I’ve been reading a series where a guy is in a near identical situation to Katara was in The Southern Raiders. But what I find interesting is that no one really tries to stop him and the fandom considers it completely justified. I can’t help but think despite it being two different series and fandoms that Katara’s gender has at least something to do with this. When a male character wants to seek revenge and kill the murderer to do it, the narrative and fans justify it but when it’s a female character she’s vilified, seen as out of control and letting her emotions get the better of her. I hate when people say Aang was right to say what he did and try to stop Katara from making her own choice. It doesn’t help that we know Bryke is misogynistic based on well everything to do with their female characters post series after they didn’t have the talented writers who actually understood the characters helping them. And sure I know Bryke themselves didn’t write The Southern Raiders but we know from script leaks that there were more shippy Zutara moments that were cut and I think we know who’s to blame for that. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they still influenced the more problematic parts of that episode. Such as Aang and Katara never talking about or resolving their conflict, Sokka calling Aang wise beyond his years and never talking about or resolving his side if things with Katara, and even Zuko weirdly agreeing with Aang at the end that “you were right about what Katara needed.” Even though she literally just told Aang a second ago that he was wrong and she would never forgive him and doesn’t know why she couldn’t kill him. If you couldn’t tell I have rather mixed feelings about TSR episode.
Sorry for the ramble. How do you think their conversations (Katara, Aang, and Sokka) would go if they were to talk about it all after the episode?
oh misogyny definitely plays a part - just compare the way people react to inigo montoya from the princess bride vs katara in tsr - but i think the bigger issue is the overt narrative framing of the episode.
on a first watch, tsr appears to push a very simplistic idea of "violence = bad" and strongly favours aang's perspective, which encourages the viewer to see him as being in the right while katara and zuko appear to be in the wrong. the fact that aang never changes his perspective and both zuko and sokka are (forcibly and very uncharacteristically) made to take his side by the end naturally inclines the audience to do so as well.
it's only with a closer reading that you see a more nuanced take which highlights the flaws in aang's thinking and treatment of katara. katara herself makes it clear that what aang wanted her to do would not have helped her find closure, and she began her healing process without ever forgiving yon rha - which is exactly why i hate people attributing her decision not to kill yon rha to aang when she explicitly stated she did not and would not ever do what he wanted her to!
these are the same people who will also blame zuko for being a "bad influence" on katara, as if the only reason she hunted down her own mother's killer is because zuko convinced her to do it. katara isn't some weeping willow to be bent to the will of zuko and aang; her decisions are her own, not based on the whims of the boys in her life. can we please stop stripping katara of all her agency in the one episode that actually focuses on her trauma and healing?
rant aside, i do wish that katara had talked to sokka after this episode and i imagine there would be some apologising on both sides. sokka - a realistic sokka, because my god was he wildly out of character - would probably check in on her and admit that he was afraid for her safety and well-being. katara would likely apologise for the "you didn't love her the way i did!" remark and i think it would've been nice for them to finally talk about kya and for katara to bring up the conversation she overheard from the runaway about how sokka confessed to seeing her as a surrogate mother.
(imo the impact hearing that would've had on katara was largely downplayed in the show, and is likely part of the reason she reacted to sokka the way she did in the southern raiders, but that's a post for another time.)
the katara-aang conversation would probably have gone the same way that it did in canon, because the issues with their dynamic in tsr are part of the underlying problems with the kat.aang relationship in general. i would've liked to see aang have a little more of a reaction to katara saying she never forgave yon rha (he doesn't seem affected at all in the show), and for that to maybe prompt him to really reflect on what he said.
but ultimately what really has to be tackled here is aang's idealization of katara and his focus on clinging to air nomad values at the expense of those from the other nations - and those problems run too deep to be fixed in a single episode or conversation. the southern raiders would have been a good starting point, but unfortunately the finale never engages with these issues, and so what could've been a great arc ends up going nowhere at all.

i’ve seen a couple lavender marriage stobin posts, but what about lavender dating stobin?
they’re both way too young to get married — robin’s parents especially would be shocked, and, well, steve’s parents would just be shocked by his choice. but maybe when robin goes back to school after summer ‘85, all the girls in her grade are asking how she possibly landed steve the hair harrington.
and she’s soooo sick of it. she’s sick of telling someone that they aren’t dating and getting asked the same question by another girl the very next period. she’s sick of the way they treat steve like a prize to be won and not a human being and let’s be honest, a dingus. and she’s sick of the way everyone is scandalized by the thought of him dating HER because at some point, it kind of just hurts her feelings!
and she goes on a rant one day in front of a whole group of people about how basically, none of them ever stood a chance with steve, because they didn’t see who he really was and they didn’t treat him the way he deserved to be treated and she could totally land a hottie like him if she actually wanted to, for the record, and that she’s sick of everyone harassing her over it and making her (and steve) feel like zoo animals behind thick glass.
and everyone is staring at her, and oops, she didn’t say they were dating, but these normies wouldn’t understand the concept of platonic soulmates even if she tried to explain it. so they all think she’s dating steve.
“everyone thinks we’re dating, steve,” she grumbles when he picks her up from school that day. and, well, she wonders what could possibly have given them the impression that they were dating, when he picks her up from school like he does every day, and tosses her a little candy bar, the kind she likes, probably because he saw it at the gas station and thought she’d want it and just. bought it. because he loves her.
steve looks at her. “uh, yeah?”
because this is not actually news. dustin has been convinced they’re dating for months, and she’s been complaining about the kids at school for weeks.
“no, like, they really believe we’re dating now.” she cringes. “uhh. i might have said something that implied we were.”
steve snorts.
“not on purpose!” she cries.
steve snorts again. “doofus.”
“shut up, dingus. it’s a problem! i was, you know, defending your honor—” a third snort “—and i just didn’t deny our relationship like i normally do, and everyone took that as— admission.” her hands fly around her as she talks.
steve is silent. she looks at him. he’s thinking. hard.
“well,” he says, “that wouldn’t be… the worst thing. right?”
“what.”
“i just mean, if we were dating—”
“LESBIAN, steve!” robin points to herself.
“i know! i know, jeez-us. if everyone thought we were dating, like, actually, that could solve some of our problems.”
“explain.”
“like, i keep striking out, but that’s ‘cause i’m not really interested in hooking up with girls who aren’t looking for anything serious anymore. and you said i should try to be single for a while, ‘be comfortable with my own company’ or whatever—”
“it’s healthy!”
“sure! yeah, whatever! so i could be single with you, and you, you could, you know, you’d be a little safer. i could be your… goatee.”
“beard.”
“that.”
“although, i don’t know, maybe for lesbians it is a goatee.”
“rob, we’re getting off topic. my point is, we could… we could be dating.”
robin considers it. “you want to fake date.”
“not like, actually fake date. like, i’m not taking you to the diner and sharing a milkshake with two straws after we see the latest john hughes.”
“steve, we have literally done exactly that.”
“oh. right.”
“wait,” robin says, “wait wait wait. we have literally done exactly that.”
“right,” steve says.
“steve, are we…. are we already fake dating?”
it’s steve’s turn to consider it. “wait, are you the reason i keep striking out?”
“hey!”
“kidding!”
anyway. they talk it out a bit more, and robin warms up to the idea. because steve isn’t wrong, she would be safer if people thought she had a boyfriend. she had never dated a boy before. and dustin might lay off of steve for a little bit if steve admits he was right. (steve groans, loudly, at the idea of ever admitting to the little genius that he’s right.) and they don’t have to make some huge announcement to the world, posting it on the school’s bulletin board for everyone to see.
but maybe robin would stop getting weird looks in the locker room if she had a boyfriend to prove people wrong.

