■ザ・ディファレント・カンパニー（The Different Company）

スブリームバルキス（Sublime Balkiss） ◆ 清潔感のある高級石鹸。ライラックなのかウォータリーなフローラルっぽさも。甘さはほぼほぼない。軽薄ではないけど重くもない。春から初秋にかけて日常使いできそうだけど、日常使いできる金額じゃない。CLEANはケミカルすぎてダメだけど、洗い立てリネン系がほしい人にいいのではないか。冬だともっとベースが重く出てよくなるかなあ。

■ゲラン（Guerlain）

イディール（Idylle） ◆ トップは華やか！ガーデニアだと思ったけど、めいんはミュゲなの？ミドル以降のほうがが優しくていいな。

■オーモンド・ジェイン（Ormonde Jayne）

トルー（Tolu） ◆ 甘味のない温かくウッディな樹脂。後半にムスクっぽさが出るのはなんだろう。完全に秋冬。

オーモンドウーマン（Ormonde Woman） ◆ トップはスパイシー。スモーキーさがあって、姉妹の一番面立ちが似てるのはオリスノワールかな。木の匂いがヘムロックだろうか。ノート見てみたらベチバーがあって、そう思うと確かにベチバーがいる。これはよい。とてもよい。

■パルファムMDCI（Parfums MDCI）

ちょうちょうさん（Cio Cio San） ◆ 甘い。けど砂糖ってより人口甘味料っぽい。ピオニーかな。ミントっぽいと思ったけど、スッとした感じはジンジャーブレッドか、レモネードか。

💭: Exploring The Different Company

I just smelled some of the fragrances from The Different Company for the first time and whilst I well aware that the brand is a culmination of several fantastic lineages and collective lifetimes of knowledge and work (the brand is brought to the world by such enigmatic perfumers like Jean Claude Ellena, Celine Ellena, Bertrand Duchaufour etc) what is so inspiring about them is how flawlessly ‘finished’ they all seem. They’re masterstrokes in their form. So well balanced, they don’t ever scream out of the nozzle but yet, they are diffusive and oh so perfectly rounded. There’s no jutting peaks of raw materials or indulgent material overdoses. Everything is just so smooth and rested... and enriched.

Of course on skin they do switch pace and tone but they do so without losing a beat of their first paper impression. They keep that profile but it’s the skin itself that adds more. More depth and a different kind of definition. Standouts are Santo Incienso Sillage Sacre: a crisp and citrusy, palo santo wood with a hint of incense. Adjatay Cuir Narcotique: an accessible leather that is excessively smoothed out with the narcotic properties of tuberose - think less rubber, more heliotropin. Tokyo Bloom: a wonderfully executed fresh and green cologne.

🟨 IL PROFUMO DI SANTA MARIA

🟡 Abbiamo chiesto a Marco Ceravolo, l'osmonauta che ha condotto il laboratorio olfattivo in Sant'Osvaldo il 10 ottobre scorso organizzato dal nostro Distretto, di ricordare la sua esperienza in Santa Maria.

DISTRETTO: Ciao Marco, un "naso" come il tuo cosa ricorda di Santa Maria?

CERAVOLO: Del fragore e del profumo silvestre delle acque del Leno ho precisa impressione. Ma ho anche letto che il vostro borgo è storicamente legato al ginepro. Quindi ne conservo un'immagine fresca, aromatica, dinamica e di carattere.

D: Immaginiamo Santa Maria come una donna contemporanea, di personalità. Quale aroma Le consiglieresti?

C: Mi piacerebbe abbinare note acquatiche a spezie orientali, che rimandano alla sensualità, passando per una nuvola di fiori narcotici, perché Santa Maria è bella, accogliente, ma nasconde anche scorci silenziosi e intimi. Le abbinerei un profumo forse poco noto, "Aurore nomade" di The Different Company, ed è un po' cosi: gioca al contrasto equilibrando due aspetti opposti dello stesso carattere, uno più solare, yang, l'altro più yin e introspettivo.

