#the romanticism of anonymous communication

hi sorry (one of the previous wumph anons): this is completely random and there’s no need to answer this but… you said you got a lot of anons on the topic. What was the general consensus on the whole phenomenon among them?
Just to contextualize this ask: I recently mentioned how the whump community (known for romanticizing the extreme anguish, torture, and trauma of fictional characters) has an abnormally high amount of members who identify as trans men. And more interestingly, that almost all the characters whose anguish this community romanticizes are male as well. Many radical feminists have subsequently discussed why this might be.
I can’t say there is much of a consensus at all. Most theories I received as to why this community almost exclusively romanticizes the anguish of male characters were vastly different, and at times, outright contradictory. However, here are the most common ones:
-It’s a homoerotic fetish. This is an obvious and uncomplicated conclusion to draw; most members of the whump community are simply girls who fetishize male homoerotic dynamics. This effectively explains why the whumpee, the whumper, and even the caretaker are most frequently all male characters.
-Readers have too much compassion for female victims. Many radfems expressed that female anguish is too reflective of reality—especially considering most whump themes are forms of abuse that, outside of fiction, females are the primary victims of. The result is an uncomfortable degree of realism in which female readers may involuntarily project themselves onto the victimized female character. Therefore, replacing the victimized female character with a male helps to dilute the degree of realism and create a necessary distance between the reader and character.
-Readers lack compassion for female victims. Other radfems including myself feel that whump consumers fixate on male victimization because female victimization is expected, eroticized, and trivialized—meaning, female-coded anguish is only recognized as horrifying and emotionally compelling when experienced by a male character. Essentially, female victimization titillates the audience, but male victimization is treated rightfully as a horrific and traumatic incident. Thus, the appeal for male victims is an obvious conclusion; only then is trauma and violence treated as it should and only then is the victim truly treated as a victim.
-Male victims are an intriguing reversal of gendered expectations. Self-explanatory. A handful of radfems stated that seeing a male character in a vulnerable, victimizing, or compromising situation might be an intriguing reversal to the assertive and combative male character archetype. This is a convenient answer, except that it fails to explain why the abuser (or whumper) in these scenarios is still male and not female, considering that a female abuser would also constitute as an intriguing reversal of gendered expectations.
-Male characters are generally more compelling. Again, some radfems have stated that male characters are simply better written, but I find this another highly convenient yet fallacious theory. In my opinion, this is an oversimplified analysis in which female readers fail to consider how deeply, unconsciously, and invisibly their internalized misogyny actually runs, and instead choose to project that internalized misogyny onto the author. I elaborate more on this here.
-Male victims are vicarious revenge for misogyny. This was the rarest and most conflicting answer. Only three radfems expressed that seeing male characters in victimizing situations operates as a form of imagined revenge for either the male character’s machismo or the machismo of real-life men. This is unconvincing not only because of the obvious fact that female readers adore these victimized male characters, but also because the main appeal of this genre appears to be sympathizing and rooting for the male victim. An anonymous asker articulated the issue with this theory quite nicely:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In conclusion, it’s a highly controversial but fascinating discussion. I’ve enjoyed everyone’s commentary so far, even if I disagree with some of it. And I’ve tagged all posts related to this discussion under #whump on my account, in case you want to read through them and form your own opinion.

Anti-Transids, there is room for you to support transids, you probably already do
In light of my recent survey on transID transitioning, I also wanted to throw out some of my favourite times people who are supposedly rampantly anti-radqueer have been blatantly pro-transid and pro-transition
I call these guys anonymously pro-transid, they fit the definition but they're convinced that they don't because they mischaracterise it for a variety of reasons - there's more support out there for the concept of transids than you think!
In my hunt for anti-transid arguments I was actually finding a lot of stuff like this:
Chronosian - the first variant of an accidentally pro-transid term I know of and it's still being used/coined for despite it literally being transage with a 'disconnection from the community/term
'The making of an atypical dysphoria awareness flag
Arissomei - whilst claiming to be anti-transition and anti-transid, the coiner also states that "if your "transition" doesn't hurt others, yourself, appropriate, glorify, fetishize, or romanticize anything, you're fine!" and they include amputation as acceptable transitioning. The term lists some of the most common reasons for transidentification
Arriso- Subterms - these have started covering everything from transage and transabled to things like transvoice and transnationality. In my view there really isn't a distinction between these anymore especially as more radqueers are considering themselves non-community radqueers
More acceptance towards transitioning methods deemed harmless, especially social transitioning and self-disabling transitioning
Generally, I think anti-radqueers have moved past their weaker arguments about the trans- prefix and how atypical dysphoria isn't real (remember when that was an argument? wow how times have changed) have moved on to stretching assumptions about the community being pro-c, romanticising/fetishising their identities, pro-all types of transitioning, pro-every term ever coined that's been tagged as radqueer, so on.
In reality, they don't understand that these things are huge discourse starters in the community, which is exactly why lots rq spaces don't talk about them, because they don't want to fragment their already-small and widely harassed community any further
They also don't see that you can be pro- these identities and experiences without being pro- the community they deem as so harmful based on anecdotal negative experiences, and that plenty of radqueers have actually moved past identifying with the community
61.6% of the 112 responses my TransID-only survey has gained so far consider themselves just 'radqueer'. 15.2% are non-community radqueers, 13.4% are pro-transid and pro-para but don't use radqueer, and around 5% either consider themselves not pro-para, not pro-transid, or neither
If you support any of the terms I've listed here, there is room for you to support various transids - you already do

