expects akutagawa to go about his day, atsushi in the back of his mind - maybe a little concern for him as his partner but nothing to fret about

atsushi spends his day with akutagawa wishing he could reach out and touch him and hold im as he watches one of the strongest people he knows give in to their grief and fall apart, with no agency members to see him, no friend there to see what akutagawa surely calls his weakness, only him, atsushi's ghost, and gin's hurried footsteps as she comes home

im not a doctor in any way but i do wanna say that impulsive thoughts do have some reasoning for being there, though it may be extremely stupid and dangerous. ((btw im not talking about what causes the lack of self control, im talking about why the impulsive thoughts are that thought.)) most impulses come from either the seeking of some feeling (most often hysteria, thrill, or humor) or experiencing things you havent (such as what does this feel like? what happens to me if i do this? you may already know by common sense, but the curiosity isnt calmed by that) but other impulses like stealing not only come from the possible thrill, but the reward of it. the entire reason stealing is such a strong and common impulse is because you know the item youre stealing has some value to you, its instinct to take what can benefit you. even when blurting random shit out, theres a reason your brain thought of it in the first place. but most of the time impulsive thoughts are from craving thrill or curiosity. !!!importantly: what the brain perceives as having somee sort of reaction depends on how disordered and nurtured the mind is. its unique per person

this is not only why hydes impulses arent the same 4 things over and over, but why a lot of impulses are really strange and unusual. because of jekylls stress of maintaining an extremely respectable and gold hearted genius rep. and the amount of hours he spends working on this, it makes sense for his and therefore hydes impulses and desires to be the opposite, something risky and dangerous and frowned upon. to get some form of euphoria or freedom he typically doesnt get but craves ohhhh he craves it so bad. but this can be literally anything, not just violence and drugs. it can range from physical or psychological self harm to breaking furniture to eating unsanitary and inedible things to mocking people to literallylyly anythinggg!!!!

He often let his lord in dangerous with excuse “its not my job to joining battle”,he also like to lets a villain enter his lord territory because he want watch his lord beat up a villain who think they can take down his lord. He is friended with Rikyu Gundam and he kinda hate his lord behavior that do what he like without think that his decision are too risky and hate when his lord parking the flying castle wrong way.

Made a Grumpus OC

They're just one of few of them..not sure if I'll draw any of them, I drew them because..I'm bored

I have a grumpsona in mind..but I'm not finish with it's design

I guess I'll explain them

Amly Ductforce(I'm bad at names) came to Snaktooth island because they were bored and needed a vacation from their "job"

He's gender-fluid and doesn't mind people getting his pronouns wrong when he doesn't feel that gender, but some just call him a "They" and that's fine by him

One thing that she's really good at, is lying and stealing. When she came to Snaktooth Island, she started her hobby right away and stole some things from Wambus which got him pretty upset

He gives everyone nicknames despite not liking anyone besides Cromdo

She likes order yet enjoys chaos, sometimes, she would plant random objects that belong to the residents in each other's huts to start up something

When the town split, he went to the Boiling Bay due to the nice warm yet cold feel to it and because she wanted to steal stuff from Floofty

They're probably in their late 40s early 50s

Her and Cromdo get along for the most part as long as she doesn't steal anything from him

In their hut, they have a lot of stolen objects, most from Wambus

Their hut is beside Liz and Egg's hut but is to the right of the beach

If he was in the game, then you'd meet them the same time you meet Floofty

She doesn't like Lizbert because she always calls her out on the stuff she steals, same for Beffica

Due to his hatred to Lizbert, he shares the same hatred towards Eggabell but doesn't go out his way to steal from her, seeing her as too fragile

He's scared of Chandlo(because he would snap her like a twig), Shelda(because she acts like a cult leader), and Gramble(because he's too nice)

If they get caught stealing, they lie about it and theres a 90% chance it'll work due to their confident sounding voice and being a bit manipulative

"I heard of Lizzie's stupid conspiracy on TV, I was about to change the channel when I heard there was an island involved, and I just so happened to be looking for a place to host my vacation. So I packed up and lied about being interested in her expedition."

"My life. My job. My family. Everything basically."

Thoughts on Bugsnax?

"I guess they're ok, the names could be better..but some taste pretty good. Note, keep away from the Aggroll."

Why?

"Because those things will break some bones and the flavor isn't even worth it! Also because it's named after someone I'm not found of."

Why did you leave town?

"I could handle the drama between Wamby and Gram, but once Cromy left, I had no reason to stay. I wanted to follow him, but I decided to live near the beach instead, so yeah."

What do you think about Cromdo?

"Me and him have a pretty decent relationship, I give him what he wants and he takes the fall for me. Simple business."

Are you planning on betraying him?

"No way, he's cool, I don't consider him a friend, but he's still great to work with."

Any info on Lizbert?

"Liz..I grumping hate her! She keeps saying I stole stuff from her, I would never do such a thing! If she didn't have that little obstacle beside her, I would burn her hut down!"

Woah, calm down. Who's this obstacle?

"I am calm..just speaking out my mind. And I'm talking about Eggabell. The doctor? Lizzie's girlfriend? Eggy bell? Yeah. She and her are like..two papers in a file. Theres nothing you can do to separate those two."

"If we're being honest, I'm not sure."

"Heh. For once in my life, no. I really don't know what happened to Lizzie, she went up that mountain and didn't come back."

What's your favorite part of Dorohedoro?

literally any scene between kasukabe and jonson because their interactions are just,, very endearing. i love the doctor man and his giant cockroach son

theres also not one specific bad guy which i think is really cool. the 'villains' you do see are fairly sympathetic, and everyone in the story is just trying to survive when theyre all brought together by one weird amnesic lizard man. the reader is kind of just thrown into this strange and depressing world and they're left to unravel it just like kaiman. the world is so dark and charming at the same time. like the hole is a literal shithole but something about it feels so cozy the worldbuilding is top tier

also this one panel in the manga where someone yells "throw the fucking ball!!" at fujita. the story isn't about baseball at all there's just a random baseball arc thrown in there akdhgsjagdga

By the time Christmas arrived Nova found herself not wanting to leave Hogwarts. The temptation to further explore the castle while hardly anyone was there was too great to resist. But also most of her friends were going home for the holidays and it just wouldn't be the same.