D: Un'aurora nomade come certe albe rosa che si ammirano in inverno dal ponte Forbato...

C: Sì, questo profumo è ùn piccolo capolavoro, come il vostro quartiere e la sua particolare disposizione. L'ha creato Bertrand Duchaufour, una star dell'artigianato olfattivo. Chissà cosa direbbe di Rovereto. "Aurore" è un bouquet ricco, che abbraccia anche il frangipani e l'artemisia, a raccontare degli eleganti decori rococò che ho potuto ammirare.

D: Grazie Marco per questo breve momento evocativo! Ti auguriamo di proseguire con grande soddisfazione le tue indagini olfattive.

C: Grazie a voi e alle piacevoli persone che ho conosciuto durante il nostro incontro a ottobre!

🟨 THE SCENT OF SANTA MARIA

🟡 We asked Marco Ceravolo, the osmonaut who led the olfactory workshop in Sant'Osvaldo on 10 October organised by our District, to recall his experience in Santa Maria.

DISTRICT: Hi Marco, what does a "nose" like yours remember about Santa Maria?

CERAVOLO: I have a clear impression of the roar and the sylvan scent of the waters of the Leno. But I have also read that your village is historically linked to juniper. So I have a fresh, aromatic, dynamic image of it.

Q: Let's imagine Santa Maria as a contemporary woman with personality. What aroma would you recommend?

C: I'd like to combine aquatic notes with oriental spices, reminiscent of sensuality, passing through a cloud of narcotic flowers, because Santa Maria is beautiful, welcoming, but it also hides silent and intimate views. I would match it with a perhaps little-known fragrance, "Aurore nomade" by The Different Company, which is a bit like this: it plays on contrast by balancing two opposite aspects of the same character, one more sunny, yang, the other more yin and introspective.

Q: A nomadic aurora, like those pink dawns you admire in winter from the Forbato bridge...

C: Yes, this perfume is a small masterpiece, like your neighbourhood and its particular layout. It was created by Bertrand Duchaufour, a star of olfactory craftsmanship. Who knows what he would say about Rovereto. "Aurore" is a rich bouquet, which also embraces frangipani and mugwort, telling of the elegant rococo decorations I was able to admire.

Well, Hello, friends, we are smelling amazing today ! I decided to wear une Nuit Magnifique by @thedifferentcompany , so what did you wear ? This blueberry fragrance is so fun, sweet, and floral in the opening. The fresh spicy ginger brings the playful side with some sensual white plum. The tuberose, Rose, and Jasmine is clean but have that smooth, purple satin feel. The smooth, sweet, incense, modern patchouli, and soft woody tones are nice in the dry down. The airy warm amber really brings an irresistable skin accord in the dry down, too. This lasts 6 or more hours but becomes fairly soft over time. The thing is, this becomes a sensual second skin like fragrance that really pulls charm out on a date. Роза-сюрприз. Роза-ГСМ. Кровавая, изрядно помятая роза плавающая в мазуте. Тьма, мрак, апокалипсис, война. Война из Good Omens — Но, может, войне не обязательно быть? — Конечно обязательно, иначе как мы победим? Она была прекасна, но красотой лесного пожара: восхитительное зрелище издали, и не дай Бог оказаться поблизости. И она подняла меч. И она улыбнулась узкой, как нож, улыбкой. Композицию по стилю могу сравнить с Experimentum Crucis ELDO. Оба с похожим эффектом роза-смолы-вязкость и пряность. Аромат от TDC гораздо более мрачный и не контрастный, света в нем почти нет, плотная пелена тумана, пропитанного ядом. Сегодня пытаюсь его носить и это похоже на блуждание по темному лабиринту улиц недавно покинутого всеми города. Вслепую и наощупь. Урбанистично и немного пугающе.
