Fighter #06 - Kirby

- Little Mac introduced him to Naruto and now he's a big fan of it. His favorite character is Kakashi Hatake.

- Kirby loves to cosplay! He often makes cosplays of the other fighters. It's not in a creepy way, it's just that he admires them and their unique abilities. Getting a wig is easy enough, since all he has to do is inhale them, but the clothes can be difficult because Kirby's body is so round. Cosplay Pikachu often helps him out and gives him tips.

- He likes painting rocks in his free time. To help earn funds for the mansion, he'll go back to Dreamland and sell them to the locals.

- He's a master of croquet, but somehow terrible at golf. If that wasn't bad enough, he only gets worse when playing Wii Golf.

- Cloud and Link are his idols. He'll hang out with them every chance he gets.

- Kirby's Ultra Sword is the biggest sword in Smash. Unfortunately, this has caused Sephiroth to hate him.

- Kirby is always the first fighter to greet new additions to the roster. No matter who they are or where they came from, he's always super excited to meet them.

- Despite his spherical stature, he's an amazing ballerina. He has a tutu that's pink, just like him.

- Kirby is one of the backup dancers for the Squid Sisters.

- He's a firm believer in giving second chances. He doesn't give a flying flea that the villains tried to kill him, everyone deserves a fresh start in his eyes.

- He loves to read fantasy novels. In his room, there's a giant bookshelf filled with tales about fairies, dragons, unicorns, and other mythological creatures. Speaking of which, he loves reading about Greek and Norse mythology. He finds it really interesting.

- Kirby can inflate anything in three seconds. If the Smash Bros are at the beach and the beach ball is going flat, he can refill it in no time. That being said, if the beach balls are forgotten, Kirby will NOT allow anyone to use him instead. That's just disrespectful.

- Terry introduced him to Earth music and now he can't stop listening to it. He loves k-pop and 80s music the most. His playlist is forty hours long and it keeps growing longer. Kirby wants to expand his horizons as much as possible, so he'll gladly take song recommendations, no matter what genre it is. In fact, that's how he figured out that he was a big Mastodon fan.

- He's really good at Just Dance.

- Kirby is a sweetheart, but his monstrous appetite can be really tough to deal with. Combined with the appetites of Pac-Man, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario, King K. Rool, and King Dedede, it's a complete nightmare for whoever's making food that day. These devious fighters need to have at least three servings for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner.

- One time, the roster held a potluck to celebrate the fact that they were all still alive, and the hungry seven were allowed to have four servings instead of their usual three, which was a big mistake. The only thing left over was a single piece of chicken, and the following day, the seven of them fought over who would get to eat it. First, they argued with each other, then it became an all-out brawl. Of course, Kirby ended up winning. To commemorate his victory, he made himself a trophy out of cardboard, gold star stickers, and dried macaroni that he keeps in a display case in his room.

- He really wants to join in on the Mario Kart races, but keeps getting rejected because Warp Stars are too overpowered, apparently.

- Kazuya really hates him, but poor Kirby doesn't understand why. After Kazuya tried to kill him, Kirby picked some purple flowers and gave them to him as a peace offering. The grumpy devil man thought they were poisonous and crushed them underfoot. Poor Kirby was heartbroken, but he understood that Kazuya didn't have much plant knowledge. He seemed to hate him even more after Kirby showed him his copy ability. Legend has it that Kirby is still trying to win him over to this day.

- His favorite dessert is strawberry cheesecake and you can't convince me otherwise.

- Ever since Ken told Kirby about going to Disneyland with his family, it's become Kirby's dream vacation. He's currently saving up for a trip with the entire roster. His main goal is to meet Mickey Mouse.

- Over the winter, Kirby taught Pichu how to ice skate. Sephiroth was proud to see his son learning new things.

- Kirby and Samus enjoy eating spicy stuff together. Though he usually ends up with fire breath, he always has a good time.

- He brews the best tea in the world. If a fighter is feeling sick, he has tons of herbal tea recipes to help with whatever ailment they have.

