#the thing with summer being alive in a grimm somewhere is that it leaves only two possibilities from there:

the thing about strq backstory is that it feels so tantalizingly close. there are plenty of breadcrumbs to follow, and it leads somewhere so, so close to the truth—but there are few final pieces that bring it all together that are missing.
like. summer definitely faced salem, but what lead her there? why did she make that decision? was it an act of desperation that lead to her getting dunked in a grimm pool (to parallel with salem, maybe)? where is she now? dead, alive, or somewhere in-between?
taiyang is being suspicious by not being suspicious. he's definitely part of the inner circle, he knows things, but does he know more, perhaps something that others don't? is there a reason why he stays behind on patch, why he started going on missions again after qrow had sent ozpin the message, "queen has pawns"?
and then there's raven. miss knows more than she lets on but she's not sharing, but how much more? it's likely she has met salem as well—a lot points towards it, at least—but how much did that play a part in her leaving? is that why she assumed salem must have something on lionheart, because salem has something on her?
qrow i got no complaints on. he's doing fine. could talk about his team a bit more, but i'm not sure how enlightening that would necessary be.
all-in-all, i feel like i could make a good guess what went down and in what order and be on right track, at least. but it's the finer details, the tiny bits in-between that could blow the whole case open. not necessarily the type that change the plot completely, rather ones that make motivations clearer, etc.
my only hope is that V9 clears some of it up. like, i don't know, give me trippy magical world visions, or something. anything goes.

you know it's weird how i'd never really considered "what happened to summer rose" to be like a mystery box thing since while it was always obvious that her final mission would one day be related to the plot i have nonetheless spent this whole time assuming that she was still dead. i haven't quite wrapped my mind around the fact that v8 opens up the possibility of her being some mockery of 'alive' and the ramifications that would have on the story

What happened to Lena’s mother?
Here we go, me dissecting a fictional show again, to try and find meaning while its sixth season is on summer break, and because apparently everything may or may not be relevant again. So let’s cut to the chase:
Tumblr media
What we've been told:
"We were visiting family she said. Somewhere by the water, a lake I think. It was... It was so green. It wasn't a very bright day, it was overcast, but my mom said that's where the magic was. It was the rain that made the green. So of course, she went swimming. She didn't come back. [...] I was with her on the shore, when she went in, and when she went under and I did nothing."
[Lena Luthor - 4x07]
I don’t know about you all, but... this whole description always felt strange to me, like there was more going on than Lena’s mother just going for a swim while it was overcast and raining, the loving and devoted mother she’s described as leaving her little girl on the shore alone. In a show like Supergirl and with Lena’s mother’s fairy-tale connection, I find it hard to imagine that the woman just had a leg cramp and drowned... Not to undermine the tragic of it all. For any child a mother’s death and the sub-sequential uprooting would equal to, like, all of a sudden losing one’s whole world, only to be flown to what is essentially a whole new and entirely different world and to be put with a family of strangers...  Is it just me who sees the parallel here? ...where was I? Right. So let me dissect the wording and add my two cents:
Visiting family, huh?
Lena seems to have no other family but the Luthors, with Lionel being her ever absent bio-dad (until he died) and Lex being her half-brother.
Lena's mom said they’d visit family, went into a lake and [presumably] died.
So, was her mother suicidal? Went to 'join' her non-alive family?
If Lena's mother wasn't suicidal, but indeed referring to their family, then... who could she have been referring to?
The visiting part also may or may not imply something non-permanent.
I honestly don’t believe in the “suicidal” approach, as even Lex noted how sunny and light the woman was. She’s described as happy and carefree...
Lena (who according to Lex's journals was capable of remembering people and events from before she was 4 years old accurately) only remembers it was by the water, guesses it was a lake. Something about the location (or something at the location) stuck with Lena as "lake-like".
It was overcast and raining. (Young-)Lena concluded that was what made everything look green. I mean, we assume this happened in Ireland, so green should have been somewhat normal for her? Yet, this stood out to her...
So... magic?
Lena's mother was into that fairy-tale / folklore book, y'know, the one Lena used to find the Medallion of Acrata, that Andrea snagged (and which we seemingly will see a lot more of in s06).
Tumblr media
The medallion being real is a rather good indicator that whatever 'magic' is described in that book is at least to some degree rooted in (the show's) reality.
[Aside from “The Adventure of Acrata”, the set-designers inserted “Hans in Luck”, “The Fox's Brush” and “The Grateful Beasts” (Brothers Grimm) to the book’s pages. Oookay.]
Tumblr media
Green, so green.
Most obvious thought would be Kryptonite. But I cannot find any reference of green Kryptonite doing something that could remotely fit the scene described. I was sorta hoping, maybe the rain tainting everything green could be a meteor shower, but this event happened in 1997. Kal's pod (and the accompanying Kryptonite shower) fell to Earth around 1979. Couldn't have been some greenK following in the wake of Kara's pod either, because that didn't arrive on Earth until 2003.
Also also, Lena's mother apparently knew where to go in advance. This leads me to believe it may have been a "natural" occurrence.
What else is green?
Well, the Arrowverse’s Temporal Vortex for one.
Tumblr media
Or the sky (light) at the Dawn of Time.
Tumblr media
Am I really alone in the belief, that maybe, just maybe, Lena’s mother searched and found a “magical” place that happened to be some sort of portal?  ...to “visit family”? Maybe? Possibly had intended to take Lena with her? Something went wrong (as things always do when magical stuff is involved)?
"So of course, she went swimming," she said in a sarcastic tone.
That can easily be adult-Lena's way of belittling the moment, distancing herself from her own pain by adding some sarcasm. Lena's mother clearly went into something (”lake-like”), and never came back, presumably in a good mood (at least not scared) and without hesitation. Lena thinks "lake" and her mother "going under", while she herself remained at the edge of the event. Remember: This whole narration is what her 4-yo self saw and understood, revisited through an (guilt-ridden, self-deprecating) adult’s lens.
Here's a little tidbit, that I found checks quite a lot of boxes:
In Celtic/Irish mythology there is this supernatural "Otherworld" (aka Avalon in the King Arthur Legend), a realm of the deities and possibly also of the dead / ancestors and/or heroes. Apparently it is similar to a parallel universe (or some sort of multiverse) and a happy place. This elusive place is reached by entering ancient burial mounds, caves or by going under the waters of pools, lakes or the sea (giving it one of its many other names, Tír fo Thuinn, "land under the wave") or by crossing the western sea. And/or it sorta connects (at certain times or random / aforementioned places), signaled by fog, mists, sudden changes in the weather, appearance of unusual animals or divine beings. In tales featuring this realm, sometimes the hero returns after what he believes is a short time, only to find that all his companions are dead and he has actually been away for hundreds of years.
You know where you'd learn about “Otherworld” (aside from wikipedia)? In a book of fairy-tales, folklores and myths.
Now, there’s currently this fan-theory that Nyxlygsptlnz could be ...Lena’s mother...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alright, similar’ish hair-do. I give you that. And the way the clothing bunches at the shoulders looks similar... It’s possible, I guess. Visually, at least.
However, Nyxly shared her troubled past, and Miss “tried to cut my father's throat” seems to not have (had) nearly the care-free, loving, playful, free-spirited character Lena’s mother has been described with. Who sang an Irish lullaby to a 7 year old Lex. And worked with/for Lionel for several years... Plus, wasn’t Lena to look ‘exactly’ like her mother?  So... yeah, if the writers go there, I will have serious problems suspending my disbelief.  That’s all I have for the moment.  Thanks for reading and as always don’t feel shy to correct me or help me find more clues.

Raven is the Key to Saving Summer Rose
So... I’ve had a theory in my head for a long time now and I mean a really long time.
So... Everybody’s watched RWBY Volume 8 at this point and has been introduced to the abomination that is The Hound.
Tumblr media
And of course, we all know that inside the hound was a Silver Eyed Warrior.
Tumblr media
The Hound is the perfect combination of human and Grimm, Salem’s ultimate experiment with them that has lead to rather horrific results. A Grimm that not only is capable of destruction like all the others, but capable of human adaptability to the point of speech.
It’s likely that The Hound is even possible due to the nature of Silver Eyed Warriors, with their eyes being able to burn away at Grimm Essence, I imagine that the Silver Eyes are at least able to repel the essence enough to keep them alive but not enough to actually free them. I like to believe that Salem found a way to make it so there’s a constant supply of Grimm Essence running through their bodies that aren’t able to be fully warded off by their eyes. It leaves the host in a near constant state of agony as a result, allowing The Hound to be exactly what it is.
The general idea presented is that The Hound is able to exist because Salem figured out away to allow the energy from the God of light to be in constant balance with that of the God of Darkness. Two opposing forces in equilibrium with one another.
With Salem having hunted so many Silver Eyed Warriors over the years, Ruby makes what is likely the correct assumption in the episode “Risk.”