nabrrie replied to your post "I thought I was the only one who was weirded out by…”
@ingravinoveritas thanks for the answer and sorry for the rant in your askbox, but your blog feels like a safe place. I wouldn't discuss this on other socials bc I don't have the strength to deal with GT fans. To be an unplanned child is a topic that I still discuss in therapy, so seeing it treated so lightly by a mother as excuse to brag about her sex life disturbed me. Interesting that who claims it's wrong to ship D/M bc it's disrespectful to the kids is ok with this. And for that matter, she’s not a high school girl bragging about her boyfriend. The “I shagged DT and you didn’t” attitude is immature and out of place. You’re having sex with your husband… so? We know that you’re married. David is handsome and fans can be creepy sometimes, but she’s an actress, her father was the Doctor - she must know very well how to deal with the fans. I’m sorry if she feels insecure, but I don’t think she’s handling this very well. And, if she does feel insecure, I don’t think it’s about a bunch of strangers online… And you’re right, no mention of the word love whatsoever… (end of the rant, sorry)
@nabrrie No need to apologize at all! I'm glad you felt safe enough to rant in my inbox. The fact that people are refusing to see anything wrong with that caption solely because it was Georgia who posted it is disturbing to me. (I even saw one person say "If this was anyone else I would be disgusted, but Georgia is an icon.") If your first instinct is to be disgusted by that caption, it should not matter who wrote it. It should not matter that it's "British humor" because humor being British doesn't mean it also can't be wildly unfunny or even hurtful. And it's wildly hypocritical to me that these fans who rail against RPF and say how it could harm their children are the same fans who have no problem with Georgia writing a caption like that.
I've said this before, but it bears repeating: Georgia should not be immune from criticism simply because she is David's wife, or because she is an ally to the LGBTQ community. Being an ally does not mean someone can't be rude or a jerk, because human beings are complicated and can be more than one thing at a time. Calling her out for using her kid's birthday post as an excuse to brag about her own sex life is not some outrageous act--it's a reasonable response, particularly from people such as yourself who have experienced the consequences of being an unplanned child.
It's amazing to me how people have read things into her caption, or made assumptions because of it based on what they want to believe her and David's relationship is. I've seen people say it meant "They were madly in love when they had me," but the word "love" was never used anywhere in that caption. They were madly in drunk when they had her (or at least Georgia was), and that's all it takes to have a baby--two people having sex, whether they are in love or not. And at the end of the day, that is what her caption was actually about: Georgia letting us know that she is having sex with David and the rest of us are not.
But she clearly is insecure, because it looks like she actually did respond to one of the numerous tweets criticizing her this morning:
Tumblr media
So, let's take a step back here. She's over on Insta bragging about getting to shag David and how great their sex life is, but instead of actually shagging him, she is searching for her name on Twitter again and taking the time to respond to stuff like this. The paradox is quite something, really.
Also, the fact that she does not or cannot recognize that what she said in that caption is not normal seems to indicate that she thinks she can say and do whatever shes wants, regardless of who it affects or whether it sends her kids out into the world with a very skewed idea of what is "normal." Interestingly, though, I don't think we can say that she doesn't care what people think, because if she didn't, she wouldn't be searching her name (again) and looking for comments to which she can respond.
Whatever the case may be, I agree with you that whatever has her feeling insecure has nothing to do with people online (@irvinis has volunteered a particularly interesting theory on your original Ask). And for someone who has dealt with fans for so many years (as you also mentioned), she definitely is not handling this in the way you would expect. I guess we'll have to see if she pushes back against any of the other critical comments...

this is the rant i posted about john doe on twitter the other night
john doe as a character is so tragic because he has never known anything except from lunacy. he has only ever existed inside a literal madhouse, surrounded by the criminally insane, being told that his very nature is evil and wrong and something he needs to overcome all the while being harshly exposed to the realities of living with people who reflect your mental state so unapologetically. he had to watch people demonstrate behaviours he was told were forbidden, behaviours that HE yearned to act out and he didn’t even know why. he was never taught how to act around normal people. he was only taught to suppress his nature and be something he isn’t, and that’s why when he was let out, he couldn’t get a grip on the realities of a crime ridden city and had to turn to harley for security. he HAD to rely on other criminals because they did the things he was taught to be AFRAID of doing, without any consequences. and when he met bruce, who wanted to be like him, who wanted to help him, who had been in that SAME institution and yet was so successful and perfect, he fell into a bittersweet friendship. on the one hand, bruce cared about him and helped him with his problems and listened to him, things that no one had ever done before. on the other hand, bruce had ideas of justice and crime which contradicted john’s mental state and went against what his nature desired, with the added pressure of bruce’s secrets: being batman and being undercover as a ‘criminal’, getting close to the gang and john while actually working against them to bring them to his idea of justice. when john found out, not only did he instantly forgive bruce for keeping this secret, but he HELPED him to try to imprison those very criminals that helped him when he was released from arkham. and i think the reason he did this so easily was because arkham truly DID manage to break through to him, in some ways. they succeeded in internalising the idea that john had to be GOOD. he just didnt know what that ‘good’ meant, until bruce came along, a symbol of someone who had a black-and-white vision of right and wrong, good and bad, and who did the ‘right thing’ for others both in and out of costume, and he felt compelled to follow him in what he did: being his friend obviously influenced this decision too, because having a positive mindset about someone causes you to trust them as knowing better than you. and when he eventually goes on his murder spree under extreme stress and duress, he melts down because he thinks that not only has he let down bruce, he’s let down THE WORLD. he is reminded that he is NOT a functioning member of society, he is not NORMAL. he’s just like those other criminally insane people he was locked away with in arkham, he is no better than a crazed bloodthirsty lunatic, and nothing batman or bruce can say can change that. in that moment, john truly believes that he is doomed. if he can’t control his own actions, his own thoughts, his desires, his impulses, how the hell can he control himself while being batman’s accomplice? how can he keep a hold of himself when talking to his best friend, who makes him so excited and enthusiastic it’s hard to discern whether he’ll be able to control his violent tendencies whenever he feels strong emotion? john doe is uncontrollable. arkham can’t control him, harley can’t control him, the agency can’t control him, batman can’t control him, and he sure as hell can’t control himself. that’s what makes him so tragic. that’s what makes his story so sad, and so doomed. he was at a disadvantage from the start. he can’t function within the society that’s already built up around him and so he can’t function at all. so he chooses to let loose and do whatever the hell he wants, and where does it leave him? back where he started, in arkham, being taught the same lessons as last time, except now everyone treats him as though he’s stupider than he is and more dangerous than he ever wants to be.

SERIOUS EDIT: idk what i was on when i posted this and i seriously regret it i don’t even have an explanation (or at least one that doesn’t sound like en excuse) but just disregard it i’d delete it but it’s been reblogged and i rlly wish i never said this bc it’s nothing like what i think i wanted to say.
I don’t condone certain aspects of the Outlast lore edit: please read my reblog regarding what i say about Outlast 2 it’s not relevant to my point, plus this is just a rant about something stupid and specific plus i have no idea what i’m talking about regarding Outlast 2 for the most part plus i’m being hypocritical (namely the jessica thing i think it could have been done better and CSA didn’t rlly have to be a part of it to show religious trauma but i get it when you look at the big picture of Outlast and Outlast 2, it just could have been infinitely less graphic and still held the same weight) but literally it’s going too far saying shit like FOR EXAMPLE “making Richard Trager a rapist was unnecessary” Id argue it’s one of the only characters that like actually makes sense from a lore perspective and if you rlly get the character you’d understand why it makes sense. Idk how to say this without sounding like it’s a feature i enjoy about the character, I obviously don’t but like i cannot stand seeing my favorite characters misinterpreted and along with Eddie, Trager is one of the most misinterpreted characters in Outlast. He literally has 0 reedemable qualities, he’s an outright rich prick who never had to face any consequences his entire life, he’s been privileged since the day he was born, and anyone who tries to act like he has a good bone in his body is so wrong. I hate to say it (no i don’t lol) but he’s just plain evil and i love him for it. He’s not real, his actions have never hurt a real person please keep that in mind. The main story wouldn’t have happened the way it did if he never did what he did, they’d have to come up with a whole other backstory for him AND a reason women were removed. It’s a horror game with dark, explicit subjects due to the fact that they’re exploring such a unique subject, with characters who are mentally ill, affected by the engine, both or just plain terrible people and it obviously would have things that may trigger or make people uncomfortable, and that has to be up to you to decide to not think about it or indulge into content that might do those things. Do not bring cancel culture into fucking Outlast, do not try to babyproof it. Go watch other forms of media with lighter subjects and characters instead of acting like it’s the developers fault for creating characters and plotlines with the whole point to scare people, shock them, make them uncomfortable, etc or remaking the characters into something they’re not bc it doesn’t fit your idea of them. Rant over if I see one more person misinterpret Richard Trager i will start taking peoples eyes. (also more rants abt Rick’s character coming be prepped)
edit 2; this is being wildly misinterpreted as a discussion post or place to argue or share opinions and im not saying you can’t bc it’s a public post but the point was simply to share smthn i wanted to rant abt (for a reason btw) and i worded it pretty bad bc the point i was trying to make can be summed up way better by other people who agree with me in the reblogs and wish i didn’t post it. would appreciate no more reblogs and for those who reblogged before i turned them off pls also turn off reblogs if you see this por favor <3