- When it's rainy outside, he and the Pokemon will go out and jump in puddles.

- He has the biggest sweet tooth, but can't stand orange or lime sherbet. He doesn't know what it is, there's just something about it that he doesn't like.

- He loves scavenger hunts! During holidays, he always sets up themed scavenger hunts for the fighters to enjoy.

- He's one of the only fighters who have seen Meta Knight without his mask (the other is King Dedede). Being the kind friend he is, Kirby's never told anyone what he looks like.

- Kirby's usually opposed to stealing, but once in a while, he just likes taking Mario's hat. It's super comfortable, and it gives him an excuse to hang out with Cappy more.

- He and Jigglypuff are two peas in a pod. They're almost always together.

- When Jigglypuff has a bad fur day, Kirby is there in a flash with two combs and some hairspray. He doesn't really know what he's doing, but he tries his best to help her out.

- Kirby, Jigglypuff, and Little Mac have weekly binge-watching sessions. It all started when Little Mac had Kirby watch every episode of Naruto with him. After they finished, Jigglypuff later joined them and they ended up watching the entirety of Sailor Moon. Now, the three of them plan on tackling One Piece.

- He plays co-op games with Fox all the time.

- Link once took Kirby to Hyrule and introduced him to the Gerudo. Long story short, they're the only two voe allowed to enter Gerudo Town.

- Kirby is the type to snack on ice chips.

- This pink ball of destruction is incapable of getting brain freeze.

- His favorite Song from the Smash soundtrack is Green Greens from Melee. He loves Green Greens as it is, but this version makes him feel like he's on a quest.

I was rewatching the "Stay Cool" ep of I Heart Arlo, and while the episode plot itself is pretty cliche and predictable, the episode itself is still pretty fun and fairly enjoyable - though my favorite part is definitely the ending.

You get to Arlo telling his dad about said yacht-sinking and Ansel not seeing an issue with it at first, saying how he often looks for those who "ask for forgiveness instead of permission" in his building managers. In a way, it kind of reminds me of the movie where he's giving Arlo advice that, while it may help him get ahead in the business world (a world Ansel is MUCH more familiar with than parenthood), isn't necessarily good advice in general.

Immediately Arlo is naturally confused, which prompts Ansel to kinda just be like "Oh right, I'm a dad now, gotta say something Dad-like", prompting him to try scolding Arlo, with his tone not sounding nearly as natural or as confident as it was prior (the vocal delivery and animation really sells this). But even if Ansel is still only acting stern and isn't actually mad or even that disappointed, it's still enough for Arlo to continue being super hard on himself, not necessarily needing Ansel or anyone else to tell him that he messed up big time. (and oof, you really do feel for him here...)

That then leads into Ansel fully realizing how distraught his son is and doing what any good parent should do in a situation like this: comfort and letting their kid know that mistakes don't erase love, and that things can be replaced. That the important thing is that Arlo is safe and that he still loves him no matter what (and all while an instrumental version of "In The Blue With You" plays in the background. Just, d'awwww!), ending things off with a hug and a quick joke about Arlo getting an allowance + the squid falling for the Ansel statue, lol.

Though, while I love this whole ending and how sweet it is, Arlo being so worried about disappointing or being hated by his dad (that bit where he says "Ansel" instead of "Dad" because he's "practicing for when he gets disowned". OOF) definitely hits a lot harder than the typical "my parent's gonna kill me!" jokes you see in TV shows when you remember that Arlo was literally abandoned by Ansel as a baby. Additionally, in the next episode, you briefly see Arlo admit that he still worries about one day disappointing Ansel.

If the show had more episodes, I have to wonder if the show would fully address these fears that Arlo has - to acknowledge that, while Arlo may have forgiven Ansel for everything and for as much as Ansel is trying to be there for him now, it isn't exactly easy for Arlo to just forget about how Ansel not only gave him up as a baby but also took forever to finally accept him. Even if he understands WHY Ansel struggled so much with accepting both his son and himself and how Ansel's backstory/trauma led to Ansel making decisions he regretted, Arlo was still impacted by these decisions and still felt the hurt in them.

