gold: what political topic gets you worked up/angry?

Honestly I try to avoid political topics altogether, but issues regarding a certain government in my city makes me feel a lot of things (his name is Basuki Tjahaya Purnama if you want to search about him). I really feel he’s treated unfairly by people and doesn’t deserve all this shit thrown at him… I really do think he should be the governor of Jakarta and not the current one instead too.

pearl: what are some words you like in a language that is not your own?

I like a lot of Japanese words, but one that really stuck on me is ‘mendokusai’ (めんどうくさい)  to the point where I also use it sometimes if I talk to my friends who understand Japanese haha. The word means ‘bothersome’ or ‘bothersome to do’ or ‘annoying’. You can use it in the context of “Gdi doing this is so ‘mendokusai’ I could be doing other things” or “This teacher is so ‘mendokusai’ and gives ‘mendokusai’ assignments as well”. There’s an equivalent in my language (‘menyusahkan’, or the informal form ‘nyusahin’) but it’s just doesn’t deliver the same meaning as ‘mendokusai’

tea tree: what is something you’ve always wanted to try but have been too scared to attempt?

I want to try singing in public again one day. I do enjoy singing but screwed up once so I was really scared of doing it again and it’s been like 3 years?? So I’m always scared if I sing in public. I just upload covers (so they won’t see my face and I could do multiple takes) or sing in karaoke with my close friends. Other than that I’m just scared that I’ll make mistakes like I did and embarrass myself further haha;;

Hey! I’ve only experienced winter and spring in 4 season countries, but I’m definitely feeling the autumn vibes here from everyone o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o

big sweaters: do you prefer the cold, warmth, or a perfect in-between?

I prefer cold and/or in-between weather. Mostly it’s because I can’t work when it’s too hot, and during cold weather we could just layer our clothes or use blankets to adjust our body temperature (I mean like you can’t just strip naked outside right… but you can wear outer layers during cold weathers).

Yes, you’re right! I’m from Jakarta (the capital city) and that’s the capital city of Indonesia, which is located in Java Island. Jakarta is very packed and I think it’s also one of the most polluted city in the country (mostly because of vehicle emissions), so the most it gets during ‘winter’ is 22-23ºC I think...

There’s not even winter here, it’s monsoon so the cold weather is because it’s cloudy, and mostly just rain, storm, and... more rain. The summers are also different from European summer. Summers here is humid because we’re very close to the equator, but also scorching hot like damn the reason I’m so lazy to go outside is because I could bathe in my own sweat after I took an actual shower before going out. It could reach up to 34-35 degrees outside (the normal temperature is around 30 degrees).

Ahh I’m sorry I don’t listen to English music much ;;__;; Most of the English stuff I listen to are from the radio or the occasional Asking Alexandria (can you tell I love rock and metal music lol) and DNCE hahaha;; So I’m always happy to get song recs like the ones from your music tag!

I’d say if it’s weird for you to listen to stuff in Japanese, from the one on my list Perfect Day by Ellegarden is from a Japanese band but with full English lyrics! Their English is very good like One Ok Rock (I think they’re now quite famous overseas?) and Coldrain.

neptune: what’s an album that you can listen through entirely w/o skipping song?

For Japanese songs, it’s Funny Party in the Fog by Draw the Emotional (try listening to it as a whole because the tracks are sort of connected to each other). For non-Japanese songs, I’m kinda cheating on this hahaha;; but 35xxxv Deluxe Edition by One Ok Rock is great. I personally prefer the Japanese version (the Normal Edition) but the English version is good too.
