really wish interviewers would stop asking actors how they feel about the opinions and headcannons of certain corners of internet fandom......

#there are 1000 opinions about any 1 character at any goven time within every fandom #they shouldn't have to stay on top of all of them and try to navigate that mess #i really hate that the lines between fandom and the actors who portray characters has blurred so much #idk the whole thing just is weird to me.... shipping and fandom and fic are by fans FOR fans #the second you start asking ppl outside fandom their opinion it's going to piss off ppl in fandom cause there's also a large chunk of ppl #who can't at the end of the day go 'oh well to each their own it is a tv show afterall' #i mean ppl within the same fandoms fight and disagree and shit you think it's fair to ask actors to jump in? like #just let shipping and fic and fandom do it's own thing idk #this all just leads to the super un-chill sides of fandom who also usually happen to be the loudest to harassing ppl on social media #and it makes 'fandom' as a whole look like a bunch of unreasonable crazy assholes #i don't think fans should do it either though like i certainly would never send an actor my fic or ask them their opinion on a ship like... #they have their own headcannons about the characters they portray and at the end of the day it's also just a job for them... #ok whew rant over