"What are you going to do as soon as you get home?" Nova asked as she finished settling Apollo's cage in place.

"Oh I do hope my parents have set up the tree I really want to decorate it." Adeline said as she took a seat with her brother and Jamie sat beside them.

"I'll probably have to help my parents at the shop, believe it or not it gets crazy around Christmas time." Pam sighed as she took a seat beside Nova making Cedric take her other side.

Nova smiled, pleased that Pam was starting to become more open about her parents profession. She remembered how that conversation went down shortly after they became friends.

"You know if you shine them under a red light it'll give you tips on how to do certain tricks." Pam said as she saw Nova begin to play with her cards one day as they opted to spend their time in the dormitory.

"Really?" Nova asked, suddenly looking at the backs of the card.

She had had this deck for the longest time and was always curious about the strange markings on the back of the cards.

"How do you know that?" Nova asked after a moment of silence.

"My dad showed me." Pam said simply, her expression was hesitant the way it usually got when she wasn't sure if she should share certain information with Nova yet.

“My parents own the magic shop. They have a special printer for the cards.” She finally caved watching Nova’s expression.

It took a minute for the information to settle into Nova’s head then she cracked a smile and Pam pouted.

“Forgive me but you have to admit the situation is a bit ironic in a funny way.” Nova slightly giggled. “I mean what are the odds a family who does muggle magic end up with a witch for a daughter. I bet they just thought you were a natural at everything they taught you.”

Pam smiled sheepishly. “Yeah pretty much. They had no idea until the ministry person showed up.”

“What about you?” Cedric asked, interrupting her memory.

“Pardon?” Nova asked, blinking her eyes as she remembered what they were talking about.

“What will you do when you get home?” Cedric asked curiously. Nova had quickly found out that Cedric was always fascinated with all her stories of the muggle world.

“Well as much as I would love to start decorating for Christmas.” Nova began as she slumped against the seat. “I did ask my parents to record any of my programs that I’ve missed and then to buy any movie that has come out recently. I'm not sure how much I have to catch up on.”

“Oh why didn’t I think of that.” Jamie frowned. “And we got a new vhs player before I went to Hogwarts this year.”

"Programs?" Cedric asked his brows furrowing in confusion. "Movie? VHS?"

All the girls giggled as he continued to look around utterly confused.

"Oh you should all come visit me for a weekend. We could show Cedric around London and show him our favorite movies." Nova said perking up at the idea of at least still having an adventure with her friends over the holidays.

Nova quickly pulled out a piece of paper and began to scribble out her phone number.

"Here, give me your numbers as well so I can call as soon as I get an answer from my parents." She handed out small slips to all the girls. "And I'll send you a letter through Apollo as soon possible."

Cedric nodded though he seemed upset he didn’t get a slip of paper. Half of the train ride back was spent wondering the train checking in with friends they hadn’t been able to squeeze in the compartment. Nova made mental lists of which friends to send at least small gifts to. The Weasley kids had warmed up to Nova over the course of their time at Hogwarts and she remembered their father really enjoyed muggle artifacts. It would seem Apollo would have his wings full this holiday, Nova just hoped he was up to the task.

In the end everyone was almost resisting the urge to separate. They went through the secret entrance in pairs and huddled as closely together as possible as they looked for their parents. Hugging each other tightly before saying goodbye. When Nova finally let go of Pam she rushed over to her parents and hugged them tightly.

“How was your first semester at Hogwarts?” Her father asked once they pulled away from the embrace.

“So much fun!” Nova said bouncing in place, her parents chuckled as they walked towards the car.

“The castle is ginormous, I don't think I’ve fully explored it all. I almost wanted to stay for the holidays.” Nova began as soon as they were all in the car. “Would it be okay if I stay during the Easter holidays? I mean we don’t really celebrate it much.”

“We’ll see sweetheart.” Her mother said and Nova slightly noticed her tone of discipline? What was that about?

“I was also wondering if my friends could come during one of the weekends. We have a pure blood friend and we want to show him around London and muggle stuff.” Nova continued but paused when she felt a strange silence spreading between her parents.

They glanced at each other nervously as if not sure how to bring up something.

“What’s wrong?” Nova asked.

“We’ll stardust theres something we need to speak to you about.” Her father cleared his throat.

“You see we received quite a number of letters from your Head of House Professor Snape.” Her mother continued.

“You mean Mr. Snape.” Nova grumbled under her breath.

“Nova!” Her mother reprimanded her.

“I’m sorry but last I checked Mr. Snape does not have an actual doctorate.” Nova huffed.

“Would you call Professor McGonagall, Mrs. McGonagall?” Her father inquired.

“Heavens no I do value my life.” Nova said.

“Right, well Professor Snape has sent us… many letters regarding your behavior in school.” Her mother continued.

“My behavior?” Nova asked wondering what she could have dont that would warrant a letter to her parents.

“Apparently you bewitched a chalkboard to do something?” Her father finally said and it suddenly clicked.

“I can’t believe he gets away with this.” Nova fumed as she left the potions class. “Just because I try to correct something and suddenly he takes points away from Gryffindor? The twins weren’t even doing anything during this lesson.”

“Don’t stress Nov.” Fred said.

“Yeah Snape takes points from our house all the time.” George said.

“Its still not fair.” Nova huffed thinking about how Snape needed a taste of his own medicine.

It suddenly clicked and Nova paused.

“Oh whatcha thinking?” Pam asked, eyeing the look Nova had on her face.

“I need a large chalkboard.” Was all Nova said and they quickly went hunting for one.

Nova bewitched the chalkboard in a way that would add points towards certain heads of house, then she hung it over the glass tubes that kept the score of the houses. Nova started to give points to all her professors making sure to score everyone high but keeping Snapes in the negatives. In the end Snape eased up a bit and nova retired the chalkboard much to everyone’s dismay. Though she kept it tucked away just in case.

“Well?” Her mother asked, waiting for Nova to explain herself.

“If you think I made it write something vulgar I didn't.” Nova said then continued to explain what it is that really happened.