Small intercept of what I planned
Beware this has just some of my ideas based onto one tumblr post- THIS IS NOT ALL MY IDEAS!!!
• the first chapter starts out with descriptions of running but with no reason why just wanna write a running scene lollll.
((Twigs snapped under Danny’s bare feet. Scrapes and scratches dug themselves onto his skin in a manner that only The Box Ghost level attacks could. His head snapped backwards as he reared towards a thick trunk of wood. His breathing escaped him in serval huffs and groans. He didn’t have time to stop. He couldn’t stop. Something was after him…The white suits were his confirmation that tonight had gone horribly wrong. Green lights echoed and groaned against the trees, shredding the bark around Danny. Tears threatened to fall against his deep neon green eyes. His lips curled up into a small scowl-his eyes half-lidded as he hurried into the gothic city..It must’ve been hours of running for as soon as he reached an alleyway and someone saw him..Dark..Dreams.No.Nightmares raged in his mind as his eyelids grew heavy falling into his person’s arms..Strange. They feel like him. Like himself. Like a halfa…
• Straight up- Jason summons Danny to be his date to a gala just to fuck with Bruce Wayne..
((The summoning was complete- why the God of The Dead wanted pop tarts and duck candles were beyond Jason. The markings, chalk, glowed a dangerous Lazarus green as the room dropped in temperature. Jason’s breath fogged and he felt heavy compared to the concrete warehouse. Ice and small burning stars etched onto thin air as if it were paper. A swirling void of green opened up on the floor by the chalk or rather in it…
“Sooo. You want me.Me? To go on a date with you?” Danny asked faking confidence. He was The Ghost King he can handle someone asking him out. Especially this tank of a man who when walks prolly his asscheeks slap.-Ok Danny calm your ass down!!
• Just straight up..
((Bruce Wayne had known Vlad Masters was a shady man, and had even shadier things going on in his life. Like how he mysteriously gained wealth in the sun of about 3 months-his net worth was now 19 million and while that was huge didn’t quite compare to Luther’s or Bruce’s himself. And yet when he got him to talk all he ever talked about was his Godson; one Daniel Fenton. Whom Vlad was apparently obsessed with. Me boy did Vlad talk about this boy. Of course at first he sounded like he generally cared about everything the boy did like he was often there, but it started to get creepier the more Vlad talked to Bruce. Now Bruce loved completing his children around others and making himself seem small compared to the rest of them, but even he didn’t go into obsessive rants about his children over the littlest of things—Like how Vlad got Daniel a telescope for the boy and in Vlad’s eyes he loved it and then raced about how good of a kid he was and that “Daniel’s father is a Baffon and *blah blah* Daniel must see everything I do for him is to keep him safe. Even going so far as to hurt him.” Poor Vlad “I’m obsessive over an almost 17 year old child and his mother” Masters about to get kicked in the face by Brucie “ I have a batcave in my basement and am ready to throttle people” Wayne.

i’ve already ranted about the ridiculous amount of hate build gets on twitter, but please, let me say again how childish and hypocritical things are getting. Let’s start from the beginning.
Weirdly enough, the vp photobook behind the scenes and a certain amount of vp content start to come out the moment rumor has it bible and build will get a new show for just the two of them (content that had been around since may apparently). Back then I thought they were starting to hint about a kp s2 focusing on vp, because that would have been smart. Clearly, I was wrong.
The announcement event starts, bible and build are revealed to be working with sammon on something very sammon-like. Sammon, for those who don’t know, is a prolific writer, and had some of her books turned into tv shows (Manner of Death and Triage, just to mention the most popular). She definitely does not need to plagiarize anyone.
One of the kp writer starts to go on a rampage on twitter, claiming she was betrayed by someone in boc and and unfollows build on twitter.
Reminder: a show has just been announced, but build is weirdly silent.
Couple of days pass, and guess what? The aforementioned writer withdraws from daemi house, stating she didn’t want her bad actions to reflect on her colleagues or something along those lines.
Today, Build decides to speak up about the issue and clarify everything and to apologize if unintentionally he hurt anyone. He stated that he never shared anything about 4 minutes, that he never stole ideas from the kp writers and that his relationship with them was over. Also, he apologized to the fans for all the mess that was going on even though really, he shouldn’t have. He literally did nothing wrong in this case. I also kind of appreciated the fact that he didn’t involve Bible (it could have been the easiest way) and that he mentioned it was a personal issue. He ends up breaking down because obviously getting continuous hate for something you said years ago will break anyone at a certain point, and when that hate gets revamped by people who you were kind of friends and colleague with, it just hit harder i suppose.
One would think that after all the shit the kp writers did to all the members of the cast, this time people would show reason and side with build, right? I thought something we all agreed on was that writers are trash m. Well, no, because some mile and apo stans decide it’s time to side with the writers because apparently poi talked about sa in her allegations (not directed to build, from what i gathered on twitter, but of course that wouldn’t matter if you’re keen on hating someone). Adding this later because i just got more info. Poi posted on her ig pictures of blood and injuries, hinting at the fact that she had been attacked. Guess what? The pictures had been downloaded from pinterest and she had to admit she was fine and nothing had happened. Again: disgusting behavior.
Now, my opinion on this matter is: the kp writers didn’t like to be sidelined by boc and first, they tried to bring the attention over them with the photobook, and then, poi decided to go for the jugular with her accusations. Attacking build is the easiest way to gain clout these days, everyone and their grandmas know that. If she’d tried something like that with mile, apo, jeff, barcode or bible, the whole kp fandom would have eaten her alive, but build? Build is an easy target, considering what happened in the past. Also, if she had actual evidence of what she claims, she would have brought them out and Build wouldn’t have had the guts to hold a public speech. We’ve been saying for months that poi and yok are dangerous, that the actors were uncomfortable when they were around and when one them actually speaks up about what’s going on (and clearly it’s not easy for him, because from what i gathered he was close to her), people need to go and be dickheads. The kp writers have been acting like they own the kp cast from the beginning, so it really doesn’t surprise me that exactly when the two actors who would have brought them the most money (let’s be real here, the moment vp raised, nobody really cared about the kp dynamic anymore) go and announce they’re working with a popular writer for their upcoming show, the female writer decide to feel betrayed and plagiarized? I find that suspicious, not going to lie. Also, there is the fact that build literally had a full break down, he was devastated. Who would like to be dragged through the mud the moment an important project of yours is announced? And to those saying he was faking it, i suppose you can believe what you want, but obviously it wasn’t something planned, it was clear not even bible was aware he was going to speak up.
At this point, i’ll cherish pete, vegad and kp s1 with all my heart but i really wish neither build or any of the cast will ever have anything to do with the writers anymore.
Edit: this post was written before poi came out with her screenshots. I legit don’t know what to think anymore, but one thing i can tell you for sure: until this whole mess well be cleared, i will not show any kind of support for neither of them
Edit 2: i will riot if build doesn’t get the justice he deserves