While we got to see a few instances of Arlo and Ansel bonding with each other/Ansel learning to be a dad, we never really got to see these two have a full-on argument or fight. But if we DID, I have to wonder if the climax of it would be Arlo blurting out something about being abandoned again for not being the perfect son - something he would immediately regret, but also something that Ansel, for as hurt as he would be to hear it, would still understand.

Frankly, I would love to see a scene where these two have a heart-to-heart where Arlo admits that while he isn't mad at his dad, he still feels hurt and afraid. He loves his dad wholeheartedly and has loved getting to spend time with him and get to know him, but there's a small part of him that doesn't fully trust him just yet - and Ansel completely gets it, saying that he doesn't blame Arlo for not being able to just forget about his abandonment and, what's more, that while he's grateful for Arlo's forgiveness, he doesn't necessarily deserve the full forgive-and-forget treatment. "I spent years trying to make myself forget what I did, to make it easier on myself... It wasn't right then, and it wouldn't be right now."

And in the end, this missing trust is just accepted as one more thing they have to continue working on, with Ansel promising that he'll do - and keep doing - whatever he needs for Arlo to know that not only does he love him, but he won't ever turn his back on his son again, no matter what.

It's not a perfect solution by any means nor does it completely fix things, but they both agree that it's at the very least a good step forward ^v^

This doesn't have some super extravagant amount, but I tried to give you what you wanted!

Pt 2 of HCs for dating Cho Sang-woo

There's some slight mentions of spicy stuff in here but it's just a lil alluding hint so not really

He likes to cook for you, normally if you're having some kind of date-night-in or just waking up for breakfast. He's pretty good at it too, and absolutely loves when you tell him he's a great cook or ask him to make something for the two of you.

Small things like that play into his love for providing for you. He's not quite determined to do everything for you, but he loves feeling a certain level of you needing him, relying on him, especially since he might feel a bit insecure about providing for you financially or in words.

So he likes to cook for you, get up and do small favors as long as you don't ask him to do it 24/7, help you reach for things, and kill bugs in the house. He would probably say something sarcastic-- or whatever his probably monotone, less obvious version of sarcasm is-- about certain tasks just to joke around, but he really does like that you can ask him to do things for you and trust that he will.

So in the first part I mentioned he can get jealous,

He's not overly possessive, but he hates the idea of someone he doesn't deem worthy of being with you trying to get with you, and he generally just gets upset when he thinks you're getting too lovey with someone else. You're his, he deserves you and he tries to deserve you. It's rare you two end up fighting about it; that's only if he think it really went too far. Instead he might use a jealousy-provoking event as an excuse for some fun punishment or proving how much better he is, which in that case is a win for you anyway hehe.

or maybe it's obviously the other person's fault completely and they just won't leave you alone. In that case, he loves to start showing off how much you love him and display some affection to scare the person off. He'll walk next to you and put his arm around your waist, getting you to introduce him as your boyfriend and make sure the person knows you love Sang-woo more than anybody else. That's one way to get him a little extra affectionate in public.

He's good at intimidating people who are annoying the two you in other ways too. Now he's not one to brag, so instead of boasting about graduating from a great college or whatever, he'll just display how smart he is with a barely catchable but still present hint of cockiness. Surely there's some subject that the person is interested in that he could easily show more knowledge/intellegence in. And it's even better if you are someone who likes to talk about how good he is at things. It would make him smirk so smugly if you were to start going off about all his skills and talents and good traits in front of somebody clearly trying to flirt with you. It would make him so proud, so smug, and you'd definitely get a reward for something like that.

He'd be fine with all sorts of dates/bonding activities: going to parks, restaurants, going on picnics (though he'd never think of that one in a million years, but would love it if you suggested it), or to stay home and do your own things just to be in the same vicinity, watch movies, anything really. The dates he'd suggest the most would be a quiet night in or restaurants. It's just the easiest to think about, and part of the reason he would like paying for food is to prove he can provide financially at least a little every so often.

