Art by @gaia.azzi Vortex is the second piece in my collection at the Artling's (@theartling) Generative Art section. Printed and mounted below a clear acrilyc layer, this A3 print will come with brackets for hanging, eliminating the need for frames. Make sure you check it out through the link in my bio! • Vortex is a three dimensional generative artwork resulting from the combination of two mathematical fractal formulas. This piece is mainly characterized by its soft and fluid nature. The malleability and elasticity of its texture is directly related to the iteration count of its formulas: every change induced by the artist results in significant alterations within the main mass and generates a new body of virtual matter. #artprint #digitalartist #artcurator #galleryart #artgeneratif #generative https://www.instagram.com/p/CdDRYJrLbqT/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

“And The Storms In Between” W.S. Cranmore, 2020 ~ 2020 was an emotionally charged year. A year that hasn’t been seen in a long time. It was impossible to not be affected by events, news, and stories in one way or another. “And The Storms In Between” was created at the height of the natural, social, and internal storms that were raging around the world. The colors are deep like our emotions, the composition is charged like our hopes. This painting is 18x24” on heavy stock paper. Currently available framed or unframed. DM to inquire. ~ ~ ~ #paintingsonpaper #storms #landscape #darkpainting #pandemic #covid #repost #installation #concept #contemporarypainting #theartling #abstractmag #onlinearchive #abstractpainting #postmodern #bidgala #artmarket #wscranmore #americanartist (at Milwaukie, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMP5ofMnhdw/?igshid=1kv7f1ttmbi7e

@theartling ・・・ Masked Sentiment IV by Abhishek Kumar 2019 / Oil on canvas / Unique Work Series-8, Abstract Portraits "I tried to create works in which the actual event still has to take place or just has ended: moments evocative of atmosphere and suspense that are not part of a narrative thread. The drama unfolds elsewhere while the build-up of tension is frozen to become the memory of an event that will never take place." #oilpainting #oiloncanvas #contemporaryart #originalart #painting #abstractart #knifepainting #abstractportrait #fineart #abhishekkumarart #artwork #artoftheday #uniquework #contemporaryart #corporateart #artforhome #theartling #artconsultant #artcollector #artcurator #artadvisor #art (at Singapore) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8adY7FFQJQ/?igshid=n6h5i2ms4p42

The final look! ✍🏻️✌🏻️❤️ . We were approached by @google and @theartling last year to paint a wall mural in the new Google office. The artwork is based on a quote by William Gibson (chosen by Googlers), “The future is already here – it’s just not very evenly distributed.” The Future Present, 2016, plays with the idea of the written language being visual representations of what we know or have been taught. The background depicts fictional letterforms inspired by three local mother tongues: Chinese, Malay and Tamil. It appears as if real ‘words’ have been calligraphed but on closer inspection, the characters will appear gibberish to the ones who are well-verse with the respective languages. Although unfathomable, every character is inspired by the distinct calligraphic features of each written language. Each series has its own alphabetical system and come together to express Gibson’s quote. The artwork is our expression of the future present where language knows no boundaries. . . . @tolla_sg @kkimtay #handpainted #signpainting #script #alwayshandpaint #google #theartling #cvwql #craftvaries (at Google Singapore, Maple Business City II)

How can I be substantial if I do not cast a shadow?
I must have a dark side also If I am to be whole.
Carl Jung
Brief
It is our moral duty to lead a meaningful life,
because we depend on a narrative to know
who we are and what we are about,
because it combats the suffering.
There is an unalienable reality of finitude and
suffering that characterises people’s lives
and it’s not surprising that they become
embittered and resentful.
Given that life is about drawing out as much positive
outcome as we possibly can from the potential
which surrounds us, we are laden with as much
negative results, when we fail or choose not to do that.
Our efforts compound a structure of being in which we exist,
and the climate of this structure relies heavily on the
collective outcome of every individual effort to
extract good. When we fail to extract what is meaningful
and good from that potential, malevolence is takes place,
because our regrets and bitterness often times grow
from miss opportunities or things we know we should have done.
The one way to overcome this catastrophe is to
take responsibility of our lives so we can solve the big
problem in our small individual way, and when
enough people do this, we make things better.
For example, we can be so laden with problems
that we despair, given our finitude. But despite our tragedy,
we can make something out of the potential or
possibility which presents itself.
With this aim, we improve our odds of extracting good
from the world, and rise from our problems and create
more possibilities for happiness.
It’s not another call to a utopia that’s produced by
human imagination. Its the insistence that without the
proper engagement in truth that your life will degenerate
and you will end up embittered and in chaos.