Tumblr media
So... What do we have here? We have the likelihood that Summer is another Hound who I’m sure we’ll be seeing later on in the show, probably after RWBY leaves the void and I imagine that this threat of a Summer Hound is probably gonna be something that Ruby and Yang are going to have to face on multiple occasions. That sort of heartbreak, is something that I imagine Rooster Teeth is gonna wanna toy with for a while.
This is an arc that could make up the entirety of a volume and in the end, they could just kill Summer and call it a day, y’know? But I think that maybe there’s a chance to actually save her.
I talked about the two forces that make up the Hound being in Equilibrium with each other. So... I imagine in order to actually stop The Hound from operating without killing the Host, you’d need something to upset that balance and what could possibly upset that balance? Magic.
Enter, Raven.
Tumblr media
As we know, Raven Branwen is the current Spring Maiden and as a Maiden, she is one of six magic users in the current world of RWBY. If we’re to believe that magic is the thing that can save someone from the fate of The Hound, then I believe of the six Raven is the choice you go with in order to save Summer. But the question is, how exaclty do we do this?
Well... I have a scenario in mind.
The entire Rose, Xiao Long, Brawen family is there having an all out brawl with a Summer hound and among them is Raven Branwen. Or maybe it’s just a few of them. Either way, the three major players that have to be in this fight are Ruby, Yang and Raven. I’d like Qrow and Tai there too but eh, beggars can’t be choosers. Either way, It’s Brawl in the Family as one would say.
So we have this fight. It’s heart-felt, it’s emotional and everyone’s crying. Ruby’s desperately trying to burn the hound away and leave her mom behind with her silver eyes while Raven’s trying to use her Maiden Magic on the hound but nothing is really working. Summer’s still in there and she’s giving them the beat down of the century. It’s awful.
And then… Somewhere along the way, near the end of an episode, The Hound is ready to deliver a killing blow on Yang only for Raven to rush in and save her.
She gives a line about how “I guess I broke my rule.” Or something only to pass away and the Maiden Powers leave her body.
We have a moment where we get a close up of Yang’s face, her eyes are closed only for them to snap open and we see her eyes red with her semblance, her hair blazing with fire and everything she’s not happy despite Raven being kinda the worst.
Tumblr media
but you know what… Her eyes are not ablaze with Maiden Fire. Nope, it’s just her semblance doing her thing. Yang is not the Spring Maiden.
In the next episode the fight would continue and throughout the episode we as viewers are wondering “Wait, if Yang doesn’t have the Maiden powers then where did they go?”
Only for The Hound to start acting strange throughout the battle. It’s movements start to become sluggish, it occasionally convulses and its starting to grow weaker throughout the battle.
Everyone’s confused.
And then… we get a brief moment where The Hound’s Grimm essence slowly melts away and you see that Summer is in there and can you believe it we see silver eyes blazing with Maiden Fire as she writhes with pain, fighting against the Grimm essence and letting out blood curdling scream as the curse of the Grimm battles with a new blessing bestowed upon her.
Raven gave the Maiden Powers to Summer Rose and now, that magic is battling with The Hound’s Grimm Essence from the inside rather than out.
Can the Maiden Powers combined with silver eyes burn the Grimm Essence away or will they now have a new problem of having to deal with a Hound that is also a Maiden?

(My Very Own) Top 20 Sterek Fics
Here is my very own Top 20 Sterek Fics (out of order)
For me, these fanfictions are a “MUST READ NOW!!!” kind of deal. These authors have so much talent, it’s incredible. These stories are just marvelous and deserve LOVE ! So, I decided to share them with you.
I’ve read most of these fics several times and some of them are even my bedside table books (with Harry Potter and the Prisonner of Azcaban and Jane Eyre)
So here we go!
1:  Enemy Lines by @qhuinn -  150k - Explicit - Dystopia - Enemies to friends to lovers - Action/adventure
This is the story of werewolf Derek Hale and human Stiles Stilinski: two people who grew up in the same town but completely different worlds, their realities split by the war between men and wolves.
Years later when Derek returns to Beacon Hills, he does it as Alpha of a military pack on a mission to capture those responsible for the region’s resistance. With his main objective, Sheriff Stilinski, out of sight, he settles for the next best thing: his son, Stiles.
Neither of them suspects they’ll need to trust each other if they want to make it out this alive.
2:  Actions Speak Louder than Words by @isthatbloodonhisshirt - 435k - Explicit - The BEST and slowest burn there is - Spark Stiles/Mute Derek - Friends to Lovers
“I apologize.” The cop finally looked back up at his face, seeming thrilled. “It’s just—it’s been so long. And we finally have you.”
That was a bad word. Not found.
Have.
Stiles wrenched his hand free and took a step back, but before he could even think up a gameplan, he felt a prick in his neck and jerked away, reaching up to slap one hand against it and twisting in the same moment.
One of the others had come up behind him while he hadn’t been paying attention, and his vision began to swim even as his eyes caught sight of the half-empty syringe the guy was holding.
3: Radio Tower by @hyperlittlenori - 130k - Explicit - Dystopia - Hope - Slow Burn/Build
Everything was different. The world he knew was gone. It’d been a long time since he’d started thinking he was probably one of the last humans on earth, that out there the only sentient beings were those that would devour him whole. He wasn’t sure why he continued with the radio broadcasts, continued to talk into nothingness. The only explanation was that there was a spark of hope in him yet that he wasn’t alone. The lonely safety Stiles has built around an old radio tower in the middle of nowhere is about to be broken. Stiles isn’t sure if Derek is a harbinger of chaos or hope at the end of the world.
4:  The Hollow Moon by @thepsychicclam - 180k - Explicit - Fix-It - Memory Loss - Slow Burn/Build
It's the summer after Stiles' first year of college, and he's working a crappy job and dealing with nightmares and anxiety - but he's okay, he swears. He makes it through most days without too much trouble. Then, a certain werewolf comes back into town. Which Stiles doesn't care about, nope, not at all.
After two and a half years, Derek returns to Beacon Hills with his small Pack. Though he tried to move on, something just kept drawing him back to Beacon Hills, he's just not sure what. Now, he figures he can start building something like a life - but he keeps getting distracted by Stiles Stilinski of all people.
5 :  Amor Fati by @alocalband  - 43k - Explicit - Consent is sexy - First Time - Fluff & Angst
When Stiles gets thrown into the bank vault about twenty minutes after him, Derek isn’t even surprised. As it turns out, neither is Stiles.
6 :  (not so) Pure Imagination by theroguesgambit - 33k - Explicit - Shared fantasies - Angst with a happy ending - hotdamn!
"There is a world where whenever someone fantasizes about you, you can physically feel it, but you have no idea who is thinking it about you."
Stiles knows it's wrong, but he's been Fantasizing about Derek and he can't bring himself to stop. Derek doesn't know who's taken an interest in him, but he's enjoying it way more than he probably should.
7: What I Did On My Summer Vacation by grimm - 119k - Explicit - Wolf!Derek - Slow Burn/Build - Friends to Lovers
There's something weird about Beacon Hills that Stiles can't quite put his finger on. The way everyone in town knows his name the day he arrives. The way they insist the melancholic howling that echoes through the forest every night is just a dog. The way his dad denies getting a dog, even though Stiles comes home to find one sprawled across his bed, some big black thing whose eyes gleam red in the right light. The way that massive oak tree out in the woods vibrates under his touch, pulsing with sickly life.
There's something weird going on in this town, and Stiles is determined to get to the bottom of it.
8:  Stand Fast in Your Enchantments by @devildoll - 77k - Explicit - Captivity - Feral!Derek - Angst with a happy ending
"Stiles knew damn well what a pissed-off wolf sounded like, and every hair on the back of his neck was telling him that somewhere in this room was a very pissed-off werewolf." An AU in which Derek is feral, Stiles is magical, and they eat a lot of fast food.
9 :  What Fresh Twilight Bullshit Is This? by @isthatbloodonhisshirt - 196k - Explicit - Soulmate - Slow Burn - Misunderstandings
“I am not Bella!” he insisted, shaking his fist angrily at Jackson, as if he’d been the one to suggest he was. “I am not Bella! I am, like, a Jacob, at least!”
Lydia made a noise of debate from his right and he whipped around to look at her.
“What?! What was that sound?!”
“You’re more of a Mike,” she insisted, shrugging neatly and flipping some curls over her shoulder.
“Wha—” Stiles had never been so offended in his life! “I am not! No way! I am a solid Jacob!”
“Mike,” she argued.
“Who’s Mike?” Scott asked.
“Shut up, Scott!” Stiles insisted, pointing a finger at him but still glaring at Lydia.
10 :  taste your beating heart by @cinematicnomad - 112k - Mature - Pack Dynamics - Slow Burn/Build - Stilinski Family Feels
Something was wrong in Beacon Hills. Derek was halfway across the country when he felt a call to return to his hometown, and somehow Stiles had been talked into letting the werewolf stay in his guest bedroom. This could lead to nothing good.