Update: I thought I’d send this in before mom and dad send in their lengthy rant. I mean email 🤣🤣. I have no problems answering questions, I didn’t want anyone to get the impression I had knowledge about their specific situation, although I wish I did! I left mostly because it began to wear me down, it’s not an easy business to work in and it really gets to you after a while. Everything a celebrity does, wears, says has a reason behind it. Jared’s sister not wearing her ring, Jensen wearing specific boots, Jared gravitating towards certain facial expressions, Jensen’s imaginary friend playing a ghost game, hell it goes down to the color of the shirt they’re wearing when they do appearances. Before I say my next statement, I do not know how their specific teams operate but this is how they would often operate in my experience. Let’s say Jared’s sister has something planned for Towwn and Jared is pushing back on attending so their team will give them incentives on making the appearance. Does that mean he’ll look happy and at peace? Absolutely not, but it got the traction they needed to push something bigger down the road. Every little moment they show us has to do with a much bigger picture and is a little stepping stone in the direction they’re headed. If I had to take a guess, this is just a guess, Jared is often pushed into doing events with his sister because not only do they want them to appear to be a happy couple but it has to do with his sister needing him to gain more attention. Without Jared she has no recognition, and their team can’t have one thriving and the other drowning, it’ll ruin the image they’ve created as well as the team’s future career. You have no idea how many times I had to tell someone, we’ll come him Kyle, that he had to wear a specific color because it’s a softer one and it’ll give his appearance a more at ease look. It’ll also make him more approachable given his erratic behavior as of late and allow the interviewer to feel that they’re going to get a story that no one else will. Does Kyle have a say in the color choice? Absolutely. But is it worth the backlash from his team? Absolutely not. They can be your best friends or your biggest enemies.
I thought I’d send this in before mom and dad send in their lengthy rant. I mean email 🤣🤣. I have no problems answering questions, I didn’t want anyone to get the impression I had knowledge about their specific situation, although I wish I did!
First of all thank you so much!
Second of all we all wish the same😂💕
I left mostly because it began to wear me down, it’s not an easy business to work in and it really gets to you after a while.
My assumptions weren't wrong, when I read Mom and Dad's email I assumed that was why.
Everything a celebrity does, wears, says has a reason behind it. Jared’s sister not wearing her ring, Jensen wearing specific boots, Jared gravitating towards certain facial expressions, Jensen’s imaginary friend playing a ghost game, hell it goes down to the color of the shirt they’re wearing when they do appearances
When I made the post about them having had like 4 or 5 versions of wedding bands people told me I was thinking too much and that was there was no reason behind it and I was like:
Tumblr media
Because ofc changing your wedding ring that amount of times is the most common thing in the world...😂
Let’s say Jared’s sister has something planned for Towwn and Jared is pushing back on attending so their team will give them incentives on making the appearance. Does that mean he’ll look happy and at peace? Absolutely not, but it got the traction they needed to push something bigger down the road. Every little moment they show us has to do with a much bigger picture and is a little stepping stone in the direction they’re headed.
Love that you are sharing your wisdom with us😭💖
If I had to take a guess, this is just a guess, Jared is often pushed into doing events with his sister because not only do they want them to appear to be a happy couple but it has to do with his sister needing him to gain more attention. Without Jared she has no recognition, and their team can’t have one thriving and the other drowning, it’ll ruin the image they’ve created as well as the team’s future career.
Lately I have been thinking that they are trying to prepare her for what is going to happpen when they get divorced, like when she wont have Jared by her side
Appearances are everything in the business😬

Hi Esther, I sent you an ask about Byronic hero Jon, and I'm soooo lucky you interpreted the ask the way I sent it, because I know anons can come off the wrong way and I realise it sounds like I'm ranting at you when I'm nodding along with you!!! 😭 Yes I sent you that ask because it's what you were already saying first, and you're completely right grounding it in Mr. Rochester terms and also of course you do have the famous Heathcliff. But I do think GRRM is doing his own thing with it, and to be honest the more I think about it, the more I wonder how it influences Jon's ending (or not). If anything Mr. Rochester's secret wife is more of a Rhaegar thing which Jon has to wrestle with, so I definitely think there's a mix of influences going on.
Although like you say, I think when you don't introduce this literary background you lose a lot about what is being said about Jon and Sansa (and Daenerys). I agree with people who say you need to understand fantasy of that era to really understand the tone of what he's going for, which is why I think GRRM is sometimes mean and sometimes writing one-handed, but I still think that background for Romantic characters is necessary.
It's no indictment on Jon if he has a long, moody face, and that's what I kind of love honestly. I think Rhaegar may have been handsome because he was both the crown prince and a Targaryen, and like Arianne expresses aversions to Targaryen features, it may have been divisive in its own way too, beautiful on the terms of conqueror-conquered. I especially enjoy the idea that Lyanna herself had that unusual wolf beauty to her, but beauty in women isn't a portent of safety after all; beauty is just another way girls and women are controlled, even if it superficially seems beneficial when attractive. So that there's some danger to beauty, and danger in Jon's face (Lyanna's, but maybe a hint of Rhaegar too?) hinting his ancestry but also disguising it through something that can be a comfort (Ned) for Sansa is really interesting to me.
(Continuation of this convo)
No worries, anon! For some reason, tumblr wouldn’t let me save, post, schedule for later, or add that post to my queue when I was writing it! I finally just exited the tab and when I got back on tumblr it would let me post an earlier, automatically saved version, as long as I didn’t try to edit it at all, otherwise I would have chatted more with you, because I had, in the version that wouldn’t post. 😅
I share your frustration with the fandom deciding that Sansa is shallow for being moved by beauty and then turning around and obsessing over poll results about whether or not their fav is pretty. I genuinely don’t care, but they clearly care a lot. 😂 I don’t like talking about the kids that way, I don’t think their appearance has anything to do with why we like them, but it just so happens that Jon and Sansa being very Stark and very Tully (look-wise) matters so here we are. And you’re absolutely right, Sansa has suffered a lot of unwanted attention because she is beautiful, so this isn’t exactly something Sansa fans take delight in.
We do get the different takes on Targ looks! For Rhaegar, I thought the emphasis was on his music as the thing that made people swoon? Martin has a thing with singers / someone singing a song seducing people that repeatedly pops up and that is the one thing we know about Lyanna’s feelings—his singing moved her. That’s a connection to Jon who reacts in a similar way to Ygritte’s singing.
I wasn’t even thinking about the secret wife thing being a connection between Rochester and Rhaegar, but bigamy was a popular trope in gothic lit and the sensationalist victorian lit that followed, so I definitely think that’s worth noting. As is the whole, family estate being destroyed in a fire, and of course, “madness.” That all would make me think the references are more about Rhaegar and Targaryen ancestry, less about projecting into Jon’s future, but depending on which spec you buy into, Jon could be in love with Sansa and forced into a relationship with Dany or potentially married to Sansa and still facing pressure from Dany to enter into a sexual relationship. If Martin wants to go dark, it’s possible the gothic “two wives” trope and the Targaryen two wives idea manifest in Jon’s own life with a twist. I still don’t see how the space for Jon and Dany to have much interaction so I’m not too fussed about it, but I certainly think it’s possible Dany sees Jon as an answer to her desire for someone to trust. 😬 Generally though, I don’t look at literary references as being a sure fire way of dictating how the story will go, but I think it’s fun to see how writers are knowingly or unknowingly influenced by certain things. I don’t know that Martin said “gothic lit has family estates burning -> I’m gonna send Summerhall up in flames” but nonetheless, there’s a reason why that would pop into his mind.
Thanks for the followup message, I enjoyed reading your thoughts on this!