By the end of her tale her father had to fight back the urge to laugh and her mother was a strange mixture of worry, disappointment, and annoyance.

“Why haven’t you told us how Professor Snape has been treating you?” Her mother asked.

“Didn’t seem important at the time. IfI had known he was sending letters every time I had a thought about his methods of brewing potions, then I would have sent one right along about how big of git he is.”

“Nova.” Her mother reprimanded again while her father disguised his laugh as a cough.

“Well he’s definitely no Slughorn.” Her father said to lighten the mood.

“Does this mean my friends can’t come over?” Nova asked as she realized why her parents had been in such a strange mood when she was asking to spend time with her friends.

“Well.” Her mother sighed, wondering what to do now that she knew Novas' side. “Why don't you give your father and I a day to think about it.”

In the end her parents caved, as long as Nova kept them more up to date over what happened during her classes. Nova was surprised to know that Adeline didn’t live that far from her and was able to visit her more frequently. They both alternated between going to visit Pam and having Pam visit them. Though Nova had a mother who was basically considered muggle it was a bit of a strange experience meeting her friends parents.

Adelines parents seemed like smart people; they didn't seem to mind the fact that they had produced two magical children and instead tackled it as some new challenge. Meanwhile Pam's parents were enthusiastic that their daughter had turned out to perform real magic, they loved seeing the simple spells Novas father had to help around the house. Pam’s parents had also hoped that Pam's younger sister would also turn out to be gifted magically.

Though meeting the muggle parents had been a bit of giggle, traveling around London with Cedric. Nova, Adeline, Pam, Jamie, and evening a couple of Cedric friends had all spent a day together. They took the boys to a movie and made try as many muggle snacks as possible. Pam had even showed them how to mix their popcorn with certain candies. They also went to a mall and made them try on muggle clothes. In the end the boys had actually purchased a couple outfits.

“I want to live in London.” Cedric sighed as they drove away from the city.

“Im surprised Amos as never brought you before.” Novas father said peering at them through the rear view mirror. “With the way he speaks of you I think you just need ask and he’d consider moving.”

Cedric turned pink at the mention of his father and Nova scolded her own.

“I'm just saying.” Her father chuckled.

“You’re more than welcomed to come whenever you want.” Nova said, rolling her eyes at her father. “Trust me we haven’t even begun to scratch the surface with muggle things.”

“Sounds fun.” Cedric said smiling brightly at the thought.

Novas father glanced through the rear view mirror again and sighed softly at their familiar expressions. Ah kids.

thoughts on steven universe future

td;lr overall opinion: steven universe future is better than most of the original steven universe, especially seasons 3-5, but there are still some real iffy plotlines in future

i hate that the diamonds were redeemed but at the same time, the happy clouds blue and yellow putting gems back together scenes were so pure

it simultaneously warms my heart and infuriates me 

but we finally got a blue diamond song, god i love her voice

EDIT: also steven basically tortured white diamond and nearly killed her and it was pretty disturbing bc steven is 1. in a really bad mental state, like way darker than i thought they’d show him go, since this is technically a kids show and 2. was also kind of trying to hurt himself, which both hit me really hard bc i had similar periods of blazing anger, wanting to self harm and harm others that i felt had wronged me when i was a teenager, but its also what white deserves

ncsndlljklkcndkls i want to enjoy this show so bad but,,, steven having ptsd makes him a violent douche??? diamonds killed who knows how many gems in their reign and never really felt bad about it in original su but now they’re supportive life coaches??? no thank you

on more positive notes, i loved how priyanka described mental health and how she treated steven throughout the entire check up, she was so nonconfrontational and whenever he felt stressed she deescalated the situation,,, it was so good

the animation is the best its been since season 2. the poses are clean, very well drawn, and on model. there are more action scenes than like 90% of steven universe and they’re animated way better, like theres actual fighting and motion asjksacbcbj no one is stiffly posed, no one has strange proportions, no one is drastically changing sizes in between shots (well besides steven in growing pains onward but when he does change size its supposed to be like that lol)

i liked seeing the real roses but didnt love it? i wish we saw more of the roses designs up close, and i wish they fit a little more with the other quartzes? it might be just because its era 3, but the roses were all way more unique than jaspers and amethysts generally seem to be. i like that they were more unique designs and had different personalities, but surely the diamonds wouldnt have tolerated that back in era 1 or even era 2, had the rose quartzes not been bubbled? also i get that they’re reminiscent of pink bc she created them, but hippie and superfan were so naive, more so than other quartzes. if each quartz group was slightly different, it would make a little more sense tbh like if quartzes were the entire gem army, but each group was slightly different. i always liked the idea that rose quartzes were either the defense or the healers of the gem army.

little homeschool and guidance were fun and genuinely enjoyable, considering not a whole ton happens in them. i wish townie episodes had been more like them. like you could replace the gems with random humans, but it would still be a fun episode? idk, maybe involving the humans in gem stuff wouldve made better townie episodes, like lars and the cool kids. it wouldve probably helped steven feel more “human” too, if the human and gem worlds collided a bit more in the series.

bluebird was... an ok episode, but im not sure how well it will fit into what i feel like the end will be, where every episode of future featured someone steven helped or affected in some way, and they all come together to help steven when he corrupts. or rather, i guess if bluebird did say something, it would feel more hollow bc steven didnt help them lol the gems and universes were just friendly to them, and thats it. it wasnt as bad as a very special episode (my least favorite episode of future), but it felt like a townie episode with no townies LOL at least we got a new fusion i guess

a very special episode was just,,, infuriating. there was that weird football scene where they just like,,, talk about screen resolution for a minute then play the full commercial for little homeworld we just saw last episode???? i did genuinely enjoy the rainbow scenes, but it just built up to not nothing. oh no, it was something alright. the whole episode was just future vision and then theres like a minute long psa??? it felt like that wacky randomness that would have happened in like, ok ko, teen titans go, or clarence jaskjcbkcjbskb

mr universe is tied with dear old dad episode as my least favorite greg episode. i get how both of them feel. greg wanted to tell steven about how he escaped from his miserable childhood and remade who he was, no longer a demayo but a universe. the problem imo was that greg became way too absorbed in the past. it reminds me a bit of s1 pearl, how she’d proudly recount gem battles and basked in the glory of fighting for their freedom, but she struggled when she had to recount the more unsavory parts of war. and that really affected amethyst, since she didnt fight in the glorified war pearl told her and steven about. amethyst was the byproduct of one of the bad parts of the war, and that became part of her identity, until on the run, where pearl finally realized that she needed to tell amethyst that she wasnt bad. amethyst’s creation may have fractionally hurt the earth, but that wasnt her fault. it wasnt her fault that she emerged too late to fight either. and it wasnt her fault that she existed. sounds familiar to to stevens rant in the van. 