It's That Time of Year Again...
Drarry Disability Fest 2024
Welcome Back to the 2ND YEAR of Drarry Disability Fest (2024)!
For those who don't know, Drarry Disability Fest is a fest dedicated to the accurate representation of disabilities, d/Deafness, medical conditions, and mental illness; Drarry Disability Fest is the first of it's kind. In this fest there will be no romanticism of disability (though romance will definitely be present elsewhere), instead we want our artists and writers to focus on accurate depiction - whether it be of the sad, mad, or glad times of disability and mental illness.
Our goal is to add diversity to the Drarry fic and fanart community, and we firmly believe that while disability and mental illness can be very difficult to handle, they do not mean that we're destined to a life of inaction and solitude; we are an empowered community.
All the mods for this fest are disabled/mentally ill to some extent, and have experience with a variety of additional disabilities to ensure that we have maximum ability to give feedback and filter prompts to the best of our ability.
We would also like to say that everyone's experience with mental illness and disability is different, so if you end up reading a depiction of your illness or disability that differs from your own, please accept that we do our best to filter the media in this fest so that it is safe for disabled readers, and remember that every different experience with a condition is valid.
This fest will not be anonymous, and we're posting to the fest AO3 Collection in July as that is Disability Pride Month. This year we are starting everything slightly earlier so that all you beautiful creators have more time to create, so follow our tumblr and join our discord sever to be sure you don't miss anything.
Anyone may prompt to this fest, even if you don't plan to create anything, however we will be filtering your prompt submissions on the AirTable to ensure they are sensitive to the disability/mental illness you are wishing to see depicted.
You don't need to be disabled to write about disabilities, but please do your research, ask questions from disabled sensitivity readers, and if you're ever unsure our wonderful mods Ceylon, Rowan, and Kel are happy to help. We have a wordcount minimum of ~1000 or equivalent. This means if you're not doing a written piece then put in the effort equivalent in your digital fanart, podfic, or other media. We do not accept videos at this time.
Beta readers/viewers are required for each submission. You can self prompt when claiming, and you can claim multiple prompts as long as you submit each work before claiming a new prompt.
The Dates are as follows in MST/MDT:
February 29 (Leap Year): Prompting Begins
March 20: Prompting Closes (Self-Prompting still allowed)
April 1: Claiming Opens
June 15: Claiming Closes
June 16 : Submissions Deadline
July 1: Posting Begins
July 31: Posting Ends & Fest Wrap-up
Further in depth fest rules can be found at the pinned post on our tumblr, please give them a read as they have been updated!
Your mods: Rowan @basicallyahedgehog (tumblr), Ceylon @quackquackcey (tumblr), Kel @slytherinthelibrary (tumblr)
A PSA: We acknowledge that J.K. Rowling is the author of the series this fandom is based in, however all mods involved strongly disagree with and refute any and all racist, antisemitic, transphobic, homophobic, and other prejudiced ideas the author holds. This is a safe space for trans people and two of our mods are trans themselves. If you are transphobic or homophobic or otherwise prejudiced against any marginalized group; you are not welcome here.

// cw: mentions of nsfw, cannibalism, and if this escapes my target audience, vore ofc
hey! sorry for the long hiatus, but I’d just like to say something.
if you don’t understand sfw vore, that’s ok!! there’s no need to interact, and you can block me as you wish. but sending hateful anonymous accusations in my inbox .. really sucks? you don’t know anything abt me or my interests??
I’m sorry that this is how I return to this account, but jesus christ. it’s insane how everyone online has begun to romanticize stuff like cannibalism recently and they can recognize it’s fantasy + they know for some people it’s sexual and for others it isn’t, but when it comes to more taboo interests, vore is totally shunned.
this is the same stuff they did w that infamous asexual vore blog lol. this person was asexual and said their stuff was sfw and people still got on their ass about it. it sucks! especially when people refuse to have an open mind and instead resort to harassment.
I’m happy to talk to anyone who doesn’t understand my interests. explaining this stuff to anyone curious has become natural to me. I’m not hurting anyone — I haven’t even spoken to anyone on this account — and there’s large enough of a community of people online who enjoy this interest nonsexually that it’s just ignorant to say it’s a sex thing.
I’ve been interested in this stuff since I was a little kid. it’s really comforting and it’s gotten me through a lot of tough spots, even if that sounds silly. anyone’s free to enjoy my posts, and even if I let anyone interact, it’s incredibly rare that I’ll interact back anyways.
sorry for writing this whole thing. it’s just really bothersome that there are so many real threats out here on the internet and people still choose to target accounts who haven’t done anything at all. this account was made because I was comforted finding a space where there were people like me who enjoy this interest nonsexually like I do; trying to fit myself into the sexual side of it never felt right, and I grappled with that struggle a lot growing up until I realized this niche of the community existed.
thanks for reading and I hope anyone who did has a good rest of their day. feel free to dm or send an ask if you have any questions or inputs! :]

Tw syscourse heavy, transRAMCOA & RAMCOA mentions, transCSA mentions, transProgrammer/transProgrammed mentions. Again HEAVY syscourse. Not happy about all of this so it’ll probably come out strong (I don’t mean it strongly just in annoyance).
Every time I pop up and just look through Tumblr, the horror stories of endos and whatever other non-traumatized “system” really irks me. That and these “transRAMCOA” assholes.
The endos first. All endos want to say is that they’re invalid to claim they have a trauma disorder without trauma. That literally goes against itself in a single statement. “I have a trauma disorder but I have no trauma.” You are quite literally contradicting yourself in the same sentence.
“But what if they don’t remember their trauma?!” If they aren’t sure of being plural and won’t do genuine research and say, “hey, my symptoms line up with this and I realize that this term isn’t what I am” then that’s a big iffy. I know some people always want anti endos to be “endo neutral” but nah. Fuck that. I’ve seen so many other blogs comment about how endogenics send them anonymous asks to say rude and mean things completely.
“But why do you believe those?” Because the ones that aren’t truly being victimized will always go and hound someone’s ass because they’ve been called out. I’ve never seen one person that was truly dealing with OSDDID comment to someone else wanting them to go harm themselves because they got called fake and invalid, I’ve seen a majority breakdown. Ourselves included.
I’m surprised with my standing about not receiving any anonymous messages telling us things, but I feel like the last time we said anything about it, we did say we’d post the ask any way and just mock. Hell, we enjoy vicious mockery (heavy D&D need).
But on the topic of transRAMCOA, transProgrammer, transProgrammed, transCSA.
All of you are twats. Complete and utter assholes. And I’ll stand by that. True survivors have a very little space to be able to go to and to find a community. And I thought here would be fine but no.
You REALLY don’t want genuine torture to happen to you. I don’t want to get into the parts of it that we can comment on. But what the fuck? Why must all of you say shit like “I want this to happen to me!” “I want to do this to people!” “I want to be this!” “I should have experienced this!”
What does that do to genuine survivors? Endogenics and their supporters are already making it hard for genuine systems to get a diagnosis and not a lot of licensed professionals are following the dissociative disorders due to TikTok trends. What do you think you’re all doing to genuine RAMCOA/OEA survivors? You’re taking away the little things we genuinely have and that’s messed the fuck up.
No one should have to go through shit like that, let alone children. It’s completely and utterly mad that adults and children want to wish this something like that happened. And if you’re a minor, please stay safe. Stop saying shit like that before you genuinely do get hurt because it will happen. The internet is fucking crazy. It’s not a bad thing to practice internet safety before it’s too late.
I know we spill our guts here on this blog but I’d rather someone be able to relate to the things I spew than have to out themselves and have a target on their back.
But this whole tirade of bullshit like this (it is bullshit), I can’t support anyone who says something like that.
Sure, they might not remember their trauma, but they’re associating with a term against our dni. And I won’t support them with that term anywhere.
That’s just our thoughts on the matter. And I’m not happy about the things I’ve seen recently. Stop being jealous and romanticizing someone else’s trauma. It’s disgusting.

