I think I just might memorize this. It's so beautiful with just a bit of sorrow and haunted longing.

Alright y'all.
I know I made it seem like I was back for good but I'm leaving again-- I think this time for good, unless it's on a separate account to promote my book only. No one did anything, it's just I have a lot on my plate that I'm not used to and life isn't slowing down for me anytime soon.
I tried to add to some of my series on here, but I just lacked any and all motivation to do it. All of my writing energy is packed into my novel series, and that's in my spare few minutes of free time.
I might pop back on here from time-to-time to say hi.
I'm leaving my blog up, of course, so that my stories don't disappear on you guys, I just won't be active anymore. If any of you follow me on tiktok, it's purely a platform for my novels, not anything else.
To my followers, you guys are the best. I remember my first story on here, Batons and Unicorns, driving everybody nuts and blowing up. That was pretty cool. Thank you all for making my time on here memorable and exciting.
To my mutuals and friends, you guys were there for me no matter what and we had a ton of fun times together. I'll never forget any of that. In a time where I was really struggling y'all were still present. Thank you guys; I'll pop back in occasionally to say hi, since tiktok is solely for my book I won't do much (if any) communicating on there.
Without either mutuals or followers, I doubt that my writing could be what it is now.
But now, I've got to go. Thank you all for a lovely journey, but now it's time for me to move on.

I'm really glad I ended up finally reading and watching LOTR last year. I got married and moved out, two things that are pretty big life changes, where you hope things will be okay, but they aren't guaranteed, and regardless of outcome, end up changing who you are as a person. Watching a story where the stakes were higher, where Mordor was defeated, but coming home to to find everything the same except themselves. I know that regardless of what happens with me and my life, a visit home would feel similar. When I first really took in that major theme it became clear to me almost immediately why this story is considered so timeless. We can't go back to childhood bedrooms or carefree days unburdened by adult responsibility. Those things I think are worth protecting, as most of middle earth acknowledges with the hobbits, but its the hobbits themselves who acknowledge their own changes, mostly good ones even, that prevent them from living as they once did where they once were, that prevents them from ever going back.
It just makes me feel like even if something happens now, something I can't change about the world or myself, that I'll still find the strength to go on, even if I need to mourn my past self first.

"Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet."

I confess, of all the LOTR poems, this one might be my favorite.

Sindarized poem number three: The Road Goes Ever On
Tumblr media
“The road goes ever on and on down from the door where it began now far ahead the road has gone and I must follow if I can
pursuing it with weary feet until it joins some larger way where many paths and errands meet and wither then I cannot say.”

'I evidently came back by much too straight a road from my trip. I think Gandalf might have shown me round a bit. But then the auction would have been over before I got back, and I should have had even more trouble than I did. Anyway it's too late now; and really I think it's much more comfortable to sit here and hear about it all. The fire's very cosy here, and the food's very good, and there are Elves when you want them. What more could one want?
