So in different scenes, especially in the endings of every episode of the first season, like during the credits, you probably noticed that the way the art style looks changes. It gets streaky and kind of blurred and textured and it kind of looks like paint.

Well guess what. It IS paint. Actual real paint.

The technique is called paint-on-glass animation, and it’s a really rare kind of animation. Like you NEVER see it it's so rare.

To make paint-on-glass animations, you need to take a slow drying kind of paint, (most people use oil or gouache), apply it to a smooth surface like glass or a whiteboard, and move it around into the different scenes before it dries.

It SOUNDS easy but it absolutely is not. The reason that it’s so rare is that it’s super labor intensive and difficult to do. I've tried to use it maybe twice and it’s genuinely so frustrating and hard. You have to get every try perfect because it’s so hard to reverse the work you’ve already done, and you’re constantly in a race against time. Even though they paint the animators use is slow drying, painting even one slide is so time consuming that it dries anyways.

The paint can’t be too wet or it’ll smear and blend too much, and it can’t be too dry for obvious reasons. Paint-on-glass animation is HARD and I’m so in awe of anyone who can do it well.

Mob Psycho doesn't just have it as a one-off thing, they use it MULTIPLE times, and the ending scenes with it are about 90 minutes. That's HOURS of intensive, detailed work. You can tell exactly how much love and dedication went into this show.

Oh and from what I've read, all of the paint-on-glass animation they used in Mob Psycho was done by a woman named Miyo Sato. ONE PERSON. ONE PERSON DID ALL OF THAT. ARE YOU JOKING? THATS INCREDIBLE.

When I say she was painting each scene on a glass frame by herself and she actively had to physically move everyone and everything in the scenes around I'm not joking. That is serious dedication and love and I love this show and all of the animators so much you don't understand.

OH AND DID I MENTION THAT SHE HAD TO ANIMATE MOB AND REIGEN WALKING MULTIPLE TIMES? BECAUSE SHE DID. Do you know how hard it is to make that look right in NORMAL animation? SO HARD. MIYO SATO I LOVE YOU YOURE SO IMPRESSIVE.

Genuinely, stop with that fucking bullshit about Blue being bad at communication. Like, where the fuck this crowd of people came from on Tubbo’s ALT stream just to tell him that Blue sucks at being friends and talking to each other. THEY DON’T. They are actually really good! So far they did a great job at having all the logging in members in check, sharing tasks, things, even with people who do more solo stuff like Rivers. They have a great chemistry; Tina, Tubbo and Bad are WONDERFUL as an unofficial co-leaders. Tubbo, who is FAMOUSLY BAD AT KEEPING HIS MORAL HIGH AT COMPETITIVE EVENTS, has been SO SUPPORTIVE AND ENCOURAGING, telling his team how he is so proud of them.

They do NOT suck at communication. They have some time management problems, but MOST of those problems are coming from the event structure itself, where it favors PST timezone. Those streamers are not fucking obligated to change their schedules just to have a chance of winning. Especially EU ones.

Honestly, Tubbo spent most of his time on the server trying to make sure to not go hard on Red, stopping Bad from ambushing them, deciding to talk to Phil where he definitely could’ve just leave. Bad LISTENED to Tubbo half of those times and genuinely held himself back so much. Tina NEVER engaged in anything with Red herself. Missa was just minding his own business. AND THAT’S FINE THAT RED KILLED HIM AND THAT CARRE TRIED TO KILL TINA. THAT’S THE GAME. JUST NOT PLAY ALL HIGH AND MIGHTY ABOUT THEIR ACTIONS AND THEN HATE ON BLUE FOR DOING STUFF. Them getting taunted for trying to be nice by saying that they just ‘can’t communicate with each other’ is such a BM.

Tubbo’s chat is AWFUL with Red viewers coming there and parading how they actually route for other team. And telling Blue ‘to just be better at friendship’. It’s so frustrating. When honestly the only reason why red wins them is because they submit tasks at the last minute. Blue has all the same fucking resources. That’s it. It’s a good strategy for winning, but it doesn’t have to do anything with communication in teams.

And also once again: THIS IS A KILLING AND MAIMING EVENT THAT WAS DESIGNED TO PUSH CHARACTERS TO COMMIT ATROCITIES. THATS THE POINT. THEY ARE ALLOWED TO BE TOXIC TO EACH OTHER. THIS IS NOT A QOMMUNICATION ISLAND, THIS IS PURGATORY.

Honestly, I was getting over my annoyance, but then Tubbo’s alt chat happened and it got me spiraling again. I am just so upset. I genuinely feel disdain towards Red just because of the fans, and I hate it, because it’s a good team and I want to enjoy them. But everything I think about them now is just this fandom bullshit.

This is a warning for my red team mutuals: I have nothing against you, I don’t hate the team, you or ccs, genuinely. But I will probably keep being a little hater towards red and pray on their downfall in my posts unless something will turn the tables completely. So I will use #red neg and ‘tw red neg’ in my posts most of the time, you might want to filter it out.

I’ve been thinking about Graves with a s/o who’s taller than him…. (Sfw Phillip Graves x gn!reader headcannons)

just imagine… graves with someone who’s at least 6’2, and the little face that he’ll make when he walks up to you and he remembers that you’re unfairly taller than him 🤭

The soft yelp he lets out and how he tenses when you grab him from behind and pick him off the floor whenever you want his attention. He swears he wasn’t trying to ignore you doll, he was busy doing work and he didn’t hear you :( He pouts and folds his arms and refuses to speak to you until you put him down (unless you force him to talk ;D)

Would rather climb a pile of precariously placed things than to ask you for help reaching a tool or weapon off of the top rack. Despises it when you pick him up to reach it. He doesn’t want your help, dang it, he can do it on his own just fine >:( Refuses to admit he was wrong after falling from aforementioned pile of things and accidentally hurting himself.

Graves who, though he refuses to admit it, loves it when you grab his hips and pick him up when you’re making out. He hates having to stand on his tip toes just to reach you and he likes feeling like you’re both on a more equal level. It also gives him a chance to wrap his legs around your waist so it’s a win-win darlin’ ;)

Graves who thinks he’s the intimidating one during the beginning of an interrogation, but it’s really you who’s looming over them behind him, giving them one of your rarer death stares as you stare them down… Graves can’t help that he’s not scary, his smaller form and the constant fidgeting/shifting just aren’t very intimidating right away. That is until he starts getting frustrated and he starts to get serious. Then thats when the show begins 🥰 Go crazy my lil queen 

Desperately wants to be big spoon, but he’s tired (because he low key works himself into the ground) and so he just allows you to curl around him and pull him close. Will fight you to be big spoon when he’s not tired. (Which isn’t often, and he’s probably only in bed because you’re forcing him to sleep) Most of the time though he’s too tired to fight you and he’ll let you hold him close, and cuddle him. He has this rare, cute little soft open mouthed snore, and denies snoring whenever you bring it up. And when you finally show him a video, he insists that you somehow got a video of his twin, because “there’s no way in barbecue fried chicken that I snore darlin” 😒

Graves absolutely freezing up when you corner him with an arm on each side of him. He’s staring up at you, pinned between the wall and your mass of a body and- Crap, is he drooling??

Vax never really has an issue with the lack of touch in your relationship

Sure, he likes to hold your hand, but it’s not the end of the world if you don’t want to

He’s able to fluster you with just his words anyway

But when you come home one day with tears in your eyes and tension in your back, Vax is unsure of what to do

His first instinct is to reach out to you. It’s what he does for Vex and the others, so why wouldn’t he?

He stops himself when he remembers how much you dislike being touched without express permission

Even when you start crying, Vax doesn’t want to make things worse, so he just stares at you as he tries to ask what’s wrong

You look up at him through tearful eyes and ask ‘Can I hug you?’