I love your Haarlep and Raphael so much ^~^ why them?
Hello, anonymous. You mean why is this one of my interests? Or why does my soul have a passion for them? I'm guessing, it's both. :) In fact, this pairing has existed since I first met the incubus and enjoyed the scene with him in the aesthetic form, that is usually admired in a beautifully shot erotic short film. Their relationship is confirmed by the studio itself, given the secrets of the Devil's acquaintance in the House of Hope, which are revealed as soon as you get there. I fucking love these two. And I can't stand their romanticization. I like them, both individually and together.
Haarlep is underestimated by many. Its surface is that of a sex toy. Let's be honest - that's practically how it is. The tip of the iceberg that everyone recognizes. And don't want to go deep into a volcano. :) But he is an incubus (or succubus - depending on what the player prefers). Its essence suggests a sexual context. These creatures feed on lust, passion and desire. And yes, they devour their victims during intercourse. Fortunately, we have a choice. I prefer to leave Haarlep alone as he doesn't do anything bad to the player. The only thing is that he will not play to your tune. He prefers to get his own. Figuratively speaking. And during this cut-scene you can reveal Haarlep's personality as a very ambitious, smart demon. I like that it offers play. A game with a mouse, like Raphael. Tav is also a little mouse for him. And he's a cat that Raphael clearly respects, given some of the information that we receive during our communication with the personal incubus. From here the 'sex toy' moves into the background. In my humble theory, he's the favorite. He's a favorite, like the Duke of Buckingham for King James VI of Scotland or Philippe de Lorraine for Philippe, duc d'Orleans, brother of King Louis XIV. Accordingly, Raphael is the king (or Emperor) of his kingdom (Empire), and the incubus is his favorite. Favorites had privileges that queens and empresses sometimes never dreamed of. Naked facts. And  Raphael shares everything with him and doesn't hide anything except what's in the safe, right? Is it really just about sharing with a sex toy your thoughts? Not sure. This is logical, don't you think? That Raphael chose him from many other incubus (succubus) and demons. And I trust the Devil's choice, since he hid several of his secrets in the boudoir. In his personal space there is the only incubus. One of his secrets. Even if there is no love in their relationship (there is none, accordingly - I'm sure that it doesn't exist in their understanding), there is a certain trust and respect. Peculiar. Belongs to both of them. He trusts Haarlep with his dirty secrets. His desires and fantasies. He trusts him with his body. His face. His essence.
Haarlep has some power in these chambers. And he behaves relaxed, not tense, like a person to whom everything is permitted. He behaves like a favorite.
Let there be a treaty between them (I've read some theories about the possibility of an incubus being there as a personal pleasure, and I find this theory more realistic and entertaining), let there be a dozen fire-stinging stones in a theory where Haarlep is not particularly happy with his position. But I don't consider him a victim. He is in the Devil's chambers. On his pillows. In his bed. He is, I must say, in an excellent position. Whatever was behind his wings. Whatever stories this situation hides. He settled in perfectly in the space of the House of Hope. He laughs, he is amused, he knows Raphael almost completely. He is his perfect copy. Is this a loss of individuality or a choice that has already been forcibly ingrained? Or is it an imposed preference and approved by rebellious humility? I love the moment, when Haarlep mocks his Devil. This is the best thing about the scene. He plays pranks like a cat, knowing that his owner will not praise him, that this will anger Raphael. He adds fire to the flames already filling the House of Hope, because Tav has climbed where he shouldn't. And since he asks, it makes no sense to lie. Is this revenge for the agreement? Or is his own dissatisfaction that he is a hostage to his position, which he both likes and perhaps periodically gets bored with? Various options are possible. Without vanilla dreams of romantic feelings. No secrecy. But the point is that he knows the Devil. He knows, what he is like. He knows, he won't like it. And he gives away the keys to the most valuable things. He is their keeper. He is the keeper of the Devil's main secrets. He is a good cop towards Tav and a bad cop towards Raphael. He's a demon. And he has the right to do as he wants, since it is not that he isn't afraid of Raphael - he's neither a servant, nor a representative of the second or third class, and probably knows that nothing will happen to him for such. After all, the guilty thief will take full responsibility.
The devil is not so stupid as to put just anyone into his bed. We see that Raphael prefers order. As the owner of his house, he does not tolerate chaos in his possessions unless he wants it. Judging by his behavior, how courteous he is, how collected he is, a portrait of a meticulous to the point of neatness is clearly emerging. That is why he is so enraged when, despite his advantageous decency, if a player signs a contract, deciding to break it, comes to the House of Hope, or follows Orpheus' hammer, without his permission he visits something that is kept in strict order and according to the rules of Raphael himself. Therefore, I see no point in romanticizing his relationship with Tav, since he makes it clear that it is not the character that he craves, but what this little mouse can give as a result of his progress towards a single goal. He may admire him to some extent. But Tav will remain a mouse. And Raphael is the Cat. And he defines inequality by this. :) He distributes it clearly and politely. Nevertheless, the above describes Haarlep and Corilla as equals. To those close to him. They are his advisers, spies, guardians. Therefore, no matter what stones hang in the relationship with Haarlep, his relationship is realistically confirmed. And I like their uniqueness. Their honesty. Their non-standardity. There is no love there, no sweet feelings there. There is something that Raphael values - honesty. It is unlikely that he would want Haarlep to cowardly tuck his tail between his legs and say in a trembling voice that all his poems and plays are written beautifully, magnificently, and are masterpieces, when this is far from the case in his creative process. Let's leave this to those behind the boudoir.
Rather, I see that Haarlep, on languid evenings in Raphael's company, shows one of his best qualities, expressing what's wrong with this poem, and that he doesn't like the way its ending sounds, and Raphael needs to think about it and redo it, even if it will cause disapproval on his part, he will appreciate honesty. They don't grovel before him, they're not afraid that he'll grind you into powder with his gaze, crush you, and rub your sole into the floor. So I appreciate Haarlep's characterization. That's why I see more fire here. That's why I like them both together. :) They're incredible.
And I wouldn't say that Haarlep has lost his personality. Rather, Raphael is precisely what values. He's a good actor, and at the same time quite honest in separating himself from the image of Devil. There are noticeable differences in it. His ambition does not allow him to hide himself in the obsession of a 'copy of the Devil'. Therefore, many often prefer Haarlep more than the true Devil. They see the difference, I guess. Haarlep is a kind of vicious 'side', not without intelligence and tenacious claws. He is more open to sophisticated games. And he doesn't hide the fact that he can eat you. In all senses.
And yes, I get aesthetic pleasure from their design. The characters themselves. The devil is in the details, as they say. :)
This is just my little analysis. Opinion. Everyone keeps their fantasies in a safe (in mine there is also a place for Raphael / Astarion, why not?). Thank you.
P. S. I apologize, if there are any errors. This isn't my native language. But I tried to check everything as much as possible. :)

