Comments on Netflix's Avatar The Last Airbender
*spoiler alert*
First of all I'm gonna start by saying it is one of the best adaptations I've seen so far. And that's the key word, adaptation. I've seen a lot of fans and others complain about some things that honestly, doesn't make sense because some things only work in a cartoon(just as much as some things only work in a book or a video game)
And before I start to talk about some topics that I judge important, I also wanna say that the production is fantastic, from the costumes to the CGI. It all looks amazing. (A part from Yue's wig)
1. The Script
It's not easy to pick 20+ episodes and make it fit in only 8 but damn they did a hell of a good job, especially when judging what was important to show and what they could let it go. Some fans commented that since there's no fillers, the Gaang and others miss some development but I think that for the universe of the live action what we got here it worked.
I can express how much I like to see Ozai and Azula's relationship and how it is now clear that he uses the siblings against each other, manipulating them to get what he wants. But I will admit I miss the fear Azula had, since it's implied in the show and some extras that she does fear Ozai, and fears becoming like Zuko.
I hope the 41. Is just fine after the battle in the north. See all of them bowing to Zuko after discovering that Zuko was the one that saved their asses and was heavily punished by that...it was beautiful. I loved the writers did that, give names and faces to Zuko's crew and a beautiful yet sad arc when Ozai banished his son and the men who he saved.
I also loved that they put weight into things that was treated as a joke, like Katara talking about her mother. She was a little kid who saw her mom get murdered in front of her and the live action made sure to let us know that it is not okay to make jokes about something so traumatic. All of the deaths here have tons of weight in it, it's not some random person, is someone we met, someone we liked, someone who helped. The costs of the war, something the cartoon manages to show us but know in live action, with real people, the massage gets stronger.
And they didn't forget Iroh's past like the fandom does, which is great. That actor, the earthbending soldier really let it all out, that's how you use the few screentime you have.
Sokka's isn't sexist and y'all were making a storm outta a cup of water, is not like Sokka sexist didn't go away after like the 4 or 5 episode in the original show. I think the live action was able to bring more depth to him in comparison to the first season of the cartoon. We see how he feels about his father's, the absence of him and his duty as warrior who kinda doesn't want to be a warrior.
I need a Gyatso in my life, I didn't know I needed to see more of him until the live action gave us more of him. Kyoshi was the Thor coming to Wakanda from this season, WHY THE FUCK BRYKE DONT WANNA GIVE US A KYOSHI SERIES? She is absolutely a jewel of a character. Roku and Kuruk, damn poor Kuruk man, so much pain in his words but again that's what it means to be the Avatar, it's not fun and games. Zhao saying to Aang what Korra villains said to Korra😭 that the world doesn't need the Avatar anymore, it hurt.
Guys I'm gonna say it, there's no way in hell for anyone to ship Kataang here. I'm saying this because some shippers complain that the secret tunnel part was different but c'mon, look at Kiawentiio and look at Gordon, it would be so s awkward and weird and just wrong. I know they don't have a big age difference, is only like 3 years but when they filmed Gordon looked so much younger than her, maybe in the next seasons the difference won't be that big.
The pace is good, once you start you don't wanna stop.
2. The Acting
Everyone is really good at capturing the essence of it's characters and somewhat making them their own. The highlights for me were Dallas and Ian, Its like they came straight from the show. Ken Leung's Zhao was also amazing as he was way more threatening here than he was in the show.
Kiawentiio was the Katara we were looking for, she is kind yet strong, brave and caring. And Gordon was Aang, sure, he has to learn a few things since he slipped a few times in his acting but nothing that could ruin the experience, that kid is good and just needs some experience.
Elizabeth Yu was Azula. It was different but yet the same character, is like learning something new of her and I like how cleared she show emotions with her eyes. Maria Zhang had great chemistry with Ian and I can't wait to see more of Suki. Arden Cho and Yvonne Chapman as June and Avatar Kyoshi look like they came out straight from the cartoon. Daniel Dae Kim...man is Ozai, so cold, so sharp, so scary, already way better than the cartoon version. I wanna see more of Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Iroh since the character he really starts to shine in book 2.
3. The live action doesn't have the spirit of the OG?
Yes, it does have. The thing is now that we are seeing real people, things get dark one way or another but I don't think it ruined the spirit of the show. Aang is still a kid, Sokka still making sarcastic jokes, Zuko still annoying as hell, Katara still hopeful and strong... There's everything there really.
The thing is stuff like genocide, murder, war, death and suffering are, for some people, better to watch as pixels in a cartoon than real people.
I think it's a great adaptation and I would recommend it to every fan.

Is it possible to have a Yandere!God x Goddess of love!reader?
Gods : Hades, Poseidon, Thor, Hermes and Beelzebub
Sp here's the scenario :
Reader has always been inlove with [God], it's pure love. While [God] is inlove with her too, but it's an obsessive type of love.
And then the meeting of the Gods came(like in the chapter 1/episode 1 of RoR) where the Gods trashtalking humans on how filthy or dumb they are, both Reader and [God] are there. Being the Goddess of love, reader don't like what are they doing, she loves humans. She's not that sad not until she heard [God] agreeing to them. Her heart broke hearing what her husband said about humans.
Reader thought that her husband hated her because she loves humans so she decided to ran away to human realm and start her new life there. Little did she know, she was pregnant with [God]'s son.
And then in Ragnarok, they met again, [God] saw reader watching the match with Brunhilde. (Please it's up to you what would be his reaction like😭)
And the story goes on~~~
Bonus : Their son is one of the human champions
(You remember the request I did where there's emoji like this : 🗣️🔥‼️ it's mine so please make the reader similar with that story or make it a sequel if you want thank you❤️❤️ and add nsfw if that's okay, if not it's okay too
-You were gone. Nowhere to be found, not even all the guards in Valhalla could find out after he gave the order to have you brought home.
-This was so unlike you; you never ran away or just vanished before! (Love’s) mind raced, thinking you had been kidnapped and were being held hostage! That was the only thing that made sense!
-He knew you loved him; you told him almost twenty times a day and he knew the way you looked at him, you were head over heels in love with him. He loved you just as much, but while your love was gentle and pure, his was obsessive, wanting to keep you all to himself.
-You were safe by his side that morning, when you attended the meeting of the gods alongside him, the meeting was about humans and if they deserved to live after all these years.
-You loved humans, they were creative, hardworking, and their determination was breathtaking to watch, but you were horrified to hear most of the gods wanted to get rid of them, no longer wanting to deal with humanity, despite being the creators, and after failing to supervise and manage the humans, they blamed the humans instead of blaming themselves.
-He knew you were sensitive to topics about death and destruction, being a goddess of life, but normally you’re okay afterwards.
-He had given his opinion, for the destruction of humanity so gods could heal and rebuild the earth, not at all bothered by starting over, at the cost of humanity.
-After the meeting you had gone up to bed, stating that you weren’t feeling well, which he didn’t question as you had been not feeling well and been more tired lately.
-However, when sent a servant to wake you for dinner, they came back in a panic that you weren’t in your shared room and after checking your usual haunts in the house, you were nowhere to be found.
-Every single god in Valhalla was looking for you, leaving no stone unturned, (Love) offered massive rewards to anyone who would bring you home safely.
-It was like you simply vanished. Only one person knew where you were, and Brunnhilde wasn’t going to say a thing until you contacted her, following your instructions.
-Years passed, but to immortal gods, it seemed like it went so quickly. (Love) never stopped looking for you, going into the different realms, like Helheim, searching for you, convinced you had been stolen away.
-Ragnarok was announced and (Love) attended, looking worse for wear than normal, and many gods both were worried for him and sympathized with him, as many knew his intense love for you.
-From across the stadium he saw a flash of (H/C) hair and his eyes widened, thinking it was a trick of the light, a hallucination after pining for you for so long!
-It was you, you were there with Brunnhilde and an unknown young man with (his color) hair who towered over you, massively tall with large muscles.
-You looked exactly the same, only with shorter hair, but you were absolutely glowing.
-Anyone in his way dove out of the way as he tore through the arena, sprinting over to you, catching quite a bit of attention and soon other gods spotted you as well, you were back, you were safe!
-Running footsteps approached and you turned, a bit confused before (Love) embraced you so tightly he took your breath away.
-Every sleepless night, every wish to bring you back to him, his anguish and pain, came out in that hug, squeezing you tightly.
-You knew that it was inevitable, seeing (Love) again, you knew you had to return at one point, to see him again, but you didn’t expect this reaction.
-Your son, however, didn’t take kindly, grabbing him and shoving him off, “Don’t touch my mama!” (Love) froze, as he had been glaring at (Son), before turning to you.
-You put a hand on both of their chests, to keep them from fighting, “Don’t fight, (Love), this is your son, (Son), and (Son), this is your father.”
-The two men were similar in personality, protective over you, and they froze in unison, looking at each other, seeing the similarities.
-(Love) cupped your cheek, seeing the unshed tears in your eyes, “Where- where did you- did you go?! I-I couldn’t-” you placed your hand against his mouth, halting his words, seeing his own unshed tears.
-You inhaled softly, “I left after you said you supported the decision to kill humanity. Humans deserve more credit than we, as gods, are giving them. Gods created humans, they’re our responsibility, and as such, (Son) is a fighter for humanity, and I’m going to support him and them.”
-(Love) was stunned by your words, hearing that you left because of him, you went to earth and hid away, having the son he didn’t even know that existed, which explained why you weren’t feeling good in the days leading up to your disappearance.
-(Love’s) eyes met your own, seeing the fire, the determination to do what is right by humanity, and he knew you were right and he inhaled deeply, “Then I too will fight for humanity.”
-Stunned shock filled everyone around, even as the other gods, like Zeus and Odin, had arrived, hearing that he was going to fight for humanity.
-Hades- Zeus immediately tried to change his brother’s mind, “Hades you can’t be serious?!” he turned to his youngest brother, a fierce glare in his eyes, “I lost Y/N once, I will not lose her or son again! And if that means fighting for the survival of humanity, then so be it!” you were stunned, your hands over your mouth, and (Son) was stunned, as he grew up learning that his father was a human hater, but to see him changing sides so he wouldn’t lose his family again. Hades and (Son) spent more than twenty minutes trying to calm you down after you started crying, making Zeus feel bad too. Hades knew he had to build a relationship with his son, as he was an adult now, but you were home- you both were, and he was never going to let you leave again.
-Poseidon- You and (Son) were in shock, because Poseidon’s hatred towards humans was common knowledge, and to hear him say something so shocking, just so he wouldn’t lose you, you were quickly in tears and leapt into his arms, sobbing into his chest. He squeezed you close, furious at himself, had he known what drove you away, he would have done everything to change his ways. (Son) was glaring at him, not happy that he was hugging you, his mama, but Poseidon stunned him by offering him a hand to take. (Son) hesitated but took it and Poseidon pulled him in, after letting you go, lifting to cup the back of his head, “I will do everything in my power to make things right, (Son).” The declaration was a start for your child, hearing his father’s resolve to keep you and him safe at home, but Poseidon had a long way to go to earn his trust, but Poseidon was willing to work for it.
-Thor- Odin grabbed his son’s shoulder, “You can’t be serious?!” Odin paused, seeing the fierce determination in his son’s eyes, “I lost Y/N due to our selfish decision, and she’s right- gods created humans so it’s our job to manage and guide them, rather than just wiping them out! And if you’re all to blind to see it, I will fight for humanity’s survival and I’ll do it myself!” Odin was stunned by his son’s declaration, before his gaze shifted to you, who was in tears, and (Son), his grandson, whom he had no idea even existed. Odin then stunned all by pulling back, “I agree with you, son. Zeus! We need to have another discussion. Halt everything with Ragnarok!” Thor was shocked his father agreed, before he turned back to you, seeing you getting consoled by (Son). Thor had missed so much, and he was fully prepared to fight to never miss anything again, he wasn’t going to anything take you away.
-Hermes- Zeus glared up at his son, “You can’t be serious!” Hermes returned the glare with equal ferocity, “I’m not losing Y/N again! I was so blinded by your hate and my own hate for humans that I didn’t even see it chasing Y/N away! I will fight for humanity for as long as I’m physically able to if that means keeping Y/N and my son- your grandson, in my life!” you were stunned, you had never heard Hermes yell like that before, especially to Zeus, your son had put himself in front of you, keeping you safe. Zeus was stunned, seeing Hermes’ anger as well, seeing his determination to have you back in his life. Zeus inhaled deeply before exhaling slowly, keeping his own temper in check, “Very well, and if humanity wins their salvation, we gods shall do what we should have done from the beginning.” You and Hermes were both stunned, seeing him agree, but it just made you want to fight harder. Hermes turned and hugged you tightly again, ignoring (Son’s) demands for you to be let free, which made you smile before you pulled back and he swore to give everything, to keep humanity safe, which made you smile and tear up, hearing his declaration to you.
-Beelzebub- Zeus hesitated, only for a moment, to oppose his decision, but immediately backed down, knowing of the curse and knowing that he would be foolish to enrage Satan, whom resides in Beelzebub and loves you as well. Beelzebub held your hand, stroking the backside of it with his thumb, like he always would when he needed your reassurance, to feel that you were there, grounding him. He glared down at the shorter god, “I lost my wife for years, and I’ve never had a chance to know my son. I drove them both away, and you ‘powerful’ gods need to heed Y/N’s words, we all need to do more.” Deep down, Zeus knew that Beelzebub was right and while he didn’t want to admit it, he did, turning to Hermes, “Gather the strongest of the gods, we need to have a discussion.” You were stunned by Zeus’ decision, everyone around was, but at the same time, you felt happy, squeezing your husband’s hand gently as most of the other gods walked off. (Son) was quick to insert his hand between your own, “No holding hands with my mama!” the two men glared at each other, challenging one another which made you roll your eyes before you took each of them by the hand, “C’mon you two, we have some catching up to do.” They both fell silent, knowing they couldn’t argue with you, not that they wanted to.