Please tell me you are not still buying the mind control garbage in 2023. And no one has to do anything to "merit" someone being angry with them. Sometimes, when you feel hurt, you lash out! That's a way pain can work! In Thor Loki lashed out at the Frost Giants for the pain he felt about his origin and he lashed out at Thor for the pain he felt about not feeling good enough and in the Avengers he lashed out at Earth because of the pain he felt about everything leading up to that moment and he felt like Earth was something Thor treasured. Literally nothing in the Avengers hinted at Thanos controlling him that was just a bullshit fandom theory because everyone wanted to believe he couldn't do bad things of his own agency. But he could. Hurt people hurt people.
I never said he wasn’t emotionally messed up. His emotions were certainly out of control, he had a big breakdown in the first movie and definitely was still not okay in The Avengers. Yes, pain doesn’t always go hand in hand with being rational, you can get hurt and angry people who didn’t mean anything. Yes, he lashed out at the Frost Giants because of his origin. Yes, he took things out on Thor, though I’d say that his negative feelings about Thor had less to do with Thor himself and more to do with the culmination of centuries of being made to feel lesser than him thanks to Odin and other Asgardians (which is what I meant in the original post — not that someone necessarily has to do anything to merit another person having a negative emotional response towards them, but that Thor himself wasn’t the direct cause of the anger, it was pent up because of a million different things but not because of any specific thing Thor himself had done). Yes, in his warped state of mind there was satisfaction in attacking Thor’s beloved Earth, but it was still Thanos who sent him there.
I’ll give you those things, certainly. But The Avengers could literally only be clearer about Thanos’s influence if it put it in neon lights. I’m not saying he didn’t have some measure of control. I’m not saying he was 100% not at fault because he can’t do anything wrong ever. Most of his fans have never said that, but people sure like to spread the idea that his fanbase is just blind and thinks he’s a pure baby who could never do something terrible. We’re often the first ones to remind people about what he did to the Jotuns. For most of his fans it has never been about him being pure or something. Part of his appeal as a dynamic character is how messed up in the head he is. What it’s about is being objective and fair, no matter who it is.
The Avengers ABSOLUTELY shows what is going on. The idea that Thanos was behind it has never been a theory. It is in the movie, and Marvel themselves later confirmed in Infinity War that Thanos sent him, and clarified in a description on their official website that the scepter WAS partially impacting his mind and his feelings. Again:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t know what else I’m supposed to take this stuff to mean, especially, “He will make you long for something sweet as pain,” and Bruce outright saying that Thanos sent Loki to New York. This isn’t about trying to justify, redeem, or make innocent a character I like by applying a headcanon that takes 100% of the responsibility away. Looking at the facts in front of me and trying to be fair, no matter who it is, is just how I operate. As far as I’m concerned, the facts in front of me are that there was always more to this and that while Loki has done bad things of his own accord it’s still only fair to take into account the areas where it’s not all his fault.
Finally: please don’t come into my inbox and swear at me. I always tag my rants and put them under a read more for a reason — so that the people who won’t like them don’t have to see them. I try to stay in my lane when I’m bugged by something because I know not everyone sees things the same way. I only ask for the same level of consideration in return. You don’t have to anonymously come into a stranger’s inbox and be rude to them over something that wasn’t meant for you.

Clover Rants Miraculously: When all you have is a square peg...
Spoilers for the episodes Goob has aired out of order already (”Emotion”, “Pretension”, etc.) and the leaked finale, so if you’re one of those folks still waiting for the other part of Kwami’s Choice and the rest to air first, please do avoid this post or read with caution)
I don’t like the show’s message of “Not everyone will change/take your offers to be nice and use them”
Not because it’s a bad message (it can, if use/expressed correctly, be a fantastic message for kids), but because the way the show presents it is very bleak and meanspirited, even for a “mature” kid show.
Because it’d be one thing if Chloe and Lila (and Gabriel) were the sole exception of multiple attempts made across the board to other evil/antagonist adjacent characters - but they aren’t. All three are used to tell the audience that if you try and believe people have goodness inside regardless of their behavior, then bad people will just spit in your face for it while they stab you in the back, and it’ll be all your fault for not realizing it (Hell, Marinette trying to get Gabriel to be a good person and offering him a chance of redemption leads to him winning and getting the wish). We aren’t really given any alternative characters (Except maybe Zoe and Felix, who I’ll talk about later) to represent when giving chances does work, nor shown different methods to use when giving chances fails. We’re told it’s because Chloe and Lila don’t want to be good people, but we aren’t given any examples of how to either get around this or show mean characters who are willing to accept Marinette’s olivebranch when they get off on the wrong foot and provide examples of why it’s better to offer these sort of chances to people who want to change. And even then, it’s less about the method itself or the ideas behind it and more about how the two are souless monsters in human skin and treat their stubborn clinging to cruelty as a silly joke while being offended people dare pity them because don’t you know? These two are complete utter reprehensible garbage down to their core, so pitying them makes you also garbage!
Most situations like this would call for nuance, to explain why the method doesn’t work on those two specifically and how it’s not an issue all that easily solved, though it shouldn’t stop you from continuing to offer kindness when you can - Instead, however, we the audience have it repeatedly beaten into our head that we shouldn’t even try and have any pity for openly mean people because it’s wasted on them without any alternatives or exceptions to the rule being shown or explained. Chloe and Lila (and by extension the people represented by them (or who identify with their issues)) are just mean bad people for no reason even though they showed you those reasons actually and nothing can be done about them because they’re mean and bad and no one should help people like that - oh and don’t ever expect anyone (especially adults) to help you against them anyways because you’ll just be told to suck it up or have your friends take their side (which totally isn’t a terrible message to give to kids in show about magical superheroes fighting against evil /s). The message is worsened when you realize the heroine is repeatedly told to “be the bigger person” in spite of the show having no plans or intent on actually rewarding her for following its advice or providing her an alternate path once said advice proves insufficient towards her current issues with her bullies. The entire point of making Marinette (and Adrien) constantly ignore/”forgive” Chloe and Lila and having that fail is not for the sake of character growth, but to punish the idea that such a thing exists (particularly for “the wrong people”).
Meanwhile, the characters used to show the opposite don’t really count because technically - they didn’t change. They didn’t need the “chance to be good” because they were already being good anyways, so their “redemption” come off very flat/forced and unnecessary. Zoe was already nice so her “change” was just continuing to act like herself just now with a pink streak in her hair and being validated by the miraclass. This is not helped by the fact that most of her “evil” acts were both done off screen and are very minuscule (i.e. pretending to be a different type of person than who she was) in scale and damage compared to the legitimately mean/callous acts of Chloe and Lila; On the other side of the issue, Felix only changed after getting exactly what he wanted from/because of his bad behavior, and even then he was technically already “good” as well since his true motives cause all of his previous crimes to get recontextualized in “Emotion” and “Pretension”. The only thing he really needs is Kagami validating this to Marinette so he can be “trusted” and allowed to join the good guys. (and do note - I liked that Felix was unrepentant about how he screwed Maribug and all of Paris over in “Risk”/“Strikeback” and the reveal that all his actions were just some twisted form of love towards Adrien (and then Kagami) as a fellow Sentikid alongside all his trauma. It was, imo, a very good twist (not well set up, but good). My main gripe comes mostly with the show using this to sweep the entire sentibeing debate and kwami theft conflict under the rug because they didn’t want to deal with the plotpoint they introduced again)
(I want to say Nathalie sort of counts as she did have an on-screen gradual change of behavior - but that’s less because of her “being given the chance to be good” by another party and more her getting fed up with Gabriel’s incompetence/him showing he genuinely considered her (and later Adrien) completely expendable chess pieces in the face of his grudge against Ladybug. Same deal with Sabrina too.)
And maybe that’s not what they were trying to say with the Chloe/Lila stories, but that’s how they ended up coming off to me. Plus...idk man. Having a magical girl show tell me “People can’t change/become better and if you believe that you’re stupid and dumb” feels kind of counterproductive considering the whole genre is built on the idea that your enemies are people too and can be turned into good friends with a hug and some free therapy (and maybe some sparkly punches if you feel up to it).