Vax is immediately scooping you into his arms, letting his warmth invade your senses and comfort you

He tentatively begins to rub a hand up and down your back, continuing when you don’t tell him to stop

He’s relieved, in all honesty. He’s relieved he can help you and he’s honored that you let him hug you in such a moment of need

When you finally calm down enough to talk, he draws away to give you some space

His fingers stay connected with yours though, as you won’t let him go

He smiles at this, before pressing a kiss to your head

‘I’m sorry you had such a hard day, sweetheart. I’ll be here as long as you need me to be’

Grog

It took Grog a while to understand your reluctance in touch

It wasn’t that he thought it was weird, he just couldn’t read the signals as to how uncomfortable you were with his physical affection and you didn’t want to say anything

Finally, though, you told him about how you weren’t the biggest fan of touching

He nods, but it doesn’t fully register

Still he tries his best to remember, but he forget sometimes

He apologizes when he forgets and you can’t really get mad at him when he’s so genuine

When you come back home from a really rough day, Grog can instantly tell that something is up

He’s not the smartest, but when it comes to your happiness, he’s learned to become more attentive

He also knows that you don’t always want to be touched when you’re like this

(Pike had reminded him enough that it stuck with him)

So he watches you until he really can’t stand the sight of it anymore

‘Can I hug you?’

You look up at him with tears ready to fall and nod

Grog gives the best comforting hugs. He’s gentle but firm and he won’t let go until you ask him to

He’s not perfect, but he’s trying

Percy

Percival Fredrickstein von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III was never a man who thrived in touch

He rarely initiated physical contact with you and whenever he did, he asked for your permission first

It was like he already knew about your dislike for touch without you even telling him

(He definitely did. He’s observant enough to see your subtle emotions and tells)

You were perfectly content with a dynamic mostly built on quality time and acts of service, rather than physical affection

This wasn’t always the case though

You had had a particularly hard day at work. There was so much to do and you felt like not enough time to do it all

So, when you walked into Percy’s Tinker Room, he instantly noticed your tense demeanor

He is the king of stress himself, he knows the signs

However he doesn’t know what to do. He knows that he likes to be alone when stressed, but by seeking him out you seem to want to be around him

He contemplates in his head for a moment as you tell him about your day, waiting for you to finish before he stands up and comes over to you

It took Scanlan awhile to adapt to your feelings on touch

He’s a naturally extroverted person and he’s usually the first to initiate physical contact with anyone, so it’s an adjustment for him

However, once he finds out that it’s even more fun to fluster you with his shitty pick-up lines and love songs, the physical touch thing becomes easier

He slips up every once in a while, but he tries to make it up to you (he is a secret romantic underneath that… sexual persona)

You go find him, sitting with his lute, after an awful day

You were tired, and stressed, and part of you just wanted to go to sleep and wake up when this project you were working on was over

Scanlan knew the minute you walked over to him that something was up

Not wanting to be obvious in his effort to comfort you, and not wanting to touch you when you were clearly already tense, he decided to do what he does best: talk

He began to make small talk, talking about his songs and his day and whatever was going on with his friends

He thought it was working, until you said his name and looked up at him with tired eyes

‘Can I have a hug?’

He was stunned for a moment, obviously not expecting it, but he got over it quickly

He lightly wrapped himself around you, holding you close and just letting it be

It was rare that Scanlan was so silent but, for once, the only sound was breathing

It was a small moment, but it was more than enough for you

Keyleth

Keyleth was awkward at first

Not because she had a hard time without physical affection, but more because she didn’t know what to do in general

Romance was still foreign to her

Still, she read your body language with perfection

You didn’t even need to tell her that you didn’t like physical touch… she just knew

You were thankful for that

It had been a stressful day and you were really just looking forward to hanging out with Keyleth

Sitting in the forest and listening to her talk to the plants always calmed you down

She’s not great at words but she is more than adept at movement

She freezes for a moment, before embracing you

It’s warm and comforting and Keyleth suddenly understands why people like doing this so much

She’ll hold you as long as you need. After all, she’s enjoying herself just as much as you are

Vex

Vex’ahlia is the queen of subtle touches

She loved resting a hand on the shoulders of her friends, or bumping into them playfully as they walked

It took a bit of self-control to not do those things with you

It wasn’t hard, per say. It just required a bit more focus and awareness of her movements

But, Vex would do anything for you, so she learned (quickly, as expected)

It was after a fight, while everyone was setting up camp, that Vex noticed the look on your face

It was the same look she saw when you were stuck on a particular puzzle, or when everything seemed to be piling on your shoulders

‘My dear, are you alright?’

You shrug half heartedly

‘Would you like to accompany Trinket and I on a walk? I think it will be quite relaxing and the moon is especially gorgeous tonight.’

Vex waits for your reply when finally you look up

‘Vex, will you hold me?’

Vex doesn’t even falter

Sure, she’s surprised, but the urge to comfort you overrides everything else

She hold you as close as she can without it being uncomfortable, rubbing circles on your back and whispering sweet encouragements into your ear

When you part, she tells you to take your time joining the rest of the party, before turning around and giving hushed threats to anyone who dares make a comment

You hear them, but it’s endearing. It shows that she care.

Pike

Pike is a very affectionate person

Not in the same flirty way as Vax or Scanlan, nor in the subtle way as Vex

Pike was just a very loving woman. Physical affection (including hugs) were just commonplace to her

Which is why she was a little stunned when you told her that you weren’t too fond of physical touch

It was hard for her, at first, because she had to find new ways to express all the love that she had for you, but your comfort came before everything

She always asked before initiating anything and you were always so thankful for that

One day, you came back to find Pike kneeling in the garden, mumbling under her breath

You assumed she was praying (for what, you weren’t sure) but you really needed her

Today had been hell and Pike had always known how to make you feel better

Sitting behind her, you gently rested your head on her shoulder

She tensed, knowing it was you, but confused by the display of touch

Still, she didn’t saying anything

She knew with that one call of her name what you needed

Omg yes now I have to write this. I’ll just do like a bullet list bc it’ll be easier to read but I’m so glad there’s someone else like me anyway:

141 with a reader who has a slight country accent

Even if it’s slight, the boys can tell that you have a country accent

Sometimes you just say certain words that have a certain drawl or you pronounce them with the accent

All of them have different accents from each other even if they’re from around the same place but sometimes they’re not used to the way you say some things

“What?” Ghost would narrow his eyes and loom over you in frustrated confusion. “What the hell did you just say?”

You’d just roll your eyes and repeat it. If there was still further confusion you would explain what you were talking about and would most likely start some sort of argument about how’s it’s actually pronounced

You actually get into a lot of spats about stuff like that

They probably make fun of the way you speak sometimes. Not out of malice but just to joke around because you’re American and they’re not.

Price would jokingly say southern sayings in a really bad imitation of your accent when he’s teasing you

Don’t even ask Soap to try to do your accent it won’t end well

But they’re not the only ones who get to poke fun. You make it your duty to make fun of them and imitate their accents more than they do for you

It annoys the hell out of them sometimes but they just retaliate by making fun of yours. It’s a vicious cycle

Depending on your temperament, they’ve heard your accent get thicker when you’re angry.

The more angry you get, the thicker it is and while they might think it’s funny they know better than to laugh. They don’t want to be on the receiving end of southern rage

First time it happened though they were surprised and scared

“Steaming Jesus.” Soap muttered as he listened to you yell quick insults in a thick accent as you let out your anger. “And I thought I was the only one who could talk quick.”

Southern phrases (if you use them ironically or not) make them chuckle or confuse them

You’ll probably have to explain a lot of them

Don’t even get me started on the culture from where you’re from. Explaining to them what certain things are is difficult.

“What’s a Pawpaw?” Gaz asked one day which nearly made you joke on your drink.

They’d all be willing to listen if you told them but be prepared for a lot of questions.

Truthfully, they like your accent. It’s nice to listen to especially when you’re telling stories or just talking to them. You’re their southern operative and even if you’re not from over the pond you’re their teammate, their family.