Because of these small insecurities, he'll fall head over heals way more quick if you start assuring him. He won't ask for it, and would probably say he doesn't need assurance or anything at all at first, but he clearly loves when you talk about what you see in him, and that he's a good boyfriend the way he is. If you're someone who makes small comments on what you notice about a person or like about them then he'd crave your presence in his life.

I had this funny thought about how he would help an s/o in college/doing classes. He would be like a strict dad honestly. He would be super helpful and know all the ways to help you study best, yet he Would. Not. Help. You. Cheat. He refuses no matter how much you try to persuade him to just give you some of the answers for difficult things, but he's not plain rude and unhelpful. He's naturally good at explaining things to you.

He is very observant of traits and characteristics. Much like the second man I've simped for most on this acc, he values basically making a list of traits of yours in his head. He notes how you interact with the world around you and how you communicate, how you treat him and the small actions you show your own affection through. Even if you might feel like he doesn't notice just how much you love him, he does, way more than you think.

This part is less of a hc and more of a ramble about how fucking awesome he is, but jesus christ this man would have the most protective aura, for his s/o at least. Maybe it's just because he can intimidate people without being straight up violent yet also can become violent if he really wants to, and maybe because he's the type of person that fits the "would sacrifice the world for you," energy. All of it is just wonderful when you're in a relationship because it feels like home but with a little extra excitement in the right places.

I could probably come up with a bit more but this is all for now. I want to start on some oneshots and stuff so I tried to make this quick yet good enough! Hope you enjoy

Squid Game is OVERRATED af.

Heavy Spoilers ahead!

As someone who have watched Alice in Borderland, I had great expectations from this show encouraged by the ratings everyone seemed to give it. I thought Sweet Home had quite a poor ending where the story turned from escaping from monsters to escaping from humans (with little to no monster encounters towards the end), but the ending here is just as poor. Why do these korean shows end up messing things up towards the end?

Warriors and Survior are songs that fit survival shows like Sweet Home and AoB but here? Nah. Doesn't have much going here.

I know this post is going to get negative attention and I don't care because I have to get this out of my system.

Gi-Hun

This guy cared more for the strangers (OLD MAN esp) than his own family. He didn't shed a tear or worried for his mother when Sang woo's mom mentioned how she's been missing for few days. She was ill at the time he left to play the fucking game and prioritising her health wasn't even in his bucket list when he was asked what he'd do with the money.

Had it been hinted that he had good relationship with his father and bad with his mother, that could have been made the reason why he cared so much for the old man because then the reason would be he reminded him of his dead father whom he dearly missed. Hell! Had it been his father (instead of a nameless friend) who died in the roit then it would have made sense. But plain respect and care for elderly cannot really justify the tears and lengths he went for him.

Speaking of bucket list, he didn't complete a single one in the list – starting a business his mother wanted? No. Starting over? Nope. Being a good parent? Lol as if he had time for that. He never spared a single thought for his daughter or mother throughout the story. It didn't even look like he wanted to – he only wanted to be alive. The closest he had came to thinking about his life was the fucking factory roit in which his friend died, which had been the reason why he wasn't present during the delivery of his daughter; his wife had to drag herself to the hospital all by herself. He doesn't deserve to be a father no shit. The fact that he helped everyone but himself, his family, speaks volumes of how much he cared for his family.

The Squid game caller guy literally told Gi-Hun to just get on the goddamn plane and to get a life. And he did what? he ignored it and signed himself up back to the hellhole he despised so much, all with his head held high, shoulders back, hair dyed red (which frankly is the only interesting thing about him) and motivated af to break the system. Yeah, he's a one-man army after all.

The ending of the story just ruined the show for me. Sang woo was right; he was dumb, doesn't learn from his experiences, and it was only through other's sacrifice and luck that he made it through the end AND HE DOESN'T FUCKING REALISE IT.