what happened, in my own words.
Firstly, I want to apologize for my delay in writing this. Over the last few days, I've been taking the time to listen to those harmed by this situation, reflect on my contributions to it, and consider how I can do better in the future.
On or around September 22nd, Sasha posted a message on the JCC server about the tea blogs, asking if anyone had interacted with gossip about themselves. At the time, I was being targeted on Tattler after confronting a misogynist. I was upset and looking for comfort within the community. So, I replied.
At the time, I didn't know much about Sasha beyond her reputation: she was controversial, and liked to write taboo plots. But I was moved by the compassion she showed me when I was vulnerable, and I valued the advice she gave me. I felt like I'd just made a new friend. Unbeknownst to me, Sasha believed I'd slighted her in the past, and would later refer to this series of interactions as "luring me" "setting the bait" and "catching me in her trap". (check the doc where she tells her own story)
During our subsequent conversations, Sasha assured me that her interest in writing controversial topics was purely artistic. She spoke a lot about separation of the author from the character, and the ethics of writing extreme horror. My friends in the horror writing community echoed these sentiments: authors who write about sensitive subjects do it with care. They're not for writing for titillation or self-gratification. They're using art as catharsis, and or as a vehicle to expose the darkest sides of human nature.
I was hooked.
Sasha was charismatic and well-spoken. I was drawn to her larger-than-life personality, and I'm the first to admit that I'm a bleeding heart. I'd just experienced what it was like to be the main character of the RPC gossip blogs, and now, here was someone else who'd been ripped apart by anonymous rumors. My empathy was infinite. I came to believe that Sasha's reputation arose from a misunderstanding about her creative intentions. I wanted to believe that this person, who was being so kind to me when I was at a low point, couldn't possibly be as bad as people claimed.
When Sasha opened up to me about her difficulties in finding places to write where she felt accepted, I felt for her. I wanted to give what I believed to be an unfairly rejected member of the community a place to write. The conversation turned to Liminal, and I suggested she might enjoy the site. At the time, Liminal's staff was struggling to convince our members to respect the genre, plot, and tone of our setting. I was so easily charmed by Sasha, who was actually committed to writing horror and seemed interested in playing a character who could serve as an antagonist in our plot.
Naively, I assumed that she would want to play a more run of the mill villain, as you might expect to find on a post apocalyptic horror site. When she told me she wanted to write a "groomer and his victim" with her RP partner, I was surprised, but given the context of our previous conversations, I was inclined to hear her out.
Sasha described an objectively irredeemable person who was attracted to teenagers, in a romantic relationship with one of his victims (who would be an adult at the time of play). She assured me that this character would be explicitly presented as an antagonist, and that his plot would be his downfall arc. He would not be romanticized, the grooming elements of the plot would be limited to Sasha's consenting ship partner, and all sensitive subject matters would be handled carefully, plus tagged with appropriate trigger warnings. I asked several times if the more sensitive elements of this narrative would be kept non-explicit. I was assured that they would be. At every pressure point, Sasha framed this character in a way that suggested he would be played responsibly, in a nuanced manner.
We spent a week vetting the apps, and ultimately approved them. I wholeheartedly believed that seeing an evil individual being defeated by kind, compassionate characters would be empowering to our members, some of whom were playing characters who were victims of sexual violence themselves.
During Sasha's time on Liminal, Ezra was a popular character. I was led to believe that everyone who interacted with him was fully aware of what he was, and where his character arc was heading. Threads were being marked with trigger warnings, and Sasha consistently made efforts to ensure that her writing partners were aware of what they were getting into. Everything looked above-board. I was thrilled that Sasha felt comfortable in our community, and that our other members were being so welcoming.
It was too good to be true.
As family matters pulled me away from the site, I trusted that Sasha would respect the boundaries that we'd set for this plot and character. Instead, those boundaries were being gradually tested and pushed. The age of the minors that Ezra was attracted to dropped. The "groomer character" was now being referred to as the "p*dophile character". I was too busy to actively read every thread being written, I wasn't as present as I should have been, and I deeply wanted to believe that this was all just a misunderstanding, or a joke--that Sasha, who had been so careful to make sure that everyone was consenting and informed, would never intentionally cross the boundaries we'd set.
This entire experience has been a much-needed lesson in trust. Unfortunately, it was learned at the expense of so many people I care about, and so many strangers who I never believed would be affected by my decisions.
I fucked up. When others warned me about Sasha, I chose not to believe them. When I was warned about how the subject matter she was writing could hurt others, I chose to believe I could keep the situation under control.
To Liminial members, thank you for putting your trust in me as an admin, and I'm sorry for breaking that trust. I failed you. I invited a bad actor into our community and provided them with a platform to write harmful things that I was in no way equipped to manage.
To Liminal staff, I'm sorry for allowing this to come between us, and for the stress that this situation has placed on you.
To Tattler, I apologize for trying to nip the situation before it exploded. Please understand I was operating in a frenzy of people-pleasing desperation, hurt, and confusion, and trying to protect my site. It is not an excuse, I know.
To everyone who has been hurt by this situation, and especially to those of you who have been forced to relive your own traumas as a result of it, I cannot apologize enough. CSA is disturbing, disgusting, and reprehensible. My sister is a survivor of it, as are many others who are close to me. The RPC is not the place for this kind of content.
To everyone who has supported me through this, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

