Scar as Petronel and Grian as Uriáš. Could work both ways so well but Scar fits Petronel SO MUCH
Petronel is clumsy, he stumbles over his words, he's silly, he's the "silly" and "incompetent" one amongst the angels (angst potential ehm)
Uriáš is the one doing most of the teasing and seems like he could fit Scar so well too and I can't decide which option is better tbh but KDVKKSGK
Now okay
Hear me out-
Scar as Petronel (the angel), Grian as Uriáš (the "demon", I don't think čert has an exact translation) and Mumbo as the lady they're singing to (I forgot her name I am so sorry-) with the daughter being Grumbot
(Also for my Czech speaking peeps out there- "Ty zmetku pekelná" is something scar would say 100%. And it would turn from an insult into something more affectionate-)
This will make almost no sense to a lot of people but GRRRRRR
from the first movie- scar getting threatened by spending the rest of his eternity in hell and getting turned into a human and "make one sinner good" is so djvkrkgke
And grian following him because god told him to and he can't exactly say no- (3rd life vibes-)
Just grian begrudgingly following and keeping an eye on scar who has NO IDEA how to be human and how hard it actually is to be a human and just AAAAAAAA
made a sacrilegious tntduo au where wil is a mix of lucifer n adam and q is just. lilith
oops? 👉👈
summary of the au under the cut
[let me just say i had to do it to em I HAD to. cwilbur is so lucifer coded and cq is ALSO lucifer coded, but he's ALSO LILITH CODED]
[lucifer being god's most beautiful angel and leading the war against heaven and his fall parallel to l'manberg and pogtopia. lilith's fleeing from the garden of eden and adam parallel to cq making a coalition with schlatt instead of Wilbur in the elections. their sin of pride being the death of them and the themes of the deadly sin of lust shaming the sexuality of lilith and q. sorry.]
BUT THE SUMMARY OF THE AU is that tntduo is kind of adam and lilith. instead of humans, they're an instance of angels (holy creations built to serve god) that were sent to live in a newly built earth instead of heaven beside god. let's call them avians. theyre meant to found a paradise, and cwilbur (adam) is made in god's image (crowgod man maybe) and therefore the most beautiful creation, given most of the pressure n development of pride to create paradise. quackity doesn't like how he's treated when wilbur is blinded by his pride and insecurity, so he runs off one day.
when angels (probably ctechno) are sent after him and tell him he must come back or he'll be banished from paradise, he realizes he doesn't truly have freedom or respect in all of this. he refuses, and is demonized for denying the higher plan. wilbur is distraught, and sooner rather than later a new avian is introduced, clearly to replace his ex companion
(it's sally she has blue heron wings and she's eve and she follows a similar path to q seeking higher knowledge and progress n evolution and wilbur does move on n love her and love their son fundy but he also understands where q and sally were coming from with their disobedience towards higher authorities and he had sally's back but he understands now that he wants to change paradise n he wants to change heaven)
I'm still figuring out their demonized designs for the au as well as what happens next, but lilith was the first to enter hell. then lucifer and his army followed. there's a lot of confusion as to who is satan, ruler of hell. supposedly it would be the creator of hell, but who created it first? lucifer or lilith? i want this angsty yip yap of them being the "monsters" of this world, the root of all evil, symbolized by their shameful pride and lust(in addiction and casino self indulgences). at the end of their story they find each other again. aight ty for coming to my tedtalk 😊
Analysis under cut! Tw religion and suicidal thoughts
This stanza depicts the Foundation’s false removal of Tommy from Philza’s Collected.
The first line speaks of the symbolic marriage of the church to Jesus. This aligns with Tommy’s dynamic with Philza as one reciprocally devoted to a god. However, it is a relationship that is seemingly severed. In reading the bland document, Tommy’s self deprecating thoughts appear in red between the lines. Tommy believes he isn’t providing a ‘dowry’ i.e. he doesn’t believe he is able to make up for the burden he is on Philza. The line (the pyrite is showing through) is two fold. It represents both Tommy thinking Philza has finally seen through him as well as the false nature of the Foundation’s forged contract.
Tommy imagines Philza disguising hurting him through acts of affection, as shown with Philza embracing him even as he claws Tommy open. This reflects how later Tommy finds Philza’s physical affection painful even after realizing he wasn’t really unCollected. He associates the affection as a precursor to pain that’ll only make it hurt more when Philza truly abandons him.
Lastly, (It won’t buy you that empty tomb) is paired with an image of Tommy in his Grey period as a result of being abandoned. If the empty tomb -i.e., resurrection, a deliverance from tragedy- cannot be earned, instead you’re left with a filled tomb, alluding to Tommy becoming suicidal.
I think dsmp TNT duo are both Weird About Religion but not in a religious guilt way. Quackity thinks all of his bad decisions have divine endorsement and Wilbur is an atheist despite his mom being a literal goddess
thinking about how cricket digs himself so deeply into a pit of his own grief that by accident he makes cicada into a sort of god. something to cling to, something to revere, something to be devoted to so that the hardest days feel like they may someday become worth it. cicada never asked for that and cricket would never admit it, because he doesn't believe in god. he doesn't believe in god but he does believe in cicada and they've gone so far beyond reason that, in cricket's eyes, it's almost impossible to distinguish one from the other. and promises are sort of like a prayer, aren't they?
since the day i started to listen taylor swift's albums in chronological order i thought about how DL!Scar would love some of the songs. he's a swiftie in my mind.
This is a short multi-chapter story I wrote for @mcytblraufest where I explore the concepts of the scapegoat and the lost child in dysfunctional environments, but made it religious.
I believe that Wilbur Soot, unwittingly, but nevertheless cleverly, referenced the Mormon belief of Jesus Christ sailing to Utah. This is in line with his death and revival, therefore both him and his brother Tommy are references to Christ.
I mentioned this briefly last night in my last big post so here it is: The Ashe&Grey to Kei&Go parallel meme. I would’ve done a compare and contrast chart instead of listing out all the parallels but last time I did it the resolution was even worse then these 💀 besides just pointing out the similarities is funnier since I’d say overall their vastly different characters- but these baseline similarities I can’t help to notice even if I doubt it was a reference on ZXs part to Armageddon. Moral of the story they'd all be besties probably. (Also I’m going to ramble in the tags once more-)
