I met John on my flight to the @cgiuniversity Conference at @vanderbiltu yesterday. John was on his way to see his daughter and to donate his time to an event hosted by OneGenAway, which seeks to eliminate food insecurity by distributing rescued foods from local grocery stores, restaurants, caterers, and farms. His humble, generous, and kind spirit is truly inspiring. I am grateful to have met this changemaker. @traderjoes is lucky to have such a team member, dedicated to the sustenance of all people. . . . #UnboundedLaw #Law #Justice #LightWithoutFlame #CGIU #CGIU2023 #OneGenAway #Nashville #NashvilleTennessee #Tennessee #Changemaker #TraderJoes #Kindness #PeacePins #TheGood (at Nashville, Tennessee) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpVjisypJQc/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Atomic Heart: A Promising Game Hindered by Bloat and Frustration
Tumblr media
Atomic Heart Review Atomic Heart is a game with a promising story and unique setting, but it ultimately falls short due to excessive bloat. While the game features interesting design elements and a strong player character, it stretches out its best and worst parts until nothing good remains. The game's story follows Major Sergei Nechaev, also known as P-3, a special assignments officer assigned to assist USSR hero Dmitry Sechenov with the launch of Kollective 2.0. P-3 wears an AI-controlled glove named Charles that unlocks special abilities and gives him someone to talk to throughout the game. However, the story is muddled by confusing dialogue and constantly shifting allegiances, leaving players feeling unsure about what to believe. Atomic Heart's gameplay features survival and stealth elements, an open world sandbox, and a wide variety of weapons and combat abilities. However, the game's attempts to do too much lead to an equal amount of filler. Activities like finding new weapon blueprints and training grounds are infrequent and quickly become uninteresting. The combat, while featuring a variety of guns, abilities, and enemies, lacks impact and feels repetitive. Boss encounters all use the same abilities and reward the same style of combat, making them feel like carbon copies of each other. Despite its shortcomings, Atomic Heart has some solid bones and unique design elements that make it worth playing. However, the excessive bloat and repetitive gameplay can make it frustrating to play for extended periods. Ultimately, Atomic Heart is a game that tries to do too much and suffers for it. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
Tumblr media
- The Bad. - The Good. - The Ugly - What I am Learning - How I am Growing - Conclusion,
The Bad.
Today has been one of those days that just seems to keep getting worse. It started off with a missed phone call from my lawyer about my SSI, which had me feeling down right from the start. I was really looking forward to getting some good news, but now I have to wait to hear back and find out what was so important. The bad.
The Good.
I did have a therapy session today, which went alright, but it's still tough to talk about everything that's been going on. My therapist is great and always makes me feel better, but some days are just harder than others. The good. My boyfriend has been working on some projects all day, which has been great to see, but it's also a reminder that I haven't been able to do much lately. I've been trying to figure out how to use this Oracle Virtual Machine, but I just can't seem to get the hang of it.
The Ugly
To top it off, I'm starving and there's nothing good to eat. I feel like I've tried everything, but nothing seems to satisfy my cravings. I just want to take a nap and start over tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. I just feel like I keep struggling to miss opportunities if that makes any sense. I have so many things going on at once at all times and I don't know which direction to go with. Not to mention the fact that I am actively self teaching myself how to do all this new computer tech. I am trying to figure out how to setup a new wordpress site through oracle so that I can have the domain that I want and not have to pay for the service. Which would be AMAAAZING! Because who wants to have to pay for things when you can get them for free? Am I right?
What I am Learning
Its just really hard. It is one of the most challenging things that I have put on my plate in a really long time. Not to mention the fact that I am not that tech savvy to begin with. HA HA. But I will preserver in the end! I don't know what sparked the initiative to want to do this inside of me was but whatever it is I kind of like it.
How I am Growing
I was talking to my therapist today about how I've never really been one to take initiative in my life. I've always just went with the flow and let other people be the conductors in my life. However, more and more recently that's been changing. I have been more willing to take the first step and push myself to do and try things I never would have before. Its a really exhilarating feeling. I can feel and see myself becoming a new woman that I love and appreciate and respect. I am no longer shying away from things that make me feel insecure or obsolete. I am taking challenges head on. Not only am I facing these challenges but most of the I conquer as well. This is not to say I don't get frustrated or stuck sometimes because believe me, I do. But I am learning how to take breaks and do things in increments instead of trying to rush and get everything done all in one sitting. I really think that I have my boyfriend and starting this new company to thank for my new found talents. I would have never been this patient with myself if life never put certain obstacles in my way forcing me to slow down and embrace things step by step. I literally have no choice but to do so in some circumstances and now I try to apply it with everything I do. Stop being so impulsive and think.
Conclusion,
Think before I react. Think before I respond. Think before I do. Think before I think. ha ha. - The Bad. - The Good. - The Ugly - What I am Learning - How I am Growing - Conclusion, Read the full article

when will you be continuing your fic?
That's a good question, currently I'm having quite the writer's block on it, I am 50% done with chapter 4 but I just don't have the motivation to continue.
In fact I've been working on a separate fic and even that has gotten lost into w.i.p. hell...