Tumblr media
I didn't expect the first part to do so well... I'm speechless at the feedback/responses. I love you all so much.
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Y/N is in love with Wanda... But Wanda is in love with Spider Noir. The thing is, Y/N and Spider Noir are the same person - But Wanda doesn't know that. Y/N has a secret identity to uphold.
(Everyone lives AU - Set after DS:MoM)
F!Spider!Avenger!Reader x Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch
Chapter 1
Chapter 3
Words: 3.4k
Tags/Warnings: Fluff, Slight Angst, Alcohol Consumption, Slight Jealousy, Stephen and America being chaotic idiots, Wanda and Y/N being clueless idiots-
Tumblr media
You stopped in your path as your nerves started to surface once you finally saw her. You hadn't seen Wanda since she was injured a couple weeks ago, she had been locked up in her room within the compound away from everyone else. You hoped that she was okay.
"H-Hello, Miss Maximoff," you gulped as you saw her sitting down on a chair in the break room.
"I've told you to call me Wanda, dear," she let out a small laugh, "How have things been? Work is going smoothly, I hope?"
Nodding, you replied, "As smooth as things could be. Clint has been a good help. I'm sure you've heard, but Thor had to leave for New Asgard because of some daily crimes over there. Infinity Conez has been a target for a lot of theft lately. Other than that, apart from two or three crimes I- the Avengers had to deal with, nothing has really happened..." you trailed off, taking in her features as she blew her coffee before sipping it. You leaned against a nearby counter and cleared your throat before continuing, "How erm... How are you feeling? I heard that something happened to you when you were sent out by Steve." You prayed that she wouldn’t catch onto your lies.
She motioned down towards her foot, "Sprained ankle. Severe damage apparently, according to doctors. I'd say I came out okay considering everything that happened, though. My magic is slowly helping me with the healing process at least," she held up a hand, you watched the red magic swirl through her fingers. Darkened fingers. You bit your lip to stop yourself from asking her about them, thinking that it was an extremely personal question and you really didn't want to overstep any boundaries. A soft smile appeared on her lips, a whisper soon escaped her, “Spider Noir saved me. She was incredible.”
You couldn’t help but look away, "I'm glad you're okay, Miss Ma- Wanda. Will you... be out on the field again soon?" you asked, secretly hoping that she would. You missed fighting side by side, you had also been assigned to go on patrols with a number of different Avengers as Spider Noir and you prayed that she would be your partner for at least one day.
She nodded, "I expect so."
"I'll see if I can get Steve to give you a longer break," you smiled up at her.
"Good luck with that," she laughed before taking another sip of coffee, "Sam could probably be swayed... But Steve? Now, that's a challenge."
You couldn't help but admire her laugh, you had to shake your head to break you away from your trance - you quickly opened a cupboard and began to make a drink, anything to distract yourself from the other woman in the room. Clearing your throat as you started to pour a drink, you spoke, "I'll get out of your hair. I've got a couple things to do, what with work and all."
"Hmm..." you couldn't help but notice how deep in thought she was, "Good luck. I'll be around a lot more if you need any help."
"Th-Thanks," you turned your head to hide your blush as you walked past her seat.
As you were about to leave the room, Wanda quickly called, "Y/N?" you turned to look at her, hoping that your cheeks had returned to a somewhat normal color, "Since you are starting to assign the Avengers for specific missions... Perhaps you could have a chat with Sam and Steve about assigning Avengers for... patrols, too?"
"O-Oh?" you hoped that she didn't hear the sadness in your voice. The thought of her wanting to spend some time with someone other than you...
"If that's not too much to ask, of course?"
"N-No! Not at all," you assured, "Who did you...?"
"Spider Noir, if possible," her eyes looked down towards the cup of coffee in her hands.
That was when your heart started to beat rapidly, "S-Spider Noir? The newbie?"
She nodded, "Yes. Although I wouldn't really class her as a newbie anymore, it has been a couple months. I just wanted to get to know her more, I guess? I still feel awful for knocking her out of the sky when we first met," she let out a disappointed sigh.
"Yes!" you said, a little too enthusiastically, "I will speak to Sam and Steve."
"Thank you," she looked up and nodded towards you.
That was when you took your leave, your heart continued to beat fast.
Tumblr media
"Go on! Give it a try!"
You scoffed, "You're just mocking me."
"I'm not mocking you! What if deep down you are worthy?!"
Jane, or Mighty Thor as she preferred to go by, had called you to come over to the Avengers compound for a little get-together. The problem was, she was calling Spider Noir. So as soon as you left the building as Y/N, you immediately swung back in as Spider Noir.
You lifted your mask to knock back a shot of alcohol before slamming the glass down on the coffee table, you quickly lowered your mask to hide your mouth once again.
"I'm getting a huge sense of deja vu," Steve chuckled as he leaned back in his seat, "Go on, kid. Give it a try," he encouraged you.
"Oh, this I gotta see," Bucky laughed as he folded his arms and stood behind you, waiting for you to pick up Mjölnir.
"I'll do it as long as everyone else tries," you decided.
Steve shrugged, "I mean, I don't need to try."
"What? Why?" you questioned, slightly confused.
"Steve has already proved to be worthy," Tony said as he approached.
"Really?" shock laced your words.
"Yup," Steve smirked towards you.
Jane placed a comforting hand on your shoulder, "Come on. Give it a shot."
Of course, you couldn't say no.
That obviously didn't go well.
Everyone started to laugh as each Avenger took turns to try and pick up Mjölnir. Clint, Tony, Bucky- Even Natasha and Sam came over to have a go. The final Avenger to take the stand was Steve, and of course he picked it up with ease, "Still not used to that feeling," he chuckled before handing it back to Jane.
"Maybe one day, guys!" Jane smirked before taking a sip of her drink.
The people around you started to chat, that was when you cocked your head and spoke to Jane, "Sooo..." you took a seat in between Jane and Clint, "You go by Thor. But... Thor also goes by Thor. Right?"
"Yes?"
"So what happens when you're both in the same room? What do people call Thor?"
"Thor."
"And what do people call you?"
"Thor."
Confusion. Nothing but confusion.
"You've lost me," you held your head in your hands.
"Just call her Jane," Clint nudged your shoulder with a smile on his lips.
Jane glared at you and him, "Call me Mighty Thor at least."
Holding your hands up in defence and looking back up at her, you replied, "Okay, okay. Mighty Thor, it is," a laugh escaped you. This was the first time you had had a proper conversation with Jane since being here. You had exchanged hellos here and there, but nothing too concrete.
A much as you were enjoying the company of a number of different Avengers you still glanced around the room, hoping to find a certain witch.
Your eyes quickly locked onto her. She was sitting down by the bar, a pained expression crossing her face as she slowly drank from her cup. She occasionally glared towards Jane who was still seated next to you. Your senses tingled slightly at the sight. You excused yourself before standing.
You pointed your wrists up towards the ceiling and latched on, pulling yourself up.
"I swear, if I find any footprints up there!" Tony exclaimed from below.
"No promises!" you called back with a laugh as you crawled along the ceiling.
Wanda couldn't stop the smile from appearing on her face as she watched you lower yourself down next to her, "Nice of you to swing by," she said as you took a seat next to her.
You laughed at her attempt of a joke, "I sensed that something was up. Just wanted to make sure you were okay."
Her smile turned sad before she turned to lean her arms down against the bar, turning her glass in her hands, "It's my ankle. Again. I hoped that my magic would help heal it. I'm just slightly worried that it won't."
"With or without magic, it will heal on its own," you did your best to reassure her.
"I know... I just would've liked to be back out there on the field sooner."
"Oh?" you wondered, "Any particular reason?"
She sighed heavily, taking another gulp of her drink, "I... Did some things I'm not proud of. I've been doing my best to go out there on every possible mission to try and help as many people as I can to hopefully make up for the things I did. I hate just sitting here and doing nothing, I have to be out there as soon as possible to continue making up for my mistakes."
"Sounds like you're being a bit too hard on yourself, Wanda."
"If you knew the things that I did..." she muttered.
"I'd still support you," you reassured, "You deserve a break here and there. You'll be back on your feet in no time, though. Just gotta get as much rest in as you can for now," you placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and squeezed it slightly.
Wanda downed the rest of her drink in response, "I also wanted to get back out there so... So I could go on patrols with you."
You dropped your hand before letting out a shaky breath, "With me?" your turned your head away slightly, as if you were trying to hide your blush despite having a mask.
"I'm so grateful that you saved me, Noir. I want to be with you as much as possible so I can return the favour."
"I would do it again, Wanda," you shook your head, "You don't need to return the favour at all. I wasn't just going to leave you there."
"I still remain thankful. You deserve to have someone watching your back at all times."
You let out a small laugh, "You're welcome, Wanda," your voice was soft.
A peaceful atmosphere surrounded you and Wanda. You drank together, with you lifting your mask up every now and then to take a sip. You missed the subtle glances that Wanda took towards your lips, she hoped that she would find out who you were one day. The two of you joked together, a couple other Avengers came and went - joining in with your conversation. They were happily welcomed by the two of you.
“Y/N even said she would speak to Steve and Sam about letting us go out together. I hope she can get through to them.
You couldn’t help but bite your lip.
"We have to go back to training again. I miss those first few weeks with you... a-and Peter," you admitted.
"But you've already come so far?" Wanda questioned, "You've already mastered your powers by the looks of things."
"Couldn't hurt to have another session anyways?"
Wanda wasn't able to resist, "No. I guess not. Once this thing has healed up," she nodded down towards her ankle, "I'll ask Peter to join us."
"Or... We could just train together?"
"J-Just the two of us?" Wanda's voice was barely a whisper.
"Yeah! I-If you'd like that of course! We can have Peter join if that's too uncomfortable-"
"No, it's fine!" she quickly replied, "I... I would like to train with you."
"You would make a worthy opponent," you nudged her, "Don't you dare hold back."
Wanda smirked, her trademark head tilt made your body stiffen, "Careful what you wish for."
You couldn't wait until her foot healed.
Tumblr media
Wanda had reluctantly let you go off to talk to some of the others before the night was officially over. She couldn't help but tense up as she watched a certain someone approach you.
"Well well well..." a voice behind you caught your attention, "If it isn't the one and only Spider Noir."
Your jaw almost dropped to the floor as you finally saw who it was, "D-Doctor Strange, sir!" you hadn't met him yet due to classified business that he and his partner 'Clea' had been getting up to. You firmly took his hand and shook it, "It's a pleasure meeting you, honestly. I've heard so much about you."
He chuckled at your greeting, "It's a pleasure to meet you, too. I'm quite impressed with how you've been handling things around here. According to the other Avengers, you've been doing well."
"Th-Thanks!" you exclaimed before finally let his hand go. Before you could get another word in, someone else interrupted.
"Stephen!" a girl shouted, clearly excited as she approached, "You're back! I'm kind of offended that you didn't call," she smirked, folding her arms.
"I only just got back, kiddo," he smiled down at her before he looked back towards you, "Oh! Spider Noir, this is America Chavez. She can erm... Travel the multiverse."
"By choice?" you questioned, slightly shocked, "That's... pretty cool."
America shrugged, "It's okay, I guess."
"'Okay'?!" you scoffed, "Anyone would kill to have powers like that." Unbeknownst to you, Wanda was listening in - a shiver ran down her spine as she heard your words.
The girl laughed, "Yeah, you're right. It's pretty awesome," she then held out her hand, "It's nice to meet you... Sorry, who are you, again?"
"Everyone has seemed to adopt the name 'Noir' for me so... Call me that, or whatever you feel like," you shook her hand, "And I'm already doing a much better job at keeping my identity a secret unlike another certain spider!" you raised your voice slightly, catching the attention of Peter Parker.
"Hey!" he called over, "I-It's not my fault!"
You and America smiled before releasing each other's hands.
"I'm yet again impressed with how well you're handling this secret identity business," Stephen nodded.
The three of you talked, enjoying each other's company. You briefly glanced towards Wanda every now and then. The final time you looked at her, the red glow within her eyes caught your attention.
The get together was going swimmingly, everyone was having a good time just chatting amongst themselves. But in the corner of the room, a certain darkness loomed. Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, was tensing her body as her eyes caught yours.
Stephen and America seemed to notice the shift of tension too, "Has Wanda been okay since I left?" the sorcerer asked America.
"Y-Yeah," she gulped in response, quickly averting her gaze away from the witch.
"What?" you suddenly asked, "Did something happen, or...?"
The other two gave eachother a concerned glance, "I don't think it's right for us to speak of this," Stephen admitted. A certain sadness glossed over his eyes as he briefly looked towards Wanda, "Lets just say, the three of us didn't exactly have the best encounter when I was last here."
"If it's any consolation, she's been doing great since I've been here. What with her saving the city time and time again," you stuck up for her in an instant, despite not knowing the true destruction she had created in the past.
"I don't doubt that she has grown and become a great help to this team. But it still doesn't make up for the pain she caused to numerous amounts of people, America included," Stephen was clearly agitated by the thoughts within his head.
You held up your hands in defence, "Okay. Sorry for prying. I just... It's hard to even imagine Wanda causing any sort of damage, and yet you say different..."
"Don't let us change how you think of her," America quickly inputted, "Please? It's nice to know that she has someone who cares about her."
"Wh-What? Cares?" you questioned.
The girl shrugged, "Yeah. I get that you care about your girlfriend so don't let us stop you-"
"G-Girlfriend?!" you questioned yet again, "Y-You're mistaken, America!" a nervous laugh escaped you.
"Ohhhh..." America laughed, "Okay. I get that you care about your soon-to-be-girlfriend, then."
"And on that note, I'm leaving," you scoffed as you felt the familiar burn of blush cross your cheeks, you headed away before calling over your shoulder, "It was nice to meet you both!"
Stephen couldn't help but laugh along with the young girl.

Wanda's breathing was laboured.
"And I'm already doing a much better job at keeping my identity a secret unlike another certain spider!"
"Anyone would kill to have powers like that."
She wished that she knew who you were. You had already wiggled your way into her heart and there was no way you would be leaving it anytime soon. The determination to keep your identity a secret is what drew her in to begin with, she made it her mission to find out who you truly were. And that had slowly turned into something more. Despite the constant noise and whispers in her head telling her that you didn't care about her, she still held onto a sliver of hope. Anything to keep her grounded.
When she knocked you out of the sky a little too harshly, her head had been sent into a frenzy. Thoughts of her losing control in the past and hurting America and others across the multiverse surfaced once again.
That was when her fist clenched hard around her glass as she looked through the corner of her eye towards you.
And Stephen Strange.
And America Chavez.
The girl she did indeed try to kill for her powers.
When she knocked you out of the sky a little too harshly, her head had been sent into a frenzy. Thoughts of her losing control in the past and hurting America and others across the multiverse surfaced once again.
Despite trying to block out what you and the others were saying, she couldn't stop herself from listening in the end.
Of course Wanda still had 'dreams' about her other selves and her children. But the Avengers had welcomed her back to her surprise, and now she was on the path to becoming better and learning from her mistakes. She still donned the Scarlet Witch persona whilst out on the battlefield, however.
Upon meeting you, the 'dreams' had slowly died down. She thought that it was perhaps she was losing her focus on what she originally wanted... A new want was slowly surfacing within her.
"I get that you care about your soon-to-be-girlfriend, then."
Wanda almost laughed at that comment, but then she remembered that it was America Chavez who said it. The poor girl who she had most likely traumatized for life. The poor girl who she would forever be sorry towards.
"Hey there, little witch," you quickly came into view, "Everything alright over here? Your eyes were doing that freaky glowy thingy."
Wanda shook her head, her eyes returned to their normal color in no time, "Ah, yes. Just deep in thought, I suppose," she made up a quick lie, it was clearly effective against you.
"Good, good," you nodded.
That was when Wanda remained silent, she tapped her glass on the bar causing a bartender to head over and fill it for her. The woman downed it in one go.
You weren't about to question whether or not she was actually okay. But by the looks of things, she definitely wasn't.
There was still quite a lot you didn't know about the Scarlet Witch, it seemed. But you sure as hell wanted to find out.