feeling really :/ today. there’s a kmg centric account on here that uses very intense themes of ddlg in their work and i just.. i’ve sent them a few asks to explain why it’s harmful and they ignore them all. i don’t know what to do…. i think the arguments i made were valid. i understand it’s all in preference. a daddy kink here and a ‘my cute little princess’ there is all fine. but having phrases like ‘kid’ and ‘dad’ and ‘im ur real dad’ is just so.. especially using svt’s name to do that? even saying MDNI will not ensure minors don’t make priv accounts or lie about their ages or ghost read. and romanticizing tropes that are harmful could lead to young readers never realizing the dangers around them if they are in situations where someone is taking advantage of them.
this obviously isn’t about u nalani!! i just thought to come to u bc u seem to have good judgment. maybe i’m being dramatic and it really is just a kink in not sure. it just scares me that something with pedophilic undertones and definitely incestual undertones is being promoted on caratblr using the names of svt members.
u don’t have to publicly reply to this if u don’t want to!! i’m just a little let down by the caratblr community for not caring enough to not only not promote harmful tropes but also not having more care for svt members
i can only reply publicly since it’s an anonymous ask lol. anyway, i’ll answer below the cut.
first of all your feelings are valid, and i hope you know that. idk what blog you’re referring to so i can’t say whether or not the content is outright pedophilic or incestual. (but yeah those phrases are a little… 😬)
tbh ddlg isn’t for everyone since (from what i understand) it’s more of an intense type of role play/lifestyle that involves age regression and being entirely submissive to the dom. that type of content isn’t for a lot of people, and that’s okay.
regarding to the asks you sent being ignored, every content creator has the right not to respond to asks no matter it’s contents whether polite or rude. in a way i understand where this person’s coming from. when i wrote spoiled, i got some not so nice asks because of the content of the fic which i ignored. some of the asks weren’t rude but still not something i wanted on my blog. even now a lot of people won’t read my content because of that series, and that’s fine.
of course saying/writing minors do not interact on any smut post is not a guarantee that they won’t read it. BUT as content creators, we can only do so much. we’re not parents to the people who read our stuff, and it’s not our responsibility to teach people wrong from right. i’m not for romanticizing harmful content, and i can’t say whether or not that’s what this person is doing. even so, we can’t expect content creators to be responsible for a reader’s perception of reality or making them aware of the dangers of this world. it’s just not realistic or fair.
and i don’t think you’re overreacting. as i said before, your feelings and thoughts are valid. as a carat, i understand that you feel upset about svt being used for this type of content.
finally, i don’t think it’s fair to say that about caratblr as a whole. we can’t police or kink shame someone just for using a group they love as a creative outlet. there’s nothing wrong with writing about certain kinks or even darker content as long as it’s about adults. fanfiction is just that: fiction. it’s part of what we (cc) do because we love our idols and we love writing. caratblr is meant to be a fun and safe space for all carats, and having everyone go after someone would just destroy that purpose.
and this is not meant to shame or scold you because im glad you felt like you could come to me with this. your feelings are valid.

Week 3: How does Tumblr function as a digital community?
Tumblr emerged as a phenomenon for blogging and interacting with other users. As other popular social networking platforms, Tumblr possesses a few features in common with Facebook and Twitter, including features such as re-sharing, spreading content, and visual elements. Tumblr has a unique social networking experience where users can follow others without the need for reciprocation. Furthermore, users have the ability to re-blog posts and share them with their own followers. Unlike Twitter, Tumblr does not impose a character limit on posts and also allows for the seamless integration of multimedia content such as images, audio, and videos (Chang et al. 2014). As mentioned, Tumblr is a free and anonymous visual platform with a diverse and multi-level number of posts, allowing for unlimited creativity and prioritizing aesthetics. Passive spectators become creators and the primary subjects who belong to the Internet democratize.
Tumblr media
‘Born to Die’ by Lana Del Rey - no one - any art critic expected that Born to Die would have such a tremendous influence on the way a huge part of the audience perceives music, and being a source of inspiration, inspiring numerous young artists to pursue Alternative and Sadcore. Born to Die nearly revived the slowly dying Tumblr culture and resonated deeply with an entire generation.
Tumblr media
In 2012, Lana Del Rey was seated on a throne in a church beneath a ceiling adorned with frescoes, accompanied by a pair of lounging tigers, with a bloom of blue roses resting on her head. The video for “Born to Die” made the rounds on Tumblr in the platform’s heyday, launching the star of the singer who initially came from the alternate music scene, and immortalizing Lana as a patron saint of sad girls everywhere, lonely in the world. The album is and was a cultural reset: an evisceration of the American Dream and its emptiness by way of lyrical irony, bold visuals, and the playful discernment of the female gaze (Sultan 2022).
Tumblr media
Del Rey was a prominent fixture on the social media site Tumblr, a multimedia-sharing platform (France 2019). This online era saw many GIFs from her music videos, along with many picture edits of her, often romanticizing her emotionally complex lyrics.
Tumblr media
Since its 2007 beginnings, Tumblr has been a popular hub for blogs about self-harm, as well as disordered eating and suicidal ideation. It gave rise to a deeply confessional and earnest emotional register, possibly because the website felt so much like an enclave, a hidden corner of the internet where most users remained totally anonymous, finding community with others who shared a similar aesthetic and disaffection with life itself (Madden 2022). Taylor (who was part of Tumblr’s nymphet community a decade ago, while a sophomore in college) desired a sense of community and also longed for a more romantic and indulgent life. She found it in the nexus of Lana Del Rey-touting Tumblr blogs.
Songs are first-class, recommendative.