They love you

Love for the southern readers! There probably a lot more about it I could talk about but I can’t think of any right now. I’ve heard from friends over seas that they like country accents so I incorporated that just because. Anyway hope you liked!

as a black writer i want to say some things…

one, inclusivity is absolutely needed. not only in this community but nearly all communities. oftentimes we are seen as a non-factor or have our experiences just be disregarded. i made a post on this a while ago and got a weird amount of hate for it.

two, i really dislike the way in which this conversation was brought up. because while a lot of it is true, (we need more inclusivity in works and more black writers) people ended up bringing up specific writers and sort of blaming them for the lack of inclusivity? or saying that they writer their readers white? this is so frustrating because one it’s not true, as someone who has read a lot of their work, it has been raceless except for the fact that their readers are hyperfeminine. again being hyperfem is also a lesbian experience so please remember that, and thats how they are! that’s who they are in their daily life and thats how they write. some of you dont realize how incredibly difficult it is to write outside of who you are. but overall i havent seen them say anything that would make their readers explicitly white. on top of that it’s just so counterintuitive to the point to bring up white writers when discussing the lack of inclusivity. there are a lot of black writers!!! how about instead of bringing others down, we work to bring others up. it takes away from what we are saying and is not only unfair to those writers who had nothing to do with it, but also black writers.

third, if you are making an entire account to spread hate, you don’t have the moral highground you think you do. i know this may sound shocking but how about you block the things you don’t like, and dont talk about it anymore. there are things ive seen on here that i haven’t liked but i keep my mouth shut, don’t follow or interact, and keep it moving. that existing will not cause me to spend my time writing hate to that person or even focusing on it. i’ll focus on my work and what i like to write/read. you are obsessed at the end of the day. it’s not a good look and it’s mass bullying.

fourth, i saw a lot of discourse about minors. again, a lot of the minors who read my work don’t realize it’s mostly for your sake. unrealistic expectations of sex and relationships are so detrimental when you are so young. but at the end of the day i can’t control what minors read/don’t read. my work is public and i understand that. once again, however, i ask that you don’t interact with me. as someome who is 22 and already in a position of power it would be not only weird but wrong for us to have interactions. please remember that.

all in all, i do love this community and the people who are just here to read and mind their own. stop ruining the collective experience for everyone please.

hi i need to say this to SOMEONE 😭 but the general fandom is soo weird about jikook. whenever i see tiktoks the vibes of the comments are so different when its jikook. its so normal to see stuff like "thats his baby" "soulmates" "they love each other so much" "i love them together" when its abt any other pairing but for jikook tiktoks its just comment after comment of people emphasizing the word friendship. like fandom cannot interact w jikook content unless they make sure EVERYONE KNOWS that theyre JUST FRIENDS and i do not see this with other pairings and i do not understand why

It’s crazy because I was just talking to a friend today about something similar!!

I was saying to her that I don’t even want the general public or all of the fandom to ship Jikook. I just want them to acknowledge them as close.

To be honest there are unhinged shippers in everytime subsection, Jikookers included. It’s understandable people that want no parts in shipping because it can go really left of the field, from the hyper feminisation of Jimin, the hyper masculinisation of Jungkook, the a/b/o tropes that people want to fit into everything they do, the hyper sexualisation of them, trying to make their every breath about the ship etc.

It’s understandable that lots of people want to just enjoy the members without all that extra.

What’s not understandable is the total erasure of Jikook even being BFFs, the super focus on certain duos that are not as volatile territory like ‘woah, thighs’, and how it’s fun to trend ‘rapper’s girlfriend’ but crickets from the fandom as a whole and only real noise from jikookers when ‘Jimin Hyung can handle it’ ‘I’m not that easy’ happed in front of our salad?!

That’s not US taking it there, that’s THEM 😩

My friend and I were saying that there are people that do see more when it comes to Jikook but because there aren’t enough big spaces that embrace the unique aspects of Jikook they try shipping spaces, but it’s not for the weak hearted. Some just see Jikook as interesting but not down to the #jikookisreal level and so when they dip their toes in they dip right back out.

Becca aka @wingzie did a post on how there are more jikookers than we may have thought:

I do get you anon, but I’m not so bothered if Jikook were to be acknowledged as ‘just friends’, heck I rarely see Jimin and Jungkook’s names in the same sentence unless it’s with the inclusion of other members or their musical records.

To be real, I care more that they’re not acknowledged as BEST FRIENDS, as closer than close. I see a lot of ‘that’s his baby brother’ ‘that’s just Jimin, he’s like that with all of them’, don’t even get me started on the pass around Jimin narrative that some use 😑.

I too see on a whole some actions that Jimin & Jungkook do that jikookers think is just for Jikook that truthfully isn’t, that can be seen with all seven. More jikookers do need to start dispelling those misguided Jikook lores in addition to dispelling anti Jikook narratives.

BUT I also see when there are things just Jikook that get skilfully ignored.

It’s super frustrating but at the same time it’s not. Because, really, do we want millions upon millions trending every little thing about Jikook if they are real and not explicitly out? I’d rather have the ones that can’t see anything because they have underlying prejudices to stay not seeing anything, because do Jikook need those kind of eyes on them?

Maybe a smaller bubble of jikookers being convinced and spotting their moments, in comparison to the fandom as a whole acknowledging something different with Jikook vs other ships, allows for jikookers to to keep jikooking ‘safely’.

The majority of people that DO see Jikook, see them for the unique softness, fondness, adoration, sweet words and actions, fun and spicy bond they have and want to celebrate it and protect it.

Appreciating Jikook doesn’t need to have millions of people. To be honest with or without us watching, Jikook will keep Jikooking. So let those that see them, enjoy and let those that don’t see them, miss out on a beautiful thing.

Hello! Can i request a peaky blinders x terminally ill reader. Like, they don’t want to fall in love with her because it’s like falling in love with a ticking time bomb that’s gonna leave them devastated, but she’s just so lovely they can’t help them self

So cause I'm not terminally ill and therefore can't write a totally honest view of what this would be like, im going to try. Some of them might not be 100% how u asked so sorry in advance.

Tommy

🌿 He can tell you're hiding something from him and the rest of the world from the moment he meets you, he can tell its something dark and sad, but he thinks that makes you just like him and so, if anything, it only draws him in closer to you.

🌿 He thinks you're beautiful, he likes to listen to you singing while you work down the market. He can sense that whatever your secrets are, they mean he should stay away, but even before he really falls for you he can't. You just drew him in.

🌿 I think in the case of tommy it would be you trying to keep your distance from him, putting up walls and trying not to let him too close. You don't want to hurt him, and you don't want to hurt yourself by dangling a future you know you can't have in front of yourself.

🌿 But one day Tommy gets fed up with all your defenses and kind of snaps, calmly, but still, he lets his frustration get to him all "Whyre you doing this eh darlin, its like I'm trying really, really bloody hard to get to know you but theres all these doors you keep lockin right in front of me fuckin face, every time i try to talk to you, another wall going up and up and up... Whyre you doin that? Puttin up walls eh?" he'd say it all so intensely, and so calm and soft by the end of it, so that you can see the affection and need in his eyes abd it breaks your heart...

🌿 And when you tell him whats really going on you expect him to leave but he doesn't

🌿 Because this is Tommy isn't it. So narcissistically obsessed with his own doom that if he'd really thought about it for a second he could have guessed that he was going to lose him. That any chance of happiness he had with you would be the temporary, doomed kind.

🌿 He kind of embraces the pain and punishes himself with it every day, but is also determined that you don't deserve this. Maybe he thinks he deserves to lose the love of his life as penance for his sins but you do not deserve to lose your life because some ugly man from Birmingham did some terrible things. So he'd be defiant about it, he'd love you anyway despite knowing he perhaps should try not to. He'd love you like pressing on a bruise, embracing the pain he's in whilst doing everything in his power to give youba good and happy life.