When the spacecraft landed at the compound, thanks to Carol, you all scrambled to see who or what it was. You prayed to every God you knew that Stephen was somehow, someway, on board. That he had come back to you. Knowing that Tony and Peter had been with him when that creature, that thing took him.
Your heart shattered even further when you saw Tony near death stumble out. No one else followed except for Nebula. You knew deep down Stephen wouldn't be there. You already knew he was gone.
Nat and Steve were the ones who stayed outside with you as you sobbed and wailed. One hand on your pregnant belly, the other over your chest clutching at the cassum where your heart had once been. Nat rocking you back and forth, trying to calm you down and slow your breathing. Steve simply trying to keep you upright and holding your hair when your sobbing inevitably turned to dry heaving.
You don't remember how you got back inside. The next thing you remember was Tony having a little breakdown of his own. Understandably. You were swaddled in blankets staring blankly at the table. They had hooked both you and Tony up to IV drips. His anger didn't even phase you. Perhaps because it felt like an outlet for your own.
You vaguely remember Tony saying that Stephen gave up the time stone when Thanos threatened your life and the life of your unborn child. Stephen's son. You had only found out you were having a little boy a few days before Bruce crashed through the Sanctum's ceiling. It went from being the best week of your life to being the worst week of your life.
He said that Thanos threatened to find and torture you in front of him if Stephen didn't surrender the stone. That for the first time during the fight, he saw fear on Stephen's face. He knew Thanos would keep his word. So he did what he had to to save you and your son. Not knowing or not caring that Thanos' snap may as well have blipped you, too. Tony said that the last words Stephen said were, "There was no other way."
You were sure part of your soul turned to ash at the same time Stephen did. Even though you were safely ensconced in the Wakandan palace, you still felt it as if you had seen it with your own eyes. It was like someone had reached into your chest and pulled out your heart. You had stayed near catatonic on the trip back to regroup at the compound with all of the heroes who remained.
Since then, Nat had not let you out of her sight. Bruce and Steve were never far behind. Rhodey constantly brought you food and water, even though you refused to touch most of it. Pepper did what she could, but since Tony was in such bad shape, you couldn't blame her for focusing on him. Even Nebula and Rocket took turns sitting with you in those first few weeks.
You felt like a mental patient under constant observation for fear you would hurt yourself. Maybe that's what you were. Maybe that's why they didn't want to leave Tony and Thor alone for long either. Tony still had a long recovery ahead, and Thor already appeared to be spiraling into deep depression.
For a long time, you refused to speak to Wong directly. It hurt too much. The first words you spoke to him were to tell him that you couldn't go back to the Sanctum. He understood what you couldn't say out loud, so he let you keep your distance. Telling you that all you had to evet so was call and he would be there. Guarding over the Sanctum and the home you and Stephen had been building together. Promising to leave everything untouched unless you said otherwise.
For the next few months, the world around you felt like it was on fast forward. Perhaps it was just that you were moving in slow motion. You ate only when someone forced you to. Walked around the outside of the compound, but you had no interest in leaving the grounds. Preferring to spend most of your time curled up in bed, in the generic blank walled bedroom they gave you at the compound. You took care of yourself just enough to make sure your son would be born healthy, and he was.
A thick head of dark brown hair and bright blue eyes that matched Stephen's. You nearly gave him up for adoption because how could you care for and love this perfect little being when it hurt so badly to even just look at him? You couldn't though. You could never give up your one remaining tether to your husband. To Stephen. Instead, you sunk every ounce of energy you had into caring for him.
Your perfect little Vincent. The only silver lining you could find in a world without the man you loved. The reason you made yourself keep going. His sweet little smile was what kept you alive.
One by one, the remaining Avengers and Guardians started to leave. Rhodey had to help keep the US government and military functioning. Ayo literally had a whole country to run. Carol, Nebula, and Rocket were busy trying to keep other planets from falling apart. Pepper and Tony pretty much dropped off the grid during Tony's recovery. Val took over the responsibilities of New Asgard as Thor continued his own struggles, taking his solace in food and alcohol. Bruce left to try and find a way to peacefully coexist with the big green guy. Wong fell into the role of Sorcerer Supreme, putting the Kamar-Taj and the rest of the mystical arts power structure back into a working order.
--------------------------------
Eventually it was basically just Nat, Steve, you, and little Vincent. Nat was absolutely smitten with your little man. Stealing him away any chance she got, and encouraging you to focus on yourself. That it would be better for both you and Vincent, who she had taken to calling Vinny, if you found ways to take care of yourself too. Both mentally and physically.
To pacify her, you agreed. Starting small with things you always used to love. Taking nice long baths or showers. Indulging in body care and fragrances that didn't smell like a mix of baby powder and lavender. You started reading books again that didn't have pictures or a rhyme scheme to them. Quickly working through everything in the compound.
Soon your favorite thing to do was to have Steve take you into the city to visit your favorite little used bookstore, which was luckily still there. You went with Nat a couple times too, but going with Steve always felt better. Something about the white noise of his bike mixed with the wind whipping past you or the soothing sounds of 40's music in his car. Showing him you favorite books and ones that you thought he needed to read. He was content to just quietly wander through the shelves with you,
Nat was always trying to get you further out of your shell. Like you were her own little pet project. Trying to get you to go to lunch after or go shopping for clothes. She even pitched going lingerie shopping one day. You practically ran back to the compound on foot after that. You were nowhere near ready for that. To be or be seen as a sexual or sensual being again. To move on. Your heart still belonged to and longed for Stephen. Even after it had been years. You still wore your wedding rings for Christ sake.
At night, you still even dreamed of him. Almost every night, Stephen would find you. You didn't know where you were, but the landscape was barren and cold until Stephen would use his magic to cast an image of one of your favorite places. The park near the Sanctum or even the rooftop of the old building. The two of you reminiscing about the times you snuck up there to get away from everything, listening to the sounds of the city. A moment of fleeting happiness in those dreams only to wake up to the cold reality that he was gone and that you had to go on without him. You hated your own mind for torturing you with such vivid dreams.
That was another reason you liked being with Steve on your outings. He didn't treat you like just a mom, but he never pressured you to try to move on. He certainly hadn't either, despite what he told everyone else. You could see it in his eyes. You both simply chose to exist in that moment. No talk of the future or the past. Eventually, you two did start staying out together longer. Expanding your adventures to include things like walks in the park, museums, an occasional movie, and meals.
It was even with Steve that you decided it was time to pick up some of your stuff from the Sanctum. You didn't get much. Some of the things you had bought for Vincent before he was born, some of your clothes and toiletries, and a few photos of you and Stephen that you wanted Vincent to have. You wanted him to know his father, even if you weren't ready to talk about him much. Other than say how much Stephen would have adored him.
By the time you left, you were shaking like a leaf, even though you ran out of tears to cry a long time ago. After piling everything into the trunk of his car, Steve assumed you would want to go right home. Instead, you wanted to get drunk, telling him to go to the little Mexican restaurant you two frequented. Taking your normal table in the corner of the patio. It was a great spot for people watching.
Luckily, Steve talked you into stopping after two margaritas and a shot of tequila. Also making sure you ate plenty to absorb the alcohol. You were actually feeling better by the time you went to leave. Still telling Steve to take the long way back to the compound.
"Can I take you somewhere I really like to go? When I just want quiet or want to think?"
"Sure, Steve. Quiet sounds nice. I love Vincent so much, but he reminds me so much of Stephen. I don't know that I'm quite ready for that. I'll just shoot Nat a text saying she's in charge of bedtime."
You ended up parked out in the most beautiful field at the edge of an apple orchard. As soon as you got out of the car, the sweet scent of the ripening fruit enveloped you. Paired with the remaining heat from the sun sitting low on the horizon and the cool breeze slowly moving in, it felt perfect. It was breathtaking.
Your breath hitched a little when Steve's hands found his way to your hips as he helped you climb up on the hood of the sports car. Finding yourself extra self-concious when you turned to get comfy and inevitably ended up with your ass in his face. Noticing the blush you both wore when he went around to the other side and effortlessly pulled himself up next to you.
He quickly folded up his leather jacket to place under your head. Holding it in place until you were laid back and settled before following you and laying down beside you. His strong arm pressed against you, the warmth of his body radiating off of him. The scent from his jacket, the leather mixed with his cologne, filling your nostrils. Suddenly, you felt drunker on Steve than even the tequila had made you feel.
He noticed you shiver and the goosebumps forming on your arms. Without even thinking, he put one arm around you and pulled you so your head was resting on his shoulder. Moving his jacket so it draped over the two of you like a blanket. You fought the urge to bury your nose into his neck.
Had he always smelled so intoxicating?
Suddenly, you were feeling things you hadn't felt in literal years. Your body felt nearly electric. Even on those nights when you couldn't sleep and tried to sate an itch that you wanted to deny still existed, or when you dreamed of the passion filled nights you spent with Stephen, it didn't feel like this. It didn't feel like hunger. Like you were starving only to be plopped down in front of a big juicy Thanksgiving feast. It was too much and nowhere near enough.
You felt Steve's heart start to race as his enhanced sense of smell began to pick up what was surely the scent of your growing arousal. As the sun sank lower in the sky and the sound of crickets grew louder, the tension between you continued to grow thicker.  In a moment of bravery, you let your hand come to rest on Steve's abdomen. He let his hand that was wrapped around you start drawing shapes on your hip.
You both knew you had reached the point of no return when his movements caused the shirt you were wearing to rise, and his fingers finally made contact with your bare skin. Your head tilted upward against his jaw as a needy moan feel from your lips as they pressed gently against his neck. Your teasing breath illiciting a hungry growl from the captain.
Time seemed to slow as he tilted his head down and gazed into your eyes. Seeming to seek confirmation that this wasn't in his head or that you weren't just drunk beyond all reason. The haze of lust in your eyes pushed him to place his lips softly over yours. It was comforting and sweet, and oh so different from the way Stephen used to kiss you.
That was the reason why you deepened the kiss. Letting your tongue lick across Steve's lips until he reflexively thrust his tongue into your mouth. For the first time since Stephen left, you weren't thinking about how his touch or his kiss used to feel. How much you missed everything about him. You were relishing in the unfamiliar. You stopped thinking and let yourself be taken.
Pulling Steve's large form on top of yours and spreading your legs so he could slot his hips between them. Arching your body up into his at the way his weight felt on top of you. It felt so good. You couldn't stop yourself from wrapping your legs around his legs and dragging your fingernails down his back until you got to his ass. Digging your fingers into his flesh and pulling his pelvis to grind against you.
The feel of his bulge grinding against you making you hungrier for him. You quickly reached up and moved to pull your shirt off. Finally getting your first good look at Steve's face after throwing your shirt to the side. Strands of his dark blonde hair falling forward into his now clouded blue eyes. His cheeks were flushed, and his lips swollen.
"God, you look so beautiful. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about this. I like being with you. Are you sure you want this? I don't want to pressure you."
It was sweet, and you were very happy that Steve cared about your feelings and your wants. You liked being with him, too. Right now, though, you didn't want to think. You just wanted to feel. You desperately wanted to feel something good. If that good feeling was having Captain America pound you stupid on the hood of his car, then so be it. You would deal with the consequences afterward.
You quickly began unbuttoning his shirt as you spoke. Looking into his pretty blue eyes only for a moment before focusing again in the expanse of his bare chest coming into view. All smooth skin and a few freckles against thick muscle.
"Just don't talk, Steve, just touch me, please. I just need you to touch me and kiss me. Okay? Right now, I just need you to take off your pants. Talk later."
He hesitated for a minute, then gave in. Nodding quickly and whispering, "Okay. Okay." Moving to unbutton and unzip his own jeans before moving over to yours as you pushed his shirt back off of his strong shoulders. Dragging your nails back down his newly bare chest before reaching back and bracing yourself on the cool metal of the car hood to help him lift your hips so he could shimmy your own pants down.
The heat of Steve's gaze ratcheting up even more now that you were down to just your bra and panties. You didn't feel self-conscious or focus on the flaws you always saw in the mirror. For the first time since Stephen, you felt beautiful in someone else's eyes. Steve was seeing you bor just as a mother. Not just as a friend, but as a woman.
Steve descended back on you with the same hunger you showed him. Quickly tearing apart the rest of your clothing and exposing your most intimate places. His eyes darkened and a deep groan came from his chest. Before either of you could speak you wrapped your arms around his waist and pulled him down to kiss you. Both of you letting yourself succumb to your desires.
Your hands slowly moved to his hips, catching both his jeans and his boxer briefs and pushing them down in one go. Finally feeling Steve completely bare against you. Skin on skin. The weight of his big thick cock sliding against your wet cunt making you needy.
You needed to feel him inside you. Needed to feel that delicious stretch. His fingers toying with your nipples already had you starting to tingle. It had been so long, and you didn't realize how much you missed being touched and kissed. How much you missed the feeling of being well fucked.
That's exactly what Steve Rogers made sure you were that night. Not stopping until he had made you cum at least 3 times before you went home to the compound. Of course you were so sensitive that he had you cumming with his first full thrust into you.
By the time the sun was starting to rise, you and Steve had been at it for hours before finally succumbing to a few hours of sleep in each other's arms. Your alarm, thankfully, making sure you still woke up before Vincent. Until you figured out whether this was a one-time thing you didn't want to get him involved. As far as he needed to know, Uncle Steve was still just Uncle Steve.
However, by the time the next evening rolled around, after showing Vincent all the photos and things you had picked up from the Sanctum, you hated yourself for what you had done. Even if he was gone, you still felt like you betrayed Stephen. So why did you want to do it again if you felt so terrible? Why was it all you could think of that night when you tried to sleep? Or what you found yourself daydreaming about it the shower?
You still loved Stephen with all of your heart and would give anything to have him back, but Steve had reawakened a part of you thought had died with Stephen. Up until that day, you had never even fantasized about anyone else. Just Stephen. It had been years since the blip. You had been pregnant when you lost Stephen. Now you had a dark-haired little toddler running around. He adored his Auntie Nat and Uncle Steve. He was happy even if he didn't have his real father.
You wanted him to have a fully rounded life, and now that he was almost 5, it wouldn't hurt for him to have a father figure. To see his mother happy and loved. There would never be another Stephen, but maybe you could be happy with Steve. Stephen would want you to be happy, right? Maybe you could be a little family unit together. Even though your whole heart could never belong to Steve, you could give him part of it. Maybe that was all you could ask for.
You found yourself confiding in Nat. Needing to share the guilt you felt and hear everything you were thinking said out loud. Of course, you would take into account whatever advice she had to offer, but it was more that you desperately needed to share the thoughts that were eating at you.
After spilling everything, you noticed her face was unchanged. Your brows furrowed as you saw the mischievous glint in her eyes and her biting at her bottom lip to keep from smiling. As you figured out exactly why she was holding back a grin, you buried your face in your hands.
"Ugh… Steve already told you we slept together, didn't he?"
A snort came from the redhead, well half redhead half blonde. Already confirming your suspicions.
"I caught him sneaking out of your bedroom the other day, and you know how terrible he is at lying. It wasn't exactly hard to connect the dots."
Her smile faded when she saw the tears forming in your eyes. She came over to where you were sitting and pulled you into a tight hug. Starting to rock you back and forth when she heard your soft cries.
"I know how much you still love Stephen, and so does Steve. He's not expecting you to just forget about him. He knows how important he was to you. Stephen knew how much you loved him, and he would want you to feel love even without him. For yourself just as much as for Vincent. He wouldn't have sacrificed himself if he didn't. We all lost people, and we are all still hurting, but you deserve good things in your life. You deserve to feel happy and even find love again. Whether or not that is with Steve is between the two of you. You can't keep punishing yourself for what happened. None of us can. Maybe we all just need to finally move on. "
You both sat in silence, holding each other close. Thanking the powers that be that even after losing the love of your life, you had found a best friend to help keep you sane. Both of you slowly sinking to the edge of sleep, drifting between the present world and the dreamworld where Stephen still visited you. Only for you to be snapped awake by the sound of knocking and a vaguely familiar voice.
You cracked one eye open and found the security camera for the front door to be the cause of the disturbance. What you saw made your heart jump into your throat. Sticking his face right up into the camera was a man you knew only from his picture, the one that was displayed on the same board as Stephen's after the snap. It was the face of Scott Lang, who had supposedly been blipped 5 years ago along with the others.
Without looking away from the screen you shook Nat awake. Sure that if you looked away from the screen he would disappear, either as a figment of your own imagination or a hallucination. You couldn't even form words to communicate properly until Nat realized what you were seeing.
"Oh my god! Is that… Scott?"
"Nat, is that live? That's not video, right? How is that real?"
She bolted up from the couch and over to the monitors. Double checking the feed to make sure it was, in fact, live and that everything checked out. Making sure she followed all safety protocols before opening the door.
"I have no idea, but go get Steve, and you may want to put some coffee on. If this is real, it's gonna be a long night."
--------------------------------
Vincent loved having Scott there, and Scott was great with him. Showing him all sorts of card tricks and close-up magic. He was almost more goofy, big brother than anything. Even as the rest of the group started to trickle back into the compound, brought back together by Scott's time heist plan, Scott was still the cool one. With the exception of Rocket, because even close-up magic can't beat talking raccoon.
You listened from the dining area at your son and his new friends gathered in the living room. All eyes on the toddler as he colored. Various coloring books and crayons scattered on the table being used by Scott, Rocket, Bruce, and Nebula. You and Steve were busy setting out plates and silverware while Nat and Clint had begun retrieving enough take out food to feed an army. Thor was asleep on the couch.
"Mommy says my daddy could do magic. He's not here to show me though, he disappeared with lots of other people. Maybe you and my uncle Wong could teach me how to do magic, and I can bring them all back? Then mommy won't be sad anymore."
You could see Scott glance at you over Vincent's shoulder. Trying not to draw attention to the fact that he knew you were listening. The tears quickly blurred your vision before you moved to wipe them away. Scott didn't want to overstep his boundaries, not having known you or Vincent very long, but he knew he needed to say something to comfort the boy. He continued before Scott could say anything.
"I know mommy has me and Auntie Nat and Uncle Steve. She says her and Uncle Steve are special friends now, and sometimes he stays with her at night, but I know she still misses Daddy. Sometimes at night I hear her crying and it makes me sad that she's sad. I want to help make her feel better. Plus, I wanna meet Daddy. He sounds really cool."
Well now that your son had outed you and Steve to all of the other Avengers in the room. You felt very much on display, like an exposed raw nerve. No one wanting to make eye contact with you except Steve and Nat. All feeling a little guilty at having left you knowing now that you still cried yourself to sleep most nights, at least the ones you weren't taking solace in Captain America's arms.
From the living room once more, you catch Scott trying to communicate silently with you. After some eyebrow wiggles and hand gestures, you figured out he wants to tell Vincent about the time heist plan. You assume not everything as Vincent is only 4, but just the fact that they have a plan to try. You figure what the hell, he's bound to notice all the commotion starting around the compoundanyways.
Maybe it would be best to tell him, especially since it had already been decided the two of you would go to the Sanctum while the heist and ensuing fight was happening. It would be the safest place physically for you to be. Even if mentally, you weren't so sure. If it worked and Stephen did come back, you would have a lot less to explain. If it didn't work though, would your son's heart be broken just like yours? You weren't sure you could handle that.
After a few more seconds of thinking, you give Scott a little nod. Giving him the go-ahead to share the plan with Vincent. Who is he gonna tell anyway?
"Can you keep a secret? It's an Avengers only secret. So if I tell you it means you're an official Avenger, okay? We have a plan to try and bring everyone back, but we need someone to make sure your mom stays safe while we do. So maybe we can put you in charge of protecting your mom for us? Nat says she's always getting into trouble, and we have to make sure to keep her safe for your dad. Plus, I wanna meet your dad too. He does sound cool. If he's anything like you, then he'll be really cool."
"I've met him. Not that cool. Right Banner? Now, what's this you were saying about your mom and uncle Steve?"
Tony Stark was always one to make an entrance, Rhodey not far behind him, and ultimately you were happy to have his sarcasm change the energy in the room back to a more playful one. Tony tilted his sunglasses down and gave your son a little 6 show him he was teasing. The same look he always gave Steve when he was giving him shit, which he had managed to do oh so quickly. Your son's giggle breaking the tense air around you as Tony clutched his chest and exaggeratedly gasped at the scandalous reveal.
You had to laugh at the way Steve rolled his eyes. You knew he wasn't one to kiss and tell, let alone when you were still another man's wife. Even if that other man had been blipped years ago by a mad titan. You weren't officially a thing, but you weren't not a thing either. Truthfully, you both had yet to figure out exactly what you were for each other.
You were surprised when you felt a hand on your shoulder and looked ovet to see Clint. A shell of who he had been. Deep black circles under his eyes, a mohawk, and a plethora of new tattoos. Having lost his wife and his kids you knew he had struggled to make it this far. He offered you a tight lipped half smile. A smile that said I know your pain, and in the case you knew that he really did know.
"I know it's not exactly the same, but speaking as someone who also lost a spouse you still seem to handling it much better than me. I know everyone lost people, but you really got a raw deal. You're doing a great job, mom."
You hadn't realized Nebula had left the living room until she chimed in as well. Her monotone voice doing nothing to hide her feelings as she spoke.
"He is right. You are a good mother. Even if his father is dead. He is happy and loved. That's all I ever wanted… to be loved."
You knew she meant it nicer than it sounded. She was just very blunt. You wanted to say something back to her. To tell her that she is loved. You wanted to hug her, but knew that probably wasn't the best thing. Instead settling for reaching out to put your hand on hers as she went to grab a plate. Her breath hitching and her body jumping lightly at even that friendly gesture.
You squeezed her hand in yours and gave her a little smile and a nod whispering a silent thank you. Letting go before she had the chance to return the nod, not wanting to pressure her into responding further. Your smile growing when a soft "You are welcome" fell from her lips. Excusing yourself so you could go get Vincent as well as wake up Thor, and she could start plating her food.
After everyone got their food and the plotting of how and where to find all the infinity stones began, you and Vincent began planning for your own adventure. Packing all that you would need for an extended stay at the Sanctum. Making sure you had everything important accounted for. The time heist and potential following battle could go any number of ways, you and Vincent had to be prepared for anything. No matter what happened.
So you packed your belongings and started the process of moving yourselves back to the place that for years had been your home. The Sanctum Sanctorum. Now, it just felt haunted and empty. Moving yourself and Vincent into new bedrooms and not daring to even open the door to the master bedroom you and Stephen once shared.
Vincent was enjoying helping build the time machine however he could. Even just carrying tools or supervising. The time passed quicker than you would have hoped, and before long, the big day was staring down at you. Wong had made sure you were all settled in by then.
You and Steve had spent what, if all went according to plan, would be your final night together. He promised you that they would succeed, whatever it took. They would set the world right. That they would do it for you and for Vincent.
It would be your job to throw the switches and start the time machine that would scatter the Avengers throughout time and across all corners of the universe. Then Wong would take you and Vincent to the Sanctum before leaving to gather the forces of the Kamar-Taj and the other Sanctums.
One by one all of them gave Vincent a high five, a fist bump, or a hug as they climbed up onto the platform. Nat was the last one up, other than Bruce who checked all the settings one last time.
You noticed an odd look in her eyes as she hugged you so tight you could hardly breathe. From the corner of your eye, you saw her slip two sealed envelopes into Vincent's Captain America backpack. Kneeling down at eye level and making him promise to keep you safe. Telling him how proud she was of him before kissing the top of his head and joining the others.
After Steve finished his signature Captain America speech, you told Vincent to go stand back on the other side of the room with Wong. To make sure if anything went wrong, he would be protected. Starting your countdown once he was at a safe distance.
"Three… two… one… God speed."
As soon as the shockwave had cleared and all of them had disappeared, you checked the machine's settings against the paper Bruce and Scott had given you. Making sure everything looked stable and the platform was ready for their return. Starting the countdown clock ticking. It should only be five minutes in your time before they all returned.
Wong had already opened the portal to the Sanctum and sent Vincent through as you looked around at the Avengers compound one more time. On some level you knew that it was the last time you would see it. You didn't know what was coming next, but you knew there was no turning back now.
And so you stepped through the gold glimmering portal into the grand foyer of the Sanctum Sanctorum. Once again your home. For better or for worse. Giving Wong a hug and a thank you before sending him off to ready the other sorcerers for battle.
For now, your job was just to take care of your son. The only job you had really cared about for the last five years. Taking his small hand in yours and leading him into the dining room. While the others searched for the stones that could bring your husband back, dinner was the top priority on your list. For Vincent, you had to keep up a semblance of normalcy, even if every fiber in your body felt like it wanted to go hide under the bed.
All you could do was wait and hope…