You’re brainless. Dark content is reccomnded by therapists. Gilfhub is a victim who writes very raw and honest fanfiction which presents as toxic she never says it’s romantic and beautiful and ideal she outright states throughout the entire piece that the relationship is toxic and messed up.
damn, you're funny calling me brainless anonymously, aren't you? then move it over to ao3 or keep it private, bozo. if you've read one of my posts i've already said it over there. don't fucking flood the tags with it because a.) it's against the community guidelines, b.) it's fucking hard to filter because apparently writers trying to fucking bypass it. And I'm not even talking solely about gilfhub, I'm talking about a bunch of writers on here I've seen writing the weirdest shit.
if that's how some cope, fine, idec anymore. but keep in mind that there are also fanfic readers, some of them may also have been victims, who are uncomfortable scrolling through the tags and are unable to filter them because these writers are trying to break against the guidelines. and regardless of how much you state warnings throughout the fic, if you're narrating and describing your story in a way that may seem like you're glorifying and romanticizing dark themes, then you are going to be perceived as someone who glorifies and romanticizes those topics regardless of you're a victim or not.
and before you go off about blocking, anon, if you've paid enough attention you'd see that I've given the readers options: report and block.
now if you'll excuse me, I've got some grass to touch.

getting back on my bullshit about cottagecore again and I think one of the things people don't get about small, rural communities is the right social control over women.
like you have no anonymity. want to tie one off at the bar? people who know you will tell your grandparents you got trashed. have a political opinion that doesn't match the politics the community supports? you're the weird hippie now. there is judgment and condemnation around every corner, and reputations stuck for years.
I see this with women going back to their abusers- even years later, they're still labelled as dumb and foolish for getting trapped in that cycle. if you do manage to leave, you have to deal with the whole town knowing and a whole lot of them are gonna take your abusive ex's side.
And there's very few resources. Very few jobs, many of which don't hire women due to being lumber mills or iron mines. There aren't shelters- a church may help, but you're SOL if you aren't Christian and feel uncomfortable with it. The cops are probably your ex's drinking buddies, and it takes a lot longer for emergency services to show up anyway.
I love living in the country, but god I need y'all to be real about what it's like when y'all romanticize it

Drarry Disability Fest 2023
It's 2023 and it's time to add a new drarry fest to your fic-writing schedule! Introducing for the first time ever: Drarry Disability Fest 2023.
Exciting, right? A fest dedicated to the accurate representation of disabilities, d/Deafness, medical conditions, and mental illness; Drarry Disability Fest is the first of it's kind.
We will be opening a Drarry Disability Fest Discord server soon, so follow our tumblr to be sure you don't miss that announcement.
Anyone may prompt to this fest, even if you don't plan to create anything, however we will be filtering your prompt submissions on the AirTable to ensure they are sensitive to the disability/mental illness you are wishing to see depicted.
Beta readers/viewers are required for each submission. You can self prompt when claiming, and you can claim multiple prompts as long as you submit each work before claiming a new prompt.
The Dates are as follows in MST/MDT:
March 15: Prompting Begins
April 8: Prompting Closes
April 15: Claiming Opens
May 31: Claiming Closes
June 17: Submissions Deadline
July 1: Posting Begins
July 31: Posting Ends & Fest Wrap-up
More Rules and Information to come, we hope you're as excited for this as we are!
Sincerely,
Your mods: @basicallyahedgehog (tumblr), @quackquackcey (tumblr), @slytherinthelibrary (tumblr)