11 :  between the click of the light and the start of the dream by @thepsychicclam 105k - Explicit - Pack Dynamics - Getting Togheter - Fluff & Angst
A twig snaps, and then Stiles hears breathing and the rustle of leaves. He strains to get a better glimpse into the darkness, but it’s pointless. There’s nothing but a black void.
It's Stiles' senior year, and he's trying to concentrate on normal things - like the lacrosse championship, spring break, prom, graduation (and definitely not Derek) - when he starts having nightmares and waking up in the middle of nowhere. Oh yeah, and he's being haunted by a hag. Great.
12:  And You Say You're Alone by taelynhawker - 30k - Explicit - Pack Dynamincs - Bad Friend Scott - Romance
Between the kanima, the Argents, and Peter's untimely return from the dead, everything has fallen apart. Stiles and Derek try to put their lives back together once the crisis has passed. Stiles deals with the aftermath of being tortured, and the distance growing between he and Scott. Derek attempts to become a stronger alpha and keep his pack safe, and that includes Stiles.
13:  Trust Fall by Stoney - 144k - Explicit - Body Swap - Hurt/Confort - Slow Burn/Build
Stiles is fairly certain that a case could be made for every bad thing in his life coming back to Peter Hale. This time it's pissing off a powerful witch, who retaliated by swapping Stiles and Derek a la Freaky Friday, because sure. That makes sense. Um, there are GPAs on the line, not to mention the whole thing where his dad wants to shoot Derek on sight. Except who he sees as Derek is actually Stiles, and Stiles did not sign up for filicide.
Great. Wait...does this mean he's the Alpha until they figure this out? Holy. Shit.
****
Derek had stood in front of the bathroom mirror for a few minutes trying to control the panic as he saw himself as Stiles. As the loud mouthed human friend of the pack. He was going to kill Peter. He was going to kill the witch, then he was going to kill Peter. Maybe even resurrect him again just to kill him all over.
They were going to have to play this cool. They would have to stay calm and focused. Which is of course why the universe threw him into this situation with someone who physically couldn't be calm and focused.
Of course.
14:  Gravity's Got Nothing on You by @zosofi - 84k - Explicit - Fake/Pretend Boyfriends - Humor - Romance
“Three weeks,” Derek says.
“Still don’t want to,” Stiles says.
“I’ll pay you,” Derek says, and that… that has Stiles interested. Alf’s Antique’s may be a great job, but it’s not a high-paying job, and half of Stiles’s tuition is coming from financial aid, so…
“How much,” Stiles asks, “are we talking here? Because I know your family, dude. And it’ll be kind of awkward after.“
“My family thinks you’re some sort of fucking gift to the world,” Derek seethes, like he’s jealous, “they’ll probably be pissed at me when we break it off, so don’t worry about that. Five hundred bucks.”
“A thousand,” Stiles says, because screw ethics. Also, the Hale family is loaded. Derek can deal.
15:  Every Step You Take by @nokomiss - 49k - Mature - Magic - UST - Secret Feelings
Stiles accidentally ends up magically bound to Derek. It’s super.
16:  Baking My Way Into Your Heart by theSilence - 179k - Mature - College AU/Coffee Shop AU - Slow Burn/Build - Friends to Lovers
Derek is an uptight college student, all work and no play. His carefully scheduled life is thrown kilter when his regular barista is replaced with someone new.
17:  Windows by @drgrlfriend - 83k - Explicit - Blind!Stiles - Friends to Lovers - Found Families
Derek has a new neighbor who won't stop looking.
Excerpt:
“You’re blind,” Derek said flatly, the anger draining from him so suddenly he felt almost woozy. His vision cleared, his claws sliding back into blunt fingernails.
“Thanks for the memo, genius,” the kid said acidly. “I can still fucking defend myself, so don’t take another damn step.”
“Fuck, I...I’m sorry,” Derek stuttered.
“What?!” The kid’s brow crinkled. “I mean — what?! You’re fucking sorry!?” His lips thinned into a harsh line. “What, is this some kinda Hallmark movie where you’re discovering the error of your ways because you don’t want to rob a blind person?! That’s fucking condescending, man. I’ll have you know that —”
“Just, wait.” Derek interrupted what was apparently the start of a convincing argument as to why he should rob the kid after all, feeling his head start to spin. “This is — it’s a misunderstanding. I’m — I’m not robbing you. You’re — you’re safe, okay? I’m taking three steps back. Just — just let me explain.”
“Explain why you came busting into my apartment? Yeah, go right ahead, man, I can’t wait to hear this epic tale.”
18 :  Just to See You Again by MellytheHun (@loserchildhotpants) - 15k - Explicit - Love Letters - Getting Together - College AU
A sterek college!AU where writing student Stiles specializes in love letters, runs a blog about it and can be commissioned to write love letters on behalf of lovers who are at a loss for words.
He makes some cash, he’s good at what he does (especially when he gets to be a little more explicit in his letters), it pays for his textbooks and that’s all he’s really looking for and life is fine. That is, until someone anonymously commissions him to write a love letter to mathematics student, Derek Hale.
19:  Chasing Slumber by @hyperlittlenori - 21k - Explicit - Post-Nogitsune - Porn With Feelings - Fix it
Stiles finds solitude and a glimpse at recovering from his ordeal with the Nogitsune in a dingy motel far from Beacon Hills. Inhuman blue eyes follow his silent struggles in the darkness of the room and he can no longer pretend to sleep, pretend he hasn’t been profoundly changed by all that has happened. He can only let his fingers stretch out across threadbare but clean sheets and clench around them, in a failed attempt at not reaching for Derek.
20 :  the thread is ripping by @thepsychicclam - 36k - Explicit - Pinning - Angst with a happy ending - Flashbacks
Stiles is 27 now, with a master’s degree and a career and a house and a serious boyfriend and a life in San Francisco that doesn't include Derek. But then Stiles unexpectedly shows back up in Beacon Hills, and Derek would recognize that scent anywhere.

fireworks - mammon
❝ I OFTEN THINK THE NIGHT IS MORE ALIVE AND RICHLY COLORED THAN THE DAY ❞
in which a certain white-haired demon keeps pulling you away from his brothers (gn! reader)
         fandom ; obey me!
         word count ; 2085
         warnings ; n/a
         (y/n) - your name
this is based on the recent summer festival event :) i love mammon with my whole heart
this isn’t the best thing i’ve ever written, considering i haven’t written in a while, but i hope you like it! it’s my first time writing for obey me, so i hope i did alright. i tried hard to find mistakes, but if i missed any, don’t hesitate to tell me!
You couldn’t contain your excitement as your feet hit the pavement and lights danced in your vision. It had been a while since you had been to a proper festival.
You walked past countless booths, each one seeming more incredible than the last. The games didn’t look all that different from the ones you had in the human world, which surprised you. There was buttery popcorn and sickly sweet candy, the smells were intoxicating.
Mammon, the ever spirited boy, was jumping around. The smile on his face was one of radiance, you wished it would stay like that forever. It nearly brought you to tears.
“I’m so psyched!” He exclaimed, tugging on your sleeve with a faint blush on his cheeks. You heard Beel’s deep laugh behind you, “We haven’t even started yet, and he’s already fired up!”
Once your booth was set up, each of the boys was beaming at their handiwork. It was nice to see them all working together for a change.
Lucifer explained the outline of the evening. You would all rotate between cooking and selling based on the lots you drew earlier. There would be two cooks and two salespeople while everyone else was free to wander the festival.
According to this system, you’d be selling first alongside Mammon. You felt a sort of tingling sensation in the pit of your stomach as your lips quirked up.
Ever since you arrived at the House of Lamentations, you felt the closest to the white-haired demon. He made you feel safe and comfortable. He was your first after all, and he never failed to remind anyone and everyone. His brothers always teased him because of this, but you didn’t mind. You thought it was cute.
“I guess you and me are up first for sellin’, (y/n). Think ya can manage?” Mammon questioned, moving so he stood behind the counter.
“You can count on me!” You assured him, even if you were a bit nervous. You had never done anything like this up in the human world, but the only way to learn was to do.
He let out a soft chuckle, “That’s what I like to hear!”
It didn’t take long for a few customers to walk by, stopping to gaze at the bright pink sign Asmo had painted. You had suggested making it stand out, to which he wholeheartedly agreed.
“Welcome!” Mammon greeted, drawing out the second part of the word, “How about a deliciously sweet candy apple? The sugar coating’s crunchy, and we use only the freshest apples!” His words seemed to draw people in. He had always been charismatic, it seemed almost second nature to him.
The couple nodded, placing an order for two apples.
“Way to go!” You complimented him with a smile after handing the two their orders.
“What, are you in awe of the Great Mammon’s sales skills?” A scoff left your lips, “I ain’t gonna lose to anyone when it comes to stuff like this!”
It was mere moments before another demon stopped in front of your booth. Mammon shoved you forwards, “You’re up next, (y/n)!”
You took a deep breath and greeted him, leaning over the counter, “Hey, handsome!” That sure got his attention, “Come try out glossy candy apples!” You finished it off with a big smile.