Idiots, Total Idiots
Masterlist
A/N: VERY MINOR S4 STRANGER THINGS SPOILERS BARELY SPOILERS THO
✨✨Reblog/ comments PLEASE i love feedback ✨✨
Pairings/Characters: Steve Harrington x Reader; Dustin Henderson; Mentions: Eddie, Nancy, Robin, Billy
Warnings: swearing, smartassery
Summary: Dustin is so exhausted by this dancing around each other you and Steve are doing, yet again, during another pressing mystery of Hawkins.
Tumblr media
Dustin stared at Steve without blinking for far too long. It was unsettling, and Steve was fighting the urge to turn and smack Dustin in the face. Groaning, Steve finally put down his comb and glared at Dustin, “What, asshat!?”
“Okay. First of all, so rude and uncalled for,” Dustin said as he stared at Steve. “Secondly, you’ve been fixing your hair for the last ten minutes. For a library. Who the fuck fixes their hair for a library?”
Steve rolled his eyes as he put his comb away, “You said we needed information — “
“I mean, really, you’re going back to Douchelord Steve. That’s so Season 1 of you.”
“Season 1? Really? Of what?”
“Of your coming of age story, duh.”
“I was already of age — “
“Whatever,” Dustin shouted over him. “What are you doing? No one’s in the library except for that bitter old librarian who I think is upcharging my fees and —“ he paused as his eyes lit up in realization. He smiled, eyes half-lidded now as he stared at Steve with his big, cheesy grin. “Y/N’s new job is here.”
“No, it isn’t,” Steve scoffed, but Dustin saw through his lies. “How did you know?”
“I saw her after her guitar lesson with Eddie before Hellfire Club,” Dustin shrugged easily. “Still makes really good cookies, by the way. I mean, is she traumatized from the mall? Probably, but, like, who isn’t? Still, can’t believe you blew it like that.”
“I didn’t blow it! You can’t blow it if it never started.”
“Right and it never started because you wanted to practice dating and get out there in the world before settling down with Y/N. Like she’d even want to settle down with you, which is bold, by the way. I mean, maybe before, but now? Definitely not.”
Steve groaned, hands gripping the steering wheel tightly to help him keep from strangling Dustin, “What, she too busy with Eddie Munson?” He asked, venom dripping when he said his name.
“Oh, my god, you’re so sad,” Dustin laughed in his face. “Dude. Get over yourself.”
“I’m totally over everything!”
“It’s guitar lessons you fucking freak, not sex lessons!”
“Ew, Dustin. Don’t talk about her like that — “
“She was my god damn babysitter, I get more leeway here!” Dustin scoffed and threw his hands up in the air. “Look, man. They’re just friends — “
“Why does she even need guitar lessons? Like, for what, you know —“
“Believe it or not, hobbies exist, you hair-obsessed freak,” Dustin replied. “Dude, they’re just friends —“
“You know who else she was just friends with? Billy.”
“Here we go fucking go,” Dustin leaned back in his seat while Steve bolted up and now had hands out in front of him as he spoke animatedly about your past.
“She and Billy were just friends! Billy! You know, the guy that tried to kick my ass?”
“He did kick your ass,” Dustin mumbled.
“No! I had him on the ropes, everyone knows it,” Steve replied. “But, right, yeah, her and Billy are totally just friends.”
Dustin took off his hat, looked up, begged Thor to give him strength, then scratched his head before putting his hat back on. He turned to Steve and grabbed his shoulders, “Dipshit, she tutored Billy, and that didn’t even last long. She tutored him a few times because his dad was threatening to beat his ass over his grades, and that was that. She didn’t even like him that way. And, I don’t know if you remember, but Billy kind of, oh, I don’t know, kidnapped her with the intent of feeding her to the Mind Flayer.”
“Okay—“
“And immediately she was all, ‘is Steve okay?’” he mimicked in a high-pitched voice, “Because she knew Billy hated you and she was worried about you, as told to me by Will, who also thinks you two are stupid for each other.”
“Can it, Henderson —“
“So, really, you two idiots have just been dancing around each other the entire time and wasting everybody’s breath because we keep saying you two should be together and you’re being stupid and she’s being stupid and you’re both stupid!”
“Eloquent. Are you done?”
Dustin thought for a moment before nodding, “Yes, I am. You talk to your not-girlfriend, and I’ll look for clues. I thought Nancy and Robin were doing this. Why are we—“ he stared at Steve who cleared his throat and looked down. “You are the biggest waste of resources, Harrington.”
“What!”
“We could be doing other things — “
“Oh, whatever,” Steve got out of the car and slammed the door shut. Dustin followed behind him, muttering that he was wasting precious, valuable time and energy over nothing because he wasn’t going to have the balls to talk to you, anyway.
Steve looked for you, of course, instead of asking anyone who worked there where they could find you. After wandering around, wasting time, avoiding Nancy and Robin and hiding from Dustin’s prying eyes, he finally found you. You were in the fiction section organizing Stephen King books and humming to yourself. Steve slowly made his way towards you, standing behind you and staring down, watching as you picked up the books from the floor, reorganized them quickly, and stood back up to place them on the shelf as they should be.
Turning around, you saw Steve staring at you and jumped. You started to shriek, which scared the life out of Steve who quickly looked around as he covered your mouth and pressed you against the bookshelf.
“Jesus, Y/N!” Steve whispered loudly. “You’re going to get us in trouble here. People are going to think I’m some sort of weird pervert.”
You lowered his hand and clutched your chest, “Aren’t you? Jeez, Steve, you gave me heart attack.”
“Sorry about that —“
“What are you doing here?” You asked, as you came down from your fright and looked around to see if anyone else had followed your cries to the aisle you were in. “Shouldn’t you be at work or on another date?”
He grinned, “You follow my dates, Y/N?”
You rolled your eyes, “As if, Harrington. You know people talk when you’re the slut of the town. Anyway, what do you want?”
Ouch. Slut of the town? Was that how lowly you thought of Steve? Okay. So it may have been the truth at the moment, but still! He didn’t sleep with everyone, he just went on a bunch of dates…and stuff.
Steve floundered for a moment. He could hit on you right now, ask you out on a date, leave you alone after that, but that would defeat the true purpose of being there.
Steve didn’t come to the library because he thought you could help them do research — even if it was true and that you were smart and capable of doing so, but, no. Steve didn’t want that from you. The truth was, Steve was worried. The second something fishy started happening around Hawkins for the millionth time, his first thought was you. Last time something happened, you two were separated the entire time. You had been kidnapped by Billy of all disgusting people — okay, he was possessed, but it still counts — and he wasn’t there for you. Steve wasn’t there to be your knight in shining armor, the kids were. Steve wasn’t there to keep you safe from harm. Steve wasn’t there to kick Billy’s ass for you. Steve was hopelessly and utterly helpless to keep you safe.
He couldn’t repeat that.
“It’s happening again,” Steve said quietly, head tilted down as he spoke to you. He found it hard to hold eye contact with you, because if he did, he was just going to blurt out his feelings for you. Instead, he kept his eyes on the choker you were wearing so he could keep his focus. “There was —“
“The high schooler, yeah, I heard, “You nodded once. “I thought —“
Steve shook his head, “It’s weird again, Y/N. And I just want to make sure you —“
“I don’t want to be involved, Steve. First couple of times, whatever. But after last —“
“I know,” Steve nodded quickly and grabbed your hands, holding them up and giving them a squeeze. “Trust me, I know. You deserve to be totally normal in your totally normal and not-at-all-boring job — “
“Wow — “
“ — but I would feel so much better if you were with us. I know you don’t want to be in this, but I’d feel so much better if I could keep an eye on you, rather than worry about something happening to you and I’m not there to keep you safe. Just….just let me try to keep you safe, Y/N.”
Your cheeks were burning. Steve Harrington, Grade A idiot with a heart growing to be one of gold, coming over to your place of work and saying how he wanted to keep you safe during all of this. It was sweet. It made you wonder where this was coming from. Was it from your new friendship with Steve that started when he got sucked into the drama with Dustin’s friends a little while back, or was it from the other place of shared, lingering glances, touches, and running to each other the second you saw one another during these life-changing events?”
“Steve —“
Dustin, of course, with his impeccable timing, showed up right beside the two of you. “Are you two going to kiss and get it over with so we can get the fuck out of here?”
Narrowing your eyes, you cast one look at Dustin. His own eyes widened as he quietly nodded to himself, turned, and walked out of the aisle to give you two some privacy.
Steve stared in awe, “You have to teach me that.”
“Sorry, it’s a gift,” you chuckled softly and looked up at Steve. “I’m not gonna lie, Steve. I’m really scared this time around. Things just keep getting worse.”
Steve nodded, his hands coming to rest on your shoulders, “I know, but we’ll be together, we’ll keep an eye on each other. Okay?”
Nodding slowly, you finally agreed to go with him. “Okay. I trust you.”
“Great — “
“So you want to kiss me, Harrington?”
Now was Steve’s turn to be flushed. He chuckled nervously, hand coming up to run through his hair as he looked down at you and bit his bottom lip.
Before he could speak, you did, “Is it going to be that same kiss you’ve given all your latest conquests, Sluttington?”
Steve shook his head as he stared at you and saw the mischief twinkling in your eyes, “When I kiss you, Y/N, it’ll be unlike any kiss you’ve ever had.”
“I’m concerned.”
“Don’t be. It’s not concerning at all,” Steve said as he leaned in close, lips ghosting over yours, “It’ll be mind-blowing.” He stood up tall again, took your hand, and started leading you down the aisle, “Now, come on. We’ve got a mystery to solve.”