🌿 He won't leave you. He'll tell you he's not going to leave you, he'll make sure you're completely certain of that. "Its important to me darlin, that you know that right, I'm not gonna leave you, I love you and I won't stop just because of some fuckin illness yeah, i won't..."

🌿 Actually he'll straight up marry you. Even if you think thats pointless because you won't be around for very long, he'll insist that it happens. He loves you, he wants to marry you whilst youve the chance.

🌿 Blames himself for the illness, even though you were ill before you met him. In his head its like this... If you were fated to be the love of his life, then that is what doomed you to a premature death, because he needs to be punished for his sins. He thinks you were sent to punish him for his sins.

🌿 He won't tell you what he's doing but he'll keep searching for ways to heal you, things that could save your life. Even if he doesn't find any, he won't give up. He'll start fuckin praying again. He'll go sit in a church and break down, beg for your life to be spared and his taken instead.

🌿 But he won't let anyone see or know his desperation. On the outside he will mostly remain stoic.

🌿 And he'll want to take care of you every step of the way, when you're in your last days he probably won't want anyone else around, just you and him, him doting on your every need, holding you when you sleep. Always scared you won't wake up. Telling you he loves you, but more importantly showing you he loves you with every little thing he does for you.

🌿 You might try to make him promise you he'll find someone else and fall in love and have a family and all that without you and he won't mean it when he promises you that he will. But he'll promise you anything, say anything to keep you calm and content in your last days.

🌿 He won't let you see him crying, he won't be "weak" in front of you. He'll be so brave and determined even though his heart is breaking because he won't want to upset you. He'd want to preserve your happiness and comfort for as long as possible.

🌿 Rather than getting teary upset i feel like he'd express his emotions through frustration and take them out on other people. He'd probably be a lot less patient with other people, snapping at them and making rash careless decisions. His brothers would have to work extra hard to keep him "sane" and make sure he doesn't do too much damage.

Alfie

🐻 Is an "old man" well aware of his own mortality and of life, suffering and death. You're not the first terminally ill person he's met and he knows exactly what he's getting himself into by getting close to you

🐻 His friends warn him maybe once, maybe they ask him if he really thinks its a good idea, getting so close to someone who won't be around forever... But one look from alfie, one quick and cutting sentence is enough to warn them off ever asking again.

🐻 "Oh an i suppose you think you will be around forever do you Ollie?"

🐻 He's not naive, he knows its going to hurt but he's also not naive enough to believe then that it won't be worth it.

🐻 Because he adores you, your gentle ways, your soft beauty, your kindness, how sweet you are, all he ever wants to do when he sees you is hold your waist in his hands and draw you in close to him. Hold onto you and have you all to himself.

🐻 He loves you, to put it simply, and you, to put it even more simply, deserve love. Being ill, dying doesnt make you any less deserving of that love. And he has so much love for you.

🐻 "If I can't have you for as long as I live right darlin, gonna make sure you have me for as long as you live yeah, reckon that makes sense doesn't it, makes perfect sense to me poppet, yeah makes perfect sense to me..."

🐻 He'd be completely devoted to you. He'd spoil you rotten, he'd want to make sure you got to do everything you wanted to, see everything you wanted to whilst you were still able to. He'd piss everyone at the bakery off by taking all this time away, practically throwing his business away so that he could spend time with you.

🐻 Basically puts Tommy in this frustrating and stupid position where tommys no choice but to mind the bakery whilst Alfie is off with you

🐻 And then when you're really sick and getting weaker every day Alfie is by your bedside doing as much for you as he can. He doesnt want some nurse you dont know attending to you, he doesnt want you to feel alone... He only trusts himself to be able to take care of you and he probably does everyone else's head in telling them exactly how you like to be washed/dressed, exactly how to cook your food.

🐻 Much like Tommy he'd be desperately sad about whats happening to you, he'd feel his heart break a little more each day but he probably won't cry in front of you, he'll probably try to be brave for you.

🐻 Very short tempered with everyone else. He will cry but only when he's alone, honestly maybe in front of Tommy and only for a second before he composes himself again.

🐻 Writes a whole fucking opera about you as a coping mechanism.

🐻 Always wants to be holding you or touching you somehow, like hes scared to forget how it feels. Always holding your hand in his.

🐻 Likes reading you to sleep, putting records on for you. Writing music for you.

Arthur

🍂 Is devestated, can't put his feelings into words at all, can't cope with the idea of losing you.

🍂 Everyone warns him about falling for you but their warnings come too late because he already has and he adores you. He wants to spend his whole life with you and when it becomes apparent that thats never going to happen he is distraught.

🍂 He doesn't want you to live he NEEDS you to live, he can't accept things the way they are, has to believe you can survive even though deep down he knows you can't.

🍂 He gets so angry and bitter, not with you or at you but at the world and with everything else. He's angry at the illness for taking you from him, he's angry at the world for being such a cruel and unfair place.

🍂 Tries to turn to god, tries to pray, thinks that perhaps if he repents for all the bad things hes done or, if he begs god enough, he can trade with you, he can die so that you don't have to. Because "its fucked up isnt it darlin, that someone so fucking kind and good and pure can have to deal with this, whilst the rotten likes of me just go on living an fillin the world up with bad things"

🍂 Arthur doesn't have the self control his brother has, he won't hold back in front of you even if sometimes it would be kinder for him to do so. There are probably things you don't really need to hear about how cruel the world is, how unfair everything is, but he doesn't have a filter and sometimes when his emotions get the better of him he just spills it all.

🍂 He will cry in front of you, you'll hold him whilst he sobs into your chest and breaks down. Then apologises because "you shouldn't have to be dealin with this, I should be being the fuckin strong one.."

🍂 Takes a lot of his emotions out in the ring and they probably have to try and stop him from going there because the damage he will do with all these enotions coursing through him could be deadly.

🍂 He would get more and more unstable the more ill you got, unable to cope with whats happening. But he'd so desperately want to be a good husband to you. He'd beg Polly and his sister for help, asking them for advice. Polly would probably be his rock here, giving him advice, giving him a hug when he needs one, a slap and a shake when he needs to snap out of it and be there for you.

🍂 She'd help him take care of you, teach him how to look after you, how to be gentle when he's taking care of you.

🍂 At the point that you're too weak to get out of bed he'd lie with you or sit with you whenever he could, he wont give you peace talking to you about everything thats been happening, nervous talking too because he doesnt like the silence. But you like listening to him ramble about everything.

🍂 You also like the fact that no ones worried about talking of peaky business in front of you so you get all of the gossip.

🍂 He won't be particularly articulate but he'll tell you he loves you constantly.

🍂 Brings you little gifts of food and sweet treats all the time. Makes you food his mam woulda made him when he was sick as a child.

John

🌼 John seems so happy go lucky, laidback, still such a child at heart and you're drawn to him because of that. Admiring him from afar, falling in love with his laughter and that cheeky grin. Torturing yourself because hes something you just cant have.

🌼 You don't want to let yourself near him because you don't want to take that carefree nature away from him or taint him with the side effects of your illness, the stress anxiety and torment which seems to taint everyone you get close to these days.

🌼 But John has been in love with you since the second he laid eyes on you and he's determined to ignore your warnings about staying away from him.

🌼 As far as he's concerned you deserve to be loved, whether or not you have the potential to break his heart or not. Technically - and this is an argument he comes up with all the time - technically, everyone has the potential to break everyones heart, he could get shot and killed tomorrow before anythings even really happened to you. He could fall in love with some other lass and she could get hit by a car or die in some sudden accident. "Just because you're really ill flower, doesn't mean I shouldn't love you. Doesn't make you not worth loving... If anything it means you should be loved twice as hard now... I've got a whole lifetimes worth of love to give you so better not to keep stalling... "

🌼 His family think hes impulsive but he marries you almost imediately. Youre the love of his life and he wants to spend as much time as he possibly can being your husband.