does anyone else have like, super contradicting gender/sexuality labels? like i call myself a nonbinary transmasc demigirl and a lesbian (long post ahead)
i use transmasc VERY loosely here because i started transitioning at 13, and, in some ways, masculinity is integral to my identity, but i also do not identify as a man at all. i think the best, albeit still confusing, way to describe it is that i identify as somewhat masculine, but not in a man way
i think that part of the reason why i still keep transmasc as part of my labels is because i solely identified as a boy from when i realized i was trans after starting puberty (so at around 11) to when i realized i was nonbinary when i was around 17, and now i feel like i have to keep the transmasc label around for some kind of self (or honestly even social) validation of my transness. the discourse surrounding afab nonbinary people that’s been rapidly increasing recently definitely doesn’t help (for the record, they’re all valid). it’s really hard to accept myself when i see so many people invalidating people who have similar identities to me
my gender is so unstable and constantly shifting, but since i realized i was nonbinary, i’ve been slowly “reclaiming my femininity” for lack of better words. within the past month or so, it’s gotten to the point where i identify most strongly with femininity, but also nothing at all at the same time. being nonbinary, maybe agender, is the core of my identity, but i’m slowly becoming more comfortable with the idea of presenting and identifying as something girl adjacent recently. it feels different now that it’s something i want rather than something that was forced onto me from birth
don’t get me wrong, i do not regret transitioning, and i’m definitely not detransitioning. being trans is an integral part of my identity and that isn’t going away just because i’m finally able to embrace my femininity
me being a lesbian is something i’ve only started to realize and accept recently. i didn’t think it was okay for me to call myself a lesbian even though i’m a feminine-ish identifying person who is only attracted to women and feminine identifying nonbinary people
i hold myself to weird standards compared to everyone else. it’s self-hypocritical of me because i believe that transmasc lesbians are valid, he/him lesbians are valid, and so many other “contradictory” lesbian identities are valid, but me identifying as a lesbian? not valid. i’ve finally started to accept it and embrace it because i AM a lesbian, but there’s still that small part of my brain that’s like “you can’t be a lesbian”
this post is not just me seeking validation (although it would be nice because of how much my brain tries to convince me i’m not valid). i’m just kinda rambling/venting/ranting, whatever you wanna call it.
anyway, tldr; gender and sexuality are fucky. i’m kinda a girl, not in a cis way even though i’m afab. i’m just reclaiming my femininity, and if anyone is even reading this, i just want you to know that you’re valid

Hello! Your art is really amazing and I also have a question to ask you if you wouldn't mind
I don't mean this in a rude way and the reason I'm asking is because I'm curious, why do you ship Ortho/Idia and Lilia/Silver?
+ Anonymous asked:
Hello ! I was wondering what make you ship ortho and idia ? No jugements here I also shipped family members in the past for various reasons, but I can’t seem to see the appeal of this particular ship. Anyway, have a nice day ! (btw sorry for my grammar i’m not english)
-------------
Hi, Anons! Seems like I’m starting all of my replies with apologizing for being late, this one isn’t an exception lol This is another ask that I wanted to think about for a while to make sure that I reply to it properly.
Thank you so much for liking my art and thank you for approaching this question in a polite way. I know this is a controversial topic, this is why we try to be honest about it, but at the same time not to post about it too often; but if you’re curious, I don’t mind talking about it. Ehh but this post is super long, I don’t know if you wanted it to be this long haha well.
Obligatory disclaimer,in case there are any people out there who still don’t realise where we stand on this issue: fiction is fiction, any topic or trope could be explored and played around with in fiction, and there is no direct correlation between the tropes a person loves and their moral code or life choices. One does not “support *something*” by shipping a certain ship. It’s not that deep.
With that out of the way, let’s proceed! Starting with Ortho/Idia. The reply’s mostly about them, tbh.
And right away, another disclaimer: like I mentioned in another post on this topic, us shipping Ortho and Idia romantically doesn’t mean that we don’t appreciate the platonic reading of their relationship. The idea that platonic love could be super strong and tragic and make a person do drastic things for their sibling’s happiness is great and rarely explored in fiction. Believe it or not, we just really love the way they’re written, and even though we ship them romantically, we’re not blind to this version of their dynamic and we love that twst has a storyline like this. This storyline made me lose my mind as a shipper, but even if we look at it platonically, the fact that Idia called out the hypocrisy of swooning over Orpheus and Eurydice and yet people thinking that him (Idia) desperately wanting to bring back his brother is wrong is just beautiful.
Alright, that’s all the disclaimers, let’s dive into the shipping territory and talk about our feelings.
I don’t know, man, they just… love each other so much. The sheer volume of their love is so impressive and beautiful, and when it comes to shipping tropes that we like, they pretty much tick all the boxes.  I’ll try to explain it in more detail and with examples.
Since it’s a little bit hard to talk about them because there are so many versions of Ortho, I’ll try to say things that are common to all of them. And when I’m talking about a specific version of Ortho, I’ll mention that.
First of all, we really love ships that force characters to open up, develop, evolve and enhance the traits that we love about them. This is why in all of my character rants I tend to talk about their relationships with others, and in all of my headcanon posts I tend to talk about canonical events a lot: these things are strongly tied together for us. So naturally, I’ll start by talking about Ortho and the way his character works (and develops) through his relationships with Idia.
To be honest, we didn’t really care for Ortho at first. He wasn’t all that interesting to us based on his design and character quirks (alright, a cute robot boy, we get it), but once we got to know him better, he literally became one of our favourites. Because he is so much more than just a cute robot boy who only acts like a mascot or does whatever Idia wants him to do.
Even though he is perceived (mostly by the fandom, but also by some of the characters) as a child, he is definitely not an innocent and gullible baby. If we compare AI-Ortho to original Ortho from the flashback, it becomes very clear just how different they are. Ortho from the flashback is a very young child: he sounds, acts and talks like one. AI-Ortho, even though he’s based on the original Ortho, is nothing like that, because he grows, develops and learns with time. Ortho has shown again and again that he is smart, he could be quite cunning, his morals are questionable (since, you know, he is an AI and not a person), and he is quite reflective and perceptive. He is much more mature than he is given credit for, and a big part of it is that his main role is to take care of Idia. And not just in a “drink water, niisan” kind of way: he also acts as Idia’s emotional crutch at times. Ortho is very attentive to Idia’s emotional state, because this is what he’s been doing his entire robo-life: making sure that Idia is feeling alright, comforting him, reassuring him constantly, finding this fragile balance between not pushing Idia too hard and trying to inspire him to socialize with others as much as he can. This takes a lot of empathy and emotional wisdom; it’s clear that between him and Idia, Ortho takes the role of a mature caretaking person, even though he could still be a little bit naïve at times. And as he learns and adapts, he becomes more strict and more pushy with Idia, he learns how to persuade him, manipulate him, how to trick him. He becomes less anxious and scared to accidentally hurt Idia, because he knows what’s best for him.
Ortho as a character develops through his relationships with Idia, and we really love how big of a role Idia plays in his life. Of course, it’s obvious, because Ortho’s main purpose is to assist Idia, but the thing is, he’s always had his own agency about it. From one of his birthday vignettes we learn that Idia didn’t really want to talk to him at first when he created him, so Ortho had to analyze movies and learn how to have a proper emotional human-like dialogue, trying to find a way to approach Idia. And this “trying to find a way to approach him, trying to find a way to communicate with him, trying to make him happy” is Ortho’s entire life quest, but it’s such a dynamic quest that makes him learn a lot about himself as well. Even though Ortho only got his “heart” at the end of chapter 6, I think he developed feelings much earlier than that.
Which leads us to a very specific trope that we love in ships and media: an AI that falls in love/becomes obsessed with a person it serves. And not necessarily in a healthy or human way, since its grasp of empathy and ethics is much different from a human being’s, which makes its love weird and uncanny and yet strong and absolutely genuine. As I mentioned in one of the previous replies, the idea of AI-Ortho developing feelings for Idia, despite not being programmed to feel this way, is heartbreakingly beautiful. And this is exactly what happened to them: Idia is a genius, but he still wouldn’t be able to make AI-Ortho love him as much as he ended up loving him. So all of it is on Ortho…
Another group of tropes that we love a lot are overprotectiveness, unhealthy obsessions and yandere scenarios. And boy these two deliver when it comes to that. They are super protective over each other.
We really enjoyed Ortho’s Ignihyde Gear vignette, in which he overhears some Diasomnia students talking shit about him and Idia and tries to fry them with lasers, because being rude to Idia is an unforgivable sin to Ortho, to the point that he doesn’t even care when Trein calls him out for endangering others. He gets super upset when Trein bans him from going to classes with Idia though, and when he tells Idia about it, Idia gets furious… because how could these assholes bully Ortho, and how could Trein punish Ortho when he was only standing up for himself! The first instinct for both of them in this situation is to get back at assholes for hurting someone they care about. They worry about each other to the degree that they immediately become very antagonistic and cruel towards anyone who wrongs their loved one. And this is such a great trope for us, we love it a lot. In general, if you can describe a ship with a phrase “have you ever loved someone so much you’d want to destroy the world for them”, we’re most likely on board with it, having a mental breakdown because of how absolutely beautiful it is. And this is even a minor example, compared to everything that’s happened in chapter 6… When you look at it from the shipper point of view, the entirety of chapter 6 is so painfully romantic. (Also, even if instead of AI-Ortho we had a real Ortho, I’m pretty sure he would’ve been just as overprotective. The Shrouds are not okay.)
Another good theme of this ship is that ever since they were kids, they were all alone; all they have is each other, and that hasn’t changed even now, as the events of the game unfold. I love this bittersweet feeling of them being the only people who are capable of understanding each other in this big world, it’s such a unique (for a lot of reasons) and extremely strong bond. And it doesn’t matter which version of Ortho you take: be it the canonverse, be it an AU in which the original Ortho never died, they would still be extremely close and feel like the two of them are somewhat separated from the rest of the world. Their experience together is different, no one knows that they went through, and ships with such a great connection are always fun for us to play around with. Especially when their bond comes with a heavy baggage. A lot of things that I’ve described could be very unhealthy, and again, even if Ortho was alive, their relationship with Idia wouldn’t be all that healthy. Idia is very dependent on Ortho, he clings to him and could be pretty much helpless without him. No matter the AU(or canon), Idia always seems like someone who is filled with guilt over it, but just can’t help it. And at the same time, he might feel that Ortho has so much more to live for than to waste his life on his useless brother, and that he has to let him go. Idia is always ready to sacrifice pretty much everything about himself for Ortho, always has been, as we saw it in the flashback. The trauma, the codependence, the jealousy – all these feelings could eat Idia (or Ortho for that matter) alive, and we’ll always enjoy this type of content with them.
Also, here is a fun little bonus. Another interesting thing that I noticed and also some people pointed out as well (well, I’ve seen only one, but I’m not sure we’re the only people who noticed that) is that Ortho and Idia’s story kind of has some correlations with Hercules and Megara’s story. I am very biased because I adore Meg, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Well, Ortho does have a lot of motifs of Hercules and it’s a fact: he “goes from zero to hero”, he is being called “Monsieur Wonder” (Wonderboy), he wanted to be a hero ever since he was a child. And at the end of his arc he had an opportunity to start living a new life, true to who he is (stop pretending to be Ortho Shroud and find his own identity = joining the gods on Olympus), but ends up staying with the one he loves instead (just like Hercules stayed with Meg, because “I finally know where I belong”).
Idia is clearly based on Hades and he doesn’t let us forget it for a moment with his constant quoting, but he still has some interesting traits that resemble Meg as well. He is kinda stuck doing a job he hates (although this is true to Hades as well). And even though his backstory is very different from hers, ultimately, he is a cynical heartbroken person who is disappointed in life and doesn’t want to get hurt again, and who also has a huge soft spot for a certain wonderboy who is very genuine and kind to him, which also makes him feel deep and constant guilt. I really love this unintentional (?) crossover lol
And the last thing, If we’re being open and honest, there are also some aspects of Ortho and Idia’s relationship that hit close to home to us personally. Not the incest thing of course, but the way their dynamic works. Without diving deeper into details of our personal life, let me just say that when Ortho said that he just doesn’t want Idia to be misunderstood and mistreated by others, I felt it.
It’s funny that you, the first Anon, asked about both Ortho/Idia and Lilia/Silver, of course I know what makes these two ships similar lol, but the thing is, our attitude towards Lilia/Silver is a bit different simply because we don’t know them as well as we do Ortho and Idia. With Lilia and Silver, our feelings could basically be described as “well that would be fun/hot, wouldn’t it?”. It’s more on a sexy side of things, even though there are some deeper aspects of their relationships that we love and find interesting. The fact that we love both Lilia and Silver individually also makes them quite a nice ship. They just have a lot of potential for both cute scenarios and really really problematic, unhealthy and fucked up ones. The only reason I’m not writing a 4 page long essay on these two is because I don’t have as much to say about them… yet. Sorry, there’re so many characters in TW, and it takes a while both to get to everyone and to enjoy the ones we’re pretty confident about, so idk how long it’ll take for us to truly dive into Lilia/Silver as much as we have with Ortho/Idia.
TLDR; We love unhealthy dynamics, codependence, possessiveness and readiness to act drastically for a loved one. Ortho and Idia love each other dearly, and there is a lot of baggage and layers to their relationships, no matter which version of Ortho and Idia you take. Lilia and Silver also have a lot of potential for fun unhealthy scenarios, but they are also very hot together, and we are very self-indulgent, sooo don’t mind if we do.
And finally, let’s save all the right and healthy dynamics for real life. In fiction, it’s fun to look at things that are interesting, unusual and taboo. It’s always been this way with us; we’re just naturally drawn towards ships that have problematic elements in them, since they tend to have more potential for messed-up scenarios (and we prefer those). Even in ships with zero age gap and no family relation between the characters whatsoever, we enjoy playing with the idea of unhealthy obsessions, dependence and all this jazz.  We just really love dark media, and not only for shipping purposes.
It’s also ironic, considering the topic of this particular post, but we aren’t that into incest as a trope/kink, haven’t been at least. We’re just very open-minded when a ship grabs our attention, and this is exactly what’s been happening lately with all these couples lol
I guess that’s it? Let me know if you have any more questions, and I really hope that I managed to explain what we see in these ships properly. If this monster of a reply isn’t enough for you for some reason and you crave more of our thoughts, please read this one too…
Thank you for reading! And have a good day.