How would the gods (thor, poseidon and hercules) react to finding out that their opponent on the ragnarok is the human reincarnation of their past lover who died(somehow)
Thor, Poseidon and Heracles reactions to their opponent being the human reincarnation of their past lover.
1. I'm using Fem pronouns since it wasn't specified.
2. I saw someone post something similar to this but I am not trying to copy it in any way possible.
3. The reader is included
4. Some will be either long and short.
Tumblr media
Thor⚡-
Thor had originally thought he was hallucinating the second he saw his opponent.
After knowing he wasn't, he was more confused. Why did you look like her, his deceased love? More importantly, why was your aura the same as her?
His question was answered when you punched his stomach.
The spark in your eyes, you held the same ones. The god of thunder was sent back. But he didn't move.
He's fully convinced his love has reincarnated as you.
To everyone's surprise, he lowered his hammer.
He's never harmed his love this way when she was alive, why do it now?
He made Heimdall cancel the match and went after you. You turned around, seeing him looking down at you. He grabbed your hand and held it tight.
•All of the memories came flooding in. Your eyes were wide with shock, both your smaller hands now cupping his hand.
"Love?" You whispered. Thor simply nodded, a small smile on his face. You quickly hugged him, laughing and crying. Thor returned the embrace, kissing your forehead.
He lost you before, and he wasn't planning on letting it happen again any time soon.
Tumblr media
Poseidon🔱-
He didn't see the point in fighting when he knew he'll win.
But that thought went away when you stepped in the arena, your face as calm as his own.
The king of the seas was shook. He knew he wasn't seeing things. You look exactly like his past lover, who had passed away thousands of years ago.
A part of him told him not to harm you, to not kill you.
And so he lowered his trident and left the arena, not caring about what the other deities had to say.
After that, you searched for the god and found him at the beach. You reluctantly approached him, lowering yourself down on your knees. You should've feared the god, but you couldn't.
You rested your hand on top of his, the physical contact both bringing back memories and got Poseidon's attention. Tears came pouring as you held his hand.
"I'm sorry for leaving you so soon." You rested your head on his shoulder. Poseidon didn't push you away and instead pulled you closer. He kept silent, the sounds of waves crashing down calming him down.
"Don't be." That was all that left his lips. For the first time after his past lover's death, he felt... Happy. Happy to be reunited with her once again, just in another way.
Tumblr media
{Art is not mine! But it looks so good!}
Heracles🦁-
He felt his heart drop the moment you stepped in.
Everything about you reminded him of his love, from your beauty to your aura.
During the fight, everyone can see how he was hesitating, not hitting you at all.
Only a few can notice the sad look on his face.
You were going in for the final strike, but was brought in an embrace that oddly felt familiar to you.
"It's been too long..." The demigod's arms tighten around your small form. This sparked a memory from long ago, where Heracles always gave you hugs when he came back from his adventures. You began to sob in his chest, hugging him back.
"I've missed you, My love." You choked out, looking into the demigod's eyes. Heracles surrendered, and carried you away in his arms.

I don't think I did them justice 😂

Note: This is from Loki's POV!!
“So what just happened?” Your friends pounced on you as soon as you got settled in your room. You tried really hard, like really hard to ignore them as you carefully undid your hairstyle and brushing out your hair.
“Whatever do you mean?” “Oh, don’t play stupid. You disappear, and then show back up looking dishevelled and flushed!”
“I was not flushed,” You argued. They all looked at each other with raised eyebrows. “Okay, fine. I don’t appreciate this at all. You’re violating me, in my own house,”
“Yes well, our dearest apologies,” One of them said, feigning sincerity. “Now, talk,”
Well, who liked secrets anyway?
*                                                               *                                                              *
The lingering question kept me up
2 AM, who do you love?
I wonder 'til I'm wide awake
Loki lay in his bed, fiddling with a dagger between his fingers as he stared at the ceiling. As soon as the party ended, he had left straight to his room, stripping out of his suddenly-too-tight suit and into much more comfortable clothing. He couldn’t get the thought of you out of his head. He hadn’t attended tonight’s ball with the expectations of anything big happening, and yet now it feels like his world got turned upside down.
And now I'm pacing back and forth
Wishing you were at my door
I'd open up and you would say, "Hey"
Would she come back, he wondered. Perhaps she changed her mind. He couldn’t stop himself from replaying every second, trying to figure out if there was anything he missed- if any second, you’d come knocking at his door. Thinking back on your entire conversation together, he couldn’t stop the smile breaking across his face.
“Thank you for the dance, your highness,” Your last words rang abruptly in his mind, immediately squashing his good mood again. He closed his fist around the hilt of the dagger and flicked it at the wall. It landed on it perfectly.
“Thank you for the dance, your highness,” The words replayed again, and again. He groaned loudly, running a hand down his face. He rolled over, burying his face in his pillow and letting out a loud groan of anger.
Before he could wallow in pain any longer, there was a knock on the door. “I asked not to be disturbed!” He shouted, but it came out muffled.
Then there was another knock.
“I swear if there is another knock I will-” “You’ll what?” Frigga’s voice came calm, yet in his mind’s eyes he could see the expression of warning on her face. He did not hear the door open, otherwise he would’ve chosen his words much more carefully. He slowly rolled onto his back, his eyes trained on the ceiling.
“Mother. I didn’t hear you come in,” “No, I doubt you did with all the wallowing you had been doing,” “I wasn’t wallowing,”
He could see her raise a perfect eyebrow from the corner of his eye. “Really?” She walked gracefully across his room, and her hand reached for the dagger stuck to the wall. She wanked it out, then turned to look at him again. “You enjoy throwing daggers at your wall as a pass time?” He nodded, still avoiding her gaze. “Absolutely,” “Don’t lie to me, boy. I know you better than you know yourself,”
He cringed. Frigga was kind, gentle, caring and loving. Everything he could ever ask for. But she did not tolerate lying.
“Sorry,” He sighed heavily. “Simply a long night,” She tutted quietly, walking over to the edge of his bed. The mattress sunk a little as she took a seat, placing his dagger on the nightstand. “Well?” “Well? What?” He frowned, resting his hands behind his head.
“Well…” She repeated. “What happened?”
He sighed. “Nothing happened. All’s well,” She didn’t offer a response, simply looked at him with a raised eyebrow until he couldn’t keep it to himself anymore. “Alright fine. I…” He sighed again. “Must I really? This feels…embarrassing,”
“Oh, I see,” Frigga nodded seriously. “I suppose now that you’ve grown, neither you or Thor see it fit to talk with your mother anymore,”
A smile spread slowly across his face. “No I didn't mean it like that,” He sat up, running a hand through his hair. “Alright, well, you know how I tend to excuse myself from celebrations, yes?” She hummed. “Yes,” “Right, well, I went out to the gardens in hopes for some peace, only I…ran into someone,” Frigga straightened a little, a smile playing at her lips. “Oh?” “Stop,” He buried his face in his hands. “Stop smiling, Mother. It’s not like I’ve gotten engaged,” “Yes but, whomever it is you met certainly got into your head if you’re this worked up,” She pointed out.
“No. No one’s gotten into my head,” He went quiet for a minute, before groaning as Frigga chuckled lightly. He threw himself back onto the pillow. Even he could hear how much of a lie that sounded. “Mother please. Is it that bad?” “No, you’re right I’m sorry. It’s not bad. But,” She suppressed the grin spreading across her face. He knew discussing this was a terrible idea. “Please, do continue,” “No, absolutely not,” He crossed his arms over his chest, ignoring the pointed look from her. He figured the more he thought about it, the worse this would get. “There’s nothing else to tell. I only talked to her to get under her skin. She was…quite agitated. But then she turned out to be amusing, and kind, and we talked, and that was it. She went home, I came back in. The end.” He wouldn’t dare mention the kiss, or the dance to his mother. He could already see her scheming just from these pieces, he refused to add to the fire. Besides, the more he thought about the kiss- the way her lips felt, the smell of her perfume, the softness of her skin, the flush of her cheeks and the way her lipstick was smeared slightly- the more dizzy he felt.
“The end? Is that way you’re so…flushed?” Frigga leaned in, pressing a hand to his cheek. “Mm, perhaps you’ve fallen ill,” He huffed. “I don’t-” He bit his lip, deciding to just play along. “Yes, maybe I have fallen ill,” “Hm,” She moved her hand away, and he knew she didn’t believe him. He knew that she was probably thinking a million things about this and going to press later. No one ever got under his skin, or so stuck in his mind, he knew his mother would not stop until she got every last detail.
His heart squeezed a little at how dearly he loved her. While feelings of envy and jealousy were often choking him, it was moments like these that reminded him that he still had Frigga. And that was what mattered, right?
Frigga looked around Loki’s room for a second before getting up from the bed. “Very well. I suppose I’ll let you rest now,” She smiled softly as she walked to the door. “Rest well,” “Mm,” Was all Loki offered. “Oh and Loki, darling-” He could hear the grin in her voice. “Don’t dwell on it too much. I’m sure you’ll see her again,”
“Good night, Mother,” He answered loudly, as if trying to block out her words and end the conversation. Frigga chuckled, and then the door closed as she left.
He grumbled to himself as he tossed and turned in bed, trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in.
This shouldn’t be bothering him.
He shouldn’t be this agitated about a few simple words.
So what, if she knew he was the prince? What did it matter?
Maybe because for once you hoped someone would like you for just you, the horrible voice in his mind let the insecurities run wild.
Maybe he would never see you again. Maybe this was a one time thing and he’d never have the pleasure to see your smile again.
Worse- maybe there would be others. Maybe there already are others. He wouldn’t jump to the conclusion that you were exclusive with anyone- how could you be, when you kissed him? But he couldn’t help thinking that maybe your heart would- or potentially already does- belong to someone else.
It’s not like he dreamt of marrying you. He felt simply…intrigued. No one had interested him as much as you had lately, and the idea that someone else had your attention disturbed him.
Loki was never one to plead, or even pray- why would he, when he was a prince, a god? Anything he wished was at his fingertips. But he couldn’t help the quiet whispers that escaped his lips, begging that there would be a chance to see you again- to enjoy your beauty and bask in your shine. That perhaps, in the near future, he’d be able to hear those witty remarks and feel your lips against his.
This is me praying that
This was the very first page
Not where the story line ends
My thoughts will echo your name, until I see you again
These are the words I held back, as I was leaving too soon
I was enchanted to meet you
He hoped and hoped and hoped that if he closed his eyes tonight and let himself sleep, it wouldn’t mean the end. And most of all, he prayed that there wasn’t anyone else. That this didn’t happen out of curiosity's sake- that the kiss wasn’t just to brag amongst friends. It’s happened one too many times, and still he could hear the whispers of past nights when he frequently realized that no one was interested in him, simply the idea of him- the title he possessed and the bragging rights that came with it.
He prayed silently. Although he wasn’t exactly sure who he was praying to. Did he even need to pray? But perhaps Freyja was listening, and perhaps she’d take pity on him- though he couldn’t be entirely convinced.
But he still did- praying and pleading quietly with the stars right outside his window and the moon shining its light into his room- hoping that you saw more in him than anyone else ever did.
Please don’t be in love with someone else
Please don’t have somebody waiting on you
Please don’t be in love with someone else
Please don’t have somebody waiting on you.
And yet, in the dark of his room, with just his mind as company, he couldn’t help but let the horrid whispers of insecurity take over his every thought until he fell asleep doubting his every thought and emotion.
*                                                                *                                                           *
Weeks passed before the royal family hosted another ball. It was a simple one, and there was truly no special occasion behind it. Loki suspected his mother caught wind of all his mopping and wallowing and hoped to fix it.
Not that it was working anyway. He didn’t want to be here. He’d much rather go back to his room and finish reading his book in peace. Instead, he was forced to put on a polite face and greet guests.
Overall, this night wasn’t going well at all. Not to mention, he still hadn’t stopped thinking about you. Every time you popped into his mind (which was more often than not) his mood instantly soured. It was safe to say he’d been in an ugly mood for a while now.
He stood in the corner of the ballroom, drink in hand and surveying the room after exchanging pleasantries for what felt like hours.
He really really wished he wasn’t here. Thor was talking his ear off- and while he loved his brother dearly, he really wished to be alone right now. Everywhere he looked he saw fleeting glances that reminded him of you. Stupid things like hair in a shade just like yours- a gown with a colour matching the one you wore that night- a laugh that sounded ju-
His head whipped around when he caught the sound of that laugh. His hand went up to shush Thor’s talking.
This wasn’t possible. There was no possible way it could be you.
And yet when his eyes found the source of the sound, his heart soared and fluttered.
This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
Suddenly, the night didn’t seem so boring. He couldn’t find it in himself to care about what Thor was asking.
He felt giddy inside, like a child experiencing the beauty of the world for the first time, and he couldn’t stop the huge smile spreading across his face. It was you. It really, truly, was you- standing right across the room, laughing with your friends. You looked breathtaking, dressed in a beautiful gown and face shining with joy.
“Oh,” Thor's loud voice brought him back. “Is that why you’ve been so gloomy?” Loki cringed at how obvious Thor made the statement. “Brother, I beg you, stop talking,” “Why?” Thor beamed. “Come now, we shall go over and say hello,” “No we won’t be doing anything,” Loki tried to argue but before he could even finish his sentence, Thor had already left Loki’s side and crossed the room to the group of ladies.
Fuck.
Whatever it was that he was saying had the girls giggling. And, as if it couldn’t get any worse, he pointed very clearly at Loki as he talked, causing the girls to turn and see him.
Fuck fuck fuck fuck.
Loki gave an awkward wave at the group. Your eyes lingered on him a little after the group turned back to listen to Thor, and he flashed you a smile. As soon as you turned back around though, he ran a hand down his face in exasperation. What was Thor thinking? Marching over there like it was nothing. Did he not realize how embarrassing this was? What was he even saying to them? What if he was telling some horrible story? He groaned internally as horrible scenario after horrible scenario played out in his mind. Was he trying to serenade them? Why were they laughing so much? Why was Thor grinning like that? Oh what if he was telling some stupid tale? Or was he making up some exaggerated lie about him? And why-
“You look like you’re trying to glare a hole through his skull,”
He jumped, turned to see you smiling softly at him. When did you even get there? Perhaps he got too distracted with plotting Thor’s death.
“Perhaps I am,” He tried to keep his voice calm, but his heart felt like it was going to pound out of his chest? Could you hear how loud it was? Why was it suddenly so quiet? All he could hear was the blood rushing in his ears. Was he breathing too loud?
Focus. He needed to focus. He’s getting too much into his head. It’s not like he was madly in love or anything- it’s a simple…interest. Yes, that was it. You simply intrigued him, nothing more. So why did his palms suddenly feel so sweaty as you grinned at him, and why was he so damn nervous? He never got nervous. His face felt like he was on fire. Was he blushing? He cursed himself mentally at least a million times.
“Your highness?” Your voice brought him out of his head.
“Sorry,” He mumbled. Stop overthinking it. And why did it bother him so damn much that you used that title? “What was that?”
“I said, what reasons would you have to drill a hole into his skull?”
Gods, you were so beautiful. How could anyone be so gorgeous? How could anyone even be allowed to be this stunning? The way your eyes shone with held back laughter, and the soft grin on your lips.
Oh good Norns, her lips.
No. No. He mentally scolded himself. Stop it.
“Well,” He acted as cool as he felt- basically, not cool at all. “Other than the fact that he’s my brother?” That got a laugh out of you. Loki: 1 Thor: 0.
When did this even turn into a competition? Then again, it really did set a fire under him when he saw how easy you were around Thor.
“Fair enough I suppose,” You shrugged.
He couldn’t stop the question from coming out. “What was Thor telling you about?”
“Oh! His Highness was just chatting,”
“Mm, chatting,” He repeated absentmindedly. You both fell silent for a few moments. “So,” You started awkwardly. “How are you enjoying the party, my prince?”
“Don’t call me that,” He said a bit too quickly- a bit too harshly.
You blinked. “Sorry? Why not? You are a prince,” He shook his head. “I apologise, that was rather rash. I just…well,” he sighed. “That night a few weeks back? It felt…nice, to be just a stranger. You made it feel nice to be a stranger with no burden, no title, no importance. Just…another man. I hope…you would be kind enough to keep it that way, between us,” he explained hesitantly.
“...I see,” You cleared your throat, and he could swear you were fighting back a chuckle. “So, what shall I refer to you as?” “Hm,” He grinned. “Loki works just fine, darling,”
“Loki,” You said hesitantly, as if testing it out and he nearly died right on the spot. “Alright,” You beamed. And then the silence came over again as you both watched people dance across the floor.
But the question still ate at him. “I can’t help but ask again- honestly, what was Thor telling you? Knowing him, it was either an exaggerated lie or the most embarrassing story in all Nine Realms,” You chuckled. “Well, he was telling us a story,” That had to be the most terrifying sentence he’s ever heard. “Really? Please, do tell,”
“Well, he was telling us this story about a really handsome fellow who’s got quite the personality. He’s kind, and charming, with gorgeous hair and really pretty eyes,”
He should just listen to the rest of the story before jumping to conclusions, but he couldn’t stop the image of Thor popping into his mind, followed by a wave of bursting fury. He had the audacity-
“And,” You continued. “Legend has it, he met a brilliant woman- or so they say- but when she left, he fell into a horrible tragic gloom. He was all frowns and grumpy and nothing could ever break through his wallowing and mopping,” He genuinely could not listen to this anymore. His chest felt like it was going to burst from pain and he tasted bile in his throat. Maybe he was falling ill. “I’ll have you know, Thor has been all beams and grins all month,”
Something passed over your face, and you bit your bottom lip. “Who’s talking about Thor?” “You said ‘handsome fellow’ and ‘charming and kind’ and ‘great hair’ or whatever-” “I told you I’m not into blonds,” You interrupted.
Now what does that have to do with anything?
“How does that relate to this conversation?”
You shook your head, shoulders shaking with laughter. How could you be laughing right now? “Okay, I’ll slow down. Prince Thor told us a brilliant story about this beautiful man, and I came to see you immediately after…” You trailed off, as if expecting him to finish the thought.
“Yes, you came to rub it into my face. Funny,” His tone went cold.
You placed a hand on his arm. “Loki, you are the gorgeous man of the story,” Oh.
And suddenly, his heart was back to pounding rapidly. “Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh I see,” In the back of his mind, he registered how similar this was to the night you met.
You chuckled. “Yeah, I’m glad you got it now,” You smiled widely, your eyes scanning the dance floor before returning to him. “Dance with me?” You repeated the same words he had said.
Oh. Oh dear Norns. His heart felt like it was gonna burst, and his face was on fire.
He nodded slowly. “Oh. Yes, absolutely,” You took his hands and walked to the center of the room just as the music began a new tone. And as cliché as it would sound, he felt everything melt away as you began to dance. It was nothing but him with you in his arms, and the sound of music. And that gorgeous, gorgeous smile of yours.
This night is flawless, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
As the song ended, he held you tighter in his arms, his cheeks aching from how hard he'd been smiling. Your face was slightly flushed, and you were a little breathless, but you looked at him with such adoration his heart squeezed.
“You, my darling,” he whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips, “are enchanting,”
I was enchanted to meet you
And although he knew guests were mumbling at the scene, he couldn’t find himself to care. What man could, when such a gorgeous woman was in his arms, grinning at him so widely?