🌼 He would want you to have the best possible life you could, even if it was only short so he'd take you travelling to see all the places you wanted to see. He'd help you do all the things you wanted to do before you died.

🌼 He'd do his best to keep up his usual ray of sunshine persona, still being boyish and charming, always teasing you, always trying to make you smile. Out of all the peaky men John is the one who treats you least like you're terminally ill. He isn't quite so obsessed with being careful with you or treating you like you're delicate. He lets you make the "I'm going to die anyway" joke sometimes when it comes to you doing unwise things like drinking/smoking or going for a ride.

🌼 He wants to keep you laughing and smiling for as long as he possibly can

🌼 When you get more sick and you begin to grow weaker he does struggle more, he doesnt like seeing you look so unwell, so in pain. He wants to be with you all the time but he doesn't want you to see him get upset.

🌼 He goes to Ada for support and she lets him hug it out or cry to her. She'd give him the love actually advice of "cheer up, no ones gonna shag you if you cry all the time" type of joking advice which is exactly what he needs to keep his head up and stay strong for you.

🌼 He too would want to be there for you and help care for you everyday even if he doesn't really know what hes doing. If he couldn't help he'd hold your hand and reassure you.

Bonnie

🍀 He's heartbroken when he finds out, naturally, no one wants the person they love to suffer, however

🍀 Rather than get too caught up in how long you have left together, Bonnie feels blessed just to have you at all and he's determined to love you for as long as he can.

🍀When he tells you this, "I love you little dove, all this love aint goin anywhere just cause you are, I'll love you my whole life I know I will..." "But you shouldn't Bon its going to hurt you so much, I'm gonna cause you so much sufferin an you don't deserve that..." "You don't deserve to be alone though do ye? And I'm tough dove, I can survive," he'd make a show of flexing his biceps to prove how strong he is and try to make you laugh.

🍀 Like John he's determined to keep you happy and smiling for as long as he can. He'll make jokes, he'll tell you how beautiful you are, how loved you are. He'll keep telling you all these things even when your light does begin to fade.

🍀 He spends as much time with you as he possibly can. Being a hopeless romantic he'll definitely want to marry you.

🍀His own mother died when he was young and his father's already been through this, Aberama would be a little torn, he'd want his son to be happy and so he wouldn't want him devoting his life to a woman who's going to leave him so soon, but he'd also want his son to be happy which means letting him devote his life to you.

🍀 Bonnie would try to be brave, he would try not to cry in front of you, and though he might not shed any actual tears, you can tell when he does want to cry, when he's upset his jaw tenses and he gets this far away misty look in his eyes.

🍀He wants to give you everything in the whole wide world but he doesn't have the time, he wants to make you proud of him so he's extra determined to win all his fights and train hard... But sometimes he also just, can't see the point? What does fighting matter, what does being the champion of the world matter when the love of his life is going to have to leave him so soon.

🍀When you get restless he wraps you up warm and takes you off on horseback to the middle of nowhere where the two of you can get some peace. He helps you bathe in the creeks and rivers, lies with you wrapped in blankets under the redwood trees.

🍀When you're ill he wants to be the one to take care of you, to nurse you, to help feed and bathe you. He won't leave your side for a second and he'll really piss Tommy Shelby off by refusing fights and refusing to work. He doesnt care if his life or future is threatened. Nothings getting between him and you now.

🍀 Sings for you whenever you ask, tries to make up little stories for you. Is still determined to make you laugh/smile whenever he can, even when you're very weak.

🍀 Always bringing you flowers and pretty things he finds for you outside when you're too weak to go exploring with him.

🍀 Holds you every night when you're going to sleep, lies awake listening to you breathing determined that you'll wake up again in the morning. Kisses your hair/forehead/temple and hands all the time.

Isaiah

🐀He loves you before he knows youre terminally ill and you're affraid to tell him because you don't want him to leave.

🐀Everyone can see him falling for you, he's not exactly subtle about it - and that fact alone means he must be falling really hard for you. He asks after you all the time, he's always abandoning his friends when he's out if he sees you, choosing to waste his time talking to you instead.

🐀And regretfully it's Michael who ends up telling him about your condition. When he finds out he does get scared. He panics and doesn't know what to do.

🐀He doesn't want to lose you, but he doesn't want to get too close... The problem is he already has feelings for you and he can't just turn them off. In fact he knows full well that even if he'd known from the second he saw you at the Garrison he wouldn't have been able to stop himself falling in love with you because you're perfect. You're his perfect girl and he would never have been able to ignore you.

🐀So he backs away a little, he tries to fall out of love but he struggles and, just as he was expecting he fails. If anything trying to pull away from you only makes him more certain of his adoration for you. He loves you. He's so sure of that now.

🐀You aren't stupid, you notice him pulling away and trying to seperate from you and though it makes you sad you're not surprised and you can't say you dont completely understand.

🐀 So you try to tell him that, you try to speak to him gently, try to tell him exactly whats wrong with you, roughly how long you have left. And he listens and tries not to get upset and does quite a good job, then when you say "it's alright Isaiah i understand... If you dont want to stay I understand..." thats when he gets upset

🐀 He gets angry, upset with you for not valuing yourself more, for accepting that someone might not want to love you. But mostly he's angry at himself because even this little argument is wasted time he could have spent holding you, kissing you, telling you how much he adores you.

🐀"No don't you dare say that, don't you dare pretend that this is fuckin fine or that you understand, I've been so fucking selfish love, you deserve to be loved and I don't fuckin deserve you because for a second I was too busy thinkin bout me fuckin self to think about you and what you need!"

🐀And from there on out hes unshakable and so stubborn about loving you, he spends as much time with you as he possibly can. He tells you he loves you like a hundred times a day.

🐀Michael and his friends can't understand whats gotten into him, he asks him one day if he doesn't think he's "wasting" his time and Isaiah has to try not to get angry. Because thats a cruel way of putting it even if thats not how it was intended to be.

🐀"Course I'm not wasting my time, she's the only good use of my time... This is the only important thing i think I've ever done with me life, you know... Loving her like... If it were you in my position you'd understand, it'd be the same for you..." "but you coulda... You know chose not to be in your position..." "nah" says Isaiah, "i couldnt have chosen anything, s'not a choice mate, i just love her and always have..."

Michael

☘️ He definitely experiences "love at first sight" which is something he didn't really believe in before. But when he sees you he's swept away by your beauty and he knows, just knows, youre the girl hes supposed to fall in love with.

☘️ He tries to pursue you and you don't really take him very seriously because he's michael gray and hes got a reputation about him when it comes to the ladies. You think he just wants a one night stand and so you flirt back and laugh him off and tease him until he ends up confessing everything to you in a desperate attempt at getting you to take him seriously.

☘️ But then he's confessed everything to you, so now you have to tell him something too, thats you've an incurable illness. At first he doesn't understand and you have to spell it out to him. "It means I'm going to die Michael... And much sooner than you will..."

☘️ His first instinct is anger, he feels upset and betrayed that you didn't tell him straight away but this quickly subsides because he isn't really angry, hes heartbroken.

☘️ "If you were to ask my advice I'd say you should go off and find yourself a different girl," you smirk, youre only joking and actually if he were to follow that advice you'd be heartbroken, and pissed off too.

☘️ But Michael is two things : a gentleman and desperately in love with you.

☘️ So he just smirks and shakes his head, "forgive me love but i dont think you give very good advice..."

☘️ He knows how much its going to hurt but he keeps telling himself he's been through worse. He hasnt but he deludes himself with this notion so that he can stay strong for you.

☘️ He won't show you how upset he is about it unless really pushed to, perhaps nearer the end he'll break down, unable to hold it in and stay strong... But for the most part he is determined not to show weakness or to let you feel sad or despairing. He wants to reassure you all the time that everything will be alright and you don't need to be scared.

☘️Cries a lot in secret. Cries to his mother about it. Pol tries her best to support the both of you but its difficult watching her son have his heart ripped out. Difficult too watching you have yours ripped out.