steven didnt ask to be made. he didnt ask to be the half gem half human son of a diamond. but he grew up being told about how great his mom was, and that while no one would ever say it, she was gone because of him. to create steven, rose had to die. it was roses decision, but as the product of that decision, steven feels responsible. not only that, but being told constantly about his amazing mother, steven felt like he had to live up to her, had to be like her, had to replace her in the gems and greg’s lives. throughout the series, steven is constantly either trying to be like his mother, until he realizes its ok to be himself. but then the question is posed; is steven even himself? or is he still part of rose? and once he finds out that he’s steven, and has always been steven, he’s still reeling from the realization that his mother was pink diamond. and that really shows in future, where steven is becoming like pink. at first he doesnt even know, because besides the jungle moon dream, him and the audience never knew about this side of pink. this angry, short tempered, diamond who lashes out mostly physically. and unlike before, no one’s telling steven about pink (besides pink pearl) hes finding out firsthand, and this pink mode is basically being forced on him by his gem. steven has little to no control over this form. hes not trying to live up to his mother, or wondering if he is her, like before. now, he’s losing control to whatever programming is in his gem.

but back to mr universe. in the van, greg is going on and on about how lucky steven is, and how free steven is, but how can either of them compare their lives to each other? the similarities just arent there. steven is right, greg and pink were “raised” in very similar “households”. both had their wishes and desires suppressed by controlling, abusive parents. we know pink was abused mentally, verbally and physically (being physically dragged away from the screen by yellow in jungle moon, stevonnie being grabbed and thrown into the time out cell by yellow, when she still thought steven was pink), but greg at the very least was mentally assaulted. but they diverge from here. as greg said, he thought disco was back. rose started a war. you cant compare them any further. 

but at the same time, steven was raised completely differently. he was raised in a home with love and freedom, but he was also not given the opportunity to be a normal kid. theres a difference being forcing your kid to do something and not giving them the chance to try something. steven was never given the option to go to school (well in the comics he was but i guess thats not canon now since it seems like steven wishes he went to school?) he was never given the option to live in a house, or go to the mall with friends. the only other kids he knew were the boardwalk kids, but even then, he doesnt seem very close with them. for such an outgoing, friendly kid, steven wasnt given many opportunities to make friends. steven’s upbringing was very relaxed, yes, but it was too relaxed. he needed more structure, and more importantly, more humanity. i always thought it was weird, how little steven seems to have interacted with humans before connie, considering that his mother so desperately wanted steven to experience being human. yes the show is about gems, (and yes, i dont like most townie episodes), but steven was never shown doing a lot of “human” kid things inbetween episodes. the episode never started with him coming home from a friends house, he hardly ever spent time with friends other than connie in little scenes. like he was never called for a mission while playing cards with peedee, or coming home after an after school activity. any scenes like that were either just steven by himself, or with greg, and occasionally connie. but connie is a new addition to his life. how many years has he been doing fun stuff with only his dad for company, or by himself? yknow, “non traditional” childhoods and living situations are becoming more and more common in media, rather than the “two parents in a suburb house” thing, but steven’s life is beyond any unusual childhood any other kid would have. i mean he’s never even been to the doctor! which is probably for several reasons, like the fact that he apparently doesnt have a ssn, he can heal himself, has a damn gemstone in his stomach, and is half alien. but still, thats not something he has in common with other kids. no matter how much love and freedom he was given, steven was raised as an outcast.

i agree with the notion that both greg and steven were both right and wrong in mr universe. i guess they both have that in common with rose lol 

greg should have read the room better, realized that his pep talk wasnt the support and apology steven needed to hear. but steven shouldnt have acted out in the way he did. i get that’s the “theme” of steven’s spiral, maybe for the younger audience to better understand how steven is acting? but crashing his dad’s van that gregs been living in for like 20 years? fucking SHATTERING jasper? that’s going way too far to prove a point. it would have been better to maybe mirror story for steven, where marty and greg are arguing, marty is watching the road and they narrowly avoid hitting a car. but crashing the car could have been pretty serious, especially for greg. now jasper, that episode shouldnt have been approved. steven should not have shattered jasper. he fucking killed her. rose/pink didnt even shatter anyone. and if it wasnt for steven getting another superpower out of nowhere, jasper would have stayed that way. he should have just cracked her gem, poofing her in the process. the rest of the episode wouldve played out exactly the same.

anyways ive been writing this for like 2 hours but i feel better letting it all out. if you enjoy future keep enjoying it! it’s definitely more like a B+ compared to season 3-5′s general C-/D+. but please take into consideration future has some themes that people personally relate to, like mental health, and that you shouldnt shit on someone elses opinions that are based on their own personal experiences. especially if you dont have mental health issues, dont keep pushing your opinion and telling people that personally relate to future’s themes that they’re wrong? thats fucked up man

(i dont have any big changes in mind for opals gym it was pretty perfect, if it was Real Life bede would not be in the running cause id smash that whole thing up, opal would NOT be able to resist my level of pink, if anything its  just a little plot changes, stuff i was already uuugh about)

(long before her mom retired, opal was a Scientist, but before that she had tried to break into acting ; despite at the time being just a young teenager she was turned away from auditions and even guilds for looking too old, defeated she gave into her mother's pressure and attended a college, she ended up being at the forefront of the verging bio-technology field)