Sang woo

The self-sacrifice was something I can't see him doing. From the start he looked for himself first, was selfish and somewhat guilty but not so much that he'd bring himself down, and had some moments of friendship he shared with others like Ali and Gi-Hun that made him likable, but not so much that he'd put them above his own life. He was the guy who voted to continue playing Squid game because he had his priority set. Gi-hun, on the other hand, didn't want to be there and still stayed, blamed others but never himself, and was kind during the most inopportune times. He really was ready to get the old man killed and he made it seem as though he was the virtuous one when he blamed Sang woo for pushing the guy off the bridge when there was only less than 20 seconds left.

Sang-woo hated when Gi-Hun would mention his past, his achievements (I think Gi-hun did that everytime to rub it on his face, which he eventually did) as it showed how far he've fallen. Even when he had everything going for him, he was left with nothing. He had wanted to win back his pride with the reward money.

Sang woo knew what he was doing when he tricked Ali and had felt guilty but never remorseful. He went ooc route when he sacrificed his life. He killed a severely injured person in the off chance that they pose a threat to him in case they hold a majority vote, and he took his own life when there was an opportunity to kill Gi-Hun right in front of him. He didn't even look all that hurt – only his ankle got chomped on and recieved few punches in, but compared to Gi-Hun who had gotten stabbed multiple times, beaten more than he, nothing biggie. He had great opportunity to kill Gi-Hun who was showing kindness (wtf? You're the same guy who looked ready to kill him in his sleep the last episode and now you're backing off and doing the hand thing?) and I was expecting him to, but no they turned this into a typical shounen manga where friendship and suicide is above all else.

In my opinion, he was the most well-written character, right until the last game.

Sae-byeok and Ji-yeong

They both had no one to rely on who didn't look down on them for any reason like gender and nationality. When Sae-byeok approached Ji-yeong, she did because she looked alone like her. They got closer because they opened up to each other knowing one of them wouldn't make it. Ji-yeong looked like she really wanted to get to know her better, planning future, recommending places to go and things to do, but always ending with saying it wouldn't happen. She gave up wanting to proceed further in the game because the one thing she finally wanted to do after years of emptiness couldn't happen without Sae-byeok there. Their relationship moved me to tears. Even though it was a relationship that developed only over 30 minutes that ended just as fast, I felt they had the best relationship out of them all.

Ali

He was the only genuinely kind man in the place. He protected Gi-Hun from getting shot in the first game (he could have died there in that attempt) without expecting anything in return. He fought his shitty boss to be paid for his service, then karma chomped on his boss's hand and he finally got the money that was his alone. He used that money to send his wife and kid back to his homeland instead of looking forward out for himself and abandoining his family. He played the game so he could give his family a better life. He was uneducated, but he was so grateful to every little help he got and was raised with good manners that spoke volumes of his personality. Most of his lines were just him thanking others and wanting others to live. He trusted Sang-woo on the word that his plan would save both of them. If it were anyone else in the game, they would have jumped at the slight chance to save themselves even if it means eliminating the opponent without sparing a second thought no matter what kind of idea they have. I wanted him to live but of course personalities like him never last in this genre. This guy was the true cannon fodder in this show, only used to trigger emotional response out of audience. His character teaches us no matter how nice and innocent you are, people will still use your innocence.

Oh ilnam

He was the only interesting character in the show. But his character is one that is full of questions. Why did he kept mentioning his son in conversation with Gi-Hun during his final game? What happened to his son and wife? When he started this game? How and why in the world was he strong enough to play tug of war at that age? Why the fuck did he actually save Gi-Hun except for 'i had fun at your expense' reason? I was half expecting him to be Gi-Hun's father who abandoned the family in the childhood, that would have been pretty cool. Without him in picture "who is managing the games" is another question. Who was the guy that gave Gi-Hun the business card? Salesman? His son? Just a random good-looking salesman whose job description is to lure unsuspecting poverty-ridden people into his trap?

