Shayna x reader enemy’s to lovers trope
Enemies to lovers || Shayna Baszler x Reader
Summary: You and Shayna have never been friendly, actually, you've had several feuds against each other. The writers decide they want to explore a different side of your stories and they put you in a relationship.
Tumblr media
You never thought you'd see the day when you and Shayna Baszler would be put in a romantic relationship on screen. Your characters had been bitter enemies for so long, and now the writers wanted to explore a different direction for your story. It was a surprising twist, to say the least, and one that left you feeling both intrigued and apprehensive.
Even off-screen and out of the ring, your relationship with Shayna had always been tense. You admired her skill and determination in the ring, but there was a deep-rooted rivalry between you two that made it hard to get along. However, as the days passed and you started rehearsing the scenes for your on-screen romance, you couldn't help but notice a change in the air.
The chemistry between you and Shayna was undeniable. As you ran through the scenes together, there was a newfound connection, a spark that seemed to ignite whenever you looked into each other's eyes. At first, you dismissed it as simply getting into character, but as the days turned into weeks, you couldn't deny the feelings that were starting to bubble up.
It was during a promo where you were supposed to kiss Shayna good luck before she left for her match that you realized there was something more to this than just acting. The moment your lips met Shayna's, you felt a surge of electricity run through you, and the emotions that had been simmering beneath the surface suddenly came to the forefront.
Off set, you found yourself thinking about Shayna more and more. You couldn't shake the feeling that there was something special between you two, something that went beyond the scripted romance. It was confusing and overwhelming, but you couldn't deny that you were drawn to her in a way you had never experienced before.
One day, you found yourself alone with Shayna in her dressing room. The tension between you two was palpable, and neither of you could ignore the feelings that were swirling in the air. Shayna took a deep breath, breaking the silence.
"Look, I know we've never been the best of friends," she began, her voice soft but sincere. "But there's something between us, isn't there?"
You nodded, unable to find the words to express the whirlwind of emotions you were feeling. "I don't know what's happening, Shayna. This whole on-screen romance thing... it's bringing up real feelings for me, and I don't know how to handle it."
Shayna stepped closer, reaching out to gently cup your cheek. "I feel it too," she admitted, her gaze locked with yours. "I never thought I could have these kinds of feelings for someone I've been at odds with for so long, but here we are."
You took a deep breath, trying to steady your racing heart. "What do we do now?" you asked, feeling vulnerable and exposed.
Shayna smiled softly, her thumb tracing gentle circles on your cheek. "I think we should explore this," she said. "I don't want to let fear or past rivalries hold us back from something that could be really special."
Her words warmed your heart, and you knew she was right. You didn't want to let the past dictate your future. With a surge of courage, you leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Shayna's lips. The connection between you two felt even stronger now, and you knew that there was something real and meaningful blossoming between you.
From that moment on, you and Shayna embarked on a new chapter in your lives. The on-screen romance had opened the door to something unexpected and beautiful, and you were both willing to see where it led.
As the days turned into weeks, you found yourselves falling deeper in love with each other. The tension and animosity that had once defined your relationship had been replaced with love, respect, and a shared passion for both wrestling and each other.
You couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected turn of events that had brought you and Shayna together. It was proof that sometimes the most unlikely of connections could blossom into something truly magical. And as you stood hand in hand with Shayna, ready to face whatever the future held, you knew that this was just the beginning of a beautiful love story.

Short Story Tournament
THE QUEEN OF SPADES by Alexander Pushkin (1892) (link) - tw: death
"My grandmother invented a little story by way of excuse for not having paid her debt, and then sat down at the table, and began to stake. She took three cards. She won with the first; doubled her stake on the second, and won again; doubled on the third, and still won."
TO BUILD A FIRE by Jack London (1908) (link) - tw: death, attempted animal murder
The trouble with him was that he was not able to imagine. He was quick and ready in the things of life, but only in the things, and not in their meanings. Fifty degrees below zero meant 80 degrees of frost. Such facts told him that it was cold and uncomfortable, and that was all. It did not lead him to consider his weaknesses as a creature affected by temperature. Nor did he think about man’s general weakness, able to live only within narrow limits of heat and cold.

“In society she played the most pitiable role. Everybody knew her and nobody gave her any thought. At balls she danced only when someone was short of a partner, and the ladies would take her by the arm each time they wanted to go to the cloak-room to rearrange some detail of their toilette. She was sensitive and felt her position keenly, and looked about impatiently for a deliverer to come; but the young men, calculating in their empty-headed frivolity, honoured her with scant attention though Lizaveta Ivanovna was a hundred times more charming than the cold, brazenfaced heiresses they ran after.”
The Queen of Spades - Alexander Pushkin

I was actually interested, how do the king of hearts and the king of spades relate to each other in general? They were not shown in the book (comic) "Wonderland" how they relate, they just stood there ( the king of spades only had one replica and the king of hearts was not given a word 😞)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really don't know, I looked at the comic very quickly because I didn't know it, and according to what I've seen, the queen of hearts and the queen of spades have interacted, but the king of hearts and the king of spades don't tell each other not a word, so my answer is that I don't know 😣

New || Shayna Baszler x Reader
Tumblr media
In a world where love had always felt distant and elusive, meeting Shayna Baszler was like discovering a new universe. Your past had been marred by feelings of being used and discarded, leaving you with scars that seemed impossible to heal. Every interaction had left you cautious, always waiting for the other shoe to drop. But then Shayna entered your life.
She was a force of nature, both fierce and unyielding in the ring, yet gentle and caring in your presence. It was a love you couldn't quite grasp, a feeling that had never been a part of your reality before. Shayna treated you with a tenderness that made your heart ache, her actions speaking louder than words ever could.
At times, you found yourself struggling to comprehend the depth of her emotions. The way she looked at you, with eyes that held a mixture of adoration and protectiveness, made your heart race. Her touch sent shivers down your spine, a sensation that was both unfamiliar and intoxicating.
As the days turned into weeks and then months, Shayna showed no signs of faltering. She remained a steady presence in your life, a rock amidst the chaos of your past. She listened to your fears and insecurities, holding you close as you bared your soul to her. She wasn't just there for the good times – she embraced every part of you, even the parts you deemed unlovable.
But there were moments when doubt crept in, when you questioned why someone like Shayna would be so invested in you. The old wounds whispered that you were unworthy of such love, that it was only a matter of time before she realized the truth and left. In those moments of vulnerability, Shayna was there, a pillar of strength to guide you through the storm.
One evening, as you lay in her arms, your fingers tracing patterns on her chest, you voiced the thoughts that had been plaguing your mind.
"I don't understand," you admitted softly. "Why me? Why would someone like you love someone like me?"
Shayna's gaze softened, her fingers gently lifting your chin to meet her eyes. The sincerity in her voice was unwavering as she spoke.
"Because you're you," she said, her tone laced with conviction. "You're unique, strong, and beautiful in ways you can't even see. I love you for who you are, flaws and all. You've never been used with me, and you never will be."
Tears welled up in your eyes as you looked into her eyes, a mixture of gratitude and disbelief washing over you. Shayna leaned in, her lips pressing against yours in a kiss that was both gentle and passionate. It was a kiss that held all the reassurance and affirmation you needed, a kiss that erased the doubts that had haunted you.
With Shayna by your side, you began to navigate this new world of love – a world that was unfamiliar but breathtaking in its beauty. And in those moments of doubt, when you felt the weight of your past bearing down on you, Shayna would be there to remind you of the truth – that you were loved, cherished, and worthy of all the happiness in the world.