(she took over the gym when her mother retired as per tradition but didnt really put much interest in it beyond the barest minimum, between the gym and her work she didnt have much room for a social life, and not to use the word interest again, but she wasnt particularly interested in settling down with a family, she had one of Those moms who are like oooh i had to give up a careeer to haaave you, despite like, having a whole entire gym, after some horrible science gone wrong tho opal was happy to retire from all that nasty business,she taught for a while and for a short time bellonlea was a bustling college town)

( i think ill have the gym challenge be in parts like a sit down before hand before the practical, i had gotten really excited about the build up thinking we were going to see a gameified bubble test ffggfd,,,,wow,,,anyway, if you get one wrong youll get shocked! one of your pkmn have a 50/50 chance of getting paralyzed, you can cheat with your rotom phone? if it was a game and not a comic there’d be a mechanic for that, if you get caught you get kicked out but opal will let you try again, cause cheating is pink but its not pink that you got caught but it IS pink that youd come back like nothing happened, like, super pink)

(once youre done with that, its gym battle time! the astroturf is like grandma carpetting but like, extra plush, theres glowing mushrooms and moss and a Strange Fragrance in the air, this is a kind of fairy terrain!)

(this is one of my fave pkmn and i think its silly that its not fairy fighting! i could just chance it in the emulator, live my dreams,,)

(all fairy types have a less likely chance of taking status effects and have a chance of recovering from them without the aid of an item, or waiting multiple turns, all pkmn sp attk or sp def might be raised or lowered at random, theres a chance non-fairy type pkmn might not want to battle at all similar to the effects attract has so youll miss a turn (certain abilities make a pkmn immune to this probs stuff like pkmn with intimidate, pressure, ect) 

(ability: normalize, moves: sleep talk, copycat, assist, foresight)

(the fragrant air has a 30% chance of putting non-fairy type pkmn to sleep, for normal and dragon pkmn its a 50% chance! its like at the start of your turn thing, poison type attacks can do less damage, but enough poison can turn the air noxious! like in any battles, and that deals poison damage, ill figure all the air stuff out later, i think adding another way the field can be effected would be fun :> )

(using her considerable resources, she launched a luxury fashion and beauty brand using her past research to develop make ups, lotions, textiles and the like, so when she finally fully retired from academia she had a Nice nest egg to sit on while putting her focus fully on her gym)

1. Who is your favourite character in 2? Well that one is easy as hell. Lucas Lallemant, without the shadow of a doubt. I just adore that boy... I really do believe that he’s the most developed character of the whole skam universe. Also, i relate to him so so much, being parisian and 17 and queer and just, globally similar. And that Acting (TM) sure helps (will i ever be over axel’s acting? I dont think so)... I am gonna stop before i write essays (you all think this is a joke but i actually write random stuff about Lucas when i get bored in class, thats how bad it is). I just really love this boy folks...

2. Who is your least favourite character in 1? Well that’s an easy one too. Vernon Schillinger, because he is a neonazi, which is enough. And he is just plain BAD (rapist, murderer, coward, blackmailer... you name it)... And it’s not even a love hate situation, i despise the guy so  much, he makes me wanna crawl off my skin whenever he is on screen. Also i think he’s quite one dimensional which is very weird for that show but yeah. He is The Bad Guy.

3. What is your favourite episode of 4? Well that’s a harder one lmao, because you know, the show has been going on since 1963, which means i have many many favourites... Imma go only with reboot, cause thats the one i know better and i have to say it’s the one i enjoy the most. I think my all time fave is the two parts one, The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances, because those are just so perfect in every aspect imo. But i also love love love the library arc from season 4 (i think lmao) because KUDOS FOR MAKING US INSENSITIVE ABOUT A CHARACTER’S DEATH ONLY FOT IT TO KILL US LATER (and overall the episodes are so so good). Also, because i’m a hoe for big dramatic moments, the episodes with the Master (end of s3 and end of s4 mainly, i dont really like Missy) and the two parts The Stolen Earth/Journey’s end (i remember being so hyped by all of them squading up). Also, it’s not an episode but it deserves its place there: the entire season 6. Because Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Alex Kingston and Arthur Darvill are just so good. I didnt really enjoy seasons 8 to 10 (even tho i adore Peter Capaldi), but season 7 also has some that i loved (Angels in Manhattan and The Name of the Doctor killed me). And the 50th anniversary. I MEAN THIS IS COMPLICATE I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH IT HAS SO MANY GOOD EPISODES (and it’s the first show i got obsessed with so theres that)

4. What is your favourite season of 5? I think i’ll go with season 2 (?), because i love the og squad and they were all in it in s2, and i think the arcs were done really well (and the last episode, haha, me dead)... S3 and 4 i enjoyed less cause i think the teams didn’t really work without Tosh, Owen and Ianto... I couldn’t really find that magic again (and yes i’m still bitter). 

5. Who is your favourite couple in 3? It’s hard to find ALIVE people to form couples with lmao so i’ll go with one that is in kinda stand-by... it’s complicate...  Rick and Michonne cause i loved how they were best friends first and how their whole story was built... It made a lot of sense to me. Also i love the show less nowadays but i think those are still strong characters (minus Rick now lol)

6. Who is your favourite couple in 2? I had to snort. I know, it’s going to surprise you all, but it’s Manon and Charles OF COURSE. Kidding (pls. break. them. up). It’s Eliott and Lucas (how many of you all are surprised) because. Do i need to explain. Just. Everything. I can’t even put it into words. they’re just a perfect match and so in tune and so in love and i should stop now but i won’t so i’m sorry. I love how they complete each other and understand each other, and i loved how Lucas made Eliott’s dream real (polaris), and i love how they arent perfect yet they learn with each other and they make each other better . I love how cute they look and how in love and how raw. I love the way Lucas’ voice softens when he talks to eliott, and the way eliott’s eyes are so full of wonder. Also the way they fight sometimes but always come back to each other and love stronger. And their ship names literally means “chosen one”, how could I not ship? LISTEN THEY JUST FIT OKAY AND I WONT TAKE ANY CRITICISM

7. What is your favourite episode of 1? oh god i don’t remember them all at all lmao but imma try to come up with one (not 22838 like i normally do). So i’d say 4x11 (revenge is sweet)?? but honestly the show is so continuous that its hard to choose one ep... id say s4 is my favourite hands down though

8. What is your favourite episode of 5? YES THAT I CAN!! it’s from season 1, even though i love s2 better overall, Countrycide. I loved everything about that ep, and it still sends shivers down my spine when i think about it. I particularly enjoyed how it depicted the team’s relationships and how it showed that monsters can be amongst mankind (which, we been knew, but still. it was very well done for a show that fights aliens to fight humans)

9. What is your favourite season of 2? Another easy one! Season 3, as my entire blog can attest. It’s just. A masterpiece. That’s it that’s the post.