Joon-ho and his brother

Ok so you're telling me this police officer followed a van, got under it (even though the driver could see him through side mirror) and infiltrated a place where everyone is under 24/7 surveillance, and not one person noticed it until a body was recovered? Definitely believable. Every corridor and room has a camera, but the most important room that contains all important documents, manager's, is conveniently without any monitoring device.

Every object (mask, oxygen cylinder) has a sensor but this guy managed to gather days worth of evidence dressed same as them. Not only is calling police through a telephone that is connected to the enemy's network is a dumb mistake (as it could blow your cover and let them know your location), but to think it wasn't the call itself that blew his location but the position he placed the phone back that did.... Alright.

But I loved his dialogue delivery. Throwing enemy's words back at their face by turning the tables was too cool for words, and I watched each of such scenes twice for satisfaction. He faced sexual harassment and used even that to his advantage.

As for his missing brother's identity, you could see it coming from miles away. I wish they had kept the missing brother as one of the victims/players and used that to fuel Joon-ho's need to avenge his brother. Their reunion was... 50/50 at best. I still think he didn't die. We know nothing about his brother or his motivation behind being part in squid game. But we also know next to nothing about Joon-ho himself.

My rating: 7/10

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved this show till episode 6, it was 9.5/10 for me . But not anymore!

A lot of things ruined this show for me but this show also had its moments of greatness like the idea that every player was there willingly. Nobody forced them to be there. Voting system that allowed them to get out alive. All you have to do is to follow rules blindly and be lucky af.

This show also has a lot in common with AoB in terms of nature of games – game where you have to turn against your partner/friend, game where you have you eliminate others to get ahead, and killing spree to eliminate the weak, or in AoB's case, find the imposter.

00:12 here, I just watched a Squid Game ep with my sis and I'm so sleepy but... no, I cannot sleep without commenting on chapter 3 first. I've got a problem, I know. Call it mental illness if you want.

I can't stop thinking about a couple of things that happened in this chapter, first one being Sandro telling Ale they're "family" because he met his mom. Absolutely lost for words, it hurts me and I don't even know why... not really. But ma'am, it does...

Sandro calling him "mom" tho 💀 I laughed at that. I stopped laughing when Sandro told him he looked really good in his uniform :))) that made me lose my sanity, no further comments :) tryna stay calm :) "Idiot" :) I AM CALM, I AM COOL :)))))

Capitano here, Capitano there... just admit to yourself you've got a crush on him and live with it, Sandro. @ Alessio: do the fucking same, it's as clear as water that you like each other. Also, man should get the stick out of his ass.

Sandro's life is always so sad and for what? You know, Luna, you don't have to give all the tragedies to the baby 😔 he doesn't deserve it and now I hate an old lady who doesn't even exist. She had not a good feeling about Sandro? Huh? What the hell does that even mean, he was tryna be his best self and you just- can you not break my heart for once? I beg you 😭

The whole shower scene. That's it. That's... it. No comment, just vibes.

Andrea strikes again! He's doing his best to make me hate him with my whole heart and he is succeding :) but yeah, who cares about him? Tell me, is Pietro gay? Did I get it right or?

"When Alessio comes home, he finds him sleeping on the sofa in the living room, and when he goes through the house, he finds traces of whatever Sandro had been doing in there. Sometimes it’s a mug in the sink, or things that are in a place Alessio didn’t leave them in.", this is my fave part, I can't stop thinking about it. And I know I can't get used to it 'cause you're gonna make them (and me) suffer but it's just so... good. It's so right. It's perfect

I don't think Sandro has a problem with admitting to himself he has a crush on Alessio, it's the other dumbass that is in denial. They literally have so much in common, they get on so naturally, but will he admit that? NO.

Oh, but I like to give him tragedies. And I'm laughing at the non-existent old lady that everyone now hates, hehe.

Andrea still hasn't said his last word, right now I'd say it's just medium heat... And yeah, Pietro is very much gay.

─ ꗃ Let's talk about Squid Game

WHAT A FUCKING SHOW! THATS IT THATS THE POST!

GO WATCH IT IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY!!