Science BFFs
Tumblr media
Bruce Banner and Tony Stark have such beautiful friendship and I'm just tearing up everytime I see Bruce being sad about Tony in She-Hulk Ep 1.
From the moment they meet they finish each other sentences whether it be about science theories or just quips.
Tony (to Bruce when they first meet): Finally someone who speaks English.
Tumblr media
Tony is the first avenger to try to understand Hulk and show that he is not wary. In essence he accepts Hulk.
He also helps Bruce see that maybe Hulk is not all bad.
Bruce is comfortable around Tony and actually enjoys himself after being on the run for a long time.
Tumblr media
Even Bruce's subconscious(or alter-ego) recognizes their bond. So Hulk saves Tony in Avengers!
They both spend a lot of time doing science things after Avengers 1 when Bruce stays at the Stark Tower.
Tumblr media
After the mess in Iron Man 3, Tony goes to Bruce when dealing with his trauma.
We can see that Bruce is still in Stark Tower even after Iron Man 3.
Tumblr media
In Age of Ultron, Tony trust only Bruce to know about the Ultron project and asks him for help.
Of all the Avengers, Bruce is the only one who could understand what the loss of JARVIS meant for Tony.
Bruce trusts Tony to stop Hulk if things ever get out of hands, thus they build Hulkbuster together.
They have an argument after Ultron is created, but in the end they join hands when they create Vision.
Tumblr media
Tony looks for Bruce after Age of Ultron. He misses his best friend.
In Civil War, Natasha and Tony bond over missing Bruce.
In Thor Ragnarok, we see that Tony's codename for Bruce in the Quinjet is Strongest Avenger!
After Bruce wears Tony's clothes, he is hopeful that maybe even Tony is here to get him.
Tumblr media
In Infinity War, Tony is shocked to see Bruce and we can see he really missed him. Tony forgets all about his surrounding and just returns the hug.
After losing to Thanos and getting thrown in the Sanctum, Bruce doesn't know any of these people. Thus when he sees Tony he is so emotional and initiates a hug.
Tumblr media
Tony is worried when Bruce can't transform to Hulk, thus he asks Wong to send him to a different location.
Bruce has access to Tony's armour and technology, we can see him using Hulk Buster in Infinity War.
Tumblr media
In She-Hulk we can see that Bruce and Tony kept in touch during the Blip.
Tony builds a specialized lab for Bruce because he needs a safe space after all the disaster in Sakaar, Asgard and the snap.
Tony visited Bruce in his lab and they both built a bar together.
During the five years of Blip they rebuilt their friendship and Tony visited Bruce to whine about Steve.
Tumblr media
They both carve their initials on Bruce's bar table.
Tumblr media
We can actually see Bruce crying during Tony's funeral.
Tumblr media
Bruce says he is called Smart Hulk and I'm pretty sure it was Tony who gave him that name.
Bruce keeps a piece of Iron Man armour as memento for Tony.

Season 3 Episode 1
Live thoughts of the new episode tonight below the cut! Even though I've also used the tag.
8 minutes. So nervous. Why am I so attached to these ghosts??
It's just like - I haven't thought about ghosts and actively avoided spoilers so...
but now, it's here and I'm nervous.
Here's hoping that it's not my favorite!
Alright, here we go....
OMG the previously on....
LMAO Jay running to check the kitchen. Damn, Jay.
I do like this scene.
"Just a basement ghost" - LMAO. Nancy.
GO AWAY JAY.
OMG OMG is it is it - it's not Nigel. Sad.
Thor and Flower?
FUCK is it FLOWER????
AWWW.
Sass is taking this well.
Alberta & Thor such different reactions.
Nigel & Isaac only caring about their engagement party???
OMG JAY YOU"RE KILLING EVERYTHING.
Everyone is hating Pete right now. Poor Pete.
I like seeing the guys from the first few episodes of the show. LMAO A TOUR OF THE HOUSE??? They've lived there for a while.
Trevor and Sass are not great for this.
MARK I LOVE MARK.
OMG Thor's so going to get attached to the owl.
So no one actually saw Flower get sucked off? So is this a misdirect?
I feel like it just like... can't be real.
LMAO at Thor being sure that Flower is an OWL.
YES YES YES JAY PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN.
Damn it, Thor has to have the power to burn it down.
I'm still mad Jay counted Trevor not being sucked off as a loss.
LMAO this scene with the upstairs ghosts/cholera ghosts.
They should be nicer to them!
Isaac!!! DAMN YA'LL really need to be more considerate of Flower's potential loss.
LMAO Nancy being unhappy about the Cholera ghosts being upstairs.
LMAO the owl being relocated in the house.
LOL - STOP IT YOU DON'T KNOW THEM.
I really love Pete's growing a spine storyline so far - Nancy is the biggest push for that, I love it. He needs it.
Still ten minutes to go.
I'm kind of sad that they *didn't* all see it. Because I feel like they should've all known.
Tiny dinosaur??
LMAO at Sam trying not to have the guest blame the owl but it's obvious.
Aw Sam. I wish more of the ghosts showed sadness.
Hetty! OMG!
aww the cholera ghosts being all friends to flower.
Growth for Hetty - until the "not sucked off".
LOVE JAY trying to be there for Thor. This whole convo.
LOL Jay slapping his ass.
a mug shot!
LMAO the only shot. Like Trevor's shot from his obit.
Love the memorial.
OMG Isaac! FUCK OFF.
Thank you Alberta!
Aww these are so cute! I love the moments being shown here.
Aw Jay and the owl attack!
I'm still on edge.
I'm BETTTING SHE APPEARS AT THE END.
And we'll find out it was Steph's boyfriend.
Just the tail end left.
One minute - they'll turn it around.
Although that would be SUCH a copout.
LMAO Jay is like whispering bad things to the basement ghosts.
LMAO Nancy making them return to the basement!!!!
WAIT WAIT WAIT. It's real? NO FLOWER???
I mean, good for her, she was definitely the happiest ghosts and deserves it but like - WE DIDN"T GET TO SEE WHAT MADE HER GET SUCKED OFF???
Also, the 30 seconds for next episode - Sass' ghost power??? So curious.
Alright. Decent episode. Could've done with less Jay hate on Trevor, but I did like Jay's putting his foot down and trying to help them out.

💙 hi and welcome to my ted talk about the latest episodes of what if, please read through (3) 💙
First of all. Why is season 2 so...happy?
I'm not complaining. Marvel has enough sad stories for a lifetime, but I found that, instead of exploring demises, we're now seeing victories. Old villains find their insight and become heroes (Hela, Nebula, Gamora) and lives are influenced for the better, earlier on (Peter Quill, Bucky, Hope).
It might be nothing.
But I think it's something.
You know what season 2 of what if comes right after? Season 2 of Loki. And, as you'll see at the end of this post, their colors are making themselves known.
Could it be that, from his throne, Loki got sick of watching sad stories and seeing worlds die? There is a chance, I don't know how plausible, but there is, that he's influencing all that we saw this season. A little hope here, a little time there, and, using their free will, everyone gets a second chance.
That, or Uatu felt bad for us and wanted to gift us in honor of New Year being in 1-2 days. Do tell me if you have additions on that.
If I had to bet on something, it would be the overall fan reaction to the opening scene. I screamed, yes. Did they expect us to see Loki's name there in the subtitles and be totally chill about it?
"To be or not to be, that is the question"
Tumblr media
I can totally see Tom having this idea for the opening scene: just Loki reciting Hamlet, and altough to his brother's bordedom, acting from Shakespeare. And it was the best idea he could have.
It's a missable detail, but Thor mentions Mjölnir! And you know how? As a gift...for Loki!
He responds to that with "I...have misplaced it" which is, yeah, typical, but how do you just lose Mjölnir, Loki? The idea, however, is that he'd be able to lift it, which I would have loooved to see on screen. But this was fun to have too.
And the response to Captain Carter's "You're a bigger drama queen than your brother" (talking to Thor)?? 😭
"Blessed"
Tumblr media
Can we also point out how insane it is that after just being stripped from her home in an unknown world, Peggy still wanted to help?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She not only has a hero's soul, she is that brave as to turn down The Watcher's warnings and offers to take her back safe. And remember, not everyone can hear Uatu as he narrates. But she can, sometimes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"What if, what if, what if. I have to try."
"Not on my watch"
This ambition of hers, is, of course, given by her humanity too. But that's not only a bad thing. The Watcher's all knowing, his experience of seeing worlds die everyday, has made him unsensible (from our point of view). That's not the case for Peggy.
Amidst all her adventures, however, perhaps she's also searching to avenge the love she lost, searching for her happy ending. In the movie Endgame, I have to admit she felt optional, like Steve wasn't meant to be there with her. But not now.
Tumblr media
I wish The Watcher told her she has a happy ending somewhere.
I don't know about you, but this episode...is my favourite ever from the series. It used to be the Strange Supreme one, but that's on the second place of the podium now.
We got to see queen Hela, drama prince/ actor Loki, king Thor. Bucky, NOT the Winter Soldier, and Steve, finally on the same page! Scarlet Witch!! Using her powers for good, not corrupted. All of them in cool costumes too. If things like these were on live action, I'd lose my f- mind, if I haven't already. :))
And now the green. The "rifts" that are tearing this world apart are very familiar in color.
Tumblr media
And this is not the only thing that's turning green, when it used to be multi-colored. The prism, too, the one from which The Watcher watches and narrates. And I'm not talking about the Time Stone. I'm talking about the tree of life, and how it might actually have a serious impact over everything. I mean, does Uatu know anything? And what was that decorated Yggradsil in the trailer, before the holidays?
Nevertheless, I think it's related in some way, and if it's not, don't blame me. I really like green.
That being said, thanks for reading <3

Thor was shown all arrogant in the beginning of Thor 1 and people always talk about it but none of them mention how Thor humbled down the very moment and looked like a kicked puppy when Odin yelled at him that he has betrayed his loved ones.
Thor's arrogance was mostly bc of him trying to live up to all the expectations that was put upon him from the start, crown prince Thor, heir to the throne, protector of all the realms, big brother Thor. Thor can't be weak, Thor can't be nervous, Thor has to set an example before everyone.
I don't even think that Thor considered loki lesser than him, for him Loki was his equal.
Loki thought Thor was getting more attention from Odin when his brother was getting burdened with more responsibilities and duties while Loki either studies or engaged in mischief for most of the time. Sad
YES!!!! “kicked puppy” is how i always describe thor in that scene 😭 the thing about thor, even when he is being arrogant and impulsive, is that he never acts with any real malice. he was pissed at the jotuns for interrupting his coronation, and it was petty, yes, but like…enemies of the throne attacked their weapons vault in broad daylight? thor was not wrong in saying that it was an act of war. it was. and you’re RIGHT. as soon as odin starts yelling thor realizes that his actions were rash and fueled by anger and confusion and he literally starts crying when odin tells him that he had betrayed his loved ones and friends. “you cannot even protect your friends, how can you hope to protect a kingdom?”
and YEAH !!! every single time thor expresses any kind of ambition or rage, he immediately turns to odin for reassurance. “just as you did father” when he’s a kid to “just as they feared you” to “let‘s finish them together!!” right in the heat of battle. thor literally just wants odin’s approval
and no, thor definitely does not see loki as lesser than himself. loki is quite literally the only one who is ever actually able to talk sense into thor. thor seeks council from loki and loves him so fucking much
yeah :/ it’s kind of a classic miscommunication. loki wants what thor has (odin’s attention) and thor wants what loki has (odin’s lack of attention) and neither of them realize they’d be better off without their father anywhere near them

I see you hate Sylvie so much and the Loki TV show too. why?
Tumblr media
Okay, lemme break it down into a final, once-and-for-all peace speaking on the issue of the series and Sylvie. I'll try to make this as painless as possible.
1- Looking at it beyond the surface, she's not really interesting. The term 'Mary Sue' gets thrown around a lot with Sylvie, and I kind of have to agree. She seems to be little more than a trope checklist. -Sad background that motivates her actions? Check. -Deep down she just wants to be loved? Check. -Inexplicable instant "chemistry" with the male lead? Check. -She's just so super special and important? Check.
But even so, there have been others with similar Sue-ish backgrounds that the MCU has managed to make into pretty decent characters, like Scarlet Witch in WandaVision. Arguably, both characters share some traits, but the writers of Wanda (at least before Multiverse of Mehhness) clearly knew how to bring those ideas into a twisted story of learning how to confront the past and to mourn with a character who still had something to learn.
In contrast, Sylvie really doesn't have any flaws to turn into a deep character study, does she? I think that's her second-biggest detriment (see below for the biggest). A good character is never perfect. A good character had flaws, wants, drives, and other things that make them imperfect but relatable. Sylvie is incredibly unrelatable.
Truly I believe she was written for the stans as a self-insert. She isn't even a decent one. I read fanfics on here with amazing examples of a good insert character, so it clearly can be done. Again, Sylvie ain't it.
2- Sylvie's existence both mocks the comics as well as Norse mythology as a whole. Most of us anti-sylkis know this already, but in Norse mythology AND the Marvel canon that goes beyond the MCU, Loki has had several lovers and wives. Loki married and had three children with Angreboda, and then went on to have twins with wife Sigyn. In the comics, he also had a lover named Amora the Enchantress (which we ALMOST got in the MCU before her cameo was cut). Any one of these three would've made a fantastic romantic plot for Loki if the MCU *really* had the compulsion to go that route.
Alas, instead, the MCU kind of bastardized Amora, Sigyn, as well as another character from the comics named Sylvie, and combined them into TV!Sylvie. This not only means we will likely never see Amora or Sigyn in the MCU, it means they were replaced by an inferior on the same level as Randy from That 70s Show, who was also a sucky character created for the fans as an amalgamation of pre-existing characters.
3- She's just another in a long line of Loki-abusers. Like, does she ever comfort him after all he does for her? Does she even really listen to him? Because from what I saw there was just a lot of this happening between them:
Tumblr media
Jesus, lady. What has he done to make you such a jerk to him? I get you're supposed to be a #GuuurlBoss but that doesn't mean "be a total cunt to a man whenever you feel like it."
After all this time, if we really had to have a Loki character study series, why doesn't he get some respite from the fact that basically everyone he knows has either been cryptic and mysterious to him at best, and hostile/violent/malicious to him at worst?
THIS is probably the single biggest reason I loathe Sylvie. We're suppose to believe she's just being Miss Independent when she's really just bringing the poor god down even more than most. I feel like if she met Thor, he'd get upset at seeing how she treats him, and he'd be confused by how easily Loki just accepts it all.
4- I'm becoming more convinced Tom's only doing the show out of obligation, and that his creativity is being tossed aside for the sake of the series. I normally don't like to speculate like some others do, but with more people (like Zoe Saldana) coming out and saying they felt repeatedly stifled by the MCU's yuckity-yucks in terms of character development, I definitely believe they're telling Tom to shut up and read the script. I mean, the guy probably knows as much Norse/Loki mythology as any scholar by this time, and he seems to be a really creative person by nature. They're tossing out a whole trove of potential.
I get he's got a family now and he needs to bring in some bacon, but 1- he and his fiancee are both prolific actors who could probably get any roles they wanted. Hell, Zawe's about to enter the MCU herself when The Marvels come out later this year. If she has a larger role in the next few phases, I hope to god they treat her better than they've treated Tom and Zoe and other actors. But I doubt it. 2- he's probably already richer than God
He's almost certainly trapped by contractual obligations at this point, and that fucking sucks, and yes, I blame the tv show for this.
So, in conclusion: this really is a train wreck of a show hidden behind a lot of smoke and mirrors. I'm not sorry to say it. Sylvie lacks any kind of genuine depth, and the writers seem both lost on where to take Loki's character arcs, and not interested.