Hey guys,
I want to clarify some things in case I haven’t been clear enough about them before. Lately I have gotten masses on asks that are just plain weird and it’s making me uncomfortable and I am pretty fed up, so also sorry for the rant. But like I said countless times already, most people don’t really check for this anyway, I still think it should be said and are gonna include it in my FAQ.
1. I don’t want to roleplay with you. No matter how nice, experienced, careful you are, I have no interest in RPing, I never did it and never will do it probably. I don’t consent to being roleplayed at and it’s not okay to send me messages in yandere RP talking about how you’ll kill people that wrong me or adore me so much you want to kill my family and keep me to yourself. I am not sure where someone would get the idea from to think that’s okay to send to anyone, but if you don’t have the social maturity to know that you can’t just say that to someone, I pity you. I only write yandere. I don’t want to live in those fantasies and I especially don’t want people harrassing me to engage in their roleplay. Especially not without warning. No means no, also through messenger or on any other blog of mine, and I will not reconsider no matter how many asks I am being sent. Go to a proper roleplaying blog and interact with them.
2. If you are a minor and think you absolutely have to be on my blog, then don’t interact with me. I don’t allow you on my blog, so if you think this is where your internet rebellion needs to happen then leave me out of it. I am not responsible for you or your internet use and I don’t want to interact with, and I say that with all due respect, people who don’t match my age. I turn 25 soon, I have no reasons and no intentions to talk to teenagers. I will block you if I find out, but I don’t have the time and energy to go through every follower to check. It’s simply not that important to me to play parental supervision for kids that do what they want anyway and haven’t matured enough to understand they are not welcome. If you have to be on my blog, at least be quiet and don’t interact with me via asks and comments.
3. Stop telling me what to with my blog unless I ask for help. It has occured more than a couple dozen times now that people think they should tell me I should censor words because they don’t like them, cut my stories at points they think would make better endings, or change my layout? If I didn’t ask, who does anyone think they are to tell me what to do? I already relent so much whenever someone tells me to tag literally anything as if this is Ao3 and you don’t have an ask/warnings on top you should have read first. I even relent when people tell me to put a read more for barely 1k words, even though they don’t know how much that stops the post from being seen and acknowledged (no shit, read more’s actually kill engagement). And yes, there are the well-meant messages who alert me to problems with links or the like and I am glad to fix these, but otherwise, who asked? If someone is so unhappy with my posts then leave, I am not keeping you locked here. Same goes for my masterpost. I know it’s outdated. It haunts me every day, I hate it so much. Never wanted to do it, so leave me alone until I have time and peace to go through posts and add links to it. Use the search functions/tags, please be a bit more respectful to me and my time and do some work for yourself. It’s not my job to hand out everything on a silver platter.
4. I don’t do requests that obviously are OCs or compliant darlings. Seriously, why do we still have to go over this? Pay me when my commissions are open, or leave me alone. I just don’t like it. The internet is free, my time and sanity isn’t. I won’t create your OC for you just because you make your reader super detailed and ask me how reactions would be to them/from them. I don’t know how your OC would react, seems like a job for you to figure it out. And for the compliant darling, I understand that it can be a fine line between the two, but no matter if romantically, platonically, etc. If your darling is absolutely fine with all the yandere behavior then send the request to someone else. I don’t care for it. I’ll just trash it upon receiving. Maybe on that note, please don’t send me requests that aren’t yandere either. Don’t make me tap my username to remind you it’s a yandere blog. It’s not supposed to be wholesome and cushy and cute unless you feel a hint of dread and murderous intent.
And like always, don’t send requests twice, ask me for updates, tell me your negative opinion on my choices, ask for part 2′s and add unnecessary smut to your requests. I know not everyone has my sickness of overthinking things 7 times before sending them to someone, but? Treat me like a human and not your personal writing AI? Thanks.