Ok on a serious notes here's a few thoughts I've had about this show. Spoilers ahead so if you haven't watched it, GO WATCH IT RN!

1. The background characters

It is amazing to see the amount of recognition Lee Jung-jae (Seong Gi-hun), Park Hae-soo (Cho Sang-woo), Jung Ho-yeon (Kang Sae-byeok) and Wi Ha-joon (Hwang Jun-ho) are receiving but at the same time I think the cast that played Ali (Anupam Tripathi), Mi-nyeo (Kim Joo-ryoung) and Deok-su (Heo Sung-tae) deserve TO BE PART OF THE PROMOTIONS TOO BECAUSE they were equally involved as much as everyone else! And deserve the same amounts of recognition as all of them are such great actors!!

2. The Clues & foreshdowing

At the very end along episode 8 or 9 when all the beds are moved out and only 3 remain, if you look at the walls YOU CAN SEE ALL THR CLUES ARE LITERALLY PAINTED ON THE WALLS LIKE WTF! Really adds so much spice to the entire story line when you realize so many of them died just because they weren't observant enough lol

Another Easter egg was that we never see the old man getting shot?!???!! We only hear a gunshot but for every other character we see in the background of their heads literally getting blown off!! Even before that actually in Red light Green light he doesn't even get traced when the doll was placing targets on people who moved. And then ofc we see him alive and then die at the very end of the show but wtf was his deal man?!

3. KANG SAE BYEOK AND JI YEONG

IN MY HEAD THEY WERE BESTIES IF NOT GIRLFRIENDS. But for real the chemistry they shared in such a short amount of time they had on screen :((

In my eyes they had the saddest end

4. The show was written in 2009

As much as I occasionally have passional hate towards Netflix I will agree they have opened doors to some very great writers and given a number of opportunities to people who truly deserved it. The creator of Squid Game apparently wrote the script in 2009 but wasn't able to get anyone on board WHICH SUCKS FOR THEM. He even had to sell his laptop at some point because he was financially struggling. Never lose hope guys

For everyone who enjoyed Squid Game and are looking for a similar story line, Alice in Borderland is a great show. Its japanese starring Kento Yamazaki. Very thrilling and is also a game of survival!

Also i think it was very fitting for Gihun to get back to the games instead of seeing his daughter. In episode three, we learn that Gihun went to a protest instead of going to his wife's labor. Gihun argued that he had to go there because there was no way he'd be able to support the family without a job but i still think it was a way to show that Gihun would prioritize whatever he saw as "right" over his family.

I just love knowing that if i had known sangwoo personally i'd just punch the shit out of him. He was like the only one out of the main team(except the grandpa, we all hate the grandpa) who wasn't thrown into debt but kinda did it on his own. Seobyeok was a fugitive, Ali was being exploited, Gihun was fired from his job but Sangwoo was a fraud. He was bankrupt because of his greed.

But i do believe everything other than the murder of seobyeok can be explained. Ali was..a low blow. Which devastated me because you could see how much they cared for one another and how sangwoo tried to protect ali, vice versa. I think during episode 6 we see sangwoo's descent to madness, or his ugliest side. He's in a cold rage till the end and i think he offed himself because 1- he was already suicidal and unstable 2-he knew he wouldn't be able to live in debt and probably knew he's go to jail 3-he wanted a chance for his old friend. After all this, he knew it would all be in vain if he let go.

The only reason gihun doesn't face the back lash and hate sangwoo does in episode 6 is because of how the viewers think of each character as "expendable" or "right in their fight"(which i get and is something the show and the life encourages us to do).

Ilnam was a weak, old man who had nothing to live for: he was always the expandable one. Gihun was younger, had a daughter and a mother therefore he had a reason to live and win. Ali had a wife, children, parents and a life, he was one of the innocent ones while Sangwoo only had his mother and he basically dug his own grave.

There's no point in acting like gihun is the epitome of goodness while sangwoo is the son of devil. Both of them deceived their partner to proceed. The only difference between them is our perceiving of who is expandable and who isn't: who deserves to live and who doesn't.