"Alright, Y/N. You're free to go." Bruce looked up from his file to you and Natasha
"Finally!" You groaned dramatically "I'm tired of sitting around here doing nothing."
Bruce chuckled and shook his head in the process.
"You've only been here for 2 days, kid. Be grateful that you only stayed here so little." Bruce told you with a hint of seriousness in his voice "You were supposed to stay here the entire week for observations but since we all live under the same roof, I'll allow you to recover in your own room. Mostly because I know Natasha is not going to let you do some reckless, stupid thing."
You opened your mouth to protest against Bruce's words but your mother beat you to it.
"I'll keep a very close eye on her, Bruce." Natasha looked from the doctor to you "Don't worry."
"Mama..." You whined, ready to throw a tantrum "I'm fine! Besides, you've been babying me for the past 2 days so much that I feel like a toddler all over again."
"I'll stop treating you like a toddler when you stop acting like one." Natasha said without hesitation
"Damn..." You looked down at the floor "I can't even argue with that because I know she's right."
Natasha smiled satisfied with your answer as Bruce burst out in a fit of giggles.
"That's it, baby." Natasha praised you as you forced yourself to slightly sit up on your bed to get more comfortable "Good job."
You smiled up at your mother as she leaned down to kiss your forehead.
"I'll be right back in a second." Your mother declared "Don't try to do anything stupid till I'm back."
"Calm down, Mama. I won't." You chuckled trying to play it off
"Just wait a moment." Natasha said as she opened the door of your bedroom and started to speedwalk downstairs to the kitchen
Passing by the living room, Natasha's ears picked up on some fussing, and quietly poking her head inside the room, she watched what was happening inside that was creating so much noise.
"Come on, Peter." Steve lightly patted the boy's back "You need to eat a little more."
"I've had enoug,h Mr. America." Peter tried to decline Steve's offer to make him eat for the fourth time in the last hour "Thank you, but I'm full."
"My boy, Steve is right." Tony backed up Steve "You need to eat and rest to gain your strengths back."
"I think Stark's right, little Midguardian." Thor involved himself in the discussion
"Come on, Pete." Wanda encouraged too "Just one more bite."
Poor Peter sighed as the team left him with no other option than to eat one last bite from the plate filled with food that was sitting in front of him on the coffee table, in the middle of the living room.
Everyone cheered as Peter swallowed that last bite and looked up to see the team's proud faces staring back at him.
To say Natasha was angry wasn't the right word to describe how much anger built up inside of her at the sight of the team treating Peter like that.
She wasn't mad at Peter or at the way he was treated. She was mad at the team for not showing the same amount of care to her daughter as well.
And while Natasha was perfectly capable of taking care of her daughter alone, she was sad because her daughter almost cried this morning when she asked her mom why the team wasn't visiting her. And the few that did visit her, like Clint, Wanda, Steve, and Bucky, weren't staying with her for more than 10 minutes because they always had something to do for Peter.
Feeling like she couldn't stand around anymore watching everything that was going on inside the living room happen, she bolted straight to the kitchen, trying to keep her tears at bay. The tears of a mother who was suffering only because her daughter was in pain too.
Natasha almost passed unnoticed by the team, but sadly for her, Tony had noticed her staring at them the entire time, and, excusing himself, he followed her inside the kitchen.
The spy was filling a tray with food that she would take to her daughter when Tony shily stepped inside the room.
Natasha tried her best to avoid the man but Tony wasn't going to let her ignore him.
"How's Y/N?" Tony awkwardly cleared his throat
"She is very much alive and recovering." Natasha kept her gaze on the tray with food "And pretty fast I might add, much to your dismay or anyone else's for the matter." The redhead spitted back "My daughter is a fighter that keeps living even though some people wish for her death."
Tony sadly sighed as the guild inside him grew bigger.
"Look, Romanoff..." Tony started as he took one careful step closer to the woman "I am sorry about what I said about your daughter. I know I shouldn't have said that she deserves to die."
Natasha abandoned whatever she was doing as she looked up at Tony and, boy, she wasn't looking happy at all.
"Do you really think that a simple apology is going to make it all better?!" Natasha almost yelled "I know that saying that it was Peter's fault was a mistake and I'm sorry for that. I know that I deserved your anger toward me and I deserved your words because I know how you were feeling in those moments, Stark. But under any circumstances, you shouldn't have wished death upon my baby because I hadn't wished the death of yours too. No..." Natasha shook her head "I was actually happy that your child was alive and well, all while the only thing we knew about my child was that she wasn't well."
Tony looked down at the floor once again and kept silent.
"While you were talking with your son on the phone and he reassured you that he was okay, all I knew about my daughter is that she wasn't waking up damn it!" Natasha yelled at Tony through the tears that had managed to escape her eyes.
The guilt was hanging heavy on Tony's heart, knowing that Natasha had all the right to react like she was.
Tony wanted to say again how sorry he was for saying everything that came to his mind without filtering it first.
But just like that, Natasha evaporated out of the room in a hurry, passing by Tony with the speed of light, leaving no room for any more words to be said.
"Miss Romanoff!" Peter shouted once he saw Natasha pass by the door of the living room, carrying a tray with food in her hands
Peter's plan was successful because he managed to catch the ex-assassin's attention as she stopped in her tracks and turned to the boy
"Can I come with you to see Y/N?" Peter hopefully asked, looking with shimmering eyes at his red-headed aunt
Natasha contemplated the decision she was going to take next.
"Sure, Peter." Natasha hesitantly nodded her head, not fully sure of the choice she was making
Peter needed no more words as he jumped on his feet.
Various protests were heard from all around the room as the team lectured Peter about how he shouldn't be walking on his own.
"Guys, I'm fine." Peter protested
"Allow us to carry you." Steve proposed
Peter's response to Steve's proposal was muffed in Natasha's ears as she zoned out, lost in her own mind.
~~~~~
"Nat, I think it will be better for Y/N if one of the boys carried her." Bruce stopped Natasha from picking you up once the doctor told her that it would be safer for you to be carried and not walking
"I can carry my own daughter, Bruce." Natasha snapped back at poor Bruce
"I know you do, Nat." Bruce nodded "But the boys can offer her more comfort while being carried because they are physically bigger than you."
Natasha rolled her eyes in annoyance at her friend's words.
"Okay, fine." Natasha crossed her arms and sat back down beside you "Just because I want the best for my daughter." She clarified
So Natasha, and you, waited for one of her male teammates to show up.
5 minutes...
No one.
10 minutes...
No one.
15 minutes...
No one.
20 minutes...
Still, no one showed up.
After more than half an hour of waiting, Natasha grew fed up with it.
"Are you sure you asked one of them to come?" Natasha pointed out looking at Bruce
"I did. I swear." Bruce defended himself "F.R.I.D.A.Y. can you please ask Steve or one of the other big boys to come?"
"Mr. Rogers as well as the rest are currently watching a movie with Mr. Parker and they made it very clear that they will not be able to come and help sadly." The A.I. replied almost instantly
Natasha hadn't missed the look of sadness that flashed across your face for a split second before disappearing just as quickly as it showed up.
"That's fine." You chuckled in an attempt to lighten up the mood "I can walk to my room. I'm not a baby. I don't need to be carried." You pointed out
"Y/N Romanoff!" Your mother threatened "I don't even want to hear you protest against it. I'm carrying you to your room and that's final."
Not waiting for an answer she put her arms under you and slightly lifted you off the bed before almost dropping you back down as she heard you yell in pain.
"I'm so sorry, baby girl." Natasha's eyes instantly became glossy with unshed tears, knowing she was the one that caused you to feel pain
"I really can walk. Trust me, Mama." You pleaded with her "Please."
After a lot of debate, Natasha helped you up on your feet and straight to your room as you slowly took one step at a time, clutching your stomach, as Natasha supported most of your weight.
~~~~~
"Miss Romanoff?" Peter asked confused "Miss Romanof!" He called her loudly
Natasha snapped back to reality, blinking a few times and shaking her head to register where she was actually standing.
"Yes, Peter?" Natasha's voice slightly shook as it was filled with confusion
"Can we go to Y/N now?" The boy asked
"Come on. Let's go to her." The woman said as she started to lead the way toward her daughter's room
"Hi, Y/N." Peter shily greeted you, the tone of his voice only above a whisper as he noticed you were half asleep on the bed
It's the first time he sees you since the day of the accident, given the fact that the team pampered him so much, not giving him one minute alone.
Peter quietly took a seat in a chair somewhere in your room as Natasha placed the tray with food on your nightstand.
"Come here, big girl." Natasha cooed quietly as she lifted your sleepy body into a sitting position and put more pillows behind your back and head to support you so you could eat without choking.
Natasha stroked the hair out of your eyes with her hand as she, as well, took a seat on the edge of the bed, positioning herself in front of you.
"Hi, Pete." You sleepily mumbled, giving the boy a soft smile that he quickly returned
"Come on, my love." Natasha cooed as she put the tray in her lap "You have to eat something and fill that empty tummy of yours."
"No, Mama..." You whined, more awake than you were a few seconds ago "I'm not hungry."
"Baby." Natasha softly scolded you "You haven't eaten anything since the morning of the accident. You have to eat now."
It was a sweet sight to see.
The interaction between mother and daughter made Natasha feel as if she was taking care of a little baby all over again and she couldn't love it more.
She misses the time when you were a little tiny newborn baby that needed her assistance day and night.
Sure, even though you are not so tiny anymore, you'll forever be Natasha's tiny baby regardless of the age you have.
"But I haven't felt hungry these days." You explained "That's why I haven't eaten and I'm not hungry right now either."
But right at that moment, your stomach betrayed you by letting out a loud grumble that echoed throughout the entire room.
Natasha silently giggled as she all knowingly looked at you "It doesn't seem like it though."
"Man..." You groaned defeated as your mother won the argument, knowing that now you'll have to eat
"Look, sweetheart..." Natasha started to explain "The only reason why you haven't felt hungry was because Bruce gave you the nutrients your body needed through the IV since you weren't allowed to sit up and eat."
And without leaving any room for you to get the chance to ask any other questions, she held up a spoon to your mouth, ready to feed you the soup that she prepared for you.
"You know, I dislocated my right arm and I am left-handed so I still can eat on my own." You chuckled as you allowed Natasha to feed you "Left-handed just like you, I should point out."
"A mother should always baby her child no matter what age her child has. You could as well be 40 and I would still feed you." Natasha smiled as she kept feeding you "Even more if her child was recently involved in an accident and was hurt."
"Yeah, you win." You giggled, making Natasha follow with a giggle of her own
"All done, my love." Natasha announced as she put the now empty tray aside "I'm so proud of you for finishing it all. You did amazing. Great job."
"Thanks, Mama." You brightly smiled at the woman
Natasha gently wiped your mouth with her hand and smiled at you "You're very welcome, my baby."
"Hey, Y/N?" Peter spoke for the first time since he came into the room. Thank you for saving my life by risking yours. I'm really grateful for that."
"Don't ya worry, Pete." You laughed "We're cousins. Of course, we will always protect each other at any cost."
You noticed the worried look on the boy's face, as if he was debating on whether he should tell you what was on his mind or not.
"Spidey?" You tried to catch Peter's attention "What's wrong, pal?"
"Aren't you mad at me?" Peter teared up, looking down as if the floor in your room was the most interesting thing in the world "That I haven't come to see you since the accident or that I stole everybody's attention away from you?"
"That's perfectly fine." You waved your hand, trying to ease Peter's nerves "I'm not mad and, to be honest with you, I wasn't actually in any good shape to receive visits."
You noticed Peter's shoulders slightly relaxing at your reassuring words so you decided to continue.
"I'm happy that you are okay and unharmed." You pointed out
Peter nodded as tears gathered in his eyes and he tried to hide them away.
But you weren't yet done talking.
"Beside..." You continued with a smile on your face "You haven't taken the attention of the one person I needed the most away, so we're fine. I still had my mama with me day and night and she could replace all the people in the entire universe for me. Although no one can replace her. As long as I have her, I don't need anyone else." You finished with a look in Natasha's direction and waited for her reaction
Your mother's eyes swam in a sea of happy tears that were about to fall any moment.
"As long as I have her, I am not alone." You added as some tears made their way to the front of your eyes as well
Natasha instantly wrapped her arms around you for a big cuddle.
"Thank you, baby." She sniffed the tears of happiness, at your words, back "Mama loves you so much."
"Miss Romanoff?" Tony's A.I. interrupted the chat between Y/N, Peter, and Natasha "Miss Maximoff asked me to let you know she had prepared pancakes for young Miss Romanoff and Mr. Parker."
"Thank you, F.R.I.D.A.Y.!" Natasha thanked the A.I. as she went to stand up "You two wait here. I'll go bring the pancakes for you." She ordered, pointing to you and Peter
"No, Mama!" You whined "Can we come down too? Please!"
"Absolutely not, Y/N!" Natasha denied your request to get out of bed
"Please, Miss Romanoff..." Peter backed you up "Can Y/N please come downstairs with us as well? We'll be careful. We promise."
"Yes, Mama. Peter is right." You rushed to agree with Peter's words
Natasha silently contemplated whether she should help you go down or make you stay in bed and rest as she fed you the pancakes.
"Please!" You and Peter pleaded at the same time, giving Natasha your best puppy eyes
Damn it!
How could she say no to those adorable big eyes and Natasha just sighed, knowing that you and Peter had used your most powerful weapon against her.
Your puppy eyes.
"Come on then, kids." Natasha nodded "We have some pancakes to eat."
"Yes!" You and Peter cheered "Thank you!"
Natasha chuckled as she carefully helped you walk to the living room.
The three of you chose to ignore the lack of enthusiasm from the team's side when you entered the room with your uninjured arm around Natasha's shoulders.
They all revolved around Peter and Peter only.
And you were okay with it.
"And these are for our two little heroes." Wanda smiled as she put two plates with pancakes on the coffee table in front of the couch you were sitting on "It's great to see you back on your feet, honey." The witch smiled at you
"Thank you, Aunt Wanda." You sweetly smiled as your heart filled with gratefulness for Wanda's words
"I'll be in the kitchen making more pancakes for the rest of us." Wanda declared for the others to hear as she left the room
You reached forward to grab a pancake from your plate but instead of you reaching the pancakes, you reached the floor as you were accidentally pushed to the ground by one of the Avengers as they all started to fight about who should be the first to grab one as well.
Over all the commotion inside the room, the loudest thing you heard was your mother's gasp as she instantly jumped down by your side and scanned every inch of you.
"Baby, are you okay?" She worriedly asked, panic evident in her voice as she moved the hair out of your face
You took in a sharp breath as a wave of pain, caused by your broken ribs, washed over you.
"Y/N!" Peter crunched down to your other side
You nodded to let Natasha and Peter know you were okay but not really able to talk as you kept on taking in sharp breaths.
"I'm okay..." You whispered after your breathing returned to its original pattern
"Do you think you can walk, sweetheart?" Your mother asked as she was still as worried as before
"Yeah. Let's just go back." You stood up with help from Natasha and Peter
The team was just standing around watching. None of them had any reaction beside Tony that, as well as Peter, went to crunch down by your side but chose to keep his distance, avoiding another argument with Natasha.
Natasha looked around the room and shook her head at the others and slowly guided you out of the room, leaving a now angry Peter behind.
"Are you guys being serious right now?" Peter shouted once he made sure that you and Natasha were out of the hearing reach "Who did it?! Who pushed Y/N?"
He looked at everyone's faces but the adults only looked down.
"Wanda literally said she'll go make more pancakes! You really couldn't wait for 10 more minutes!?" The boy continued shouting at the adults "And don't even get me started on how you all have treated Y/N these past few days. You completely ignored her when she needed your support the most. As you can clearly see, I am not injured. I had some bruises that in about a day had already healed thanks to my spidey healing. Something Y/N doesn't have!" Peter sniffed "Yes, maybe she has a small trace of super serum in her that she inherited from Miss Romanoff but none of their healing speed compares to mine or Mr. Rogers Captain Sir's healing speed."
"He's right, guys." Tony stepped behind Peter "We've been totally ignoring Y/N even though she was the injured one and we've only made Natasha angrier at us with each day that passed by treating her daughter like we did."
Peter looked with teary eyes at his father and Tony gave his boy a reassuring smile and a small nod.
"I'll admit I made a mistake." Tony continued "I told Natasha I wished her daughter died in the accident but I was wrong. If Natasha's daughter wouldn't have been there to save my son, God only knows what would have happened to him." The billionaire took a deep breath only to exhale it quickly "I am not saying that Peter's undeserving of attention but what I'm trying to say is that we focused too much on him and forgot he is not the only kid this family has to look after and protect and we have failed that girl of Natasha's we so claim to care about and love like our own child. I already told Romanoff how sorry I am for what I said and I hope that one day she'll be able to forgive me and I know she will because, unlike us, Natasha has a heart, a big one I might add, and Natasha's kindness won't allow her to stay mad at me for too long even though that poker face of hers masks her kindness and compassion perfectly. But let's be honest right now, she's Natasha. We know her and we love and we know what's hidden behind all that bad girl attitude she has."
"That Y/N took from her mother." Peter added before sighing "God, they can be so mean when they want..."
Tony chuckled and patted Peter's back.
"We know, my boy." Tony smiled before addressing the team again "I'm pretty sure that, if you go and apologize, both the mother and the daughter will instantly forgive you. Maybe not forget but they'll forgive."
The room fell silent for a good moment before Steve spoke up.
"Tony's right. We need to go and apologize. We've made an unforgivable mistake by mistreating Y/N these days since the accident and we need to make it up to her." Steve stood on from his chair "And to Natasha as well. It's the least we could do."
And just as expected a chorus of agreements followed Steve's short speech as everyone agreed to let both you and your mother know how sorry they are for acting like they did.
Back in your room, Natasha was reading to her daughter from Y/N's favorite book as her baby's head was resting on the older redhead's shoulder.
That's how the team found the small family of two when they walked inside ready to face the consequences of their mistake.
Natasha was forced to interrupt her reading as she saw the room filling up with people who looked like they came to talk serious business.
The spy arched her eyebrow at everyone as she patiently waited for them to speak first, Y/N's head still on her shoulder.
"We're sorry." Steve, like the leader he considered himself to be, said on behalf of everyone present in the room "We are really sorry for treating you like we did. Especially you, Y/N." He turned to look at you "We have ignored you for no reason at all. We all got so caught up in making sure that Peter had everything he needed that we forgot you needed us as well. We hope that you and your mom..." He spared a glance to the woman in question "Can one day forgive us for being so reckless and ignorant."
Natasha ran her fingers through your hair as you lifted your head off of her shoulder.
"What do you say, baby?" She turned her head to look at your face "Shall we forgive them or should we stay just a little bit more mad at them?"
You pretended to think hard about this question as you wanted to let everyone eagerly wait for your decision.
"I think we should forgive them, Mama. They did apologized, didn't they?" You softly smiled at your mother "But with one condition."
"Anything, mini Romanoff." Tony wasted no second in saying
"I forgive you only if we all have a game night together." You smirked "But let's keep it simple. Just board games and cards for now."
A collective laugh was heard from everyone as various people rushed to agree with your deal.
"I'll forever be sorry for what I said to you, Natasha." Tony said once the laughter had died down
Natasha smiled but it didn't quite reach her ears at Tony's apology "I forgive you, Tony. I had actually forgiven you since the first time you apologized. I hope you know that I'll forever feel sorry too about what I said to you in that moment when we both were on the point of losing our minds from worry."
"You're long forgiven. So, Romanoff..." Tony extended his hand toward Natasha "Truce?"
"Truce!" Natasha smiled as she shook Tony's hand
The rest of the night was spent exactly in the way you wanted it. With everyone by your side, having fun, playing games, and overall being a happy and united family.
You smiled.
This was everything you could ever want.
If you went to sleep tonight and did not wake up ever again in the morning, this was the way you wanted to live your last moments.
Surrounded by your mother, your big family, and lots of love.
But you will surely wake up again in the morning.
Why wouldn't you?
But life had no guarantee and you learned that the hard way.
You would surely wake up again.
Wouldn't you?