Unforeseen and Unconditional Sacrifices: Chapter 1, Defying Expectations
Tumblr media
"Good evening, 47."
Diana's usual voice chimed in the agent's ear.
“I must say, I’m relieved that our target is living in such a congested city like Brooklyn. Makes it much easier for me to find viable network connections for our devices.”
He noted his environment. The outdoors exposed nothing especially noteworthy—a typical scene in a non-romanticized urban life. The dark sky barely illuminated anything around, the moon hazy and the stars nonexistent. Dirty posters of community events fluttered with the cool autumn air like tumbleweed. The sight contrasted coldly with what seemed to go on inside the target's home. The warm scene, viewed through the was illuminated by lamplights and veiled thinly by dark figures, not yet able to be identified completely. Perhaps what could've been a figment of the little match girl's imagination. Though knowing his usual marks, he understood that his target wouldn't be one to make such a dream come true, even with all the power they may have in the world. An old poster caught onto his shoe, struggling against the weak breeze.
“Angel does it again by writing and directing The Peach Kingdom ! Available in theaters-”
The agent released his foot on the poster, letting it take its course. Coincidental enough, his target indeed was the acclaimed playwright Angel.
Well, the upper crust understood her as ‘Daisy Bennett’, anyway. He wasn’t sure if that name was entirely hers anymore. Lawrence Bennett, former business tycoon and her late husband, had died just a few days ago. More importantly he was also a member of Providence, which made Daisy a high suspect for his successor.
It was the whole point of the mission in the first place.
47 noted the security guards posted at the front door, though this turned out not to be an issue. After scoping the perimeter, he found an open window that led to an open bathroom. He realized the vague stench in the air once he climbed through, though he wouldn’t be an assassin at all if he were bothered by such things. The strings of uncontrolled events have allowed this opportunity, and he was thankful for it, in his own way. Almost similar to how the leopard would find gratitude when approaching a calf strayed from its herd. The townhouse was much smaller than the past missions he's been dispatched to, which meant it would be harder to remain unnoticed.
The walls were lined with frames of all different shapes and sizes. Most were occupied with various works of art. Some, however, were left empty.
"I must say, it's quite rare for anonymous public figures to have such a meticulously maintained incognito status. Of course, that didn't stop me from finding out bits of her history--hardly textbook, though I suppose that's the case with all anonymous targets. It’s a bit suspicious that any trace of her visuals has been wiped clean. Especially with an... innocent alias."
He stepped into the lounge. The agent fit in well with the mild crowd—though it was a bit odd that a presumably young woman would throw a formal party for middle-aged individuals. The area itself was stylishly cluttered so that one may feel rather claustrophobic even without the people. He took note of the chandelier made of barbed wires and mason jars.
Barely heavy enough for pacification. Not worth it. He sauntered over towards the bookshelves, aiming to blend in as a guest. He leafed through the texts, its flaxen pages scratching against his gloved hand.
"She's a flower in a greenhouse at best, based upon what’s written on her records.  It's likely she's only a puppet of Providence—From what I note she barely has any business experience other than nonprofit collaborations. Nevertheless, I expect this to be an easy mission-" 47's eyebrows knitted faintly as Diana's voice cut to static. ICA equipment typically wasn't subject to trivial network issues, especially in such an urban area.
"Mic check, one, two, three..." The foreign voice was soft against his ear. His suspicions were confirmed.
"Well. You're here for me, right? I suppose I can't fight with that. You might have to get a bit more creative to reach me, though." The voice said. "After all, angels don't take kindly to sinners."
He offered silence as an answer. He wasn’t a man of small talk. She didn’t seem to mind, though, as she talked right on.
“A bit of a low move to try and kill a widow at her husband’s funeral, don’t you think?” He detected the slightest echo in the earpiece’s noise relay. He slid the book back in its spot and slunked around the ground floor of the apartment. Unless this apartment had a basement he didn't see from the blueprints, his target had to be located in some sort of bathroom.
“Speaking of Lawrence, I believe he’s talked about you once.”
‘How so?’ She paused as if he’d actually asked the question.
“Yeah, I believe he mentioned some creep who preys on trophy wives. Trying to fulfill some sort of messed up fantasy, y'know?"
47 could feel the shit-eating grin through the earpiece.
The only other bathroom was occupied by an elderly woman fixing her makeup who had jeered at 47 when he barged in.
“Goodness sake, don’t you know how to knock?!”
‘Voices don’t match. Turn back at once, agent.’ Angel’s giggle drummed against his ear as he returned back out the hallway.
“Gotta choose one, dude. Can't be an old lady perv AND a professional hitman, can we?" She tut her tongue.
He approached the staircase, guarded by security. The man blocked his entrance, extending his palm out towards him.
"Sorry sir. Friends and family of the widowed only. Do you have anything to prove your relation to the madam?"
A prerequisite was expected, though unfortunately 47 didn't prepare for the question. He held one hand to his ear to muffle the earpiece's mic.
"I must have left my cell phone in the parlor. I'll return soon." His tone was stoic as ever. Still, the average person failed to be keen enough to garner enough suspicion from it to actually do something against him. He walked out of sight from the bouncer, instead opting to head towards a less occupied direction.
Though it took the risk of sauntering through a catering-occupied kitchen (taking off his suit jacket provided a rough disguise through the busy area), he found the room he was looking for. The utility closet was cooped with laundry devices, pipes, and general items you wouldn’t want to boast to your guests. 47 only cared for the fusebox, however, as he shot the locked case open with his silverballer. A small, cardboard box fell over and spilt its contents upon the bullet’s contact on metal.
A copy of Lawrence Bennett’s death certificate, a velvet capsule containing both a golden band and a diamond ring, various receipts dating back to 2001, and other puzzle pieces 47 could not put together. One of these was a wedding photo of a man at the cusp of his elderly stage and a much younger woman. Though he had never caught sight of her before, he could recognize her instantly.
Daisy Bennett.
She appeared much different from what he had expected. The East Asian woman did not carry the air of riches and assumed power most of his targets had. In fact, the figure could be better labelled as a girl rather than a full-fledged woman, despite her form-fitting dress and mature makeup. Her expression read stoic and indifferent, yet her white-knuckle grip on the bouquet told otherwise. The agent’s arctic eyes softened ever so slightly. The entirety of her reminded the agent of-
Victoria. She reminds me of Victoria.
The backside of the photo revealed pencil scratchings in flighty penmanship.
June 18th, 2004
There is no turning back
on a social contract. .
“Don’t tell me you’ve given up already.” the voice teased.
47 gingerly placed his findings inside his sleeves for safe keeping.
“Trust me. I’ll find you.” He replied, before throwing his earpiece into the washing machine. He flicked off the knobs on the fuse panel that powered the second floor, and prompted the washer to run before leaving the room.
As expected, the guard had taken off to figure out the source of the growing complaints. Knowing he wouldn’t be gone from his post forever, 47 slipped through the unsuspecting folk and climbed up the stairs.
The area he had stumbled into held a different atmosphere compared to what went on downstairs. A much more youthful set of guests were in attendance. In fact, hardly anyone 47 saw were around his own age. He never thought much about it anyway. As his health assessment in Hokkaido indicated, his age was simply chronological. It was sure enough, however, that the witnessed demographic hadn’t experienced any wrinkles upon their skin as of yet. This fact became even more clear as the lights returned to illuminate the floor.
“Hey, man!” 47 turned to face the stranger. The fellow pushed his frames up his nose, to which the agent realized had no lens inside of them.
“Guess there was a bit of a power outage, huh?” He chuckled casually. The agent offered a curt nod.
“So, I haven’t seen you around before. Are you a friend of Angel’s?”
“I’ve worked with her.”
“Associate, huh? Gotcha. Yeah, I’ve been on the writing team for one of her musicals. Have you watched Eau de Toilette before?”
“No.”
“Cool,  cool…” the man scratched his arm and looked down at his loafers, before talking again. “Pretty sad what happened to Angel’s husband. I’m not even married yet, but I really wouldn’t know what I’d do if my partner just stopped existing…”
“Do you know where the bathroom is?”
“Oh! Yeah!” He gestured towards the door secluded at the end of the hallway. “I think Angel is using it right now, though-”
47 didn’t wait around to make more small talk, as he ambled straight towards his goal.
Sure enough, a figure of long hair worked at a laptop balanced on a sink. The agent seemed to be too eager to finish the mission, however, as when the body hit the bath tiles after pacification he realized the figure had a mustache. He dragged the body into the tub and dragged the curtains shut, before checking out his screen. Sure enough, there was evidence that the man had hacked into the ICA device and overridden the control panel for the earpiece. 47 disabled the program used, allowing Diana to connect back onto the devices. The earpiece had to be disposed of, but at the very least the handler would be able to watch his surroundings through the hidden camera.
The man’s phone lit up with a notification.
VINMO: SH has sent you $850.00 with a memo!
💻 🦾
As he pocketed the device, 47 noticed a cool breeze coming from the open window. A small figure in the distance seemed to stare up at him, before disappearing down a corner.
The agent shimmied down the adjacent pipe and took off towards them.
He found himself in the midst of a quiet shopping district. Most of the establishments were closed until sunrise, and places that were open remained few.
The dimly lit bars and lounges did not host any clients that matched his target. He stepped out of the nearly empty tattoo parlor, racking his head on where she might have gone. Brooklyn was a large city. She could be hopping from one place to another, or have gotten out of town altogether. Hell, with the sort of money she would have inherited from her late husband she could be on an airplane right now, going to who knows where.
As 47 thought of his next course of action, the hacker's phone lit up with another notification.
One text from: SH
"Hey, you alright?"
The agent skimmed their past conversations, before responding.
"yuppers. wbu?"
"A lil stressed. All good tho lol"
"dw. anything else u need me to do"
"If you could tell Molly how much I appreciate her that would be amazing🥺 also I think I may have lost her keys😭"
"lmfao gotcha"
47 scrolled through the stranger's contact list, filtering through the "M" section. He soon found the "Molly" he was looking for and filtered through their conversations.
"Thanks so much for the website update! Looks amazing."
"had to. circlespace doesnt have the best UI imo. changed your url too"
He pressed the embedded link, bringing him to a website for a stationery shop. Keeping the provided address in mind, he sauntered briskly towards the building he was looking for. As soon as he saw the darkened store he cut into its alley. He didn't have to shoot the lock this time. The target's missing key was still stuck into the knob.
The warmer air greeted him softly as he stepped inside the seemingly empty store. The streetlights outside barely irradiated the floor. The darkness proved to be helpful, however, as 47 easily noticed the light under the door beyond the shelves of writing utensils.
He didn't make it halfway until he felt something cold against the back of his head.
"Hey, you creep."
He recognized the voice.
"Daisy Bennett."
"You'd know that's not my name."
"What else should I be calling you?"
She pressed the gun against his skull.
"I don't think it matters anymore."
Despite her calm demeanor, 47 could feel her rapid pulse through the vibrations of metal tapping against his skin. His mind ran through different routes he could go about this situation.
"You'll hear my name in court, anyway." She spoke with an effort for confidence.
Turns out he didn't have to worry about a headshot, after all.
"You're the one threatening me with a firearm."
"This is self-defense. You've left me no choice." She took a deep breath. The agent felt her heartbeat slow ever so slightly. "Who hired you? One of Lawrence's children? Lafayette Productions? Providence ?"
"It's unlikely such an organization would kill off their newest associate."
"IS THAT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT?!" She roared. Her pulse spiked, and he could practically see her hand tensing up around the grip.
It was his turn to strike. He flipped around with the intention of knocking her to the ground.
"I'm not part of that STUPID allia-" she choked on her words as she felt herself off balance, dropping the pistol to the ground.
47 had made a mistake.
He haphazardly extended his hand towards her waist and spun her around. His body crashed into the shelf behind him, pouring the hundreds of pens and pencils onto the ground with a giant crash. The woman's forehead smacked against his chin, though he couldn't focus on any sort of pain at the moment.
It was silent for a while.
The former target remained frozen in his arms, until he tapped her arm to get up. She rose quickly and straightened out her shirt, before offering a hand to help him up. The agent ignored it as he stood up himself. Aside from the mess their collapse had made, both seemed to be largely uninjured.
The woman rubbed her forehead.
"Are you alright?" She asked.
"I'm fine."
Another moment of silence.
"You better help me clean up."
The evening turned to night as the store’s digital clock struck 12. The agent reassembled the broken shelf, and his former target cleaned up the broken products and picked up the usable remnants. They worked without talking, with the occasional laughter and passing conversation interrupting their otherwise consistent quietness.
"It's Sarang, by the way." Sarang broke the still air. 47 looked up from the ground to face her, his hands working diligently without his attention. He recognized its meaning.
"Is Daisy from The Great Gatsby ?"
She shrugged.
"It was his favorite novel growing up, apparently." Her voice softened.
47 left his portion of the compensation by the cash register, along with Molly’s key.