“That’s it! And here’s two for you, sir! Please come again!” Mammon handed over the apples before turning back to you, “You nailed it!”
It went on like that for a while, you and Mammon would take turns trying to lure in customers. After a while, it seemed to come naturally and you were almost sold out.
Lucifer came forwards to let the two of you off on a break, meaning your shift was halfway over.
“Here, have a drink. You’ve earned it,” The white-haired demon’s hand outstretched to you, holding a small paper cup.
Both of you took a drink, you using the opportunity to take in the figure in front of you. While you always thought he looked handsome, he looked especially so tonight. The lights cast by the red and white lanterns gave his smile a glow that felt, ironically, heavenly. The gold, white, and red colors of his yukata were vibrant against his tanned skin, making you almost drool.
“You did pretty well,” He spoke, breaking you out of your trance.
     “Thanks to you, Mammon.”
Your words brought a bright blush to his cheeks, you had to hold back your laughter. He was so easy to fluster, it was adorable.
“Wh-What’s with the cute act? You lookin’ for a kiss?”
It was your turn to turn red. You could feel your face heating up, flowing to the tips of your ears. Your eyes danced with mirth, taking a step closer to him.
     “Yep.”
His eyes widened, it seemed like he thought you would have said no. “Fine! But only because ya want it so bad,” He tried to play it off, but his face had definitely gotten redder.
It seemed like he was going agonizingly slow, waiting for you to back up if this was a joke. You reached your hand up, placing it softly on his face. He nuzzled his nose into it.
Your lips pressed against each other’s soon after. They were a bit chapped and tasted like the candy coating of your apples. What were mere seconds felt like an eternity. You always felt like time stopped when you were this close to him.
His eyes were still closed when you pulled back, the red still evident on his face. A soft sigh fell from his lips when he opened them and smiled. The two of you held each other’s gaze for a few moments before he broke the comfortable silence.
“Okay, I’ve got my pep back! Rest up, then let’s go sell some more apples!”
The pair of you worked in sync, one greeting and taking Grimm while the other handed apples out.
“Mammon, (y/n), it’s almost time to switch,” Lucifer finally announced, causing you to turn your gaze over to him.
“Finally! I’m exhausted,” The demon next to you let out a huff, reaching his arms up and arching his back as he stretched.
   -----
You didn’t see much of Mammon until all the candy apples sold out. After that, you had to take your booth down, it felt like you had only just put it up. The night was going by so fast!
With all the brothers finally free, you took the opportunity to walk around with them. It was a struggle to try and keep up with how energetic Mammon was. He would often take your hand, trying to lead you off somewhere else but the rest of them were always close behind. They weren’t about to leave you alone with him of all people.
When music filled the air, you were all drawn to a small plaza filled with people dancing. You watched in awe at the couples twirling and laughing, it seemed like they were having a great time.
You reached over, grabbing Mammon’s hand, “Come on!” You laughed, a smile gracing your lips.
He happily agreed, holding onto you tight so you wouldn’t slip away.
Mammon switched between twirling you around and holding you close, but he never once let your hand go. As he looked down at you with those cobalt eyes, you felt like you two were the only people in the world.
Every so often, his brothers would try to cut in, claiming it was their turn with the human! He was hogging them! Mammon would swiftly pull you away, shaking his head at them and sticking his tongue out. This caused you to laugh, setting your forehead on his shoulder.
The two of you ended up gently swaying, his right hand rubbing up and down your back while his left held your hand in his. He opened his mouth to speak but quickly shut it again, looking away while his face flushed red once more.
“What is it?” You inquired, reaching your hand up to brush away the bangs that fell over his eyes.
“I... I was just gonna say ya look really... Nice right now.”
A genuine smile grew on your face, letting your hand drag down his cheek. “I think you look incredibly nice right now.” He finally gained the courage to look at you, a bright grin growing on his lips.
“Of course ya think I do! I am the Great Mammon after all!”
You laughed as he returned to his normal self. You leaned up, rubbing your nose into his cheek, placing a soft kiss on it.
“H-Hey! What do you think you’re doin’?” He stuttered out but none the less, he brought you closer.
“Ah, it’s almost time for the fireworks...” You heard Lucifer comment, causing you to pull from Mammon’s embrace.
“Oh, that’s right! Hey, (y/n)! Come with me. I know a great spot for watching the fireworks!” Mammon took your hand in his once more, starting to pull you off in a direction opposite his brothers.
It wasn’t long before you heard your name being shouted behind you, but you were too giddy to care. Voicing your curiosity, you asked Mammon where he was taking you.
He answered with a simple smile, quickening his pace.
The scene in front of you was striking. He tugged you up a hill which overlooked the whole festival. The fireworks started soaring off into the sky as you took a seat next to your demon.
Your eyes filled with wonder and amazement as you took in all the lights, colors, and smells in front of you. “Wow, Mammon.”
“Yeah, pretty, ain’t it! I knew you’d like it, I am your first man after all!” He grinned, proud of himself.
“Yeah, you are,” With that, you wrapped your arms around his waist, nudging his arm over your shoulders.
There was an undeniable heat radiating off of him, fueling the redness in both of your cheeks.
The lights danced in the sky, letting off sparks of red and green and yellow.
Mammon turned his head, raising a hand to grab your chin. He tilted your head to the side so you were facing him.
The look of utter admiration in his eyes was enough to give you butterflies. The tickling in your stomach increased every second he looked at you, you felt like your heart might beat out of your chest. You had never had anyone look at you quite like this before.
“Can I... Can I kiss ya?” His voice was soft as velvet, searching your face for any kind of hesitation. You had never had anyone care this much about you either.
Your words were stuck in your throat, so you simply nodded.
His touch on your cheek was tender as you watched his eyes flutter shut. You were in the process of shutting yours when you heard loud voices and rushed footsteps. A soft growl left Mammon as he pulled back.
“They’re up here, I know it!” Levi exclaimed, scrambling up the hill.
“Mammon! You can’t just take the human off like that! You’ve had them enough today!” Asmo cried as the six demons came into view.
You turned your head to look at the brothers and, suddenly, your quiet filled with the sound of raised voices.
“Come now, Mammon. You know you can’t have them for yourself.”
     “That’s not fair!”
“Hey! They wanted to be here with me!”
     "Yeah, right!"
You sighed, shaking your head as you grew tired of their silly fight. It could be annoying, but it's not like you had seven cute guys fighting for your affection in the human world.
“How about we all watch them together?” You suggested, looking from one brother to the next.
It took a few moments for them to process what you said.
Mammon was the first to speak, grumbling, but in agreement. “Alright, fine. If that’s what my human wants.”
You weren’t sure how much of the firework show was left, but you were okay spending it with all of them. You’d have to get your kiss later.
Seven bodies surrounded you, Mammon to your right, and Belphie snuggling up to you on the left. You took a look at all of them, smiling to yourself contentedly.
Mammon was sulking next to you, not at all happy that his time with you had been interrupted. You reached your hand over, lacing your fingers with his, giving his hand a light squeeze. He looked down at you, his eyes immediately softening.
You leaned up, pressing your lips against his chin.
     “Hey! Wait! That’s not fair!”
thank you for reading :) have a good day!

“Thus Kindly I scatter.”
While I’m totally down with the idea of Summer Rose being dead the thought of her being alive too is really interesting. I mean that not like it sounds lol I don’t want her dead, but I feel like “Red Like Roses II” made all of us feel that way and to an extent “Sacrifice” as well with the line ”the moon will sadly watch the roses die.” Her gravestone referencing The Last Rose of Summer also alludes to this.
but also like.  The thought of her being alive is like. SO FUCKED UP LIKE
did she get captured somewhere? Is she working for Salem? Is she actually dead? Will we actually ever get an answer?? WTF HAPPENED
(I’d find the idea of her being captured for years not only absurd but kinda boring anyway. It’d be as simple as freeing her and then she’d be back. But, it’s a possibility nonetheless)
I’ve got 3 ideas I’m gonna ramble on here, lol, so bare with me.
1. Summer works for Salem/joined Salem’s team.
The idea of her working for Salem is just like... So heartbreaking. She’s always been portrayed as this loving person. This... warmth in everyone’s hearts. The “best of all of us” as Qrow puts it himself. To see her get coerced to the dark side, working in the shadows, working against Ruby herself, maybe without even realizing it. Oof. OOOF.
I don’t even necessarily disagree with Salem to some extent MYSELF. She was horribly wronged by the Gods, and while she was flawed, did not deserve what she got AT ALL. Her side of the story is just as tragic as Oz’s, and she could easily spin it to where hers seemed MORE tragic than Oz’s. Salem has been portrayed as a master manipulator after all. To have Salem spin her own story and tell it to Summer and have what she’s saying even partially align with what Oz told Summer? Just might’ve been enough to make Summer feel like the bad guy herself and convince her to side with her or at least made her feel her efforts were in vain. Maybe she’s naive and is trusting of what she said because it was convincing enough.