@thegood-fiight asked:  Something happened. It was a perfect understatement but something happened. She was falling and then she hit pavement, the wind being knocked out of her and making her gasp and cough. Yeah, that fall could’ve killed her. Moving to sit up, she’s shouted at by some rather heavily armored men to ‘don’t move’ before a cloaked figure parted the crowd towards her. Everything felt off, and taking a look around, this. This was not the capital wasteland.
Meme Random Asks /// Always Accepting
Stephen would have called it a run-of-the-mill fight, if there were any such thing as a master of the mystic arts. He dealt with abnormal for a living, and as such, he had come to expect when things didn’t go exactly as planned. One could never really be too careful when it came to spellwork, especially in the midst of battle, but Strange liked to think himself a practiced sorcerer, having taken to magic as he had taken to surgery. He didn’t often make mistakes, and the being the had chosen to invade their dimension didn’t pose much of a threat. Though nothing could be considered normal about Stephen’s new job, in theory, nothing should have gone wrong.
It was the tail end of the altercation that things shifted. A banishment spell that Stephen had cast on the hostile creature must have reacted poorly to the magic it had decided to hurl at him. A bright flash of light, a rift ripped open in the air to a grey, barren world, and then another blinding flash before everything settled again. The creature had disappeared, much to Stephen’s delight, but there was definitely another problem that was becoming more readily apparent.
A woman. Fairly young, and entirely out of place, thrown from the rift into the center of the street.
The S.H.I.E.L.D agents that had been sent as a response to the extradimensional interloper were quick to descend on the defenseless stranger, definitely out of sorts from whatever magic had brought her to them. She had looked around with wide, confused eyes before Stephen had pushed his way through the circle of armed men and women to approach her.
Stephen was quick to crouch in front of her, closer to eye level where she sat on the ground. His gaze reflected his own confusion and worry. “Are you alright?” was the first question out of his mouth, his more immediate concern.

This was revenge. The slaver had told him so. Revenge for five of his men, for freeing the few slaves in the small camp. Standing Bear had caused him an embarrassment. The man was a White Leg. He had been a part of the war party that had murdered Standing Bear’s tribe. This was more than revenge.
He and his men had left Standing Bear out in the middle of the Mojave, far from any settlements and free from NCR lines. He was probably closer to Legion territory than anywhere else. And they had simply left him. Well, they’d beaten him bloody first, then stripped him of his shirt and his belongings, tied him to the ground crucifixion style. But it was what they used that would be most painful, if the wildlife didn’t get to him first. Wet leather straps were used to tie his arms to either side of him, just an inch or so over his head, his feet bound together and straight down. When the leather dried it would pull and slowly suffocate him if the heat didn’t kill him first. Or rad-scorpions. Or geckos. Or the Legion. Or Raiders. The White Leg didn’t care. And he and his men were long gone, leaving Standing Bear to bleed and bake alone.
@thegood-fiight
Amanda didnt have alot of finesse that the mojave tended to need. Alot of the things she didnt think about in the capitol wastes was things she had to worry about. She could go afew moments without being inundated with rabid creatures. but the mojave? not so much.
Thankfully the might was merciful. She was thinking about how peaceful it was before nearly tripping on a body. Stepping back, it took a beat for her to recognize exactly what was going on. Letting out a small ‘oh shit’ she moved to cut off the ties.
“Holy shit, who did this to you? how long have you been out here?” She tended to dote. “Do you need a stimpak? that was a stupid question, of course you do…”
Tumblr media
He was delirious. He had to be. Bear had all but accepted his awful fate after hours of being in the sun, his mouth dry, lips cracking. He could smell his own sweat, his own blood, his own skin burning in the sun. And there was this woman, a girl? A voice speaking to him...
“Water,” He managed to get out... and realized his arms weren’t straining anymore. But he couldn’t move them. He could barely feel them. He tried pulling them to his side, but they barely moved an inch. He wasn’t going to answer anything else until she gave him that promised stim pak. He couldn’t think straight. He couldn’t even moved his limbs at the moment, let alone sit up and have a conversation.

“I swear I went to trade school.” Amanda chuckles nervously. “I am a mechanic just like everyone else in the shop”
@thegood-fiight
Bucky had caught the tail end of a rude customer demanding a different mechanic. He'd have told her to take Amanda or get out--she was just as qualified as anyone else here--but it wasn't his shop. He could have afforded to buy his own with all the military backpay that followed his pardon (and the money he'd drained from old Hydra accounts), but he'd decided he didn't want the hassle of running his own place. He'd always loved working on cars, and it was just something to keep him busy while he wasn't on a mission.
He tipped his head toward the break room, indicating she should join him there, and pulled a couple cans of soda from the mini fridge, pushing one across the table to her. "Don't let people like that get to you. If you didn't belong here, you wouldn't have gotten the job. She was just mad about the price." He leaned against the counter and popped the tab on the second can. It wasn't uncommon for people to tantrum about the prices. Fixing cars was expensive. He'd observed that Amanda got more shit for it than he did though. Most people didn't want to argue with his resting murder face.