(I did some of the writing yesterday so the pictures may look darker than others!!)
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while <:(
I’ve been just doing my own thing and I haven’t had that much motivation to draw, but to pass the time I’ve been playing a lot of ANTONBALL! <x)
So I’m just gonna rant about how ANTONBALL’s been like-
Also:
Tumblr media
This’ll be a long one so if you don’t want to read that much it’s fine <:]
So let’s get started! So, I beat world 3 right? I did! And to be honest it didn’t take that long!! It was actually really fun, and as much as I thought the ice flooring was gonna be a problem-
Tumblr media
-it wasn’t to bad! And I’m pretty proud of myself for finishing it so fast :D
Tumblr media
I guess the only problem I had with it was the…..
The….
T H E M O L E S…….
But we’ll get to them eventually ;]
(In the future at least-)
After I was done with world 3 I moved to world 4, and that’s when I took a break for a bit because, well- I started the first level for world 4, and um-
Tumblr media
Well- it was- a bit overwhelming- 😀
As much as it looks to be not as bad it really wasn’t. At least for me. This first level hit hard for no reason and I didn’t like it one bit. This level does not bring me any sort of joy what so ever. I hate it.
But I beat it eventually so it’s not as bad now, it’s just the fact that sometimes- I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT POSITION I’M SUPPOSED TO BE IN?? Like where am I supposed to go huh???? It seriously is very difficult for me >:(
The only thing saving it afterwards was this level-
Tumblr media
Now I know what people say- it’s the fact the game was so cruel to add PITS. But y’know what? They aren’t so bad! I just stay in the corner and pray to god that I don’t accidentally move my joy stick the wrong way- 😀 I just imagine they aren’t even there!
Tumblr media
Now level 3 is a hard one, y’know why? BECAUSE THEY HAVE THESE-
Tumblr media
I HATE THESE- THESE ARE LITERALLY TERRIFYING WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA???????
These are like those platforms that FORCE YOU to try and not stand on and just KEEP RUNNING. They are treadmills that are really fast for now reason and I HATE THEM. Every time I slipped off I had to RUN FOR MY LIFE JUST TO GET BACK ON THE SAFE PLATFORM ON TOP-
Tumblr media
I DIDN’T THINK THIS GAME WOULD MAKE MY HEART RACE AS MUCH AS IT DID BUT OH BOY DID IT- 😃
After that little fiasco, you could imagine that level 4 and 5 were hard right? Well- I mean I got used to them 🤷‍♀️
Forth one really wasn’t that bad, the only problem that occurred for me was the fact that the back part had a HUGE HOLE and the balls were easily able to go in, so any time I slipped up I always felt like an idiot-
Tumblr media
Now Level 5 was a bit nerve racking because of how low my health was at that point but I BARELY made it with one heart left- And honestly it wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be! Every time I made some sort of progress the wall behind it pushed it towards me (which scared me a bit each time), and it surprisingly helped(??). The one thing that irritated me though was that the ball couldn’t hit THE FRICKEN BOTTOM BLOCKS so I had to use the gun BEFOREHAND to get rid of them so it wouldn’t be much of a problem later. It took a toll one me. 🙂
Other than THAT. I finished world 4. And it was “fun” 😀🔫 At least the second level for me. I’m still currently cracking at World 5 and since I don’t have enough space for my complaints on that one, I’ll do a separate post for it when I’m done. I still want to illustrate sketches 😅
Tumblr media
I again am sorry for my absence <:]

thank you for your mercy in crossing out “all of them”, because i think i’d have to skip sleep tonight to get that done. :p but two is absolutely okay!

Danny Williams and the Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Neighborhood Barbecue
this is a recent addition to the WIP pile! it’s a post-canon fic in which (obviously) danny still lives with steve, when he discovers that steve barely knows his neighbors. so they throw a barbecue to get to know them better, and then (also obviously) it turns out that all their neighbors think they're a couple. everyone keeps making nice comments to danny about it (“how did you meet?” “your boyfriend is good at the grill, but your pasta salad is my favorite!” “oh, i'm glad to see you finally took the step and moved in - i used to see your car here all the time.” “you guys have adorable kids!” etc.) and danny keeps having to explain that yes, they’re partners, yes, they live together, yes, steve is basically raising his kids with him, but not like that, while every new neighbor he meets has the wrong idea all over again and steve seems oddly chill about it. cue eventual confrontation in the privacy of their kitchen, of course, where danny figures out that maybe steve is chill about it for a reason.
these are the first four paragraphs:
The worst of it is that it’s his own fault, and nobody else’s. While walking Eddie down the street, more to stretch his own legs than because the dog needs any more outdoor time considering all the people it lives with that go for daily jogs (which is two, but that’s plenty), Danny sees the neighbor from three doors down watering plants in her front yard. He stops for a friendly little chat, the way people sometimes do if they’ve been decently socialized through the virtue of having an upbringing in which none of their parents faked their death.
When he and Eddie get back home, he crosses paths with Steve in the kitchen, and when he tells Steve he just talked to Mrs. Hernandez about flowers that look pretty but don’t require too much upkeep, Steve says, “Who?”
Which is how Danny learns that Steve, a man who has lived in this very house for most of the years he’s been alive and also loves not only prying into other people’s business but having all of the facts in every possible situation, doesn’t know most of his own neighbors’ names. “How is that even possible?” Danny asks, at the end of a little rant about how stupid that is, which Steve bears alternately with patience and mildly hurt personal pride. “How have you never once thrown a big barbecue to at least know who’s supposed to be walking around on your street?”
“Huh,” Steve says, like he’s pleasantly surprised by the practicality of that suggestion. Danny is fully ready to take that the wrong way and rant a little more, when Steve cuts him off by pulling a notepad and a pen from a kitchen drawer and asking, “Can you make that macaroni salad you do, but bigger?”

Our Dear Mr. Wilson’s Guide To Becoming A Successful Contributing Member Of A Team Of Internationally Renowned High-Tech Do-Gooder Criminals
ooh, i’ve had a lot of fun with this one so far! but it’s also specifically early season 1 leverage redemption fic, so it’s fallen by the wayside a bit after it didn’t get finished fast enough and canon had moved past the point where this idea was immediately relevant. it’s essentially a harry POV numbered list describing what (not) to do when dealing with the leverage team - stuff like don’t anger the guy who used to be a hitman (but definitely don’t anger any of the others, because that’s worse), avoid any performance of sophie’s that’s not related to a con, don’t get between breanna and gummy bears.
here’s a chunk of “don’t try to ask which of your new partners in crime are partners with which other partners in crime”:
“So what’s the deal with Hardison and Parker?”
“What deal?”
“Nothing. Just, I get the impression that you and Parker…”
Eliot does not take the obvious invitation to fill in the gap. He just raises his eyebrows, at once vaguely threatening and threateningly vague.
Harry soldiers on. “And when Hardison was still here, it seemed like you and him were also- Also close.”
Eliot rumbles. It’s unclear if it’s in agreement. “Why? Are you trying to figure out if I’m single? I’m being hit on. Is that what’s happening here?”
Not only can Harry not figure out if Eliot is serious or not, he’s also completely unsure if that undertone of a growl is base level grump, an expression of mutual interest, or rising homicidal rage. Harry smiles. “Never mind,” he says, and beats a hasty retreat.