OR, Salem could have told her that she was unkillable. She offered her to even try and kill her to prove it, and she does try, but, after seeing for herself that Salem can’t be killed, she just breaks down. Years of training. Years of fighting for what she thought was a solvable problem just thrown out the window because of something Oz had neglected to mention, and instead of Salem killing her, she thinks to utilize Summer’s skill and offers to let her join her side. So, she joins her because she feels like she can’t stop her anyway. Maybe she even does it out of fear. Obviously she can’t go back to Ruby now, and even if she could, she wouldn’t have wanted to drag her into it anyway. (It’s evident from Red Like Roses II that she loves Ruby a LOT.)
The lyrics from Red Like Roses II just keep popping up in my head with this idea though “Wish I could talk to you if only for a minute, make you understand the reasons why I did it” “But baby please don’t do what I did, I don’t want you to waste your life in vain”  “You’re not the only one who needed me, I thought you understood”
Which, originally, it made me think she died, regretted even trying because she may have learned about how Salem is unkillable beforehand on her own, and that the others that needed her were Oz and the ones she was trying to protect.
But also, these could be applied to her joining/teaming up with Salem as well. The “reasons why she did it” could be her explaining why she teamed up with her to Ruby so she at least had some closure. She would’ve felt like she wasted her life in vain because she found out Salem was unbeatable (and she uses coercion or manipulates her to join her side. Maybe Salem even lied about Oz a bit.) Maybe she was on her side for a while before she disappeared, but still worked for Oz for Ruby and Yang’s sake. (maybe even Tai and Qrow’s as well. Maybe just to keep her own image up so she could “die a hero” rather than “Live long enough to become the villain.”)  If she was on Salem’s side, she’d obviously would need her to do things as well, so she’d set off on “her own” missions. And when she felt the time was right, finally just took off, not being able to keep up working for both sides anymore. Or just not wanting to side with Oz anymore.
Oof.
OR, a more kinda crazy theory, she was brainwashed in some form or another to join Salem, but that seems way less likely.
2. She ran away herself for similar reasons Raven did.
At least, a speculated reason Raven left.
Summer, with her silver eyes, was obviously very important and was a force to be reckoned with, but, what if that pressure got to her like the pressure of being a maiden got to Raven?
We see the pressure of being the team leader practically killing Ruby right now in Vol 7. The weight of the world is on her shoulders right now. (Funny she’s in Atlas, huh? lol.) Summer would’ve been in a similar situation. Oz would be there to direct her on what to do, but he’d obviously would have to have a lot of faith in her. I’d even argue to say that Summer was one of Oz’s best allies because of her silver eyes. That puts a lot of pressure and responsibility on people.
I mean Oz broke the rules for STRQ like he did for RWBY, and I speculate it’s because of the silver eyes that Summer and Ruby have.  Its said that those who had Silver eyes were natural born leaders, but I’d argue that it’s the other way around. Oz, knowing of the Silver eyes’ powers, puts them as leaders for the team and essentially forces them to become good leaders. (Or die trying I suppose.)
What if Summer wasn’t as strong as we thought, or as strong as she came off to everyone? Despite the fact that she clearly loved Ruby, (and by extension Yang) what if she had enough?
What if she just wanted a normal life after a while? She obviously was determined to help at first, but what if it started to wear on here after a while and she wanted to stop. She couldn’t because of her importance and responsibility though. She was basically destined to work against Salem. Even if she did try to stop, Oz would obviously convince her to keep trying to defeat Salem, and maybe deep down she really does still want to help, but the pressure inside of her is just building and building with no outlet or vent.
and then one day, she just had enough. Even though she loves Tai and Ruby and Yang, she just can’t take the pressure anymore, and sets off on “her own mission,” leaving her family behind to be in solitude, knowing they wouldn’t want to come with her if she offered/asked them to leave with her. Or maybe she did ask them? Imagine the angst of her asking Tai if they can move like far away and he just being so confused, but catches onto it years after she’s gone. I’ve always felt like Tai wanted the same thing I’m speculating Summer to want here, a normal life with the kids, and he probably fought for it after losing both Raven and Summer. We can assume he knows about the Silver eyes, since Summer was his team mate and the rest of Team RWBY knows as well, and maybe didn’t want Ruby to become a Huntress and definitely didn’t want Qrow to take her on any missions because of it. Maybe he feels like that’s what got Summer killed/to go MIA.
The same heartache pops in my head as in the first theory though either way. She’d be kinda cowardly if that were the case (but still way different than Raven.)  We’ve been shown nothing but good about Summer (With the exception that  she’s a brat but I mean it’s kinda played as a joke.) She’s portrayed as the loving mother, and to have her abandon her kids and family just doesn’t seem right, but we could’ve been wrong about it. That’s just how everyone remember’s Summer. We never knew what was going on her head, after all. At least not yet.
but, in that case though, why not just run off to where Raven was to at least have an ally or someone who understands? I guess she wouldn’t know where she’s at, but Qrow told Yang where she was, so he would’ve presumably knew where she was back then too.  (Rosebird Writers GET ON THIS NOW if you haven’t already cuz I”m sure I’m not the first person to think of something like this. Imagine bandit!Summer LOL.)
3. Summer had a Similar fate to Maria.
(Suicide and gore TW)
What if Summer got her eyes gouged out too? With Maria’s backstory, it was obvious that Silver eyed huntresses/huntsmen were being targeted, presumably by Salem. Summer would be no different. But what if she couldn’t have found her bearings after having her eyes cut like Maria did? What if she couldn’t fight off whoever did it to her and couldn’t survive the fight?
Her mission was more than likely far away from home (and maybe even from civilization) so its probably that couldn’t find her way back home or to civilization even if she survived the fight. Dying alone to starvation or a stray grimm.  Or, maybe she did survive and was able to get somewhere afterwards, but maybe didn’t have access to the eye tech Maria did. What if she did the same thing Maria did? Go into hiding basically in shame. Feeling like she wasn’t helpful anymore and wanting to hide from the world.
Maybe it even broke her mentally.
Maybe she couldn’t recover emotionally from the damage even if she had physically, and took her own life afterwards.
“ So soon may I follow, When friendships decay, And from Love's shining circle The gems drop away. When true hearts lie withered, And fond ones are flown, Oh! who would inhabit This bleak world alone? ”

What really happened to Summer Rose? And why did it lead to Ozpin’s apparent protectiveness over Ruby.
@xstonehill‘s recent analysis post on Summer, the poem “Thus I kindly Scatter”, and what happened in today’s episode of RWBY has gotten me thinking about two things. Summer’s fate and how in the first two volumes of RWBY, we see Ozpin just always right there at the right moment for Ruby when she’s doubting herself or/and down in the dumps. Always keeping an eye on her with his scroll. It’s starting to click much more now thanks to the recent episode.
Firstly on Summer’s case. After learning from Hazel stating they’ve dealt with them before I would assume that the SEWs would come across them in battle to stop Salem’s advances on Remnant. But, no we receive the possible much darker truth about Hazel words.
Those who bear silver eyes are non-stop being HUNTED down by Salem, like Maria was hunted down by Tock and lost her eyes in the process. Which is why Qrow said to Ruby about how ‘special’ she is. How it’s a extremely rare trait to have silver eyes. Instead of being a hereditary rare occasion, what if silver eyes used to be a uncommon trait but, not rare? But, Salem decided to hunt them all down after becoming much of a threat to her plans, dwindling their numbers down incredibly so. Just imagining the thought of someone like Tyrian chasing you down like he chased after Ruby for having silver eye is bringing shivers to my spine. It’s even more spine-chilling considering how mentally unstable he is that I feel the ultimate sympathy for any SEW that had to try and fight him back. However, this is about Summer and her fate. How instead of dying in a glorious fight against Salem’s force. She was merely hunted down perhaps in the middle of a simple mission with Qrow, after all the latter did mumble out loud along the lines of “She’s not coming back, Tai...” while in his sick state. While songs aren’t typically canon, they do convey feelings of emotions for said character towards a being of another or themselves. Hence why Red Like Roses II is being brought in for this.
“I never planned that I would leave you there alone I was sure that I would see you when I made it back home And all the times I swore that it would be okay Now I'm nothing but a liar, and you're thrown into the fray”
Now what can now be inferred is that before Summer left on a mission with most likely having Qrow with her under Ozpin’s orders to protect Summer from any of Salem’s forces. She told little Ruby that she’ll be okay and she’ll see her soon, and the mission was a success, but of course she ended up being hunted down and killed on the way back to Patch. And now Ruby being perhaps one of that last or the only one to have silver eyes is automatically under Salem’s radar for the way she’s born.
Now this is where Ozpin comes in for my second point, he didn’t know Ruby had silver eyes at first. But, after hearing what happened to Summer and knowing that her daughter may be next. He probably had the Xiao Longs moved somewhere much more isolated in Patch first of all. Secondly he most likely placed Qrow under the guise of being a teacher at Signal Academy to keep a closer eye on Ruby, although, he didn’t expect Qrow to teach Ruby how to wield a scythe. And then the day would finally come where Ruby captures the attention of Roman and Cinder who the latter happens to work for Salem and making it on the news as the girl who stopped a Dust store robbery. Which most definitely caught the attention of Salem. Oh, and this definitely needs to be said right now for the sake of this theory and analysis.