10. How long have you watched 1? I bingewatched it in like two months (cause i had to take breaks because school) in 2016. It’s a show that ended around 2000 so it’s not like i HAD to wait, and the episodes aren’t really stand alone so i had to watch them in a row.

11. How did you become interested in 3? I started watching with my dad because he is a cinephile that shows me loads of movies and tv series, then showed it to my mom. And now my dad stopped watching so i watch it with my mom exclusively even though i dont enjoy as much as i used to (still love it though). 

12. Who is your favourite actor in 4? Matt Smith (even though i adored Eccleston, and couldn’t appreciate Tennant’s AMAZINGNESS cause i was too sad to see 9 go aoimjdk). But Matt Smith is the funniest, most Doctor-ish one imo.

13. Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5? This is gonna sound like a betrayal to shows i’ve watched for so many years but Skam France, hands down. (i’m obsessed okay)

14. Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3? 3 because it has more eps and i’m caught up with both, so logically its 3.

15. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be? Umh i think i’m kinda similar to Clara in some ways (?). Maybe. Like in the way we’re both hopeless romantic in search of an adventurous life. Plus, she is a lgbt+ icon and you can’t convince me otherwise so there’s that. i mean i think i globally identify with companions cause i wanna be them so bad lmao (imagine how cool it would be for my nerdy self ugh). But i look like a Sontaran so. Mayhaps i’d be one of those instead

16. Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? umh that’d be funny as hell. The Doctor just jumping in a zombie apocalypse. Though i think they’d find a way to stop the apocalypse, so the second show would be annihilated by the first one. Mmh. Interesting still, up for it (i’m up for anything tbh)

17. Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple? That’s the hardest one i had to answer GOD. I’d go with the crack ship, Ryan O’Reilly and Miguel Alvarez, tho they would both kill me and then burn my body if they ever saw this

18. Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5? Weeeelll i think The Walking Dead used to have an amazing storyline (the Governor’s arc was spectacular), but now i’d go with Torchwood cause sometimes (a lot of times), shows that don’t try to make it last for ages tie everything better. And Torchwood did tie things well enough imo (even tho i’m forever sad and bitter)

19. Which has the better theme music, 2 or 4? I don’ think Skam France has a theme music?? more like soundtracks (amazing ones)??? But i mean even if it did Doctor Who would still win cause the themes are fantastic (yes i went there)

Introducing me(us???)?

Ok no that's a terrible freaking title. We are not the jonas brothers.

Who's we? Haha honestly I'm not even sure anymore. This is a hard one to write because I literally don"t tell anyone about my "inner world" which is why I'm keeping my blog anonymous for now .

I guess I'm just a wierd human with a messed up brain that has no reason to be messed up. I'm in the process of figuring it all out .

Long story short "we" is me and my ... I'm not sure what to call them I used to think they were just imaginary freinds , but they have become something so much more real.

I remember being 5 years old and having imaginary freinds like any other child. I cant remember much but I'm pretty sure my home life was perfect. I have an amazing mum and dad and even had two grandparents at the time. I remember happiness and my cat who really wasnt a fan of me , but I adored her regardless , even if she did end up scratching the living hell out of me on many occasions. My main issue at the time was serious separation anxiety, I couldn't handle being away from my parents , it got better towards the end of the school year I think after a lot of spending most of the year screaming until my dad would pick me up. I found it hard making freinds as I was somewhat anti social and liked playing on my own often, but I found a freind in the end. I think we got on so well cause she was different too. Turned out she had Autism, something that I'll probably talk about a lot here. Anyway as I said back then was when I first remember having imaginary freinds , and constantly daydreaming . I used to watch my dad play video games a lot so a lot of my daydreams would be based off the video games . At the time It was perfectly fine. I was just a strange kid who had an over active imagination, zoned out a lot in school , and often enjoyed my own company, but couldn't understand why my peers didnt like the antisocial wierd kid. I remember getting teased as I have a harmless autoimmune skin condition that I developed aged 3 and I felt alienated for it . The serious bullying didnt start until later in primary school though .(I think age 11 or thereabouts, was when shit really hit the fan) Anyway the imaginary freinds were originally just that . Unfortunately things changed when my one freind from school left and moved across the country. I had no freinds so that's where I began to use my imaginary freinds to replace real people. By the time I was 13 I'd almost completely isolated myself , I didnt know how to interact with real people.

I eventually thought I'd got it all under control . I found a group of people that were all a bit wierd. Originally it was cool and I fit in okay.

When I went to sixth form college, stuff started to get weirder though. I'd been struggling throughout secondary school I'd spent a lot of time kind of going back into my alternate reality . Even at freinds parties I used to pretend that I was a different person in my alternate reality doing something with my inner world family. I mentioned it once or twice to someone at CAHMS (The british child mental health services) that I was seeing as I'd struggled a lot with anxiety and self harm , but I never wanted to be fully honest about it . I was embarrassed.

Aged 12 I remember "pretending" to be a character called Casey. At the time I was spending a lot of time pretending I was Kasey and I was making a talk show with my other imaginary freinds . Eventually another character called Paulie took Casey's place .

Paulie's whole existence is kinda embarrassing. They're a typical queer cringe OC That you know a 14 year old neurodivergent weirdo would make up. I kind of originally used them as a way to explore my special interests. And to understand things about the world . In many ways Paulie was kind of a reflection of myself and you know everything was fine . Paulie is a 5ft7 young non binary person . Born male but definitely presents more feminine. Some of the other details about them came from me incorporating things I'd learned from various medical documentaries and things I'd researched on the internet. (One of my special interests always was science , particularly biology, when I was young I wanted to be either a doctor or a vet or something like that. I dont know why I find it so fascinating. It's kind of my party trick - boring people with the details of a random medical condition that they absolutely did not ask for.) I'll go into full details at some point . I find it kind of embarrassing to talk about it all.