☘️ Sometimes you wish you hadn't fallen in love because knowing what you're going to leave behind now makes the thought so much more painful. When you talk to Michael about it though he puts on his brave face and offers you all the reassurance in the world. Tells you you'll meet eachother again one day. Jokes he might not even be that far behind you. You hate it when he jokes like that though and he often does it just to wind you up, just to get you to play hit him and lighten your mood.

☘️ He'd organise the best private care for you, go with you to all your doctors appointments and try to keep as much of it under control as possible. He'd want you to try any cure they threw at you and there probably would be arguments about it if you didn't want to try something. In the end though he'd always put your wants above his own and listen to you.

☘️ Michaels quite a serious and sullen lad but he doesn't want you to feel serious or sullen so he often has to force himself out of his over thinking moods and into a more lighthearted one. All he wants to do is keep you smiling and hopeful.

eddie munson absolutely has an ass. it’s small, but it’s there. robin owes him 5 bucks.

steve knows it exists because he’s staring at it. right now. has been for the past five minutes. from his slouched position on eddies bed. 

eddie seems resolute in staying as far away from steve as possible, like that raccoon he saw by the dumpster last week, all on edge, with little hands.

he's talking though, one of those rambling eddie speeches. he used to half listen to them in high school. half listen to the cute angry dork across the lunch room. look how far they’ve come hey? who woulda thought? 

‘you’ve been quiet for too long, i’m getting worried’ eddie says going for light but he sounds really nervous. steve is in half a mind to look behind him, see if theres some entity in the room thats causing it. surely it can’t be steve?  

‘oh? don’t mind me just enjoying the view, carry on with your tinkering’ 

eddie rolls his eyes but stops messing with the buttons on his tape player. finally letting the judas priest album play at low volume. ‘ugh, i’m not tinkering’ he crosses his arms. stubborn sassy fucker. 

‘what are you doing then? come over here.’ steve holds a hand out, wants eddie to sit near him again, close, like they are in his car. 

‘no, ah, nah. um, i’m good. i’m ye i’m, good over here.’ eddie leans an elbow on the dresser and leans into one hip. the epitome of uncomfortable 

steve snorts, flaps his hand to gesture eddie forward. ‘come ooooon man. what are you so afraid of?’ 

that snaps eddie out of it. 

he huffs and throws his arms up, all lanky limbs and pointy elbows. ‘because i’ve never fucking done anything like this before man!’

steve is a little spooked honestly, thought they were nearing the same page since eddie invited him inside and all. ‘anything like what?’ he just wants them to sit next to each other…

maybe hold hands. 

‘you know steve. come on! we’ve been, like, flirting or whatever and that leads to.. stuff!’

oh sweet relief. verbal confirmation of eddie knowingly sending steve insane. ‘thank god! i knew you were flirting back! but you kept running away!’ now steve has his hands up too. but also silently sending out a quick one the the big guy upstairs, nothin better then the people he likes liking him back. 

‘yeah because you’re you! and i’ve never done it before! never done anything!’ hands akimbo once again. like a little flappy bat. the cute kind, not demo. obviously, yeesh. 

steve can’t help but shrug. relaxing back onto the bed. that’s all? they could’ve been holding hand for weeks! ‘that’s okay, i don’t care’

‘well i do!’ eddies cheeks are a little blotchy and his eyebrows are scrunched. he’s so frustrated. it’s cute but voicing that thought probably isn’t going to help the situation right now. we’ll pin it “tell eddie he’s cute after freak out.” yeah, good. 

‘ok. i mean all you need to do is say if you don’t like something, then we do some thing else.’ it’s simple, always is. yet everyone seems to get so weird about it. 

‘but, ugh. but, what if you touch me and realise you don’t actually like me.’ eddie says and looks a lot less frustrated now and a lot more just pouty. steve can work with that. 

‘i doubt that so much. you’re hot eddie.’

eddie gapes at him, but again he’s a stubborn fucker. ‘what if i’m really bad at kissing, get spit all over your face.’

‘hot.’ steve shrugs again. and he’ll keep shrugging. shrug eddie into getting how utterly chill them making out could be. 

‘what if i sit in your stupid lap and bust in like 5 second huh? that really the kind of guy you want?’

‘sure, sounds hot.’

‘jesus you’re so annoying.’

but he’s smiling. 

steve smiles back. ‘will you come here now? i wanna hold your fucking hand.’ 

eddie pulls a strand of hair over his mouth. so shy! about holding hands! steve’s going to eat him whole! 

‘careful stevie or i might start thinking you’re desperate.’ eddies grinning, in that sharp jaw all teeth way. brat.

‘and what if i was huh? hm? what you gonna do about it mun-son?’

steve stretches out on the bed, settling his hands behind his head. feels his shirt ruck up and he shifts so his jeans slip down and little. waistband of his boxers absolutely on display, along with a little peek of hipbone and happy trail. 

eddie goes bright pink and cherry sweet again. 

‘come hold my hand ed’s. pretty please?’

So I say the Hercules au and I gotta ask, How does Hades change having her around? Is he completely different or mostly the same? Like does she ground his more megalomaniac tendencies? Were the events of the movie because she had to go on a family vacation with her mother and wasn't around to go 'no, babe, you don't hate your brother. Thats the stress and envy talking. You're better than that, and Zeus and Hera don't deserve that.'

I’m so excited to answer this one I can’t even tell you, SO! ( Also I love the dialogue I gotta try and work that into a drawing one of these days)

First! I wanna preface my ramblings with my headcanon that Hades is actually a giant softie when it comes to women! Partly because of the way he treats Meg in a generally non-threatening manner in the movie. Meg’s not frightened or intimidated by him in the least and with the exception of a few minor blow-ups when he’s frustrated about his plans being thwarted, he really never does anything to put her in harm’s way. Sure, he’s a little skeevy and manipulative, but it’s never his intention to hurt her. Also partly because his flirting in the series is absolutely horrendous, like that man has never gotten any action and it’s obvious.

Anyway—

I like to think he’s mostly the same, still sardonic and egotistical, but absolutely adores his wife. Like you said I imagine she softens out his rough edges and probably helps to curb his scheming, but generally speaking he’s the same Hades. 😂 His main motivation for wanting to take over Mount Olympus is because the Underworld is a miserable place, if he had some incentive to stay there and have it be less cold, dark and lonely I genuinely feel like he’d be comfortable there.

I don’t think Persephone ever tries to change him though, it just naturally happens this way. She likes that he’s a little out there and a little full of himself, his confidence and cleverness is attractive to her! She might even come off a bit indifferent to his beef with Zeus, since the Olympians aren’t really her cup of tea anyway. I think Hades would appreciate and enjoy being around someone who wasn’t always standing on some false moral high ground!

Basically, she’s comfortable with her emo husband and supports his world take over, it keeps life interesting!

Originally I thought it would be funny to have the events of the movie be the result of Persephone spending the spring with her mom like the myth, but writing a sequel where Hades is the underdog struck me as having better story potential. Also I couldn’t get the timeline to quite work? With Hades planning this whole thing for eighteen years, it just didn’t make sense for them to have known each other before Hercules. 😂 Plus, the idea of all the gods working together to hook Hades up with a wife just to get him off their backs is such a funny concept to me!

thank you for allowing people to vent their frustrations or discuss whats been happening in your inbox, a lot of qsmpblr from what ive seen wants to ignore anything besides brightest side outlooks and they shove everything else down by labelling things like the spreading of the latest updates as "doomposting".

i personally havent seen any actual doomposting (expecting the worst possible scenario, ex. "the server is over and will never come back") from anywhere besides a small handful of people who hate quackity on twitter, the closest i can find here is sentiments like "yeah i dont know if ill be back to actively watching every day even if everything is fixed" or "im so disillusioned at this point that im not coming back until we get concrete proof things are better" where its people personally deciding to (often temporarily) leave the fandom, not any actual doomposting or discouraging anyone to still follow the server because "theres no chance anything will ever be fixed".

so yeah, thank you for allowing stuff besides the most positive of takes in your askbox <3 im too scared to post stuff on my own because of the toxicly positive mindset on qsmpblr, so being able to vent my frustrations in your askbox really helps!