Ozpin didn’t let Ruby in two years early just for her skills in combat, he let her in so she can be safe from Salem with himself being able to keep a watchful eye on her and becoming protective of her well being.
Tumblr media
He’s constantly making sure Ruby makes it through the Initiation since there is the possibility that she’s not ready for such training to become a Huntress and also the fact she could die during the Initiation since there are Grimm like Death Stalkers and Nevermores out there. And this isn’t the first time we see him checking on her using his scroll.
Tumblr media
He does it again in the last episode of Volume 1, before getting a message from Qrow. Making sure once again she’s safe.
Tumblr media
Also can we talk about quickly he pops in to cheer up Ruby? Once again this happens more than once.
Tumblr media
And then there’s Ozpin’s speech towards the students before they get sent out on missions.
Tumblr media
“But matter what path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best”
While he telling this to everyone, He is more than once was looking towards the direction of where his students were at mainly. And I can’t help but, think he was looking directly at Ruby as he said those words. To be safe.
Which is why he was okay with them going on a mission not meant for first years. He was aware of what they’ve done during their time at Beacon thus far, and he knew which huntsman was going with them on their mission. Additionally, he was aware that Oobleck would sent them back if they didn’t meet his standards.
However, his protectiveness of Ruby isn’t overbearing at all. In Volume 3, he knows how strong Ruby is now, and how he help taught her and his other students the importance of teamwork and unity. So that’s why he didn’t go directly for her during the Fall of Beacon. Because he has faith in her, and he trusts himself and Ruby that she’ll come back alive.
The reason for this desire to protect Ruby? Well Salem has been hunting her kind down constantly, and Summer and Ozpin were most likely good friends. He just... didn’t want more blood spilled because he failed in protecting those he cares about. He already said he’s made more mistakes than any man, woman, and child. And Ruby’s fate was certainly not going to be one of them.

“You,” A woman clad in white trembled before her team, nearly dropping the large scythe gripped within her hands, “You killed him...”
Two men stood beside the woman, watching as a shimmering red blade slowly hid away in its sheath. The wielder, a tall and strong looking black haired woman, glared down at a freshly made corpse, the body silently breaking apart and fading away into glowing dust as the life finally leaves the horrified eyes. Her burning red eyes showed no notion of regret or mercy as they turned their sights on her teammates, staring in particular at a seething blonde man. A deafening explosion could be heard from somewhere within the compound they occupied, and in seconds the room they stood in began to shake, rubble crumbling down around them
“It happens.”
“Our mission,” The blonde man finally speaks up, his bare fists clenched tight and shaking, as his body flares with a powerful aura, his deep lilac eyes intently glaring upon his uncaring partner, “Our mission, Raven, was to capture that man alive.”
“If I didn’t kill him,” Raven shouts back over the sound of a column collapsing near them, smashing her foot down upon the body, causing a flurry of sparks of life to spread out and illuminate the crumbling room, an action that nearly makes the white-clad huntress wretch, “We’d all be dead! His intent was not to take prisoners.”
“Hey, hey,” the last of the group to speaks up steps between his two teammates, holding his hands up in an attempt to defuse the situation, “Raven was right, that guy was coming at us to kill. She did what she had to do, she saved the team, now let’s g-”
“Shut up Qrow,” the blonde pushed his way past the disheveled man and stepped right up to stand face to face with Raven, who glared up at him without fear as his eyes pierced down towards hers, both ignoring the world falling apart around them as they continued to battle with eyes alone, “And you. You killed him with such ease. He was a fellow Hunter. How could you?”
“Tai,” Qrow spoke up again, his hand reaching behind his shoulder and gripping hold of the hilt of his sword, “Let’s all just drop it.”
“You just watched your own sister kill a man,” Taiyang turned from Raven as he spoke, the immense aura flaring around him growing in intensity and size, “And you dare pull your weapon on me?”
“All of you,” the white hooded huntress spoke up again, despite the shakiness of her voice, it remained strong enough to grab the attention of all those before her, “We need to get out of here...this place is gonna come down and then we’ll all be gone.”
“Fine, Summer’s right,” Taiyang spoke in agreement yet stood still, retaining his glare down to Raven’s eyes as his aura slowly dies down, “Let’s go.”
The group stood quietly in the humble Patch home, none dared speak as they watched the scroll sitting on the table. The tension within the room weighed down on each and every one of them. Raven stood leaning against the counter, her arms crossed and eyes closed, seemingly as uncaring now as she was earlier. Qrow stood by the door, his eyes quickly switching between the silent scroll and his fellow teammates, trying desperately to judge their emotions as time drags on. Summer sat at the table, her head hung in shame as she hid within her hood, it was certainly not her team’s first failure, but it was the first that had ever resulted in a death. Taiyang, however, sat glaring at Raven, his eyes only lose track of her to glance at a small crib sitting in the corner of the room.
“Well,” Everyone’s attention suddenly shifts towards the scroll, as the voice on the other end finally speaks up after it’s long silence, “Forgive me for that. I had to start a fresh pot of coffee.”
The voice sounded almost jovial, setting Taiyang’s nerves on end as his eyes shoot back towards Raven, who has remained still.
“So there was a casualty was there? Shame, but these things do indeed happen. Miss Branwen was correct on that.”
“Oz-”
“Ah ah ah, Mr. Xiao Long,” the voice silenced Tai’s protest and continued on, “It is upsetting, I know. But death it ultimately a part of life. Oh, and Miss Rose?”
“Yes,” Summer didn’t bother even lifting her head, her voice was small and cowered before the possibility of what could come to her, Taiyang noticed Raven open a single eye and glare at her leader with the same animosity she held towards Tai himself earlier in the day.
“Don’t blame yourself my dear, this is entirely on Miss Branwen. Isn’t that right, Raven?”
Raven stood still for a moment, before shifting forward towards the scroll, her eyes set ablaze with such malice that even those in the room who picked up on it were surprised, “Of course. My fault.”
“Very well, I’d like you all to try and get some rest. Oh, and Tai, give my hellos and goodbyes to the little bundle of joy now living in your home. I assure you I will visit soon, but for now, Beacon needs me. In other news, I’m putting Team STRQ on a small suspension, think of it more as a vacation. Use it to relax. Reconnect with each other. Goodbye.”
The scroll beeped once and turned blank, the team sat perfectly still watching it as though they expected more. They watched on in fruitless anticipation as the screen turned black. The tension within the room however, remained.
“So. Care to defend yourself?”
“I killed him. I saved all of you.”
“You murdered a man,” Taiyang shouted, his fists slamming down onto the table as he jumped from his chair, causing Summer to nearly collapse off her chair in shock, Qrow lunging forward to catch her, Taiyang continued his verbal assault as he pointed an accusing finger to Raven, “And the way you did it. The way you killed a fellow Hunter...I’m thinking...I’m thinking you’ve done it before.”
“Tai,” Qrow hissed from his spot level with the table, his hands tightly gripping Summer’s arms, she could only watch on in fear as her team fell apart just as the compound did hours before, “I suggest you watch how you spe-”
“Maybe I have,” Raven responded, her arms still crossed tightly, a snarl on her face, “And if I hadn’t done it, no one else would have, and we’d all be dead. Is that what you want Taiyang? For our daughter to grow up with no parents at all?”
Taiyang stood there, his eyes scanning Raven’s face, his eyes growing sad as he comes to realize the truth.
“It was you...wasn’t it?”
“Tai,” Summer questioned, slowly pulling herself up to her seat with Qrow’s assistance, “Tai...what was her?”
“Tai,” Qrow sternly warned, “Don’t step into this.”
“Jerimyah Mire.”
“That Junior that went missing when we were freshmen,” Summer’s face grew more and more worrisome, “Tai what are you saying?”
“You killed him, didn’t you. I’ve seen that fighting style you used against our target today. It was his. He was the best swordsman in Beacon and-”
“He wasn’t the best,” Raven shouted, throwing her hand out, the faint murmur of a cry could be heard coming from the crib, “I was.”
“Raven,” Summer shook her head, her voice pleading, “Raven...Raven no...no no you can’t mean that.”
Raven stood strong against the counter, her eyes staring out past her team into space, she continues on dryly, “Killing Grimm is easy. When you come from a bandit tribe you learn how to kill Grimm the second you can swing a pointed stick. You learn or you die.”
“Raven,” Qrow narrows his eyes to his sister, speaking out a warning, “You know what Oz said about talking about this.”
“I know his word means next to nothing,” Raven spat out her response, another faint cry sounding out from the crib, “And I know what I was sent here to do. What we were sent here to do, Qrow.”