Anyway It used to be great we used to pretend to do makeup on our youtube channel that of course did not exist .(the deeper I get into this the more I want to delete my life) it became to the point where I was doing daily "vlogs" in the inner world as Paul , again just something I day dreamed about. It was getting beyond the limits of normal daydreaming.

At some point I came across a video about "Maladaptive daydreaming " for once in my life I didnt feel quite so alone. I couldn't believe that I wasnt the only one who did this! Ever since then I've toyed with the idea of opening up about it , maybe through some sort of blog or youtube video etc. However, I wasn't ready until now. I'm still not ready to be completely open with my freinds and family (the one person who even knows 1/3 of this stuff is my mum) which is why I'll remain anonymous for now .

In the last 2 years things have gotten increasingly more strange and confusing. When I was in sixth form college (british equivalent of high school) Paulie started to be kind of phased out of my daydreams. Then Eric showed up.

Again , it was just daydreaming that had gone a bit too far at this point, however I soon realised that my personality appeared to have changed to become much more like Eric. I stopped wearing makeup so often. I began to feel dysphoric about my body , I began to wish I was Eric.

From then it's just been confusing. It's never just been Paul , Casey or Eric . At first i thought I'd just made an imaginary family. I've been saying that I have literally no idea why because my family are great. But I wonder if it was because I lost my nan and then metaphorically lost my dad.

My dads not dead , hes alive (just about I mean he smokes like a chimney so it's probably only a matter of time) Our relationship is so wierd. I try to be grateful for him purely because hes not a completely bad person. He gave me a great childhood and has never laid a finger on me. But when I was about 13 , I lost him. He became self absorbed in his own past.

Around about that time one of my dads ex freinds died. Since then dads been remembering things from his past and is convinced that this ex freind emotionally abused him and traumatised him for life.

Hes told me the stories so many times because hes so caught up in it that I should probably remember more of what he told me but honestly I think after the third time I just gave up with talking to him. Dad never cares about what you're talking about . He only cares about himself.

I'll spare you the details for now. Maybe I'll make a post about it. I suppose that's his shit not mine though . I dont deny that his ex freind wasnt exactly nice to him and cheated him out of a relationship. But I just feel like he should maybe you know go to therapy rather than sitting at home , freeloading from my mum , mumbling to himself all day about things that happened in the past.

Its very selfish of me because I know even though dads not exactly had the worst life, and he is a little bit of a narcissist who thinks that hes had the worst life possible , I know hes hurting. But I used to have a dad , now hes just not there. We used to do stuff , and I used to adore him, However hes just not my dad anymore. Theres glimmers of him there . But hes so entangled with the past , (and also a bit delusional) that I cant have a normal father daughter relationship with him anymore.

I guess maybe the combo of that , the strain its put on my parents marriage (they're still together but they argue more now) and the fact that I'm a sensitive little snowflake who really cant deal with anything unpleasant, is the reason I created my imaginary family. I don't know if I want to put it down to that though. I feel like that makes me sound like my dad , blaming my problems on what feels like insignificant past events.

Anyway. I kind of hate the fact that I have another family on the inner world. Because even though my dads a bit of an asshat , hes my dad and as a multitude of people have told me " at least you have a dad , at least your parents are still together" and I adore my mum. Like shes as close to a perfect mum as you get in this world. Of course she has off days and it's not always sunshine and rainbows , but shes amazing. She loves me , she supports me through everything and she does so much for me. No matter how many times I screw up she just sighs and helps me move on. Mind you. I havent got anyone quite like her in the inner world.

Since I've been more honest with myself (and the boys) about the fact that I am in fact daydreaming and its not real , the boys have begun to accept my mum as their own almost. Obviously they have real mums, but I know they love her to pieces.

Anyway, so this big imaginary family. Has become more than that. A lot of the dudes are still just imaginary freinds but with a few of the boys , whom I've introduced you to two out of the three, have become scarily real. Eric is the main one. The last couple of years it's progressed to the point where sometimes , I'm not sure if I am me or if I am Eric , or if Eric is me. Sometimes I feel like I'm thinking in his voice. Sometimes I look in the mirror and see him. And sometimes he looks in the mirror and sees me. I think as Paul was so feminine. It didn't show so much. We could just pretend we were me on the outside. But when Eric is in my headspace, I hate my feminine body, I've bought a binder and my wardrobe is becoming less feminine. Because I just dont feel like the same person. I'm honestly so confused I really dont know what is going on or why it's happening.

In some ways the inner world is still just me navigating the world and my way of making sense of things. But it's also kind of like , parts of my personality, as little people that live in my brain , but not quite , I cannot begin to explain it .

And then of course, just when I'm trying to figure out the Eric saga and who the hell I even am anymore, Vlad pops up.

I'll always have a soft spot for Vlad. Hes Paul's older brother and has been in the inner world for quite some time , but has been more I suppose, in my headspace as I call it in the last six months or so. Hes the only one that I've managed to do a successful drawing of thus far although I'll try and do some of the other dudes at some point. Only issue is Vlad would much rather we doodle bugs than the other boys. Vlad has been my way of exploring the whole prospect of having Autism , I'm not diagnosed yet as the waiting lists are frankly ridiculous (yay for the tories?) but I've based vlads character around the traits that I have, and he helps me not be so ashamed of being neurodivergent. He also kind of helps me deal with my Emetophobia (the fear of vomiting) and my issues I have around food - which I honestly thought weren't that bad until I got told that the issues I've been having with my stomach and swallowing for the last year , are completely down to my anxiety. And it was at that point that I realised I may have been a teensy bit more traumatised by my phobia of vomiting than I originally believed. In fact vlads backstory is based off of my whole fear of being sick and what started it off (that time the norovirus kicked my ass, big time) .

Uhh so theres a bit about us . I'm not ready to fully open up yet . I want to eventually tell you more about the inner world but baby steps hey. I plan on trying to post more but , I'm useless so I wouldn't count on it.