Tbh I don’t blame people who are complaining about what they see as « doomposting ». When you love something you don’t want to wake up every morning learning about another set of bad news on it, instead you want to believe that everything will be fixed and that you will soon be able to enjoy it like you used to.

However the situation IS bad. People are talking about negative things because they ARE happening. And it isn’t just some random drama like this is a situation that affected negatively on people, could even be considered breaching some laws and, also, be the end of the project. I don’t like saying that, obviously, but it’s the truth.

Saying it’s joever already won’t do any good but so will blindly hoping that things will be better. Tbh I’m happy that I haven’t seen much of both of these takes except from the extreme sides of the fandom (out of all the anons I got since it started very few were extremely negative, no hate to them btw feel free to vent in my askbox i just chose not to post them).

People can stop watching qsmp altogether, or just keeping to their fav ccs streams, some can chose to keep watching like they did before for X reasons, others are straight up leaving the fandom, it’s all fine, we just need to understand everyone’s perspective without jumping to judgement.

Side note : One thing I won’t tolerate here is hate on the admins who spoke up though (this + the usual assholery aka random hating, bigotry etc)

Personally I haven’t watched a qsmp stream since the situation was exposed but thats just because I don’t want to support the project rn and can’t enjoy the content knowing what we now know. That’s just me though !

What kills me about Bruce is that he never really tries to make up with his children after abusing them ( no i will not debate that he is an abusive parent) or if they argue. He just lets it consume him and throws himself into his work without bothering to try and understand their point of view or even just talk to them and communicate at all at the core thats why his relationship with them is sooo fraught .

He has a severe lack of emotional competency and he is a WRECK when it comes communication Its like his .. worst nemesis All of his relationships are unnecessarily over complicated because he is such a nightmare to try and have a conversation with after . He cannot communicate effectively at ALL .

His priority towards The Mission above all means he only really clarifies his emotions when CRUCIAL. Which he has interesting opinions on what classifies as “crucial ” which isn’t usually the times when he needs to talk to people because of his aforementioned lack of emotional competency so he never understands he actually needs to like Fucking talk .

Like when he argues with his children . The thing is he never tries to see their emotions as well as his own . He never tries to dig deeper he takes statements at face value never back up what he says UNLESS it’s about crime fighting he never apologises really or tries very hard to fix it .

Bruce suffers a clinical lack of emotional understanding so it ends up with him never trying to see how people feel or understand why they acted like that like if it is outside of crime fighting because he is so obnoxiously bad at picking up or acknowledging problems. ( probably because how he solves all his emotional problems are by .. not he just ignores it and eventually has to give in because someone Babs , Dick , Tim , ALFRED tell him that he can’t do that shit forever)

This isn’t to say that Bruce is a bad person he saves hundreds all the time he is an exceptionally good person sacrificing his entire life ( and um those of people who care about him) and all he has ever had even the love of others he pushes away in pursuit of the mission. But at his core he is a bad father or just a bad person to care about. Because he doesn’t care about himself only the again THE DAMN MISSION.

Literally everything comes second place to the dedication of that crusade . A good fantastic person at his heart a failure at being a person in any and all interpersonal relationships 😭.

But it’s frustrating because he could so easily become a better person but because of the the cyclic nature of comics and the whole “he must be grim all the time ” even though YOU KNOW he could co exist as a hardened dark urban warrior AND a good father and other shit but alasss i feel like the one plot i have always wanted more than any other batman comic is him moving on from the unholy obsession with the mission help him to be a balanced person and live with emotional turmoil in an actually healthy way . Pftt like that’ll happen

Poly Hatzgang x Reader General HCs

You’re a transfer student to their school.

Your first day, this kid randomly seems to be walking up to you with a grin on his face.

He seemed pretty short, brown curly hair, and striped yellow and orange shirt plus a hat.

Two other dudes were following him around, which you assumed were his friends.

As he approached you, you tried greeting him, but he only seemed sarcastic during your conversation.

Then he decided to start making fun of you, trying to embarrass you and get under your skin.

You were just sitting there letting him spit insults at you, until one of the other kids following him around pushed Roy softly to the side and put a hand on your shoulder, telling you he could show you around.

He was tall with blonde curly hair, also with a hat on, and the other had a dark aesthetic to him, with a beanie on.

The tall one introduced himself as Robert, the other as Ross, and then Roy.

Ross waved and smiled softly, following you and Robert around while Roy stared in frustration.

Robert seemed nice - he showed you around and told you all the teacher’s names.

At lunch, he sat next to you along with Ross.

You noticed their friend Roy getting annoyed, so you told them they didn’t have to hang out with you.

They of course still stayed with you, talking with you and keeping you company.

A few weeks at the school and Robert and Ross were your friends. Roy was just warming up to you, but you knew he was a good kid inside.

Later on, of course, they all catch feelings for you, and ask you to join their relationship.

Now, on with hcs:

I’m probably just adding this because I absolutely love metal (especially Metallica) but Ross really loves metal, and would probably hang out with the gang listening to Korn or something.

Roy tries to look neutral about it, but really he does like it.

Robert likes it too, as long as everyone’s happy he’s happy.

You all literally see each other almost every day. There’s no day you don’t ever see them.

Robert’s a big cuddler, so sometimes you will all just lay in a cuddle pile, basking in each other’s warmth as a song plays in the background, you all pretty much asleep.

You all love to play video games together too, so if you have a game console or something they all like to take turns playing different games and such.

Robert, Ross, and Roy are the most to least tolerant of PDA. Roy sees it as a weakness and likes to keep stuff private, while Ross just likes to keep things behind closed doors too. Robert isn’t overly affectionate but a quick hug is always nice.

Not much changes since you all got into a relationship except you guys are just more touchy and lovey.

Roy secretly loves it when you’re affectionate with him. He loves your cuddles and praise, but of course, Roy is Roy so he’ll almost never show it. Especially around others.

Roy’s love language is acts of service, he likes doing subtle things for you when you do something for him. Helped him beat a game? He’ll leave a small piece of chocolate in your bedroom.

Ross’ is words of affirmation. He likes to hear nice things from you, even if it’s just “Thank you.”

Robert’s is definitely physical affection. Like I said, big cuddler. Just give him one kiss on the cheek a day, please.

Like I said, Roy secretly loves those affectionate moments. He gets super flustered during them, though.

Just please don’t do it in public. It ruins his ego.

Ross just loves silent moments between you. Late night walks where you hold hands, walking in the moonlight, are the best.

Ross is definitely actually a night owl. Probably stays up really late on the weekends.

He’s almost never bothered by anything. He never gets annoyed and he’s super chill.

Robert’s more jumpy, but in a good way, like more excitable and all. He could probably go on hours rambling about anything.

He loves long hugs. Doesn’t really get embarrassed that easily either.

Robert loves letting you borrow his shirts and stuff, he loves how they smell like you when they come back.

If you have a pet, they’ll be all over it. Of course they’ll give it space if needed but they all definitely love animals.

I feel like Roy and Robert would be dog people. Ross just gives me black cat vibes.

Sleepovers all the time. Even on school days. You all go to the same school so whatever.

Ross probably tries putting makeup on you for fun.

Roy is super stubborn and won’t ask for help when needed, so you’ll probably have to give him help even when he says he doesn’t need it. Example : trying to beat a video game. He’ll thank you later, in his own way.

You all either go out to get fast food, watch Roy bully little kids, or chill st each other’s houses as dates together.

Your not really open about your relationship, I’d imagine. You don’t tell everyone but people that you trust would know.