aw yeah lets do this
S-Tier, AKA the Legitimately Good Tier:
HAWKEYE: Maybe my favorite MCU thing I have ever watched.
+ If you let Jeremy Renner actually act and give him a script, he's fucking great. + Kate Bishop is a perfect mess and I love her, I love she's young and excitable but also takes things seriously, she feels like she's a work in progress, I love her. + MAYA. Holy shit the gravity well of this character, how her presence dictates any scene she is in. Truly stellar. + This entire miniseries is like an extended apology for Hawkeye in every other appearance. "Sorry we dropped the ball with this character so consistently, we will bring the A game here." + The importance of disability. I'm among the ppl who was upset that Hawkeye's disability was dropped, so the way it is centered over and over and over in this, how its practical, how it's funny, how it's sad, how it gives us the most devastatingly emotional scene in all of the MCU yes I am talking about the phone call scene, finally. Fucking finally. + Florence fucking Pugh and her entire charm offensive. + The car chase scene.
- The first episode is unfortunately REALLY slow. - Nah that's all I got. I love this one.
THOR: RAGNAROK
+ "Asgard isn't a place, it's a people" is maybe the most poignant message any MCU film has ever managed. + Literally the funniest movie, but also basically a repair job of character building for everyone in it. + The camerawork in this one makes me so happy. + Tom Hiddleston is given so much to do and he's there with heels on, spectacular. + The giant turret/pegging visual pun, god bless. + Cate Blanchett can kill me.
- uuuuuuuuh. It's not as good as Hawkeye. Yeah.
GOTG Vol 2
+ Sorry but I am a GOTG Truther, I really do think its the one storyline in the MCU that is allowed to get away with really fucking intense character drama because it's not considered "main line." There is a reason ppl rioted when they tried to remove Gunn, and I'm with them. + The only good thing Chris Pratt has done since Parks and Rec. + The way this storyline centers on death and grief is devastating. + Rocket Racoon is the best character in the MCU and we all know it.
- I think the initial treatment of Mantis is REALLY rough even though in the end I think it works, but that's a hell of a hump to get over.
A-TIER, AKA the Great for a MCU Flick Tier:
BLACK PANTHER
+ My biggest problem with the MCU is the creative desert of its set and costume design, the way it feels like nothing is given time to breathe in the creative process. BP is the antithesis of that. I would watch a four hour documentary just on the visual design of this movie, from the architecture to the costumes to the make-up, everything. I don't want to hear from the director or writers, I want to hear four hours of just the craftspeople talking about their work. It's monumental. + Best Villain in the MCU, bar none. + Only MCU film to move me to actual tears in the movie theatre.
- I loved this movie! For the life of me I could not tell you the plot. I understand the plot of every Mission Impossible film but I don't know the plot of this movie. - If this movie was allowed to cut, like, 20 minutes of action and replace it with more character drama, it'd be the best MCU film.
IRON MAN 3
+ The MCU Movie That Pulls Exactly Zero Punches About Being About Mental Health And PTSD Holy Shit + Rhodey and Pepper get so much to do and I like an ensemble piece so much + Shane Black is in love with RDJ and I'm so happy for him + Pepper gets to be a lil monsterfied and that's hot
- Doesn't have Sam Rockwell. - The plot is kinda fully secondary to the character work, which imo is fine, but yanno.
GOTG Vol 1
+ All the stuff I said about GOTG Vol 1
- It's not Vol 2, which benefits from having all the bedrock foundation built by this movie to spring from.
B-TIER, AKA It's Fine I Guess:
IRON MAN 1
It's good! It invented the wheel! Part of it are fucking agonizingly painful to watch in 2023 but it also has more heart than 80% of the franchise so.
IN A CAVE. WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS.
LOKI
Okay it feels shitty of me to judge this one on its technical faults bc apparently it was shot during the pandemic and that causes a lot of the issues with the camerawork, the awkward editing, and just how Weird everything was put together. But also it's REALLY stilted and awkward, which butts up against the good script and the better acting, so IDK man.
Owen Wilson is amazing. Even my mother thought the way they canonized Loki being bi was a cop-out. And the final twist pissed me off. I hope Season 2 is better.
THOR 1
I DUNNO WHAT TO TELL YOU, BUT KENNETH BRANAGH UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT.
DR STRANGE AND THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS
This movie is a mess but once i figured out it was trying to be The MCU Does Gothic Horror, I was a lot more on board. It has all the flaws of the original Dr Strange and is hard to visually follow like most MCU films, but also has America Chavez, who I adore.
IRON MAN 2
It has Sam Rockwell, I don't give a fuck.
C-TIER, AKA I wish I cared but I do not 8C
DR STRANGE
I dunno I like the actual character of Strange weirdly, I like what a complete fucking asshole he is, I like his god complex and how he reacts to his disability as a surgeon. On the other hand what the fuck is Tilda Swinton doing here, this is just awful. My biggest issue with this film is that it didn't have to be this terrible but every decision made about it feels so fucking thoughtless and myopic.
WANDAVISION
yanno. i cannot even explain why i fell off this so hard. Like, this one Had Me all the way up to and including the Agatha reveal, but like the final episodes after that reveal somehow left me completely cold and uncaring. it's genuinely weird.
D-TIER, AKA Oh my god no thank you
AVENGERS
I hate the writing. Like, I haaaaate the writing. I feel like the only likeable relationship in this is Tony and Bruce, and that does not carry this movie. The quip-driven writing, the way the need for a joke supercedes naturalistic voices and dialogue making sense, it pisses me off. I hate the writing. Heartless movie.
BLACK WIDOW
oh my god i'm actively angry at this movie okay because for the first 20 minutes, I was like "wait, is this going to be a real movie," because it felt smaller, the action felt more realistic, that fight between the Widow and Yelena in the beginning felt like it could have been out of MI: Fallout, and the other fight between Natasha and Yelena in the safehouse was also good, I really thought for a few moments that this could be Good
and then it just took a hard right into The MCU Tries And Fails To Make MI: Fallout (They Even Stole The Mask Gag, What The Fuck Was That) and not only was I disappointed, I was like retroactively pissed for the 20 minutes when I had hope in my heart. If not for David Harbour's character, I would have just left in the middle of this movie.
AVENGERS: ENDGAME
Its not at bad as Infinity War! Nebula and Rocket carried this movie on their fucking backs. But what do I know, I liked Renner's mohawk of sadness.
F-Tier, AKA Fuck This Movie
INFINITY WAR
Fuck this movie with a rusted steel dildo, fuck this entire fucking movie, I despise it. The writing is so actively fucking terrible I want to fistfight whoever is responsible. I fucking hate the attempts to humanize Thanos over how sad he is about the daughter he abused and then murdered, boo fucking hoo, I hate the joylessness of the superhero combinations, I hate the quip-driven writing, I hate this movie with a burning passion. This might be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Soulless and destitute.

I know I am wildly late to this observation, but I just rewatched Thor for the first time in a very long while, and. I'd genuinely forgotten that at the start Thor is headed down a path at least as dark as Loki's? I mean Loki is making very extremely bad choices, but Thor isn't exactly less horrifying with his whole jumping straight to the 'lets "break the spirit" of an entire realm by murdering as many of them as it takes' shtick. And it's just so clearly laid out that the divergent paths they are on by the end of the first film isn't illustrative of some inherent difference in their natures or predetermined by choices they'd made before the film started. The difference is that Thor gets the opportunity to love and be loved by people outside the skewed and insulated world he grew up in, to be loved without strings attached, and discovers that the friends he had all along loved him more unconditionally, aside from his power and conquests, than he'd realized. While Loki learns that their father attaches all sorts of strings to his love, and 'learns' (somewhat truthfully with regard to Odin I think, though not with Thor or Frigga), that the love he had from them was always conditional, mitigated, based on lies and offered to a version of himself that never existed.
And I just—my point isn't 'you can't blame him for his war crimes 'cause he was sad', just that. Man it really was about love from the very beginning!!!
(P.S. I sent you an inordinately long series of messages about s1 Loki a couple weeks back, and your response was delightful, and added excellent points—just wanted to say that you; that was lovely of you, and I really appreciate how kind you always are on this blog!!)
Hey there anon, lovely to hear from you again! Thank you so much for your own kind words and taking the time to send another message! Your previous ones were a wonderful read as is this and as far as I'm concerned there's no such thing as being late to anything that isn't already scheduled, especially regarding media or fandom when there's a chance to discover someone/something new around every corner 💖💖
(Case in point how unexpected getting this captivated by a Marvel series was for me, which I only bring up because, well... quick disclaimer, I have an understanding of everything that happened in phase 1 but haven't exactly seen any of the Thor movies or until a few weeks into the airing of Loki had any real exposure to anything Marvel/Loki related between the original Avengers movie and then, which ironically I love because the moment S1 kicks off Loki's journey is where my perspective starts as well!)
As Loki mentioned many times previously, Thor truly wasn't ready to rule back then (not that Loki was either, lol) and you're not only exactly right about them both going down dark paths but I see Thor's view as worse considering he grew up surrounded by a level of confidence in companionship Loki never knew. The attack on Jotunheim pretty much says it all when Thor didn't hesitate to use hurt pride as an excuse to kill as many Frost Giants as possible, then after getting an entire war kicked off all Thor's friends were actually angrier with Loki for letting news of their visit get back to Odin despite the fact that they would've all been killed otherwise 🙃
Odin not being the best father to either of them is an understatement but there are unspoken conditions to his interactions with and love for Loki specifically due to his birth that (by nature of what an imposing figure Odin is) would almost subliminally impact everyone within range so I can't even imagine growing up in the midst of that and having no idea of the real cause, though I don't doubt Frigga's love for him or that the Thor of now wants them to be equals. It really does all come back to love from beginning to end, and makes it all the more important that Loki finally found that love and acceptance beyond his wildest dreams in Mobius so here we are now just waiting for them to find their way back to each other :')