Qrow shied away from Summer as both her and Taiyang jerk their heads towards him. Summer’s eyes watered, her heart snapping beneath her chest, she silently pleaded for Qrow to tell her something that could reassure her faith in the team, meanwhile, Taiyang’s eyes burned into Qrow's skin as they glared at him.
“And I learned I do it well.”
“Murder,” Taiyang spoke, his eyes not moving from the ashamed Qrow, “You two were sent her to learn how to kill?”
The cries from the crib began to become more frequent, and quickly grew into a full tantrum of tears and sobs, Taiyang broke his line of sight from the room to turn towards the crib, gently walking his way towards it. His face softened as he came into view of the small infant sobbing within, his hands slowly reaching down and takes hold of the baby, slowly lifting it up out of the crib and cradling it in his arms.
“Shhh, shhh, don’t worry my little fire dragon, daddy’s here,” Tai’s voice flowed smoothly, his eyes betraying his face as they well with sadness, “But mommy, she’s gone, left. Abandoned you, both of us.”
“Excuse me,” Raven stepped forward, her fists clenched in anger, “She’s just as much my daughter as yours, you can’t-”
Raven stopped in her tracks as Tai turned his head, giving off a look over his shoulder that sent a chill even down her spine. Both Qrow and Summer rose in anticipation of violence, but both were stopped as Raven lifted a hand. A flash of defeat quickly appearing on her face before being replaced by a stone wall of apathy.
“Fine,” Her voice came out dry, uncaring, though there was a hint of regret in her eyes that Tai wished he didn’t pick up on, “Consider this goodbye. To all of you.”

SilverEye
Just FYI, the rest of the stories of this week are fairly short. Originally I planned to make them all around this length but obviously I got carried away a lot lol.
Day 5 – Spies AU @taiqrowweek
Rating: K+
Summary: It was just a normal day on the job for Qrow. That is, until, his old teammate decided to reappear in his life and start flirting with him. Then it just got complicated. [James Bond-Esque Style AU]
Ao3 Link: SilverEye
Notes: This was just an excuse to make Tai a typical Bond Girl because hell to the yes.
~
The neon lights brightly flashing the name, The Grimm Adventure, had always seemed like a special kind of ironic to Qrow as he walked into the ritzy Vegas casino, the haze of cigarette smoke and the loud chiming of slot machines greeting him despite the still-early hour of the afternoon. It had a strong Asian theme to it, the décor a mixture of stunning reds and brilliant golds and the hostesses in cheongsams with their hair up in buns with chopsticks. He tried not to get too comfortable in the familiar setting, knowing he was walking into the lion’s den. But the clock was ticking. He needed information and without a lead, this was his best shot.
He didn’t want a three-year old’s blood on his hands tonight.
Qrow ducked his head as he weaved his way through the crowd of gamblers, aiming for the bar where tongues would be looser. He settled onto a stool and was greeted by a bartender who had a gruff face that reminded him of a panther. “Double, on the rocks.” He ordered. Once the drink was placed before him, he gave an appreciative nod, lifting it up to his lips.
“Well, you’re a new face.”
He almost dropped his glass, that voice striking a painfully familiar chord in him. He swiveled around slowly, leaning back against the counter as he eyed the man standing a few steps behind him.
He didn’t know what to make of the fact that Taiyang looked surprisingly good in a traditional Chinese suit. Or the fact he was here at all.
“That so?” He tried for a casual tone, even while his heart raced in his ears because what was he doing here? Agent Sun Dragon had been decommissioned almost five years ago, the organization wiping out all traces of him from their records. It wasn’t like he hadn’t understood the circumstances that made Taiyang walk out; had even considered doing the same when Agent Redbird turned up missing-in-action and, after a few months, in the presumed dead files. It had devastated them both, though in different ways.
For him to suddenly resurface at one of the Underground’s central headquarters implied way too many unknowns he had not been prepared for. But Qrow also knew a prime lead when he saw it. So the question was: Was Tai on his side or were things about to go south?
Not seeming to miss a beat, the blond crossed over to settle onto the stool beside him, pressing his ankle up against his. Even after all these years, Qrow still recognized the signal. Stay calm. “So what’s your pleasure gorgeous? You looking for some company?” There was something about the way Tai held the champagne glass and smiled at him that made him appear way more classy and attractive then he ought to.
Apparently, Qrow always being the seducer on their team was an opportunity gravely missed.
“Company’s always welcome.” He said, offering a wink. “Name’s Qrow, but I’m more interested in knowing yours.”
He could tell it was taking great effort for his friend to not roll his eyes. “It’s Zwei.”
Zwei, huh? (Wait, wasn’t that the name he wanted to give to his first dog?) So was he undercover or was it just a ruse to fool him? He didn’t know and the tension he was feeling must have been apparent somehow, because Tai was practically digging his foot in now.
“Qrow, was it?” Tai said, voice subtly sweet as his eyes flickered to the bartender who was preoccupied attending to another patron. “You remind me of another little bird who used to migrate in here a lot. She hasn’t flown by in years though.”
Qrow’s heart stuttered over a beat. Raven.
The other’s blue eyes seemed to burn into his own, that deceptive sweetness taking on a deadly edge. “I hear they missed her so much ‘round here, one night they scattered flower petals in the ocean for her.”
He turned away and let out a soft breath as his chest pulsed with pain. It hadn’t been anything he hadn’t – they all hadn’t – guessed at when she had disappeared on a field mission over half a decade ago. Yet, the confirmation shattered what little hope he still had.
Wait, petals?
Rose!
He snapped his gaze back at Tai, who was taking a sip behind his champagne to hide a smile that seemed to say: Now you’re catching on. Qrow could practically hear his old partner laughing at him.
So, Neptune’s Gate. Go at night. Got it.
The bartender was back, standing casually close and wiping down glasses quietly. No more opportunity to talk.
But there was still something he needed to know.
“So Zwei, I’m curious.” Ice rattled as Qrow swirled his drink. “What’s a respectable guy like yourself doing in a place like this?”
When Tai replied, his tone was level and relaxed. “Same reason as us all, darling.” It was the grip he had on his own glass, threatening to shatter it, that had Qrow nudging his ankle this time. “Just trying to make ends meet for my girls.”
Girls…? As in… plural?
Pieces of the puzzle he had been missing were quickly coming together to make a horrifying picture.
Summer Rose had been part of a covert government operation known as Project: Silver Eyes, a series of illicit experimentation on enhancing D.N.A to create super-powered humans. She had been both a genetics engineer as well as one of the personal test subjects. The funding got cut abruptly when the research was compromised by the Russian espionage and, before more could be unearthed, the project was quickly terminated and all records destroyed. Anyone apart of the research team was relocated and put into the witness protection program. That had been about eight years ago and helping with the displacement of the young scientist had been one of the first assignments Tai, Raven and he had been given.
Six months ago though, Summer was found murdered in her home and her youngest child abducted by another underground faction, one his team had been on the tail of for years, and who would have great interest in selling off the genetically enhanced child to foreign traffickers for a high price. The deal was supposed to go down tonight but their reports revealed the faction was being set-up for a double-cross. When it did, the chances of the toddler being caught in the crossfire were extremely high, if not all but guaranteed. Determining the location of the trade-off and securing the life of the girl was his top priority. He was assigned the mission due to him being the only one left in the association still familiar enough with Salem’s crime syndicate to potentially be able to pull it off.
However, even he had questioned his lead director when key details, mainly that of the elder daughter and the husband, were all but missing from the reports. All it said was that they were likely still alive. Oz had brushed it to the wayside, telling him it was inconsequential.
Inconsequential… or distracting?
And even if Tai was working separate from the Secret Intelligence, pulling old strings and connections – hell, Bart probably got him a new identity within hours – to get around the prohibition of an agent working on a personal case, there was no way Ozpin didn’t know. He kept tabs on his former agents like they were vengeful exes.
I’m gonna have a lot to say to you when I get back Oz. Qrow thought crossly.
Tai darted a look across the casino floor, before getting to his feet. “I hate to cut it short gorgeous, but my manager’s making rounds.” He threw him a sultry smile. “I get off at ten. So, if you find yourself swinging back on by this evening, I promise to make it worth your while.”
“I’ll keep it in mind.” He purred in return, watching the other mingle back into the crowd to entertain other guests.
Behind him, the bartender snorted before saying, “Gotta warn ya buddy, he’s throwing a tale. He ain’t got any kids.”
He hoped that merely meant his niece was somewhere in protective custody. Because if she had also been abducted, things would become vastly more complicated. “Never much liked kids anyway.” Once he returned, they would have three hours to reconvene, plan and get ready until negotiations began. It wasn’t as much time as he would have liked, but they had been under stricter time constraints before and had pulled it off.
Qrow drowned his drink in one go, setting it on the bar along with some bills before taking his leave. No one the wiser that he wasn’t just another customer.
He peered across the casino floor one final time, spotting Tai laughing with a patron. No one the wiser he wasn’t just another host.
But come tonight, those facades would be shed and Agent Blackbird and Agent Sun Dragon would team up one more time to save little Ruby Rose’s life.