But yeah, all loving boyfriends! Roy’s secretly soft, Ross is quiet and a lil shy, and Robert is a sweetheart <3

It was the end of the day and more importantly, the end of Yuichi and Donatello’s shift at the shop. Their Thursday shifts weren’t typically hectic considering it’s a flower shop and not everybody in New York are buying them on the regular but today they had a big order that needed to quickly be assembled.

The customer who requested it had come to the shop very last minute as they needed their flowers by the next day for early afternoon, and their boss being the sympathetic person she was had accepted the order. Donnie was not shy to express their frustration towards customers or just people in general who wait until the last minute to do things when they had more than enough time to plan (though that just might’ve been the autism talking). One would think that out of frustration the purple clad teen would give up on their end of contribution with the stressful order, but Donatello never once stopped working and stood firm with Yuichi when their boss attempted to shoo them away and told them to head home when their shift ended, insisting she was fine finishing up on her own.

In the end though, the foam wall of intricate flowers with the additional orders of large bouquets were completed and their hard work figuratively and literally paid off. By the time the two teens left the shop it was night out and very late.

The two stood outside next to the shop in silence (or more so Yuichi since the twists haired teen beside him had their headphones on), staring at passing vehicles.

‘Well, this is boring’ the platinum haired one thought to himself. Looking to his right where Donnie was busy texting someone, Yuichi closed the distance between them to lay his head on the other’s shoulder. He peered up at them and whispered “Why are we standing here? Shouldn’t we be heading to the bus stop that takes us home?”

Donatello swatted the touchy teen away from their shoulder, slightly overstimulated but not to the point of going nonverbal. “Personal space, please. Although I don’t regret helping Su-Wei, staying there later than usual really disrupted my daily routine and I wish to go home now and not in an hour and a half, so I just texted Raph to pick us up. Said he’d be here in fifteen minutes B-T-W.”

The taller teen watched as Yuichi made the tiniest sidesteps away from them, constantly looking up from his feet to see when the other approved of their distance. With only their arm four inches away from each other, Donnie sighed tiredly as they signed ‘you’re good’, knowing that’s how far the Japanese boy would accept being away from them.

Yuichi flashed them a cheeky smile as he opted to communicate with his friend via text as to prevent further discomfort than what Donnie was already in.

Jackass: I know you luv me Donnie :3

Don: Clingy bastard, contain that affection for Leo since he’s equally as clingy and the one you’re dating

Jackass: We’re not clingy we just have a lot of love to give!

Don: My ASS you two aren’t! You two can’t even last a day being without each other.

Both playfully bantered about for the remainder of their wait and before they knew it Raph had arrived to pick the two up. The car ride was filled with excited chatter between Yuichi and Raphael, both eager for this upcoming weekend’s wrestling match that they bought tickets for to see live.

The trio arrived to the Hamato household where everyone had already retired into their rooms for the night. Raph informed them that if they were hungry Mikey had stored away leftovers of the sautéed veggies and pan-fried pork chops they had eaten earlier in the fridge, then bidding them a goodnight as he could finally be able to sleep in peace knowing his sibling was back in the safety of their home.

Donatello was next to walk to their own room, stating they needed to deregulate by having “Donnie Time” (which was just them immediately changing out of their day clothes and into loose ones, then curling up and rocking themself in their sensory swing as they play Minecraft).

Now in his solitude, Yuichi realized just how exhausted he actually was with his body feeling heavy and sleep desperately calling for him. On autopilot his legs lead him to his boyfriend’s room, and he hopes his door is unlocked because Leo had a habit of locking it and Yuichi would very much prefer to sleep on his comfortable bed rather than on the Hamato family’s cold couch.

When he reached Leo’s door he found it was indeed locked but heard movement coming from inside. Too tired to use his hands, Yuichi used his forehead to knock on door and after a solid minute of waiting it opened.

“Mikey why are you bang-, Yuichi? Why are you here?” Leonardo, who was dressed in causal sleepwear (his favorite Ebenezer Scrooge type long since gone and ALLEGEDLY destroyed by his twin plus Mikey) with the addition of his favorite royal blue bonnet and a translucent facial mask, looked at his boyfriend quizzedly. It was a school night and the other’s guardian was typically strict about sleepover days, so sue Leo for asking.

“Am I not welcomed here no more? Should I take the stuffed rabbit back?” With a tired shrug he continued “Hueso gave the green light to let me sleep me over this one time ‘cause of how late we got out of work, but since it seems like you don’t want me here, I’ll just go sleep on the cold, lonely couch where I’ll most likely wake up sore from in the morning!” The teen exaggerated as he played off as if he was going to leave.

Rolling his eyes at the act, Leo pulled his boyfriend inside his room by the arm. A surprised “woah” escaped Yuichi’s mouth, allowing Leo to take the chance to close the gap between them and steal a kiss.

Yuichi scrunched his nose as he remembered Leo was still wearing a facial mask. “Nooooo! Your facial thingy’s gonna smudge onto meee!” He muffled out as their lips were still smooshed against each other.

Pulling away, Leo swiped his fingers across his cheek then flipped them over to show Yuichi that it wasn’t wet. “Look, it’s dry, so shut up.” Continuing where he left off, the slightly taller male cupped his partner’s adorably squishy cheeks and pecked kiss after kiss on the puckered lips in front of him, all while Yuichi could only pout as his cheeks were held hostage by the strong grip the other’s hand had on them (not that he hated it, he just didn’t like how he couldn’t kiss him back).

After the broad-shouldered teen released the toned one to peel off the face mask, Yuichi staggered his way to the bed while gradually removing all items and clothing on his being until he was only left in his boxers. He then tossed himself onto the semi-soft king mattress with his limbs outstretched comfortably as he waited for Leonardo.

“That tired huh?” He heard Leo ask when he came out of his bathroom and shut the door close that lead to the hallway. He heard as his footsteps grew closer then felt a nudge on his calf. “Want some pj’s or you good like that?”

“I’m fine like this, now come cuddle me” Yuichi replied as he sat up and made grabby hands at Leo. Amused and ever so loving this extra clingy side from his boyfriend of almost two years, Leo grabbed Yuichi’s phone from his discarded pants and set it to charge on a wireless port Donnie had made for all of them. He then climbed into bed and laid on the right side as Yuichi sat on the left.

Quick to cling himself onto his love, Yuichi slotted their legs together and hugged Leo’s torso as he laid his cheek above his sternum, sighing when he felt familiar smooth hands undo his tight ponytail and running a hand through it to soothe it out. And as if the delightfulness of it all wasn’t enough, he felt Leo softly scratch his short nails around the area where he felt the most tension on his scalp.

Leonardo smiled as he heard the boy below him groan pleasurably and continued the action until he felt that the tension from the hairstyle Yuichi had had dissipated by now.

“So bun, you gonna tell me what happened that made you and Dee come home late from work?” Leo asked curiously but was met with silence. Peering down he slightly shook the other, thinking he was probably just pretending to be asleep. “Yui? Hello?” A soft snore was heard from below, the head scratches from before seeming to be the cause for Yuichi’s rapid descent into slumberland.

The bonnet covered teen sighed as he watched his boyfriend’s sleeping form with endearment. Behind those closed monolith eyelids were the prettiest and most warm brown eyes that almost glimmered under the rays of a setting sun, and if you looked at his face up close enough, you’d notice the faintest of freckles sitting across his golden-brown tawny skin, earned from the hours of outdoor labor on hot sunny days back when he still lived on his aunt’s farm in Japan. And to spike up on the cute-o-meter the Japanese boy had the most winsome smile that accentuated that sportive charm he carries.

Deciding to allow his significant other to sleep, Leo played online with Donnie who was still awake for an hour or so before both of them logged off and called it a night.

Blearily, he pressed soft kisses onto the crown of his boyfriend’s head, heart warm and full and as the heavier his eyelids got, he could only smile blissfully as he too succumbed into peaceful slumber.