Sometimes I feel funny about enjoying my life since I live and work in my hometown. I'm currently sitting in an office about 2 miles from the hospital where I was born. Growing up, everyone told me to leave, because there's nothing here.
I'm not so sure about that now, a decade after moving home. There's whatever we build and maintain here. We romanticize flight from the places we know. And that can be great. Broadened horizons, cultural encounters.
But everywhere needs lawyers. And nurses, teachers, custodians, construction workers, short haul truckers, grocery clerks, restauranteurs, and artists.
And you really can have broader horizons in your own backyard. I had an arepa for lunch made by the sweetest and most enthusiastic Venezuelan woman, who started her restaurant because a local small business incubator works with a Latine education center. I take art classes from talented and passionate people who have built an institution that offers everything from loom weaving to oil painting to welding to glass blowing. I'm a short drive from a dozen gorgeous lakes.
The difference an individual can make in a smaller city like this is more substantial and the community bonds are different. I never really felt like part of the campus community at my last school- I was set apart to evaluate and judge. Here I'm integrated, I build relationships, I'm anything but anonymous.

Hong Kong people's "Stockholm syndrome" towards colonisation history(?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(It's only a sharing about the colonisation issue in Hong Kong. I can't speak for Indians, Africans, Australian, Scottish & Irish people. Colonialism is a cruelty, it's the darkest page of history.)
History of Hong Kong is complicated and the identity of "Hong Kong people" is also complicated too.
Most Hong Kong citizens are not "natives" but the refugees from the rules under Chinese Communist Party. (Added that the natives Hong Kong people own tons of land in this city, most of them are rich as hell now. Just imagine you own tons of land in New York.) For a group of people experienced WWII, civil war, cultural revolution and losing their original homeland, the British Hong Kong is where they settled and rooted their identity. Then they experienced the booming economy and when Hong Kong becoming the Asia wealthiest international city from a fishing village. (And yes, free education with English classes - that's why I can communicate in English)
Tumblr media
Do Hong Kong people feel like they are "Chinese"? Almost nobody in Hong Kong under 30 identifies as“Chinese". But then who are they? None of us experienced the Opium Wars but prosperity, laws & orders and freedom were so real, which people can relate to. The colonisation history became one thing people can identify themselves and differentiate themselves from "Chinese".
Circumstances have changed dramatically since 1997 in human rights, freedom of speech & expression after the handover. Is independence a choice? It's THE FUCKING COLUMNIST PARTY. It may only happen when something like dissolution of USSR happen in China. I can only dare to say this because it's an anonymous account and I’m not in Hong Kong currently... A lot of young people are now in jailed because what they published or publicly said. It’s how columnist party works.
So People here tend to romanticize the colonial period and experience, some even want UK to takeover Hong Kong again. Is it pathetic? Yes, maybe. But it's their only form of escapism. Is it a "Stockholm syndrome"? Yes, maybe but they are all humans. They are just a group of desperate people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I built this blog for sharing & discussing about manga, esp Rumiko Takahashi's works. Writing about political can be sensitive and irritating to some people. But after the AO3 election issue, I feel like politics and cultural shocks are EVERYWHERE, even in fandom. And interestingly, the America-centric mind & critics are often found in manga fandom too, eg: a manga is "bad" and "boring" just because the Americans didn't get the jokes, "and obsession towards exotic cultures, etc. Some of them are just so IGNORANT and embarrassing to see. What bothered me is: whenever things happen, Americans are always the noisiest. They care things for few days without much in-depth understanding and without asking how & why people think or feel. But still, I love talking to people from different cultures, both online or in-person. Love and sympathy are always inside people's cores, no matter what's their nationality, stands and even fandom. Tumblr can be a window to say something or record something about a place I lived and I always love. Ya....Just in case you are interested @artistefish @inusmasha