No one else stood a chance.

can you make a rec where the hales are alive and they're like really bad ass and respected in the supernatural community and what not :D
Hey :)
Sure!
Didn’t See That Coming by  knittersrevolt | 83.8K
Stiles leaves Beacon Hills in the dust after he catches his husband cheating on him.
He finds his way to New York where he starts working for the Hale House Nursery, accidentally adopts a werewolf baby (through no fault of his own thank-you-very-much), and somehow starts training to be an Exorcist Emissary. So, in general, life was going good.
Then he hears that demons have found their way into his hometown. Can he face his inner demons and go back to save the day?
Divided We Stand by  KouriArashi | 156.7K
Derek is being pressured by his family to pick a mate, and somehow stumbles into a choice that they didn’t expect and aren’t sure they approve of….
Summer Contest by  kits_lightning | 18.8K
The moment Derek stepped into the fighting ring and faced Stiles he remembered why he was doing all of this.
The omega gawked at him and barely paid attention to the other competitors Talia was mentioning and Derek smiled at the thought of having all of his attention. Stiles blushed from the tips of his ears to his neck and began to run his fingers through his hair while looking away.
Derek began to wonder how far down that blush traveled when he shook his head and tried to focus on the imminent battle. He caught the last of what his mother was saying. “—have a good fight and good luck.” More clapping and the horn that signaled the beginning of the fight sounded.
So Shed Your Skin and Lets Get Started by  halfhardtorock | 21.8K
He’s sixteen and in the woods on the wrong side of the town-line and he’s so fucking fucked.
He knows he’s not supposed to run, they teach that to you in preschool (don’t run from a Were, back away slowly and walk with care), but they never told you how it would feel, standing alone in the dark with your heart beating in your throat as those glowing eyes tracked you from the shadows.
(I Ain’t Scared of the Fall) I’ve Felt the Ground Before by  planiforidjit | 41K
Derek is sick of being treated like he’s property and he’s sick of his family pressuring him to find a mate. So the obvious solution is to fake a relationship with Stiles Stilinski, the annoying lacrosse player and alpha that Derek may or may not be pining over anyway.
Somewhere to Start by  Lissadiane | 33.5K
Stiles has always known that he isn’t quite human - the plant life that tends to sprout around him whenever he gets upset or excited gives it away. He’s never really fit in among the regular people in Beacon Hills and is determined to wait it out, go to college, and find somewhere to belong. He’s forced to abandon those plans, however, after he desperately agrees to enter into an arranged marriage to save his father’s life.
An arranged marriage with an angry, sometimes furry dude with trust issues. It’s all very Beauty and the Beast, without the singing candlesticks.
Commands and Contrasts by  ravingrevolution | 88.3K
Stiles attended all the home economics classes, like a good omega, and took all his pills, like a good omega, and outwardly submitted to authority, like a good omega, but he didn’t buy into the whole structure dynamic thing. He just didn’t.
Weave Soft Spells Over My Sight by  AgnesBlue | 51.4K
Derek had blossomed steadily over the past year, growing into his ears and turning even more handsome, if that were possible. But instead of going out and melting the panties off the girls, suddenly he was coming to Stiles all bashed in, demanding that he patch him up like Stiles was some freelance nurse. It was a familiar pattern by now.
Little Wild Animal by  DiscontentedWinter | 61K
Derek Hale finds a feral human on his pack’s property.Humans are supposed to be extinct. But then, Stiles is full of surprises.
Now as Ever (All That Is and Has Been) by  venis_envy | 52.2K
Stiles can’t remember what happened to rearrange the time-space continuum, or how he ended up being pulled into the past. All he knows is that he’s there now, in 2003 Beacon Hills, with a teenage werewolf and a possibly-crazy veterinarian as his only allies.
Want is a Dangerous Thing by  grimm | 19.2K
It was bad enough that Derek was so terrible at meeting people that he had to buy himself a mate, but it was even worse that his mother called a pack meeting about it. Laura was never, ever going to let him live this down.

Constellations of freckles and moles
A/N: Thank you @snowbaz-lover for the amazing prompt I hope this is what you had in mind. Also thank you too, everyone, I can’t believe I hit 100 followers I honestly never thought this blog would get any followers so thank you so much it means a lot to me :). Enjoy!
Baz
“You two should go somewhere this weekend” I looked up from the book I was reading, we were currently lounging around the living room Bunce was sitting on her love seat (she had bought it claiming Snow and I always hogged the couch) and I was sitting on the couch with my legs on Snow’s lap who was intently watching something on the television. I nudged him with my foot drawing his attention towards the conversation “I mean you just finished your finals and I’m sure Simon could take a few days off from work so, you two should go somewhere” Bunce insists I quirked an eyebrow “If I didn’t know any better I’d think you’re trying to get rid of us Bunce” I smirked “Actually that’s a great idea, we should go somewhere it’d be fun. We could get the car and drive down to the countryside” Snow agreed, I didn’t see any problems and it would be nice to get a break from all the city noise.
For the next week that is all Snow ever talked about road trip this and road trip that, after the hundredth time of him jumping up yelling “Oh and we could…” I looked at him seriously “Have you ever been on a road trip Snow?” his excited demeanour vanished and he looked somewhat embarrassed making me feel guilty for having asked so rudely. “I mean, besides the long bus rides to Watford not really, I was only ever in the homes for the summer so I didn’t get to do much” he looked down at his lap, I knew he didn’t like talking about Watford or the homes and I smiled seeing how far he’s come “Well, I’m glad I will be the one to take you to your first” and it was true, I was.
I loved being the first to do things with Simon, his first time in the ocean, his first time at an amusement park all those times filled me with joy seeing his face light up and seeing him run around like an excited puppy at the park.
A week later and we’re putting picnic blankets, our cameras and our packed clothes into the trunk of my car. Snow had offered to drive and although I would have usually said no he looked so eager and what the hell, why not?
Simon
I was super excited and not just because Baz let me drive his car but because I was going on a ROAD TRIP! My first ever road trip, I honestly couldn’t be happier and the fact that I was going with Baz just made it all the more perfect. Baz is always showing me new things and taking me to new places I didn’t even know I wanted to go. We were just leaving the city and the radio was softly playing P!TAD, Baz was being incredibly quiet but when I turned to look at him he was leaning against the window peacefully sleeping. He looked so cute his hair was on his face and his lips were slightly parted, slipping my hand into my pocket I snapped a quick photo (I know, I know it’s dangerous) before going back to driving.
Baz’s family had cabin far out in the countryside where there’s a lake and it’s quiet so we’d be staying there, Baz had given me the directions before we left also casting a stay in your lane to keep us from getting lost.
We arrived just as Baz woke up, getting our things out of the car we made our way to the cabin, it wasn’t huge which knowing the Pitch family was a big difference to the usual castles they live in. It was already three in the afternoon “How about we eat something then go swimming?” Baz suggested and seeing as I was starving I agreed. Baz made sandwiches and we went outside to eat, I finished first and decided to cool off in the lake“ I’m going to get in the water, you coming?” Baz still had half of a sandwich left (he eats really slowly because I don’t like him to cover his fangs but he’s still self-conscious) he nodded his head in a sort of ‘you go, I’ll be there in a minute’ sort of way. I took off my shirt and ran in doing a cannibal into the water.
Baz
He took off his shirt and of course me being pathetic and weak (so weak) I stared, he had constellations of freckles and moles littered around his back and chest and I loved each and every single one of them. Quickly finishing my sandwich I ran in after Snow, the second I emerged from the water Simon was splashing me with water I went back under and grabbed his ankle giving it a good yank. I could hear him scream under water and he must have jumped six feet into the air when I come up I’m laughing like a mad man and he’s doing this adorable glare, but then he looks at me and he burst out laughing as well.
We continue to play around in the lake and before we know it the sun is gone and the stars are up. Being exhausted from all the splashing and laughing we lay down on the soft grass beneath the stars, it is beautiful we could see the entire galaxy but all I could think about was Simon, Simon lying down next to me, Simon holding my hand, Simon, Simon, Simon.
It reminds me of the time Simon held my hand and pushed his magik into me, the room had vanished and all there was were stars, stars and Simon, always Simon. “Do you remember when you pushed your magik to me in our dorm room?” I ask and turn my head to look at him, he’s as lost in the constellation of stars as I am in the constellation of his freckles and moles. “Yeah” his answer is barely a whisper and I think he’s just as scared as I am to break this moment “You took me to the stars, and through the whole thing I was with you” I’m also whispering and when I look back up to the stars I feel like I’m back at Watford in our shared room holding Simon Snow’s hand as electricity fills me and I am alive. “I love you Simon Snow” I’m looking at him again, he turns to me and he’s smiling so I smile and god he’s so beautiful “And I love you Tyrannous Basilton Grimm-Pitch” he’s leaning forward and I find myself doing the same, his lips are soft and gentle on mine and there’s no desperation to the kiss just his heart of gold.