Another random ooc post but..  What about a Marvel au where like all the ages are reversed. Bare with me with this.  So where we’re at now in the MCU is post endgame so if somehow you’re reading this like.. ages from now.. shush.  I’ve thought about this for like a minute since typing ‘shush’ and this is gonna get more crazy than i originally thought so putting this under a read more because.. like.. probably gets long. 

So at first I was gonna say Peter Parker is the oldest Avenger and he takes a young boy under his wing named Tony Stark but i think i can go even crazier than that. 

I think to make it coherent you have to kind of change some stuff and separate characters into groups. 

So I’ll start with Spider-Man... except I was thinking if we age swap it all.. then maybe it’s not Spider-Man.. Maybe it’s Uncle Peter.  Maybe it’s the story of a young girl called May who gets bitten by a radioactive spider and becomes Spider-Woman and gets her Aunt MJ killed. 

Then I got to thinking Peter doesn’t exactly have a brother or sister or anything and neither does MJ.. so what if May is actually the daughter of Miles Morales who’s died .. I feel like theres an entire rabbit hole i could fall down with this idea tbh and I’m only on Spider-Man here... this isn’t even going into how Tony Stark would be the father of Howard Stark and how that probably doesn’t change that much tbh.. except Jarvis the AI comes before the butler? somehow? and that means the Vision came first? what? 

So.. gonna take a step back here and try and write out the simpler one as a random idea... gonna start with Peter again because he’s the youngest so he’d be the oldest I guess.. There’s many ways i could do this.. could be Peter has the same origin story and just grows older and stuff but what if we go backwards through the MCU starting with endgame and introduce characters in movies they’re not in... like..  So going back through the MCU the first solo movie is Spider-Man.. and the first movie.. chronologically is Captain America. So..  So we start with a Nazi stealing the tesseract. Peter Parker wants to sign up to fight Nazi’s. He’s too small and puny. Signs up. Scientist experimenting with spiders get him bit. Boom Spider-Man is born. It’s revealed that the nazi from before went under similar experiment but it wasn’t with spiders and The Vulture was born. Yes he’s a scary birdman hybrid i guess in this version. Blah blah blah. Ned falls off the train, Agent Mary Jane is upset as Peter Parker has to crash the plane into the sea and he gets frozen in ice. 

From there we pick up with Black Panther. (now things get weird) The story of Wakanda holding off the Skrull for ages. T’Chaka and his brother fight them and stuff and he finds out he’s had his memories altered by his brother and promises to help the Skrulls find a home and heads back to Wakanda to help them and change the Wakandan ways. This is really hard to do with just like.. the movie knowledge off the top of my head. 

Next up we got Doctor Strange. Stephen Strange is a surgeon who gets kidnapped, in the cave is also another prisoner who goes by the ancient one and secretly she teaches Stephen magic which he uses to escape. Returning home stuff happens and Kaecilius who i guess is a co-worker of Stephens? Look it’s not perfect.. but he steals.. Doctor Stranges books and learns some spells himself and they fight. Kaecilius dies. Doctor Strange comes out and is like “I am Doctor Strange.”  and everyones like “We know.” and it’s weird and awks. 

Then we got Doctor Strange 2. Where I guess.. Doctor Strange decides to host a magic expo to introduce magic to the world as just a thing people know about now?  Mordo sees it on the tv from.. Russia.. and is pissed and goes and attacks get locked up but Dormamu is like “Yo man if you kill him i can get out of hell or whatever so.. pls?” and gets him out of prison and makes him more powerful and then they fight with the help of Wong (Warmachine basically) they win. 

Just gonna end this here.. Might write this entire weird ass timeline up at some point... maybe.. but it’s getting late now.

Concept: Everybody has superpowers.

Everybody is born with super powers. However, those powers need to be awakened from within them. This can happen in many different ways, a few examples might be like... They were awakened at birth. Suffered a traumatic event. Get kissed for the first time. Slapped across the back of the head. Turn 10 years old. Eat a really damn good sandwich. But never having your abilities awakened is common enough that people dont typically get upset living their life without super powers. The method of awakening usually has no influence on what the power actually is.

Whenever someone is ‘awakened’  they are encouraged to register their abilities at one of the various clinics/facilities built to teach or in some cases contain as to not harm themselves or others. And depending on the power, they are required to register their abilities or face detainment.

Powers are varied drastically, but typically fit into 3 different archetypes:

Morphs - These are your shapeshifters. Your stretchy boys. Your chameleon girls. Werewolves, Hulks, Armorskins, and Goo People. Their powers change them into another form, be it of themselves or a monstrosity. This can either be an instantaneous and permanent change, a change the user can make at will, or a change that happens under certain conditions. Examples: Mr. Fantastic (hell the entire Fantastic Four,) The Hulk, Mystique, Shazam.

Boosts - Like super speed? How about incredible strength? Sharper awareness? Does mind reading do anything for you? Boost powers lie in sharpened attributes and bolstered mentalities. They can be your kinetics, your strongmen, able to lift anything with their arms or their mind. They can dodge any blow be it because of their super fast reflexes, or their ability to detect another person’s intentions. Even if they get hit it might not be a problem because of their enhanced tolerance to pain or their ability to regenerate damage. Examples: Professor Xavier, Spider-man, Wolverine, The Flash, Superman.

Casters - Also referred to as ‘Elementals’ because their powers often pertain to control of elements. These people have to power to control energies and manipulate matter. They can summon  lightning from the skies or surround themselves in a frightening aura. Creating fire from thin air? No problem if you’re not in an airplay. Creating a sparkling array of colors to adorn a party? Childs play. Literally. Making it rain on some random dope’s head at the park, just him? Just that one asshole? Fuck him. Make it rain on his bald ass he just littered, you saw it. We all did. Examples: Ice Man, Doctor Strange, also Superman kind of?, Pyro, Gambit... like most X-Men really.

While there are a few cases of truly off the wall powers (like one guy is just always aware of a hammer being in the same room as him, and theres a woman in Mississippi who one day just knew of the name of any dog she will ever meet in her life,) they are few and far between, and typically benign.
